It was an honor to have Rick Parisi DJ our wedding in February 2024. He was able to take a few genre preferences and a handful of song request and curate an unforgettable night of music. He brought the coolest ambiance to cocktail hour and best vibe to dinner. Our friends are still talking about his playlists! He has a sleek booth that creates the perfect stage to the dance floor. Even with only 40 guests, he kept us dancing all night long. Not only is he talented, but his composure and kindness made him a pleasure to work with. Truly elite - highly recommend Rick Parisi with Marquee Events. -

I have worked with Rick and his team multiple times for Corporate events and they have always been perfection. So when my daughter was getting married, there was no question who we would be working with. We hired Rick and Evan to DJ our daughters wedding on 9/3/21. All I can say is from start to finish everything was amazing! The up-lighting, the music and the way they interacted with the crowd was beyond my expectations. IMMEDIATELY GO BOOK RICK-SERIOUSLY DO NOT CHOOSE ANYONE ELSE. Rick went above and beyond for us. When we originally booked him (a week after we got engaged and choose the wintergarden), we knew he would be amazing. When we decided we had to postpone, he was there with us every step of the way making sure he was a support. Luckily for us he was available for our new date and we didn’t have to lose out on an amazing DJ who we get to party with twice! One of my bridesmaids who was giving a speech this year was unable to attended the wedding very last minute due to COVID and I was heartbroken. Rick took control and made sure to have her set up on Zoom to be able to do her speech. Not only was she set up for the speech but he also called her early enough and set her up to be able to see the first dance and father daughter dance as she has been in my life for 13 years. He made sure she saw everything and took all my stress away. During the reception he was always asking if we needed anything even going and getting us more drinks. He also helped keep us updated on what was coming next so we were ready. We played the shoe game and not only did he read off all the questions but he made the whole game even funnier with his responses. When I saw him before I went down for the first look, he immediately complimented me and said we were going to have an amazing night. He was so energetic both him and his assistant and at the end of the night he said how excited he is to party with us really next year when we don’t have to worry about masks on the dance floor! Rick made sure at the end to thank us and say how excited he was to see everyone next year. I seriously look at Rick as a friend now and couldn’t imagine not having him be a part of our wedding and we can’t wait to party even harder with him next year -

Marquee events was just what we needed for our special day!! We had Shaun and he was outstanding! He made our day so easy and one that we will never forget. Shaun was personable and energetic, he fit in like part of our family. -

Rick Parisi was our DJ for our wedding on 8.24.19! He was amazing and met with us prior to the wedding to go over all details or questions we had. The worksheet forum they use is easy to access so you and your DJ can make changes. Rick was able to take charge of our rowdy wedding party to go over the details prior to announcing them to our guests so they knew what the line up was going to be. Kept the dance floor packed all night! Our guests ranged from mid 20s- late 70s and everyone loved Rick! He also checked in throughout the night including checking if we wanted the song to be changed for cake cutting while the dance floor was packed or if we wanted them to continuing dancing which was very thoughtful and I know most DJ’s wouldn’t have thought to ask and was flexible with our timeline that was pushed out a bit from sunset photos! We would hire Rick again and again!! Five stars! -

Rick Parisi was our DJ for our wedding on 8/17/19 and he beyond met our needs and expectations. Rick is top notch at what he does. He can read the room and can adjust to meet your needs and get everyone up and on their feet. He made the process super easy and was very accommodating. You will not be disappointed with Marquee Events or Rick Parisi! He is extremely talented and brings a high end touch to events! I would highly recommend them and use them again at other events! -

We were so happy to have Rick and his team for our wedding day. Rick is truly amazing at what he does from playing great music, reading the room and organizing groups of people to make an event come together. I had some unique music requests for our wedding and Rick far exceeded my expectations of what I asked for. We also added uplighting a few weeks before our wedding which I would also highly recommend - this really makes the room! -

Rick Parisi and Marquee Events did an excellent job for our wedding. Everything was customized to what worked best for our mix of guests-- versus a lot of other DJs we interviewed who force you to pick your songs and your do not plays off a set list and limit the number you can provide them. Rick was very easy to work with, reliable, and we cannot recommend him enough! Our guests danced all night long!Edit Review -

Ricki was amazing!! He helped us through our whole wedding day, and was just the right amount of involved. He knew exactly what the crowd wanted to hear, while keeping to the genre of what my husband and I wanted. I wouldn't recommend anyone but him! -

They were worth every penny! From the prep work in understanding what we wanted, to the quality of the lighting - they were excellent. Their speakers were perfect for the speeches everyone could hear. The music they played kept the dancefloor stocked all night, never lost the crowd. Their price was the best quoted, just slightly under everyone else’s that came with a great reputation. We came across them at another wedding where Rick was the DJ and myself and my now wife just had the best time on the dancefloor. Unfortunately Rick was booked for our date, he told us to trust him that Shaun was every bit as good - we were right to trust! Thank you to Marquee events for making our night perfect, the Dj makes or breaks a wedding....these guys were worth it and more! -

If you are still looking for a DJ, stop and book Rick! He was absolutely phenomenal from my first email with him to the last song played at our reception. He provided music throughout our cocktail hour and reception, as well as a microphone for our officiant and music for our ceremony.
Prior to the wedding we were given the option to have complete freedom. We could have picked every single song for our entire day if we wanted. With everything else we had going on (aside from 4 songs for our ceremony) we decided to put our complete faith in Rick. I chose genres for the cocktail hour and noted that I wanted to keep everyone on the dance floor throughout the reception, that was it! He nailed it, we had guests from age 16 to 75 tearing up the dance floor from the first to the very last song.
If that’s not enough for you, he checked in with my husband and I throughout the afternoon and evening, not only to confirm the music was to our liking, but to make sure we had eaten and even offered to get us drinks if we needed them.
He was full service and a complete professional. It felt as if another one of our friends was there with us, checking in, and making sure we were having the best day. I will recommend him to anyone I know, and if I ever need a DJ again Rick will be the first and only person I call. -

Marquee provided the DJ, uplighting, and photo booth for my wedding in November 2018 and I was beyond thrilled with the entire experience from start to finish!
Rick is honestly a master of his craft. He was able to understand the tone and vibe of our vision and totally nailed the music. We threw a few last minute changes at Rick and it didn't faze him at all, he's a total professional. Our dance floor was full literally the entire night! Every song was a great selection and he kept bringing energy the whole night plus all of the transitions were flawless so it felt like a non-stop dance party.
The photo booth that Marquee offered completely exceeded our expectations! Our guests were obsessed with it! The backdrop was gorgeous, there was a nice variety of props, the operator was really nice, and all of the prints were very high quality.
The lighting that they brought was to die for, it looked gorgeous and helped transform the room. This was a no-brainer inclusion for us as it was well worth the cost.
I have been to many weddings and I honestly feel that Marquee is without equal in the Rochester area. If you're going to invest in your wedding day, do NOT cut corners when it comes to entertainment! We couldn't have been happier with the investment we made. Thank you Rick & the Marquee team for being such a big part of our amazing day! -
Nikki Sent on 07/14/2018Rick simply was amzing! He made our dance floor full of guest who couldn’t help but dance to his music. He played a wide variety of music to accompany all guest ages. Rick was really easy going and I couldn’t have imagined our day without him. Hands down best DJ!!!
