  We cannot say enough amazing things about Mary! She was professional, personable, and brought such a fun energy to our wedding day. She made us feel completely at ease in front of the camera, capturing every special moment so effortlessly. Not only did she take stunning photos, but she also kept us laughing the entire time, making the experience even more enjoyable. Her attention to detail, creativity, and ability to truly capture the essence of our day was beyond what we could have hoped for.   Best Photographer and Human!

  Mary is a dream in all ways. As a photographer but also as a human. She’s funny, caring, a great listener and makes sure to set out to make your special day, just that. On my wedding day I had a vision for a photo on a dock, Mary without any hesitation put on her waders and jumped right into the water where it was very mucky to get the shot. It’s still my favorite to this day. She doesn’t just capture your event but finds the special moments too! If you are looking for an amazing photographer but also a great experience and friend look no further!

  Mary is the best!

  Mary is such a professional, engaged and easy going photographer. She has done photo shoots for my family over the past few years and has worked with kids of all ages (even the tiny ones) and difficult adults. Her easy going personality and ability to be professional, even with difficult personalities, is a testament to her character and her abilities.
  
  She sends the pictures in an online album that are easy to access and print and we always get them 2-3 weeks after the photo shoot.
  
  Honestly, I can't recommend her enough, she's my favorite photographer to work with and we go through the pictures she sends us and try not to print on canvas every single one we get.
  
  She's also up for an experience, for instance, one year we did a treasure hunt for our photos and Mary was observing and capturing my family's adventure through her lens. Every time I look at those photos, it brings me back to those perfect moments on the beach with my family.
  
  She also came into NYC to do family pictures and successfully finagled complex family dynamics and also captured every staged picture we requested while getting in the candid pictures that are truly my favorites.
  
  I can't recommend her enough - we'll be continuing to use her for many years to come.

  No One Does it Better than Mary Latham

  We’ve asked Mary to document the most meaningful parts of our lives, including engagement, wedding and our newborn son. She handles all of these moments with such grace and she has meticulous attention to detail. She takes suggestions but she brings her own superior level of creativity. Mary has the patience of a saint when photographing children and dogs. Her presence puts everyone at ease. She is very skilled at being tactful and if you make requests about people you don’t want a lot of pictures of at your wedding, she honors it with complete discretion! We cannot recommend Mary Latham enough.

  MALA Photography is AMAZING! Mary has a way of making everyone feel at ease, and therefore she is able to capture the true essence of people through her camera lens. Her photos do not come across as staged / canned photos...they reflect genuine and beautiful human moments captured in time. Mary feels like family from the moment you meet her, and she works her magic through her photographic art. No matter the environment, Mary is capable of bringing the best out of both her subjects as well as her backdrops. Worried about weather being an issue impacting your photos? Maybe a hot day where sweating is inevitable? No worries. Clearly weather is no trouble for Mary...as you cannot even tell in our family photos that it was a sweltering and humid 90+ degree day when we had them done. Even our dog and daughter look happy to be there! I would not hesitate to hire Mary and MALA Photography for any of your photographic needs...she is worth every penny and more. I highly recommend her and her talents.

  Pure Perfection

  If you are lucky enough to land this amazingly talented photographer you have already hit the jackpot. Mary is without a doubt the BEST wedding, engagement, family, vacation photographer out there (just to name a few). We have used her for literally everything and I will continue to only entrust her with my family pictures. Her vision and eye for detail tell a story like no other. I’ve never gotten so many compliments than I do when someone sees a picture Mary took of me. She has such an eye, such a vision. Only downfall is so many people know of her talents you gotta book her quick because you will be disappointed with anyone else’s work.

  Graduation Party

  What a wonderful experience with a wonderful person. Mary is a professional. Our party was an outdoor setting with many moving parts. She immediately put everyone at ease and was able to authentically capture our guests. All the photographs were well edited and curated. Mary is a stickler for detail and works tirelessly to deliver her final product. We cannot wait to have another reason to hire her again!!!

  MALA Photography: Highly Recommended for every occasion!

  I worked with MALA photography for my boudoir shoot. Everything from choosing the location, to setting up the poses, to the ambiance, Mary’s approach was flawless, professional & creative. She created a comfortable atmosphere and also simultaneously brought out a sense of confidence in myself I didn’t know was there through her encouragement throughout the shoot & the stunning finished/edited photos.   First Family Photoshoot!

  Mary is the best!! My husband and I recently welcomed our first child into the world and became a family of three. We wanted professional photos to capture this special time and Mary did the most wonderful job! She made the whole process lighthearted, easy and comfortable! Mary listened to our ideas and incorporated them with her own experience and vision and the photos came out beautifully! She is simply talented at what she does and works by genuinely connecting with you because she cares and wants the best outcome!   Micro-Destination Wedding

  Mary absolutely rocked it at our destination wedding! The smiles and laughs she captured in our photos are some of the most genuine we've ever seen.   Mary is a literal angel. I am so thankful she captured my wedding day. She is not only the sweetest & kindest person, but she also takes AMAZING photos! Your wedding day can be chaotic but she makes you feel so comfortable and relaxed. If you are in need of a wedding photographer, Mary if your girl.
