We recently had my daughter’s wedding at Maplewood Country Club. It was the best decision to have it there!! Edison is amazing! He genuinely cares, and wants your day to be perfect. He goes above and beyond to make sure of that. The cocktail hour at Maplewood is better than anywhere. The food is delicious and the staff is amazing. Even the entrees during the reception are presented beautifully, and taste amazing. If you are looking for a venue for an upcoming wedding I highly recommend Maplewood. Edison is a gem, and he will make sure your affair is absolutely perfect.

We cannot say enough wonderful things about Maplewood Country Club!! They made our event absolutely perfect from start to finish!!! The food was phenomenal, the service was outstanding, and every detail was executed flawlessly. Our guests could not stop raving about the food!! Edison was an absolute dream to work with. He was incredibly responsive throughout the planning process, handled every detail with care, and was always so kind, calm, and professional. On the day of the event, he managed everything seamlessly, allowing us to relax and truly enjoy every moment!! Maplewood.....where all your dreams come true!
Having our daughters wedding at Maplewood Country Club was an absolute pleasure in every way. The General Manager and Director of Catering made sure every aspect of our wedding was perfect. The advice that these 2 gentlemen provided along the way was invaluable. Suggestions around music, flowers, guest needs, hotel arrangements were all spot on. My husband and I have attended many many weddings at other venues this year and I can tell you there was literally no comparison. No comparison in terms of value, elegance, location, service and the food is 5 star.
Maplewood has THE BEST cocktail hour of any wedding I have ever been to anywhere! Every single guest has a place to sit during the cocktail hour, which is unheard of. You are not balancing your food and drink on some window sill or high top table, you can sit and enjoy. The ballroom is gorgeous, there is new carpeting, lighting and elegant furniture. The flow of the evening was flawless, you literally want for nothing. Our wedding was in September so the weather was perfect and the meticulously kept golf course was the perfect backdrop for our photos. As you can clearly see, we would recommend Maplewood Country Club again and again. We have never felt so special and treated so well, all of our dreams did, in fact, come true.

Amazing venue for my daughter
My daughter’s wedding at Maplewood Country Club in November was fun,
stress-free, and, from what my guests tell me, one of the most fun weddings they’ve attended. It’s been two months since the wedding, and friends are still commenting about how great the food and the service was.
Maplewood’s manager, Edison, had such an assuring calmness about him. Any request large or small, Edison said he could make happen. His kindness and professionalism ran right through the entire staff.
Thank you Edison for making my daughter and her husband’s start to their life together a night to remember.

My husband and I got married at Maplewood Country Club in November 2025 and we couldn’t recommend it more. From start to finish the entire team especially their manager, Edison really listens to your entire vision, and brings it to life. The cocktail hour is also out of this world. So many different options for everyone, my guests are still talking about it. Edison is the best person to work with. He takes his time to listen carefully, keeps you calm when you’re feeling nervous or anxious and really does go above and beyond. The rest of the staff is super attentive as well, and so nice. We love Maplewood Country Club!

The Best Day
On 8-24-24, my daughter got married at the Maplewood Country Club. The Maplewood Country Club is an absolute hidden treasure and we are glad we found it! We stopped by after a weekend of visiting five other venues. We did not have an appointment, but Edison talked to us anyway and showed us around even though they were preparing for an event. The minute I walked into the ballroom I said, “This is it!” We committed that day.
The room is not your typical ballroom. It has character. The huge silver arch in the back of the ballroom with beautiful designs is an eye-catching feature.
Edison was a pleasure to deal with. We sat down and discussed how much food we were getting for the event and the price was so reasonable. We really hit the jackpot! All along Edison was easily accessible to text and call to answer our questions. We met a month before the wedding and were treated like royalty during the tasting. He was not only the wedding coordinator or maitre de, he was our friend. Edison is a wonderful person who will do anything to make you happy and that is exactly what he did.
On the day of the event, we arrived at 8:00 am and there was bagels, danish, muffins,
fruit, juices, and coffee displayed on a table in the bridal room for us to eat and drink. Later, the waitstaff brought champagne, soda, and water. Then at lunch, we were able to order anything we wanted from the grill menu. The bridal room is spacious and comfortable.
Taking pictures in the front of the venue and outside on the golf course on a beautiful August day was unbelievable. The gorgeous grounds are like a fairytale setting. Lush green grass and trees adorn the landscape. A wooden bridge on the golf course is where you can do your first look.
The ceremony was inside under the arch in the ballroom and had plenty of room for 180 people. The cocktail hour was amazing with a sushi station, Chinese station, carving station, and Italian station. The shrimp is absolutely the biggest and best I have ever eaten. People were very impressed. The service during the wedding was excellent. The food is outstanding and of the quality of an upscale restaurant. Dessert is endless with the wedding cake, a plated delicious lava cake dessert, and pastries. Also, there is a Viennese table with fruit, more desserts, and an ice cream freezer with all brands of ice cream bars.
Words cannot express the wedding at The Maplewood Country Club. It was an awesome experience that will live in our hearts forever.

1000/10 - Best decision made! We would recommend all couples book their wedding at Maplewood Country Club! Working with Edison was such a pleasure. He was, and still is, super responsive, helpful, and genuinely caring. Edison is very detail oriented and takes everything couples as of him and ups it by 1000. From the moment we met, Edison showed my family and I how invested he is from start to finish of the wedding process, and even after the event has occurred, he still checks in to see how things are going. He gave us fantastic advice and suggestions that made our special day truly something magical. On the day of our wedding, April 16, 2023, Edison and his team made sure every detail was EXACTLY as we had imagined it. Our wedding day flowed so smoothly, and he was such an essential part of that happening. Edison made sure that my husband and I, as well as our bridal party, were all properly hydrated and fed the entire day. Edison ensured everything would be perfect, and it was exactly how my husband and I had imagined! If I could suggest anything to future brides out there, this would be my first suggestion - hold your wedding at the Maplewood Country Club and you WILL NOT regret it!

We got married at Maplewood Country Club in September 2022 and it was hands down the best decision we made. In fact it was the 2nd venue we toured and right off the bat, we knew we had found the one. We really cared about serving our guests a wonderful meal and we received countless compliments about the quality of the food, which made us so happy to hear. Guests Are Still Talking About It!
Louie and I had a small wedding in November of 2021, but wanted to celebrate with friends and family. To be honest I didn't think we would have our celebration at a country club, but the team at Maplewood is outstanding and the food is amazing. The newly renovated ballroom is gorgeous and fits any décor you want to have. We worked with Edison, the Director of Catering who is amazing to work with. He and his team were so attentive and made sure everyone was happy. The food was not your typical banquet food, it was high end quality and people were enjoying all night. We were getting calls and text from family and friends for weeks after the party saying how it was the best time and best food they have had in a long time.
We thank the team from Maplewood for making our dream wedding celebration come true!

The absolute best!
If you are deciding whether to have your wedding at MCC, look no further! The staff at the club is unbelievable and Edison is the most magical human on this planet!! He is the calming source every bride needs during the planning process and on the wedding day!
From our first meeting with Edison, he immediately made us feel at ease. No task was too small and no ask was too big. It truly makes a tremendous difference to be able to work with people you trust.
Everything on our wedding day surpassed our expectations. There aren't enough 'thank you's' in the world to demonstrate our gratitude and appreciation for all of MCC's & Edison's contributions. Our guests are still talking about the food and venue and what a memorable event it was!!
Edison ALWAYS looks out for the bride!! It really made me feel special and important (and full!). He is extremely professional, poised and gracious at all times. I appreciate him putting up with / being there for my mom and I from start to finish, being so patient with us, and putting up with our worried emails/texts, questions, indecisiveness and last-minute changes.

My daughter just got married this past weekend and the entire club could not have been more helpful. Edison is simply the best and does everything he possibly can to make the event exactly as you picture. Honestly, the only thing he couldn't accomplish for us is to stop hurricane IAN. He surpasses every expectation, works incredibly hard and due to his nature, everyone on his staff is just awesome. The food and decor are not to be surpassed anywhere else.

I don’t have enough praise that I can give to banquet manager Edison and the entire Maplewood event. Edison made the wedding relaxed and just said enjoy and have a good time. That is certainly what we did. The wedding began in a beautiful room decorated with family photos that made it feel like your own living room. The ceremony was held in the gorgeous ballroom. We followed with one of the most amazing cocktail hours. The food was delicious. Every guest commented on the quality and quantity of food. The dinner was also superb. I would not hesitate to highly recommend Maplewood Country Club for any event. As the Mother of the Groom, I can’t think of anything that was left out of this wonderful wedding. We had a THE BEST wedding at Maplewood Country Club. From the moment we toured MCC, we knew it was the perfect fit for us. Why MCC gets 5 stars: 1. EDISON! Edison was amazing to work with - he was efficient, attentive, and fun! He took care of every detail and made sure we had a great time at our wedding. 2. The food!! Our guests are still raving about the food! Everything we had was absolutely delicious and plentiful! They have every appetizer you can imagine! 3. The drinks! Edison helped us come up with a signature cocktail which was a hit. MCC also had every type of wine, beer, liquor, etc. 4. The service! I arrived very early in the morning to get ready in the bridal suite and beginning at dawn the service was impeccable. They anticipated every need and request. 5. The ambiance! MCC encourages you to bring in your own photos and decorations (in additional to beautiful flowers) and it really made the ambiance unique, special, and gorgeous. MCC is an amazing place to have your wedding. I highly recommend!

We cannot praise Maplewood CC and Eddie more!
Getting married is no easy task by any means. We searched and searched for the perfect place to have our reception that would be able to offer everything we wanted for our day. Maplewood was everything we were looking for and then some! During the pandemic we had to make the unfortunate decision of delaying our wedding. Hearing nightmare stories in the news from couples facing similar fate had us all too worried. Eddie (Edison) not only helped us reserve a new date, he compassionately put our minds at ease every step of the way. Knowing that we would be able to have the wedding we always dreamed about had us beyond excited. When our date was approaching Eddie was beyond responsive to every single inquiry and request we threw at him. He was very detailed oriented and made himself available even in off hours and days off to make sure our day went perfectly. We’re still getting compliments and calls about the day! The cocktail hour was second to none, we had so many options and Eddie was even able to incorporate our family’s traditional cuisine into the offerings. The bar staff was quick and professional in serving 150+ guests. Dinner was a very balanced and impressive menu that was enjoyed across the board by all of our guests. To help close the night we had some fun stations on the way out for some late night food and desserts that were perfect after our party! We can’t thank Eddie and the rest of the staff at Maplewood for helping us weather the COVID storm and host a wedding that was better than we could even imagine. A hidden gem amongst a plethora of venues options in the northern New Jersey area that was simply 5 stars across the board!

Amazing Wedding Day!
It's been three weeks since our wedding and we are still receiving calls from our guest raving about the great time they had at the wedding and it was the best wedding they ever attended. It was said there was an abundance/variety of dishes during the cocktail hour, was surprised there was more to come for dinner and after the wedding. Not just an overwhelming about of dishes but very, very tasty! My husband and I attended a wedding at the Maplewood CC in 2017. We were dating at the time but I knew if were to marry, it would be here. We had a great time at that wedding. Fast forward, we got in engaged in 2019 and I immediately contacted Edison. He was so accommodating and easy to work with. We selected a wedding date for March 2020. However, COVID-19 pandemic hit and we had to postpone the wedding. Edison was so patient with me as I was freaking out and postponed the date three times. Finally had our wedding on March 24, 2021. Edison held my hand throughout the pandemic, took all my phone calls and put me at easy. On the wedding day, he caterered to me from the beginning of our long day to the very end and beyond. Edison was very accommodating to all my guest and made sure eveyone was well taken care of. We had an awesome, amazing and unforgettable wedding! Thank you Maplewood CC and Edison, you are the best!

“Best party ever”
I can’t say enough good things about this beautiful venue and the stellar team behind the scenes! After attending a wedding at Maplewood Country Club, my now husband and I knew this was where we wanted to get married when the time came. Edison is an absolute gem, so attentive and always willing to go the extra mile to help bring your wedding vision to life. His confident, relaxed energy definitely eased any wedding nerves we had. We got married two months ago and our family and friends are still gushing about “the best party ever”. The food was phenomenal (and plentiful), the entire staff was so professional and easy to work with, and the venue itself is stunning (seriously, look at photos of the ballroom). A wedding dream come true
We had our wedding in August of 2021. From the moment we originally booked our date a few months prior and had to reschedule due to covid, Edison and Michael were super flexible and made the transition super easy. Michael is amazing at what he does and provided us the perfect vision to make our wedding picture perfect. Edison is something special. From the moment we scheduled our wedding date, 2 years prior, he was checking in non stop making sure the planning process was super easy. Any time that we wanted to come with vendors to the venue, he made sure that we were able to come and plan without any time limits. When the wedding date came, Edison was by our side for the whole time. He literally made sure that we only had to worry about not forgetting our tux or wedding gown. Everything was taken care of and picture perfect. I consider Edison and Michael family now. I HIGHLY recommend MCC. AMAZING FOOD AND GREAT PEOPLE making sure your wedding is 10/10.

Edison was simply the best to work with - what a dream! He went above and beyond to make sure our day was nothing but smooth, relaxing, and beautiful. He was available at all hours to put our minds at ease - and made the wedding planning process a breeze. The food, venue, and staff were nothing short of amazing - guests still rave about the variety of food offered. In addition, there was nothing Edison wouldn't help with - he even helped in the bridal suite to put my bustle up on my dress - he was down on his hands and knees. Choose the Maplewood Country Club! Not only is the food INCREDIBLE but the care they provide is more than I could ask for. Michael and Edison treat every wedding like they are family. The price will shock you (in a VERY good way), they are more than flexible with your needs and will do whatever they can do help with vendors. My sister had health issues leading into her wedding and what they were willing to do for us is not something you would find at any other “venue”. If you want a place with service, care and food people are still talking about 4+ years later. CHOOSE THE MAPLEWOOD. I did, and am confident that my 8/2021 wedding will be taken care of and everything I’ve wanted, whether it takes place on the date or postponed; Michael and Edison care about their people! I can’t not say it enough, CHOOSE THE MAPLEWOOD!

Edison and Maplewood Country Club did everything they could and more to make our wedding a night we would never forget. From the get-go MCC made us feel special and listened to our wants and desires rather than tell us "how things are done." The entire venue bent over backwards to make every little detail happen as we had hoped. When planning a wedding there is a bit of hope that everything works out the way you planned and due to Edison and MCC, everything blew our expectations out of the water. The night ran smoothly and all guests were taken care of. More than two months later our guests are still talking about the venue and the food. If you want value for your dollar and to make sure all your guests leave satisfied, go with MCC. It is a gorgeous venue with a built in staff that acts just like a wedding planner.

Great venue, service & food steps away from NYC
As residents of South Orange, we selected Maplewood Country Club so family and friends near and far could see where we get to call home. An easy train ride from NYC, guests were able to make a full weekend out of our big day. We worked closely with Edison, his team and our vendors to bring our vision to life. Our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception were all held throughout the venue and all were executed flawlessly for 220 guests.
The partnerships they have with local vendors, including our day-of planner, florist, band, hotel and transportation were incredibly valuable. Edison and our planner were able to closely collaborate to keep all parties in-sync without skipping a beat throughout the night. The club ensured all of our "must-haves" would be accommodated; from the over abundance of food, to the golf cart for photos outside on the course, to allowing one incredibly excited boxer dog inside for just the ceremony, we could not have been more pleased with the outcome.
We cannot thank the club enough for welcoming us in and pulling out all the stops to make our night so special. We are lucky to call the club our neighbor.

Loved our wedding
We loved our wedding at the Maplewood Country Club. Some of that relates to Edison and how incredible he is at making you feel welcome and cared for. He is the best. We had 70 people and I didn't want to be in the ballroom so he helped us imagine how to use the other spaces there which worked amazingly well! We had our ceremony there and used the space by the bar as the dance floor and the dining room was lovely and intimate. And as others have mentioned the food there is soooo good. People thought it was hilarious (in a totally charming kind of way) to have so many appetizers keep coming and then White Castle at the end of the night as people were leaving. I originally wanted to do a destination wedding like Vermont or Florida but it wasn't in the cards for us due to family reasons. We're so happy with our choice of being at the MCC!

Best Experience at MCC!
We cannot say enough great things about Maplewood Country Club (MCC). In fact, I don’t have any complaints! Not one! I had attended events at MCC in the past and for a long time, it was number one on my list for wedding venues. So about a week after becoming engaged, we went to visit MCC. This is when we met Edison who has become one of my favorite people! Edison is a super hero! He made the entire planning process seamless! He had an answer for every single question and almost never said “no” to my many requests. Here are some other things we loved about MCC besides Edison. The food is amazing. All of our guests told us it was the best wedding food they ever had. Next, it was beautiful and homie at the same time. I loved the feeling of being in an elegant living room for the cocktail hour. The reception room was perfect. I used vendors familiar with the venue and everyone was able to coordinate so well. There was nothing for me to worry about. I got ready in the bridal suite with my large bridal party and Edison made sure we were fed all day. Mimomas too! We were able to arrive at the venue as early as we wanted. Edison also made sure we ate plenty of cocktail hour food which he brought up to the bridal suite at the beginning of the cocktail hour. We also were able to eat during the reception. Edison’s suggestion that we have our own sweetheart table definitely made it easier to eat. Of course, we could have had the tables however we wanted as MCC is so accommodating. One thing I was most excited for was the ice cream freezer during dessert. Of course, there was formal dessert, wedding cake, pastries, etc. but we also had an ice cream freezer with haagen daz cups, choco tacos, etc. As if that wasn’t enough, they also gave out white castle burgers, fries, onion rings and hot dogs on everyone’s way out. I am not exaggerating about everyone’s reaction to the food… everyone thought it was the absolute best! The price was also a lot more reasonable than other venues. All in, I would rate MCC and Edison a 10!

Maplewood Country Club – Where Dreams Come True
Where to start? Everything about our experience with Maplewood Country Club was spectacular. This was the last venue we visited on our tour and was head-and-shoulders above all others we saw. Nothing compared and when the date we wanted was available, we jumped and signed up to have MCC host our wedding. The banquet manager, Edison, has worked at Maplewood for over a decade and has this “wedding thing” down to a perfect science. He was extremely accommodating and very responsive via text message—he quickly answered any questions we had throughout the planning process. He helped alleviate any concerns we might have had leading up to our big day and he made us feel very welcome and like family—we were in great hands.
Edison and his team are simply superb—second to none. We cannot say enough good things about them. The wait staff and bartenders were attentive but not overbearing—they took great care of our and our guests’ every need. Words cannot express our gratitude to Edison, his team, and everyone at Maplewood Country Club. They were all also very accommodating—the club even let us practice our first dance on the dance floor a couple weeks prior to our wedding so we could get a feel for space.
THE FOOD was one of the major highlights of the wedding. Our guests could not believe the amount of food at the cocktail hour—rave reviews from everyone as they tried to try a little bit of everything. The big hits were the sushi bar, caviar station/vodka ice luge (yes, you read that correctly), rack of lamb, and bar pizza. Dinner and dessert were also amazing—the cake from Swiss Pastry Shoppe in Scotch Plains was very tasty and they were able to bake the exact sponge/filling combo we desired. As if that wasn’t enough, Edison also catered the after-party with everyone’s late-night favorites (sliders, hot dogs, ice cream, etc.). Our guests could not believe they were so well fed and watered—everyone was thanking my wife and I for hosting an amazing wedding and it is not an overstatement when I say that all of the amazingness was because of Edison and his team at Maplewood.
We HIGHLY, HIGHLY RECOMMEND Maplewood Country Club for your wedding venue. You should contact Edison as soon as possible to book your wedding at Maplewood—you will be very glad you did (your guests will be happy too)!

I grew up in the town of Maplewood so made we could not have picked a better Venue than Maplewood Country Club for our wedding reception.
The room was so elegant and beautiful and turned out absolutely how I envisioned.
Edison was very easy to work with amazing in every step of the planning of our wedding. Edison was professional and very helpful and responsive to all of my questions and I had a lot of questions.
There was so much food at the reception, from the cocktail hour, to dinner, Viennese table, and White Castle burgers to take home. Our guests were amazed and are still talking about how much food there was.
They loved it.
Thank you Edison for making our night extra special and awesome!!!

Perfect Wedding
From start to finish, our wedding at the Maplewood Country Club was perfect, and it is all thanks to the amazing people who work there – especially Edison. Edison was always responsive, helpful, & full of ideas and wisdom. The space is lovely, and was able to comfortably hold our 200+ person wedding, and the seating area outside was especially perfect— our guests loved it. The food was incredible too. There was just so much of it. We’d recommend the MCC to anyone looking for a lovely, full service wedding venue in the NYC/NJ area.

The Most Perfect Wedding Venue
Edison and the staff at Maplewood Country Club went above and beyond to help make our wedding planning and day so very special! From the warm welcome to Maplewood Country Club 6 months before our wedding date, to inviting us in to try the appetizers and dinner, to being so accommodating so that we can truly have the wedding of our dreams, we were very grateful we secured Maplewood Country Club and were able to work with Edison! It was a blessing in disguise that we lost our initial wedding venue and ended up at Maplewood Country Club! Everything on our best day ever was so perfect! The food and the service was the absolute best and all of our guests continue to attest to how amazing the cocktail hour was and how delicious all of the food the whole night was! The venue is beautiful and the dance floor in the ballroom was perfect for dancing the night away with our guests to the fun music of our band. My mom referred to Edison as the "yes man" because he said yes to all of our requests-and he was able to follow through with all of his "yes-es!" My husband and I would highly recommend Maplewood Country Club and being able to work with the best-Edison and his staff!

Absolute Dream wedding Venue
Attention all brides and grooms to be, look no further, Maplewood Country Club is the perfect place to have your wedding! So perfect, my parents hosted not one, not two but all THREE of their daughters weddings. My sisters’ wedding were in summer 2010 and summer 2016 and mine recently in October 2018. Michael and Edison were so accommodating and understanding! They are the real deal! They did anything and everything we needed! And on the day of our wedding they were always magically there when we needed them! Our guests from all three weddings to this day still talk about it! And the food!!!! Don’t get me started on that cocktail hour! So much delicious food, something for everyone! And just when you think there isn’t any room left in your stomach on the way out to the door at the end of the night they serve you more food!!! I have never been to a wedding that provided this much and presented everything so well!! So in all seriousness I would recommended this venue to anyone! The perfect wedding venue
We cannot say enough wonderful things about holding our wedding at the Maplewood Country Club. Edison and his team were professional, responsive, thoughtful, proactive, and considerate throughout our entire planning process and on the day of the wedding. Our goal was to host a celebration that felt warm and personal - like it was in our own home - and that is exactly how we felt. The Club's coordination with our vendors was seamless and the food was fantastic from the cocktail hour through the after party. The staff took care of every detail so that we could focus entirely on visiting with our guests. We had heard great things about the Club, but experience exceeded even our wildest expectations. We wish we could relive our reception again and again and we would recommend the Maplewood Country Club to anyone planning a wedding in the area!

The Maplewood Country Club and Edison (the Maître D) are EXCELLENT in every aspect. If you're looking for amazing service, DELICIOUS food and the best day of your life, book your wedding here!! You won't regret it. Edison is extremely responsive and professional. The food, well quite honestly, is the reason we picked this venue. My guests are still raving about how much food there was and more importantly, how delicious everything we offered was. The ballroom is great and the entire venue is just amazing for pictures. We are so thankful that they were so attentive, professional and friendly...not just to us but our guests as well. We had our wedding ceremony and reception here; although the ceremony started at 530 pm, our guests arrived at 5 pm and were greeted by their friendly staff providing them with some "bubbly." I had the venue as early as 830 am to begin getting ready. Our wedding was beautiful and unforgettable, thanks to Edison!

The Maplewood Country Club was by far the best wedding I have ever had the pleasure to attend! Although I may be biased because it was our wedding, I can wholeheartedly say that it was a pleasure to work with the Banquet Manager, Edison Jeanphilipe. He guided us through the process seamlessly, and took care of all of the details with ease. From the initial planning stages, to a food tasting, to providing us with a list of vendors and being easily accessible for the communication of questions, Edison was an amazing help. The country club's décor was simply beautiful, and required very little additional decorations on our end, which was perfect. The golf course was an added bonus because it provided endless photo opportunities! The cocktail hour flowed beautifully into the reception ballroom, and the service for each was second to none. There is even an outside terrace which overlooks the golf course, which many guests enjoyed during cocktail hour, because it was a gorgeous day. Both my husband and I, as well as our guests were blown away by the abundance of quality cuisine provided for the cocktail hour, dinner, dessert and beyond! This is not your typical 'banquet hall'! The pure elegance, style and quality of this venue made our special day even more remarkable thank we could've ever imagined!

Edison is the epitome of a master banquet manager, but so much more than that, too. He made us feel welcome from the very first visit and was so easy to work with – making me feel like anything I needed or wanted would be handled, rest assured. Any time (and there were plenty of them, trust me) that I reached out with a question in the year and a half between when I booked the venue and had my wedding, he responded with exactly what I needed to know. He also recognized my need to feel in control, and worked with me to ensure I was comfortable and felt heard. The day of the wedding was nothing short of magical. It still blows my mind that Edison threw a bat mitzvah right before my event (and that it was as if it never happened by the time my first guests arrived) and still gave me his full energy and attention, as if this was just the beginning of his workday. From the waiters to bartenders and everyone in between, the entire staff practices utmost professionalism and kindness. They ensured everything went off without a hitch. MCC is elegant and grand, yet intimate and quaint and the venue offers a flawless ceremony and reception (and I swear, despite my doubts, the staff can flip the ballroom with perfection during cocktail hour). The setting is picturesque, the food is incredible, and the décor is chic yet charming. I wish I could get married there every day. I could go on and on, but I’ll stop here because I know if you’ve made it to this page you are in the thralls of wedding planning and certainly don’t have time to sit here and read my novel (and also, there's a word limit!). We had our April wedding reception at Maplewood Country Club and we couldn't have asked for a more incredible day! Mike & Edison took care of every single detail and went above and beyond to make our day so special. Every staff member was friendly and always looking to help. Guests are still contacting us about how great of a night it was and how FULL their stomachs still are. If you're getting married in the North Jersey area I would put Maplewood Country Club at the VERY top of your venue list- hands down!

Our reception was on 9/22/17 and people are still commenting on how awesome our wedding was. The venue is beautiful. It has a unique home like feel from the entry way, to the living room, to the bar area and then onto the deck with views of the golfcourse. The rooms are updated and flowed nicely together. There was plenty of space for our guests to hang out. The main ballroom was elegant and had plenty of room for our 150 guests. The food selection and quality are unmatched. There are two kitchens on site and they go above and beyond with taste and presentation. Thats truly what our guests can't stop talking about. But best of all is the manager Edison. He's intelligent, kind and organized. He made planning so easy and stress free. He answered all of our questions and provided his opinion and advice which were all very helpful. We just received a save the date for our friends wedding in August and the Maplewood Country Club and can't wait to be guests this time!

Edison was everything you could ever dream of and more - he created the most perfect night and took into account every detail and request. He was responsive via phone, text, email all the time. We knew it was going to be an amazing night after we had our tasting together a few weeks prior to the event. From the wine to the amazing 5 star entrees and the delicious desserts - we were so impressed. Our cocktail hour was insane and everyone is still talking about the amazing entrees and white castle and little treats to end the night. The bridal party was treated like royalty even while getting ready that morning. We walked into a full breakfast spread and champagne chilling! Could not have asked for a more incredible day. If I can give you one piece of advice for your wedding it is to get married at Maplewood Country Club. The grounds are beautiful for pictures and the actual venue itself is gorgeous. The food is AMAZING and there is a ton of it. In addition to the venue and the food being perfect, the manager, Edison, is beyond helpful. He is so responsive with any questions or anything you need and he makes sure you are taken care of every step of the way. I can't say enough good things about this place. My day was so much fun and perfect and that was in big part due to MCC and their amazing service.

I had my wedding At Maplewood on Saturday July 15, 2017 and the food was one of a kind and never ending. All of my guests raved about how great the food was and the superb service that they received from the venue. Just when they thought the venue was done with food on their way out there was White Castle, hot dogs and ice cream on their way out. I can't thank Edison and his team enough for giving me and my husband Michael the wedding reception we dreamed of. If you are considering any kind of catering hall or country club for your wedding, then please stop looking and just book Maplewood Country Club. I had my ceremony and reception here in April 2017 and everyone consistently tells me how it was one of the best wedding they've ever been to.
To start, the food is out of this world. The sheer amount of food is impressive, but the quality is phenomenal. My guests raved about every single station - the lamb chops were to die for, the Martini bar was gorgeous, the sushi was fresh. The steak was incredible at dinner and Maplewood makes you feel like you in a five star restaurant.
What I found amazing about the whole process was how willing Edison was to help me implement every little idea that I had and really helped us customize the experience to make it different. My fiance wanted "signature cocktails" waiting for people when they left the ceremony; Edison had waiters ready and waiting. We wanted to change up some of the stations at cocktail hour; it was no problem. He was able to use past experiences to show us how Maplewood had all of the successful ingredients for a perfect wedding and then allowed us to customize it.
Edison was also incredible. He answers emails ASAP throughout the process. He makes sure that you eat on the day of your wedding so when you're running around like a crazy person you won't be hungry. He really takes all of the stress out of the day and having him around is ten times better than any wedding planner or day of coordinator.
Finally, the space is gorgeous. They recently redid the venue and I am in love with the gorgeous high ceilings in the ballroom. The cocktail hour is very spacious so people aren't on top of each other, and the back area and golf course are the perfect spot to take pictures. Stop looking at other venues and just book Maplewood.

My husband and I were guests at a wedding about 8-9 years ago, and I that's when I knew I wanted to have my wedding here. I absolutely love the layout, how's there's couches and fireplaces inside and out. It's a very intimate, cozy venue. The food is- WOW. absolutely to die for, our wedding was 12/2/16 and our guests from all over the states, Italy and Puerto Rico are still talking about how amazing the food was. Cocktail hour had a HUGE variety of every type of food.. it seemed endless and the presentation was beautiful, organized, and extremely appetizing. The entrees, desserts, even the midnight Togo snack which was White Castle! (Our choice) and the guests WENT CRAZY! Everything A+! but most importantly, the service- absolutely phenomenal. The waitress and waiters were so respectful, great personalities and manners, HAPPY, super professional and ON POINT. Not one complaint from anyone. They worked so hard, and made it look easy. They treated every single guest as if they were friends/family. LASTLY, the maitre d, Edison, I've never met such a great person. It takes a certain person to this job, and he's perfect for it. His responses were immediate when I had a question or concern, he was in touch 24/7 and by my side the whole time to make sure everything was perfect and how I wanted it. He made "getting married" and "having a wedding" so incredibly easy and stress free for me, when he sensed I was a little down, he immediately helped me, and literally treated me like I was family. I can go and on, but Edison made my wedding perfect, he made it my dream wedding, and I wouldn't have wanted it any other way. I am so thankful for him and his team at Maplewood for everything, because I now have a forever friends. Thank you, Edison, from the bottom of our hearts.

This is a NO BRAINER! Maplewood Country Club did nothing but treat us amazing, give us anything we needed, and made our wedding the best day of our lives! Edison was our contact point and he was always there to answer any questions or do anything he could to make it smooth. During the reception, he was everywhere! Phenomenal service by all at the country club! Our guests are still talking about it 2 weeks out. Let's just say there is no other place to have your wedding reception than here. Delicious food as well! I do not have 1 bad thing to say about Maplewood Country Club. You have to check this place out and consider it for your day! You won't be disappointed, that's for sure.

The first and most important thing to know -- MCC throws one heck of a wedding. My husband, our families, guests, and I were all blown away by the ballroom, outdoor space, service, and the food. My husband and I checked out MCC after visiting a few other venues, and knew we needed to look no further. We booked a date based on MCC's availability -- we loved it that much right off the bat and knew we wanted to have our wedding there, no matter when it was! Luckily we were able to host our wedding within a year of our engagement, and I am so grateful to have had the help of Michael and Edison throughout the process. Every aspect of the night was accounted for. Edison worked with me to make the event special for us and was open to anything and everything I brought to the table. I felt comfortable working with both Michael and Edison. They are complete professionals in this field and knew how to make the event perfect but still unique to us. Our family and friends are still talking about how incredible everything was at the wedding, especially the food! Now that we have received our wedding video, I was able to take in all of the details of the room and the care that was put in. Everyone working at MCC helped to provide an incredible night, from the valets to waitstaff. We feel so lucky to have had our event at MCC and know we will remember the night forever.

I just got married here in May, 2016!and it was the best decision my husband and I could've made. The food is ridiculous in quantity and quality. The word delicious doesn't do it justice. It was a multicultural wedding (Haitian and Brazilian) and they accommodated both cultures with traditional cuisine beautifully. My guests are still raving about how full they were from cocktail hour only to be given another 3 course meal during the reception. The food didn't stop there. We had a hot dog stand, ice cream stand and assorted desserts plus White Castle to go at the end of the night. Edison and his team are the absolute greatest. From the very beginning he told us that he would take care of us and he went above and beyond. My bridal party and I used the bridal suite to prepare and he was constantly checking up on us. He even allowed his staff to help stuff my favor boxes for me since I didn't get a chance to do the night before. Evanese was the main waitress who took care of us. She was also a gem. I'm a little picky about my cocktails so when she took my drink order she brought options. ( three different drinks, which was completely unexpected). Overall, you can't go wrong here. Everyone is so dedicated to making sure you enjoy your day. I'm hoping now to get invited to a wedding here so my husband and I can do it all over again !

Weisser, the AMAZING assistant general manager, and the rest of the staff will do everything they can to make sure your reception is everything you want it to be and that your guests are comfortable and taken care of. Throughout the entire planning process, Weisser was very responsive to our emails and was a pleasure to work with.
Secondly, the food at the MCC is absolutely phenomenal! Months after our wedding, our guests are STILL talking about the food at our wedding. The MCC puts together possibly the best cocktail hour your guests will ever experience, in addition to an exception dinner. Also, everything throughout the evening was included in base cost. To top everything off, at the end of the night, Weisser and his amazing team provided guests with White Castle fries and sliders and bottled water for the shuttle back to the hotel.
Aside from the amazing customer service and exceptional food, the MCC also provides you with a gorgeous venue. The ballroom is incredibly elegant, with high ceilings and a newly renovated dance floor. The lounge area is warm and comfortable, with ample seating for guests during cocktail hour. Our guests also loved being about to go outside on the patio throughout the night. The fire pits and heated lamps the MCC has outside made this an enjoyable option for our guests, even though we were married on a cool fall day.
And lastly, I would be remiss to not emphasize the incredible value of the MCC. Moreover, for the quality and quantity of food our guests received, the elegance of the space, and the incomparable service, we would have thought we would be paying double what we had paid. We cannot recommend the MCC highly enough!!

Weisser Millien and his team were so incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and professional about every detail with planning our wedding reception at The Maplewood Country Club, and everything exceeded our expectations. He made sure that everything we needed was in order and taken care of. Weisser was so helpful with setting up our room block and accommodations for our guests to stay at the hotel for the wedding weekend. We absolutely loved Maplewood Country Club and could not have asked for a better experience. One person made all of that possible and that was Weisser (Assistant General Manager). He made our day one we will never forget. He was responsive, extremely flexible, overly accommodating, amazingly helpful and guided us through the entire process from start to finish. We looked at two venues (MCC being the 2nd) and after meeting with Weisser we stopped our search. From vendor recommendations, pre-wedding dinner tasting, lighting and decor, Weisser went above and beyond to make our day special incredible and to make us feel at home every step of the way. The answer to every question was always "yes", which is extremely rare without another $ figure attached. We clearly loved working with Weisser, but also fell in love with the country club itself. The venue is elegant and well maintained. The ability to be inside and out also was a plus. Leading up to the wedding we only heard rave reviews on the amazing food the club served and our special day exceeded all of our expectations. The quality, quantity, and vast selection of food was incredible. After only 2 months, we have already lost track of the many compliments and rave reviews we've received from guests about the beautiful venue, amazing food, and stellar service. We had an amazing experience and would highly recommend Maplewood Country Club to any couple looking for an amazing wedding experience.

We got married at the Maplewood Country Club on 8/22/15 and it was just the most amazing day, thanks to Weisser and his incredible team. From the beginning of our planning process, we were treated like royalty. The answer to every question was easily answered - both Weisser and Michael have done this a thousand times and we really felt like we were in good hands. The wedding itself ran completely smoothly. It was absolutely everything we could have hoped for and I know it was because of Weisser behind the scenes making sure every single detail was perfect. I also need to give a special shout out to Maria who was our server on our wedding day and gave me every single course and re-filled my drink multiple times even though I was having way too much fun to eat or drink anything! And also, Evanese, who helped us from 10am in the bridal suite making sure we had all of the food and drinks we needed on the wedding day and who set up the placecards, photos, etc to make sure the details were all set up according to my vision. Overall, our guests are still raving about how wonderful the wedding was - the venue is beautiful but not too opulent and the food is just OUTSTANDING and extremely plentiful. Some of our guests even though that the cocktail hour was the main dinner! Ahhh it was just the best day ever and you all need to book your weddings at Maplewood Country Club asap or you'll just regret it forever :)

MCC was absolutely perfect for our wedding! We knew the minute we walked in this was where we wanted to get married. The ballroom has the most beautiful chandeliers and we were also able to keep our Chuppah up the entire ceremony and reception. The staff were incredible from the moment we met them...they were professional, friendly, and worked very hard. Our guests told us multiple times how wonderful they were. But the real star was Weisser Millien...many say weddings are stressful but my husband and I didn't feel any of that. Weisser handled anything we needed and made it all look so easy...although we suspect it wasn't. He made us and our parents feel special the day we met him, even before we had given a deposit and it never stopped. Weisser has been doing this forever and it shows with his flawlessness. The food is insane as well and we were told by numerous people it was the best food they ever had at a wedding! You definitely don't leave hungry either. From amazing apps at the cocktail hour to a delicious dinner to way more dessert then you can imagine, the food keeps on coming. We could not have been happier with MCC and the price was completely reasonable as well compared to other places we had seen, that were less inclusive and not as beautiful!! Thanks to Weisser and MCC for making this the best day of our lives!

My husband and I were married in July and had our reception at the Maplewood Country Club.
Before that day, Weisser was so helpful with everything. My stress level was pretty minimal because I knew he would take care of things!
The reception was UNBELIEVABLE. We received and are still receiving positive comments about our wedding. Everyone said it was the best wedding they've been to!! Our pictures outside came out gorgeous because they really take care of the appearance on the golf course (As a bride I liked that I did not have to stop at a second spot to take pictures). The food was amazing. By far the best and biggest cocktail hour I've ever seen. Bar is all top-shelf liquor and they even made me a sangria (which I requested) for upstairs in the bridal suite. Bridal suite also gorgeous! Nice and bright and a large bathroom which helps with that big dress. The staff at Maplewood Country Club are so nice. Our guests kept telling me how much they appreciated that the staff would get drinks for the table, which most venues don't do anymore. After cake guests could enjoy tables of ice cream, root beer floats, twinkies, and fruit!! and if that wasn't enough, guests could choose between pork roll and cheese sandwiches, White Castle, or hot dogs on the way home! The amount of food was incredible.
I can't say enough good things about the club!!! HIGHLY recommended!!! I keep asking my engaged friends to get married there so I can go back!

My husband and I had our reception at Maplewood Country Club on 9/19, and all we can say is WOW. The first time we walked into Maplewood, we knew it was the perfect place. We had looked at so many NJ venues, and most feel like wedding factories. What really sold us, though, wasn't the beautiful grounds, the incredible ballroom, or the amazing food- it was the general manager, Weisser. He was such a professional, and took us through all of the details with so much ease and enthusiasm. After speaking with him, we booked right away.
Leading up to the wedding, Weisser was easy to connect with, and so patient with all of my questions- and always knew the exact right answer. About a month before the wedding, we had a food tasting that was to die for. Our families were so impressed, and Weisser took the time to plan the whole menu with us and describe every dish. On the day of the wedding, my bridal party and I got ready in the bridal suite, and Weisser made sure we had plenty of food and drinks. Maplewood only has one event at a time, and you can really tell that you and your guests are the sole focus that day. All of the decor looked amazing, and our guests have not stopped raving about the food- the cocktail hour had stations and stations of food, passed hors d'oeuvres, caviar, and fresh pizza at the bar! Our signature drinks were perfect... and then there was dinner, the wedding cake, passed desserts, AND white castle burgers/fries at the end of the night! Weisser even remembered our request to have s'mores outside by the fire pits. Every single thing was so delicious, and multiple people have told us it was the best food they've had at a wedding. Weisser made sure every detail was perfection.
Maplewood is truly a hidden gem, and so many people asked us how we had found it- and wanted to come back again! My husband and I are patiently waiting for someone we know to get married at Maplewood, so we have an excuse to come back as guests :)

Have your wedding at the Maplewood Country Club and you'll be treated like royalty! The venue is beautiful, stylish, warm, welcoming and spotlessly clean. The living room fireplace mantel can be adorned with any photo theme you choose ~ vintage family weddings, photos of you and your sweetheart growing up, present day, etc. Your guests will love walking around the spacious adjoining rooms that flow from the living room, the bar and the patio ... all while enjoying a fantastic cocktail hour. The food is amazing! The variety is outstanding - delicious and plentiful. Our guests are still talking about it. The ballroom is classically beautiful with two magnificent chandeliers and marble tiled dance floor, the night seemed magical. The assistant manager is a pleasure to work with, no request is too big. I cannot say enough great things about Maplewood Country Club. My wedding was amazing!!! If you do not have your wedding at Maplewood Country Club, you are crazy. You will not find a better place, with better food, at a better cost than MCC. Let me tell you why – MCC knows how to throw a wedding. From the beginning stages of booking the venue, Weisser was nothing but flexible and easy to work with. He asked me to trust him with my wedding and it was one of the best decisions I have ever met in my life.
The menu MCC puts together is out of this world and EVERY single guest at my wedding (yes, all 230 of them) agree with me. Cocktail hour was full of food from their famous lamp chops, pizzas at the bar, sushi, and the best lobster raviolis I have ever tasted. The Italian and Chinese stations were such a hit, especially the Chinese stations because it was something different than your typical wedding. People were so full after cocktail hour that they barely had room in their stomachs for their entries. The filet mignon was the best I have ever tasted, trust me it was better than a steak at Ruths Chris. Now, here’s the scoop on the dessert, chocolate soufflé, passed baked goods on the dance floor (cake pops, other pastries), ice cream bars, hot dog stand, devil dogs and rings dings; you name it, Weisser made sure we had it – not to mention the delicious wedding cake and the white castle food served as guests were leaving! I am not exaggerating when I tell you that six weeks later and people are still talking about the food at my wedding. I am am begging friends to get married there so I can go back as a guest and eat all of this! Another amazing feature of MCC is their service. Their wait staff is TOP NOTCH. We had one server per table and these ladies and gentlemen were on top of everything all night long. Please have your wedding at MCC, I promise you will have the best night of your life!!

My daughter's wedding at Maplewood Country Club was awesome. They helped us every step of the way from the time we booked the wedding last year until the day of the wedding. The guests loved everything!! They loved the food, thought the service was awesome and loved the outdoor space. Not all venues can offer all three--my daughter wanted to be able to have outdoor space and not have guests feel like they were stuck in a building for 5 hours. I cannot say enough about Michael and Weisser and the help we received whether through phone calls or emails we always got an immediate response. Maplewood is not your typical wedding factory. My husband and I have been to a few weddings in the past year and although they were nice they all had flaws. My family could not think of anything that went wrong that night!! I would not hesitate to go back and book another party. I wouldn't waste my money anywhere else knowing I can sit back and let them work their magic. The food doesn't compare to any venue I have been to in the past year. We can't say enough about Maplewood!! Love! Love! Love!

Where do I begin? We were ecstatic with our choice of Maplewood Country Club for our wedding ceremony and reception. It was even better than we could have imagined. The ceremony was beautiful and the room looked amazing. Weisser Millien (assistant manager/coordinator extraordinaire) was there every step of the way to be certain there wasn't one glitch. From providing food and drink to the bridesmaids in the bridal suite, to hiding the bride from the early arrivals, he was amazing! The cocktail hour was awesome with many stations and passed hors d'oeuvres as well. All our guests commented on how delicious it was. Dinner (filet mignon, sea bass, or stuffed chicken breast) was incredible. Who would think 186 dinners could be that perfect?! Then, as our guests were leaving at midnight, there were White Castle burgers, hot dogs, onion rings, and Good Humor ice cream! Wish we could do it all again! Love you Weisser!!!!!

We stumbled upon Maplewood Country Club after a disappointment at another venue. Everything happens for a reason!!! Maplewood Country Club created my dream wedding. The assistant manager, Weisser, is amazing and worked so hard to make our day perfect. Knowing he had everything under control put me at ease, and I didn't have to worry about a thing. Anything I asked of him, it was "no problem" or "don't worry about it", he had it all under control. The atmosphere was exactly what we wanted, with the beautiful backdrop of the golf course, creating the ideal pictures. The food was outstanding, from beginning to end, right down to the White Castle that guests could grab on their way out!! I recently had my wedding at MCC in early March 2015. We had 8 inches of snow the night before and the premises were cleared perfectly the next day for the event. MCC was the 3rd venue that we looked at and from the moment we walked in I knew that it was the right place for us. Michael Lusk and Weisser are so incredibly accommodating and can literally make anything happen. What they offered was so much more than I would have expected! The other 2 venues that we looked at were ok, but didn't seem personal. From the moment you walk in to MCC they treat you like family. The night of the wedding was perfect. Weisser was there every step of the way to fix my dress, grab by bouquet, wipe off my husband's forehead and when it came time to cut the cake he magically showed up with my husband's suit jacket and seamlessly helped us through. I can not say enough about MCC. There was not one flaw throughout the night and if there was, Weisser took care of it before I could even notice. I would recommend MCC to everyone. Our friends just booked MCC for their April 2016 wedding and I could not be more excited to attend as a guest and eat the food. We have been getting non stop text messages and phone calls about how phenomenal the food was. Thank you to MCC for giving us the perfect wedding!

We had our wedding in November at the Maplewood Country Club and it was absolutely amazing! Weisser, the Maitre D' was great to work with and I always felt confident our wedding would go smoothly. The food was outstanding! It is now March and we still have guests talking about our wedding and the amazing cocktail hour! We did an extra hour and had white castle burgers and onion rings for when people left and all of our guests LOVED this!! People are still talking about how cozy the Maplewood Country Club is and it isnt your typical wedding venue with two big rooms. The different rooms make it feel like you are in someone's house. The firepits were also a great touch! I would definitely recommend Maplewood Country Club for your event! The service was impeccable and the food was amazing!! They truly made our wedding the best night of our lives!!

Our wedding could not have been more perfect at maplewood! The food was incredible our guests are still raving about it! The venue was gorgeous and unique compared to other venues we looked at in nj! Weisser made our wedding incredible and was there to answer our many questions over the course of the year. I cannot thank the staff enough for our incredible day!

After checking out 8-10 wedding venues in north / central NJ, I was pleasantly surprised when I set foot into MCC. From the beginning, they were extremely flexible and accommodating. Weisser made us feel so at home, even as non-members of the club. He was helpful and responsive throughout the year prior to our wedding. The wedding day was perfect. Weisser, Michael, and the staff were extremely attentive and we will be forever grateful.
I think more and more people are finding out about this hidden gem. As a heads up, if want want to have a Saturday night wedding during wedding season, you probably need to book over a year in advance.

I just got married here last week--and let me tell you, it was a DREAM WEDDING. This place is amazing. Weisser was an absolute pleasure to work with. He is very resourceful. He answered all my questions, and had every detail of my wedding perfected for me. The food is out of this world. We are still getting phone calls from our guests telling us how amazing everything was. The service they had, the food, the atmosphere. Was just absolutely perfect. There is no better way to describe it. If you are looking for a great place to have a wedding, that your guests will continue to talk about, and you know they mean it, MAPLEWOOD COUNTRY CLUB is where you need to go. You will not be disappointed. I will be referring this place to everyone, in hopes i get invited back! :)

UNBELIEVABLE. That is the only word to describe how amazing our wedding at Maplewood Country Club was. I literally cannot say enough good thing about the wedding that we had!!! Anyone who is looking for a venue needs to go here. The cocktail hour was like none we've ever seen. Our guests have been raving about the vast selection and how delicious everything was. From the cocktail hour, to the dinner, to the deserts to "late night" snacks, Maplewood goes above and beyond. Anything that we requested, they made happen. We requested a certain type of beer and liquor and it was stocked for us. The venue space is spread out so your guests aren't crammed into 1 small room during cocktail hour. You get to spread out and have the entire 1st floor of the club. Maplewood allowed my bridal party to come as early as we needed for hair and makeup. Weisser, the assistant GM, is great and so knowledgable about how to run the perfect wedding. The entire staff made sure we were taken care of throughout the entire day. If you are looking for a venue, go straight here. Don't waste your time checking out other places. The best wedding I could have asked for!!

I had my wedding at the Maplewood Country Club on Friday, October 10th and it was absolutely perfect. Weisser and his very attentive and caring team made sure we had our dream wedding. Everything went off without a hitch. From the moment we first met Weisser when we were looking for venues, we felt at ease and like we would be well taken care of. We came in for dinner a month before the wedding and got a preview of the food that would be served at the wedding. I had heard rumblings that the Country Club's food was really good, but it surpassed ALL my expectations. It was simply divine and there was no shortage of food. Everyone says you don't get to eat much at your own wedding, which was definitely true in our case and that's our only regret! I would have eaten more if I could! The pasta station during cocktail hour was a big hit and the lamb chops at the carving station during our dinner was second to none! The memory of the succulent lamb chops will live in my memory forever! EVERYONE was raving about the food.
I looked around online for venues before visiting the Maplewood Country Club, but this was the first venue we actually visited and it was love at first site. The decor is tasteful and modern without being overpowering - allowing us to add our own touches easily. We feel we got a great value - as our price per head covered use of the club (along with linens, glasses, etc), the open bar (all top shelf liquor), cocktail hour, dinner, cake AND dessert tables, which included a flambe station!! Weisser was beyond accommodating and helped us coordinate the signature cocktails we featured (which were a big hit and truly delicious). He gave great suggestions on table coordination, outside vendors and more.
Another highlight was the outdoor terrace with lit firepits with comfy chairs around it. The guests really loved sitting out there throughout the night.
I only wish the night didn't go by so fast, but I know it's the mark of a truly great wedding!!

Maplewood Country Club was the PERFECT place to my have my wedding. 15 years ago I had the reception to my Bat Mitzvah here, and there are so many reasons why my husband and I decided to get married here. The club is just beautiful and the golf course grounds make for stunning photographs. The manager, Weisser Millien, is just amazing to work with. Every detail of the wedding (ceremony through cocktails through reception) was perfect. At one point during dinner, my 92 year old grandmother-in-law requested a specific food from cocktail hour, and Weisser happily fulfilled that request. Additionally, it was my mother-in-laws birthday. After we cut our wedding cake, a special birthday cake was brought out and all of our guests sang Happy Birthday. Our guests RAVED about the food (both quality and quantity) all night long. The food was ridiculous - beyond amazing. There was so many choices everywhere and people couldn't believe how delicious it was.
I am so grateful to Weisser and his staff at Maplewood Country Club for the stellar service, food, and all-over professionalism during the entire planning process and execution of my wedding.

My son and daughter in law got married last Sunday and what an amazing wedding it was!
This was our 3rd affair at Maplewood, 2 Bar Mitzvahs and a wedding. We couldn't be happier!
They are consistently fantastic.
The staff and food were amazing as usual. There was nothing missing. The phone calls have not stopped from our family and friends, raving about how great the wedding was.
We have family memories in the catering business and they are still in awe from the beautiful venue, quality of food and terrific service.
Weisser couldn't do enough for us, to make this special day, extremely memorable and enjoyable.

If you want the most incredible wedding then look no further! Let me start off by thanking Weisser and his unbelievable staff, every single person went above and beyond in everything they did. THE FOOD IS OUTRAGEOUS. Our guests are still talking about our food.. from cocktail hour to dinner, the dessert spread (ice cream cart!!) to the end of the night treats as you walked out the door. The venue to beautiful and elegant and we really had the wedding of our dreams.

I do not even know where to begin and know this will be a little long but worth reading for any couple looking to get married. Our experience, start to finish, at Maplewood Country Club was a dream come true. EVERY detail was considered when preparing. We couldn't have been happier. On our first visit I knew 100% that this was the place. We saw about 10-15 different venues but none could compare with Maplewood in the end. The helpfulness of the staff was remarkable - The GM, Mike Lusk, Asst. GM Wessier and the whole team you are truly amazing. Everyone that I worked with was friendly and very accommodating. We had around 300 guests with a mix of Italain/American + Puerto Rican/ Colombian family. Not one person was without a drink or food in hand. The quality and quantity of the food was no doubt the best around. All of our friends and family couldnt stop talking about the food for weeks after the wedding. Another highlight beside the amazing food and drinks was our wedding cake. I do not know how but between 3 pictures I sent they created a masterpiece which I loved. Everyone was raving about our wedding and as the bride all I wanted was to hear that everyone had a great time and they did.

Our wedding was absolutely perfect, thanks to Weisser Millien, the assistant general manager at Maplewood Country Club, and the rest of his amazing staff. From the very beginning of the planning process, Weisser made us feel at home and made the choice to book there an easy one. He was accommodating from the start, and his energy and effervescent personality alone set Maplewood above all the others we visited. Weisser was in touch constantly, always prompt with responses and put us at ease during an exciting yet stressful time. Any possible wrench that could get thrown into the works was met with his trademark smile and “That’s not a problem!”
The food was spectacular, going so far beyond the standard chicken, prime rib and salmon. Everything we tasted — hors d’oeuvres during the cocktail hour, dinner entrees, not to mention the plethora of desserts — was beyond delicious. We just hope one of our friends or family members follows suit so we can enjoy all the food that we were too busy to partake in (but not to worry, fellow busy brides; Weisser will grab a plate of all the greatest stuff you missed out on and have it ready for you at your dinner table).
Maplewood Country Club is down to earth with an understated elegance that is just perfect. The ballroom is magnificent, with high ceilings, a gorgeous chandelier and an intimate charm unlike any other we’ve seen. There are so many reasons to get married there, but one of the biggest is that unlike numerous other venues, the country club only entertains one wedding at a time.
We were just blown away by how breathtakingly beautiful every aspect of our wedding was. It’s a month later and our guests are still showering us with compliments, saying that ours was the best wedding they have ever attended. A big thank you to Weisser and the entire Maplewood Country Club staff for making our wedding day the most wonderful, magical and downright awesome day of our lives.

From the moment I walked into the Maplewood Country Club, I knew this venue was the perfect choice. We first worked with Mike who was so kind and did a great job answering all the questions we had. We booked with the Maplewood and the day of our wedding, we couldn't have picked a more perfect place. Everything was so excellent and Weisser was so wonderful to work with. He made sure every detail was perfect. I loved everything about our wedding and have ZERO complaints about our venue. Everything was absolutely delicious. I do not like fish but we put the Chilean Sea Bass on our menu and my husband got it. I tried it and it was amazing!! Weisser was so wonderful to work with. He was there every step of everything and didn't miss anything. Even when my husband smashed cake in my face, Weisser was right there with a napkin haha. It was awesome. Our guests are still raving about the food from our wedding. It was wonderful. We had family who said they have never been to a wedding like ours and it was fabulous!! We highly recommend this venue to any bride! People came to me saying they wanted to have their wedding there. Such a magical place! My husband and I had our wedding at this stunning country club in July. Every little detail was breathtakingly beautiful and well-orchestrated. Weisser was our coordinator, and he was the MAN! He took care of everything, kept us informed, did everything we asked, and kept the party moving on a timeline. I don't know how there could be anyone better at his job! He's always smiling and full of infectious energy! The manager, Michael, also made sure we were happy and well-taken care of. He's a man who knows how to get things done the right way!
The venue itself is gorgeous, set on a golf course with stunning views and ample photo-friendly locales. The inside is old-world chic and classy! Beautiful staircase, open, airy ballroom, inviting cocktail areas and other cozy spots to relax!
The food was out of this world! Anything you could possibly imagine for a fantastic wedding day feast was one-upped by Maplewood's staff! The presentation was lovely and the food was delicious. They also offer some really cool ideas for food--vodka luge, ice cream bar, exit food (whitecastle... yes, it was a huge hit), and the cocktail hour stole the show!
The service by wait-staff was impeccable. This place is a well-oiled machine. Everything ran smoothly, and I would recommend Maplewood to anyone/everyone!
Our guests were literally blown away by everything (especially the food)! They are still talking about what an awesome time they had. We are forever indebted to MCC for making such a beautiful wedding fantasy our reality.

My husband Joe and I had our wedding at the Maplewood Country Club on July 2014 and we cannot say enough amazing things about this place and the wonderful people who work here! It has been two and a half weeks since our wedding and our friends and family are still telling us it was the best wedding they have ever been to! Talking about the delicious food, refreshing drinks, beautiful venue and engaging staff.
We started looking at venues about a year before our special date and we saw a few places before coming to the MCC and weren't thrilled with any of them. However, as soon as we met Weisser we knew we were in good hands. Not only was he very approachable but he made us feel like our wedding was the most important event of the year! From having the personal food tasting with him, yes personal - not a 100 table event, but a table of 6 (we brought my parents with sister and brother in law) sitting directly with Weisser showed us only again his attention to detail.
Food is still today a discussion item that blew everyone away! Not only was it tasty and delicious but an incredible variety!
It was really amazing working with someone who obviously loves what they do and genuinely cares about the couples and making their day special. We highly recommend Maplewood Country Club because it offers more than a place to celebrate an event, it offers an experience where memories can be cherished. Maplewood Country Club is truly New Jersey's hidden gem for your special day to remember!

Having our at Maplewood Country Club was the best decision we could have made. Everything just included in the package for one price - ladder back chairs, up lighting, and all the food stations at cocktail hour, full open bar, etc. The food was delicious and I was amazed at how much was there. We have older relatives who are pretty picky when it comes to food and all of them were blown away. Many commented how they were very surprised how each table had their own waiter. This was a touch I didn't even know about until after the big day. Now weeks later, we are still getting comments about how much food we had and how GOOD it was. While MCC exceeds expectations in all areas, the food is truly amazing.
Weisser was great to work with and made sure everything went smoothly. He is great at what he does and you will not be disappointed if you leave him in charge of running the biggest night of your life!
I would not hesitate to recommend the MCC to anyone. The grounds, ballroom, cocktail space were all so beautiful and just felt different than the typical wedding banquet hall. I am so glad we were able to have our wedding here.

We had our wedding at Maplewood Country Club on May 25, 2014 and it was the most perfect day! Upon meeting Weisser, I knew we were in good hands and I was calm and relaxed the whole day/night. Any questions or requests I had were answered right away. Weisser is just a pleasure to work with.
The great thing about Maplewood is that there is only one venue at a time. We had the whole day to get ready in the bridal suite, we got married there and had the BEST reception!
All of our guest raved about the food. The cocktail hour was to die for, the dinner was excellent and to top everything off the dessert was delicious!
If you want an incredible experience with the best food you will ever have, look no further. I highly recommend Maplewood Country Club and hope I know someone who will get married there so I can enjoy it as a guest!

My husband and I had both our ceremony and reception at MCC - it was the only place we considered. We have both done business with them before and knew the quality and service we would be getting, however MCC far exceeded our expectations. Weisser Millien and his staff were always one step ahead of our needs and requests. The food at both the cocktail hour and the reception was beyond description, and people are still talking about it! The venue provided the perfect backdrop for our pictures, which are absolutely stunning both inside and outside. I cannot think of one thing I would do differently. We are so thrilled that we chose Maplewood Country Club as the venue for our wedding ceremony and reception. I visited at least 15 venues in NJ and was not impressed with any of them except Maplewood. It felt like you were a guest in their home, a cozy yet really elegant atmosphere, perfect for our wedding and number of guests we were expecting. Weisser was amazing and so responsive throughout the whole process, answering many questions and letting me and my family come to the venue as many times as we wanted to sit down and chat and finalize all details. I felt very comfortable there. All I kept hearing about Maplewood from others was the food, the food the food! and they were right. I didn't get to eat much of it because as the bride I was dancing and chatting but the cocktail hour was amazing - really good and the dinner was fantastic - really above and beyond what you expect at weddings. Really nice. Everything was easy and many of our guests said it was the best wedding they've been to. It was also perfect for a November wedding as the golf course was beautiful and green and there were some leaves still on the trees for pictures. Inside we had the fires going, and it was so cozy and beautiful. This venue, staff and food are top notch. Highly recommend!!

Our daughter and son in law were married at Maplewood Country Club on 11/24/13. I can't imagine any venue being more wonderful, and perfect than Maplewood. The atmosphere is warm, classy, and beautiful. Weisser was amazing. He was on top of every detail. From the day we booked, through our "food tasting", and throughout our affair, we experienced nothing short of perfection. The quality, and abundance of food, was all the guests kept talking about. On October 19th, 2013, we got married at Maplewood Country Club. We can’t express how magical and absolutely perfect our wedding was. It was everything and more than we could’ve ever dreamed of thanks to Michael and Weisser, the two heads of catering at Maplewood Country Club. They both treated us like family. From beginning to end no detail was overlooked. They truly make you feel at ease by taking all the pressure out of each decision and every detail. Now to the food! It was beyond our highest expectations. Our guests still can’t stop raving about how amazing everything was. From the pizza bar to the lamb chops to the veal chop served at dinner every bit was delicious. The cocktail hour was one that you dream about having, endless great tasting food with a beautiful presentation. Michael and Weisser went the extra mile and brought in an ice sculpture of a Wisconsin badger to acknowledge where we had met 8 years ago. It was a night that we will always remember. We only hope to be invited to more weddings here so we can experience another Maplewood wedding as guests! Michael and Weisser, thank you for EVERYTHING!!!!

I truly cannot say enough good about Maplewood Country Club. My husband and I found the venue while searching online. We now refer to it as "A Hidden Gem." We had never been to a wedding at the club, but read some great reviews and decided to check it out. From the second we walked in and met Weiser, we knew it was the right place.
We got married about a month ago and we are still hearing people rave about the wedding. The food was above and beyond! The cocktail hour is one people will continue to talk about for months. The layout is perfect and spacious (we had over 200 people at our wedding).
Weisser was amazing! He will work with you from start to finish to make sure your day is perfect. I e-mailed Weisser anytime I had a question and he always got right back to me (even when he was on vacation!). He was even there to help bustle my dress when a few of the loops broke! As a bride, you can imagine the panic that set in, but Weisser was able to make it work!
I HIGHLY recommend Maplewood Country Club for your wedding!! I wish I could go back as a guest to enjoy it all over again!! Thank you Weisser and Maplewood for making our wedding day perfect!

I got married at the Maplewood Country Club this past Labor Day Weekend. My friends and family are telling me it was the wedding of the century!!! Weisser and Mike are amazing - they truly know what they are doing. My husband and I knew as soon as we walked into the MCC that we had found our venue. It felt like we were having our wedding at home. Not to mention, the food was OUTSTANDING!! Guests thought that the cocktail hour was it! Oh boy were they surprised....they kept on bringing more things out. The best part was it was not just quantity, the quality was that of a 5 star resturant. The staff was attentive and left no water glass unfilled. It was an amazing night at an amazing place. Now, we just want to go to the Maplewood as guests instead of the bride and groom!!!

Weisser and Mike are amazing! From offering suggestions to helping us keep within our budget, they were able to provide us with not only the most, but the best we could have hoped for. The food at Maplewood is phenomenal!!! The grounds are absolutely gorgeous, and there is even a nice park across the street we were able to take pictures at with our HUGE bridal party. From the start of the cocktail hour, until the last guest walked through the door to leave (we know because that was us), Weisser was on top of every single detail.
Were writing this review three days after our special day, and we haven't stopped hearing from our guests on both sides how our wedding was one of (if not THE) best wedding receptions they have ever attended.
Mike, Weisser, we can not thank you enough for everything!

I got married at the Maplewood Country Club on August 3. My friends and family are still calling me telling me that it was one of the best weddings they'd been to! Weisser and Mike are incredible - they truly know what they are doing. During the wedding planning process, my husband and I visited an endless list of venues - the Stone House, Natirar Mansion, Skylawn Pavilion, the Pleasantdale Chateau. All of these places were beautiful, but I left appointments feeling not 100 percent. The minute we sat with Weisser and toured around the Country Club, my husband and I just looked at each other and smiled - we both knew this was the place. Many of the venues I mentioned before are run by wedding planners who are new to the business. We met no one with the class or experience that the Maplewood Country Club staff have. This was important to me. The people that run your wedding essentially are your wedding. The most important thing on my list was food. Guests could not believe the food we had. The raw bar, sushi station, bar pies, pasta bar, sliders (the list goes on...) were incredible. The three entrees were cooked to perfection (especially the bone in filet). The lighting in the room was perfect. The service was amazing - to my amazement, each table had a personal waitress. No one's glass got half empty all night! Everything ran smoothly all night. Weisser and his staff truly took care of anything. As the night ended, I realized that I got even more than I had expected at my wedding. I could not be happier about this venue.

I am the father of the Bride. Everything about the day was perfect. I have lived in Maplewood for 27 years. I had no idea how great the Maplewood Country Club was. My daughter and son-in-law came home to us after a statewide search for a wedding venue. They were so excited about this wonderful place, right in our own backyard. Weisser was a true professional. He not only met our high expectations, he exceeded them in every way. The food was so plentiful and delicious that it bordered on sinful. The service was five star. The ambience was elegant yet homey and comfortable. There were so many surprises and extras that I am still hearing about them from our guests. Literally, all of our family and friends said it was the best wedding that they had ever attended. I know it was the best one that my wife and I have ever attended. Weisser and his staff made our special day, and unforgettable event for all of our guests. We will always be thankful for that. I can't imagine how it could have been any better. I have a son and another daughter. I would be thrilled to see them both have their wedding at the Maplewood Country Club.
