Great hair and makeup artist!

Karen was really responsive when I reached out to her last fall when I was getting quotes from hair and makeup artists and was really affordable considering I had a total of 9 people in our bridal party who needed hair and makeup down. I met with her a few months before the wedding to do my hair and makeup trial. She was flexible and was able to start hair at our hotel and then transitioned to our venue to finish everyone's hair and makeup. I cried a lot and danced a lot on the wedding day but my hair and makeup lasted the entire day. Thank you Karen and Danielle for everything!

Amazing work

What can I say, I just wanna thank Karen and her team for helping me and my family . She has his vibe of like you’re hanging out with a friend who’s doing your make up. She was on time she was equipped, and she was very fast, but took her time at the same time. She really made me feel beautiful that day and even though we did a practice run couple months before my wedding it did not compare to what she did on my actual wedding day. And to be honest the Makeup and hair lasted all night long even with all of the sweat and tears that went into that day. Thank you, Karen for all your help. I appreciate you.

The best experience ever

To start- I’m a crier and my hair and makeup lasted through hours of on and off tears, the winds of the Palso Verdes Cliffs, and hours of dancing on my wedding day.

Working with Karen was such a great decision. During the trial, I was able to get a feel for how I would look on my wedding day. When I wanted to tweak some things, Karen went with it and delivered exactly what I wanted. When I had to change which of my party was doing hair and makeup, adding and taking off services, she was flexible and patient. Karen is so sweet and easy to work with. It was truly the best experience!

I worked with Karen this past March for my wedding day hair and makeup for myself and my mother & mil. I chose not to do a trial beforehand because I trusted her work based on her pictures from ig. I am so glad that I booked Karen to do my hair and makeup for my wedding day. Karen was accommodating, punctual, professional, and sweet. My maid of honor and I were both very happy with our looks for the entire night. I flew into LA for my wedding, so I didn't have time to do a trial. Best hmua ever

Ten years ago, my sister hired Karen and her team for her wedding. We had the best time and we still reminisce about that until this day. Karen is so sweet and brilliant at her craft. I knew that when I got married, I would have to hire her and I did! She was the one vendor that I always knew I would use. My bridal party and I were so happy with the results. She came early and finished all the hair and make-up right on time. The make-up and hair lasted to the end of the night. We love her so much. I have been in 8 bridal parties and no one beats Karen and her team. I recommend her to all my friends and family when they get married. Will add photos once we get photos from our photographer!

Just Wonderful

Give a photo to Karen and she'll make it happen. I gave her a picture of what I wanted and she took her time to make any adjustment to make it happen. She is so patient with you and will work with you to make you look wonderful. I am so grateful to have met her. My hair is not easy to work on and a lot of the time from other people, they'll give up on you. Not Karen. She will do whatever it takes to give you the look you want. Thank You Karen.

Loved working with Karen!

As someone who doesn't wear make up usually, Karen did a great job in making me feel comfortable for both my engagement shoot and wedding day. I felt beautiful and confident, thanks to her artistry. My makeup and updo for wedding day held up so well, even through my tears and the windy weather. On my wedding day, Karen & Amy also made my bridesmaids and mom look stunning. Karen and her team were great!

I did my trial with Karen and thought it was sufficient enough for the wedding day. But come wedding day, it was that much better. There were 11 people to get through and I actually never worried about timing or whatnot, which I've seen often enough as a bridesmaid. However, Karen and her team worked efficiently without sacrificing the quality so I was very impressed. I received so many compliments about my hair and makeup all throughout the wedding, too!

Karen is the only hair and makeup artist I will ever work with!

Karen is hands-down the best hair and makeup artist you could ever ask for, especially for Asian hair and makeup. She has nailed the art of soft, smoky, yet natural glam that makes you look like the absolute best version of yourself. I had been following her for years on social media after seeing many of my acquaintances use her services for weddings and special events. I hired her for both my engagement shoot and wedding day and it was the best decision I ever made. She answered all my questions before each appointment, and is quick, cheerful, and very helpful. At the appointments, she glanced at hair and makeup styles that I had saved on my phone and replicated them in a way that best suited my facial structure. On the morning of my wedding, Karen and her assistant, Dani, arrived bright and early despite traveling all the way down to San Diego, where my wedding was located. Her rates are so reasonable (on par with most artists’ friends and family discounted price) that the nominal travel fee was worth it. My bridal party was somewhat large (bride, five bridesmaids, two mothers) and each person had her own preferred hair and makeup style. Karen and Dani flawlessly executed each look, from natural makeup to intense glam, with updos, braids, curls, textured hair, extensions, etc. Despite all the different requests, Karen and Dani were extremely efficient and finished right on time. My mother, who almost never wears makeup, refused to wear false lashes until Karen showed her how easy and painless they could be. Two of my bridesmaids are hair and makeup artists who do wedding hair/makeup and are extremely particular about getting their own hair and makeup done. Both of them were beyond impressed with Karen and her team, and I have heard nothing but gushing compliments from all of the bridesmaids and mothers since the wedding. Our wedding pictures just came back and everyone still looked flawless by the end of the night, despite the 18-hour day, sticky humidity, and nonstop dancing. I will not hesitate to hire Karen again for any special event and highly recommend her to everyone!

I recommend to all my friends that are getting married.

I had my wedding last summer in July. Karen and her team are talented and professional. It was an early start that day for my wedding. But they were on-time and prepared. Karen and her team did makeup and hair for my 3 bridesmaids, my 10-year-old daughter, 2 mothers and myself. That day was the hottest day of the year in Pasadena. It was 106 degrees!!! My bridal party and I make up and hair all held up through the heat and sweat all day. I did a minimal touch-up. Karen and her team delivery the look we all wanted for each one of us.

Also, she worked with our schedule and gave us a perfect timeline that made it super easy for me.

Great price and personality to work with as well. I recommend her to anybody that needs professional hair and makeup done.

Also, another note great makeup chooses she uses. Usually, when it comes to foundations and makeup it I would break out the next day. But I didn't - so I'm very pleased. Thank you so much Karen !!!

I already knew Karen would be my MUA even before I got engaged!

I had the pleasure of seeing Karen's work first-hand when she was my best friend's MUA. Prior to this, my best friend's SIL had used her services and my best friend had loved her work. I had already recommended her to a friend prior to my wedding. She is quick and efficient and was able to work with what look I wanted on the spot. I love that she is able to accept different types of payment, which made is very easy for me to put my deposit down and submit payment. As I did not use her touch-up services, Karen provided a sachet with plenty of bobby pins, extra lip colour, and cotton swabs to use which came in handy! I would recommend her to any of my friends who are getting married or even for an event and you're not familiar with makeup application!

Fabulous artistry!

Karen is easy to work with, and attentive to what you want to look like. She, and her team/associates are professional, and on time to the appointment. I absolutely loved both my hair, and make up for my wedding! I truly felt like a bride :D. Her make up application felt very light, but her artistry really brought out my features in photos. I have really long hair (down to my waist), and she made it work. Best of all, the hair and make up lasted all night!! I would definitely keep her in my contacts for future hair and make up needs!

I was referred to Karen by a friend and I am SO glad I chose her to do my hair and makeup for my engagement pictures and wedding. First, I loved how easy it was to get in touch with her and how fast she responded. As a bride-to-be, you’re filled with questions and super anxious about everything so it was nice having a vendor respond ASAP. Second, I loved how she was so on top of it with timing. My bridesmaids and I talked about how we have never been in a wedding where we finished before the time the makeup & hair artist said we would finish at. I also really appreciated her and her team showing up 15 minutes before to set up so we can start exactly on time. Lastly, I loved how she just wants you to look amazing. She’ll give her honest opinions about the makeup and hairstyle you pick and she’ll also ask if we’re 100% satisfied and loving the styles when she is done. I love that she is willing to change anything if we are not instead of saying something like ‘it looks fine!’ Overall, I loved Karen and will definitely refer her, and I will definitely ask her to doll me up again if needed in the future.

Karen is amazing. She and her assistants did a fabulous job on hair and makeup for me, my bridal party of seven ladies, and MOB and MOG. I do not wear makeup on a regular basis, so wanted to find someone who could make me look wedding fabulous while still looking like myself. Karen struck the perfect balance with my makeup and hair. I could not have been happier. I was also blown away by how uniformly great my bridesmaids' makeup and hair were (particularly since I had an ethnically diverse group) and how well the makeup held throughout the day. We finished hair and makeup around 2 pm and everyone still looking amazing at the end of the night. Even the MOG and MOB (both of whom were a bit apprehensive about having their makeup done) were extremely pleased.

Karen did my hair and makeup for both two different occasions- my Chinese wedding in May and my American wedding in October 2017.

For the Chinese, I was looking for an up-do with no veil look and for the American I was looking for a more whimsical braided look with veil and flowers. She was spot on with both of the looks that I presented her through a picture and replicated it exactly as I imagined. The makeup was consistent for both occasions-not overly smokey and very natural each of the times, as I requested. I received so many compliments about both my hair and makeup. I was glowing throughout the entire day and didn't need to do much or any touching up at all by the end of the night.

She, also, did some of my bridemaid's hair and makeup, whom all were happy with everything they got done. We were all glowing all day.

She is very attentive and responsive to emails/text. She is patient and shows up on time. She gets straight into it, which is very important where no time should be wasted. From beginning until end, everything went as planned and couldn't have gone any more smoothly.

I had a fantastic experience with Karen! I first had her do my hair/makeup for my engagement shoot, which was the first time I had ever had my hair or makeup professionally done. I had brought some example photos of what I was looking for, and Karen made the end result better than I had hoped for. As someone who doesn't know much about hair/makeup, I appreciated how helpful Karen was in guiding me through the whole process. I then went back to her for the wedding trial; we tried one hairstyle up and one down. I had always thought I would do my hair down, because that's what I tend to be most comfortable with, but I was so delightfully surprised with the loose updo that Karen did for me, that I ended up choosing that for the actual wedding day. On that day, Karen and Pennie arrived at my apartment right on time to do my hair/makeup as well as that for six other ladies. They were friendly yet focused, and they finished right on time. My hair and makeup stayed in place for the entire day, and I got so many compliments on the hairstyle in particular. Karen's prices were so much better than many of the vendors I had initially read about, and yet her quality is top-notch. I would absolutely recommend her to others!

Karen is an amazing makeup artist who did a fantastic job on my wife's hair and makeup. Of course I was not there to witness my wife getting her hair and makeup done, but I heard only great things from both my wife and her bridesmaids. Karen was punctual, professional, and personable, keeping the jitters at bay. When I saw my wife walking down the aisle, I was speechless. Karen did not make my wife unrecognizable. Instead, she enhanced her natural beauty, while being cognizant of how the make-up will photograph. Karen comes highly recommended and I recommend her to anyone in search of a makeup artist.

Since I was planning the wedding from out of town, one of the hardest decisions was choosing a makeup artist. I was so glad that I found Karen. She was prompt in responding and flexible with scheduling my trial. On the day of the wedding, Karen and her assistant Lyly did the hair and makeup for myself, two bridesmaids, my mother, the groom and the flower girl. Everyone loved the end results - one of my bridesmaids raved that she had never looked so pretty. My makeup and hair held up beautifully throughout the day. I would highly recommend choosing Karen for your wedding!

Karen accommodated all my wedding make up needs. She's very communicative and understanding for my wedding. Shows up on time and professional. Dramatic lashes, contouring, and lushly lips. I felt like a princess on my wedding day.

More importantly, I had a huge concern with my wedding as there were very traditional guests attending, my back tattoo had to be covered up. I couldn't be happier with the results.

Karen, you are the bomb! Highly recommend to anyone else looking for a wedding make up artist.

I cannot say enough good things about Karen Lee. I was impressed by the quality of her work along with her reasonable prices. She did hair and makeup for myself plus five bridesmaids, and everyone looked amazing. At the trial, we experimented with a couple of different hairstyles and I instantly loved my makeup. She put me at ease and was so fun to talk to. She drove to downtown L.A. bright and early from Azusa and was a total pro. I would hire her again without a second thought. Thank you Karen for helping make my wedding day amazing!

Karen Lee and the rest of the hair and make-up team wore wonderful and a great value! I was looking for a natural elegant look and Karen Lee really delivered. She also didn't seem fazed that I didn't have my idea for a hairstyle super-duper nailed down, even the morning of the wedding. (After the trial session I realized I wanted different look.) She looked at the pics I liked and listened to the look I was going for and created it on the spot! She asked for feedback as she was going along to make sure it was a look I was happy about, and of course it was! She was very flexible, because she had just finished me and I realized I had forgotten to put my contact lenses in. I put them in and of course I got a little fluid around my eyes, and she happily touched up the look!

Relatedly, the whole day even up to standing in the back of the church with my father I felt remarkably calm. Then, they opened the doors and I immediately started crying the whole walk up the altar. Her make-up held wonderfully! I couldn't tell a difference at all! Another potential complication, the wedding car was a convertible and my hair was in an up-do. I put on a headscarf (a la Grace Kelly) and was worried either the wind or the scarf would mess up my hair, once again it held beautifully!

My family who had their hair/make-up done by Karen's team looked remarkable and were extremely happy with their look and the value!

All-in-all they had amazing artistry and had a value that is hard to believe (especially for Southern California!)

Very quick in responding to text message/emails. Flexible in regards to your makeup and hair wishes. Sets a realistic time for hair + makeup on the event day. And also, really nice that travelling fee is included within a certain distance. So glad that I found Karen:))

Karen was great to work with. I showed her what I wanted and she did better than expected. I loved that she was very friendly and easy to talk to you. I was seriously getting compliments on my look all night. I would definitely work with her again for any future big events!

Karen was amazing! Her and her staff did my hair and make-up for me and my 6 bridesmaids. I was very happy with how everything came out. She was professional and very responsive to be e-mails and did everything she could to accommodate my vision for my wedding day. She was helpful in providing feedback and was very patient with me. Karen did my make up for both my engagement and wedding and I was 100% happy with the results. As you can see from her blog and many photos posted here, she makes you a better you - natural and yet glamorous (just what you need for pictures). She also did all of my bridesmaid's makeup and they were all very happy with their look.

Karen also took the time to do my hair 3 different styles and times until I was happy with my look. I was completely lost in how I wanted to look, and Karen was happy to give me various looks to try out. I was very indecisive about my eyelashes and karen gave me 4 or 5 different lengths and thickness to try. She is just very accommodating, kind, and patient!

She is super responsive via email, phone, text. I even emailed her about random stuff up to the week of the wedding and texted her phone numbers the night before. She follows up with you instantly! So refreshing!

She's been in the business for many years and knows what she is doing. For my wedding she came super prepared with anything and everything - even stuff we forgot to bring. She was just a life saver and a pleasure to be around. One of my favorite wedding vendors. Thank you so much Karen!

Karen and her team are wonderful! Services included hair and make up for 8 bridesmaids, makeup for 2 moms, and bridal hair and makeup for myself. We received so many compliments throughout the day! Karen and her crew are the absolute best! Not only do they provide exquisite hair and makeup services, but they are a blast to talk to and have around! Karen was so wonderful for my sister's wedding that she was an obvious choice for my own when the time came. She listened to what I wanted and gave me a thorough trial that boosted the confidence of my wedding day look through the roof! I felt my absolute best that day because of her magic and so did my bridesmaids! Definitely worth the money. I have now done both regular and airbrush makeup with her and she's a master at both. I was able to try out different styles and she had a lot of great ideas.. She was very professional and on time. Her flexibility allowed me to squeeze an extra person in for make up and hair as well as tweaking my hair at the last minute due to the hot weather. My makeup made it through the day and night to the point where I didn't even have to use her emergency kit!

Karen was recommended to me by a friend who got married last year - and I'm so glad she did! Karen was very professional and responsive in her communications, and was flexible in trying to work with my schedule when I booked my trial session with her. Since I was planning my Southern California wedding from NY, I especially appreciated when vendors were flexible with scheduling in-person meetings with me for the couple of times I was in town before the wedding. I also researched and considered other makeup and hair artists, but I liked that Karen understood the "natural, but enhanced" look I was going for during my trial, so I decided to book her for my wedding day. Karen's prices are also competitive with other makeup and hair artists in the area, and she even offered a little bit of a discount for booking my and my bridal party's hair and makeup with her.

On my wedding day, Karen and her assistant Lyly showed up on-time and were very professional and friendly as they did our hair and make-up. I barely slept the night before and also had a bit of a cold, so I was a little worried about looking very tired. But Karen did a phenomenal job in transforming me from tired to gorgeous for my wedding day! Karen and Lyly also did the makeup and hair for my three bridesmaids and my mom - and they all looked GREAT as well! My groom also loved my hair and makeup. He typically doesn't like it when I look like I'm wearing a lot of makeup, but Karen did such a great job that I didn't look like I was wearing a ton of makeup at all, but I still looked good in pictures. Karen gave me a touch-up kit before she left, which was useful for that time between the ceremony and reception when I wanted to freshen up a bit (though, Karen did such a great job that I didn't really need much touching up). My makeup and hair lasted for the entire day (about 12-13 hours) - and my makeup was still flawless at the end of the evening. Absolutely one of my favorite vendors for my big day!

Karen and her assistant were amazing! They are punctual and professional. Karen is very responsive and has a very calm and pleasant attitude. Karen and her assistant made me and my bridesmaids feel very calm and comfortable the morning of the wedding. They both worked hard to make sure we had our hair and makeup done exactly how we wanted. They were very patient and did not seem to mind at all no matter how many times we wanted to change the look of something. All of our hair and makeup looked perfect and lasted throughout the whole 12+ hour wedding day! I highly recommend Karen and her team for hair and makeup!

when you're a little girl you always imagine how you're wedding day will be when you get married. when that day comes, not only do you want everything to be what you imagined; you must also be flawless and beautiful. having seen what they can do at the makeup trial, they delivered more then imaginable on the day of my wedding. even with minor changes from the trial, i looked and felt absolutely beautiful. the makeup was flawless, my hair was well done, and everything lasted till the end of the night. i would highly recommend for any brides-to-be.

Karen and her team was great! I had my hair and makeup done for my engagement session as well as my wedding and they both were great! I have been in many weddings recently and there hasn't been a makeup artist that I have been satisfied with that knows how to do my eyes. I have moon shaped eyes when I smile and they knew how to make my eyes pop without caking it on. I loved my hair and makeup. I got compliments all night about my hair and makeup!

I was referred to Karen Lee by another wedding vendor, and was immediately impressed by her work online. She was very responsive to my many email questions prior to meeting. During the trial run, I got to see two hairstyles and loved them both! On the day of the wedding, Karen and her assistant arrived on time and finished on schedule. After I booked my trial with Karen Lee, I knew she was the perfect fit! At the trial, she made my hair and makeup look natural and light. Weeks before the wedding, she provided me with tips on how to take care of my skin. Karen and her team were extremely professional and calm. They accommodated to my bridal party’s requests especially since there were 10 ladies who needed to get their hair and makeup done that morning. When my friends and I were searching for the right make-up artist vendor to do my hair and make-up for the wedding day, the quality of her work just instantly stood out amongst the others. I was so pleased with choosing her to do my hair and make-up. Her services are offered at reasonable prices for the quality that you are getting. Karen makes sure to listen carefully to your vision for how you want your hair and make-up to be on the big day. She will help make that vision come to life and make you gorgeous for the big day. I felt so comfortable with Karen especially in my case where she was able to effectively replicate an up-do style I brought to her attention. I didn’t fret or over-communicate how my make-up should be and I felt completely at ease with trusting her to do her work. The result was amazing not only for me but for a few of my other bridesmaids who got their hair and make-up done with Karen and her team. The girls came out gorgeous on the wedding day and in the pictures. I love that Karen gives you a touch-up kit when you’re done working with her. The kit is complete for all your touch-up needs throughout the day. This was especially helpful with the long wedding day that we had. I also hired Karen again to do my hair and make-up when I had a one-year anniversary wedding do-over photo shoot. I've had Karen Lee and her team work on me once before when I was a bridesmaid. She did such a wonderful job I hired her again. My trial hair and make-up was great - we tested some things around to see what would complement my face and hair. I brought pictures but when I saw the way she did her eye make-up, I said "Oh I want my eye make up like yours." Isn't that a reflection of a great make-up artist? On my wedding day, my side sweep was doing weird things but she managed to fix it to my liking without agitating the hairspray. I felt very beautiful on my wedding day. I appreciate the complimentary make-up touch up kit and used it throughout the day to keep my face looking fresh. Her assistant artist, Jessica, did an amazing job on my bridesmaid's updo. My brother's wife couldn't stop talking about it! Karen is a well-prepared, patient, professional. She's worth every penny. Her quality of work reflects the talent and skill of someone who loves her profession.

my first encounter with karen and her crew was at my best friend's wedding, where i was the MOH. karen was super focused and professional, quietly and diligently working her magic and so i didnt really learn too much about her except that she provides fantastic results, is great with time constraints, and has awesome prices.

my second encounter with karen was my wedding trial session, which i scheduled to be the same day as my engagement photo shoot because i was so confident that i loved her work. during this experience, karen and i chatted the entire time! about the engagement shoot, honeymoons, family backgrounds, wedding details, wedding fears, etc etc etc. she felt like an old friend that i hadn't caught up with in a long time. it was nice to start the day with laughs and smiles to help set my mood for the engagement shoot later on that day. before sending me off, karen gave me a little organza baggie of touch-up goodies.

my third encounter with karen was 2 weekends ago for my BIG DAY (finally!). again, her team arrived on time (15 minutes earlier than start time in order to setup), worked diligently and punctually for the next 7 hours (i had a total of 12 ladies needing hair and makeup), and was still able to chat and joke with all the girls to ease wedding day jitters. the team finished with time to spare and almost all the girls had plenty of time to see if they wanted any touch ups, alterations, etc. a couple of my girls had tattoos and karen's team covered 'em up for free for me. i especially appreciated the fact that karen's team's expertise was diverse and were able to make the moms feel fabulous too. my girls looked gorgeous and (although im sure every bride gets this at her wedding) everyone complimented me on how beautiful i looked that day.

I booked Karen and Penny to do hair & makeup for myself and the rest of my bridal party. Let me say that they did an AMAZING job! They were so receptive to feedback and wanted to make sure that we looked exactly how we wanted. My girls looked great and their makeup was awesome: soft with a touch of drama! I had the airbrush done by Karen and it was so worth it! After taking bridal party photos in over 90 degree heat outside and dancing all night long, my hair and makeup were still in tact! I tend to have very oily skin, so the fact that the makeup didn't melt off or run was unbelievable! Not only were Karen and Penny great on the day of the wedding, their prices were great, they were so flexible with timelines, and they answered all of my emails promptly. I would highly recommend Karen Lee to anyone who wants to look beautiful and not break the bank!

I am so happy that I went with Karen and her team for my wedding! The entire team was friendly and professional, and helped to create a very relaxed atmosphere on the day of my wedding. Everyone was very happy with their hair/make-up and it all held up perfectly throughout the day (14+ hours). I appreciated that Karen always responded to my emails quickly and addressed any concerns I had. Her team was punctual on the day of the wedding and finished well within her allotted time slot :) They worked well with other vendors (photographers, videographers) -- it can get very crowded with everyone trying to do their job, but her team adjusted as needed. I would DEFINITELY recommend her team's services to a friend (I already have)!

I had bookmarked Karen Lee for a while because I was going back and forth on who I wanted for hair and makeup, but after thorough research, Karen was the best choice because her prices were reasonable in comparison to other hair and makeup teams and her talent was top-notch. I loved my hair and makeup for both my engagement session and my wedding day -- I still looked like myself, but just prettier :) Isn't that what we all want?! When I had to book my hair and makeup for my wedding, I knew Karen be the best! She's very professional and prompt at responding to emails. Setting up my trial appointment was a breeze, and the final results on our wedding day was spectacular! My makeup was exactly as I hoped and lasted all day (and I had to scrub to get it off) and my bridesmaids were especially happy with the work that Karen and her girls had done. She'll go above and beyond to make sure that you're happy with your look on your special day. Would definitely recommend her! =)

Karen and her associates were professional, sweet, positive, and accomodating, which essentially everything that a bride needs on her wedding day. Karen was wonderful and patient with all of my various requests and last minute changes. She even graciously took care of my mother-in-law which I had not arranged ahead of time. She did it without a single complaint or bad feeling, and stayed until everything was done.

She is absolutely worth more than she charges, and you will not be disappointed!

I hired Karen for my wedding in November 2011. When I had my makeup trial with her, I knew immediately that she was the one. Karen also did my makeup for my engagement photos shoot and I couldn't have been happier.

Initially, I only hired Karen for my bridal makeup and hair. She was extremely flexible with requiring me to give her the number of additional people that would also need makeup and hair done until about a month before the wedding. I really appreciated that, because, with everything that my bridal party had to worry about, I didn't want to overwhelm my girls with having to decide if they wanted to spend the money. In the end, Karen and her two assistants, Penelope and Angela, did a great job with myself, the two moms, a sister, and 4 bridesmaids makeup and hair, all within 4-5 hours. They were on time (actually probably 10 minutes early), extremely professional, and prepared. Karen worked with me and my overly obsessive requests over and over until my hair and makeup were perfect. The makeup translated so well in my wedding photos such that I was glowing, but in such a natural way. Not just myself, but all of my wedding party were so impressed with their work. They spent the time touching up the girls that had to start getting ready earlier in the day until we were all photo ready. I really appreciated that she brought some ambiance music to play in the background while we got ready. She also was not overly chatty, which I love because with wedding day jitters, I personally would not want to be stumped for conversation. :)

As for the value, just do your research and you'll see that you can't beat her prices.

I would happily hire Karen again for any other special occasion makeup, and recommend her to any friends. In fact, I have, and she is going to be doing my best friend and bridal party (including me, yay!) in September 2012.

I found Karen in the knick of time! The first MUA that I had chosen to go with canceled on me because she had gotten the dates wrong... I panicked and frantically searched and came upon Karen Lee.

I am so happy to have found her! I loved the trial that I had with her which sealed the deal. I absolutely loved the way I looked on my wedding day. I felt like myself. The makeup lasted all evening and the hair did not go out of place.

She is a great professional and her assistant was also top-notch. You won't be disappointed in the quality provided by Karen!

Awesome, awesome, awesome! Everything that was done during my trial transferred to my wedding day - I did make changes the day of, but Karen was so accommodating and helpful! She was extremely professional and I was finished in time for the photographer to start taking pictures. Her work is great and my makeup stayed on all day and night!

Karen is amazing!!! She did my makeup and hair, as well as, one of my bridesmaids makeup and her assistant did the rest of my bridesmaids hair and makeup. They did an excellent job, we looked so beautiful. These girls know what they are doing! Just bring a picture to give her an idea and she'll replicate it and make you look like a million bucks!

Also, not only is Karen the best at hair and makeup, she is a super sweet person too! She is very easy to talk to and makes you feel very comfortable. One of my bridesmaids loved her so much she has already hired her to do her hair and makeup for her 40th birthday party.

So if you're looking for a excellent hair and makeup stylist, look no further! You won't be disappointed and her prices are excellent!

Karen is super nice and makes faces look BEAUTIFUL! She works on you until you love your hair and makeup. Karen has a good eye for what works for you =) Make sure you do a trail so you both know what you want for your special day. Karen is WONDERFUL!

I found her through this website (Wedding Wire) and saw that she was an artist that offered her services at a reasonable price.

She is quick to respond, friendly, organized, and professional.

Karen can do any makeup style you want and any hairstyle you want! My hairstyle changed from when I did my trial and my wedding day. I showed her the kind of hairstyle I wanted the day of the wedding and the end product looked exactly like the picture! She's fabulous!

If your wedding party is big, then she'll have assistants with her to help her out.

Definitely use Karen if you want to look flawless on your wedding day!

Karen was an absolute breeze to work with. Of all the stressful things in wedding planning, my makeup & hair was the easiest decision. Not only are her rates very competitive, she's sweet and professional. She took the time to show me different options during my trial, and on the day of the wedding, she was on time, and did a marvelous job. I couldn't have wished for a better result, I was very happy. Karen did a wonderful job on my makeup. It was very natural and not overdone. She was on time and even accomodated us when my cousin cancelled one of her daughters hair and makeup the day of the wedding. The makeup lasted all day and I was not a shiny mess at all! I would definately use her again if I have an event to go to.

I love love love Karen! At the trial, she informed me of the best make-up for my skin, shadows to accent my eyes, and the do's and don'ts for the look I was shooting for on my wedding day. She tried different hair styles and made slight changes to show me each angle of style available. She graciously drove to me early in the morning for my engagement session. Then, on my wedding day, she brought herself and an amazing team that made us look like royalty. It felt so good to have my bridesmaids love how they look. I highly recommend her to all brides. I found Karen after she did my makeup when I was a bridesmaid for my friend's wedding. When it came to my turn, I decided to shop around first. I had trials with other make up artists... and was not happy with the results. I finally went back to Karen for a trial... and I loved it. I finally found someone who was good with hair and makeup, and not just one.

The night before my wedding, I was scrambling because I didn't have enough time to pick up hair accessories... so I emailed Karen. She was nice enough to let me borrow hers, and trusted me to return it to her. Also, on her advice, I bought hair extensions and she clipped them in for me without an extra charge (and still finished on time!) When I was done, she gave me a little kit with lip coloring, lip gloss, eyelash glue, powder and bobby pins. My makeup lasted the whole night!!

Karen is fantastic! I've worked with Karen prior to my wedding, and both times that she has done my makeup I have been beyond happy with it. I was happy with the natural looking makeup because I don't really wear heavy makeup on an everyday basis. She helped me to feel comfortable with the makeup I was wearing on my wedding day and I had lots of compliments.

Karen was punctual, always willing to answer my questions and was flexible when my needs changed fairly close to my wedding day.

At the end of the day my makeup still looked great and my hair was in place- can't ask for anything better on your wedding day :)

I hired karen to do my hair and make up for my boudoir photo shoot. She was very sweet and professional. She was great at answering any questions that I had and gave me the look that I wanted for my special photo shoot. If I could, I would give Karen 10 stars for what she did for me and my MOH. After she did my hair and makeup for my engagement pictures, I knew I was in good hands with Karen. She is the sweetest girl, very patient and gentle with her technique, and takes the time to get to know you. She still remembers when I told her how much I love eating spaghetti! She spent 2 hours doing my hair and makeup for the wedding, and when you're that up close and personal with someone for two hours, you want to and HAVE to like that person! Let me just say, that I love Karen to pieces. She stayed an additional hour after my hair and makeup just to make sure that us girls were okay and that everything was pinned and was in place.

When my husband first saw me he had this huge grin on his face and just said, "Wow. You're so gorgeous." Now, that's how you want your husband to greet you! I got so many compliments on my hair and makeup that day. I purchased extensions to make my hair look fuller, since my hairdo was 1/2 up and 1/2 down. She added double fake eyelashes which really made my eyes pop. I am so lucky and proud that Karen did our hair and makeup. I only wish that I had another reason to get done up, just so I can have Karen do my hair/makeup again! My MOH and I would randomly yell out throughout the day, "I love Karen." haha.

Hair & makeup is definitely one of the most important aspects of a wedding so I did A LOT of research before finally deciding to go with Karen Lee Makeup. I loved her work so much that I used her for everything! She did my hair and makeup for me at my cousin's wedding, my engagement shoot, my bridal shower, my wedding #1 (in Orange County), and finally my wedding #2 (in Los Angeles). (same marriage, just two different ceremonies/receptions)

She is super responsive to all calls and emails and is probably one of the most professional vendors that I've met. She is so talented that she knows exactly what you want, even if you can't describe it well. She is always on time and completes her work exactly when you need her to. She was very paitient with my picky bridal party and paid super close attention to details. Thanks to her, we were all looking great the entire day/night!

My makeup stayed on for 12+ hours each time and even at 10pm, I was still looking flawless! It seems crazy but everytime she does my hair & makeup, it's always better than the last. I will definitely be hiring her for many special occassions in the future. I've already recommended her to many friends & family members and 2 of them has already booked her for their wedding next year! Her prices are reasonable and it was worth every single penny!

Karen and her team were amazing! My bridal party and I looked red carpet worthy. I'm so glad I hired her to stay during part of the ceremony and the reception because I didn't have to worry about touching up my own hair and make-up for our pictures or after the first dance. I was worried my facial birth mark would show after a couple hours but the air brushed make-up stayed on though out the night. I loved how calm and professional she is when there are a dozen people in the room. I will definitely hire her again =)

I was originally going to do my own makeup for my wedding to try to save money but at the last minute became concerned about nerves, shakey hands, and the possibility of having to rush. I only had a few weeks to go, so I started looking for makeup artists on Wedding Wire. I first contacted someone else who didn't get back to me within a day. I know that isn't a problem for some, but I live in Vegas and was only going to be in California (where the wedding was going to be) for one more day. I needed to find someone fast. I gave up on the first person and contacted Karen. She responded by email immediately. We sent several messages back and forth, and she was willing to do a trial for me the very next day since she knew I was leaving town. I was so grateful! She did a wonderful job. The makeup at the wedding was even more beautiful! Everyone was complimenting it... even people who just saw pictures. I highly recommend Karen since she listens to what you want, is very flexible, has a great deal for trial and event, and gets back to the client so quickly. You won't regret calling on her!

Karen did a wonderful job. The makeup turned out great. I actually tried several artists, including a pretty popular one in Pasadena and Karen was way better. I just wish I tried her first so I didn't waste my money on the other trials. She made me feel very comfortable from the start. I don't know if it's me or not, but the other make up artists I've contacted take a few days to return my emails. Karen is very much on top of things. She gets back to you right away and provides wonderful suggestions. I actually had an eye infection a week before my wedding day and my eye was swollen from having minor surgery. Karen covered it up perfectly and no one noticed that I had a swollen eye. Even looking at the pictures now, I can't believe it didn't show. More than that, I found out the day of my wedding that she does airbrushing. I texted her the morning of and asked her to bring her airbrushing tools. It was perfect because I hugged and kissed a lot of people and nothing smeared. In fact, I didn't need to do any sort of touch up at all for the entire night.

Karen has so much talent in both hair & makeup artistry - I have no doubt she will soon be in very high demand, so book her quickly! From the first trial, she was so friendly and willing to make little changes to make sure I fell in love with my bridal look. My first trial was a little rushed because I had a family birthday celebration right after the appointment, so months later, when I changed my mind about how I wanted my hair (based on a photo of another bride's up-do from Karen's portfolio) she was so gracious and gave me a second hair trial for free.

She and her assistant worked quickly super early the morning of my wedding to help me and 6 bridesmaids get ready (they worked on hair & makeup for me and my matron of honor and hair only for the 5 other bms). We did run a little later than scheduled, but thankfully I had some cushion time planned just in case with the understanding that girls definitely take a long time to get ready! I was really pleased with how everyone turned out especially with the prices I paid - it was a steal!

I would definitely hire Karen again if I ever had a special event that I needed to get prettied up for.

Just had my makeup/hair trial with Karen and it was great! I arrived not knowing what I wanted, and somehow she was able to know exactly what looks good for me from random pictures I was choosing from. She’s a sweetheart and is a superb professional, which is important to me. She’s very thorough with her makeup application (sanitary) and attentive to detail of what would look good for me. My mom and friends LOVED the look she created for me so much. My wedding day isn’t here yet, but I had to provide a review for Karen because she was so great! I’m looking forward to my look on my wedding day because I know Karen will do an amazing job. I will provide another review after the big day. Thanks Karen!

One of my favorite vendors from the wedding. Karen was on-time, attentive, and even had to calm me down a little bit right before the wedding started (she could feel like lips trembling!) Her Makeup skills are great and I looked and felt like a million bucks. I had a trial with her over Thanksgiving weekend and booked the same day. I even made some changes from the original trial for the big day and she went with them - no questions asked (but dont abuse the poor girl if you are going to ask for drastic changes).

I gave Karen the heads up about my requested changes and some pictures. I think that made the transition smoother. She did both my hair and makeup and everyone loved it, even my mom who does not understand why people have to "pay for makeup application" but after seeing me, she thought it was totally worth it.

BOOK HER NOW. you wont regret it!!

Karen is a very talented make-up artist and I was extremely happy with the work she did for my wedding day. The quality of make-up that she uses is amazing, my wedding was over 14 hours and the make-up stayed on until the very end!
