Rhett was an absolute rockstar as our wedding photographer! He got back to us faster than any of our other vendors, which made planning so much easier. On our wedding day, he created an enjoyable experience to where the photos were actually fun to take. I had multiple of my bridesmaids tell me how much they loved my photographer! It gave me a great feeling throughout the day knowing I made the right choice. The edited photos are incredible, and I couldn't be happier! I'd recommend Marley Photography in a heartbeat to anyone looking for an amazing photographer! Thank again Rhett! -

Looking at the ceremony shots, I realized I never even noticed him—he was silently moving around, finding the best angles and capturing every important moment. Rhett Marley's sunset beach photos at our wedding at the Citadel Beach Club in Isle of Palms were perfection. I loved his pre-wedding photos with my bridesmaids in downtown Charleston at Lashes & Lace. Rhett also captured funny photos of the groomsmen on the beach. We are no experts in posing either and Rhett made it feel so natural! He took genuine emotional photos of my uncle and I dancing together that I will cherish forever. Thank you Rhett! -

Rhett was delightful to work with and took the time to get to know us and find out our likes/dislikes ahead of time. He produced beautiful still, candid, and posed photos. He somehow managed to get every shot without you knowing he was there. Not disruptive at all. He provides you the ability to download all of your pictures at the end. Price below reflects 8 hrs of photography but he has several packages available. Please do not hesitate to hire him for your wedding photography - you will not be disappointed. -

The absolute best!!!!
Just the best. If I could give more than 5 stars I would.
We hired Rhett early on in our wedding planning process for both engagement and wedding photos after looking at reviews and his work… of all of our wedding planning decisions, it was one of the best. He is a pleasure to work with — kind, fun, extremely creative, and has that rare ability to keep everyone loose and smiling. He is very professional and communication never lacked. His turnaround time was less than a week for both engagement and wedding photos.
And his work speaks for itself. Absolutely. Magnificent. We are unbelievably grateful to Rhett for sharing his talent with us and providing us with such beautiful photos that we will have to look back on for the rest of our lives.
There is not an endorsement for him that is strong enough. Just hire him and you will be so happy you did. the wedding industry and world needs more Rhett’s. -

I had the opportunity to work with Rhett on a wedding last Spring at The Wickliffe House. He was so relaxed and easy going, while still capturing all of those gorgeous wedding photos. The getting ready space, ceremony, and reception were all at different locations. Rhett had to lug his equipment (and set it up and break it down) countless times throughout the day, and I didn't see him stress about any of it once. He was very easy to work with and communicate with, and kept my couple feeling at ease throughout the day. The photos I received back were beautiful, and exactly what my couple was looking for! I loved the way his editing brought out the vibrant colors of their wedding florals and decor. I would love to work with Rhett again, and definitely recommend him to others!! -

We loved Rhett!
I am not someone who generally leaves reviews but this is one fellow who deserves the greatest review! My husband and I had the best time with Rhett! He is professional and a laid back guy who’s creativity shines! We received our “sneak peak” pictures just days after our wedding and we are completely blown away. I will always be grateful that he was put in our path to take such precious pictures for us that we will cherish for the rest of our lives! Rhett is very personable and made us feel very comfortable and ourselves! I don’t think we could have ever found a better and more reasonable priced photographer. You will not regret choosing him! -

Best Wedding Photographer in Charleston of 2020, I think that award should include ALL of South Carolina and surrounding areas. As we all know choosing vendors for the big day is always exciting and one of the most exciting parts. It could also be very stressful!
It all started from Day 1 with Mr. Rhett Marley. We reached out to Rhett along with multiple other photographers. All of them had the same response, expect for Rhett. Rhett sent a personalized video message of him introducing himself and acknowledging he received our request and made us feel confident of our wedding at The Beach House on Hilton Head Island. That really meant a lot to us and really put all the other photographers on the back burner. Rhetts pricing is competitive, and even with Rhett’s Traveling Fee outside of the Charleston Area, his pricing was still competitive with other photographers we had reached out to.
Rhett worked countlessly with us during Covid. Unsure of how we would proceed he made us feel confident and let us know no matter what we would have different options if needed in regards to his photography.
Leading up to the big day Rhett came up with a perfect timeline and amazing photo ideas. We couldn’t have asked for a better Photographer! His upbeat and fun personality really made it feel like we connected with Rhett on our day while he captured all the most precious moments during our Wedding. We will certainly recommend Rhett to anyone visiting the area! We are so eager to receive our Wedding Photos!
Once Rhett finished with his contracted hours, he stayed and busted out the Cupid Shuffle with us. Nice work Rhett 😉.

Rhett and Marley Photography literally saved the day for our wedding. We originally booked a different photographer and she had a family emergency the week of our wedding and couldn't make it. Rhett stepped in with just days to prepare and completely put us at ease. Charleston was a destination for us so Rhett immediately booked a call with us and we exchanged dozens of emails leading up to the big day so he could have everything perfect.
The day of our wedding it didn't matter at all that we hadn't met him in advance, he was so professional and so kind that he put us right at ease - we hardly knew he was there for half the night! After the wedding we worked with our original photographer on some edits, but returned to Rhett for some editing as well, and his images just absolutely blew us away. He is super responsive, incredibly talented, and will absolutely provide you with stunning photos to remember your big day by. Definitely recommend! -

I cannot say enough great things about Rhett and Marley Photography. Planning a destination wedding can be stressful, especially finding vendors online that you can trust with something as important as your wedding photos. You can trust Rhett and put your worries aside.
From the first email I knew we were in great hands. He thought of everything -- from perfecting our timeline and learning about us to asking all the right questions about our day and what was important to us. Rhett captured perfect behind the scenes photos, detail photos -- and my favorite -- the genuine emotion photos of us, our families and our guests. Aside from being an amazing photographer, Rhett is a super nice guy. He was able to manage all of the different personalities within our wedding party. Everyone loved him. Most importantly, he won over my now husband who hates being photographed. Rhett was able to make him smile and capture photos I will treasure forever. He was very efficient too. There wasn't any standing around which I appreciate. We were all able to enjoy the day.
As an added bonus, Rhett filmed a Facebook live video while he was editing some of our wedding photos. What a special treat! I got to see just how much goes into editing photos and watch an artist at work. He has a great eye and is a truly talented photographer. If he is available, book him! -

Rhett Marley is the best wedding and engagement photographer!!!! I would recommend him to anyone!! He is friendly, detailed, timely, affordable, and his pictures speak for themselves... Amazing!!! He has access to taking pictures at the beautiful Boone Hall and wow did those pictures turn out so good!! We had so much fun during our engagement shoot!!! He was a pro at getting me and my now husband to take pictures! It takes only a couple of shots to go from awkward to comfortable!! I was so excited when it came time for Rhett to do our wedding because we loved the engagement pictures!! He even met with us for coffee before our wedding to go over the wedding shot details. We chose Marley Photography because we liked how light and joyous the photos looked, which was exactly the feel we wanted for our wedding. Rhett was very professional and an all-around nice guy, great to work with and very responsive (even in the midst of hurricane season). He was also very accommodating when scheduling meetings during the limited windows we were in town. We had to start out with the 5 hour package and were later able to bump it up to the 8 hour package, which was so worth it. Our photos came in much sooner after our wedding than expected and we love them all so much that we've had trouble picking the ones we like best for the frames in our house. I would recommend Marley Photography to anyone! -

We asked his professional/local opinion on the "best" areas of Charleston to take pictures-without any cliche shots, and HE DELIVERED! Our pictures are quintessential Charleston without being trite. As we went around town, if we saw any place we wanted to get married, he would stop and take pictures there for us. He was so easy going! Everyone loved how easy he was to work with and he handled our crazy family members in stride. He took so many pictures and he had them back and edited within 2 weeks of our wedding. I would recommend Rhett to anyone getting married in Charleston, no questions about it! He deserves all those awards he has won!

Ariel Sent on 04/25/2018When finding Rhett Marley featured on TheKnot.com and looking through his portfolio we knew right away that we found our wedding photographer. I myself loved how genuine and inviting Rhett seemed during his bio video! Contacting and staying in touch with him was super easy, he’s also very flexible! Rhett was informative and helpful from the first time meeting with him. The whole process was a breeze and he made it so much fun! The wedding day was organized and not rushed at all, he made sure we were comfortable and was very adjustable if we had any last minute changes. Even when the weather was acting up and we couldn’t get the sunset shots we wanted, he made a way to capture beautiful pictures with the landscape around us. I’ve gotten so many compliments from people who weren’t even at our wedding mentioning they felt as if they were actually there just by how perfect every picture was captured. Rhett exceeded our expectations as a photographer and made our vision for our wedding come to life and MORE! We were definitely blessed to have this man as our wedding photographer and I can’t wait to see what else we have in store together, we’ve found our family photographer for sure!!

Devon Sent on 01/02/2018For me the photos were one of the most important aspects of our wedding day since they stay with you long after the cake is gone. However, we didn’t want to spend the fortune that some photographers in Charleston charge. We were so lucky to find Rhett. He’s a fantastic photographer, he’s so personable and makes everyone feel at ease, which leads to great photos. I had an extremely detailed shot list and plan for the day and he completely nailed it! The day of our wedding also presented a huge challenge since we had pretty much every type of weather imaginable: partly cloudy, blazing sunshine, pouring rain, and a glorious sunset. It felt like we were giving him a photography pop quiz to make sure he could capture moments in all those different settings and he aced it!
He was also great with communicating before and after the wedding. We were able to work out a schedule and he even volunteered to come 30 minutes early to ensure we had time to get all of the shots I requested. We got our photos back about two weeks after the wedding, just as we were returning from our honeymoon (We had our photos back weeks before someone else I know who had gotten married a few weeks before us).
The website he uses makes it incredibly easy to download all the photos and also to share with family. And Rhett was extremely helpful in quickly doing a few photo touchups I requested for the shots that we plan to blow up to hang on the walls.
Overall, I feel extremely lucky to have found Rhett to help document our wedding day with his beautiful photographs!
