Gorgeous Florals and Wonderful Support!

Mary-Ruth created stunning florals for my daughter's wedding. She was incredibly sweet, kind and supportive during the entire planning process. Rain was expected on the wedding day, and Mary-Ruth was so supportive during a very stressful week, and incredibly flexible with last-minute changes when the planned outdoor ceremony moved indoors. She transformed the space into a beautiful area which made any disappointment about the inability to have the ceremony outdoors fade away. Even many men at the wedding commented on how beautiful the flowers were - and that's rare! I would highly recommend Mary-Ruth to any bride, or to anyone who needs beautiful flowers for a special event.

An Amazing Florist!

Mary-Ruth Chapin is an amazing florist whose experience truly made her the perfect fit for our wedding. Mary-Ruth was always personable and friendly from our first conversation; she took an interest in getting to know my preferences and sought to create floral arrangements that would enhance my dress and color scheme. I don’t know much about flowers, so Mary-Ruth took the time to show me my options and find out what kinds I’d like, and I’m thrilled with what she put together. My bridal bouquet was stunning, as were the table arrangements, bridesmaids’ bouquets, boutonnières—all of it! She worked with our budget to ensure our florals met our preferences without going overboard, and everyone was so pleased with the results. Best Decision Ever!

It was the reviews on Wedding Wire that led me to Mary-Ruth and everything I read about Mary-Ruth was spot on. In addition to being a lovely person, she has a special talent to capture what you want, even if you don't know what you want! Mary-Ruth was able to please both my daughter, the bride, and me which is miraculous AND we were able to stay within budget. She is a gem and so easy to communicate with. Amazing flowers

Mary-Ruth was amazing. She was so responsive and adapting of everything I asked for. The flowers she picked were absolutely gorgeous. Really lit up the banquet hall! They also smelled amazing. She is very responsive and easy to work with. I would absolutely recommend using Mary-Ruth!

Beautiful flowers for my wedding

We found Mary-Ruth on Wedding Wire and once we connected we knew she was our gal! She took the time to get to know us and was so easy to work with. She delivered the flowers to us on site and they were really beautiful. I was nervous because it's the one thing you can't trial before the wedding, but Mary-Ruth really knocked it out of the park. She made our dreams a reality!

Professional and Flexible Florist

Mary-Ruth went beyond the "call-of-duty". Mary-Ruth is kind, patient and understanding. Mary-Ruth listened and created a perfect bouquet for my daughter's wedding. The bridesmaid arrangements could not have been better. Mary-Ruth explained which flowers would work best for our look. Mary-Ruth responded promptly (I can't say the same for myself or other vendors that I used). Mary-Ruth pays attention to details and alleviated stress by coordinating flowers for the cake. Mary-Ruth contacted the vendor and I luckily did not have to get involved. Mary-Ruth respected my budget and stuck with it! I can't wait to share photos with her. This vendor deserved more than 5 gold stars.

Beautiful Wedding

Mary Ruth offers many suggestions on how to make your wedding special. We had a few of last minute additions to our list and she made it happen beyond our expectations. She's very personable and wants to get to know you and your ideas and offers many suggestions. I felt her prices were very fair and had no need to shop elsewhere. My daughter said everything was "Perfect" and "better than expected"! That's all I ever wanted to hear

Mary-Ruth did an incredible job for our wedding and exceeded all of our expectations. When we initially met, she already felt like family. She was extremely maternal and such a sweetheart, and I knew immediately that I wanted to work with her. Not to mention, she is extremely knowledgeable and talented when it comes to flowers and decor. She was very easy to communicate with throughout the entire planning process and she was able to accommodate all of my requests with no questions asked. I was definitely not a bridezilla, I was actually the opposite and knew nothing about what I wanted, but I feel like she read my mind because when the wedding day came, I could not have dreamt of a more beautiful collection of flowers. Everyone was asking if they could take the centerpieces home because they were gorgeous, the arch she put together for us was Pinterest-worthy, and bouquets and boutonnieres were everything I could have ever wanted. Somehow, I got amazing service and products with her all at such an affordable price as well - she is extremely competitive pricing-wise in the area. I could talk about how amazing she is in many more words, but I think I'll stop with this - on the days approaching my wedding she sent me messages of comfort and on the day of, she really did feel like another Mother looking out for me. I give her my highest recommendation!

Mary-Ruth is amazing! We hired her to do our flowers as well as be our Day of Coordinator and she was worth every penny! She created stunning floral arrangements that all the guests were raving over. She also helped keep us calm and organized throughout the day without my mother or bridesmaids having to worry. She is kind and experienced and helped the day go so smoothly. Couldn't be more thrilled with her work!

I can’t say enough about Mary-Ruth. I had found Mary-Ruth at the Bridal Expo at the convention center. She was very welcoming and super heartwarming. When I planned to meet with her she had everything ready to go and gave me so many ideas! When she brought my flowers to our venue I almost burst into tears and how beautiful they were. I cannot say enough about how wonderful Mrs. Mary-Ruth is! She made every dream and more I had for my wedding flowers and decor come true!!
She sat down with my mom and I - we didn't have much time left before the wedding - but she took her time going through everything I wanted to make it all come to life ... from flowers, bouquets, centerpieces, the ceremony backdrop, lots of reception decor with florals and lighting, a beautiful cake display - she did it all and when I say she made magic happen - boy did she! She made our day extra special and the whole event came together so beautifully and perfectly with her expertise! She even added on a gorgeous aisle for of petals, a last minute request, that took my breath away!
I was so happy and pleased with how every little detail turned out. And i know it is solely because of the time and effort Mrs. Mary-Ruth put into her work. You can tell she genuinely has a passion for what she does and truly cares to make your vision of your day come to life just the way you want it!
Working with her was a pleasure. She had so many great suggestions as I was explaining my idea of the flowers and decor - and she knew the perfect flower to go, the perfect placement of decor elements I wanted - when I saw everything that day - I was in awe!
I could not have been happier to have Mrs. Mary-Ruth do my flowers and decor - it turned out better than I could have ever imagined :)

There is no question in my mind, or anyone at our wedding, that the flowers Mary-Ruth made for us were a highlight of the day. I couldn't believe how stunning and perfect each piece was, and how it perfectly embodied exactly what I had imagined. Our wild flower bouquets and crowns were seriously out of a dream!! The centerpieces were a perfect fall edition to our October wedding. I still can't stop gushing over the colors. I couldn't recommend her more.

Not only were her flowers stunning, but her flexible and professional nature made things so easy. She was always willing to chat and had no trouble with my second guesses I wanted to change. She delivered and set everything up the day of, I seriously think my jaw dropped when I turned down the aisle with my dad and I saw what she had put together on our arbor. She worked around our desires and ideas and she was worth EVERY penny! Which by the way was an incredible price! My day would not have been as perfect without her, seriously. Thank you Mary-Ruth for everything!!

Mary Ruth went above and beyond for our wedding. She not only ordered the flowers and arranged all the bouquets, but she also did our table seating and table decor just to make sure the day would go easier. We couldn't appreciate it enough. The flowers were gorgeous, and stayed beautiful for a full week after our wedding. She also made it easier to pick the flowers we were going to use, just by throwing in ideas to help achieve the look I wanted. We really couldn't be more pleased with how she lined everything up with and for us.

Mary-Ruth Chapin was absolutely the most wonderful florist I could have imagined! It is clear she loves what she does and knows exactly what she’s doing. When I began looking at florists, I thought I might need to “do it myself,” but Mary-Ruth worked within my more modest budget to create beautiful table arrangements, bouquets, boutonnieres, a flower crown for the flower girl, and other gorgeous floral accents. Mary-Ruth was very prompt with communication and spent time going through everything in detail with me during our in-person meeting. She took care of setting up of everything, arriving early to deliver the flowers and staying late into the evening to ensure everything was perfect.
Mary-Ruth went above and beyond in so many ways, (that I don’t want to describe in detail lest she have to do it for everyone else!), but suffice to say, if you work with Mary-Ruth, you’ll be working with someone who takes pride in what she does, won’t try to upsell you on unnecessary extras (unless you want them!), and will allow you to rest easy that your florals will be absolutely gorgeous on your big day.

Where do I begin?! I was a very detailed-oriented, creative bride. I had so many ideas and needed help bringing them to life. That is just what Mary-Ruth did for me! She took all of my ideas for my Secret Garden inspired wedding and brought them to life for me. I do not know what I would have done without her. She created my beautiful bouquets (myself + bridesmaids + mothers of the bride and groom + flower girl + grandmother), boutonnieres, ceremony aisle, escort card moss key display, garland, bird cage and birch vase centerpieces, and my cake table!! Everything came together perfectly on my day and there was nothing for me to worry about. Also, I wanted hanging amaranthus for my bridal bouquet, but unfortunately her vendor could not supplythem because of the heat temperatures; nevertheless, Mary-Ruth, on the day of my wedding, SURPISED me with the hanging amaranthus on my bouquet!! I do not know how she found them, but she did and completely made my day! She is one of the sweetest women I have ever met, truly passionate about her floral designs, and such a pleasure to be around. Thank you so much for making all of my ideas come true Mary-Ruth! I hope to have cause to request you once again in the future!

I could not recommend Mary-Ruth more!!! Not only is she an amazing florist, she was so unbelievably wonderful to work with! I am a very detailed oriented person and Mary-Ruth did not miss a beat. At each meeting, I could tell how much she enjoys what she does, which translated into wonderful floral advice and an amazing final product the day of the wedding. I got to our venue and she was already there (on schedule the entirety of our wedding) and she completely wow'd me with our flowers. I also was so impressed with her devotion; she stayed our whole wedding and was even willing to help out when I didn't have anyone else to open the doors for our "grand exit" down the main stairs of our venue. There wasn't a moment in the entire process that she was a vendor I worried about and I would recommend her to any of my friends and family. Also, having visited other florists, her pricing was extremely reasonable and the way she conducted business was very professional throughout the entire process. I wish there were another event I needed flowers for and if there ever is, I will be contacting Mary-Ruth again <3

Mary-Ruth truly produced the most beautiful flowers for our wedding.
I had an idea for the 'look' i wanted - mixed pastel colors reminiscent of an English garden and she made it happen whilst sticking to a modest budget. I received so many compliments on the day for the flowers - I would not hesitate to recommend Mary-Ruth!

Our daughter got married in Baltimore this past July and Mary Ruth Chapin provided the flowers/candles for both the ceremony and the reception. Mary Ruth is one of the kindest people you will ever meet. Her enthusiasm for what she does is unparalleled. Mary Ruth met with us at least 4 times before the wedding to discuss making our daughter's vision into a reality. Mary-Ruth has a fantastic eye for flower arrangement and is a great listener. She will spend a lot of time going over ideas to make sure she really captures what you want. I knew that I wanted summer colors and flowers with a variety of texture. Mary-Ruth took my vague descriptions and created the most beautiful arrangements, bouquets, and huppah design, giving my outdoor/garden wedding a truly magical feel. Her prices are very reasonable and she is sweet and calm -- a reassuring presence on your wedding day.

I would give 1 million stars if I could! Ms. Mary Ruth was recommended to me by my cousin (whose wedding she had done), and I wish I hadn't wasted time e-mailing a bunch of other flower vendors, when I should have just went with her from the beginning!
For starters, I only had one special request to my florist in that my husband and I really wanted replicas of our pet bearded dragons (weird, I know!). We were having a traditional Catholic Mass, so I knew that I could not bring the actual animals in the church. I had e-mailed tons of flower vendors, and literally all but two (one was Ms. Mary Ruth!) simply ignored this request! I understand it was likely because they did not understand, but I felt a little hurt every time I didn't see a mention of something so personal to us. I had no idea what material they would be made of, because I am not creative, so I was really hoping for the florist to just come up with something cool. When I told our church that we would be having the bearded dragon replicas, the woman looked pretty nervous. Then literally after I said that Ms. Mary Ruth was our vendor, she was immediately relieved, because she knew her so well from doing other weddings.
Ontop of that, I was a stressed out bride, working long hours in NYC while planning a wedding in Baltimore, so I unfortunately procrastinated too much at times. Ms. Mary Ruth immediately sent me an itemized receipt for what she could do within the budget that I had. She was very patient and never was annoyed with me. I wanted to incorporate some personal items (like lockets with photos of my deceased mother and great-grandmother) and she happily accepted them a few days prior to my wedding. I sent her some photos of what I had in mind for the bouquets and she did EXACTLY what I hoped for; everyone loved them.
I can't tell you how nice it was to see her joyful, calming presence on my wedding day too. Just contact Ms. Mary Ruth and she will take care of everything!

Mary-Ruth Chapin made my dreams come true!! I started my search for a florist with the specific mission to use my favorite flower - Peonies. I was working with a specific budget and started to feel like I would have to change my flower choice. I contacted Mary-Ruth just hoping she could help me get a FEW peonies incorporated into my day. She went above and beyond.

On my wedding day, I had a full bouquet of peonies and my bridesmaids did as well. She matched my color scheme perfectly. My centerpieces we AMAZING! Everything looked and smelled wonderful.

Mary-Ruth did not treat me like "just another client". She waited for me to arrive at the venue and welcomed my entire family with hugs. She was a true joy and blessing to work with.

I need at least 10 stars to accurately review Mary Ruth Chapin. I emailed Mary Ruth about one month before my wedding when my plan for floral arrangements fell through. She was out of town, but called me right away. I explained why I was reaching out to her so soon before the wedding, and she didn't blink an eye. I immediately felt comfortable with her and knew I had to work with her. I sent Mary Ruth pictures of exactly what we were looking for and she nailed it! I am very picky and wanted a very specific look for the day. I don't think Mary Ruth's interpretation could have gotten any closer. On the day of the wedding, she delivered the bridal and bridesmaids' bouquets to me and my bridesmaids and we were all amazed by her incredible work. I was blown away again when I saw the ceremony arrangements and the centerpieces. Our guests commented all night and are still commenting on how beautiful the flowers were. Mary Ruth's flowers captured the elegance we were looking for. My Mom said, "She really got you." I could not have agreed more. Simply put, Mary Ruth Chapin is the best!

Mary Ruth met every criteria I looked for in a wedding florist. She was helpful, knowledgeable, and responsive. Her in-depth knowledge of flowers and their availability helped guide me towards beautiful and economical flowers that were in season. She knew I really wanted gray berries in my bouquets, but also that they would be difficult to secure in July. Mary Ruth worked tirelessly to get those, as well as peonies, and surprised me with both in my bouquets and table centerpieces. She is thoughtful and imaginative. I am so thankful I used her. She's simply the best florist out there!

I cannot write enough amazing things about Mary Ruth. As a florist, her work is amazing. She listens to you and works within your budget to create beautiful arrangements and bouquets to create the wedding of your dreams. When I picked several flowers that were out of season she showed me other flowers that would give me the look I was after.

Mary Ruth was easy to get intouch with, quick to respond to emails and phone calls and is a true professional. But she is more than just a florist; Mary Ruth understands how important each wedding day is for her brides and was my unofficial day of wedding coordinator. She brought a calmness to the chaos that happens right around the time the flowers are dropped off. You will not be disappointed if you chose her as your florist!

Mary-Ruth did an amazing job for my wedding! I had difficulty picking and describing the flowers I wanted for my day, but somehow she got it perfect! She was so helpful about everything- flowers, cake, linens, etc. Contacting her was easy and I felt like I was talking to a family member not a vendor. She works with your budget and only does what you are comfortable with.
Also, I'm African-American and my husband is Nigerian, so we had A LOT of international guests which led to some number and logistic issues. Mary-Ruth was very understanding and flexible in working with us to resolve those issues.
I am truly grateful that she was apart of my day and I'm going to miss working with her! Even before the wedding I started recommending her to people!

I am the mother of the groom and I paid for all the flowers for the wedding. I want to help every bride, mothers or even those planning a special event some time. I researched every flower vendor on wedding wire. I chose Mary-Ruth Chapin to do the flowers for my son's wedding. When you meet her you can't help feeling like she's part of the family. She's warm, sweet, kind and has a wonderful eye for what flowers the bride wants. She answered every call, every question and even made our last minute changes. She is wonderful in helping to get the bride's vision of what flowers and colors she wanted. If you're not sure what you want, no worries Mary-Ruth has suggestions that are beautiful. On the day of the wedding Mary-Ruth was prompt. If she had a problem with the placing of the flowers that you wanted because of the venue, she will check with you before she makes any changes. She did not disappoint. The flowers were absolutely stunning. She provided the flowers for the ceremony, the reception, the groom, groomsmen, the bride and her attendants and the family. When I walked downstairs and saw the flowers for the reception they took my breath away. The entry way flowers were stunning. The bride was thrilled with her bouquet. The ceremony flowers were absolutely beautiful. Mary-Ruth has a way of taking the brides vision and making it come alive. I can't say enough about Mary-Ruth. Her eye for color is astounding! You can't go wrong with Mary-Ruth. As far as I'm concerned, SHE IS THE BEST IN THE BUISNESS. Mary-Ruth from the bottom of my heart you are truly astounding. Thank you for everything! And on top of that, she is absolutely lovely to work with - she was extremely easy to communicate with, and very open to my ideas. It was more than a pleasure to work with Mary-Ruth! I've seldom met an individual gifted in so MANY ways.

I'd seen Mary-Ruth's work for years prior to my own wedding. She has an incredible knack not only for flower arrangement but for repurposing arrangements! In the blink of an eye, those decorations that graced the church pews can reappear as decorations at the reception site. For years I'd known who I would want my florist to be.

My own experience with her was phenomenal. My husband and I were on a tight budget for the wedding, but we still wanted to host 90 people. We weren't able to hire a full-time wedding planner and could only afford Mary-Ruth as our florist - EVEN SO, she sat down with my mom and me and helped us outline a vision. She was always available with a recommendation or piece of advice when I needed it (like at 9:30 at night, a month before the wedding when we needed to pick a DJ fast!)

When I told Mary-Ruth our budget, she took it seriously and helped me to stick to it. Where other vendors might encourage you to look at out-of-season flowers or say yes, those boutonnieres could be arranged for just a few dollars more apiece, Mary-Ruth kept my vision from overwhelming my budget and offered affordable substitutes, (in some cases, absolute look-alikes!)

At our initial meeting at her house she provided thick binders full of photos of previous arrangements, as well as REAL SAMPLES, to show me how different leaves and blooms might be combined, and to show me in person a comparison of affordable and expensive flowers. She made the most incredible bouquet for tossing (I won't reveal the secret element here) and even made gorgeous, thick, ruby red garlands for the Hindu portion of our ceremony. All of her flowers lasted for WEEKS!

Working with Mary-Ruth was less like working with a vendor and more like working with a mom. I've never felt such trust and confidence in a vendor! I'd recommend her above all others - truly she is a marvel!

Mary-Ruth was truly a God-send in bringing our wedding vision to life. We hired her for both wedding planning and florist services. She had come recommended by a close friend who had experience in event planning.

As our Wedding Planner:
My husband and I had a non-traditional reception in our favorite bar. Mary-Ruth met with us months before our big day at the venue and brainstormed with us on ways to put personal, classy, festive touches on our reception. She came up with amazing ideas, and transformed the space into our vision.

Mary-Ruth is also extremely well connected to other vendors in the area--and through her, we were able to secure other vendors who had solid reputations and were within our price range.

Most importantly, Mary-Ruth is a down to earth, real person that wants to make her clients' wedding visions come true. She was extremely supportive through the biggest hurdles of wedding planning, and took personal initiative to make sure that our concerns were constantly met and addressed.

As our Florist:
Her floral designs are the most beautiful I've ever seen, and she will work with you to find designs that are in your price range without going over your budget. We gave Mary-Ruth our color preferences and our favorite flowers, and she turned them into bouquets that were out of this world.

Highly, highly recommend this vendor. Mary-Ruth is more than a florist, and will help you navigate the waters of wedding planning like the pro that she is!

I love Mary Ruth! We are so glad we went with her- much better to go with someone who is personable and not a big company. She really cared about our happiness, the flowers were beautiful, and she was very reasonably priced. She arranged all of our flowers and wanted to be there that day but had another wedding she had booked previously at the same time. I knew Mary Ruth would be great from reading many reviews on here but she far exceeded my expectations when I walked in to the venue on the night of my wedding. She quite literally took my breath away with the gorgeous flowers - the colors were exactly what I wanted - gorgeous and elegant, huge hydrangeas, white roses! It was heavenly. She was more than a florist - a wonderful calming part of my day! I loved the hidden meanings in my gorgeous bouquet like a pair of flowers and the way she tied all of the bouquets together - it was truly perfect. My bouquet was truly a piece of art.

My husband and I were married in April. Mary-Ruth Chapin was our florist and provided everything from our bouquets, centerpieces, cake topper, etc. We put all our trust in her to make my vision a reality. I have dreamed of my wedding since I was a little girl and the flowers were always such a big part of that dream. All I can say is Mary-Ruth FAR EXCEEDED anything I ever could have dreamed. Her vision and talent showed through on our wedding day and I couldn’t stop smiling as I took it all in. Every piece was breathtaking. Since the wedding we use Mary-Ruth’s name in conversation as though we are talking about a family member. Not only did she provide all of our flowers, she followed us around during our cocktail hour holding a tray of hors d’oeuvres for us to eat while we took pictures!! We have many pictures that our photographer took of her and us that we look back on fondly. Her personality is wonderful and she was so easy to get along with. From the moment we meet, I knew she was our florist and I knew we could faithfully put our trust in her to make our floral dreams come true. Mary Ruth Chapin- where do I even begin! The arrangements and bouquets she made were better and more beautiful than I could have ever imagined! Our guests were stunned at how gorgeous everything was. She even set up extra floral details around the venue to add to my theme (cocktail tables, side tables, cake table, all places we did not ask her to decorate!) She went above and beyond to make our wedding perfect. Not only is she a talented artist, but she is an amazing, caring, sweet woman. When planning, she offered practical advice for our ceremony and reception, and had no trouble meeting with us to go over ideas. During the reception, she was there with the bridal party, and later with my husband and I when taking photos, always asking if she could do anything for us. She was running around trying to make everyone comfortable (!!!). She was very much like a part of the family! Her flowers are very affordable, she is very helpful and willing to work within a budget. And she will make the most of your budget too (so many flowers, so much creativity for what you pay). I loved working with Mary-Ruth Chapin and she completely exceeded my expectations! My bouquet was prettier than I imagined and I could not stop looking at it. For our centerpieces, Mary-Ruth did balls of baby's breath and they looked fantastic. All of our guests commented on how pretty and unique they were. I met with a few florists before meeting with Mary-Ruth and when I met her, I just felt like she really loves what she does and that she would do a great job on our flowers. She is extremely talented, easy to work with, flexible and affordable. The day of, she delivered flowers to our hotel with a big smile on her face and she even stayed to teach the boys how to put on their boutonnieres. Mary-Ruth did a superb job in more than just my floral decor. She is cool calm and collected (even in the midst of a downpour on her newly arranged chuppah flowers)- She re-arranged the plan to make everything gorgeous. The fabulous part- I wasn't involved in a speck of the re-grouping- It was my day and she didn't bother me with one iota of stress- she made it all happen and was there to straighten boutonniere's and fluff bows and hair on my attendants before we walked down the aisle. She treated me like her own daughter in her detail and care. I assumed the florist would drop off the flowers and leave, not Mary-Ruth. She stayed and made sure everything was perfect. I love Mary Ruth!!! What an amazing lady with a fantastic eye for color and design and a thorough knowledge of flowers! I met Mary Ruth after she did the flowers for my sister's May 2008 wedding. When I got engaged, one of my first phone calls was to Mary Ruth, because I knew I had to have her as my wedding florist! I'm not super-knowledgeable about flowers, so I had a few suggestions for Mary-Ruth but left most of the creative work up to her. All of the flowers were GORGEOUS! Mary-Ruth is a dream-come-true for brides to be!! She freely offers her advice and kind words of comfort and guidance to help in all areas of the planning. Her years of experience are so evident in the finished product! She knows her flowers and will not use any that are not at their peak of beauty. Up until the event, I relied completely on her and trusted her knowledge/experience....not knowing if it would all be evident in the end. When I walked into the ballroom, I was flabbergasted! The centerpieces were exploding in color and beauty---it was like the garden of Eden. My jaw dropped when I saw how well everything came together! She was right on about everything. We could not have been happier with the bouquets and the centerpieces. They were spectacular and we received many compliments on them. I would not have changed a thing...and I am an extremely picky person. I worried that the flowers would not have enough impact in such a spacious ballroom, but they stole the show. Mary-Ruth was a very creative and flexible florist to work with. While she initially gave me options that were slightly over my budget she did not hesitate to work around my budget to exceed my expectations. She took the initiative to make some last minute changes to the ceremony decor - but they actually looked better than we actually discussed. The calla lilies that were attached to the chairs were fuller and more substantial than I imagined. It was great to have inexpensive options look so elegant and rich. If you are a bride on a budget but do not want that fact reflected in your ceremony, I would highly recommend Mary-Ruth.

I had been to several weddings and loved the flowers. It turned out Mary-Ruth had done the flowers so when my daughter became engaged I was happy she wanted to meet with her. From the very first moment we met, she was there to make sure she understood Emily's vision of her wedding and then guide us thru her experience with visual pictures and drawings of how the ideas would look in reality. Wow! It was beyond our expectations. She is always in touch and there are no surprises with costs as she keeps you informed and lets you make the decision about which way to go while giving many options to obtain what you want. She made an arch for the ceremony that was spectacular and the flower quality and style were incredible. I have never been so happy with anyone I have worked with. She takes great pride in her work and it shows.

I could never put into words how grateful I am to Mary-Ruth for her incredible effort for our wedding. I was first drawn to Mary-Ruth because of her amazing ability to listen to us! So many florists TOLD us what we wanted - Mary Ruth took our dreams and made them a reality. She was flexible, kind, and down-to-earth. From our very first meeting, Mary-Ruth was incredibly helpful and sweet. She educated me a bit on the types of flowers that were in bloom during the month of my wedding. She also informed me which flowers were most fragrant and which ones would hold up better given the arrangement I wanted. Her knowledge of the field really put me at ease. I knew I was in good hands.

She worked with me very considerately with my budget. She helped me choose flowers that were in my price range and counseled me on which areas to splurge and which areas to be more frugle on. She also gave me lots of ideas for centerpieces.

Other florists just didn't compare. They didn't coach me enough through the process. They didn't show me actual pictures of the many types of blooms and leaves available like Mary-Ruth did.

I am so happy that I chose Mary-Ruth. Her arrangements and her incredible eye for beauty really made my wedding even more beautiful.

Mary-ruth helped make my day incredibly special. All my flowers were so incredibly beautiful and they turned out just as I had hoped. I was very specific with what I wanted and mary-ruth certainly delivered. She was easy to work with, very fun and laid back, and also knew sooo much about all the reception sites I was considering for my big day. I really can't recommend her enough!!!

Mary-Ruth Chapin came recommended by our wedding coordinator (who had used her as a florist in her own wedding). She was friendly, pleasant, flexible, and very responsive to our requests and flexible when last-minute changes occurred. Mary-Ruth provided us with beautiful centerpieces, venue arrangements, and personal flowers for the wedding party that matched our color scheme perfectly.

Finally, I must mention that, as a gay male couple, we were somewhat anxious about how our vendors would relate to us, and we therefore selected very carefully who would be helping to make our special day happen. We could not have been happier with Mary-Ruth. She was so accepting and affirming, and truly was a joy to work with. We would recommend her highly to any couple (gay or straight) who is looking for a well-priced and high-quality florist.

To say that Mary was the best is an understatement. Mary made our day the greatest we could possible ever imagine. She was quick, curious and absolutely patient with all the rowdy Nigerians at our wedding. She worked with us from the moment we decided to use her services. Mary has now become family, that is how good she was. Not only were her planning skills phenomenal, but her flowers were fresh, cost effective and just absolutely beautiful. She drove an hour down to our event and was there a day early in order to make sure everything went well. We hope everyone out there at least gives Mary a call to interview for your future events, you will not be disappointed.

Mary-Ruth is not only fabulous as a florist but she is also awesome at calming nervous bride's nerves. Her voice and demeanor is calming and it makes the stress of wedding planning much easier. I was especially stressed because I was planning a wedding in Maryland from North Carolina. We accomplished so much by phone and e-mail and I never felt unsure about how my arrangements were going to turn out. She is very knowledgeable, has great artistic abilities and if you are as indecisive as I was, Mary-Ruth is who you want to work with. After giving her vague descriptions of what I wanted (through phone and e-mail in which she always responded quickly) I finally was able to make the trip to Maryland to meet with her in person. She showed me her ideas based on what I requested and she "hit the nail on the head". Everything was exactly as I wanted and on the big day, the bouquets and arrangements were even more beautiful than I expected. Absolutely perfect! I would without a doubt recommend Mary-Ruth Chapin to any bride or anyone else needing floral arrangements.

Mary Ruth did the flowers for both of my daughter's weddings. both events were in a tent & they were beautiful.Mary Ruth takes such special care & pride in each arrangement & bouquet.She does amazing work!She has so much knowledge of flowers & seasons of Availability that she guides you & advises you as to your most perfect flower selection.I have never worked with a vendor who wanted to please a client as much as Mary Ruth.I could not have been happier.

Mary-Ruth came highly recommended from a friend and did a FABULOUS job with the flowers for my wedding. I had no idea what I wanted and she was able to guide me through the process and give me ideas and options about what was available. She was easy to work with and made one part of the wedding process that much less stressful! The flowers were beautiful, well-priced, and most importantly looked stunning for hours! Mary Ruth was SUCH a joy to work with! She made the flower part of the wedding planning so enjoyable and pain free. She asked such in depth questions of my fiancee and I to get a feel for what we wanted for our special day. She asked about our flower preferences. I had NO clue what our flower arrangements and bouquets would look like come the day but trusted her whole heartedly. I was SOO overwhelmed. It was beyond our wildest dreams. Her work was SOO beautiful I ended getting my bouquet preserved. It was TOO beautiful to not wanna keep forever in some way shape or form. Mary Ruth was easy to get in touch with, easily accessible in every way. Finally, on the day she was a god send! She was SOO helpful. Mary-Ruth was so wonderful helping to make our wedding so beautiful. Her floral arrangements were breathtaking. She was very accomidating to our needs. I had a vision of what I wanted our centerpieces to look like and she made it happen.....Mary-Ruth had to purchase special vases and she didn't even hesitate when I described what I wanted. The price was worth every penny. She is very personable especially since she works from her home. You don't have to worry about a number of different people working on your flowers when you use her. She has a lot of attention to detail and added something special to my bouquet that has a lot of meaning. My mom continues to talk about her to this day to people that she knows that are getting ready to plan weddings.

Mary-Ruth Chapin did my flowers for my wedding back in August and I LOVED them!! They turned out beautifully and were everything I wanted and MORE! The centerpieces were perfect and the bouquets were stunning. Besides looking great in person, they photographed beautifully as well.

In addition to the flowers turning out so great, Mary-Ruth worked within my budget. I gave her a number and she made it happen! Her vast knowledge about flowers and willingness to work as a team made this part of the wedding process fun and EASY. I would use her again for ANY event.

Mary Ruth provided last minute flowers for our Welcome Home Celebration. We called her less than five weeks in advance, but because we were not using bouquets, and instead wanted only boutonnieres and hair pieces for the ladies and bride, she was able to work with us.

Our style was unconventional-- dark and even a little wacky--- she nailed it! We had gorgeous black calla lilies for the grooms and white calla lilies for the ladies, all in healthy bloom and vibrant in color. We asked for feathers, and she paired our flowers with two kinds of animal feathers, an ostrich feather, and something else a little more flimsy. Perfect! The mothers had one black and one white calla lilly each, tied with striped black and white ribbon-- sort of like an elegant BeatleJuice--- exactly what we were hoping for!

Most importantly, Mary Ruth was willing to work with us over the Internet, as our last minute proposal made it difficult to find a time for us to meet, and it still worked out fabulously!

Mary-Ruth is a true find! She is honest, professional and very nice to work with...She was particularly clever with my bouquets, as I wanted silk peonies incorporated into my flowers. They were unavailable (or extremely expensive) for my september wedding, and it broke my heart. I spoke with her about using silk peonies along with a number of real flowers. She did and amazing job...not only did she put together great bouquets for my bridal party, but she helped redo arrangements from the night before for the tables...(these weren't even her flowers!) She went above and beyond to make my wedding perfect. She is a true artist who really goes out of her way to make your wedding as beautiful as it can be....A+ highly recommended!!!

Since our ceremony was planned to be outdoors we kept the ceremony flowers very minimal. We ended up moving indoors but our venue still made everything look beautiful. The centerpieces I made with mason jars and then had Mary-Ruth fill with the flowers. The bouquets, corsages, and boutinners were beautiful. Mary-Ruth was very responsive and easy to work with.

I came to Mary-Ruth with this crazy idea of putting flowers in pumpkins and she took it and ran. DH was so scared it would look tacky but with the fake pumpkins we used to hold the flowers everything looked tasteful and elegant, even better than I had imagined them being. She went above and beyond what I expected and helped pull together my vision of a elegant fall wedding that embraced the rustic tones of the Evergreen Carriage House.

Mary-Ruth provided our bouquets, boutonnieres, and crowns of flowers for the flower girls. She spent a considerable amount of time with us, in our in-person visit with her, discussing ideas and brainstorming (we didn't have a clear plan for much at that point). When it turned out my dress had a color that wouldn't go well with what we had originally discussed, she had no problem coming up with an alternative. She also recommended a cake vendor who she knew personally, who turned out to be phenomenal. All-in-all, an excellent choice, and I would definitely recommend her services.

I was referred to Mary-Ruth by a friend who had used her. Her prices certainly beat those of big florist shops as Mary-Ruth works out of her home. She even gave us a few items for free, like the boutonnieres for the junior groomsmen and bouquets for the mothers. She is professional and very sweet - she cares deeply about her brides and it shows.

I enjoyed working with Mary Ruth
She has a great vision and the reception looked amazing. I wasn’t as happy with some of the bouquets in particular the mother of the bride. Some of the flowers were a little dull and not as freshly picked as i would have hoped
But the arrangements were beautiful
