We absolutely love Marquis and everyone that came and made our wedding magical! Everyone had so much fun in the Photo Booth, we recieved so many picture strips from that! An Amazing Wedding!

50th Wedding Anniversary Celebration
Marquis was exceptional with helping us plan the celebration for our 50th wedding anniversary. We had never had a party of this size (approximately 80 guests) and Marquis was a god-send. Marquis truly went above and beyond. When I was feeling overwhelmed with all the details, he patiently listened to my concerns and offered valuable suggestions. His calm and reassuring demeanor helped to ease my anxiety. I was so excited just to get him for the entertainment aspect (DJ and Emcee), but he provided so much more! He actively helped us plan the entire event, from the ceremony to the reception of which included the “pièce de résistance”, his music, performance and entertainment! Marquis demonstrated a high level of professionalism as he expertly managed the flow of the event, ensuring a smooth and engaging experience for all guests. This included coordinating with vendors and managing the timeline effectively. He is blessed with the talent and ability to get people involved and on the floor to dance and party. Marquis even won over our teenage grandsons and helped them to relax and partake in the festivities. We received so many favorable comments from our guests on how fun Marquis and his group were and how much fun they had at our party. I highly recommend Marquis Entertainment for your event. Very flexible, reliable, and organized team. Knew how to keep the party flowing smoothly despite the hiccups here and there. Our September, 2023 wedding
This review is suuuuper late. My husband and I are sitting at an annual outdoor Hasfest-fest our friends have at this very moment. Once again, Marquis is the MC and killin it, of course!
We both looked at each other and without words we both knew what each other was thinking…..WE NEVER DID HIS REVIEW!!! And our wedding was 9.16.23😬.

Early on in our wedding planning we hired Marquis Entertainment, and from our very first meeting, Marquis was there to help us plan the wedding of our dreams. He assisted us with our itinerary, provided catering recommendations, seating and dance floor layout, among many other things. Marquis is THE KING of Weddings
Marquis was listed as a preferred vendor for our venue and as a DJ. When I called to inquire about DJ services, Marquis said that he could be a one stop shop - day-of coordinator, DJ, master of ceremonies. Knowing nothing about wedding planning, we thought "it couldn't hurt to have a pro!"
From the moment we had our consultation to discuss our vision, I knew Marquis was the right choice. We had one consistent vision for the theme of our wedding, colors and flowers could change, but the theme had to be HAPPY all the way.
We could not describe it. It just had to be a feeling everyone got about our wedding from start to finish. It had to be in the invites, the food, the music, etc. And somehow, with all of our romantic rambling, Marquis understood what we wanted.
His planning tools were easy to navigate. He was available when we had questions. He vibed well with my group. I don't know how he simultaneously whipped the rowdy groomsmen into shape, lulled me out of my wedding stress, and actually got my grumpy dad to smile, but he did. Marquis is infectiously charismatic while being a strict professional. Every moment happened on time and according to plan while everyone enjoyed every moment without feeling like things were scripted in the slightest.
I can't say enough good things about Marquis.
One additional note, that made just a beautiful memory for our perfect wedding, Gerald, the DJ, needs a raise for dealing with the absolutely off-the-wall song requests at the end of the night. At one point, I asked my niece what song she wanted to hear, and she said "anything from The Sound of Music". And Gerald provided. And then we all learned the corresponding choreography to Do Re Mi from my niece. It was amazing.

Marquis came recommended from the Dante Club (the wedding venue) and since our first phone call with him, we knew he was the right person. Marquis maintain constant communication with me and my fiancée and helped us with our vision for the wedding. Marquis made the ceremony and reception a day to remember and we will forever be thankful for his professionalism, charisma and friendliness. I never write reviews but after working with Marquis, I had to write one. Marquis and his son were exceptional! Their professionalism and eye for detail was such a relief. Marquis was very thorough and detailed throughout the process and wanted to ensure our day would go off without a hitch. They were a huge hit with us, our families, and guests. Their positivity was infectious - everyone was smiling talking to them and ranting to us (the bride and groom) about how great of an MC and DJ they were. A must have vendor for any occasion
Marquis was very personable and attentive throughout our wedding planning and day of. He was quick to respond to messages and helped with any questions or concerns within 48 hours or less. He was present at the rehearsal and walked us (the bride, groom and officiant) through the ceremony lineup and then the bridal party. The rehearsal and day of went smoothly. Leading up to the reception he helped keep us on schedule and our guests entertained with even a few guests pulling us aside to tell us how much they were enjoying how Marquis was emceeing. He remembers everyone’s names, including most of our guests. He’s great to work with and we highly recommend him!

The best in the business!
Weddings are so stressful, and to add to the stress you have to put your trust in someone to keep the flow of the wedding going and make sure things run on time and make sure everyone knows what's going on. If it's not organized, it's a disaster. That was a huge stressor of mine, and from the very first meeting with Marquis I was put right at ease. There was no way I couldn't have Marquis at the wedding because I don't think I could have trusted anyone else with the job. Marquis is so organized down to the last little detail nobody else would think of. He's charismatic, professional, responsive, and he runs a tight ship when it comes to your wedding. Marquis was our officiant and DJ/MC for our wedding on Friday July 23rd 2021. He made our wedding day so special by making the celebration “like a movie”. He helped keep us on schedule and organized through out the evening. Marquis went over and beyond in making our day amazing as well as keeping all of our guests entertained. Marquis was a fantastic DJ and coordinator. He went above and beyond his job duties to help with whatever was needed. From helping set up to assisting with filling wine glasses, Marquis was amazing. He even stayed a little longer to show us the cupid shuffle which was extremely fun. His ability to mingle with the guests makes it seem like a friend who volunteered to be a DJ but his skill was that of a professional. We will recommend him to every person we know who needs his services. Worth every penny

Marquis went through every detail of the wedding with us. Getting to know us personally allowed him to make the wedding about us and for us. He is incredibly charming and all of our guests loved him! Marquis was a huge highlight without taking away the spotlight. The care and professionalism that he took to make our wedding the best it could be exceeded our expectations by leagues.
Marquis worked incredibly well with all of our other vendors. He made sure everything had a flow and that the whole event was cohesive.
We had several poignant and specific details that we wanted to happen throughout our reception, and Marquis was able to accommodate and execute them all perfectly! We are extremely happy with Marquis and cannot recommend him highly enough!
We loved our time with Marquis so much that we hope to see him sometime in the future. He was an inspiring personality to be around, and is a wonderful person overall.

My wife and I were married on 1/11/20 and we used Marquis Entertainment for our officiant services as well as for the DJ services. Our experience with Marquis Entertainment was great!
We decided to meet with Marquis and his team after learning that they are a preferred vendor at many venues. The venue we used was Grand Island Mansion in Walnut Creek, Ca. After calling Marquis, the conversation with him couldn’t have went any better. This man is genuine! Since we were so impressed with Marquis over the phone, we decided to meet for a face to face meeting and that’s all it took. The man is sincerely a professional who really cares and makes it his ultimate priority to give you the experience of a lifetime.
During this meeting, the planning process with Marquis was seamless during which he explained how he would deliver the officiant part of things to how we should choose songs, plan for toasts, wedding party announcements, etc. He even asked questions to get to know not only the bride and groom but, the entire family and the groomsmen and bridesmaids. That was a pleasant surprise since after speaking to other vendors prior, we did not get this much attention to detail. For the planning, Marquis provided us with easy to follow planning paperwork and it served as a great guide as to how we should plan our special day.
The day of our wedding went smoothly! Even after everything was planned, as the wedding moved forward, Marquis still made great suggestions to better improve an already, well planned event. Music was played without missing a beat. Announcements and toasts were done wonderfully. The timing of everything was impeccable. Marquis is awesome at staying involved, he is on top of every detail, he makes sure to get to know everyone and he is a master at getting the party started. Everyone is involved after Marquis talks to them.
Overall, we would absolutely, without a doubt recommend Marquis Entertainment! You will not be sorry! Use Marquis Entertainment if you really want a wedding to remember.

My personal experence with my daughter's wedding
Wow. I can't say enough in praises for this service from Marquis Entertainment. He is thorough, detail oriented, and creative in planning stages. Then Marquis takes the initiative to connect with the other crucial vendors involved in the wedding day itself. So then by the wedding rehearsal everyone knows what to expect and support to make things smooth. The music was tailored so individually to each stage of the day. The wedding day itself, because of all the attention prior to really, all aspects of an event such as an wedding, comes off stress free as is humanly possible. I was the mother of the bride and the wedding planner, and the day of the wedding I felt as a huge weight was off my shoulders as Marquis has done his homework to such a professional level, that I was just floating through the ceremony and reception being able to enjoy it and focus on the important item, the bride and groom. Honestly, I can't rave enough of this service provided by Marquis Entertainment.

A happy ever after
Marquis’s moto is “Make your day like a movie” and he sure helped produced that! We received their Officiant, DJ, and Photo Booth package which was amazing. Marquis and his team brought so much life and entertainment to our wedding that made our day that more special. There was no time during the wedding planning or wedding day were we felt stressed or worried at all. Marquis Entertainment are very experienced and knowledgeable on wedding details that brought ease to us. We loved working with Marquis and William! Where to begin! Marquis was an absolute pleasure to work with. He really turned our wedding dreams into a reality. He is extremely organized, quick to respond and very professional. He helped guide us through the entire wedding planning process. When we hit a roadblock we called Marquis for help and he always came through. We used Will Smith as our day of DJ and he is THE BEST. I would absolutely recommend Marquis to any couple planning their wedding! Marquis made a strong impression from the start; his professionalism, keen attention to detail, and genuine personality made it easy to select him as our DJ. Marquis kept in contact with us over the entirety of our engagement period, which really helped with the planning process. He made sure to ask for our opinion and ensure our voice/vision was incorporated into all of the big and small aspects of our big day. We were blown away on our big day when he took the time to memorize each of our guests names over the course of the evening. He made everyone feel welcome and a part of our closest community by including them while he was MCing; he did not make one mistake with our music, and keep the night flowing smoothly. A huge amount of my guests still compliment me to this day about how great a DJ we had. I can easily say he was the best vendor we selected. Amazing! Thankful for Marquis Entertainment
Thanks Marquis for making our wedding one of the best days ever! From the very beginning, we knew everything would be alright because he made sure we kept a smile on our faces. Marquis was great at making our wedding like a movie and kept telling us that the two of us and him were a team. He helped us pick out our music and made sure it flowed right. His assistant DJ (sorry we didn't get his name) knew how to get the guests on the dancefloor. Our family and friends enjoyed his entertainment, personality, and jokes. He guided us throughout our wedding and kept everyone laughing, smiling, and dancing. The photobooth was also a hit; thank you Marquis for being patient with our guests and allowing them to take more pictures than agreed upon. We know our wedding wouldn't have been a success without him. A big thanks for listening to us and lifting our spirits when we were down, especially with the wind on our wedding day and when others weren't helpful. Marquis was the life of the party. I was afraid nobody at our event would get up and sing; but he worked the room and charmed people into trying it. Amazingly awesome
Marquis was awesome and made our day a truly memberable event. He listened, was easy to work with, hndled everything with ease. He was our officiant, MC, and DJ. But more than that he knew to incorporate things and people that meant so much to us in our wedding. We highly recommend him and his company to use in your wedding or event. We cant say enough about him

Excellent! One of the best parts of our reception!
My fiance and I were very choosy when it came to selecting our DJ. We initially were not even going to hire a DJ, planning to just play things off of an iPod and rent a sound system. I am SO GLAD we chose to hire Marquis!! To those considering just going the iPod route - the DJ/MC does so much more than just hitting the play button. Marquis was integral to organizing our reception, keeping people informed about what was happening, cuing everyone, keeping our events on time, and keeping the mood fun, elevated, and energized. He was a total lifesaver, and so professional while hilarious and personable! Like I said, we were choosy, and interviewed several other well-rated DJs before hiring Marquis. He was the only one who immediately set us at ease and reassured us that our wedding would be
"like a movie" - and he did make sure that happened. We have no idea how he did it, but he memorized EVERY SINGLE GUEST'S NAME. It was amazing and made things so personal. He made everyone laugh and he got everyone to cheer, dance, and participate when the energy was getting low. My family and friends can't stop talking about how funny and delightful Marquis was. He played all the correct music and kept us on track - and even conspired with my family to make a special (and super hilarious) surprise for me.

We had Marquis as out DJ and he was really more of a day of event coordinator! He came to our rehearsal and ensured that enveryone knew what to do, and day of wedding he kept things flowing! He played all of our requested music and everyone had a fantastic time on the dance floor! We only wished it lasted longer!

Great Photobooth experience!
Guests raved about the friendly attendant and how much fun they had getting in the booth! Even people we never expected to take a photo felt comfortable. Also great that as the bride/groom, we got a hard and digital copy of each photo taken !! Great overall experience in preparing for the big day!

Marquis was more than just a DJ. He really took the time to get to know my husband and I and give us exactly what we were looking for. He took the time to remind us of the importance and sentiment to the whole wedding planning process. He created a very smooth flow of events at the wedding and was a big hit!

What a day!
We had the best wedding! And a lot of that was in part due to Marquis Entertainment. They kept the wedding flowing and it moved seamlessly between pre-ceremony, ceremony, cocktail hour and then reception. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

Best decision!
My wife and I were not able to afford a wedding planner. She did most of it but the main reason we went with Marquis is his promise to keep things flowing smoothly and personably. He delivered beyond our belief. The music was great, the jokes were funny, and everyone was at their places when they needed to be.

I cannot recommend Marquis enough! He helped us plan our ceremony and made great recommendations. Everything went smoothly and just as planned. Our guests could not stop talking about how great he was! At one point, he had every single guest on the dance floor. He supported with the transitions between ceremony to cocktail hour and cocktail hour to reception. Our wedding was very much representative of us as a couple, and we are so grateful to have had Marquis! Recommend 100%. See the photo evidence of how relaxed and stress free it was ;)

Marquis Entertainment was the perfect DJ for our wedding day! Everyone that works there is a pleasure to work with. I had no issues or concerns; nothing but the best of complements for their team! Will Smith was our DJ and everyone enjoyed his energy and he was very great about staying on top of the itinerary and keeping the events of the day moving along. We also used their officiant services and we loved working with Brenda! Overall their services were wonderful and I would recommend them to everyone I know. The photobooth was a major hit as well!

We first came across Marquis while looking at YouTube wedding videos at potential venues. I mentioned to my then fiance that the MC was pretty good and wished we knew how to contact him. 2 months later while searching for D.J.'s we came across Marquis' picture and business listing on Wedding Wire. I told my fiance, "I want this guy to D.J. our wedding!!" We scheduled a consultation with Marquis and instantly we knew he was the right guy for our wedding. His energy, personality and organization instantly drew us in. We not only hired Marquis to D.J. and MC our wedding but he was also our officiant. All around, Marquis and his staff did an amazing job. With all the stress of wedding planning, we appreciated that Marquis was more of an ally than the average vendor. Did I mention he practically coordinated our wedding?? Marquis' slogan is "your wedding day is like a movie." Let's just say he's an award winning director in our book. Our guest loved him and week later we still get comments about the fantastic job he did.
Marquis - My wife and I just want to say THANK YOU for doing an amazing job, I can honestly say you added immensely to the magic of our wedding day and it wouldn't have been the same without you! We'll see you in 34 years for the vow renewal!

Marquis helped us plan my parents' 50th wedding anniversary party and then was a valuable contributor to the overall success of the evening! The evening was so smooth and he adjusted when little things came up that we needed to change. He was warm and welcoming to all the guests, and the music he played matched the event perfectly. I had numerous compliments from our friends and family that he is the best DJ they have ever met! I would definitely ask Marquis to DJ any event we have in the future. He is the best!

I met Marquis at a wedding fair and within seconds of speaking with him I knew that he was the only one I wanted to DJ and Emcee my wedding! Marquis did everything he said he would and more. He helped in all areas of my wedding from planning the flow of the day, to helping pick the perfect photographer, to table layout and so much more! On my wedding day I was able to sit back and relax knowing that if anything wear to arise, which of course it did, that Marquis would handle it. Days after my wedding my family and friends could say enough great thing about Marquis, with out him my wedding could have been a complete mess! If your planning a wedding on your own like I did then your going to need Marquis.
