Corey was fantastic when we were planning our wedding. He was lightning fast to respond and extremely easy to communicate with, especially considering how hard it can be to communicate with some people via email.
The process for signing the contract and sending the deposit was super easy, also! I had no concerns about him as we moved closer to our wedding.
One month before our wedding, however, he did invoice us for the balance of our payment, despite the contract stipulating it was not due until after the wedding performance. However, we agreed to pay it because we did not have any reservations about his professionalism at that time.
The package we booked with Corey included a photo booth. When I emailed him for some clarifications regarding the photo booth, he informed me that there were some potential complications, but that he would let me know if it would not be available for our wedding. I never heard anything else about it and assumed that it would be there.
When I showed up to our reception, there was no photo booth. Corey's wife was with him and she came to the head table to ask us a question regarding the order of events. I asked her where the photo booth was and she said it was not there and asked if Corey had called me about it--he had not. This was not discussed with me until about 2 hours later when I approached the DJ booth for a request. I was told that we were provided with extra lighting and lasers to replace the photo booth. This was not what was discussed, not what I wanted at my wedding.
When I emailed Corey after the wedding to discuss the matter, he did not respond.
This is not the kind of professionalism that I found him to have had at the beginning of the working relationship
All in all, our wedding music was excellent and the uplighting, which we did contract for, was great. He was very outgoing on the mic, and his music selections kept the guests on the dance floor. Everything was very successful. However, we did not have the agreed-upon photo booth which we paid for, and we were not informed that it was not to be there. Additionally, when we attempted to question the matter, we did not receive a response. -

I created a review on here almost 2 years ago after DJ Mastaflex aka Corey McMasters ghosted us two days before our wedding, after he was paid in full. I have not received the money back.
Somehow, he successfully got my very truthful review removed. Please Google and search for DJ Mastaflex on Facebook. This was not his first time. You can also search his name on PA eDocket and reference the judgement I was awarded for him not paying me back. Do not hire!!! -

Corey was under contract to work at our wedding for months. Two days before the wedding, I realized I hadn't heard from him recently after trying to reach out multiple times. His phone number was turned off and went straight to voicemail. Through the grapevine (another vendor), I was informed he was canceling. I was left to find a dj two days before my event, after my wedding weekend had already started! Corey is also not refunding me. Do your research before you hire him - he has told me that "unfortunately he has canceled a lot of weddings".
