We cannot say enough great things about our DJ team! They were truly a 10/10 and one of the best decisions we made for our wedding.
Our MC was absolutely outstanding. His English was excellent, he paid attention to every little detail, and he made sure the entire evening ran smoothly from start to finish. He kept our guests engaged, maintained the perfect energy, and did an incredible job reading the room. No matter what was happening, he knew exactly how to transition the party and keep everyone involved.
The DJ was just as amazing. Whenever guests requested a song, he would seamlessly blend it into the next few songs, keeping the same vibe and genre so nothing ever felt random or out of place. As the bride, I didn’t request a single song all night because he was doing such an incredible job that I completely trusted him. Every transition was smooth, the songs never played too long, and his mixes and loops kept the dance floor packed all night.
Our wedding had guests from all over - Americans, Africans, Dominicans, and people from cities across the U.S. - and he somehow managed to play music that got everyone up and dancing. It takes real talent to cater to such a diverse crowd, and he absolutely nailed it. No one was in their seat throughout the night!!
If you’re looking for a DJ and MC who are professional, talented, and know exactly how to create an unforgettable party, look no further. We would recommend them over and over again. They exceeded every expectation and helped make our wedding one of the best nights of our lives! -

If I could give DJ Makuto more than 5 stars, I would. They were one of the most accommodating and helpful vendors we worked with throughout the entire wedding planning process. Their communication was always clear, prompt, and made everything so much less stressful.
Their pricing is very reasonable, and they truly do everything they can to make your vision work within your budget. They even helped us customize our package by swapping out items so it fit exactly what we wanted, which we really appreciated.
We decided to splurge on the lighted tent through them, and it ended up being one of the best decisions we made. It rained for about 15 minutes around 9 p.m., and without the tent, our reception probably would have ended early. Instead, the party kept going without missing a beat.
As an added bonus, they surprised us with drone footage and photos from the night, which turned out absolutely amazing.
To top it all off, because we weren’t able to have a friend or family member officiate our ceremony, we had Jeremy, their MC, officiate for us. He was incredible. I honestly can’t put into words how amazing he was. It felt like we’d known him for years, even though we had never met him before the wedding day. He made the ceremony feel so personal, comfortable, and heartfelt. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would recommend DJ Makuto to anyone planning a wedding. -

DJ Makuto was the first vendor we booked for our wedding after reading literally hundreds of amazing reviews and we are SO glad that we did!! We had an incredible experience with them! They kept the dance floor packed all night—our guests hardly left it. Their pricing was very fair and absolutely worth every penny.
They listened to all of our song requests while also reading the crowd perfectly, mixing in songs that matched the energy and kept the party going. We received so many compliments from our guests about how much fun they had and how great the music was throughout the night. Both the DJ and the MC were incredibly kind and so easy to work with. If you’re considering booking them for your wedding or event, I can’t recommend them highly enough. They played a huge part in making our wedding such an unforgettable celebration! The music was absolutely perfect, and they kept the dance floor packed all night long! I had multiple guests tell me they *never* dance at weddings, yet they were out on the dance floor the entire night. That says it all!

We are SO happy we chose DJ Makuto and his team for our wedding! Even with the outside vendor fee at our resort, he ended up being around the same price as the resort DJ, but we got so much more for our money. We booked DJ Services #5 which came with MC services, Cold Fire, LED Lights, Robotic Lights, and a Dance Floor. I reached out to them via Whatsapp to book, then they emailed me over the confirmation and additional questionnaire to complete. The entire experience was seamless from start to finish.
Planning was incredibly easy. I basically just filled out a questionnaire with our preferences, requests, and timeline, and they handled the rest perfectly. On the wedding day, Jeremy (our MC) checked in with us before the reception started to go over everything one last time and even confirmed the pronunciation of everyone’s names, which I really appreciated.
They kept the energy up all night and played every request we had. One of the coolest moments was when they played an AI-generated song we made about our dog — DJ Makuto actually mixed it to make it sound like a real song, and it ended up being such a fun and memorable part of the night!
Another thing that really stood out to me was how attentive and professional Jeremy was throughout the evening. We had become friends with some of the resort dancers during our stay and casually invited them to come to the wedding and lead some dances, but since nothing was officially booked or paid for, I honestly wasn’t sure if they would actually show up. When they arrived, Jeremy came and found me privately first to make sure I was comfortable with them joining the party instead of just automatically letting them jump in. I thought that was such a thoughtful and professional touch.
They were responsive, professional, easy to work with, and truly an amazing DJ team. Our reception was absolutely perfect, and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a wedding DJ! -

This man KNOWS his stuff! He reads the crowd and literally plays music that everyone loves! Not kidding everyone is dancing all night even people that won’t get up to dance, they are dancing!!! We used Makuto Deejay + MC services for our wedding this past Saturday, January 17th 2026. I cannot say enough great things about them! They followed my exact vision for the dance floor and there were people out there all night long! One song after the other got the crowd going and I should add that I am a Colombian who married someone from the midwest, so there was the need for a good mix of Salsa but also American classics to keep both parties engaged. They blew it out of the park! Would highly highly recommend for your destination wedding. We had several people tell us it was the best wedding they had been to and I attribute the majority of that to Makuto and their team. 10/10!! -

DJ Makuto and Jermy were the very first vendors we booked for our wedding at Dreams Macao, and after experiencing them first hand, we completely understand why they have so many glowing reviews.
From the start, communication via WhatsApp was super quick, transparent, and thorough. We had a video call with both Jermy and Makuto where we discussed our vibe, our guests, and the overall timeline for the day. As a British couple, we knew our wedding style—and our music taste—might be a little different from the typical American weddings they’re used to, especially with the number of songs us Brits absolutely love. Even though we didn’t want to be demanding, they made us feel completely comfortable requesting specific tracks while also giving us total confidence that they were the professionals who truly knew what they were doing.
On the day, DJ Makuto and Jermy absolutely outdid themselves. Jermy was an incredible MC—so engaging, full of energy, and genuinely great fun. DJ Makuto kept the dancefloor packed the entire night; nobody wanted the party to end! Thank you so much for making our wedding so special :) -

Hired DJ Makuto for a 75 person wedding in the DR. We are from the US and heard fair reviews for our resort DJ. DJ Makuto was amazing and we would highly recommend for anyone having a destination wedding in the DR.
He arrived on time, kept our guests on the dance floor the entire time and was highly responsive to any and all requests from the time we hired them to the end of the wedding.
Our resort fees were extremely high for an outside DJ but honestly for us it was worth it. The music is one of the most important things at a wedding and I would rather splurge on this aspect of the wedding than anything else!

We had such an amazing experience using Makuto Deejay services! They made sure everyone was on the dance floor and most importantly they were able to pivot at the last minute. We had lost my stepdad about a week before the wedding and ended up needing to remove the father daughter song and change it to a more up beat song that we wanted everyone to remember him by. We paid a little extra and got the sparklers and LOVE sign, they were both a huge hit!
We cannot recommend this company enough!

From the very beginning, their communication was exceptional. They made the entire planning process feel effortless, and even provided a thoughtful outline to help us organize our music selections. Whether we had specific songs in mind or needed guidance, they were there every step of the way.
When it came to the big day, this incredible duo absolutely brought the energy. They had our entire group on the dance floor all night long, and I truly mean everyone (even my grandparents)! The vibe was electric, the transitions were flawless, and every moment felt like a celebration.
The “LOVE” letters and LED dance floor were such incredible additions. They completely transformed the space and brought everything to life! We initially were going to just use the in-house vendor for our resort and even considered just using a sound system to be more cost effective. I can't express how thankful we are that we decided to hire Deejay Makuto! The communication leading up to our wedding was wonderful and the team was so incredibly kind. I was reminded time and time again that they would do everything in their power to keep the stress down and that they did! Throughout the reception, there was constant communication to ensure names were pronounced correctly, to ask if there was anything we would like for them to announce or remind our guests of, and to just make sure they were doing everything we requested - which they always were on top of! We allowed our guests to make requests and the Deejay Makuto team ensured they were all played and did a great job at incorporating them at the perfect moment! I cannot give Makuto a big enough shout out! They were so professional, fees were affordable, GREAT SERVICE!! Literally all of my guests would not stop raving about the DJ! My husband and I did not want to sit down and create a whole wedding music sheet, we only had to give a few songs and they took care of all of it! It was amazing. We also had three different languages that needed to be incorporated and they were able to flow through the music so well and keep the dance floor busy! We used DJ makuto for our punta Cana wedding 12/12 at Hyatt ziva based on wonderful reviews from former brides at our resort. they were WONDERFUL! We did a pre wedding zoom meeting to talk through our preference sheet which put me at ease, communication was quick and smooth via WhatsApp/messenger. All of my guests complimented this service we chose and I did not sit down once all night, the music was too good!

I hired DJ Makuto for my wedding in June. Jeremy (the MC) was amazing. He interacted with the guests and was very personable and professional. We had a guest with a birthday whom he shouted out and we sang happy birthday to her. The DJ had the party rockin! We had a list of songs we wanted played that he incorporated with some picks of his own. There was a guest at a different wedding who overheard our music and said she wished their couple had hired you guys. I highly recommend. My husband and I chose to hire DJ Makuto and his emcee for our January 2024 wedding at Hyatt Ziva Cap Cana, and it was the best decision we made in our wedding planning process!
Communication prior to our wedding was prompt and thorough. DJ Makuto’s prices were reasonable, and payment was a breeze.
DJ Makuto and has team met all of our requests without hesitation - including a unique grand entrance that required audience participation. They kept the mood right and dance floor packed throughout the evening and provided an all around exceptional service. I would book DJ Makuto without hesitation for future events and highly recommend others do the same!

DJ Makuto and his emcee were amazing! They went above and beyond to ensure that our 100+ guests had the time of their life on the dance floor. We got married at the Hyatt Zilara Cap Cana and had heard so many great things about Makuto & team from past brides that we decide to take a chance as well. Music (and photography) was the most important aspect of our wedding for me and he truly exceeded my expectations. I made a general list of songs we love (and songs we didn't want played) and allowed him to take the reins from there. From dinner to the dance floor, the mood and vibe were right from start to finish.
We also used the Makuto team for the bistro light installation at our reception and I would highly recommend him for that as well. Thank you DJ Makuto and team.
*I also want to add that his manager was *extremely* responsive and professional throughout the entire process from the moment we originally reached out. -

I couldn’t recommend DJ Makuto and MC Jermy more! Get on their books!!! Package 2 plus the vendor fee was cheaper than the on-site DJ & MC prices so 100% worth the vendor fee. They were so flexible and thorough with the details! They had us dancing the entire time. Everything from the songs to the announcing was done perfectly. I’m a type A person, so their Spotify playlist option for song suggestions was perfect for me! The timeline changed and they were amazing and pivoted without stressing me or my husband out. We kept our wedding day budget slim but their service was absolutely worth it! -

Deejay Makuto was exactly what we needed and wanted to make our wedding day absolutely perfect! Even though we had to change our timeline a few weeks before our big day, all the changes were kindly accommodated by them. The MC was so nice, easy to talk to, and funny! The DJ did a phenomenal job playing all the songs I requested and mixed in other songs perfectly! Our dance floor was full the whole evening and I never left the dance floor it was so much fun. The cold fires were timed to go off perfectly with the lift at the end of our first dance. The dancefloor was really fun and the lights were all worth it! Using Deejay Makuto was the best and easiest decision of the whole wedding planning process. All our guests said it was the best wedding they've ever been to! Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU! -

Both DJ Makuto and the MC were amazing! They were professional, fun, and super engaging! We allowed Makuto to choose music based on our preferences and he did amazing! I was really worried about keeping people dancing since the reception was small, but people were on their feet all night. One thing I LOVED was that Makuto always played requests the very next song - no waiting all night for your requests (if wedding party allows!). I would do it again 1000x over. Super affordable and well worth it! -

A night worth remembering. DJ Makuto had our guests dancing up until the last minute. Jermy, the MC was great about including all the things we had asked him to include that night and had such great personality! Our reception started a little later than scheduled and they were both accommodating and got everything back on track and rolled with the punches. We had so many people come up to us and tell us what an amazing DJ and MC we chose! I knew they would be wonderful and I'm glad everyone else agreed! -

Absolutely amazing!
They were amazing! Very responsive, rolled with the punches when we added a wardrobe change and added a speech. Maputo kept everyone on the dance floor! We had a mixed crowd of all ages and he still kept everyone dancing. MC Jeremey was amazing as well! He kept the party flowing, worked with us on when to change wardrobes and was super flexible with last minute changes.

Deejay Makuto I will start by saying that he is so responsive! He helped me and gave me so much input for the past year thru my planning process.
My expectations were beyond exceeded.
He kept the crowd dancing allllll night ! He played great music keeping our favorites in mind.
We did Dominican Crazy Hour and it was AMAZING ! Everyone was having so much fun it really was a great way to kick off the party. Everyone is still talking about how good the music was at the wedding.
Also he captured some great drone shots and shared them with us which we didn’t expect but we’re so amazing !!!
Jeremy was our officiant and MC. He made our ceremony so beautiful there was not a dry eye in the audience. The way he spoke and the readings he shared were simply beautiful.

We hired DJ Makuto after countless great reviews. He by far exceeded our expectations! We got married at Hyatt Ziva Cap Cana on May 26th. Everything was set up and the music was going when we got up there. Even during dinner people kept coming up to me saying that they loved the music they were playing. From the time the reception started to the very end of the night, not a single person left the dance floor. The music was great, even my 80 year old grandma was dancing all night! He communicated with myself and the groom all night and kept us up to date with what was doing on. We added an extra hour about two weeks before the wedding and he was totally flexible and got everything updated on the same day we reached out. We are home a week later and people are still reaching out to us about how much fun they had and how the DJ completely made the night. Thank you so much to DJ Makuto and the entire team!!!! -

My husband and I got married at Hyatt Ziva Cap Cana last Saturday, May 6th, and hiring Deejay Makuto was the best decision I made for my wedding. I personally think that a good DJ can make or break a wedding, and he made ours. He was professional, responsive, and so prepared. His MC Jeremy was also incredible. We met with the two of them briefly via Zoom before the big day, so when the day came he knew every little thing and made the reception run so smoothly. They also coordinated with my photo and video team the night of so that everyone was on the same page about the big moments. I highly recommend this team, they will not disappoint! -

As soon as I started planning my wedding I knew Dj Makuto was going to be apart of it! He is so easy to work with and extremely responsive! I had no doubts that he was going to bring the party! I loved how he played all the songs that I had listed for him.. I spent the whole night on the dance floor! I did end up extending my reception the extra hour.. if your paying all this money to have a wedding what’s an extra $800 or so at the end of the day! The reception flew by and I wish I could have extended it another hour! I did have a dance floor and the cold fire which was an awesome touch everyone loved it! I would 100% recommend Dj Makuto and his team to everyone! Jeremy was the MC and he was amazing !!! -

Destination Wedding Dj!!
Best decision I made was hiring dj Makuto and team as our destination wedding dj! From the moment we messaged them they were very responsive and accommodating. We sent them our song list a few weeks before and also had a zoom meeting with them. The day of the wedding we went through everything and they were so attentive the whole night. MC was amazing and all my guests loved him. Everyone was dancing the whole night and had a blast. We did the LED dance floor which was a hit and looked great in photos and they also gave us cold fire for the first dance which looked so nice. Do not hesitate to hire them they know what they are doing and you will have the best night of your life ! -

Excellent communication and professionalism from Makuto via FB Messenger, with very reasonable pricing for his DJ services for our wedding. He was swift to respond to any questions or concerns we had right thru from the early planning stages and up to the day of the wedding. He offered easy solutions for me to transfer my own music files to him for the wedding reception. Early on into our Messenger chats, he introduced us to Jermy, his MC and our wedding host, who again, was easy to communicate our vision of the wedding with, with respects to wedding party introductions, speeches, first dance, to special requests for dances. We recognized Makuto when we arrived at the Dreams Macao resort, and he us, greeting us with a big, warm welcome! Ever the gentleman, we chatted how I too am a DJ, and he honoured me by allowing me to spin a few tunes at the dance! The sound and lighting were more than sufficient, along with the little extras, such as the "A&J" illuminated letters that his company could provide us with. Now, our wedding reception was located within the garden, and while it did rain for approximately 20 minutes during the dance, the weather forecast was not such that we were concerned about moving the event. If there was a big concern for rain the morning of our wedding, we would have discussed plans with the resort for canopies for the DJ equipment which had to be shut down and covered during the rain. This certainly did not spoil the event, with the slight rain we had, and we were quickly able to continue with the dance once the rain stopped. Makuto played several special tracks for us along with plenty of favourites that kept our guests entertained. We posed for pictures at the end of the night with Makuto and Jermy, and many of our guests said this was the best wedding they attended with exceptional music and pacing of the reception from beginning to end. Finally, my bride and I were able to chat with Makuto and Jermy thru the week at other wedding receptions, discussing different set ups and music, etc. More than just our DJ and MC for our event, we have become friends, and I look forward to sharing my music and mixes with the guys in the near future! Book with the Best!
I first found Makuto on a destination wedding Facebook group when looking for recommendations for Djs in the Punta Cana area, his name was the one that popped up the most! I sent him a message on Facebook and from our first few exchanges I knew he would be perfect! He was so awesome and quick response times and going over the different packages and working with you to figure out what best one for your dream wedding! After booking, communication leading up the wedding was fantastic! Planning a destination wedding can be hard when so much has to be done through email, and he made the process so easy! We filled out a document leading up to the wedding with all the detailed information to make the day run smoothly from the order of introductions, song choices for dances, cake cutting etc to all the music we did and did not want played at the wedding! On the day of the wedding, not only did the reception run so smoothly with the transitions from one thing to the next but the music was PERFECTION! So many guests had said how great the music was and they kept people on the dance floor the whole night!! In addition to the music, they brought all the final touches that made our wedding truly the most perfect day we could have ever imagined! They provided the LOVE sign, hung all the lights, the dance floor, and my personal favorite, the cold fires for our first dance which truly made for an epic picture and moment we will remember forever! They were so accommodating to any changes we needed along the way. For example, we had to upgrade the dance floor after realizing we had more guests than when we first booked. So many people say that a Dj/MC can make or break a wedding because they really control the flow of the whole night… and I can truly say they made the whole night!!!! I couldn’t recommend them enough!!! -

Made our wedding reception perfect!
If any bride is questioning on what DJ to use, hands down use Makuto Deejay. They are absolutely amazing, professional, courteous, well prepared, more than you can ever imagine. They had all our guests dancing. The booking process was so easy and they were always responsive. I didn’t want any rap and there was a rap song that was requested, they came up to me and asked me if it was ok to play. They told me what song it was and I thought that was awesome of them to ask before playing it. I ok’d it and they played the song. If we could change one thing it would have been to extend our wedding reception to go longer cause we all weren’t ready to be done dancing.
