  I am a bride from NYC and had a destination wedding in Miami with no time to go down to Miami and meet anyone for hair and makeup trials. After long and extensive research I decided to book hair/makeup with Miriam from seeing such great reviews about her and I am THRILLED that I did! My mother, my 4 bridesmaids and I got our hair and makeup done by her and her wonderful assistant, Jess. Everyone picked their own hair and makeup style and she mastered every single style. We all felt so beautiful. As a person who gets hair and makeup done at very high end places in NYC, I am extremely pleased with her work and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND booking her for your wedding day as she is talented, professional and very fun!!

  Miriam was quite simply perfect for me and my wedding party. I was referred to Miriam by my photographer. Because I was planning my South Florida wedding from Chicago, I first met Miriam at my hair and make up trial two days before my wedding. Nevertheless, her professionalism and flexibility in scheduling during the months prior made me feel like I was in good hands.
  
  During our trial session, Miriam's calming influence and easy-going demeanor was a welcome change of pace from the hustle and bustle of the wedding week. I think it contributes to her success at bringing out her subject's natural beauty. I was so impressed by her work! She made me look like the best and most glamorous possible "me" not an overly-painted mask. Moreover, on the day-of, Miriam created a unique hairstyle (which we had not practiced at the trial at my suggestion) which knocked the socks off all my guests!
  
  Miriam was also incredibly kind and flexible with some scheduling changes on the wedding day. All of my girls, including my very nervous mother and my tom-boy sister felt totally at home and calmed by Miriam. And EVERYONE looked beautiful! What can I say? She (and her assistant) really helped make my wedding day more beautiful and more joyful.

  I cannot say enough good things about miriam! She is a true artist and amazing at her craft!
  Miriam did my bridal parties hair and makeup and mine as well.
  First she did my moms hair and makeup. WOW!! My mom looked amazing! Her hair and makeup came out more beautiful than i could have ever imagined! She even did some lashes on her eyes to make them pop!
  My mom was ecstatic! For the first time, she said she felt beautiful!  I was so impressed by the patience and dedication to the little details in her work!
  
  My sister (maid of honor) was next. She did the most fabulous updo on her! It was so elegant and pretty! She then did her makeup which came out beautiful! She matched the makeup to what i wanted so that it went with the  soft feminine look i was trying to achieve. 
  
  Then she did my makeup and hair. The makeup was soft and pretty. Which is exactly what i dreamed it would be! I love that she takes her time and asks you what YOU want!  She curled my hair since i wore it down. It stayed curled all night!!! Even through dancing and moving! I was ecstatic!!  I felt amazing all night!
  
  Miriam really was FABULOUS! She was easy to get in touch with and everything was great! From the trial til the wedding day. I got exactly what I wanted and the makeup job for me, my mom, and sister was amazing! Everyone was sooo happy!!
  For all the brides looking for the most amazing makeup and hair on thier special day, Miriam is by far the best there is!!

  Miriam and her assistant did my hair and makeup for my wedding as well as my wedding party and family members hair. She did a fantastic job. My makeup was done with her airbrush technique and it looks great in my wedding pictures and natural. My hair was done even better than I pictured it in my head. She was professional and on time. I wasn't able to meet with her ahead of time because it was a destination wedding but it didn't matter....I couldn't have asked for a better experience!!! Thanks Miriam!

  Miriam makes sure that you look and feel the BEST you possibly can on your wedding day. She is perfect for a bride who wants to look like the best version of themselves while still looking natural. My entire wedding was outside and having caked-on makeup was a big concern of mine. I had done airbrush makeup in the past as a bridesmaid and did not like the result. Miriam's skills and technique make sure you look flawless! Miriam even came to my venue with me and touched me up as I had a lot of photos outside before the ceremony.
  
  Overall, Miriam is an artist and she truly loves what she does. When she is doing your hair and makeup she takes all the time she needs and is very detail oriented so that she achieves the look that you want.

  I can't say enough about Miriam! My makeup stayed on perfectly throughout the night while still feeling light and comfortable. And the best part was that I still looked like myself! Miriam does not cake on products in an effort to achieve the bridal look. Her makeup is flawless while still looking natural. And my hair was perfect! If anyone is considering extensions, GO FOR IT. It was so worth it, and I received many compliments throughout the night.
  
  Not only is Miriam a top-notch professional and amazing at her craft, she is also a genuinely nice person that truly cares about her brides. She helped me stay relaxed while working her magic.   Miriam did my airbrush makeup and also brought an amazing hair stylist for my wedding and did an amazing job! My skin and hair were absolutely flawless. I got so many compliments and I felt sooooo "glamorous", "classic", and "beautiful".
  
  I would recommend her to anyone who is wanting to look perfectly stunning for their big day!

  Miriam is amazing!!!! Professional and talented. She was an absolute pleasure to work with. I danced all night long and my make-up still looked flawless.   I chose to hire Miriam for my wedding day Oct. 2, 2011 to do hair/makeup for my Mom and I. I read many reviews of her work online, and finding them all superb I had her come to my house. And I was not disappointed! Miriam is kind-hearted, funny and warm person and a delight to work with. The fake eyelashes she put on us were amazing, I looked more beautiful in the photos than ever and I am very impressed with her work. She even taught me some make up tricks! I would recommend her without reservation to anyone who is serious about looking their best for any event. She is a little pricier than say the local hair salon, but you will not be sorry! She is totally professional and does an excellent job. Every time I look at the photos, I am so happy I chose Miriam to be my stylist- she is the best!!!

  I felt like the prettiest girl in the world on my wedding day thanks to Miriam! I wanted to look like myself only better, and she achieved that and a whole lot more. My updo did not budge an inch all night, and my airbrush make-up and false eyelashes were still intact for the after party--even after a dip in the pool! She also did hair and make-up for my mother (who looked gorgeous) and, with the help of an assistant, created amazing hairstyles for my four bridesmaids that they all loved. Not only Miriam was so much fun to be around, but she even helped me calm my jitters throughout the beautification process. Book her and you will not regret it!

  Miriam is hands down the best out there! Not only is her work AMAZING but she is sweet, funny and a pleasure to work with. My mom LOVED the way she looked, as did the rest of my bridal party. Of course, she made me look best of all (she did exactly as I asked as opposed how other makeup artists would do what they think was best). Love her and her work and would give her ten stars if I could.

  Miriam was the best makeup artist/stylist for my wedding. I am an African-American bride and my bridal party was mixed with various ethnicities, skin tones and undertones. She did an awesome job! Everyone looked better than fantastic. It really makes a difference in the photos - all of our makeup and hairstyling was cohesive and blended well with the overall color scheme. She is very professional and also did an outstanding job on our on location photo shoot. Very calm, creative, and professional, and pleasant to work with. She can transform anyone into a beauty queen - truly gifted:)

  Miriam Behar was an absolute angel to work with. After looking at website after website of Miami makeup artists who had photos of brides with crazy eyeshadow and thick eyeliner and bold lips, I was relieved to see Miriam made her brides look naturally beautiful. I'm not one to wear a lot of makeup, so Miriam did a great job making my makeup look natural, but still allowing me to look more "dolled up" than usual. She even included false eyelashes in the price. I NEVER thought I would wear false eyelashes, but her execution and their natural look made me love them (as did my mother, grandmother and several of my bridesmaids who got their hair and makeup done with me). During my hair/makeup trial, Miriam asked me about my skin type, how I usually wear my makeup, my hair, etc. I gave her a few photos of hair and makeup that I liked and she reproduced it perfectly to fit me. I was afraid the look wouldn't be the same on my wedding day, but she did a great job. I'd recommend Miriam and her team to anyone and would definitely use her services again.

  My daughter and I hired Miriam to provide hair and makeup services for her wedding on 2/26/11. My daughter was looking for a beautiful and natural makeup style. Miriam's website with bridal pictures was exactly what she was looking for. We hired her and the month before her wedding, she had her hair and makeup trial. Miriam was very professional and personable. My daughter and I had a great time at the trial. It took 2 hours to complete the transformation and my daughter looked stunning! Her hair and makeup were flawless! I knew then we had made the right decision on hiring Miriam.
  On the day of the wedding, Miriam and her assistant, Jess arrived at 5:30 am. They arrived ready to work and that they did. 2 women getting ready every hour. Grandmother of the bride, me (mother of the bride), 4 bridesmaids and the bride. We all looked gorgeous!
  Miriam and Jess were so much fun to work with. We had such a great morning getting ready. My daughter's hair and makeup lasted all day, even through all the tears and dancing at her outdoor reception.
  I highly recommend Miriam Behar! She is worth every penny!

  Miriam was AMAZING! She was such a pleasure to work with and very talented at both makeup and hair (hard to come by these days). She was such a joy and really put me at ease on my wedding day. Every thing she touched for my wedding was perfect. The wedding photos turned out amazing - a big thanks to her and all her hard work.   My experience with Miriam was fantastic!! She was very sweet and easy to talk to about what I had in mind for my wedding day. Miriam did my makeup for my engagement photo shoot and wedding night. I wanted something a little different for each session and Miriam did what I asked for and more! My makeup was better than what I had imagined and came out gorgeous in pictures. I loved the airbrush foundation. It felt so light and lasted all day perfectly! She was very professional and clean, which I appreciated. I would use Miriam again and definitely recommend her services.

  Miriam was absolutely wonderful! Her quality of work was beautiful. My make up and hair was just perfect for my wedding and the pictures prove it. I got so many compliments! I would definitely refer her to any of my friends. It was a big relief to not have to worry about that on my day.

  Miriam was AMAZING and without question, my favorite vendor for our entire wedding! We connected immediately over the phone and I just knew she could accomplish any look I wanted from her. My trial run was fantastic and I was so excited, but my thoughts about my look changed just a bit over the months between my trial and my wedding and I wanted it just a bit "softer." Miriam knew EXACTLY what I meant! I was struggling with some hairloss due to a thyroid issue and also, during my trial run she gave me some skin care advice. I followed up with the derm on her skin care advice and my skin was literally the best it has been in 20 years! She also somehow memorized my hair color from our trial and brought a hairpiece just in case I needed it on my wedding day - I did and it matched PERFECTLY! I never even asked her to do that, but her response was "that she provides whatever she needs to ensure my look is perfect."
  
  Needless to say, she did the most UNBELIEVABLE JOB WITH MY HAIR AND MAKE-UP and I can honestly say that I felt the most beautful I have ever felt in my entire life! I received so many complements - I just felt absolutely amazing!!! And my groom thought I was stunning and he "gives her top ratings too!" :o)
  
  On top of all of that, she is timely and calm and she and her assistant took care of my entire wedding party, while I - a well known control freak - didn't even wear a watch or worry about the time once! Miriam actually finished 20 -30 min ahead of time and my photographer got to start earlier and we had more photo-taking time.
  
  I can never thank Miriam enough and I would recommend her without reservation to everyone! She is truly a gifted artist :o).

  Miriam was amazing as a professional and also as someone to just chat with while you have ten thousand emotions soaring through you on that day. I appreciated how calm she was, it was very soothing. Being a jaded new-yorker I was a bit hesitant about trusting anyone I didn't know to my hair and makeup, I reviewed her portfolio (which doesn't do her justice btw) and took a leap of faith, best decision ever!! Everyone is still raving about how gorgeous my hair and makeup were, especially since I wanted something more glam and less bridal.

  Ten years ago,I was not happy with my hair and make-up on my wedding day. So, when my husband and I decided to renew our wedding vows on our tenth year anniversary,(September 18,2010) I made a vow, that this time, it will be different.Miriam was highly recommended by both my photographers and wedding coordinator(they all have never worked together before).First, I checked her website, I found a fully made up Filipina bride!Then, i checked the reviews.Yes, I am a Filipina and a mother of 3 toddlers, i rarely wear make-up,that's why when I go to the salon for hair and make-up, it frustrates me sometimes when i see that my eyes were not made up the way i wanted to.But with Miriam, i found hope. A hope to look at my best on my renewal.And she did not disappoint me a bit,Miriam did my hair and make-up on my "pre-renewal"photos and wedding day. She was very accomodating,punctual and well-organized.She is very hygienic with the way she uses her stuff too. She made me feel calm when she saw that I was a little bit stressed, she was a joy to work with. I consider her as my "fairy godmother" for she has transformed me into such an elegant bride.I have been receiving a lot of compliments from the photoshoot up to the wedding day. If you are looking for a good make-up artist and hair stylist,Miriam is a "fairy godmother" in disguise.

  Miriam came to my home to get myself and daughter ready for my sons Bar-Mitzvah...Words cant explain how great I looked ...She put in hair extensions and made me look like a princess!!!! I would highly recommend her!!!!!

  I had a fairy-tale like wedding on April 4th, 2010, the kind that every little girl dreamt about since the age of four. Mine came together better than I can ever imagine, and one of the person I'd like to thank from the bottum of my heart is Miriam, my makeup artist. She made me look flawless!!
  Her and I worked on my look from hair style to makeup in January. She did a trial for me and I loved it. I ended up taking my engagement pictures in my trial look and they came out gorgeous!! She also did an amazing job on my lash extensions. I felt really really beautiful, and I think every bride deserves to feel that way.
  She kept excellent notes and a face diagram of what we spoke about in January, and by the time my wedding rolled around in April, she was ready to rock! Everyone complimented me on how gorgeous my updo looked and what a beautiful bride I was.
  Not to mention, due to all the nerves and stress from pre-wedding tensions, I had a huge pimple on my chest where it was very visible in my strapless wedding gown. I kept hoping it would go away in time, but the mark didn't. I ran to Miriam and she made that disappear!
  She was so calm and cheerful, she really helped me keep calm hours before the ceremony, and she reminded me to enjoy every moment.
  I just wanted to take a moment to say how truly thankful I am.

  Miriam is awesome! I'd totally recommend her, she did both hair and make up for my wedding on 7/24 (yesterday) and I already had the urge to let you all know how wonderful she is. It was a pleasure working with her, she is very professional but so nice! she made me laugh and forget about being nervous about my own wedding. At the end the results were amazing, my make up and hair couldn't had looked better.

  Miriam exceeded my expectations on my wedding day. I had a very early wedding that morning and she showed up in a timely manner and did me and my friend's hair and makeup. She's not only knowledgeable and passionate about what she does but has a pleasant disposition. She was an absolute joy to work with! She was receptive to my needs and made me look beautiful and radiant. My husband couldn't keep his eyes off me on May 1st. I look forward to working with her in the future. I recommend her to anyone who cares about looking their absolute best on their wedding day!

  Miriam was fantastic! I had my wedding in Ft. Lauderdale but I am from Lexington Kentucky. I was a little nervous about hiring someone to do my hair and make-up whom I have never met before and I couldn't have a trial run. She immediately put me at ease and made me confident that everything would be perfect. AND IT WAS :)! She did an amazing job on both my hair and make-up. She is very sweet, professional and flexible. I originally told her that she would only be working with me and of course my mother-in-law, a bridesmaid and my Jr. Bridesmaid all decided on the day of my wedding to have their hair done as well. She gladly accommodated them and they were all very pleased as well! Thank you so much Miriam, you are the best!

  Miriam and her team were amazing! We had 7 bridesmaids, and everyone one of them loved their hair and makeup. Miriam and her girls were professional and fun at the same time! I would definitely book her again for any special event!

  I've had a really wonderful experience with Miriam. I had very bad experience with other makeup artist. I loved it! They are there in a very early morning, they are patience and calmness in dealing with the ordinary wedding stresses. I want to thank them for doing such a great job and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for talented makeup artists

  Miriam is unreal. She transformed three mere mortals into goddesses. Not only is she extremely talented at her art, she has an amazing personality to boot.   Miriam is a true professional. Even after short notice, she consulted with me over the phone days prior to my wedding day and really made me feel at ease.

  Miriam provided hair and make-up services for my wedding on January 30th. She was on time, professional and very sweet throughout the entire day. She provided excellent service to not only me (the bride) but to my entire bridal party. She remained calm and supportive with even the most difficult members of my bridal party.   Miriam did my hair and makeup, as well as my mother's hair and makeup, for my wedding in Miami. From our initial interactions to set up a trial, Miriam was professional, thorough and a pleasure to work with. I hardly ever wear makeup, and my long hair is often left as it is, and I wanted to be sure to be natural but still photogenic. My mom and I arrived at Miriam's studio for the hair and makeup trial, and left nearly four hours later absolutely confident that Miriam would do an incredible job on the day of the wedding. Miriam responded to my hesitation about being too made up with her incredible calm, confidence and knowledge. She listened carefully to what I wanted, looked at photographs for reference with me and, in the end, did wonderful work on both my mother and me. My hair, which I wanted to have a bit of a bohemian look, was like a work of art. The wedding was outdoors, and we wound up putting all of my hair up. I wanted it to be asymmetrical, she twisted and braided and wound pieces together and, in the end, worked in beaded flowers. The photographs are incredible, and my hair held all the way through a very windy wedding and reception perfectly. My mom wore a hair piece, which was integrated beautifully and looked absolutely natural. My makeup was perfect; natural looking but incredibly clean and smooth. It did not budge, through many tears and kisses on the cheeks. Again, the photographs are incredible and my skin looks flawless. Miriam was incredible, she is a highly skilled professional and artist. I'll recommend her to friends and family, most of whom are in NYC... Miriam's work is well worth the cost bringing her to wherever you are!

  Miriam did my makeup in October for my wedding. I must say without a trial the makeup job and hair style was nothing short of fabulous. The makeup in my photos came out amazing and everyone loved the look. I was especially happy with the lashes addition! I would recommend her for your event anytime!   Miriam and her assistant Cindy are AMAZING! They are not only great at what they do, but they are young and fun and made us all feel comfortable and at ease. Thanks to them I was able to relax and not have a stressful morning. Miriam was so accomodating and rearranged her schedule so we didn't have to start super early. My hair was gorrrrgeous and I got compliments on it all night. My girls and my mom were all very happy, as well! BOOK THESE GIRLS! They are the deal. Seriously. Thank you, Miriam and Cindy! You rock!!!

  To all that will view this comment but mostly for Miriam... I wanted to thank you for sharing such a talent with me & my party, you not only made us look beautiful but you also made us feel like theres nothing to worry about.... I am sure you noticed I was not one bit worried nor did I act like bridezilla, you gave me that peace of mind that all us brides need at the end . You were wonderful & your assistant was also great. No complaints & my make-up was to perfection, my mom also thanks you & she was such a beauty too. You are the funk girl & keep it going !!!   Miriam is an amazing makeup artist and hair stylist. I am so lucky to have found her to do my hair and makeup on my wedding day. Planning a wedding in Florida while living half way around the country was difficult. After googling "air brush makeup in South Florida," I found Miriam's website. Her website photos were fantastic. she was easy to reach by phone and very accomodating. On my wedding day she arrived at my hotel room on time. She was nice, friendly, and professional. She listened to what I desired with regard to the make up and styled my hair around my tiara. I looked like a princess. She did a FANTASTIC job!! The make up was flawless and it fit my personality. The hair style was lovely, better than I ever imagined. I would recommend her to anyone and everyone.

  I really was very pleased with my makeup. O felt that she really understand my concept and will. I highly recomend Myriam for your wedding or any event make up. She is very nice and friendly.   Miriam and one of her colleagues provided the hair and makeup for myself (the bride), my bridesmaids, and my mom for my wedding in January. Miriam was very professional and did an amazing job on my hair and makeup. I gave Miriam and picture of how I wanted my updo to look, and my hair turned out absolutely perfect. The airbrush foundation was great and my makeup stayed all night. The only minor hiccup was that Miriam ended up having to leave at noon when originally she was planning on being there with myself and my bridesmaids until we left for the church at 3:30. Because of the last minute change in schedule, Miriam had to arrive earlier than we had previously scheduled and seemed a bit rushed to leave once she completed my hair and makeup. Her colleague did stay with us, so no major problems resulted from this change in schedule. All in all I was very happy with the services provided by Miriam!

  I am so confused by all of the prior postings on this vendor. Miriam did my makeup for my wedding and although it looked very nice - none of my bridesmaids or my mom were happy with theirs and the response to any criticism was not received well at all. i booked her because i heard she was the best prior to my trial (my fault, bad move) so I ended up using her because i had paid in already. Thought she was much stronger with makeup than hair so much so that i used someone else for hair. After i left the trial and thought about the hair i told her i wasnt crazy about it. she told me we could revisit it through another paid trial or the day of the wedding. she kept mentioning how my aunt loved it and i was happy when i left. i dont feel like she cared about the way i felt, it was more about her artistic creation. anyway Im glad all of you were happy....i wouldn't recommend this vendor because her personality was not what i wanted on my wedding morning. the girl who did our hair ended up fixing everyone.

  I was very disappointed with Make up By Miriam.
  This vendor was 30-40% higher in price than other vendor proposals I received and she did not offer a complimentary trial when booked, and unfortunately, I fell into the consumer trap of higher price=higher quality of service. I was very disappointed. My hair fell flat after a few hours, and I was in the bathroom trying to twig it back up before my ceremony started. The make up was okay, but the hair was just terrible. Even my mother and sister commented how my hair was a mess, nothing a bride wants to hear on the day she is to look the most beautiful.

  EDIT: It has come to my attention that Miriam is lying about this review on another website, saying I made it up because I tried to cancel on her. This is by far the absolutely most disgusting lack of professionalism I have ever seen. I have proof that I paid her in full two days before the wedding and the email after the wedding from her replacement where she says that Miriam refuses to contact me about my concerns. Please feel free to contact me directly if you have any questions about the authenticity of my review.
  
  Miriam cancelled on me at 10pm the night before my wedding, saying she "injured her shoulder" earlier that day on a photoshoot and for some reason she thought it was acceptable to not call me until very late at night. The replacement she picked for me was two hours late arriving - I asked her to arrive at 10am and I got a text message from her at 12:10pm saying she was "on her way." The woman did a horrendous job on my hair, dumping so much non-aerosol hairspray on my head that it was goopy and clinging to my scalp, but yet still frizzy. There is no way it looked anything like trial/inspiration photos I showed her before she started. I asked if she had any powdered bronzer I could brush on my arms and instead she airbrushed big splotchy, streaky brown spots the size of a softball on each arm while I was already in my wedding dress. I will have to retouch every single photo to remove those spots. I didn't get any "getting ready" photos as a result of her replacement's tardiness - no bridal portraits and no pictures with my stepmom or bridesmaids.
  
  The whole situation seems odd. I paid Miriam in advance on the Thursday before the wedding, but when her replacement showed up she told me that Miriam told her I would pay her directly. Huh? If I paid Miriam two days earlier and the topic of compensation was brought up between Miriam and the replacement, how could Miriam conveniently forget that I already paid her? If I remember correctly, I don't think Miriam even apologized for having to cancel on me without notice. If she had done anything at all to salvage this mess I would be much more forgiving - I don't think it's acceptable to cancel less than 12 hours before a bride's wedding, and if you really have to due to injury then you can at least call that morning, or follow up by email to see if I was happy with the replacement, or something to show professionalism and customer service.
  
  I emailed Miriam that week asking to speak to her, telling her how upset I was, and she ignored my repeated attempts to contact her and deleted/blocked me from her facebook page the same day I sent the email. She never even tried to apologize and instead had the replacement girl email me a week later, who also did not apologize and who lied about touching up my bridesmaids hair/make-up.
  
  I see a quite few people have signed up on Wedding Wire just to give Miriam glowing 5 star reviews (and no other reviews for any other wedding vendors). I find that odd, you will have to draw your own conclusions from that. Please know that at the very least, my review is true and should be a warning for any bride considering Miriam as her stylist.
  
  I picked her because she was so nice at the trial and she did a great job at the time, but none of that matters considering what happened at my wedding. Things happen, I can understand having to cancel due to injury, but there is no excuse for the completely unapologetic lack of caring and professionalism.
