Couldn't have asked for a better experience.
Marty is a must hire! His communication is great, he helped us picked songs and if we wanted the song edited in any way, he sent us exactly what we wanted. We also asked him to play our ceremony and is a fantastic musician. He learned our processional and recessional requests and played them flawlessly. Marty was a hit with all our guests as well, no one wanted the party to stop. He will not disappoint! -

We saw Marty playing at a brewery in Golden, CO and we knew we wanted him to perform at our wedding! He is an incredibly talented musician and performer and will keep your guested entertained and dancing all night! We truly enjoyed getting to know him during our wedding planning process. Communication was easy, and my husband even took guitar lessons with him and surprised our family and friends by performing a song at the reception. It was one of our best wedding decisions so look no further and hire him and the saxophonist for your wedding! -

Marty was an AMAZING dj and emcee for our wedding! Hiring him was one of the best decisions we made while planning our wedding. He made the entire process extremely easy, listened to us and provided excellent suggestions based on what he knew would work best, and had our dancefloor hopping at several points throughout the night. His 90's mashup was a major highlight of our whole night.
I genuinely can't thank him enough, he made us feel so special and he did everything he could to make our wedding the party we wanted. -

Marty is my go-to vendor for any music needs. He played my wedding and he did such a fantastic job that I convinced my company to hire him for our corporate holiday party. He did such a great job acting as the entertainment as well as emcee for the night. We did a team trivia and a raffle and Marty did an excellent job emceeing those events and made them more fun for everyone. His musical performance was amazing! You can't go wrong with Marty! -

Marty rocks!!!
Prior to hiring Marty as our wedding entertainment, we had seen him perform several times around local Colorado venues and he always impressed! We also elected to use the duo lineup option with him and the saxophonist (highly recommended). What a great experience! Marty was so professional and easy to work with throughout the whole process. His music, entertainment, and emcee skills were beyond expectations and we had such a fun time! -

Prior to the wedding I was in communication with Marty pretty frequently, he definitely understands what needs to be done at a wedding and goes above and beyond with attention to detail. Not only that but Marty and Drew were the dream team the day of the wedding! 10/10 fun, great energy, can read the crowd well, and allowed me to do some really bad karaoke. Thanks so much for making our night so memorable and fun. You were amazing. Hire these guys ASAP! -

My experience with Marty Nightengale was so amazing! I am a wedding planner, so I work alongside many DJ's and bands, His talent is far beyond anyone I've worked with! He is super energetic while also making the crowd feel welcomed and included. He gets people dancing and definitely reads the room to keep the good vibes going. As a DJ, he was organized and flexible with changes that needed to be made to the timeline unexpectedly. He was very prompt in responding, which is very rare! Many DJ's are not memorable, but Marty definitely was! I would 100% recommend him to all of my couples!!! -

Better than i could have ever imagined!
I don't think this form will let me write all the praise that Marty deserves for our wedding! If you are at all on the fence, jump off right now and hire Marty IMMEDIATELY. Music was such a big deal to us for our wedding, and Marty made the planning and execution better than I could have EVER imagined or possibly hoped. He absolutely went above and beyond. Every. Single. One. of our guests said how amazing he was, and I still have friends and family talking about it, months later.
Not only is he an EXCELLENT musician (his voice is AMAZING, guitar impeccable) but he has that "x" factor and knows how to throw a FANTASTIC party. He has the perfect mix of following the specifics of what we wanted (like the "do not play list" and keeping to our type/genre of music) but also, with his experience, we wanted him to use his judgement and to play to the crowd and MAN, did he deliver! Everyone was dancing and having fun ALL NIGHT.
He also has the perfect amount of professionalism, flexibility, and guidance for those of us that need help putting all the random pieces together to make a wedding run smoothly. Prior to the actual day, he did a great job of following up, walking us through his questionnaire to help us figure things out, and was extra responsive and detailed. He really guided us with timing and flow, and had great suggestions for when we were stumped. I never felt worried about a thing, from first contact, up through the end of the reception.
We had Marty run our ceremony and reception - basically everything that had anything to do with sound. Honestly, I don't know how he did it. He did the ceremony space - playing acoustic guitar, our specific recorded songs, and all the mics... the music, vows, officiant, toasts, etc. all sounded perfect. He also did all the reception; he MC'd, played guitar, learned and played our first dance song live, sang all sorts of other songs, DJ'd, and coordinated everything so well - again, I do NOT know how he made it all work so well with all those hats he wore.
We hired his saxophone player too, and the two of them together was phenomenal. Hard to believe it was just the two of them, because they sounded more like a full band -- and added just another layer of cool to the night. We also brought in a musician from our hometown, and Marty was able to get us his rental piano, set him up, and worked so well with him that they actually all played together songs throughout the night that were BEYOND perfect.
In conclusion -- if you have ANY doubts, please do yourself a favor and THROW THEM OUT THE WINDOW. Marty is professional, SUPER talented, very experienced, kind, and ridiculously fun. I promise, it'll be the best part of your night. (After the whole "getting married" part, of course :) -

Marty's music was outstanding throughout our wedding day! The reason we choose Marty for our wedding is because he was so flexible and when we had a video call with him, we felt like he really cared about making the day special by trying to understand our needs and our vibe. We didn't have a ton of specific requests, but described the mood we wanted and he DELIVERED! He played lovely acoustic guitar music that was perfect for our outdoor ceremony setting. At night, he and his sax player did and fantastic job ramping up the energy after dinner! Our guests were extremely impressed by the liveliness brought by the 2 and are still raving about 'the band'! The music, lights, energy - everything was perfect! -

Best wedding band!!
My now husband and I first saw Marty and Drew play in Fort Collins two months into dating and made a mental note that if we got married some day we wanted him to play the wedding, and lucky us two and a half years later he was available! He was incredibly professional and helpful with suggestions throughout the planning process and made everything run incredibly smoothly throughout the ceremony and dinner, but brought the big guns out for the reception. It felt like a show at our favorite dive bar and Marty and Drew did an incredible job of keeping the energy going. We loved everything about our wedding but the band was definitely what stood out and one of the things we got the most compliments on. Wonderful guys and highly recommend for your special day! -

Marty and Drew played our wedding and were hands-down incredible. They were organized, professional, responsive, super easy to communicate with, and AMAZING MUSICIANS/wedding hosts!!!!
Marty sent over a very detailed spreadsheet 6-8 weeks prior to the wedding that would detail every step of the wedding he might be involved in - from setting the walk-down music, to announcing us and the dinner commencement, to calling out the end of the night shuttle bus arrivals, to all the actual dance/dinner music in between. And the whole evening just flowed from one part to the next without missing a beat.
They knew exactly how to work the crowd and the timing and we were all dancing so hard I had multiple people tell me the following day that their feet hurt from all the dancing! The music selection (that we had detailed and discussed from the document we filled out) was exactly on point the entire evening. They did this 90's song mash up that was so fun, everyone was singing along and dancing with all the old hits we used to love and kinda secretly still do for events like this ;)
I had at LEAST a dozen people (out of towners, family, local friends) say something along the lines of, "Who are these guys?? They are so much fun and awesome musicians/singers!" My dad at one point even said to me, "However much we paid them, is not enough. These guys are killing it." (which is a very rare compliment from my frugal father.)
Overall, I can't recommend them enough. I'd give them 100 stars if that was an option. They seriously are the best around, and made our wedding night a night to remember for everyone there. Get 'em now before they become too big of a deal to book locally!!

Great Music, Great Fun!
We hired Nightingale to perform at and emcee our wedding last weekend and they did a FANTASTIC job.
Marty plays guitar, sings, emcees, and dj's and Drew plays the saxophone. It really adds an extra classy element!
Marty is friendly, funny, outgoing, and that's all on top of being a versatile and talented singer and guitar player.
We had a wedding of 150 people and even with that many guests, Marty and Drew had such a great stage presence that two performers was plenty!
Both musicians are highly talented and have many well-known songs in their personal repertoire. They alternate between live music and a playlist and you can customize both of these!
The whole thing felt very natural and flowed well with our event.
Marty and Drew performed for the reception, and Drew also performed at our ceremony and for cocktail hour. He learned a couple of songs for us and played instrumental versions of them for the processional and recessional. He also entertained our guests before the ceremony as they were being seated. He sounded fantastic and made the event even more special for us.
The guests had so much fun throughout the day and we got a ton of positive feedback!
We HIGHLY recommend this amazing duo for your event! -

Amazing !!!
Marty, as well as his saxophonist, did an amazing, incredible job on our wedding day back in June in Estes Park!! He is an absolute professional, who met with us well in advance before the wedding to go over details and what our expectations were. He did an incredible job! Not only is he a super talented musician, but he is a very funny, kind person who made us feel at ease with the whole process! (Especially as I was nervous for the big day) He was absolutely incredible and everyone at our wedding kept talking about him and how they had such a great time! We had an unforgettable day thanks to Marty ! -

Samy Sent on 08/09/2018I literally cannot say enough good things or emphasize strongly enough how pivotal Marty and his saxophonist were in making our wedding amazing. From the moment they started playing at the reception, our dance floor was packed. I don't even know if they took a break!! They. Were. Incredible. And he was so great to work with - he completely captured our musical wishes and read the crowd. He has the world's greatest 90s mash up, and had everyone from the 3 year old to our 80 year old grandma dancing. He has a great questionnaire that helps guide the music choices, can DJ and alternate with live music, can MC, helped coordinate our vendors, and put us so much at ease. I am not exaggerating, so many guests told us it was the best wedding they had ever been to and I give Marty so much credit for that. He would have been worth 3 times the fee. We also have very specific requests for first dance and parent dances and he adapted the songs and tempos and length and learned them and played them live for us. He had great suggestions for songs for some components of the wedding where we had a hard time picking them (recessional, processional, mom/son, etc. )
If you're debating a DJ or band - do yourself a favor and look into Marty. We are obsessed. -
