    What an AMAZING experience!

    We knew we wanted a fun bright wedding venue and we fell in love with Marbles in an instant. They were there for us through a postponement due to Covid, which was heartbreaking to do. We finally got to have our big day at Marbles this passed weekend and it was everything we could have wanted and more. Jennifer helped with ever aspect of our big night, made sure our centerpieces were set up, coordinated, kept close contact running up to the event, and just took such great care of us. We got to play with so many fun things and had so much space to play, which gave people a nice break from the dancing and quiet spaces to relax. 10/10 would do it all over again. Worth every penny.

    Marbles is an excellent choice for a downtown Raleigh wedding reception venue. The venue coordinator, Samantha, was so good at her job - she was always prepared for walkthroughs, promptly responded to emails, and made it all very fun! Our wedding reception was held in Curiosity Square - it was simply beautiful! There are lots of options for museum controlled decor: ceiling lights that rotated colors, twinkly lights, tv screens for slideshows, and life size chess & connect four - all very fun! Their caterer list does not limit you to one or two caterers; there are many to choose from for your needs. Overall we are very pleased that we chose Marbles for our wedding reception!

    I can't say enough great things about Marbles as a wedding venue. Amanda was fantastic and the space is beautiful and large (we got married in curiosity square).

    Don't let the kids intimidate you when you check it out in person- it could not have been more beautiful and elegant for the actual wedding

    Marbles is a fabulous wedding venue. Curosity Square makes for a beautiful wedding reception. It's amazing how elegant the space can become. Plus, you can get some super fun pictures on the exhibits. Marbles coordinator Amanda Lewis was very helpful throughout the planning process. Definetly have your wedding at Marbles

    Absolutely spectacular space for our surprise wedding/reception. Venture Hall provides the perfect space for total creativity and was well worth it.

    We had our ceremony and reception at Marbles on Halloween night. This venue was perfect for our costumed guests. Everyone at Marbles was so helpful! Amanda was kind enough to let my family and me visit the venue on numerous occasions to plan the seating arrangements and plan for decoration drop-offs.

    We decided to use the tables and chairs Marbles offered with the contract. They were perfect. Our older guests found them very comfortable. We also rented the “Around the Town” exhibit for our guests and we are so glad we did. The adults enjoyed the exhibit more than the children! It was definitely worth the cost.

    Mables Museum was a great place for our wedding. Our guest loved it. It was a lot of fun. The area was just the right size. The staff was very nice and helpful.

    Marbles was the perfect place for our wedding reception! It was colorful and fun, big enough for dinner and dancing, and also beautiful with all of the lights. Our guests enjoyed the museum and many of them told us it was the best wedding reception they'd ever been to.

    If you are looking for a fun, different reception or ceremony location, this is it! Kelli was very helpful in planning for our big day and our guests LOVED everything about it!!!

    We had the most amazing reception at Marbles on October 15, 2011. Everything was perfect! We had a very large wedding and the venue fit everyone and all the food. We got the best pictures and our guests were amazed! They said it was the best reception they had ever been to! The venue is classy and formal yet very fun at the same time. I would recommend it to everyone!!

    Marbles was such an amazing ambiance for our wedding reception. It was very fitting for our personalities. The colors and setting really went well with what we wanted - one big party to celebrate. Great venue with a very responsive and helpful staff.

    We worked with Kelli to rent Venture Hall (adjacent to Imax Theater) for our 135 person evening wedding reception. The location was perfect - following the reception quite a few friends went downtown to continue the party. Parking was convenient. Marbles was very accommodating in working out set-up times. Tables and chairs were included in their rate, although we did rent some additional tables for specific needs. Guidelines for decorating were very generous, we were able to hang and suspend decorations (with some limitations) and add lighting. Marbles also provided a tall ladder for our use. We worked around the blue carpet and chairs with our purple/red/burgundy color theme by making chair back covers...with all the burgundy and red covers and tablecloths, the carpet disappeared. We had a sparkler send-off with the bride and groom riding in a downtown horse-and-carriage...all of which worked out smoothly with the facility. The fee for the hall rental included a 1-year membership to the museum. We were very satisfied with our experience at Marbles and would definitely recommend them!

    Marbles was the perfect venue for our wedding! We had space to have both our ceremony and reception in one location and it was reasonably priced. The staff at Marbles was wonderful to work with and enabled us to start our "happily ever after" on a great foot!

    The event staff at Marbles was such a pleasure to work with. The large venue allowed a lot of flexibility and everything worked out perfectly! Everyone thoroughly enjoyed it!

    I loved Marbles! Kelli, their events manager, is wonderful and super easy to work with. They are very flexible with decorations that they allow (candles, etc).

    The event space is WONDERFUL - such a fun place to have a wedding! It was so great to see all our friends and family acting like kids again! We had our wedding in the Curiosity Square area (with the globe on the floor).

    It's not super cheap, but it's also not super expensive. Their prices are listed on their website, and the price differs based on which parts of the museum you want to rent. I only wish they were still called "Exploris" and not "Marbles" - it seemed a bit childish to put "Marbles" on our nice wedding invitations.

    Overall, I LOVED the space, and would recommend it to anyone! Plus, where else can you get wedding pictures of the two of you in a pirate ship?

    We chose Marbles as our venue because we wanted to have our ceremony and reception in the same space in downtown Raleigh with a pretty large guest list. Marbles easily provided the coolest space with the best guest experience for the best value. They accommodated everything we dreamed of for our wedding, and their event planner, Samantha, is amazing to work with. She was flexible, always responded to emails on the same day, and went through several layout options with us before deciding on our final layout. When we messed up our arrival time and got there early on the day of the wedding, Samantha was so professional and flexible and worked with us to make the best of it. And our ceremony and reception were set up so quickly and beautifully by Marbles staff after the museum closed! If you're looking to have a nontraditional wedding in downtown Raleigh, I can't recommend Marbles enough. All of our guests raved about how cool our venue was, and we got some awesome pictures, too!

    Marbles is a great value for the location (downtown Raleigh), and I received tons of compliments on what a fun and unique location it was for a wedding and reception. It's also the only downtown museum where you could have both the wedding and reception (Natural History, Science, etc. do not allow ceremonies). I highly recommend Marbles to any bride considering a wedding in Downtown Raleigh.

    Pros: interesting venue, great downtown location, "free" chairs and tables (included in price of rental), helpful and responsive event coordinator, flexibility (in terms of what they will and won't allow), great catering kitchen set up (lots of room)

    Cons: day-of-event, onsite coordinator is not the same person who you deal with in planning the event, must use one of their preferred caterers

    We had our reception in Venture Hall of the IMAX building! It was great because it gave us a blank canvas to work with and turn it into just what we wanted! The staff at Marbles is awesome! Kelli is kind of "hard to reach" majority of the time but everyone else is available and very helpful!

    Marbles Kids Museum is a beautiful location. My husband and I had our wedding reception in Venture Hall (back of the IMAX building). The room was large; the kitchen was spacious; the staff was friendly. Amanda, the events coordinator, was usually very good about getting back to us when we needed anything. She even followed up with us after the wedding to make sure that we were pleased with their services. I just wish that they had more than 10 preferred caterers, or that we could bring in an outside caterer of our choosing.
