If you are needing a hair & makeup artist for your upcoming wedding look no further. Irene and her team of skilled professionals are the absolute best of the best.
She brought a team of 3 hair stylists and 3 makeup artists for my wedding day. They were able to finish myself, 10 bridesmaids, 3 moms, and my flower girl within 4.5-5 hours and we even got done early!!
During my trial with Irene and Fabiola, I was so impressed with their technique and skill. I felt confident that I would be in good hands on my wedding day. On the day of the event, they were right on time and had everything set up and ready to go in our bridal suite.
Irene is absolutely talented and has an eye for makeup. I felt like a princess on my wedding day, and cannot thank her and her team enough for making this bride so happy! xoxoMakeup Vallarta's reply:

Such an amazing team! They were patient, listened to exactly what I wanted, and made me feel so beautiful on my wedding day. Not only did they style my hair, but they also were mindful and took CARE of my hair. They also really took the time to understand the look I was going for and were so supportive. They also took amazing care of my wedding party. Truly grateful for how special they made the day feel....highly recommend!

Irene and Paola did an amazing job at both my trial and my wedding day. From the moment we started, they truly listened to exactly what I wanted and brought my vision to life so beautifully. They were so attentive throughout the entire process and made every little change I asked for without hesitation, which made me feel so comfortable and taken care of on such an important day.
I opted for airbrush makeup and it was absolutely flawless. It lasted ALL day and night, through everything and trust me it was HOT at 6 PM. 😅🤣My hair held perfectly the entire time as well, which honestly felt like magic considering how long the day was.
They even went above and beyond helping me put my veil on and incorporating flowers into my hair, which ended up being one of my favorite details 🥹🌸
Not only are they incredibly talented, but they also brought such a calm, supportive energy to the day. I felt confident, beautiful, and fully myself, and that’s everything you could ask for as a bride.

One of the best memories of my wedding day!!
Irene and her team made my getting ready one of the best moments of my wedding day!!. She is professional on every aspect, her treatment was on point all the time, her energy is a must have on moments like that, she make everyone feel special not just pretty, she went beyond my expectations on every level, definitely one of the highlights of my wedding day! Irene and team from Makeup Vallarta exceeded all of my expectations for hair and makeup for my wedding day. Since this was a destination wedding for us we were not able to do a trial until 2 days before the wedding and this was no problem at all. Irene understood my vision perfectly for natural makeup that would photograph great on Camera. We had 5 people getting hair and makeup done and everyone was so pleased with their looks - including my mom who never like the way her hair looks!! First time ever getting professional makeup done. I did not have enough time for a HAMU trial so I was a little nervous and did not know what to expect. Irene made the whole process incredibly easy. She has the best communication and made me feel like she was the one. The day of, she arrived on time and her team did all of my bridesmaids and some family members HAMU (total of ~10). Everyone looked stunning! I was the bride and Irene ABSOLUTELY exceeded all expectations. I loved my makeup, it was so natural and so beautiful and I just felt like the most beautiful girl ever. South Asian Bride!
What an amazing experience with the Makeup Vallarta team! They are not only kindest people but also SO talented! Ireri is amazing and Kyrie did my hair. and the rest of the team did my bridal party and they looked absolutely STUNNING! I would say to make sure you have your inspiration photos because they will go based off of your instructions and will perfect your curated look for you! Irene is a very skilled makeup artist! I signed up for airbrush makeup and hair through Makeup Vallarta. My trial went AMAZING (as seen in the photo in the white jumpsuit), although my curls fell out quickly since we were on a windy beach and my hair was down.
The day of the wedding also went well. My bridesmaid and my mother were all extremely happy with their hair and makeup! We had two junior bridesmaids as well that we're able to achieve some youthful braids and natural makeup. We were running behind schedule, so it did feel rushed when we got to my makeup (I was last), and I had to miss some of my photo time with my bridesmaids, which was disappointing.
Overall this team is very highly skilled so make sure you budget ample time to let them do their magic.Makeup Vallarta's reply:

I can’t say enough good things about Irene and her glam squad!!! They were easy to communicate with up front, very flexible when we had to change resorts the night before the wedding because of Hurricane Lidia 😵💫, and SO KIND to my bridal squad during the day of the wedding. We all loved our hair and makeup and the airbrush makeup lasted all evening at our beachside ceremony and reception! Most of my bridal party got airbrush makeup and their hair done. I forgot my clip in extensions at home and was genuinely impressed with how they were able to make my low bridal bun still come to life. Makeup Vallarta gets 10/10 stars from my crew! Incredible Experience
The Makeup Vallarta team exceeded our expectations on our wedding day. They did a great job of following photo inspiration and adjusting when necessary. I could not have been happier with my bridal hair and makeup. I do not wear a lot of makeup and was very nervous about not looking like myself when getting full glam. I communicated all of this to Irene and she did such a great job of making sure I was comfortable with everything she did!
I also had a totally different vision for my hair before speaking with Irene. I wanted to wear my hair down and she talked through why that could be a bad idea because of the humid climate (while at the same time telling me I can do whatever I wish). I really appreciate a vendor who can be friendly but honest with a bride to help adjust their vision for success.

Irene and her team did a fabulous job for me and my 12 bridesmaids. No easy feat with that many people involved! They were very prompt, super organized and professional! Me and my husband got married in March 2022 at the beautiful W Punta Mita hotel. After reading the raving reviews about Irene at Makeup Vallarta and looking into her work myself, I made the decision to go with Irene and I am so glad I did. I met with Irene and one of her hair stylists a few days before the wedding to do a hair and makeup trial, and they got what I was asking for on the first try. For my wedding I had 5 bridesmaids. I also included hair and makeup for my mom, my mother-in-law, and the flower girl. Each person provided what kind of hair and makeup they wanted, and Irene and her team delivered! I was very happy with everyone's hair and makeup, but more importantly I was very happy with my hair and makeup. Irene and her team even squeezed him some additional guests who wanted their hair and makeup done. Throughout the whole process Irene was very professional and communicative which is part of the reason for my 5 star review because my wedding was a destination wedding (I do not live in Mexico). So if you are in the Puerto Vallarta area and are looking for a hair and make up artist, whether it be for your wedding or a photoshoot, I highly recommend the Makeup Vallarta.Makeup Vallarta's reply:

I had a team of three come for my wedding, whether to do six peoples hair and make up. They listen to exactly what we wanted, my hair was amazing. My make up was amazing my mom, my best friends all looked amazing. Two of them they just did updos blowouts, and it was perfect. I would recommend them to every bride getting married for sure and other occasions I’m sure that they do. Would hire Makeup Vallarta again in a heartbeat!
Working with Irene and her team was magical! Irene and I met virtually through a Google mtg (during the pandemic, Spring 2021), and she was very patient with all of my questions/concerns. Luckily, we met in-person a few months later in August 2021. She did my make-up trial, on the day of my engagement photoshoot, and Fabiola did my hair. Both looks were amazing and pretty close to the pictures I showed them. The coolest part of our trial was how they quickly transformed my wedding look to an “engagement” look (fishtail braid!). August in Puerto Vallarta is STEAMY, HOT & HUMID. The photographer was drenched in sweat after our session, and my make-up and hair looked flawless. I opted for the airbrush - fantastic tip from Irene!
Fast-forward to April 2022, Irene, Fabiola and the rest of the team showed up on time and were proactive about staying on time. They work efficiently, they’re very careful with their tools and clean/sanitize after each client (one of the main reasons I booked with them), and they have bilingual artists.
I have so much respect for Irene and her team. I don’t wear much makeup and my goal was to still look like myself. Irene understood this perfectly and helped me achieve the look I was craving! It was great not to worry about having too much make-up and it looking cakey, uneven, or oily. They styled and did make-up for 11 of us total. My mom has eye allergies, and they were beyond careful to use the appropriate products for her & make sure she felt comfortable. Also, just about all of my bridal party has thick hair and lots of it - not a problem for this team at all. If I could have my wedding again this weekend, Irene and her team would be on my top 3 must haves.Makeup Vallarta's reply:

Beautiful Hair and Makeup!!!
Our relationship with Irene Guerediaga (Makeup Vallarta) began March of 2020. She was flexible through two reschedules of our date due to Covid, and met us in December of 2021 to do a trail-run. Irene and her partner (that did hair) were INCREDIBLE and worked hair and make-up magic in the heat and humidity of PV. My wife and I, along with our two best friends/officiants, looked beautiful for our special day, and many of our guests commented on how amazing we all looked. So, 4 hair and make-up sessions in one day with kindness, humor, flexibility and a calm presence, not to mention it looked fabulous - we HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!Makeup Vallarta's reply:

Amazing hair & makeup for my wedding day!!
Irene, Fabi & the rest of her team (specifically Mary, Ale & Diego) are incredible and they truly made me and my bridesmaids feel so beautiful on my wedding day! It can be stressful as destination wedding bride to book hair and makeup without meeting or having an initial trial but Irene and her team are extremely talented and extremely organized with their time and communication. I was lucky enough to do a bridal trial with Irene and Fabi when we were in Punta Mita for a wedding planning trip and we ended up completely pivoting from that look to what we did for my wedding. I had Irene and Fabi do my hair and makeup for our rehearsal which was more of a natural makeup and updo and then we did something similar for the wedding day but slightly more glam and elevated. I found when researching hair and makeup teams, that the style in Mexico can be much more heavy and full glam vs. what I'm use to the US. Irene and her team very much get the American glam style of makeup and can be as natural or as full glam as you want. I couldn't recommend them enough! The entire team was so nice, extremely professional, on time and diligent with their timeline for the wedding day. Her team was able to do 14 hair (bride + 10 bridesmaids & 2 moms) and 11 makeup (bride + 2 moms and + 8 bridesmaids) within 6 hours and we ended up finishing ahead of schedule. Thank you Irene, Fabi & Team for everything! (P.S. - to fellow brides when researching - Irene's camera uses a filter so I noticed that the Instagram posts don't necessarily show the true colors of the makeup. Not a bad thing but I hope these photos with no filter help show her talent!) -

Phenomenal Make Up
I cannot say enough about how beautiful everyone's make up was. Irene definitely knows what she is doing and the color matches were PERFECT! Irene and her team were AMAZING!
I was so nervous about getting my makeup done in Mexico (for my wedding) and Irene did better than I ever could have imagined. Everyone looked so beautiful. Professional and quality service
I found Irene with Makeup Vallarta when searching for an experienced makeup artist in PV. She was prompt with her response, showed up at my hotel on time, and was the most professional and kind artist I've worked with. She brought all of her own products including makeup, hair (they were Moroccan oil-based and smelled amazing), and was even equipped with a ring light. You can tell she is equally experienced in both makeup and hair. My curls were perfect and lasted in the humidity. My makeup didn't smear or smudge at all for the rest of the evening. The look was exactly what I hoped for and matched the styles I sent her. I love Irene's passion for what she does and keen attention to detail. I will be booking her next time we come back. Irene and her team did hair and makeup for myself and my bridesmaids this past month. Irene was a dream to work with -- incredibly professional, friendly, warm, and talented! What I appreciated most about Irene and her team was that they wanted to make sure I was 100% happy and comfortable with how I looked on my wedding day. My hair was done by Alejandro and he nailed my hollywood waves look! Aside from all of this, the night before the wedding, my brother had an accident that scraped his face. Luckily Irene was there and covered it up so well that nobody could even tell what happened! It was literally like magic! Overall I had a great experience with this team. I would make one suggestion for brides out there -- try not to be the last one for hair and makeup that day. Amazing wedding makeup!
Irene and the team at Makeup Vallarta did mine and my bridesmaids’ hair and makeup for my wedding last week, and they were phenomenal! The initial booking was easy and they were easy to communicate with. We showed them some inspiration photos and they made everything look even better than the photos! First off, the made the booking process extremely easy. They were very responsive and helpful in answering all of my questions before the wedding day. I had to change the timing a few times and they were very flexible and understanding. This made me feel confident that I had made the right choice for hair and makeup! On my wedding day, everyone looked amazing! They kept our makeup very natural but made sure it would stay fresh all day, even in the sun. They were able to create the exact hairstyles everyone wanted and were happy to do touch-ups to ensure the curls stayed. Leigha Sent on 02/18/2018The whole team Irene, Fernardo and Gabi were absolutely amazing. My practice session was the perfect way to test out my hair and make-up before the wedding and then we did our trash the dress photo session after. I sent them pictures of hair and make-up before and they were incredibly close to what the pictures were. I had both hair and make-up done for myself, 4 bridesmaids and the mother of the bride and groom. Make sure you have enough time scheduled for your party though as it does take time to do the airbrushing. The airbrush make-up really did last through heat and humidity although it wasn't that hot in Puerto Vallarta at the end of January. My hair was an up-do and it was beautiful! Lasted most of the night through lots of dancing. Highly recommend this team - they were very fun, friendly and made us all comfortable. Not to mention we all looked stunning!
