Amazing artist and person !

I’ve worked as a co-makeup artist with MelRo on a few very large wedding parties when I still did wedding makeup. She has always been early, she’s constantly done a beautiful job and she is literal sunshine in human form. Any bride and bridal party would be so lucky to have her.

MelRo is amazing. She did my makeup a few years ago for a friend's wedding and as soon as I started planning my wedding I knew she was the only makeup artist that I wanted. She did a fantastic job on my bridal party, my mom and myself - everyone was happy with how their makeup looked! She is also very quick, so we were able to get through hair and makeup for 7 people in about 2 hours. Overall I could not be happier!

Melissa is amazing! There are no words to describe what a wonderful person she is and what an awesome job she does! She makes you feel like your the only person in the room when she is doing your make-up. I enjoyed her presence and her work!

I has been looking for a makeup artist for my wedding and at the advice of a friend and coworker I set up a consultation with MelRo. From the very beginning she was so sweet and flexible. After the trial she told me to go home and wear the makeup for the day and decide if I wanted to use her. I really appreciated that she wasn't pushy about finalizing anything that day. She did a great job staying in contact and organized in the months leading up to my wedding. All together she had seven girls to do and she did an amazing job. Everyone looked beautiful and the makeup photographed beautifully. I will be recommending her to everyone!

MelRo was an integral part of my wedding day. She arrived to our hotel on time and with a smile. She worked seamlessly alongside our hairstylist and was adamant that everyone be 100% satisfied with their makeup. One of my bridesmaids decided she was not comfortable wearing false lashes after they were applied and MelRo was quick to accommodate her wishes. MelRo has a very sweet and comforting demeanor that helped me to feel calm and confident on the day of my wedding. Most importantly, MelRo is a very talented makeup artist who will help make you feel beautiful on your big day.

Melissa Roshan was the best. Completely professional. She provided the services for my wedding which included doing my makeup and the bridesmaids makeup. She was able to do a full face and lashes in no time flat. She can accomplish whatever look you desire from Mac glam to Chanel Classic or Bobby brown natural! She was so calm and organized. My wedding party was multicultural and she had foundations and color palates that complimented everyone. There were no complaints.
Look you can get anyone to line your lips and put on blush but Melissa really tries to understand your vision and how you see yourself to make sure that is the image that stars back at you from all the pictures and videos of the day. I trusted her with one of the most important days of my life and I have no regrets. I promise from one bride to another you will have no regrets either.

Melissa is AMAZING! She is professional, and so easy to work with. Her ability to make everyone look their very best, made the wedding that much more special. Everyone was very pleased with her service, and her personality is great. She is so friendly, and flexible, she made having our make up done, one thing I really didnt have to worry about it. Making the decision to go with MelissaRoshan for makeup was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. She and her services are outstanding!!!

I initially booked her for my sisters wedding in 2012 then had to have her do makeup for my wedding in August 2013.

MelRo has such a quiet and humble spirit and is very professional, flexible, open to change and put you first. She has such positivity and passion about life and what she does and how she treats her clients. I'm really grateful that we were able to have her work on our makeup. The compliments all the ladies and myself got were great!!!!

All communication was excellent. All emails and phone calls were returned on time. Made us feel comfortable from the start.

I was fortunate to have a really great team of vendors for my wedding, but I have to say that Melissa Roshan was hands down my favorite person to work with on the wedding day. I only wish every bride could have the experience of having her do their makeup on the big day. Her personality is warm and friendly and she brings a calm positive energy the moment she enters the room. She was fast and the make-up was GORGEOUS. I booked her very last minute and did not have a consultation. Somehow she managed to give me a look that exceeded all expectations I had. My makeup lasted not only all night, but even the next morning when I woke it still somehow looked perfect. I have not stopped talking about what a great experience it was to work with Melissa! I would absolutely recommend her to anyone in need of makeup services, especially for special events. Her pricing is right in range with other traveling make-up artists and she is worth every penny. I can't think of single complaint... beyond thrilled!!!!!!

Melissa was amazing! She was not only my makeup artist on my wedding day she was a friend. She listened to how I wanted my makeup to wear and focus on making look beautiful and feel comfortable. Melissa is a very professional and sincere person and I honestly do not think that I could have gotten the results that I got with anyone else. I have had previous makeup experience in the past, working at a beauty counter while in college, and normally do my own makeup...however, when it came to the wedding day I did not want the pressure of doing it myself (I would probably have shaky hands!!). I could not believe the transformation MelissaRoshan gave me.....my makeup was AWESOME!!!! I thought I did a good job at doing my own makup, but after having her work with me I am sooo glad that I had her do it.....it was a look I could have never achieved on my own- plus it stays on all day/night! Highly recommend!!!

Rarely do I give such high ratings for service. MelissaRoshan deserves only the very highest marks! From the first email, through our first meeting, and up through the day of the wedding, MelissaRoshan was everything you could ask for and more. She is extremely highly skilled and made everyone look truly beautiful, in person and in the photographs. I cannot say enough about her expertise in this area. And MelissaRoshan was so flexible. Her recommendations for times on the wedding day were right on and when we asked her to do the makeup of an additional person at the last minute, she never flinched and made her look beautiful also.

MelissaRoshan responded quickly and thoroughly to every one of my emails, a true professional!

But to top off her artistic skills and her professional manner, MelissaRoshan brings a light with her wherever she goes. She is fun, caring and has a calmness about her. MelissaRoshan is a truly remarkable young woman and I would recommend her to anyone and everyone! We wish her every success!

I cannot say enough good things about MelissaRoshan. She is genuine and truly cares about making you feel good about yourself. She did my makeup for my wedding and it was perfect! Everything stayed the entire night and, best of all, she made me look like me, but enhanced. I am not very comfortable getting made over, but she made me comfortable throughout the entire process and really made it an enjoyable experience. I would recommend her services to anyone.

I highly recommend MelissaRoshan. She is a true artist with the make-up brush and put me and my entire wedding party as ease while she transformed us into beauty queens. Working with Melissa is a LOT of FUN!! She's very kind, bubbly and patient. She really gives what we want and we all looked so beautiful. We got a lot of compliment with our looks. Our makeup last the whole day, for 12 hours!! I wish I could ask Melissa to do my make up everyday!! =)

I wasn't sure I wanted to have my make-up professionally done for my wedding because of some bad past experiences, but from the moment I met MelissaRoshan at my trial, I was comfortable with her. She really listened to me and completely nailed what I was looking for, almost as if she could read my mind. I felt like myself, just more polished and fabulous :) and looking back at photos, my look truly stayed ALL day long with hardly any touch-ups! And on top of it all, she's extremely, extremely sweet! Gotta love that.

I would highly recommend MelissaRoshan to anyone, especially any bride! and I would certainly work with her again and again for any future make-up needs.

There are not words to describe how thrilled I was with MelissaRoshan as a makeup artist, as a vendor, and as a person. I am so happy that I found her ad on Weddingwire.com and viewed her website in the first place. Just one look at the before and after pictures and I was ready to book her! Then I read her reviews online and everyone had such nice things to say so I felt it was a sound decision.

Now I am happy to say I am one of those glowing reviews. My wedding had a lot of "do-it-yourself" projects that caused a lot of down to the wire craziness and stress. When I arrived at the venue, MelissaRoshan was already set up and ready to go with soft music playing. It was so funny to me because my dad ended up being in my dressing room before I got there and he said, "I want to be in THAT room! It's so nice and relaxing and music's playing and EVERYTHING!" Which is very uncharacteristic of my dad to really notice details like that, so obviously MelissaRoshan made an impression on him. What I didn't know when planning my wedding was how important having calm, prepared vendors would be! I felt instantly at ease when I was under her care.

Now the most important part...the makeup: I can't believe the transformation that took place in just 30 minutes. MelissaRoshan is such a gifted genius when it comes to makeup. I usually do my own makeup and am pretty good at applying it, etc. But I would have never been able to make the complete look that MelissaRoshan had given me that day, nor would I been as happy as I was with how I looked in the pictures. Especially because I had an outdoor wedding and natural light can really wash me out. She also did the makeup for my mom and my sister and so they looked just as fantastic. If you are on the fence about booking a makeup artist, just set up a time to meet with MelissaRoshan for a trial run. I don't think many brides take into consideration how important it is to have a professional makeup done for the pictures alone. Booking MelissaRoshan was the best money I ever spent, hands down.

MelissaRoshan was the perfect addition to my perfect wedding day.
When we met at our consulation we worked well together to determine the look that I wanted for the wedding. She then sent follow-up emails of good beauty tips to prepare for the event. When the day arrived, MelissaRoshan was lighthearted and professional. She not only made myself and my wedding party look beautiful but she has such a calming demeanor. Everyone loved her!
In general, I am a picky girl about how my make-up looks. I like to look natural with just make-up has an enhancemet to my features. MelissaRoshan executed this look perfectly. I would highly receommend her!

I got married on June 19th and Melissa did my bridal make-up as well as one of my bridesmaids and my mom. Everyone was happy with their make-up. Melissa was a pleasure to work with. During the make-up trial in April she listened to what I wanted and exceeded my expectations. I don't usually wear a lot of make-up and I was concerned that I would look like one of those brides that had too much make-up on, but this was not the case. Melissa assured me that the make-up would look great in pictures. And I really felt that looked like myself but even better!! I would definitely recommend her services.

MelissaRoshan does an amazing job doing makeup and makes everyone she does look amazing! Myself, my mom, and many of my bridesmaids used her for my wedding. Everyone loved her and loved their makeup. MelissaRoshan arrived early for the event and made her self available for all of my maids, even those who were not initally scheduled for services. She was patient and kind which made me feel at ease on my special day. My make-up lasted all day in 90 degree weather and everyone commented on how beautiful I looked. I would highly recommend MelissaRoshan and look forward to any event in my future that would allow me to use her services.

MelissaRoshan was absolutely the perfect choice for our wedding! I had my trial with her several months in advance. I was impressed by her professional, calm, and warm personality. My trial makeup lasted 16 hours and lashes for 3 days. I knew the day after my trial I had to book her! Leading up to the wedding, so took any feedback I gave her, and communicated effectively and in a timely manner with any questions I had. She even gave me personalized tips to keep my skin in top shape before the big day.

For our wedding, she came to the ceremony location on time and prepared, and did my makeup, my mother-in-law's, maid of honor, two bridesmaids, and even covered my husband's eye circles! My makeup lasted through the next day and the lashes stayed on for three days! My mother-in-law was so thrilled she kept telling me how wonderful MelissaRoshan was and that no one had ever done her makeup as well as she did- and kept telling me for two weeks after the wedding. Once my husband and I sat down for the wedding ceremony, my husband turned and said to me, "The makeup artist is amazing and did a really great job. She's so calm and knows what she's doing. I even love what she did on me. Where did you find her?" That just made me smile! MelissaRoshan was such a great part of our wedding team and I highly recommend her for any special occasion!

I was fortunate enough to have a generous and gracious bride provide Melissas' services when I was a bridesmaid recently. I could not have been happier with it! Firstly, I found myself wishing Melissa was coming to the wedding because she was just such a sweet, cool chick. Secondly, she did such a wonderful job on all of the girls. The bride looked beautiful and not over-done, and she did something with my eyes that makes me wish I could hire her on a daily basis to do my make-up. In fact, when I got home, a friend was there and she started crying when she saw me because she loved it so much. Guess it's been awhile since she's seen me do something with myself ;)

MelissaRoshan did makeup for me & all my bridesmaids for my Feb 20 wedding. She did incredible work & her energy and enthusiasm are amazing! Working with MelissaRoshan was wonderful! Not only is she the sweetest person you have ever met, but her talent with cosmetics is AMAZING! I use makeup on a daily basis, but I still wasn't able to give her very much direction. She took the few comments I was able to give her and came up with exactly the look I was going for. I looked like me, but much more glamorous - exactly what you want on your wedding day! The makeup translated perfectly in all of my photography, and lasted all night.

MelissaRoshan was able to do my entire bridal party (7 girls), 2 junior bridesmaids and my mother, as well as myself within the agreed upon time period. She was one of the first people to show up at my parent's house that day - even before a few of my bridesmaids! She is very professional and such a calming influence - if you book with her, you won't be sorry!! I'm recommending her to all of my engaged friends. Get her early - she is in demand!

I was so lucky to have MelissaRoshan do my make-up for my wedding. Not only is she the most kind and likable person you will ever meet, she is also professional, organized and talented. My make-up looked fantastic, and MelissaRoshan also did the make-up of 4 of my bridesmaids who were also thrilled with her work. I actually had two different friends at my wedding who are getting married soon ask me for her info so she can do their make-up too!

She makes you feel really comfortable too, and makes sure you are happy. When I went in for my trial, I felt like the eye shadow was a little darker than I would like, and she quickly fixed it to the perfect shade!

I felt like her pricing was very fair, and she is flexible and will travel to you. You will not be disappointed in her work, and I promise you will spend half your day thanking people for the compliments they give you on your make-up, and the other half of the day, talking about how nice she is with your wedding party!

Melissa did make-up and was an absolute joy to work with. She has such a calming presence and a lot of experience working as a make-up artist. I loved that she was willing to travel to the hotel for the day of the wedding. It made the timing so much easier. She did the make-up for me, my mother, my mother-in-law and my sister-in-law. Everyone looked stunning. My mother and I had gone in for trials before the wedding and Melissa was great at listening to what we wanted and then translating it into reality. I don't generally wear a ton of make-up and she was respectful of that. I was worried that I would end up looking like someone else because of the make-up, but she was great at making sure I just looked like an enhanced version of myself. My mom rarely wears make-up at all and was reluctant to wear some for the day of the wedding. Melissa put her at ease, used minimal make-up, and my mom looked amazing as well. Melissa was wonderfully responsive to all my emails, and she had great tips about skin-care and make-up choices. I loved her holistic approach towards beauty. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone and everyone!

my makeup lasted all day! She even fixed my hair for me when my original do did not look so good. When I would email her she always responded right away. She was on the ball! She was very organized, responded quickly, and listened to what I wanted for my special day. She was worth every penny. I thought she was priced very fairly. She was able to give me several dates of availability to choose from for my practice run. when I wasn't certain about using eyelashes she let me try them out free of charge. I love that she comes to your location. One less thing to worry about on the big day!

I actually booked MelissaRoshan the week of my wedding, because I got so nervous at the thought of doing my own makeup, and she was not only (luckily!) available and accommodating, but SO nice about scheduling on such short notice. She did makeup for both my mom and me, and she put us both right at ease and did such a beautiful job that we got compliments all night. It meant so much to me to have piece of mind about how my makeup would look in all of my pictures, and it was wonderful to not have to worry about my makeup on such an important day. When I was initially doing my planning, I considered paying someone to do my makeup to be a luxury I couldn't afford, but her price is incredibly reasonable for the amazing service she provides, and it was completely worth it! Looking back on my wedding night, it was one of the best investments I made in the whole event.

After my initial makeup artist for my wedding day had to cancel, our photographer recommened MelissaRoshan. She responded instantly to my email and I hired her in just a couple days of communicating with her. She was extremely responsive and easy to communicate before the wedding. Being that my wedding was in Columbus and me in Chicago made planning difficult but she made it much easier. Since I did not have time to come into town for a practice run, she made me feel comfortable about us being on the same page by having me email her pictures and emailing back and forth about all the details. When the wedding day came I was even more impressed by her professional attitude but most of all she made the day start out very relaxing and fun. She was easy to talk to and just an all around pleasure to work with. She knew exactly what I had in mind and got it just right. The makeup looking incredible and I was so thankful for one less thing to worry about that day. It really did last all day and night and I had so many compliments. She is a great makeup artist and so nice, I will hire her for absolutely anything I may need from now on!

I met MelissaRoshan about 6 weeks before my Wedding, she was highly recommended by another Professional Make-Up Artist on www.theknot.com. We did an hour long make-up trial where we discussed and reviewed my personal style and desired look for my Wedding Day. MelissaRoshan was the perfect choice for me. She listened to my ideas and suggested some different approaches, we took before and after pictures. After the trail makeup was done, I looked in the mirror and yelled "WOW" and booked her on the spot. I looked like a million bucks! I felt very confident that she was the right Artist for me.
Prior to the Wedding Day, we confirmed our scheldules, talked about any changes and MelissaRoshan even researched eyelash extensions for me. She arrived on my Wedding Day, did the Bridemaids make-up, covered up my tattoo and make me look as gorgeous as possible. I loved the way that I looked and so did my Groom and everyone else. I had a great experience with MelissaRoshan. My make-up on my wedding day was beautiful; I had so many compliments. The make-up she provided to for my Aunt and sister-in-law were also lovely. MelissaRoshan was very flexible and responsive regarding rules for my ceremony venue as well as my own personal choices in the make-up used. I thought the cost for the services was a little high (in comparison to others I researched); however, because of MR's professionalism and general cheery disposition I would highly recommend her to anyone else seeking these services.

Melissa was wonderful on my wedding day, and gave me a beautiful look that lasted til the end of the night! I don't wear a ton of makeup so I was nervous about getting my makeup done professionally, but Melissa gave me a natural look and was willing to change anything to make it exactly what I wanted. She also drove all the way to my house and came right on into a chaotic house filled with bridesmaids getting ready, and was professional and got right to business with getting my makeup done promptly. She ended up staying at least 20 minutes longer afterwards to help some of my bridesmaids finish doing their hair. Melissa is a sweet and caring person who takes her job seriously and I'd recommend her to anyone!

MelissaRoshan helped me, my mother, and one of our bridesmaids look even more beautiful for our wedding. She was a little more expensive than some of the other makeup artists I considered, but she did a lovely job and we looked wonderful, both in person and in the photos. We played around with the makeup to ensure that I liked my look and had mascara success.

I was so pleased with my entire experience. I�m so happy with my choice to go with her. She made me feel at ease. Such a calming spirit on a possibly stressful day. I looked better than I could have imagined. She was just what I was looking for, someone who could enhance what was naturally there. I did not want to look drag-queenish. It was important to be radiant and polished and she delivered!

MelissaRoshan is an amazing make-up artist! She did my make-up for my wedding, and I've never felt so beautiful in my life! The compliments on her work were endless. She also did the make-up for 2 bridesmaids and my mom, which was also excellent! She really takes the time to read the client and fit the make up to their looks, personality and the occasion. I LOVED my bridal makeup and felt beautiful; however, some of my bridesmaids were not happy with theirs. One girls makeup was not even and looked unthorough; she had to completely re-do her makeup. But as the bride, I felt glamorous!! :)

Unfortunately very unhappy

As a bride, I was very disappointed from the second she walked in. Her tone was extremely rude when she found out she had to come upstairs with her equipment where had a huge area to get ready. The bridesmaids were able to choose whatever they wanted (as the bride I let each girl chose their style). She unfortunately told each girl the style she was going to be doing rather than asking what they would like. We had a few girls ask for something specific and some of the feedback we got from her was “ I can’t promise you won’t look like a raccoon” - from a girl who wanted some eyeliner on the bottom and “ can you trust me, I’ve been doing this 20 years” - when a girl asked if she could have strip lashes rather than individuals. She was extremely rushed, for whatever reason unknown. We were not in a pinch for time by any means. It almost felt like she maybe had another event to go to with how rushed she was. Multiple girls had no foundation, were very washed out, and looked incomplete. Thank goodness we had another artist there who was the primary artist and was able to fix everything that went wrong. Unfortunately, every girl that received makeup from MelRo had to be fixed. I hate to have to leave a bad review, but I just wouldn’t want another bridal party to have to go through what we did. Especially if there wasn’t another artist there to cleanup after her. I think room for improvement would be asking each client what their inspiration is, taking time to make sure each client is happy, and being personable.

Rushed and looked sloppy

I was very disappointed in the service received from MelRo. She rushed and very quickly applied the makeup to my face. Nothing was blended correctly, which made my face look unfinished and sloppy. She was not personable and didn’t take the time to ask my preferences on eyeshadow color or anything. No foundation of any kind was applied to my face, along with no lip color. It was more than evident that she was trying to get through as many bridesmaids as possible in a short amount of time so that she could leave. Very upsetting.
