We had the pleasure of having Matt Dominguez, Founder & CEO of Match Sticks - Custom Cigar Experience, oversee the personalized cigar station at our wedding, and we cannot speak highly enough of his exceptional service and the unforgettable experience he provided.
From the moment we first connected with Matt, he demonstrated unparalleled responsiveness, friendliness, and genuine interest in making our wedding day memorable. A full year before our big day, Matt went above and beyond by traveling to our family home to personally sample cigars with us. This not only allowed us to discuss the perfect blends but also gave Matt invaluable insight into our personalities and vision for the event.
On our wedding day, Matt's professionalism and warmth shone through. He managed the cigar station with efficiency and a welcoming demeanor. Match Sticks Cigars was an absolute hit at our wedding. The owner Matt took the time to cater to each one of our guests that wanted a cigar, and helped others to have their first cigar experience. He was so knowledgeable and upfront with each guest. What an incredible business Matt has made for himself and I can’t recommend him to enough people. If you know you enjoy a cigar at a wedding, a golf tournament, etc., this is a MUST HAVE!! -

Matt was absolutely amazing to work with at Match Sticks! We booked him less than two months before our wedding, and he was incredibly accommodating and professional throughout the entire process. We’re so grateful we were able to secure him. The cigar bar ended up being a huge hit with our guests.
Before the wedding, we met with Matt for about an hour, and he was so thoughtful in the questions he asked, taking the time to really get to know our story. On the big day, he surprised us with a curated selection of cigars that each had a special connection to me and my husband. He explained the significance of each one to us and our guests, which made the experience even more meaningful.
We can’t recommend Match Sticks enough for any wedding or special event. It was such a unique and memorable touch that our guests are still talking about! -

Matt’s knowledge and passion for cigars truly stood out. He took the time to explain each type of cigar, answer questions, and offer personalized recommendations, all while being incredibly friendly and engaging. Our guests can’t stop talking about how unique and memorable the experience was.
I truly appreciated the time and effort Matt put into getting to know myself and my husband prior to the wedding. He used many details of our life together to create a personalized experience all while helping me keep this as a surprise for my husband. Matt is exceptional at his craft! Match Sticks was unbelievable at our wedding on June 26, 2025. From start to finish, they brought such a unique and elevated energy to our big day. Having Matt there made all the difference—his expertise, hospitality, and attention to detail were unmatched. You could tell he genuinely loves what he does, and our guests were drawn to that.
People are still talking about how incredible the cigar experience was. Whether guests were seasoned cigar fans or first-timers, Matt made everyone feel welcome and taken care of. The setup was classy, seamless, and added a whole new level of vibe to the night.
If you’re thinking about adding something special to your event—this is it. Match Sticks was hands-down one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. Can’t recommend them enough!

Matt was so professional prior to our wedding day he would set time aside for us to go over things about the Groom, what kind of cigars he enjoys. Matt also did custom bands for the cigars which were beautiful. My husband is still talking about it and how so many of our guest enjoyed it and made new memories. I worked with Matt to surprise my husband on our wedding day. From the very beginning Matt was very responsive and flexible. He was also very personable and knowledgeable. I would recommend Matt to anyone who is looking to have cigar at their wedding or event. It’s not just a cigar table it’s a whole experience. He has so much knowledge about cigars and helps guests choose the cigar they would like best. Everyone raved about him. The custom bands he created even referenced my husband’s job and he matched our colors to go along with the theme of the wedding. He did not miss a single detail. You can even rent heaters from him in the colder months which we did. Would highly recommended. Cannot say enough good things about the experience Matt added to our wedding.

Matt was fantastic to work with for our October 19 wedding. He got to know me and my husband during the planning process. He even took the time to research my husband’s home country, Albania. Through his research, he learned Albania has a big coffee culture and found cigars with coffee notes. Matt and his services were a huge hit at the wedding and super memorable for our guests. Amazing Experience!
We used Match Sticks for our wedding in July and I cannot say enough good things. Matt is so welcoming and very easy to communicate with. He took the time to have a video call with my husband and I and got exactly what we wanted for our cigars. He even found a very specific cigar for my husband that was very special to him while also staying in our budget. Jordan was our tobacconist at our wedding and he was super friendly and knowledgeable and our guests loved him! A wonderful addition
Match Sticks was the perfect "cherry on top" for our wedding day. So many of our guests were thrilled at the gesture of us having a cigar bar. But more importantly, they were utterly impressed by the set up, the wealth of knowledge, and the genuine conversations that Matt had with each individual guest - getting to know them on a personal level and pairing them with their perfect cigar. I could not recommend this company more. My husband and I are not cigar smokers, but Matt coached us through and we were able to sit down and enjoy a few minutes of relaxation with our guests. Matt with Match Sticks was amazing!! This brought a whole new level of *class* to our wedding. Our guests loved it and loved him! He was super professional, personable and knowledgeable. He made us custom cigar bands with a hint towards our love of golf and my husband's years in the Navy. What an amazing experience!!
Match sticks was even better than what we expected it to be. If you’re looking for something different on your wedding day that your guests will enjoy, this is the answer! We had a line of people outside by the cigar bar! People loved the vibe, and being able to try new things while mingling with other guests. Matt is spectacular, from the beginning all the way to the end. He really tries to understand you and your fiancé as a couple and even went out of his way to get special cigars and made my fiancé a surprise custom humidor!! He is very professional and has a great personality. Our guests loved him almost as much as we did. He also knows his cigars VERY well and will even teach you about the history! Match Sticks exceeded all expectations!!! Was connected to this vendor at a wedding expo and was super impressed. Thought this would make a fantastic surprise for my husband on our wedding day and it surely did. Working hand-in-hand with Matt, he really gets to know you so he can select the best options for cigars, gifts, guidance on volume for guests, and all the little details. Not only was this one of my husband's favorite aspects of the wedding but our guests went wild for it as well!!! The area was hopping all night, didn't distract from a packed dance floor, and it made for such a fun and dynamic atmosphere. We had an excellent end-to-end experience with Matt at Match Sticks in celebration of my in-laws' 50th wedding anniversary party at Aldrich Mansion in Warwick, RI. We had a thorough call at the beginning of booking so that he could get to know me/the family/the ultimate the nature of the party so he could better merchandise the cigar-buy for the event. He provided an array of cigars from super mild for the inexperienced, all the way to the "serious business" heady cigars for those who know what they're doing. He was available to coach anyone interested on selection, proper lighting, etc. should they need help. With Matt, even a curious non-cigar-smoker would enjoy learning about this art form. Each cigar choice he bought was a nod to something pertaining to the event, like champagne (it was NYE), anniversary (50th), Brazil (important to my family, lots of Brazilians in attendance), etc. He even made custom bands for the cigars, and then took care to mail leftover cigars to us after the event to enjoy at a later date. He brought his awesome wife to assist, and their enthusiasm for what they do was clear. I cannot recommend Matt enough, such an incredible touch for a special celebration.Match Sticks - Custom Cigar Experience's reply:

Match Sticks was the best idea I had for my wedding! My guest were so shocked to see a cigar station set up on the deck at my venue! Everyone at the wedding kept talking about what a great experience it was talking with Matt. He took the time to get to know everyone at the wedding and explained which cigar he thought they would enjoy most! 10/10 I would highly recommend!Match Sticks - Custom Cigar Experience's reply:
