Mario was amazing!

Planning an elopement is a tad stressful, it's hard to not meet with vendors in person. Mario made it SO EASY for our destination wedding in beautiful Eleuthera. He responded quickly to texts and calls, and when he showed up - he showed up!!! He was fun and funny and kept things light hearted - not inundating my groom and son with too many pictures, taking just the right amount. He was game to try some of my funny ideas, not to mention the absolutely BEAUTIFUL photographs!!! Amazing work that captured our day and personalities!!!

Excellent photographer - the best in the Bahamas!

Mario took our family pictures when we were visiting the Atlantis 7 years ago from Pennsylvania. The pictures he took were perfect! I printed many of them and still have them hanging on walls and in frames. Sadly, the flash drive I saved all of the pictures on was thrown away. On a whim, I emailed Mario and asked if he still had access to them. Without hesitation, he emailed me right back and said it was no problem at all and that he keeps a back up in his archive. Within minutes he sent me all of the priceless pictures that I thought were gone forever. He is not only a fantastic photographer, he is a fantastic person.

BEST Experience of our Wedding Planning

I found Mario Nixon through internet search for Atlantis photographer and loved his photos online. He was reasonably priced and wonderful to work with! He was super responsive whenever we emailed for months before the wedding and had a planning call, as well as met in person a few days before the wedding at the beach area so we could finalize what I wanted. He was VERY accommodating and so easy and gracious to work with. And he made our wedding day so fun and great for all our guests and us! Everyone commented how nice and great he was. We received our photos timely online and they were fantastic!! We were very sweaty from the heat/humidity (he never complained although he had to be miserable!), and he edited out all the guys sweat stains - made the pics look so good! I loved every moment of working with Mario, and highly recommend him!!

Bahamas wedding

Mario was so great to work with! He knew what to do and we went with the flow of things. I had changed my times for him a couple times and he was so accommodating with those times and making it work! The reviews that I’ve received are so beautiful too!

My main concern for my last minute surprise wedding was that I have super awesome photos, and Mario delivered! I had special request with a limited amount of time and Mario was there when I arrived and delivered!.. He has a great eye, so easy to work with, pleasant and very professional.

Mario is absolutley amazing and we are very happy with him. He listened to everything we wanted, was fun and creative, and an overall pleasure to work with. He was very patient and was happy to stay an extra 30 minutes. I can't believe the time flew by so fast, but I know Mario captured our special day perfectly and I cant wait to see the final shots!

After a lot of reach we hired Mario for our anniversary photo shoot while
Mario was great to work with, & was flexible for time, date & where we meet.

Mario was wonderful to work with. He was always very responsive to my emails and provided us with a great price for his services, especially since he had to travel to Cat Island. Mario was very friendly and professional. Our wedding was small and the day's events were fairly laid back but Mario was extremely flexible. The pictures we got back are absolutely gorgeous and we are so happy we chose Mario to capture our special day!

Mario is amazing!!! My husband and I got married in the pouring rain at The Cloisters at the One & Only, and Mario got amazing shots of us in the rain. He was super responsive throughout the whole process. Booking a destination wedding is difficult because you never get to meet your vendors before the big day. I never felt like I had to worry with Mario. His photos are beautiful and his personality is perfect! Everyone loved working with him. Due to the weather, the schedule got all messed up and Mario was extra flexible throughout the day to accomodate our needs. I highly recommend Mario Nixon Photography. My husband and I plan to return to Cloisters in the near future to have a photoshoot for our anniversary. We are definitely going to book Mario for this. He does not disappoint.

If you are able to book with Mario Nixon consider yourself very lucky! I was able to book him for my wedding in July, and he exceeded all of our expectations in all areas. Mario is passionate about capturing every moment of your special day. This is evident with his high energy and on the spot creatively. So many guests told me I was so lucky to have such a dedicated photographer who didn't miss a beat! I also appreciate his flexibility, once I was down in the Bahamas (2 days before the wedding) I asked for an extra hour in which Mario said yes to. Furthermore, the turn around time for my pictures was super quick! I absolutely love all of my pictures and am so happy with my overall experience! Mario was a pleasure to work with! Highly recommend Mario Nixon photography!

I can't say enough good things about Mario!! Before the wedding, he worked great with us in getting ready (we were traveling from the US to the Bahamas). Day of, he was flexible (we were a bit late in getting ready), and was very comfortable to work with. He was professional, yet still fun and relaxed. During the ceremony, he got all the right pictures, but I honestly never noticed him being there. After, we evaded the rain and got beautiful pictures on the beach. He was efficient with picture taking, and we got all the ones we were hoping in no time at all! The pictures were back in a reasonable turn-around time, and they turned out stunning!! I was surprised, impressed, and overjoyed at how perfect they turned out! For anyone traveling to the Bahamas (or in the Bahamas) and looking for a reliable, fun, and professional photographer, I can't recommend Mario enough!

Mario exceeded all of our expectations by leaps and bounds! From our very first e-mail to communications after the wedding he has always responded to all questions, promptly, professionally and with good humor. He was also absolutely wonderful to work with in person! Somehow , he managed to disappear into the crowd but was always ready to unobtrusively snap a photo when a great moment popped up or a group of guests asked for shot. Throughout the night several people told us that they wish they'd had him for their weddings! We liked him so much, that if he weren't already our photographer, we would have loved to have him at the wedding as a guest!

As far as his skills as a photographer go, his portfolio more than speaks for itself. We absolutely love our photos and how he managed to capture not only shots incorporating the beauty of the island but also our hapiness and love for each other! We're amazed at how vibrant they are and I can't imagine any way to more completely capture the feel of ceremony and evening. Whenever we look back at them in the years to come, they'll instantly take us back to how it felt to be newly married and celebrating with our friends and family!

If you're considering Mario for your event absolutely hire him, you simply won't find anyone better!

Mario was absolutely amazing. He took our engagement pictures the year before and we had such a great time working with him. Mario was such a pleasure to work with during our wedding, we absolutely love how our photos came out. Everyone who has seen them has been in awe at how beautiful they are. I have heard over and over that they are the best wedding photos anyone has seen yet. People can see in our photos how much fun my husband and I were having and can see how in love we are. Mario brought that all out in his photos. Very impressed with everything. Anytime I emailed Mario he got right back to me. We received our discs only a few weeks after the wedding and I was able to look at the proofs through his site within two weeks which was great!
I would highly recommend Mario to anyone who is looking for a great photographer. I was very picky about who we hired and did a lot of research prior to finding him and I am so happy we ended up hired him.

Mario was professional and always willing to accommodate all our requests while at the same time provided his expertise. We felt very comfortable with his friendly attitude which definitely helped when it came time to taking photographs. We ran an extra hour late and Mario was more flexible in staying.

Post production of photographs were quickly posted on a website while awaiting the physical delivery of the digital prints.

Overall it was a great experience and we'd highly recommend Mario's wedding photography services!

If we could give Mario higher than 5 stars we would in an instant. Our wedding day was a dream come true and Mario beautifully captured every moment!
Mario was super helpful every step of the way. We do not live in Nassau (we are from NYC) and during my planning process Mario was always available for a chat or a string of emails. He made me feel confident in him from the beginning without even meeting in person. I do not like to have my picture taken and was a fairly nervous bride about that. Mario was able to quell my nerves and our shots are amazing. The photos are stunning - I cannot stop looking at them. The night we received our disk of images I was mesmerized. Each shot was trumped by the next. Our wedding album will be a tome of every shot he took that day because it's too hard to choose the "best" ones.
Mario caught private, intimate moments of beauty. He was able to get amazing shots of my nephews (ages 2 & 4) that are so stunning you would think that he actually got them to hold still. The photos of our guests at the reception are magically fun. He was able to capture fun moments and crazy dancing shots that perfectly sum up what a great day it was. In addition our reception venue was perfectly mood lit - but it was dark. If you could see our pictures you would think the venue was very bright - but his flash was not intrusive at all! Actually, some of our guests (when they saw the pictures) said they didn't even remember him being there to take that shot. Not that you want to loose Mario (he's super fun & funny) but I think it's important that the photographer blends in and becomes a part of the surrounding and can just get the essence of your event. And that is exactly what he did.
Wedding photos are mementos that are to be treasured forever. I truly cannot express how much I love our wedding photos. I would recommend Mario Nixon to anyone who asks and am forever grateful that he was there on our special day.

I am a photograph enthusiast! I love pictures and find that they are such meaningful and artistic forms of capturing memories. With that being said, choosing a perfect wedding photographer was of my highest priority. After many long hours of searching for the right photographer, my husband and I chose Mario Nixon. We really loved his work seen through his web page. After establishing lines of communication, we knew that Mario was the right choice for us. As many vendors in the Bahamas seemed to operate on "Island Time," Mario was an appreciated exception. He always was very prompt in his responses and communicated effectively and efficiently. On our big day, he arrived on time and was ready to go. He demonstrated a laid-back, fun, personable, and friendly demeanor and was very flexible working with us, our wedding party, and guests. Once we received our photos, we were overly excited. Mario captured timeless, gorgeous, unique moments that we truly enjoy over and over again! We couldn't be happier with the beautiful gift of these amazing images! So many of our friends asked if Mario worked in the US, as they wanted him as their wedding photographer as well. A huge thanks goes out to Mario- he is amazing at what he does, and we would recommend him to anyone seeking a fantastic photographer!

Mario is an excellent photographer. He is very professional, nice and easy to get along with. All of our guests liked him, and our pictures turned out great. We couldn't take many pictures on the beach on our wedding day because it rained, so he spent an extra hour with us taking photos on the beach before we left the island. Highly recommended and his rates are very reasonable. Loved our photos!!!

This review is almost a year overdue....
When my husband and I decided to get married in the Bahamas, the one thing I knew I wanted was a stellar photographer to capture the day, and that was exactly what we got with Mario.
We live in Canada and the idea of planning my entire wedding online didn't give me the warm and fuzzies, but since our first e-mail communication, Mario made me feel completely at ease. He was incredibly responsive to all questions.
The day of the wedding, we changed our wedding time from 5:00pm tjo 6:00pm and I was concerned that that would be an issue; however, Mario assured me that it was no problem and that everything would turn out great.
From the moment I met him in person, I knew that my husband and I had made the right choice. He was not only incredibly professional, but he had this way of capturing not only the posed shots, but many raw emotions through candid shots as well.
After we got home, it did not take us long at all to receive the CD with all of our pics on them. He included both high and low resolution files which was great for both sharing pics with my family online and printing photobooks.
Through his incredible work, I am able to relive the most amazing day of my life, any day I choose.
Whoever needs a photographer in the Bahamas would be crazy not to hire Mario. He is hands down, the best photographer in the Bahamas! :)

We were married at the Cloister, Paradise Island in the Bahamas. We chose Mario for his quality and good value. Mario knew the venue well and took some fabulous photos! He was very friendly yet professional and we had a good rapport which was great. We also had an engagement shoot with Mario at our hotel (Atlantis Resort) which was fab and we would definitely recommend.

Mario is, hands down, AMAZING! I wouldn't even second guess yourself if your considering Mario for a photographer in the Bahamas. He was so knowledgeable with great picture locations, ideas, etc. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't glance at at least one wedding picture and I'm filled with joy every time I see his work.

Mario was truly a blessing on my big day! There was a threat of rain during the time of my ceremony and reception, so I was beginning to stress out just about the time that Mario showed up at my room to begin taking photos-lucky him! As soon as Mario walked in, his positive and upbeat attitude helped me to start focusing on the task-at-hand, and we dove right in to taking pictures after he and I had a brief heart-to-heart about the weather situation and what he thought would be best based on his previous wedding experiences. Mario offered his honest opinion when I asked for his advice, and that was something I truly appreciated as I am originally from Pennsylvania and had no clue about Bahamas weather!

In terms of the photography process, Mario helped make everyone feel at ease throughout the entire day, and he made sure to keep everything light and fun. My 82 year-old Grammy was even having fun posing for pictures! He captured a wide variety of photos including accessories, backgrounds and details, bridal party, guests, and of course the bride and groom! Every photo was beautiful and unique, and we loved each and every one. He was extremely creative in capturing different poses and settings, and he was a great addition to our day. Mario was also a wonderful guest at our wedding, and he fit right in with our friends and families during the reception. He was so well-liked, that he even made a few of the photos : )

Overall, Mario Nixon did a fantastic job on our wedding day, and we couldn't be happier to recommend him to any bride and groom fortunate enough to be getting married in the Bahamas! Mario will make a wonderful photographer and friend on your wedding day : )

Mario Nixon is an excellent photographer and somewhat of a perfectionist when it comes to his pictures. You can tell that he is very dedicated by the quality and variety of his work.

We were married at the Atlantis Resort on Paradise Island in the Bahamas and the pictures came out beautifully. We also were able to schedule some additional time with Mario for the day after the wedding in order to get more pictures just dedicated to us as newlyweds. Mario knows the resort very well and knew all the best places to get the most beautiful pictures.

Mario did a great job taking photos at our wedding. He was responsive before and after the wedding. We had a large group that was a bit tough to handle, but he kept everyone in line and got nice photos. Also a great value!

Working with Mario was amazing! He was extremely responsive via email which made communication great especially from another country! I was beyond pleased with every aspect. His work is breath taking. My pictures turned out better than I could of hoped for! A year later and I am still looking at them in ah! His prices were also very reasonable, he even came back to my hotel to bring me the CD of the photos! You will not be disappointed with your experience or your photos with Mario Nixon Photography!

There are not enough words for me to describe the value of Mario's service to us. Firstly, let me start by saying that I was a travel agent in Toronto, Canada, when I planned MY destination wedding in the Bahamas, in July 2011. I came across Mario's work on-line and saw that he had a great eye for group shots and for capturing intimate moments and emotions....which were both key for me because if all else failed on the wedding day, (and it almost did), what I wanted more than anything were amazing pictures to capture the beauty of the day and the Bahamas...and Mario nailed it!!

He was on time, he was professional, his pricing was fair (worth every dime) and he was so pleasant to work with. One thing I loved was that he almost disappeared into the crowd, so he didn't get in the way of others wanting to take pictures, but didn't miss a beat either. He's truly gifted and anointed and I would recommend him to anyone!!

Sadly, in October, just 2 months after the wedding, my father was diagnosed with cancer, and passed away shortly after in February, and so those last pictures of my dad mean so much more to us. We now have these amazing pictures that have become precious memories that we truly treasure and are grateful to Mario for. He captured, what my father said was, the happiest day of his life and because they were some of the BEST pictures my dad ever took, we used many of them for his funeral.

So dearest Mario, from the bottom of our hearts, thank you for putting your heart and soul into your work and may God continue to bless you, always!! :)

I am so happy that I chose Mario Nixon Photography for many reasons. First, I was not able to meet Mario prior to the day of the wedding; therefore, I made my decision by reviewing his work on his very helpful blog. The transaction was very easy. Throughout the entire process, I was in constant contact with Mario. We meet Mario the day of the wedding and was very happy with his professionalism. In the end, I was more than happy with his work. I absolutely love the pictures and his unique ability to capture the most important day of my life.

Mario Nixon is one of the few professional photographer's that actually bring apart of them into each shot. He has an eye for a good shot and he brings out the side of you you never knew you had. He is patient with you and is open to new idea's, which in my case was a PLUS. Keep up the creative work Mario and I wish you much success.

We just loved Mario and would highly recommend him!!! The ONLY issue we had was communication issues was because we had a destination wedding and had to communicate via email.
