I planned my own wedding from top to bottom. I had to keep to a strict budget, but didn’t want to cut corners. Hair and make up artists were more expensive than I could have dreamed of across the board, and I was getting so discouraged trying to find fantastic quality for a truly reasonable price.... until I found Mane and Mascara.
It’s important for you to know that I had actually gotten my hair and make up done by costly artists that had no connection to M&M for my test run thinking the high cost would be justified by unparalleled work. That simply wasn’t the case.
I couldn’t stomach paying for yet another test run before the wedding, but also didn’t want to risk going with a brand new company on my wedding day. So I decided on a happy medium - I would do a test run with M&M for my dress rehearsal, and pray that any modifications needed could be sorted out for my wedding the following day.
Risky, I know... but, WOW, the artists were not just good, they were phenomenal. Top to bottom, this company is the way to go. Fair prices for work that is second to NONE. There wasn’t one person who didn’t love my hair and my make up for both my wedding and dress rehearsal. But, most importantly, I had never felt more beautiful. Karolina did my make up and Veronica did my hair. Both women were the kindest, most talented artists I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with.
Each of my bridesmaids, my mom, and my mother in law, were thrilled with their hair and make up, as well. That’s 9 different women with different styles and opinions who were genuinely happy with this company’s work.
I simply cannot recommend this company more. Thank you to owner, Jennifer Buetow, for being so accommodating, professional, and reliable!

Trying to plan an out of state wedding is challenging to say the least, but Jennifer the owner made the whole process much easier by being very responsive and by working with me to find that Perfect Look for my special day. The Hairstylist Hillary and Make up Artist Eadon were Absolutely Wonderful! They really listened to what I wanted and although I’m normally a Plain Jane I Definitely didn’t look or feel like one on my wedding day! I don’t know where to start with my experience. The entire process was above and beyond my expectations. I did hair and makeup with mane and mascara. Chanel did my makeup. She was so sweet and friendly and her makeup was perfect for my big day. She gave me the perfect colors and I was glowing. My hair experience was also great with Ashley. She gave me exactly what I asked for and even sewed in some rings in my hair as my something old and borrowed. Pricing was reasonable as well. I would 100% recommend mane and mascara.

I booked with Mane and Mascara for my recent wedding in April 2022, and I could not be happier with how everything turned out. When I first booked, Jen was incredibly responsive and laid out the process for me. She also accommodated multiple changes that I made regarding the number of people I'd need done and the timing. Angelika (hair stylist) and Beverly (makeup artist) came to my apartment to do my trials and were SO wonderful. They both captured my vision on the first attempt and were so, so fun to work with. My girls loved both of them on the wedding day. Angelika rocked out 10 girls - all but 2 with long hair - and Beverly did makeup flawlessly - all within our time frame. It was a wonderful day - I'd absolutely recommend them!!

Mane + Mascara was the first and only beauty vendor I contacted. I was impressed with their portfolio and how natural all their clients looked. I never wear a lot of makeup or do my hair, so it was important for me to find a company that would reflect that. Jennifer was very professional as far as getting my trials set and coordinating a timeline the day of. I hired Mane & Mascara for my wedding day to do my hair as well as 3 of my bridesmaids! We had Savannah, and from the moment she did my trial, I knew she was going to be a great fit. The morning of, she made us all feel very comfortable- and was able to do the styles shown! I ended up wanting a different style than we talked about at the last minute and she KILLED IT! It lasted all night, and my hair is long, thick, and never holds a curl. I would definitely recommend this company to any friends or family. Thank you for making my wedding day a breeze.

Jennifer and Kim were absolutely amazing! Jennifer clearly communicated the process and timeline. Kim arrived on time, quickly set up and got started. I’m not one to wear full makeup everyday so I was really no help to her explaining what I wanted, but she somehow managed to capture exactly what I needed to enhance my green eyes. Mane and Mascara was just what I needed planning a wedding during pandemic! Jennifer was so understanding with our plans changing several times and worked with me to make the wedding day a breeze. She even accommodated me adding on my mom a couple days before the big day!
Loved Jackie and Hillary! Jackie was so fun to have do my hair and had me laughing the whole time. Her warm personality will ease any wedding stress you have. She is very open to any quick changes you need done to make your look complete - she did a great job with my boho loose bun!
Hillary made sure she matched my skin tone perfectly for the airbrush and truly took my "natural & glowy" ask to heart. It is hard to have someone nail this without going too overboard. I loved dewey look she perfected!

Choosing Mane and Mascara for my wedding was one of the best decisions I made. I absolutely love Jen the owner and all of the artists that came out to do all 11 of us (me, bridesmaids, moms etc) They were all wonderful people and I love the way everyone’s hair and makeup turned out. My bridal party chose somewhat difficult looks with really cool braids and they all looked absolutely amazing! Not one complaint from anyone. All artists were prompt and we actually were perfectly on schedule (If not ahead), which I know is usually very hard to do when working with hair and makeup on a wedding timeline. I even decided to see some of the artists for personal use (extensions/hair cut/color) outside of the wedding because I love them so much! HIGHLY recommend!

Kirstin is an amazing hair stylist. She did my hair for my wedding and it was absolutely gorgeous. After my wedding, I liked her work and professionalisms so much that I started doing my hair color and haircut with her. Savannah is absolutely AMAZING and I cannot thank her enough for making my wedding hair and makeup dreams come true! Savannah did my hair, nails and makeup for my trail and wedding and it was perfect! My hair has a hard time holding a curl, but with Savannah's skill, my hair held the curl perfectly through rain, 20mph winds and dancing all night! Savannah incorporated the braids and flowers into my hair style even better than I could ever imagine! I completely loved my makeup as well; I have very sensitive skin, but Savannah was able to create the most beautiful look without any irritation! Savannah is also truly one of the sweetest, most genuine people I have ever had the pleasure to meet. I am very grateful for her talent; she made the wedding way less stressful knowing hair, make up and nails would be perfect! Savannah even fixed my nail break that happened one day before our wedding on the middle finger next to the ring finger; she is clearly awesome at everything she does! She responds quickly, always answers my (many) questions, and went above and beyond to assist me whenever I needed it. When it came to my hair and makeup appointment, her hair stylist and makeup artists Anna and Nina both did amazing jobs, were very personable, worked quickly and were a pleasure to speak with. Mane + Mascara were highly recommended to me when I was looking for updo & makeup for my daughter’s prom. Jen went above and beyond providing the best customer service and getting my daughter on the books. My daughter was scheduled with Jackie & Anna and WOW is all we can say! Just amazing is all I can say! I loved how Jen followed up before, after trial run, and day of prom! I was so pleased with how Jen runs her business that I had to get on her books for hair services. Just Amazing 😍
Jen is amazing! She was the hair stylist for my young daughter E in LA for her competitions in Jan 2019. She was patient and understanding dealing with a 5 year old with sass. Jen is a favorite of my daughter's now and when we go to LA she's always asking when can she see "her stylist." She also went above and beyond bringing in a special product to help keep her hair bobby pins from sliding out. My daughter Es hair is fine and she is growing out her bangs so it's harder to work with. But every hairstyle she did we loved! It was Es favorite thing about her competitions...hair and also the make-up. 😁
I would recommend Jen to anyone everytime! We will definitely come back to her if we get the chance. 😊

Morganne, Jackie, and Kristen were awesome to work with for our wedding! We had a very early start as our wedding was at 11 AM, but the girls were ready to go bright and early! They really took their time to make sure everyone liked their hair and makeup, and the outcome was gorgeous! Kristen even came back to do a few touch ups for the wedding party in between our ceremony and reception. Communication with Jennifer was super easy- the whole experience was wonderful! Jennifer Buetow is a seriously talented artist! I wanted an up-do but I was having trouble finding a style that I felt comfortable with and complemented with my overall look (classic, timeless glam). Before finding Mane + Mascara, I had a few unsuccessful trials with other stylists where my up-do looked too big for my head or too messy. Jennifer was able to create the most elegant look that made me feel my best. I received so many compliments on my hair! Not only did she do a great job for me, she knocked it out of the park with my Bridesmaids and my mother. Jen was on time, her pricing was reasonable and she kept us on schedule. Jennifer was so friendly while she was doing my hair and was a pleasure to work with and to have on set! She was able to do the most complex, gorgeous styles and was extremely gentle with my hair. I was beyond impressed to see what she did with my hair in a short amount of time! After each look, I would look in the mirror in awe because she made my hair look like it belonged in a Pantene commercial! It was really the best my hair has ever looked. I went to dinner after the shoot and even strangers noticed and complimented how amazing my hair looked! Also, in between shots, she would fix any little piece of hair/ flyaway to perfect the photo. Jen did my hair and she was AMAZING. I had some issues with my extensions and hair color, and she assured me that she would do everything she could do to make it work. She even contacted a hair-stylist friend to help me if my regular hair stylist wasn't available in time. I was a wreck. On the day of the wedding, Jen showed up and saved the day. My hair was exactly as I envisioned. My makeup was absolutely perfect. I wish I could look like that every day. Thank you for making my day so beautiful!

Absolutely loved the end product. Alexis was easy to talk to and made great suggestions that really accentuated my natural beauty. I was dead against fake eyelashes, and she suggested I try them gently. By the end of it, I was so glad I did try them on because they were gorgeous and very natural looking. Couldn't stop peeking at myself in the mirror ;]

Jen did such an incredible job on my hair! I have shoulder length fine hair and I asked for a French twist with a lot of height, think Texas hair. She did it in less than 30 minutes and it was perfect! It lasted through the entire day and until the party stopped around 4AM! You won't be disappointed in her professional work and attitude.

I needed my hair done for a special girls night out. Jackie was super helpful in making sure I had something that worked with my outfit and was fun! I was worried that since I have fine hair, that my style wouldn't hold up, she took care to address my concern, showed me what she was doing to compensate for it, and she was right it stayed in all night long and into breakfast the next morning!

I remember the times when I cried after going to the hair salons. Hair stylists are ARTISTS and my crying stopped when I met Kristen !
I cannot even begging to tell you just how wonderful she is!
So good with colors, cuts, wonderful customer service skills and just as importantly (especially for somebody with my previous traumas) so caring and re-assuring! Just - amazing!
You have to go see her!
