If you are looking for a photographer for your wedding I HIGHLY recommend Mariah! She was very easy to communicate with leading up to my wedding and made everything super easy. Me and my now husband haven’t ever experienced being professionally photographed and were kind of nervous but she made us feel so comfortable and captured us and our day so beautifully! I could not recommend Mariah more! -

Beyond expectations
Mariah was absolutely phenomenal. She felt like an old friend that we just picked up with. Her and her husband made my wedding so fun, the guys still talk about hanging with her husband to this day! She made my dark and dreamy photo dreams come true. I can never recommend her enough! -

Mariah is QUEEN!!! After having some bumps in the road with our photography vendor, Mariah quickly stepped up! Although we knew that this precious lady would be having her firstborn near our wedding date, we called in a favor! Although she was on maternity leave, she had one of her favorite contacts shoot out day and Mariah sent us our final edits in less than a week!
And not only that…. She showed up to our wedding anyway! Almost 40 weeks pregnant and she still went out of her way to show her love!
She is extremely organized, amazing to work with, and her eye is unrealistic! I could recommend her enough! -

Mariah is AMAZING. She understands and knows exactly what you want and makes it 1000 times better! We used her for both engagement shoot and wedding day. She is extremely organized and her platforms are easy to view and easy to navigate. She is just such a friendly and loving person to get know to know. She was so fun to work with and makes you feel so comfortable. I found her through social media when I noticed people in the area with these wedding and engagement photos that had a specific aesthetic and I thought, wow this is so cool and artsy and beautiful. I want that. So I found her, and now I have my own beautiful photos to look back on and can’t stop viewing them everyday! All of the wedding party and guests loved the photos and thought every photo should be in a magazine! It’s so hard to pick a favorite, all turned out SO GOOD. Also, she gives you a bunch of sneak peeks the next day and the full gallery about 3 weeks later. So fast!! I will definitely be using Mariah again for future photoshoots. -

We knew when we first saw Mariah’s photography work that she was the one we wanted for our engagement and wedding. However, what we weren't ready for was the personalization, attention to detail, and comfortability we would be met with. Whether it was feeling like friends from the moment we met her, playing our favorite artists through a speaker without being asked, or getting people engaged on the dance floor...she went above and beyond making this an incredible day. BEST decision ever!!
Gosh where do I even start?!
Mariah was the best photographer, she exceeded ALL of our expectations! She had the first small batch of pictures to us the very next day (on a Sunday!!) and had our whole gallery ready in 2 weeks! She and her sweet husband Jared made our wedding day so much better! They are experts at what they do. Mariah captured EXACTLY what I wanted my pictures to be. Seriously- how she got some of the shots of moments that happened so quickly is beyond me. She’s amazing- highly recommend!! Remarkable!!!
I truly don’t know where to begin…when looking for a photographer I wanted to make sure I selected someone who would be able to capture the memories we shared on our wedding day. Wonderful, Amazing, All the Good Things
Mariah did our engagement photos last winter, and we loved her so much we booked her for our wedding too! I can't say enough about how professional, well-prepared, and wonderful she is, both with my husband and I and our two young kids that she worked with like a champ. She had a plan of action on the wedding day that made everything go smoothly instead of chaotic as I've seen in other weddings. We got our wedding sneak peeks literally the morning after the wedding and the full album only a couple of weeks later, and she did not disappoint! She's great at not only capturing the important moments, but also the candid moments that I haven't seen in many photographers' work. The only problem I have is choosing which photos to print and frame since they are all my favorites! -

So thankful we chose Mariah!!
Oh man where do I begin... First off, we hired Mariah 1) because her portfolio was the most impressive, professional, and downright striking we have seen. Her style fit exactly what we wanted - darker tones and the ability to capture emotions in candid and "live shots" instead of just portrait/stand alone style - we really wanted someone to be able to capture our personality (spoiler - she did just that :) ) -- and 2) because we had friends that told us how amazing she was - and they WERE NOT WRONG to say the least! Our package included an engagement session, which was such a wonderful way to get to know Mariah and for her to get to know us as a couple before our big day. She shot our wedding of course too, which was a small gathering at our family's home that included a small ceremony and a formal dinner around one large table. Before the big day, she worked with us to figure out what all we wanted that day - mostly details shots, a first look that included the bride, groom, and our daughter, and then candid shots of the dinner where we could see everyone in their true form and happiness for our new union. She even created a full schedule for us of when and how to accomplish all these things - and the schedule went flawlessly during the big day! On the night of our wedding (yes - literally like two hours after we left the venue!), she sent us five previews of our big day. And then we got our full gallery weeks before we expected. The pictures were beautifully shot, creative, and truly showed who we are and how happy we were on our big day. Much of our happiness that day could be attributed to how well thought out, prepared, organized, and creative Mariah was - we will always be thankful we chose her as our wedding photographer, and I can bet you will too! -

I found Mariah through a friend and immediately fell in love with her other pictures, so I knew I had to book her. The whole process from start to finish has been amazing. She really took the time to get to know my husband and I and made sure that we were comfortable. We had so much fun working with her, both at our engagement shoot and the wedding. She played music during the photoshoot and when my husband said he liked a particular song, she made sure to play some more of that band. My family and friends speak very highly of her as well. She was very friendly and relaxed during the whole wedding day, which translated over into the pictures. Her pictures really evoke the emotion of the day and I have had multiple people tell me they can still feel the emotions of that day in her pictures. I would highly recommend Mariah to anyone that asks me for a photographer recommendation. I cannot wait to work with her at future life events! -

Mariah is Truly Amazing!
I can’t recommend Mariah enough! She did our engagement photos and they turned about absolutely wonderful! We’re getting married out of state so we hired a local photographer for the wedding to make logistics easier, otherwise she’d definitely be photographing our wedding, as well! Starting off, she was so accommodating when we had to reschedule our shoot due to an unexpected work trip. Before the shoot, she was super responsive and helpful with our questions. While shooting, she was great at instructing us what to do and making us feel comfortable in front of the camera. She was even great with our dog, who we brought so he could be in some of our pictures, too! After the shoot, she also gave our photos some extra TLC to help undo a spray-tan-gone-wrong so we would love them. I seriously cannot say enough positive things about her - if you’re looking for a fun, professional, TALENTED photographer in the Huntsville area, look no further than Mariah Oldacre! -

Speechless and completely blown away
Mariah not only delivers breathtaking photos, she is genuine, caring, professional, and when you work with her, she makes you feel like you've known her for a lifetime. She is so good at getting you out of your awkward bubble and makes you feel so confident as she snaps away! That was something Jordan and myself needed a lot of help with, and she knocked it out of the park. Now, if you book her, you need to be prepared that when she emails you your pictures, you will weep so many happy tears. So keep the tissues close by. I'm telling you, her work is PERFECTION! The Best Photographer!!!
Mariah was seriously the best photographer! She was so easy to communicate with, super encouraging, and amazing at giving direction to get that perfect shot. Im so, so happy with our pictures. We received a sneak peak of around 30 pictures the DAY after, and received the whole gallery way ahead of schedule-in just a couple of weeks! Through spontaneous rain and last minute plan changes, mariah was more than willing to help and make sure everything was done and ready to get all of the pictures we wanted. She somehow captured the emotions we felt through the camera. We literally cant pick a favorite because they are all so good! We are overjoyed to now remember our sweet wedding with these timeless pictures. -

Mariah was absolutely amazing!!
First of all, I search high and low for the perfect wedding photographer. quality photos was one of our main priorities for our wedding, and immediately when I saw Mariah's work I knew she was the best! She was so flexible when it came to scheduling our engagement session, and made us feel so comfortable and confident since we had never taken photos like that before!! My friends were ASTOUNDED by the amazing engagement photos she shot, nobody could believe they were taken in downtown Birmingham!!
Her and Jared could not have done a better job shooting our wedding photos. I had SOOO many random people as well as family members and friends reach out complimenting our photos. My bridesmaids raved about how quick and easy Mariah made the day. She knew the right pictures to take and got EVERY SINGLE photo I wanted!! She made me feel so beautiful!! I cannot rave about Mariah more, I recommend her to everyone!! Also not to mention, she sent a 24 sneak peek of SOO many photos, and got our full album back in just 2 short weeks! Mariah was the BEST. If you choose to book her as your photographer, you will not be disappointed. We truly could not have asked for a better photographer for our wedding. Aside from the extremely BEAUTIFUL photos we have from our big day...
We loved how organized she was and how easy she made the planning process. With several forms and resources that she provides, she makes it easy to form a wedding day timeline and plan for all family photo combinations. She also takes into account any of the extra details you may want photographed on the big day.
She also goes above and beyond. Mariah was very responsive with emails and took the stress out of planning. She made sure that we felt like every detail was accounted for before our big day. When the day of the wedding came along, Mariah was flexible with timelines (theres always hiccups on a wedding day!), and checked in throughout the day to see if there was anything that we may need from her (photography related and beyond). She even brought with a bluetooth speaker to use while taking photos. This created an extra special vibe and made us feel comfortable.
Finally, Mariah felt like a close friend or family member throughout the process. She is extremely personable and kind and made us feel like she truly cared about us. By the end of the night, we felt like we had known her for years! This was especially helpful to feel comfortable on such a stressful day, and made all of the photos she shot look comfortable and candid.
I cannot recommend Mariah enough.
When we are in need of another photographer, she will definitely be the one we call! -

Best in the business!!!
Where to even begin—Mariah was my first choice for a wedding photographer from the beginning. I had seen her work on countless events and was always blown away. Her work is stunning with its own unique style that stands out against the rest, in my opinion. You may think about vendors you hire making your wedding day “easier”, but you don’t always expect them to actually better your whole day’s experience—Mariah did both! My husband and I are both uncomfortable in front of a camera so I was worried about how pictures might turn out. Mariah makes you feel so comfortable in front of the lens, she tells you what you need to do and when, and she makes you feel like you’ve got a friend with your best interest in mind!! She truly made the whole process seamless. Not to mention I am OBSESSED with our photos.. -

Post-Wedding Update: At this point, Mariah is basically a third wheel for us. She's been there for our surprise proposal and our engagement session, and then she crushed it on our wedding day for the grand finale! Mariah made our wedding day so seamless and stress-free, and she captured every special moment that we could have hoped for. It didn't feel like we were working with a hired photographer, but a wonderful friend who genuinely cared and went above and beyond for us. We received over a thousand incredible images about two weeks after our wedding, and even got a sneak peek of 10-15 photos the very next day! We can guarantee you she's the best photographer around!

She was incredibly accommodating, making a long, challenging hike on a hot, humid day. After the big moment, she made capturing engagement photos natural and pleasant, letting us focus on each other. She went out of her way to make the most of such a special occasion, quickly shared "sneak peek" photos for us to share with family and friends, and was genuine and gracious throughout the entire experience. Her communication before and after the session was comprehensive and prompt. As for the photos - indescribable! She is hands-down the best photographer in North Alabama and is worth every penny. Mariah is wonderful to work with and she is an AMAZING photographer. I loved how my photos came back as works of art, not just pics. She really uses her talent of visualizing a shot and capturing angles and frames and colors, piecing them all together to create some really wonderful shots. After my wedding everyone kept talking and talking about the photos. The day after my wedding she sent me some sneak peaks and the rest of the gallery was done less than a week later. I was still on my honeymoon when I had all of my photos back!! Impeccable speed and every one of them (and there were a lot) were of great quality. Truly the best. 10/10 recommend. -

I know Mariah specializes in weddings and couples photography, but Mariah was also wonderful with our kiddos for our family photo session. She really captured their personalities. I was also thankful that she didn’t overly pose us, and the pictures reflected genuine moments and happiness, which was important to us. I really loved the photos and I can be pretty critical! I have no idea how I’m going to pick what to frame, but I’m so thankful for the memories that were captured of our family and of us as a couple. -

Mariah is da bomb dot com!!
Mariah is just a breath of fresh air. Our family session (with 4 little kids 6 and under in age) was rescheduled once due to rain. When we scheduled again a storm came again, yet Mariah used her resources and found us the perfect venue and the rain cleared at the perfect time! Pictures are my most treasured possession. Mariah was great with our kids. She made sure she got everything we asked for. But most of all she captured some pretty incredible moments In time of our big little family! Y’ALL. Where to even begin? After scouring the Internet for days looking for a photographer that matched our aesthetic, we found the gloriousness that is Mariah Oldacre. I was blown away by her website, and getting to work with her was simply MAGICAL. We met Mariah the day of our engagement shoot, and after spending 5 minutes with her, it already felt like we’d known her for years. Mariah is laid back, warm, and super funny, and she does an amazing job making you feel at ease, which was much appreciated for 2 people who tend to feel awkward in front of cameras.
Not only will Mariah feel like an instant best friend, but she is BRILLIANT at what she does. Mariah captured the uniqueness and authenticity of us as a couple while simultaneously making us look like freakin’ SUPERMODELS (keep in mind this shoot took place on a humid, sweltering Alabama summer day - she literally worked miracles to make us look that good). And in addition to her photos being jaw-droppingly stunning, she is an excellent communicator, she edits and returns your photos at lightning speed, and the she offers an incredible investment value for the quality of work she produces.

Amazing and perfect
Where do we begin.... From everything going on in the world, we had plenty to worry about with the wedding facing the possibility or being pushed back and delayed due to COVID-19. One part of the wedding we had no worries about was photography. Photography is so important when it comes to weddings, so it was important to us to choose someone we could trust with our big day. Mariah reassured us throughout the weeks leading up everything would work out and she is just simply an amazing photographer. She was so easy and fun to work with prior to the wedding with getting the schedule finalized and making sure we got everything we wanted. Our wedding was on May 24, 2020 and Mariah was the absolute best! On the wedding day, she was just so much fun! She played our favorite music while we took photos, was on point with family photos (thankfully because they would’ve been forever long if not). We had over 120 photos back the next morning! That’s incredible and so so quick!! We literally had all of our photos back in less than 2 weeks. She is so incredibly talented, fun, and easy to work with! We could not be happier with our decision to choose Mariah for our wedding day! -

Pictures are so important and sentimental to me so for our wedding, I knew a photographer was one of the most important vendors we would book. I had came across Mariah's work and I immediately loved it. I knew the person that we chose to photograph our wedding would have to be someone we felt comfortable with and truly got us and our love for one another- the moment I met with Mariah I knew she was just that person!

We met Mariah through a mutual friend at an impromptu photo shoot in California. We had such a great time together and were so blown away by her quality of work that we decided to make them our engagement photos. Our experience with Mariah made it so easy to decide who our photographer was going to be for our wedding. Her kindness paired with her photography skills honestly made us feel lucky to have met her.
During our planning process, Mariah was detailed, organized and responsive. We enjoyed the planning process and walked away so confident that we had a photographer who had the experience and confidence to run the show the day of our wedding. We had some obstacles pop-up within the final two weeks of our wedding, and she re-assured us and helped us navigate the uncertainty. She truly cared about us as if we were her family.
On the day of our wedding, Mariah was kind and polite with all of our guests. Her enthusiasm and engagement with our wedding party/guests was such a positive experience for us and matched our joy. She fit right in with everyone. We can't wait to decorate our house with all of our incredible wedding photos. She captured our wedding in exactly the moody, romantic, and joyful way that we were hoping for on our wedding day.

The best! Quick turn around
Mariah photographed my fiancé and I for engagement pictures and we were both extremely aware of the fact we had no clue what to do. She made things go so smoothly, didn’t pressure us for time, and my fiancé even said he enjoyed it! It was so much fun. I cannot wait for her to do our wedding!!

Mariah is like that one cousin that everyone hopes shows up to Thanksgiving and Christmas because you know whatever the circumstance you know you will have a great experience. My family and I recently had a mini session and the property flooded the day before. Mariah and Jared are absolutely AMAZING. Mariah is your main girl and Jared is your second shooter guy. They are both so easy to get along with and they instantly connected with everyone. Where to start...hire Mariah Oldacre. I have known Mariah for years now (from middle school, I do believe), and I have seen how Mariah has developed from a good photographer to an outstanding one. I can tell you that Mariah is not only talented but also hardworking, fun, hilarious, and warm. So, when it came time for my now husband and me to hire a wedding photographer, I contacted Mariah...even though we live in Seattle, and she lives in Alabama. There is no shortage of photographers in Seattle, but I knew that Mariah was the perfect person to capture our day. We had the distinct privilege of Mariah shooting our engagement photographs the day before our wedding. The week of the wedding can be pretty crazy, but the time we spent taking photos with Mariah that day left us feeling relaxed and focused on our love. My husband and I eloped a few months back and asked Mariah to take “wedding pictures” for us. We were expecting availability about a year from when the initial message was sent, but she got us scheduled 2 months later! She replied almost immediately, even though she was out of town. She went above our expectations and gave us amazing pictures to share with our family in the years to come. We were terrified of facing judgement, or just having an awkward experience, but it was the complete opposite with Mariah.
