I had called this vendor to see what options were available for an elopment or private ceremony. They were all so helpful and responsive it was great. We were able to pick out every single thing in our ceremony including prayers and vows and everything. Everything went beautifully and the officiant was so professional but also friendly, and fun. I could not ask for anything else. Made our day so special and perfect for us. -

We had a wonderful experience
Annette went above and beyond to make our wedding ceremony truly unforgettable. She arrived well before we did to start a fire in the building we rented on a chilly early spring day, which was such a thoughtful touch.
We wanted a very short ceremony, and Annette helped us design something that felt completely personal and meaningful. She also made sure we captured amazing photos while keeping the atmosphere fun and relaxed.
What really stood out was her attention to detail—she didn’t miss a thing. When we realized we had forgotten our paperwork, Annette even drove to our hotel afterward so everyone could sign the documents. That level of care and dedication meant so much to us.
She made our day incredibly special, and we’re so grateful. -

Perfect Micro-wedding
Working with Annette and her Team was the best choice for our wedding and we are so happy with how the day turned out! Annette is so knowledgable and it truly feels like she cares about making it the most perfect experience.
My husband and I did not want a long engagement. We reached out to Annette within a few months of when we wanted to marry and she was able to set up a beautiful wedding, while keeping the process simple and fun. We had minimal stressors and Annette would respond within hours when we had any questions or concerns, no matter the time or day.
We wanted a small wedding along the North Shore and looked into Annette’s micro wedding package. This included planning/coordination, chairs and arch set up and tear down, officiant, music/speakers, a customizable small wedding cake with utensils, sparkling juice toast, customizable flowers for bride and groom (which were beautiful we got so many compliments!), and 2-hours of photography. We were able to chose from multiple photographers who were available during our day and spoke to them beforehand for planning. We had around 15 guests, but I recall more chairs are available. We also added on videography which we 100% recommend. The group Annette works with was amazing and we are so happy with the videos received.
Annette had a list of spots we could chose from, or she was open to someplace we may find. We chose a State Park and Annette met with us there to find the perfect spot overlooking Lake Superior. Our officiant, Jean, was great to work with! We looked through pages of ceremony examples to pick and chose what we wanted said at our ceremony. We sent songs to walk down to and even had our first dance after the ceremony. Cost was upfront and easy to navigate on her website, with payments spread out. Annette and her Team thought of every detail and made sure it was executed to make it seamless for us.
We appreciated how easy the process of planning was, and how day of we showed up to a beautiful set up and did not have to worry about all the specific details. Annette truly made our day so special and we would not change a thing! -

Annette was fantastic!!! We inquired and immediately received a response from Annette. We scheduled a phone call and discussed our ideas. She listened respectfully and made everything we wanted happen perfectly. She sent a wide variety of ceremonies to choose from or to use as a guide to write our own. She met us at our destination and professionally and lovingly performed our ceremony. It was perfect!!! As an added bonus, her husband took random photos with his cell phone during the ceremony. It was an intimate elopement on the North Shore on a warm December evening with candles on the rocks and waves splashing on the shore behind us. We will definitely renew our vows in the same place in the future with Marry Me in the Northland. She believes Love is Love with no judgment. She made it very clear that All are Welcome to use her services. It was perfect! -

Marry Me in the Northland made or wedding uniquely ours and special. It was easy to customize our vows with their help and our officiant couldn't have been more accommodating. We had an issue with our video and she completely went above and beyond her duties and offered to redo the entire ceremony so we could have it on video. She was so fantastic! I recommended that everyone uses them for their wedding! -

Marry Me in the Northland
Marry Me In The Nothland (Annette Lahr) constructed and officiated our wedding. She did a phenomenal job - we got so many compliments about how great and personal our ceremony was. Annette was great at listening to what we had in mind and understanding our vision. Not to mention her husband who was also a HUGE help with the ceremony and making sure it went off without a hitch. Her and her hubby were a joy to work with- very responsive, attentive and personable! -

Annette Lahr was a fantastic wedding officiant! Our ceremony was beautiful and she was very helpful. I really hadn't even been to many weddings before our own, and we were a little lost on what to put in our ceremony. But there was no need to worry, because Annette has created a detailed E-book to give you ideas and allow you and your significant other to create your perfect ceremony. I would definitely recommend Marry Me In The Northland. -

Annette is fantastic, she was super helpful starting with getting our marriage license and recommending some great places on the north shore. Annette was very responsive, stayed in touch with me all the way up to the wedding and even helped with photographing our wedding. I can’t thank her enough for making our day great. -

Called Marry Me in the Northland to request an officiant and got super lucky to not only have more than one officiant available on short notice but that the officiant we were matched up with was just fantastic! Hands down Annette is the best. She married us in September 2020. She made the whole process super easy. She also helped with recombination for makup, venues, and great places to eat (not even wedding related) she also helped me personally (im the bride) when the pandemic threatened i wedding plans Annette was there for me and helped me calm down and helped with back plans. If you want a stress free wedding you need to hire her !! We can't say enough good. She Truly made are wedding amazing. -

Annette was professional, calm, and punctual. We were really impressed with her ability to help us on short notice. She is kind and supportive no matter what type of ceremony you want to have.

I got married on June 6, 2020 and it was all pretty last-minute planning as my original plans had been cancelled due to COVID-19. My elopement planner got me in contact with Annette at Marry Me in The Northland and immediately when I spoke with her on the phone, she had a calming and reassuring personality. She let us have a say in all parts of the ceremony and helped make it wonderful. On the day of the wedding, just as she did on the phone, she helped calm and reassure us and made our ceremony beautiful and everything we hoped for! -

Jean Larson was AMAZING! We were looking for an officiant last minute for our wedding since we were originally going to have a family member marry us but that fell through. I only went on past reviews to decide to choose Marry Me in Duluth and it was one of the best parts about our wedding. Jean was so great to work with and let us completely customize our ceremony. We had so many guests come up to us after to ask us how we knew her since she seemed like she had known us forever. They were so impressed and uplifted by our ceremony. She truly had a large hand it making it our best day ever!Marry Me In The Northland's reply:
