MSR provided the setting and the food for an absolutely glorious day for our daughter's wedding. She wanted an outdoor ceremony and the weather cooperated to provide breathtaking views of the mountains from the top of the ridge. Guests were treated to a memorable ride to the ceremony on the chair lift or a hay wagon. Kate had constructed an arbor from birch branches and an entry portal from weathered doors that added so much charm to the ceremony site. The food had to be gluten-free, and the chef delivered on a delicious menu with the most stunning cake made entirely of fruit! Kate managed all the details, including water and color-coordinated umbrellas on the ridge (the sun got hot while guests awaited the bridal party). All in all, it was an even more lovely day than we had imagined!

Working with Kate and Maple Ski Ridge was wonderful. Our Wedding was fabulous and Kate and the staff was there for everything we needed. We felt special and completely taken care of. We would highly recommend Maple SKi Ridge for any occasion. When we renew our vows we will be going back. Thank you Kate and the Maple Ski Ridge staff for such a perfect and memorable day.

We were so very happy with Maple Ski Ridge. We wanted a "blank slate" for our wedding so that we could make it our own, and Kate was not only flexible but also incredibly helpful in making our vision come to life.

If stuffy banquet halls or grandiose ball rooms aren't your style, the woodsy magic of Maple Ski Ridge might be a good fit for your wedding day. Nestled at the base of a tiny mountain on the quiet edge of Schenectady, Maple Ski Ridge feels like a secret hideaway but has the convenience of a dozen bars and hotels just ten minutes down the road. The staff was incredible, especially the coordinator, Nick. From catering to our allergy-heavy guest list to helping with set up and break down, the staff is more than happy to accommodate you. While their email response time can be a bit slow, Maple Ski Ridge more than makes up for it with five-star service and their genuine, caring staff.

I was absolutely in LOVE with the beauty of this outdoor space. I wanted to have our wedding outdoors and something very memorable for our guests. We absolutely got that with the availability of using the ski lifts for our guests to arrive at the ceremony site at the top of the mountain. What I did not appreciate of this venue was the unprofessionalism involved with the owners and staff. When we originally booked our wedding we were told we could have alcohol (with proper insurance, of course) but about a month prior to our wedding this all changed. This was a HUGE deal for us, to possibly be forced to have a dry wedding. After a tremendous amount of negotiating and pleading we were finally able to have alcohol. We were also told there would be no time constrainsts on us and could keep the party going as late as we wished. However multiple threats were made to our DJ as they were trying to pack up because we were there too late. There was also a problem with having a dance floor just days before our event. AND I am still upset that we were not able to bring home any of the left over food (some of which I personally made). I barely ate anything during the wedding and by the time we got to our hotel afterwards I was starving and wanted nothing more than the leftovers that we had just dropped $10K on (silly, I know, but I paid for it!). I think these folks just don't really know what theyre doing, even though they will boast that they do tons and tons of weddings. They seem to tell you everything you want to hear upfront but just as your event is about to happen drop the ball on just about every one of your requests. So unfortunate because it is such a beautiful place.
