We chose Edible Elegance by Eli to make our wedding cake concept and idea for our wedding day. After several tastings, we selected Eli to create our wedding cake. From the start, the attention to our vision, the cake tasting meetings, the communication and the empathy towards our vision was treated with respect and professionalism. She was able to bring to life the wedding cake of our dreams. With two different flavors to choose from, our guests still comment on the beautiful creation and amazing taste of the cakes. Thank you very much Eli for your dedication, professionalism and for trusting us with the design, concepts and ideas. The cake you were able to create for our special event was truly amazing. You are truly an artist and your passion for what you do is beyond expectation. We are looking forward to our one year anniversary cake. Thanks again for everything!

Above and beyond!!

Eli was so amazing to work with. She was able to see my vision for my cake and make it a reality! It was also amazingly delicious in addition to being picture perfect of what I wanted. Could not recommend her enough !!

Great Experience

We hosted our daughter's wedding last weekend and purchased the chocolate dipped pretzels to add to our guest welcome bags. Not only were they yummy, they matched the color scheme of all of the wedding decor. Our guests loved them! We also arranged for Edible Elegance to make a birthday cake for the groom's mom, to be shared at our rehearsal dinner. She loves vanilla cake with strawberry frosting, and our cake had just that with fresh strawberries on top. She was thrilled - the cake was beautiful, and absolutely delicious, and it was devoured by the wedding party and our families! I would highly recommend this wonderful bakery - they are so friendly and helpful, and their creations are wonderful.

One of the best cakes we've ever had!

I can't say enough how wonderful our wedding cake was! The cake was moist and delicious with buttercream frosting that was just the right amount of sweetness. They have multiple flavors and fillings to choose from. We also ordered cupcakes and they were just as heavenly. The whole process was a breeze with great communication and quick responses! The only bad thing I can say is that we live in the Northeast so I can't enjoy Edible Elegance as often as I would like! Every trip to Sarasota area will include a stop for a treat!

This cake shop is the best. I live in Colorado but the wedding was in Florida. i read the reviews and viewed the web site pictures. Loved the designs on the cakes. my wedding was small so i only needed a two tier cake but i wanted it to look
very special. I emailed the shop several times on ideas, and using combination of several cakes.
The final cake as just perfect and oh my goodness the taste was out of this world. Several local people asked where
i got it.
i would only use this shop if i lived in town!!!

They were great! I searched pics of cakes and they made the perfect version of what I was looking for. They were flexible with the flavors and helped my husband with the groom's cake. Espresso Chocolate Chip--WOW. The grooms cake was customized to look like my husband's hockey jersey and what a job they did! Beautiful and delicious! We had so many people rave about it! Perfect!

We heard about Matt and Dom from a friend of ours and we were so happy we chose them to make our cake!

After our initial tasting, we knew we didn't need to go anywhere else. Matt and Dom provided an amazing selection and each cake we tried was absolutely delicious.

In addition to our wedding cake, we also ordered a groom's cake with them. Both cakes were exactly how I had envisioned and exactly what I had hoped for.

I am so happy that I chose to work with Matt and Dom and I highly recommend them to anyone looking to have a beautiful and incredibly tasting cake.

Matt & Dom made us a delicious wedding cake!! I communicated with them only through e-mail since I was planning a destination wedding & they were always professional & quick to respond. I looked into other bakeries where I was quoted DOUBLE for the same size cake. We had a cookies & cream cake..my guests & my husband & myself all loved it. They delivered on time & the cake itself was absolutely beautiful.

Matt and Dom's came highly recommended by our event coordinator at Pier 22. We contacted them for a tasting and were so impressed we didn't bother looking any further. The cake was delicious and they have so many options available. I think what really pushed me over the edge was that they do not make their cakes ahead of time and freeze them. Every cake these brothers make is made fresh within 2-3 days of the event.

I couldn't have asked for a more PERFECT wedding cake! I had a destination wedding and actually stumbled upon this quaint little bakery shop and I couldn't have been more pleased. The cakes they make are so fresh and so elegant! Matt and Dom are super easy to work with and I've never tasted a more delicious cake! My wedding cake was beautiful and exactly what I had hoped for!

We ordered our wedding cake from Matt and Dom's after tasting their cake at a bridal show. Our cake was beautiful! It was exactly what we asked for. It tasted absolutely amazing too! We could not have been happier. Their cakes are in a completely different category from every other bakery we considered.

Wonderful job on our cake and cupcakes for our 1/24/15 wedding at The Beachhouse Restaurant on Anna Maria Island. They delivered the cake on time and with all of it's associated parts! I loved it and so did the guests at our wedding! The cake was flavorful and moist, the frosting was not too sweet and perfectly thick/rigid for the cupcakes (to hold the shell ornaments) and smooth marzipan for the cake topper. Great service, very professional, easy to work with (somewhat of a rush), great designs to chose from and customize! WONDERFUL, WONDERFUL job! Can't say enough!

DELICIOUS! Matt & Dom's made the perfect cake for our wedding! It was seriously the best cake I have ever tasted. Ever. My husband has a major sweet tooth and this was one really important item for us, and Matt & Dom's cake exceeded our expectations in every way possible. The detailing on the cake was beautiful and the flavors just right! Our guests loved the cake. I loved the cake so much I even asked my husband to smash it in my face.. (That's how you know it's good cake!) Oh and we even ate cake for breakfast the next day. I would absolutely recommend you check them out. You will be glad you did.

They bake the most amazing cakes I think I have ever tasted. After the tasting I was really excited for my mini cake and my cupcakes as well. They created a buttercream frosting for my husband who was determined to have white chocolate buttercream on the red velvet cupcakes. The raspberry buttercream was amazing with the chocolate cake. Matt and Dom were both very sweet and they are very talented at what they do.

Our wedding cake was amazing, not just the fresh flower design, but the flavor was amazing! Our guest noted to us how moist and fresh the cake was, not just beautiful! Matt and Dom worked with us to fulfill our dream cake and left no details out. The buttercream frosting was truly buttercream, and the filling was true in flavor and texture, generous!
The value and price were better than a common grocery store in our area, and they delivered on time and with professionalism. Our cake was more than we imagined!

We ordered a small wedding cake from Matt & Dom's for an intimate destination wedding on Anna Maria Island. Our cake was beautiful and absolutely delicious. Matt was a pleasure to work with and responded quickly to the many emails I sent asking about organic fillings and colorants and even what shells could be used that didn't need to be bleached. (I am very eco & health conscious and they went above and beyond to accomodate us!)

Our cake was delivered on-time and our topper placed while we were at the beach getting married during a very small delivery window, as requested. I'd highly recommend Matt and Dom's. They're wonderful!

Our wedding cake was PERFECT! Their service was AMAZING!
The colors were bold, the design was simple and tasteful, and placing the order was fun and exciting. They make your tasting experience a wonderful memory, provide plenty of options and examples, and work directly with you to design the optimum cake for your big day. The included delivery of the cake for a small fee, and set up right on time. We had a special request, a Doctor Who and Manatee themed vegan (no eggs and no dairy) cake. No one noticed that it was vegan from the taste, and we had endless compliments from our guests on how pretty it looked and how moist and delicious it was. My new hubby and I had trouble agreeing on a flavor when we placed the order, so we had the bottom as chocolate/raspberry and the top as chocolate/orange. Highly recommend!

The cake was delicious and almost exactly like the photo I sent that I had found on the internet. My only complaint is that I wasn't able to have a tasting due to living overseas - I so wish I could have tried all the combinations suggested to me!

WOW. Matt & Dom just created a wedding cake and groom's cake for our beach nuptials, and they HIT IT OUT OF THE PARK! You can see the visual artistry. How I wish there was a way to share the taste sensations. Our guests reported they'd never had such delicious wedding cakes! and we agree.

The wedding cake was Key Lime with Orange Marmalade filling and a buttercream frosting. Wonderful combination that our guests went MAD over!

The groom's cake was Pistachio with Chocolate Buttercream filling and buttercream frosting. My husband was delighted, as these, too, were his favorite flavors. And I loved it as well! The next day, there was only a bit of the groom's cake left, and members of the wedding party stood in the kitchen, passing around the vestiges and savoring last bites. Ahhhh.

How can we thank you enough? Perfect topping on our perfect day!

We ordered a groom's cake and a wedding cake from Matt and Dom's. They were professional at every step of the process. Matt and Dom were very professional and attentive at the tasting, and we got to taste some original flavors, not just chocolate and yellow cake. We decided on marble cake for the groom's cake and for almond cake and red velvet for the wedding cake. Both cakes were very tasty and decorated just as we wanted. Our guests loved the flavors, and I saw many people taking photos of the groom's cake, which looked like a football field with our favorite teams represented on either side. Also, Matt and Dom's quoted price was lower than any other quotes we received, so we were able to add a layer. Thank you, Matt and Dom!

Wonderful vendor! Two brothers (Matt and Dom) run this shop and when I went for a tasting, both of them were there to advise me. They took my ideas and made them work more beautifully than I could have ever imagined. They really took the time to figure out what I wanted and made sure that they took their expertise to make it work rather than just letting me make mistakes. The cake was also as delicious as it was beautiful and at a great price!

Matt & Dom's were a pleasure to work with. We hired them to make our wedding cake. The cake tasted wonderful, we picked the one we wanted right from a picture on their wall, gave them a swatch of our color and they did a great job! AWESOME CAKES!! I ordered a beach themed wedding cake that was and an awesome NY Jets themed cake. They were reasonably priced and were delicious. I had so many people tell me it was the best wedding cake they ever had! My wedding was a destination wedding so I planned most of my wedding through emails and phone calls and they were always responsive and professional. Can't say enough good things about Matt and Doms!

My husband and I had been searching for a wedding cake that I could eat for months! I am lactose intollerant, and most places that said they did lactose free cakes really didn't. We finally found Matt & Doms. When I wrote them via email, Matt responded right away! We met with him that next week, and he prepared several different types of cake tastings (all lactose free!). He gave us such a great quote (for fondant, a stand, the design, and taste) that we were blown away. Not only that, their kindness and customer service was amazing. We had scheduled another tasting with Publix that same day, but it totally did not compare. In comparison their prices were inflated, and they could not make Lactose free cakes. So we decided definitely to go with Matt & Doms. On our wedding day, everyone commented on how beautiful AND delicious our wedding cake was! They had no clue it was missing dairy!! Definitely choose Matt & Doms for all your cake needs :).

Amazing! This was the BEST CAKE EVER! So many people came up to me raving about the cake. I wish we had ordered more cake; there was NONE left after the wedding. I got a Sea Turtle cake for the rehearsal and it was such a hit, looked just like a real turtle! Also, NONE left because everyone loved it. I know a lot of people had second servings and more would have if they could. Matt & Dom were great with everything, very responsive and professional. I must admit my family was a bit critical at the tasting and made some rude remarks, but Matt & Dom took everything in stride and didn't hold it against us. They helped me design the cake and it looked even better than I had imagined. I was delighted with everything!

I sent a picture to Matt & Dom's of the wedding cake that I wanted created. They not only created a masterpiece that was what I had in mind, they made it even better! My cake was amazing and beautiful. Not only was the outside of the cake perfect, it tasted fantastic. One of my guests who is not normally a cake person ate TWO pieces! I received several compliments on the cake from other guests as well! Matt and Dom were extremely easy to work with and responsive to my numerous emails leading up to the wedding. I would definitely recommend Matt & Dom's and you will have a cake that will meet your every need and want!

Our wedding cake prepared by Matt and Dom was very delicious! Matt and Dom were a pleasure to work with and were very responsive to emails and phone calls. I would highly recommend them!

Highly recommended!!! Matt responded to my emails very promptly and accommodated all of our requests. Matt & Dom made our perfect wedding cake! All of guests loved the great taste and it was beautifully decorated. Our cake was exactly what I had imagined. I dreamed of the cake and it's taste for months after the tasting and was so pleased on how it turned out. We saved the top for our 1 yr. anniversary I don't know if I can wait that long. The day before our wedding it was my nephews birthday and they made an awesome cake that looked like a gumball machine. It was so realistic and tasted great as well!

Matt and Dom did an AMAZING job on our wedding cake.It was exactly what I had envisioned.The color,design, and taste was executed perfectly.They were extremely easy to work with and I'd definitely would hire them again:)

Matt & Dom's services are AMAZING! Our wedding cake was BEAUTIFUL and not to mention YUMMY!! We had a three tier beach theme cake that turned out AWESOME!! We continue to get compliments on our cake and my husband and I LOVED IT!! I will recommend you use Matt & Dom's services. They are experts in what they do and are friendly and reliable. They delivered and set up our cake and it looks AMAZING!!

Our daughter's wedding cake was incredibly beautiful, and even more delicious! My only regret was that we didn't order a larger cake! Matt and Dom's also made cookies for our favor boxes. These, too were pretty and oh so good! The service was awesome. Thanks so much, Matt and Dom's!

These guys are amazing. I emailed pictures for my destination wedding. They got the design spot-on. The taste was divine. They even called my folks to see if they needed anything & had arrived safely when traveling from out of town. The taste was incredible - two weeks later people are still talking about it. They were able to accomodate our quirky requsests without any issues. Customer service unparalleled.

It was perfect. I had an idea of what I wanted and they helped make it even better than i pictured it. A beautiful, tropical themed cake and an awesome groom's cake of a Tampa Bay Lightning hockey puck were totally cool. Thank you Matt and Dom.

When we went to Matt and Dom's we had a vague idea of what we wanted for our cake. They transformed our ideas into a fabulous and delicious cake that everyone loved. They even matched the stamp that was on our invitations and put in on our cake! We were very happy with the final result and the price was excellent.

I cannot begin to say how happy I was with my wedding cake. Matt knew exactly what I wanted from the first meeting and my vision came to life on my wedding day. I had mentioned that I wanted an orange ombre cake with the inside cake to be orange ombre as well. When I got to the consultation, Matt had actually created the orange ombre cake for us to taste! He went above and beyond and the cake on our wedding day was gorgeous. It tasted so good that most of our guests ate more than one slice. I can't wait to eat it again on our one year anniversary :) Thank you Matt & Dom's!

They made vegan vanilla with strawberry filling for the 2 top tiers and chocolate ganache on the bottom. They were very accommodative and easy to work with, know what they're doing. Cake was delivered on time no issues at all. I would definitely recommend them over Publix or any other bakery!

We can't really speak for any other vendor in the area- we discovered Matt & Dom's thru the Anna Maria Island Wedding Festival and the minute we tasted their Raspberry cake- we were hooked. They were the very first vendor we booked- even before our venue! haha
When we did the tasting, we knew exactly what we wanted but Matt would not allow us to leave without sampling some other options. Long story short- we ended up with 2 cake flavors- the raspberry one we loved and a marble with peanut butter buttercream. On the wedding day- the cake was beautiful and more importantly delicious. Just how we tasted it months before. They were easy to work with, pretty economical in our opinion and the cakes are just fantastic!

This place was great! They did our wedding cake and everyone commented on how delicious and gorgeous it was.

It was a bit of a leap of faith, since I was long distance and could not taste the cakes first, but Matt was so wonderful in being responsive and accommodating in all of his emails. He worked with me in creating a custom design with beautiful sugar gardenia flowers and added fresh strawberries to our cake without charging a bundle. He even let me mail him my own cake tray to his house and answered every single question I had about fondant. (I didn't mind it a bit.) And he delivered the cake on time for free.

I can't compliment the place enough. The cake was beautiful and yummy and the service was top notch. Thank you so much, you guys!!

The cake was delicious!

We went simple with a marble cake with buttercream and everyone loved it.

Working with Matt and Dom was great. I wasn't able to make the cake tasting so they sent my husband home with samples for me to try which was so nice.

They took the photo I sent them and made our cake look exactly as I wanted and used the flower that my florist delivered to them.

I felt that it was a little expensive, and sometimes it took a while to get a response for my emails, but honestly the quality of the cake really is worth the price.

There were many complaints from my guests that the cake looked sloppy. It tasted good, but I emailed them after the wedding and never heard an answer about my complaint. If you would like pictures of the sloppy cake let me know and I will send it to you.

i was very very dissapointed in my wedding cake an grooms cake at matt &dom's we asked for an exact cake they have pictured in their book instead we got a cake that looked like it came out of the publix test factory the flowers on the cake looked like what you find in a do it yourself grocery isle it was a disaster an was the only sore point in my $30.000.00 wedding my grooms cake was suppose to be a play station game system but it looked like a black block and they had cardboard in the cake it was un recognizable an a embarrissment on my special day i ordered 150 mini cakes an got 42 this is Not a GOOD bakery!!!!
