Maple Shade is an incredible wedding venue. We were so blessed with the weather and foliage, but the real blessing was Jay and Abby. They made the day effortless for us. I got so many compliments about the space, food, activities and flow of the day. I highly recommend this venue. All of their recommended vendors were amazing as well. -

My wife and I are beyond blessed to have chosen Maple Shade Farm for our wedding venue!
First of all, the location. Perfectly tucked away in the western Catskills, we fell in love as soon as we saw it. A beautiful rustic barn: upgraded, with all of the original charm. The stone walls of the orchard and beautiful pond. The sweeping meadow and picturesque hills rising up in the distance. Your photographer will be thanking you for picking such a great spot to capture your special day!
What really made Maple Shade stand out to us was how much was included. The barn has: a dining hall, dance floor, outdoor patio area, game room, full bar area, numerous seating areas, cozy corners and nooks to set up dessert, décor and favors. We thought it was so cool to have all those extra spaces, so your guests can have their pick of being closer to action on dance floor or grabbing a quieter corner to catch up on conversations. We booked Maple Shade for the entire weekend, holding a Friday Rehearsal Dinner as well as a Sunday Brunch the day after. It was an amazing deal, and most shocking, the cheapest venue that we looked at.
Second, the wonderful people that run Maple Shade: Abby and Jay Wilson. They were so kind, helpful and hardworking to make sure everything went perfect on our special day. Whether it was coordinating with the DJ and caterers, or guiding guests around the property, they did it all! Their professionalism and years of experience shone through, and they patiently answered all of our many, many questions to put our minds at ease. We loved how it was a family affair, with Abby and Jay and their kids all pitching in to help. They were so accommodating with whatever we needed: seating arrangements, picking of wedding arches, bus transportation, etc.
For us, we knew that wedding guests might not remember the table centerpieces. They might not remember the invitations or favors. But they will not forget the experience of Maple Shade Farm. Coming from New Jersey and NYC, Maple Shade was for many their first taste of the Catskills. And it did not disappoint, with many family and friends still telling us it was the best wedding they ever went to!
10/10 would recommend to anyone!!! -

Fantastic!
Yes! CHOOSE THIS VENUE!! You’ve found the right place!
We are finally getting around to posting our review about the most perfect wedding venue we could have imagined!
We saw Maple Shade November ‘22 when we were ‘shopping’ for a wedding venue; choosing it was a no brainer. The barn itself is unique and different than any others we have seen and it comes with everything. Dining area upstairs, separate from the cocktail hour, dancing, downstairs bar, lounge area, game room (this place has it all!). Long farm tables are gorgeous within themselves and need minimal decorations. And with the venue having SO MUCH on site, there was no need for us to order and prepare any other decor items like we would have needed at some of the ‘Blank Canvas’ barns we initially considered. The barn sits on acres and acres of land, giving you the option of where to have your ceremony, we chose right in front of the pond where our wedding party had a grand entrance from the large barn doors. MAGICAL!
Enough about the venue, although we hope this paints an accurate picture! Everything you could need is there!!
More importantly, Jay and Abby Wilson (owners of Maple Shade) are absolute rockstars. From our first visit and follow up phone call, we knew working together would be a breeze. They were helpful in our initial planning stages, helping us plan different details, offering extremely helpful advice. Wedding day they were like conductors of an orchestra, making sure everyone and everything were in place and running according to plan. It was PERFECT!
And when uncontrollable things don’t go to plan, they had us covered!
On our wedding day in late July, there was a high percentage of rain expected only during the time of our ceremony; Jay and Abby made the call that morning to put up a tent and made all the adjustments needed without causing bride and groom any extra stress… THANK GOD they did - it literally monsooned during the ceremony, like nothing we've seen before at an outdoor wedding! (Just a fluke storm rolling though).
They reminded us that as a bride and groom getting married at their venue, they make the same decisions for us and our guests that they would make for their own children. They are kind and caring and so fun, and certainly know how to run a wedding venue. We respected, trusted and appreciated all their knowledge and hard work. It’s definitely not their first rodeo!
As we will continue to call this day "the best day ever," we are very grateful to Jay and Abby for all of their help, attention to detail, and their ability to see and understand our vision for the most perfect wedding we could have imagined.
Ps- they made a few recommendations for supplementary vendors (catering, DJ, bartenders) and all their recommendations were also HOME RUNS! It was such a smooth operation. -

I can’t say enough good things about Maple Shade. The moment I walked into that place I knew it was the perfect spot. They not only were amazing for us but my 88 year young mom said that Abby knew what I wanted before I knew I wanted it and that is extremely high praise. They give us the fairy wedding of our dreams. To add to that the response we got from friends and family is that it was one of the best weddings they’ve ever been to. -

Our wedding at Maple Shade truly was a dream come true. The owners, Jay and Abby, were an absolute joy to work with and made our wedding vision come to life in a way that far exceeded our expectations. They made sure that every need and concern was taken care of, even made sure our elderly guests could get around the venue comfortably and safely! Amazing Venue!
We had looked at a few other venues before we stumbled upon Maple Shade Farm. As soon as we got there we knew this was the venue for us! Jay and Abby made sure our wedding day was above and beyond our expectations. All of our guests were in awe with the venue, from the authentic barn, the amazing flowers, to the vintage decor. This is definitely a one of a kind venue! -

I am a professional musician and have played weddings for 40 years. Maple Shade is one of the best venues I have experienced. The place is so cool and “funky”. The staff made all of us feel comfortable , the food was really good and served right on time with a well coached wait staff! Our wedding was everything we could have hoped for and more because of Maple Shade Farm!! The owners, Jay and Abby, are also the day of coordinators and have hearts of GOLD! They truly treated us like family from the second we met them. They did everything in their power to make sure our day was exactly how we wanted it, from the ceremony location, to florals, to personalizing the decor to make it feel like us. Even when we did have a couple hiccups due to timing issues, Jay and Abby made quick adjustments to keep our guests happy. They are down to earth, flexible, understanding, and they're always adding improvements to make the barn even more fantastic.
So many of our guests have told us how much FUN they had the venue! Our ceremony was outside, dinner was in the upstairs part of the barn and the reception was in the bottom. Having everything all at one location but also having a few changes of scenery helped keep things interesting and new for our guests. If you're worried about elderly friends/family and the maneuverability of the barn, don't worry -- Jay can personally escort them in a golf cart around the property (and even inside the barn)! Throughout the night we saw guests playing lawn games, hanging out by the s'mores pit, dancing, and catching up with friends on one of the many amazing sitting areas they have in the barn. We wanted our wedding to have something for everyone, and Maple Shade was the perfect place for it.
I can't say enough good things about Maple Shade. And honestly the photos do NOT do this place justice! If you have any incline to book this venue, please go see it in person and experience it for yourself! -

Perfect venue, expertly managed!
Maple Shade is a beautiful place to get married--every area of the barn and the grounds is lovely, and having the ability to move around freely (from ceremony site, to deck, indoors and back out again) makes this venue feel unique: you have the whole place to yourself, and if you don't want to dance, you can play lawn games, hang out by the bonfire, or just sit out and enjoy the view. Our guests raved about the venue--we wouldn't have had our wedding anywhere else. Abby and Jay are a wonderful team and they truly thought of everything. This was already apparent in the lead-up to the wedding, but they did so much on the day-of that still managed to exceed my already-high expectations--Abby arranged our flowers beautifully and did did a wonderful job decorating the barn and the grounds; Jay managed everything expertly and ferried people around in the golf cart as needed. We're so thankful to Abby and Jay for helping us throw our dream wedding--and we'd highly recommend Maple Shade to anyone looking for a unique and beautiful place to get married. -

Maple Shade Farm...a truly unique wedding venue loved by all. We still have friends and family telling us how much FUN they had at our wedding and how awesome and ONE OF A KIND the venue was. Abby and Jay know how to coordinate and execute a wedding that every guest and couple won't forget. They were so helpful and understanding when the pandemic made us postpone a year. While it does take a lot of coordination and moving pieces - they will help you through each step if you need it. Once the wedding weekend hit, they made sure all the stress was gone and magical feeling of the wedding weekend was always present. When we arrived to drop off all our goodies on Thursday afternoon from when we picked them up on Sunday afternoon - we felt like we had been friends with them for years. Take a visit to see them and experience the all the feels for yourself - words truly can't express how cool of a place it is!

Maple Shade Farm (MSF) was the first and only venue we visited when searching for our perfect location to say “I Do”. It did not take long from the moment we pulled onto property, where the beautiful historic barn nestled in the Catskills lives, to realize our search was over. Although we toured MSF in the middle of winter, we could instantly picture our fall fairytale wedding. The heart of this beautiful venue is Jay and Abby; they are truly the definition of a dynamic duo. Despite the numerous texts, calls, and emails Jay and Abby were always there to provide reassurance, offer ideas/suggestions, and never made us feel like a bother. Jay and Abby made our vision come to life and far exceeded our expectations. Our guests were in awe and left speechless with the beauty of the day. MSF will forever hold a special place in our hearts. -

My husband and I knew going into wedding planning that we wanted to get married at a barn. When we first made the drive up to the venue over the summer of 2020, we knew right when we pulled up that this was the place. Maple Shade is a perfect barn setting with beautiful views, making all of our rustic dreams come true. Jay and Abby were a pleasure to work with right from the start and helped our vision come to life. When issues arose with our caterer, Jay and Abby quickly stepped into action and helped in anyway that they possibly could. Without them, our day wouldn't have been what it was. We highly recommend Maple Shade Farm to anyone looking for a barn venue as it has everything that you could want, including fireworks, sparklers, florals, and more! -

Perfect Wedding Venue and Team
When my husband and I started our wedding planning in January 2020, we knew we wanted to get married in the Fall of 2020. Working with such a tight time frame was difficult, added in with the pandemic that hit us right after we secured all our vendors.
Jay and Abby were the perfect people to help us through all our wedding planning and anxieties throughout the months leading up to it. They were realistic, but had a 'can-do' attitude that really helped us through the planning process while keeping the event covid friendly. If it weren't for their connections and resourcefulness, we would have had to postpone our wedding day. They helped spearhead last minute tenting, heating, and finding new servers since our original caterer could no longer commit to staffing the wedding. Jay and Abby went absolutely above and beyond expectations.
We loved Maple Shade Farm from the moment we stepped foot into the barn and saw the large plot of land they had. The outdoor space allowed us to set up a tent for outdoor dining with social distancing. We were able to have our cocktail hour outside, and with beautiful views that our guests were able to enjoy.
Maple Shade Farm is far more than just a wedding venue. With it, we had Jay and Abby who were able to provide us wedding planning, florals, rustic tables and chairs, antique decorations, day of coordination, and complete peace of mind. They set everything up on the day of including all decorations. All we had to do was drop off any personal touches such as personal photos and party favors. We trusted them whole heartedly with our day and they surpassed all expectations.
Maple Shade Farm hosts the Taste of the Catskills annually, and we cannot wait to come and start a tradition of coming back to the farm! -

The Wilson Family was a blessing for our wedding! My husband is in the Army and I did most of the planning and preparation for the big day while also attending grad school. Abby and Jay elevated my ideas and remembered the little things that I forgot. They are extremely flexible and really know how to transform their gorgeous barn and grounds to match your vision. We had a magical day and I could never thank them enough for all their hard work and care! -

Maple Shade Farm is unlike any other venue my husband and I visited. Its uniquness made it impossible for any other places to compare. We had around 180 guests and we still felt like we were at an intimate gathering. Jay and Abby are phenomenal at their jobs they took so much stress off of my husband and I when it came to planning. The things they can make a reality are unbelievable! Our guests have not stopped talking about how wonderful it was. -

We would give Maple Shade Farm many more than 5 stars if we could. We had our wedding here in July, and we have had so many of our friends and family tell us it was the best wedding they have ever been to -- hands down. They couldn’t stop talking about how wonderful the venue was, and how beautiful the area is, and how every little detail was thought of. And WE can’t stop talking about Abby and Jay, the couple who own and run this venue: they are just incredible at what they do, and made it all possible.
Maple Shade offers so many different layers and reveals over the day, each as stunning as the last. We got married underneath the tree behind the barn, with guests gathering in the apple orchard on arrival and enjoying the most picturesque view of rolling fields, old stone walls, mountain vistas, and beautiful old barns. We then had cocktail hour outside the barn while guests played lawn games and canoed on the pond, followed by a glorious dinner upstairs. And then (yes, there’s more!) we partied the night away downstairs, taking breaks at the bar or at the S’mores station by the bonfire while the full moon rose above the crest of the hill. I mean, come on!!! It was everything we could have dreamed of.
With friends and family coming together from across the world, this was the most perfect venue to get people mixing, mingling and partying together. We saw several venues -- in this and neighboring areas -- and the unique flexibility of Maple Shade Farm (along with its beauty!!) sealed the deal for us. We’re so glad we made the choice we did.
Abby and Jay are true pros who have thought of everything. Their consideration and eye for detail is extraordinary — and Abby’s skill at dressing the venue and bringing your vision to life (or helping you figure out what you want!) is phenomenal. The thoughtful details made our day so special. Abby and Jay truly had our backs on everything and went above and beyond.
One of our guests talked so much about how much she loved our wedding that her colleague came upstate the following weekend to see Maple Shade Farm for herself, and booked the venue on the spot.
We truly had the wedding of our dreams. Ten stars if we could. -

Want a wedding that your guests will still talk about for months after? Jay and Abby at Maple Shade farm have you covered. After searching many barns in many different states maple shade was the only one that had everything you need. Already decorated with beautiful farm tables and chairs both the upstairs and downstairs have the perfect amount of space to congregate large groups while at the same time giving you areas of privacy. The best decision you will make is having Abby make your flowers. I can’t wait till my daughter gets married, the only place I will pay for is Maple Shade -

Jay and Abby are absolutely phenomenal. We picked them two years before our wedding. Meeting with Jay was so laid back and we knew instantly this was where we wanted to get married. I would definitely do the whole day over again, the same way! From recommending an awesome team to the fine details they do it all. We had a hiccup with catering a couple months before the wedding and they helped to get a new caterer and put your mind at ease about everything. Abby did an amazing job with floral arrangements and decorations and Jay was very accommodating to our scheduling needs. The venue itself is spectacular from the views to the way the event flows. I could not have asked for a better venue and couple to make our day perfect. They know what they are doing and make the day yours, no cookie cutters here. -

Maple Shade Farm was the perfect setting for our wedding. The combination of the rustic old barn, scenic backdrop, and new features that had been recently added (like a nice deck) made for an amazing wedding. Most importantly, the owners (Jay and Abby) were an absolute pleasure to work with. They made the entire process from when we first booked 2 year prior, through the wedding day absolutely smooth and stress free for my wife and I. They know how their property flows and what may work best, but they also ensured that our vision became reality. The result was an epic wedding, which many guests have reported back as the most fun they have ever had at a wedding and the location seemed universally loved as well. I highly recommend Maple Shade Farm for any out there who are in the market for a great venue. -

We did a Victorian-inspired garden party theme and Abby immediately understood our vision and was able to select the most beautiful pieces to create a totally unique look. Vanessa and Floyd worked on the set-up and they were so lovely to work with. Vanessa knew just what to do, and together they magically turned our park venue into a scene from "Downton Abbey". Our guests are still complimenting us on how beautiful everything looked! I remember looking around that day and thinking it looked like we stepped back in time, and that is in great part due to the beautiful decor and all of the special little touches from Maple Shade Farm. Best Wedding Venue EVER!
Having our wedding at Maple Shade was the BEST wedding related decision we made. My husband and I looked at several venues before finding Maple Shade. When we saw everything that Maple Shade had to offer, we were sold. Some of our favorite things were…
1. The unique space(s) — We LOVE the two tier barn, the patio outside the lower level, the beautiful ceremony space near the stone wall, the pond and all the way around it, all of the beautifully and thoughtfully decorated nooks and crannies throughout the lower level of the barn. The venue truly offered so many wonderful spaces. There are so many fun games— including foosball and pop a shot, a wonderful Photo Booth, lawn games, nooks that offer a little privacy, and the most perfect dance floor. (Having a dance floor near big open barn doors so you don’t overheat? Genius!)
2. The one stop shop services. During wedding planning, my husband and I were intimidated by the amount of work we were gong to have to take on. Decorating a venue space just wasn’t something that we were interested in doing (on top of EVERYTHING else!). Not only did Jay & Abby add custom touches, they took care of flowers, made sure everything was set perfectly, designed a beautiful table that shared our love story, and made sure everything was perfectly executed. The amazing Jay and Abby are pros. Trust their process. They know what they’re doing. Give feedback and don’t be afraid to call, they’re receptive.
3. Flexibility with vendors. Of course, Jay and Abby have a list of vendors that they love working with and who love working with them. That said— one other thing that sold us on this venue was that we could bring in pretty much anyone. We were able to buy our own alcohol which was huge on the cost savings (and we’re still enjoying some, 6 months later!). (We also could have brought in our own caterer, but we ended up going with Mark Salerno (a Maple Shade preferred vendor) who was exceptional.
4. Jay and Abby - Maple Shade isn’t something they clock into from 9-5, it’s their home. Jay and Abby are so central to the Delhi area. When you choose to support this wedding venue, your money is going towards supporting this wonderful local economy. For example, we had some left over wedding cake the day after our wedding which we weren’t particularly inclined to take back with up. Jay and Abby knew just who to donate all of the leftovers to. Everything Abby and Jay do they do with love, care, and integrity; supporting people who operate that way, just can’t be beat.
Overall,MY HUSBAND AND I HAD THE WEDDING OF OUR DREAMS AT MAPLE SHADE!!!!!!! We got incredibly lucky with the weather too which was amazing, but truly believe you just can’t beat this wedding venue— the Abby and Jay team, the gorgeous setting, the options for customization, and truly reasonably costs. Hands down we would recommend this venue to anyone and everyone! -

Jay and Abby were so helpful with every step of the wedding process, from planning to prep to execution! They knew exactly the questions to ask and were always willing to give us advice during our planning, and were very on top of every detail the day of. Not only does it appeal to the hopeless romantics, and rustic enthusiasts, but it offers you a personalized party for you and your guests. Jay and Abby put so much time into every couple they host, and make sure you have everything you've ever wanted- AND MORE. Everything was perfect- and even when things aren't running perfectly, Jay and Abby make sure that you never even know about it! Everything from the rustic personalized décor, to the fire works and hot dogs trucks, the best thing I ever did was trust Jay and Abby with my wedding vision. They walk you through every step and ensure you are taken care of. The moment you set foot on the venue- you just know, and you won't be disappointed! -

We first came to visit Maple Shade Farm in the off season. Though the barn and grounds were covered in snow, the property and Jay and Abby radiated warmth and we knew instantly that this was going to be our wedding venue.
Over the next 15 months we were in regular communication with Jay and Abby and they were always available for a quick chat and to talk us through any questions we had. A wedding is a funny thing in that you're only supposed to do it once so you have to rely on people with experience to help you through it and for us that was Jay and Abby.
The price was very reasonable and having access to their wonderful recommended vendors was truly the icing on the cake. From transportation to catering to bar services they offer access to a truly crack team who are not only experts in their dedicated field but friendly and flexible to boot.
From our gorgeous ceremony underneath a custom arbor and surrounded by Abby's beautiful flowers to our delicious plated dinner to our absolutely rocking party (late night hours at no additional cost is such an amazing perk!) our wedding at Maple Shade truly fulfilled the idea that your wedding day should be the best day of your life!
Jay and Abby helped us customize everything down to the smallest detail, even going so far as to set up a lovely tribute table to our cats. We are both fantasy nerds and so all along we asked Abby to help us decorate with an eye toward the whimsical stories we love so much and they executed it to a T. Our wedding at Maple Shade was truly a Fairytale! -

To any bride and groom who actually want to enjoy their wedding planning and have a totally stress free wedding day… Maple Shade is the way to go!! Jay and Abby are experts at what they do and are so easy and FUN to work with. Abby was beyond perfect with flower arrangements and went above and beyond with decorating, and Jay took all the stress away from dealing with venders & rentals. Our family was hesitant about that “Farm Wedding” idea…. but everyone was stunned when they saw how classy/rustic the farm was set up and how laid back but organized it was! We even had a whisky & cigar bar set up. How cool is that?! I can go on and on, but in a nut shell...highly recommend this venue, and we wouldn’t take back a thing. Thank you Jay and Abby for such a memorable year!!
