Absolutely perfect

Like many other couples, our big wedding had to be postponed due to the virus, but we didn't want to wait to be married. I found Dan through a google search and saw he had many incredible reviews; he did not disappoint! His responses were so fast, he helped me research the requirements for my county, and was always friendly. He really worked to make the ceremony specific to us and incorporate what was important. Our elopement came together in a week with Dan's help, so I wasn't always organized but Dan helped everything run smoothly. He even traveled to our desired venue at no additional cost. It was an incredible day!

Dan was awesome!

We had to reschedule several times due to COVID and county restraints but we finally got it done 6-13! Dan was very professional and friendly. He did an amazing job during the ceremony, even helping me along when I started to lose it during my vows (couldn't stop crying). He even took photos for us that turned out great. I would highly recommend him to anyone!

Eloped during covid

Flexible and professional. Great for our elopement in the park. He was even nice enough to take a few pictures for us since we did not have anyone else in attendance. Definitely recommended :)

Great Ceremony!

My first idea was got married in the courthouse but I have an extended family we change our idea and planning a small party in our house. The experience was great and the best thing they can do in our home language Spanish.

Great experience with officiant

My husband and I hired Dan with Marry Me Houston for our wedding in November 2018. Dan was very responsive to emails and phone calls leading up to our big day, and also met with us several times in person to review details for the ceremony and do a walk through. He also helped me design our wedding program. Overall, Dan was a super nice vendor to work with and made sure our vision of the ceremony was fulfilled. What a wonderful experience! Minister Dan Somerby was so accommodating! We decided to get married very quickly (although we had been dating for 3 1/2 years) and Dan was there for us. Ok, so if your looking for the perfect wedding guy, this is it. I booked a 10 year anniversary “surprise” vowl renewal for my wife on the beach across from the San Luis Hotel. Dan worked his a** off to pull it off. He went above and beyond going out of his way to pick up roses, provide a table, pick up engraved sand and glass ware for a sand ceremony, provided and Arch (with flowers) and a white cloth runner covered in rose pedals. I could tell immediately that he had put a lot of thought into perfecting everything just right. It went absolutely perfect. In fact, he did such a great job at setting everything up, a huge crowed accumulated along the streets to watch us, with cheers and claps at the end. My wife loved it and was very surpried to see what I had arranged. Thank you Dan. You are awesome man! I really appreciate all the hard work and hope to see you again in 10 more years for our 20th.

Dan was great! I was about 20 mins late and he was so understanding!!! It was a beautiful wedding and I have Dan to thank! He was super flexible and accommodated my every wish! Couldn't have pictured it a better way! Thank you Dan!

After searching around for someone to marry us, my husband and I came across Dan's Facebook page. We contacted him and he responded immediately. Our marriage officiant Dan communicated well and accommodated our scaled-down special day, which was also a Valentines surprise to my wife (We'd already had a religious ceremony a few years back but had recently obtained our certificate.) Horacio was such a pleasure to work with and to have as our officiant. I HIGHLY recommend you pay the $75 fee for any officiant you choose to attend your rehearsal dinner. It'll help a lot to make sure you're on the same page. Dan Somberby (the coordinator of all officiants) was so sweet and QUICK with responses. I actually had my original officiant cancel on me about 2 months before the wedding so I called Dan in tears begging for help. I needed a bilingual officiant with a nice strong voice and great fluency in both languages. I was allowed to speak to Horacio over the phone to kind of "test him" and see how well his language knowledge was and he's perfect!! I booked him asap and it's easy to pay with the invoice Dan sends thru email. Everyone at my wedding, even those who don't speak Spanish, mentioned how awesome and sweet it was to have a bilingual ceremony. What's so great is that Dan and Horacio worked with us with exactly what portions to say in English and what in Spanish. Highly recommend! Dan is easy to work with just give him a call he'll be happy to help :)

I had a great experience with MerryMeHouston. The response was promptly replied from day one. They werebable to find someone to officiate the wedding at the desinated time and place. On the day of the wedding, the officiant showed up one hr before the scheduled wedding on a hot summer day. The ceremony was short and sweet ad we asked. I would recommend the service to anyone to make sure their special day goes smoothly.

Over all our experience was good, did have one issue trying to find a Spanish speaker a few days before wedding, and I also wish the officiant wasn't reading word for word from a piece of paper. But we're married now and that's all that really matters!!

Dan was our wedding officiant. He showed up for the ceremony but during the ceremony he seemed more nervous than us. Then, when signing the marriage licence he wrote a wrong date and a wrong county! We did not notice this until at the clerks office and it was a lot of trouble for us. I would not recommend his service to a friend.
