  We met Martin during our search for our wedding photographer about a year before our event as a recommendation. He was friendly, personable and flexible (especially with our busy work schedules). I didn't know much about wedding planning, but Martin even helped with laying out a timeline for us! His style of work was exactly what we were looking for. Our engagement photoshoot was so much more fun than we had expected. We had heard some stories from friends of dreary and long sessions. But Martin made us feel so comfortable and threw in so many jokes that we had so many candid photos of us laughing and enjoying each other. We highly encourage everyone to do the engagement session with Martin because all of his cues and directions will be so familiar on the wedding day, it'll be a big time saver! Our families and friends absolutely loved our engagement photos, we got so many compliments. On the wedding day, Martin was punctual (even early). Our wedding day photos were even more fantastic. With his assistant, we were able to get so many different sessions fit in even on the busy day. Even with the time pressure, Martin stayed calm, professional and genuinely happy to capture us during the "golden hour." Martin was quick in getting us our beautiful photos to us after the wedding. We can't believe we have more than 500 photos picked out. His photo delivery system is so simple that with a few clicks, you can view your gallery or download them. We're having so much trouble trying to pick out which ones to hang up in our house. We had a great experience for a great price for excellent quality work. We would recommend him to anyone looking for a photographer!

  First of all, Martin is a family friend I knew from way back so we rekindled and caught up! Martin had a plethora of experience dealing with weddings so he was able to give us so much advice with wedding planning as well. He was very flexible meeting in person to get to know each other. He was very professional, friendly, funny and as well as his assistant (Matt). We met with him and his assistant and they ensured us in the case Martin would not be able to make it for some reason his assistant would be more than skilled to get the job done. Ideally it would be best for both of them to be there to be able to capture the most optimal shots. And which both were able to show up for the big day.
  During the engagement session Martin did a great job with making it very enjoyable and fun even though it was a pretty warm and long day. I've heard from friends that had pretty strenuous and almost dreadful experiences during their sessions. But Martin was great facilitating all the logistics and making jokes on how awkward I was taking pictures. I'm sure most of us want pictures quick to use it for invitations and he sure did deliver quick. We got our pictures within a week in our emails. The email allows you access it for month, to look at and download for anyone with password access for anyone. After that you would have to pay additional subscription to continue to look at. Simply, all you have to do is download it to your choice of storage.
  All the way up to the wedding Martin kept in touch to help with wedding planning. Martin and his assistant was punctual and came ready to catch the best shots. During the big day they put in some hard work, but enjoyed all the moments with us and the guests. The wedding pictures were ready and sent in about two months. There were about 500 pictures that were picked and edited out of almost thousand. Overall a great experience, great price, and amazing product!

  Martin Kim photography provided me and my wife the best service and professionalism during our wedding. He really made our day special and all the photoes and album came out very nicely. We will definitely recommend Martin for anyone who's currently looking for the photographer for their events!

  We were incredibly happy with Martin as our wedding photographer. We loved how our pictures turned out and the album we received was amazing quality. He was always responsive and very easy to work with. We were nervous when our wedding day turned out to be cloudy and rainy but the pictures turned out great thanks to Martin's artistic vision and creativity. He has a great personality he and his team did a good job of making our families and wedding party feel comfortable in the shoots. Overall, we were very lucky to have Martin there to capture our wedding and we would recommend him to anyone for their wedding too!

  My husband and I were very fortunate to have booked Martin and his team for our wedding last summer. Not only are Martin and my husband childhood friends, but I’ve been following Martin’s photography from the start. My husband and I met with Martin once we booked him and his team to go over our vision and the millions of questions that we had. Martin brought a whole suitcase of sample albums so that I could get a feel for the different styles, but also the different album schemes. He had an answer for every question I had even if it wasn’t his job to know. I also want to note that I did not have a wedding coordinator, so Martin was very helpful in breaking down the timeline for the actual wedding day. He responds to my emails/Facebook messages right away and doesn't miss a beat. We had our engagement shoot a few months later. It just so happened that it was 17 degrees that day, but you couldn’t tell from the pictures! Martin and Anna worked in tandem to get the perfect shots and helped to keep us warm in between the shots. It’s only fitting that our wedding was on the hottest and most humid day in August, or in 2016 for that matter. Martin, Anna and Matt arrived at the hotel ahead of schedule to scope out where we could take our first look and bridal party photos. Unfortunately, I was sick that day so I wasn’t very helpful. I relied on Martin and his team to keep us on schedule and direct the party on where they needed to be. I’ve received numerous compliments that they were there taking the right photos without having to be asked and that they were constantly visible and present throughout the entire day. They went above and beyond to make this experience truly special and I can’t thank them enough. The photos are AMAZING to say the least, not to mention that the turnaround was really quick. The quality of the couple album, parent albums and prints were also on another level. Martin, Anna and Matt – Thank you for beautifully capturing our special day!

  Martin was an excellent choice for photographing our wedding dinner. He has a unique sense of capturing moments and producing pictures are high quality but at the same time look natural.

  I met Martin through my best man's wedding. He stood out to me because he had recently broken his jaw from a fall and was directing us without any speech! Even with this disadvantage he was able to direct the wedding party for photos with great energy and smiles. As soon as I saw the photos from the wedding I was really impressed with how well he captured the emotion from the wedding. From this experience, I knew that I wanted Martin to be our wedding photographer.

From the start, he was able to assess budget and offer us a package that fit within our budget and photo requirements. He often felt like a wedding coordinator because he has so much insight on how wedding's run and the timing of events. He was extremely flexible with our timeline and worked through every detail to make sure we would be prepared.
  
  One of Martin's greatest qualities is his editorial eye. Martin is able to get the best moments from the wedding without any direction. I trusted Martin to take all the shots he thought he needed and the results did not disappoint me. Photographs and memories make a wedding special for a lifetime. Martin makes sure that you focus on making memories without having to worry about how the photographs are being taken.

  Martin and his team were awesome! We enjoyed having Martin shoot our engagement photos at the gorgeous Great Falls Park at his recommendation to complement what we wanted. We were very comfortable and easily able to be ourselves. Our wedding photoshoot was great especially with our venue and the weather. He took the time to focus on us, the bride and groom, but also the bridal party. Luckily, family photos were not too crazy and quickly finished after the ceremony. Reception photos showed the fun and exciting atmosphere we were hoping to give to our guests, friends and family. Overall, our experience with Martin Kim and his team was awesome and we would definitely choose him again for another once-in-a-lifetime photography experience!

  I've known Martin for a few years and have seen his photography skills grow tremendously; his photos just speaks for themselves. He has an eye for composition along with amazing editing skills. His style is very modern yet elegant while capturing raw emotions very well. Along with his excellent photography skills, he's has a genuine personality which helped my husband and I feel comfortable in front of the camera. He also made us laugh a lot which is always a plus when it comes to engagement and wedding photos! We couldn't be happier with the results! I'm usually very picky when it comes to Photography but Martin just surpassed all expectations and highly recommend him for every bride. Also, the wedding album was beyond amazing! You can "accidentally" draw on it with a sharpie and it will erase. Along with the album, he sent us a USB full of raw images from our wedding. It was sent to us in a beautifully wrapped package- it felt like Christmas!

  My now husband and I had the privilege of having Martin Kim as our wedding photographer. Martin is very professional, respectful, and honest. He is very easy to talk to and willing to give advice when asked. At our meetings before the wedding, he provided us with suggestions for a timeline and what type of photographs we would like taken at our wedding. He called us many times before our wedding just to see how we were doing and if we had any questions for him. His overall concern for us meant so much. I felt very confident going into our wedding that Martin was going to do an amazing job. He has so much experience, and was able to give tips and suggestions of wedding issues that we never even thought of. His expertise was much appreciated and was able to better prepare us for our wedding. On the day of the wedding, Martin was awesome- he knew exactly what shots he wanted to take and he was very discreet, meaning he was able to take his photographs with very little, if none, interruptions. It was apparent that he had done this many times and knew exactly what he was doing. It rained all day on our wedding day. This didn't stop Martin from taking amazing photographs. The best advice I can give a couple on their wedding day is to not have expectations on what pictures should be taken. We put our faith and trust in Martin's ability and our pictures reflect that. He was able to take photographs that look like they should be in a professional bridal magazine. I am truly in awe over how beautiful our wedding pictures turned out. I have had so many co-workers, family members, and friends ask me who are photographer was. I highly, highly encourage you to hire Martin as your wedding photographer.   I know you might think this review is no longer relevant, but I was the best man at my childhood friend's wedding a few months ago- naturally my friend chose Martin as his photographer.
  Martin is the real deal- he puts the couple first and is accommodating before and on the day.
  He's is really easy to work with and talk to- attributes that make a wedding photographer that much better.
  
  Not to mention that he still showed up to shoot our wedding even though he broke his jaw the weekend prior. Ask him about the story- it's crazy.

  Martin was exceptional from the day we first met. We were comfortable with his genuineness and the expectations that were set which he far exceeded. Martin has the ability to create images with his artistic talents (lighting, poses and scenery) and is very efficient which I think is an underrated asset (we took our engagement photos in the cold/rain). He took on different challenges and made it work out.
  
  Our engagement and wedding photos turned out amazing and we could not have been any happier with the final product. Book him before it is too late!

  The photos that Martin took for our engagement and wedding are absolutely beautiful. I remember the day being wonderful, but honestly didn't have as many moments of soaking it all in as I would have hoped. But reliving everything through the lens of Martin's camera is a trip back in time to our wedding day. I see all of our loved ones and remember everything that was so meaningful to us that day. The photos and albums are the perfect way to remember the day. He was particularly skilled at capturing candid moments throughout the day so that we felt free to be with our family and each other and didn't have to pose constantly.
  
  Martin was very flexible and responsive with us. He worked around our complicated and busy schedule, and responded to our requests with sensitivity and thoughtfulness.
  
  I worked with Martin to design our album and was really impressed not only with how well we collaborated, but also with how well they turned out. I can't speak highly enough about the product of albums and photos that were delivered to us.

  I was really disappointed in Martin's work for my wedding. The shots that he did provide me were fine, but he missed way too much for the amount of money that we paid. Martin doesn't take critique and requests too well. I received 2 pictures with my bridal party and none without the flower girl. He didn't take any photos after the ceremony with my bridemaids or just groomsman. He told me to wait to get pictures with my Dad and seemed flustered the whole time he was shooting. There was also a lack of shots with family and I have minimal shots of my husband and I looking at the camera after the ceremony. I also had to go find Martin to start taking our photos after the ceremony, he was too busy talking to a guest and that's simply unacceptable. He wasn't very focused on different occasions during our ceremony either. He didn't provide me with any shots of readings, people singing and details that were important to us. I think working off a shot list would have been beneficial, but he does not do that.
  
  Martin is very responsive to emails, but not responsive to requests from his clients. He has a very artistic approach to photography and does capture unique shots, but it doesn't make up for the lack of simplistic and standard shots you want on your wedding day. If you are willing to do a first look, he may be your guy, but if not, you may be disappointed with the product that you receive. When we hired Martin we told him we did not want to do the first look and were very upfront about it. On multiple occasions he proceed to push us into doing it, after I told him we wanted to do things the traditional way. He wants to do things his way. The presentation of the photos (ie. photo books, prints, usb etc.) are amazing. Martin does have a good company that his works with to provide you quality presentation when it comes to the photo albums.
