Marcelo was the perfect officiant for our wedding! From the very beginning, he made the entire process seamless and personal, taking the time to get to know us as a couple and crafting a ceremony that truly reflected our love story. Marcielo was fantastic to work with from start to finish. The first time we met him was over FaceTime (we live in the US) and he made us feel so much more comfortable with our ceremony from the moment we met him. After our FaceTime he provided us with his standard ceremony template and we were able to make any edits we wanted to personalize it to us. We were a little bit nervous about this because we did not have a ceremony rehearsal with him. So the first time this ceremony was read was quite literally in the moment of the wedding. It went off flawlessly. He made us feel so comfortable at the alter. The ceremony last for approximately 15 minutes and it was beautiful. We received so many compliments on our ceremony. When we reflect back on our day, he was one of the major highlights of our day. We would recommend Marcielo to anyone looking to have their wedding in Costa Rica. -

Marcelo handled everything, and we could not have been more happy with his service. Months beforehand he took the initiative and asked us for our and our witness' information (required for the license) as well as graciously incorporated our input into the ceremony. Day of he kept things light which really helped our nerves and ran a stellar ceremony, you could tell he's a professional who has done this before. Afterwards, he got us our certificate on time and answered all of our questions. We were happy he was part of our special day. Thank you Marcelo! -

Simply wonderful and professional
Marcelo was amazing! So awesome to work with any just great energy. We loved how easy going he was and responsive. It’s hard to plan a destination wedding in a place you have never been or with a person you never met, but he made it a breeze! He was willing to work with us and his English is perfect. 10/10 would recommend this guy and his services! -

Marcelo was amazing. Very responsive, knowledgeable and professional. His speech was touching and personal, especially when he included our children. I ugly cried several times reading it ahead of time (so I wouldn’t bawl during the ceremony)! He spoke elegantly and was just the perfect wedding Officiant. We truly enjoyed having Marcelo officiate our wedding. Marcelo had a wonderful transcript, which was very touching. We liked it so much that we made no changes, but Marcelo was open and very flexible if we wanted to make changes. Marcelo's English is perfect and he has a voice that projects for all guests to hear. Marcelo was amazing to work with and we highly recommend him. -

We got married in February 2020, and we look back on our wedding day with the happiest memories. Marcelo played a crucial part in our wedding ceremony. He helped us make our day not only memorable, but unforgettable.
Our communication with Marcelo prior to the wedding was brilliant and completely stress free. He always took the time to answer all of our questions and explain everything thoroughly to us as we did have many questions during this process.
During the ceremony, we appreciated how Marcelo kept things so light and funny, yet serious when needed. He had listened to exactly what we wanted and provided it. Marcelo's energy made us feel comfortable and kept our guests engaged. Afterwards, we had several guest compliment us on how much fun he made our ceremony.
In short, we could not have asked for a better officiant for our special day and would highly recommend Marcelo to anyone. He was an absolute pleasure to work with. Marcelo, get ready because whenever we renew our vows in the future, you will be there! ;-) -

Marcelo was an amazing officiant for our beach wedding! He not only was professional he was very responsive throughout the process and was in contact early to make sure our vows fit our family and us. He helped craft vows especially for our blended family and even included a family vow and blessing for my 13 year old daughter. Planning a destination wedding can be stressful and if you choose to hire Marcelo you can rest assured you are choosing a professional with plenty of experience. I could not have been happier and my husband and I highly recommend him! I am still smiling from ear to ear just thinking about our amazing day! -

I contacted Marcelo through his website after during some research on marrying internationally. He was very quick to response, answered all of my questions, gave very simple and precise directions on submitting documentation for our paperwork. He even prepared our vows after hearing what we wanted. He has worked with our photographer before which was a great benefit. While we were still on our cruise, he provided email documentation of our marriage and prepared the formal documents. We received them in a timely manner. After two years of being married, I needed a copy of our notarized certificate and within a couple hours he had emailed it. Marcelo is wonderful and were are very happy that he was a part of our special day. Couldn't have asked for a better experience. -

If there was a 10 star rating it still wouldn’t be enough
Wonderful man , he made everything so easy to plan , we are from Ontario and got married in Hermosa Palms Costa Rica , sunset on the beach , absolutely beautiful setting !. Marcelo made the planning and legal aspects so easy for us , we had absolutely no worries . The ceremony was beautiful, everything we wanted and more . I highly recommend Marcelo, I just can’t put into words how wonderful he is -

What a perfect intimate wedding we had thanks to Marcelo Galli! He was so professional and easy going throughout the whole process. Our favorite place to travel is Manual Antonio, Costa Rica! We planned a trip with my 2 daughters and 2 weeks before we were to arrive we thought hey, let's get married on our favorite beach! We looked Marcelo up and he had great reviews. We picked a date, I told him it was a very simple ceremony with just us and my 2 grown girls. He made it very comfortable and easy. It was all I had dreamed of! Very simple, fast and he takes care of all the paperwork! -

Could not have been better!!!
I rarely do reviews, but Marcelo deserves one from me! From the get go, Marcelo was professional, reliable and responsive. He explained the process and then followed through with each step. I met my wife in Costa Rica, she's from Venezuela. We fell in love and I couldn't imagine my life without her. I propose to her and she accepted. I am an American and met her when I visited Costa Rica. My first step was to look for a Wedding Officiant. I searched the internet and found Marcelo. Of course, I was skeptical at first because you see his website and it looks professional and everything is perfect. I read all his reviews and everyone spoke very highly of him. There were others in Costa Rica that sounded good but (they were way overpriced) I decided to choose him. I think God put him in my path for a reason. I contacted Marcelo and he said he would take care of everything. Sure the prices vary depending on where you want to get married or if you want photo's or not. He has access to every service you can think of if you need anything special. We met at Crocs Resort in Jaco, Costa Rica. He met my future wife and me in the lobby at the exact time he stated, he is very punctual. He spoke English and we had the ceremony on the beach. Since I was spending alot of money trying to get my wife to the United States, the ceremony was pretty basic. After the wedding concluded, Marcelo had us sign paperwork. A friend of mine was there to witness the wedding and needed a ride back to San Jose. Marcelo, being the man he is, told him he would take him back for us. I think they even stopped on the way back for lunch and a beer. I received all the necessary documents to send to immigration via Fedex shortly after I arrived back in the United States. My wife (Adriana) and I were waiting to hear back from immigration after submitting our documents to them. Being that they are very cautious, they asked for additional documentation. I panicked because we have waited for so long and then we run into this snag. The only person who could help me is Marcelo. When we received the documents from him the first time, he sent a letter stating if we needed anything to contact him. I contacted him explaining what has happened and his response was, "No problem." Marcelo is sending me what I need and I am grateful. I was scared because most people change after they get your money......not Marcelo. He is DEFINITELY a man of his word....a real man amongst men. He never asked me to write this review, I had to ask him because everyone needs to know that he is professional, very personable and he really cares for people and helping them. He has put my mind at ease and does everything he states on his website. If you want professionalism, a personable and memorable experience....you need to contact him. I can't speak of others in his profession but I can tell you this....Marcelo is worth his weight in Gold. Most people from the states hear of horror stories about how things go wrong but Marcelo definitely has your best interests in mind. He will not let you down, he's the greatest...he really is. I think his other part-time job is walking on water! hahahahaha.... Ok, Ok...I'm joking but he is pretty awesome. Thank You Marcelo, we are forever grateful my friend. Amazing officiant!
From the very beginning when I found Marcelo online and contacted him he was so helpful in helping and answered all of my questions about how to elope in Costa Rica and what type of ceremony I could do. I did not meet him until the day of our ceremony but I had told him about my husband and I and that it was just the two of us (besides the photographer and videographer) and his ceremony reading was absolutely perfect. It was romantic and focused on the love of two people...it just fit the setting at Rainmaker perfectly. He was truly a joy to work with and is handling all of the paperwork for us that makes our marriage legal in the us, which is a huge help! I wouldn't change a thing about our marriage and feel so luck to have found him! I highly recommend working with him and putting your mind at ease that he will not only do a fantastic job and speaks perfect English, but will also take care of the paperwork as well if you are not from Costa Rica. -
