Amazing food and incredible experience!

Totally Cooked was probably the best decision we made throughout our wedding planning process. Not only is the food amazing but the execution was beyond what I expected. We booked Totally Cooked probably a year and a half in advance, and although there was some turnover I never felt like the communication was lacking or that they were not prepared for our day. In fact, we had a number of communication/planning issues with our venue that left me feeling extremely stressed, and Totally Cooked made sure I knew we were in good hands. Our planning meeting with the venue ended up being double booked on the same day as another event, and the venue contact was a no show - but Paige from Totally Cooked just rolled with the punches and told me more than once "we've got you" and I didn't doubt it for a minute. I even sent her an email super late the night before our wedding with some updates/issues we ran into and she responded within two minutes and told me to rest assured that they would take care of everything and they 100% did. Thing I didn't even think to tell the team were taken care of like they had read my mind. The entire team that was there was so attentive and such a joy to talk to that I would 100% recommend Totally Cooked to anyone wanting amazing food and a stress free wedding!

Outstanding Service and Great Food

Totally Cooked was by far the most responsive and helpful vendor we dealt with on our wedding day. From the get-go our event coordinator Kennedy was extremely responsive and super helpful. I don’t think there was a time when an email went more than 2-3 hours without a response and the response was very clear and detailed. The team on site went above and beyond contracted duties to help out, and it was greatly appreciated. From helping to set up centerpieces and final table arrangements to helping with replenishing our dessert and s’more station, they were always willing to be an extra set of hands. The lead server Nicole was very attentive and continually checked in with me and my wife if we had any needs or things that she could get for us during the reception. It truly helped to make sure we were taken care of while we had so many other things taking our attention. The remainder of the staff was also wonderful. We have had several guests comment on the bartending service that they were extremely personable and helpful in making drink suggestions and keeping the flow of the line moving. Finally the food was just outstanding. Nearly every guest we have talked to since has brought up the food, and they all seemed to have a different favorite station which is a testament to how good each of them truly was.

They did a great job!

They gave us a good selection of food and very prompt with service. Very prepared and great customer service. They also went above that to help with a few things that were not connected to catering. Very pleased!

Brunch Reception

My husband and I love breakfast food, and we were so excited to host a brunch reception featuring all of our favorites! Marigold prepared a brunch buffet catered to our tastes and the dietary needs of our guests. There were a few changes in staffing throughout the planning process (we worked with three different people from beginning to end), yet we experienced no interruption in the planning or communication. We were impressed because everything went so smoothly despite the changes. We initially selected Marigold because of their efficient communication compared to other companies, and given the changes that happened we were so glad we made that choice. Marigold is worth the investment because you will receive quality service in return. Our guests enjoyed the unique menu, and we were happy to work with a caterer that was as excited about brunch as we were (are)!

The BEST customer service!

Kennedy is an incredible asset to the Totally Cooked team. We have been speaking with her for quite some time as we've been deciding on a wedding caterer. I cannot stress enough how amazing she was through the entire process -- helping us think through options, make decisions, drawing up budgets, and more. I would not hesitate to hire this vendor if you're considering them. From everything I can tell, they are trustworthy and helpful!

Effortless

We hired Totally Cooked for our outdoor reception. They took care of the entire catering, setup, decoration, seating, and cleanup. They were professional and discreet, providing a casual and efficient dining experience for our guests. They were understanding of our needs and the presence of pets during the event. We would and have recommended them without reservation for both casual events like ours or more formal events.

Unbelievable Food, Professional Planning, Upscale Dinner Service!

I’m very tardy in writing this well overdue review – My husband and I were married in September 2017, but it still feels like yesterday, thanks in part to Marigold! Heather was our main contact at Marigold and she was a rock star with the coordination and execution of everything! Their tasting experience was so much fun for my family and their chefs are INCREDIBLE!!! They were willing to customize parts of our meal selection, even adding a pasta course and creating unique dishes that were delicious! Heather took on so much for us in the planning phase including ordering the correct table sizes, finding the perfect serving vessels that went with our theme, meeting with us multiple times upon our request, doing and re-doing floor plans, coordinating details with our venue contact, planning deliveries with our bakery, and all the other behind-the-scenes tasks that I’m sure I’m not even aware of. On site the day before the ceremony, the Marigold staff was incredible. They worked so efficiently and had the room set exactly the way we planned and pictured it. We received so many compliments on the serving staff and the service was so incredibly smooth – Their professionalism made the dinner feel very upscale! We received INCREDIBLE feedback from friends and family on the quality of their food, which is a big deal from a big group of food-critical Italians! I would very highly recommend Marigold for any catering need!

The entire process of working with Marigold was fantastic. Katie was our event planner and she was incredibly professional, kind, enthusiastic, and reassuring. All of the food served at our wedding was hot, fresh, and on time. Katie and all of the servers were organized and efficient with both the passed hors d'oeuvres and our buffet. They were also incredibly caring and went the extra mile. My husband and I didn't have a lot of chances to eat hors d'oeuvres during the cocktail hour, but the lead waitress, Brenda, left us two plates of hors d'oeuvres at our seats at our head table. She also made sure we got slices of our cake since we were on our dance floor while it was served, and she brought both of us water throughout the night. They even boxed extra meals and delivered them to our bridal suite! And the food is delicious; everyone's plate was clean at the end of dinner! So many of our guests told us we had the best food of any wedding they've been to. Our experience with Marigold left us full, happy, and stress free!

Totally Cooked was the best! The food was great, the workers were awesome, I had no hiccups the whole night! They packed up all of the left over food for us. They even contacted the cake business to find out when they were coming in. I do highly recommend them, Sarah was the best!

We chose Glidden House for our venue and thankfully Marigold is their caterer. The food was amazing and they were very accommodating. Our contact happened to be on maternity leave up until a week before our wedding. That made for some tight squeezing in of finalizing the wedding and put preparations back. Thankfully the tasting and arrangements had been made earlier in the year, so we only needed to settle on final information and choices. Make sure you, the caterer contact, and the venue are on all on the same page when it comes to timing of the evening. We had a last minute surprise when our venue told us they only offer 5 hours and we had scheduled 6 with Marigold! The staff and chefs made our reception dinner a truly great experience and we could not have asked for more (or better!).

Food was OUTSTANDING!!!! They offered a tasting prior to the event that allowed us to personalize our selections. They offer a wide variety of choices and Katie Korte is absolutely amazing to work with. We had our wedding at Glidden House and both work very well together. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!

We worked with Sara from Totally Cooked and only have wonderful things to say of her and the other Totally Cooked staff. We had a barbecue/Southern food type feel at a winery. Sara answered every question promptly and kept us up to date every step of the way on pricing and other needs. She was in charge of ordering tables/chairs/silverware/linens for our reception and there were no issues at all! I cannot explain how flexible Totally Cooked is--if you have an idea or suggestion, they will accommodate it or offer more options. There were many times Sara stood up for us and our decisions when slight issues arose with our venue such as providing lemonade and s'mores. She was respectful of the venue coordinator but also stood behind our choices and lack of information given by the venue of what vendor was providing what for the reception. I think it takes a special person to maintain professionalism and tactfully negotiate between two sides for a positive and pain-free resolution. The afternoon before the wedding I mentioned wanting something different for the cake table other than a plain white linen and Sara came up with lace fabric to loosely drape and capture the feel....no extra charge. This doesn't even begin to cover the taste of the food which was incredible. We had barbecued pulled pork with several different sauce choices, grilled chicken, grilled fresh vegetables, mac and cheese, and their amazing potato salad. We also utilized their cheese/fruit display for cocktail hour and brought our own h'orderves, and also had their s'mores and lemonade. Their food tasted incredible and captured the Savannah garden theme that we wanted. We will be placing an order for lunch in the future to relive some of our wedding food because we didn't get enough chance to enjoy it on the day! Please check out this vendor.... Great food, wonderful staff, reasonable prices, THE BEST!!

Sara and her team were amazing from the first email contact to the last fork in place - everything was made simple for me, they were easy to deal with and it was done to perfection. Every email was answered promptly and the service day of was phenomenal. Now let's talk about the food - it was delicious, innovative and the talk of the reception, our guests were blown away by how good it was. We ordered the strawberry salad, pork tenderloin with both sauces and chicken romano with smoked gouda mac and cheese and veggies. We also had a coffee bar. EVERYTHING was fantastic. I wish i could eat the meal again! The catering was the easiest part of my wedding planning thanks to Sara and Totally Cooked. I can't wait to use them again.

First let me say that weeks after our wedding people are still talking about the food!!! By far the best wedding gown food I have ever had. If you are looking for a team who is unique and friendly, one who will work outside of the box..... Then your search has ended. Book them now. Ask for Kristin. She's amazing. Oh yeah and give the pretzel bar a shot. It's a hit!!

We worked with Sara from Totally Cooked. In addition to all of the food, drinks and appetizers, we were able to also get all linens, tables, chairs, etc...through them. Their prices were reasonable and they were easy to work with. Everything seemed to run smooth at our reception even with set backs due to the weather.

Sara and the entire Totally Cooked staff could not have been more helpful, more friendly or more professional. Every aspect of our interaction with them from the first time I called until the post-wedding follow-up were a positive experience. They helped us plan nearly every detail of the wedding reception+ And if you want amazing food, this is definitely the place to go. Especially when you look at the better than competitive pricing. Their experience and expertise made the day enjoyable and smooth for all the participants and guests which is no small task in weddings! Do not look anywhere else but Totally Cooked Catering!! They were AMAZING!
We changed the venue, no problem. We changed the time, no problem. We had a very casual open event with food stations. The selection and menu that Kristin helped us create was UNBELIEVABLE! Our guests still talk about the food, and rarely do people talk about the food served at a wedding, because it usually is mediocre at best. They traveled almost 2 hours each way to service us!
They were so prompt, efficient and professional. One guest told me they saw Kristin "fanning" the antipasto table to keep random flys away, (the event was outside as well as indoors). Who does that?? The BEST people, that's who!!
DO NOT GO ANYWHERE ELSE!!! Totally cooked is Totally the way to go!!!!

Kristin yoho and her team at totally cooked knocked it out of the park for our wedding at Happy Days Lodge. We couldn't have asked for a better day. We had multiple meetings with Kristin and every meeting made john and I more relaxed about the wedding. The totally cooked staff made sure everything down to the decor was just how we had dreamt it. The food was amazing (beef brisket!!!!-the fave. chicken piccata mash potatoes and green beans ). Kristin helped us with our carnival themed cocktail hour where we had alcohol snow cones, flavored popcorn station, mini gyros and sausage and pepper skewers. It was super cute. But most of all it was the way they treated our guests, our family & friends. We noticed from our seats that they served elderly family members not able to go to the buffet when noticed and heard so many compliment for them from the guests on how wonderful they were. We would recommend Kristin and her staff to anyone and everyone planning a wedding. When people say you should feel like a guest at your own wedding, Kristin & the totally cooked actually make that happen !

My husband and I decided to have Totally Cooked cater our wedding after we met with Sara. She could not have been more helpful to us in putting together an appetizer and dinner menu that fit our personalities and venue.
Sara was fantastic throughout the whole process and was very prompt with any and all communication.
On the day of the wedding, everything went smoothly and Sara and the rest of the Totally Cooked staff were amazing! Food and beverage was awaiting our guests immediately after the ceremony. The appetizers and crudités were displayed in a very elegant manner. A member of the staff even brought a plate of appetizers to myself and my husband (without evening asking) while we were taking pictures.
Dinner was absolutely fantastic! We had 3 separate food stations; which included a pasta bar, an Asian station with sushi, lettuce wraps, and summer rolls, and a Southern station with a grits bar and pulled pork sliders. We have honestly lost count of the compliments we received about the food. The staff worked as hard as possible in getting our guests through the food line in an efficient manner. The bartenders were very polite and worked very hard to make sure our guests were well stocked with their drink of choice!
From top to bottom, Totally Cooked came through in all areas, leaving us very happy with our choice of caterers. When you think about it, food and everything that goes along with it (beverage, appetizers, linens, etc.) are one of, if not the, most important thing about a wedding. Sara and her staff at Totally Cooked completely took the pressure off and came through for an amazing day. I would not hesitate to recommend Totally Cooked to anyone for their catering needs!

Totally Cooked was an amazing catering vendor for our wedding. We were constantly impressed with their level of service. First, we have several vegetarians in the family so we asked about their vegetarian options and they gave us a really long list of veggie menu items that all sounded so good. We selected a few for our tasting and we were really impressed. We really liked the variety of food they offered and everything sounded really gourmet and tasty! We ended up having a mac n cheese bar, slider bar (with a hamburger and veggie patty option) and the pretzel crusted walleye. Everything was so good, but the mac n cheese and walleye were far and away the best. So many guests commented that it's the best food they've ever had at a wedding.
On top of the quality of the food, the catering manager was so helpful and easy to work with. She was always willing to accommodate any idea or request we had along the way from the food options to venue layout to moving the bar from one location for the rehearsal dinner to another for the reception. We were able to order all of our chair, table, and linen rentals through them and the cost seemed very reasonable. I can't say enough good things about our experience with Totally Cooked.

Not your average wedding food. Kristin and her team were amazing! She went above and beyond. Very unique and beatiful presentation. If you have a vision for your day she will make it happen. She brought my bacon bar, bbq, mac & cheese bar, lemondade stand to life. Simply gorgeous.
Many of our quests commented that it was the "best wedding food they ever had."
Awseome staff, accommodating, reliable, kind, and talented.
Would HIGHLY reccommend, our favorite vendor that we worked with. Thanks for everything, you made it perfect.

From our first call with Kristin, to the "last call" on our wedding night totally cooked went above and beyond our expectations. The food was fantastic, the service was just as good. I had multiple family members and friends mention how much they loved the food and service as well. Kristin and her staff are fantastic to work with, they interacted with our guests and made everyone feel very welcome. Our bartender was great, she had an awesome personality and got a long with everyone. I would highly recommend calling them for any event in which you would need a caterer. They are very professional, reliable and personable and are great at what they do. Totally Cooked made our special night that much more special. Totally Cooked did AWESOME at my outdoor Barn wedding! They were there ready to do more things than just catering. They did tables, lit candles, got the bartender food, and even sat with me before I walked down the isle, fanning me with whatever they could find! All of the staff, event coordinator down to table waiters were wonderful! I would suggest them for any even!

We would recommend Marigold Catering to anyone with catering needs, especially a wedding! We worked with Katie Korte and our venue was the Ballroom at Park Lane. Katie worked closely with Sara at Park Lane and the two of them made absolutely everything easier for us. Our tasting provided a chance to tweak the menu and my husband got a chance to talk to their chef personally (chef to chef). We made a few other last minute changes and Marigold handled it all with ease. The food was delicious, our guests LOVED everything. Katie worked with our baker to set up the dessert table, worked with the bar staff to make sure we had everything we needed and helped set up and tear down so we didn't have to worry about a thing. The price was reasonable for the service and the quality of the food. I have zero complaints, I wish I could have them cook me dinner every night!

We were fortunate to have Marigold Catering as the exclusive caterer offered by Severance Hall, which we were informed of on our initial site visit. In reviewing the materials provided, we were quite impressed with what Marigold had to offer and looked forward to working with them to plan the menu for our wedding.
If I could give Vicki Hlousek (Severance Hall is her venue) TEN stars I would - she was AWESOME! Dealing with a stressed out, stretched thin, relatively indifferent bride must be quite difficult, but Vicki always made me feel like I wasn't a pain in the rear (although I'm sure I was). She was professional from our first conversation and when we finally met her for our tasting, we knew that we had a great person to work with. She managed expectations up front and worked with the chefs to accommodate our requests for a multi-ethnic cuisine. Vicki also served as our day-of coordinator and it was a huge help to have someone who knows the venue so well.
The food from Marigold is hands down some of the best reception food I've ever eaten. I love that they use locally sourced, seasonal items and they plan ahead to give you an idea of what to expect for when your event is scheduled. Everything we tasted was delicious and we actually had a difficult time narrowing down our choices for both cocktail hour and the reception. After the ceremony, our pictures took a little long, which led to the cocktail hour being extended, which led to dinner being served later than anticipated...so some guests received cold salmon. But overall, the guests really enjoyed their food and were very complimentary of their apps, salads and entrees.
If you have the opportunity to book Marigold on your own, definitely consider them. They work with all budgets and were very open being creative/flexible with menu planning. If the venue that you select uses Marigold exclusively, that's just an added bonus for you.

Marigold is a little more expensive but worth every penny. The food was amazing, hot, and tasty. The staff worked closely with me to get every detail perfect. None of my guests left hungry even those with special diets and religious restrictions. Several guests asked me for their name after the wedding for their up coming events.

We utilized Marigold for catering our wedding. Our wedding was vintage carnival themed - during cocktail hour we had mini funnel cake sticks and mini grilled cheese sandwiches with tomato soup as appetizers! For dinner, we had stations including sliders, french fries, nachos, fried chicken, and more! Dessert included a massive brownie bar. Everyone said the food was amazing and it definitely helped make our theme come together! The staff of Marigold were extremely professional and helpful. They even guarded my water while I hit the dance floor! I couldn't have asked for better service.

Working with Marigold Catering was an amazing experience. We worked with Gitta and Amber for our reception and we couldn't have asked for better service, food and more. Vegan Wedding Menu

Totally Cook’s chef and coordinator Chelsea treated us very well while planning our menu. We wanted a mostly vegan menu and offered suggestions for the appetizers, entree and dessert. They accommodated our requests and produced very delicious options, which included: BBQ tempeh, vegan spinach and artichoke dip, Vegan Mac and Cheese with a variety of toppings, roasted root vegetables, salad, vegan blueberry pie and vegan chocolate cake. The total price also included a coffee station, chairs for our ceremony, place settings, linens and Totally Cooked staff.

We loved Marigold! We loved MOCA as the venue! Our event manager helped us plan the perfect wedding, down to the smallest detail. The food was amazing and our donut wall turned out great!

Great experience with Totally Cooked

We had a mid-afternoon wedding, so went with Totally Cooked's heavy hors d'oeuvres package. I drove myself crazy for weeks wondering if it would be enough food or if people would like that we just had small bites, and it turned out to be perfect! We got so many compliments on the food. A big thanks to Catherine at Totally Cooked who is so helpful, professional, and prompt. I'd highly recommend them!

Sara and the Totally Cooked staff were absolutely amazing! They took care of every detail for us, from decorating the venue to setting up the dessert and tearing down at the end of the night. They made our wedding completely stress and worry-free. All of the staff were so friendly! And our guests could not tell us enough how much they loved the food! Definitely a wonderful choice, we were so happy with them! Would choose them again a million times over.

Totally Cooked was amazing to work with!! Kristin was our right hand gal throughout the entire process. She was always open for communication and suggestions. She made the entire process easy for us. The food was amazing!!

It was a pleasure working with Katie at Marigold. She was flexible and always willing to work with us. The reception turned out beautiful and the food was good. My only complaint is pricing. It is not the biggest bang for your buck but they did give us all the left over food. Which makes you feel a little better :-) We chose the 3901 Marigold location and received many compliments on the venue and reception experience as a whole. The staff were great and very attentive to the head table and guest alike.

We really liked the food that we selected from the very vast menu Marigold had to offer. The only problem we had was a few menu items under went minor changes in the kitchen and we were not informed. Fortunately these changes were for the better but, that was just blind luck. The service was very professional and the presentation quality exceptional. There was some difficulty initially dealing with them but in the end they pulled through.

Delicious food and great team - Kristin really knows her stuff! Cost is still rather pricey, even though Totally Cooked is on the lower end compared to many caterers in the area.

EDITED: The team was WONDERFUL on our wedding day. The power unfortunately went out during our reception, but the team helped pack up all our decorations in the dark and also offered a refund for the lost time, which was pleasantly unexpected! The food was fantastic as well. Thank you!

Delicious food, and the set-up was perfectly rustic to go with the venue. They worked with us to come up with a menu that we liked, and suggested a Bacon Bar for cocktail hour, which was a huge hit. We went back and forth several times to get the price where we wanted it. Kristin was very professional and thorough!

What I liked best about this caterer is that they will do as much or as little as you want (and can afford). We ordered an entire roasted pig to be delivered to the reception carved and ready to serve. They were on time, the food was delicious, and we were able to extend our budget by preparing our own side dishes. Highly recommended!!

We had a very good experience with Totally Cooked. The food was delicious, and the staff was attentive and professional. The only reason that the Quality of Service score is 3.5 instead of 5 stars is that TC neglected to prepare the two gluten-free entrees that we had requested for guests with gluten allergies. However, the catering staff and the chef were very attentive to the fact that we had a guest with a peanut allergy, which was much appreciated. Other than that one oversight, it was a very good experience.

Everything was going smoothly until about halfway through dinner service. We had a buffet setup and people seemed like they were getting enough food. However my mom informed me that the roasted vegetable platter was empty and they were running out of the chicken. Not good. They assured us that there would be plenty of food.

Also, at the tasting we tried the chicken Florentine, a chicken breast stuffed with spinach and cheese. It was delicious. Our event planner told us they would cut the breasts in half so it will go further. However, at the reception the chicken turned out to be small chunks of chicken floating in a soupy green sauce. We were not happy that they changed this without informing us.

Because of this they agreed to take a little off the final bill.

After all was said and done the cost per person was that same as if I had taken everyone to a Hibachi restaurant. You'd figure buying and serving a lot of food at once would make the cost go down not up.

Stressful to work with

Horrible customer service. The food was good, but she forgot our plate warmers. She claims we never talked about it, but I have the emails to prove we do. Also very hard to get a hold of the day before the wedding. We showed up to the venue and things were not set up correctly. I called and called and called to no answer. Tried to call the office and still nothing. We ended up moving everything ourselves. We paid upfront for 100 guests, but ended up having 80. Catherine said she would give us some money back for having a lesser guest count. It has been 4 weeks and nothing. She claims they sent out 2 different checks, but still nothing. Very unprofessional. Will never recommend. Ruined our whole day. By the way, still waiting on our check.

We worked with Kristin for our October wedding. We had mixed feelings about it. There was a lack in communication for awhile. I told my husband of the problems I was having and he reached out someone else within the company. I got an immediate response from kristin after that. During the process we added and took off items and services from the original estimate. When I asked for a revised one it was over $1,000 more than anticipated. When I asked about it, they immediately revised the estimate and said it was an error. That left me with a bad taste in my mouth. What if i hadn't noticed? Also, I had talked to kristin the entire time leading up my wedding but she was no where to be found starting the day before the wedding.

We spent over $12,000 in total for the catering services... I expected a lot more service for my money.
