I just wanted to say a HUGE thank you to Jackie and Becky for doing my hair snd makeup. I felt like an absolute princess and so beautiful and that's because of them both! Great for My Wedding Hair!
I reached out to Jackie after talking to so many vendors and was so happy when she was available and within my budget for my wedding in Malibu. Emma did my hair and I was looking for someone who could do an Old Hollywood Glamour look, which she did perfectly! She also did the hair for my bridesmaids, mother, and mother in law who were all happy with their looks. She is so kind, calm, and talented, I can't recommend Emma enough for your event!

I have been using Jackie for special event makeup services for a decade. Nothing makes me feel more confident and beautiful than being made up by her!
So, the day we found our wedding venue, she was the first call I made. I KNEW I had to have her for my wedding day.
Jackie and Emma helped me, my mother, my sister, and best friend get ready for the big day.
They made sure I was 100% happy. This was a challenge within itself because I really didn’t have a clear idea of what I wanted. AND I am a perfectionist.
But, when they were done, OH GOD! I really felt the most beautiful I have in my entire life. And all my family loved her too and felt the same way!

I'm embarrassed to admit how close to the wedding I thought to book hair & makeup (and as someone who barely knows how to dry her hair, much less style it, believe me it was necessary to have help), but Jackie was absolutely amazing! She fit me into her busy schedule early and her work lasted the entire day and night! Throughout the process, she had a great balance of wonderful instincts, but also listened and worked with me if there was something wanted to tweak a bit. She used fantastic high-quality products, and even styled my hair in the exact way I'd imagined while managing to obscure my highlight grow-out! Hiring Jackie to do the hair and makeup for our wedding was hands down the best decision. Her team (Jackie, Cindy, and Emma) did hair and makeup for me (the bride) my bridesmaids, and my mom. They all did a phenomenal job and we looked gorgeous. I was pleased at the trial, but her work was even better on the wedding day. Besides her amazing skill, Jackie is also so enjoyable to have around. She is easy to talk to and even though I was so indecisive on my lip color, she somehow figured out what I wanted and kept adjusting the color until it was perfect. My hair and makeup looked perfect all night and I couldn't have been more pleased.
Jackie also did my spray tans for my bridal shower and the wedding itself and they looked incredible. I received so many compliments on how tan I was (AKA it looked so natural that people couldn't tell it was a spray tan). If you're reading this and thinking about hiring Jackie, don't hesitate. You absolutely won't regret it.

Jackie was everything I could have dreamed of in a wedding makeup and hairstylist. She first impressed me with her quick responses to my inquiry and questions--even on the weekend while she was working weddings! Throughout the whole planning process, she was my most responsive vendor, even better than my reception coordinator! She was very flexible, willing to make changes multiple times to the start time and number of people receiving services as my plans kept changing. She was extremely friendly--I was a little bit anxious for my trial, having seen so many trials gone wrong on the Internet and not having the firmest idea of what I wanted for my makeup, but she put me right at ease and kept me talking and laughing with her the whole time. And then of course, her hair and makeup skills are a DREAM. I felt the most beautiful I have ever felt in my entire life on my wedding day, and my bridesmaids all looked stunning as well. Jackie is amazing! I contacted her after loving her work on Instagram... I had two failed bridal trials and when I found Jackie’s page, I knew she was the one for me. We set up a bridal hair/make-up trial and she was so skilled, creative, patient and kind. I didn’t need to think about booking her for me and my (9) ladies/girls.
Jackie promised I would love my hair and make up even more at the wedding... I couldn’t imagine but, boy did she deliver! She made me feel so beautiful. Looked & felt like a QUEEN on my wedding day
I asked my wedding coordinator, Monique Provance for a hair and makeup artist and she recommended me to Jackie Romero. Definitely one of the best decisions I've made!
She replied very promptly, and is super easy to talk to. I only had something specific in my mind for my hair, and practically nothing for makeup. I simply showed her stuff I like, and what I do for my daily makeup (which was pretty minimal), and she thankfully took it in her hands to create a makeup look for me. Even for the engagement photos, I looked and felt gorgeous. She was also very patient with me, since I have trouble when other people are applying makeup around my waterline.
She's also pretty quick to work (not rushing, just very efficient). I blocked out a lot of time for the engagement makeup, as well as wedding day makeup and she finished ahead of schedule both times!
If you are not quite sure what you want exactly, just gather some ideas and Jackie can give you feedback. I trusted her judgement and trusted her to make the right call on my makeup, and it ended up looking so gorgeous. So did my mom, and my 2 girls. My mom especially, since she's not usually big on makeup. The most important thing is that I still looked like myself, even with heavy makeup. She didn't try to make any of us look like a different person, simply a more glammed up (and sparklier) version of ourselves.
She definitely loves to go big on the glam, but then again I don't mind that and I'm only getting married once, so I was definitely in the mindset of go big or go home! Her assistants were also really patient and amazing! My hair and makeup for the engagement photos, especially, really lasted even though we shot engagement photos on the beach.
I highly recommend Jackie, since if you show her what you want (or even just ideas of what you want), she can deliver it exactly the way you want or even better!

Jackie was such a pleasure to work with! When I met her for the trial, I knew she was the one I wanted to do my makeup!
I had her do my spray tan a few days before the wedding as well and she made me look like a bronzed goddess!(I’m always nervous about spray tans being orangey but the product she uses looks so natural). She even followed up with me to make sure it was to my liking.
On the wedding day she applied 2 bridesmaids makeup and mine as well. The bridesmaids makeup was beautiful and my makeup was amazing! I knew I wanted red lip and she worked her magic and created the perfect red lip for the night. My makeup lasted throughout the night and I didn’t even need any touch ups!

To say Jackie is amazing would be an understatement. Our first appointment she styled my hair for my engagement shoot, and it was perfect! From then on she did both my hair and make up for not only all my bridal events but also any soirée I had to attend. She killed it every time! I’m really picky about my face make up and she made me feel flawless every time. I wanted to wear extensions (for fullness) on my wedding day. I was hesitant because I had never worn them before. Not only did she walk me through the pros and cons of extensions, she actually went with me to the store to make sure we got the best ones for my hair. I am so happy I found Jackie. I was sat up with Emma and did a trial loved it but after viewing her pictures I found a hairstyle I loved even more. I love how polite and nice she was. I loved that she was able to do someone else’s hair even though I had only booked her for two. If I ever have any kind of even i will definitely contact them again. My hair lasted until 3 am when I took out all 27072 bobby pins !

When I first started looking for hair and make up I put her through the ringer saying I needed her go r hair and then I didn’t need her for hair and then I needed her for hair. She was amazing she said OK no problem every time I change my mind. Myself, my mother, my mother-in-law, and my bridesmaids are still talking about how much they loved their hair and make up 2 1/2 months after her wedding. Jackie Romero made my wedding day absolute PERFECTION!! I live in NYC and was getting married in LA, so I was FREAKING out about finding a hair/makeup person. I spent 2 weeks in LA over Christmas frantically meeting with (5) different stylists and doing trials. Some of them were horrible!! When I found Jackie I was in love: her sweet, calm demeanor, responsiveness, willingness to listen and take my feedback were all so helpful. She was only interested in making me look like the best version of myself and also ensuring I was 10000% happy with the results. I ended up booking her that day and can honestly say she was one of the best vendors I worked with. She and her team made the day absolutely flawless, and I felt like I could trust her completely (not so easy for a neurotic new yorker) which helped me to be much more relaxed and enjoy my day. Her prices are also SO reasonable, it was a complete no-brainer, she is beyond worth it so don't even hesitate to book her!! I am beyond grateful that I found Jackie!

I can be very particular with how I do my hair and makeup. I found Jackie through social media instagram and weddingwire and let me tell you her reviews and pictures only begin to touch the surface of just how amazing she is. She is friendly, professional, listens to what people want but most importantly, KNOWS WHAT SHE IS DOING!!!! She has experience in what she does. Its no wonder her pictures always show happy clients. If you show her pics of what you want done to your hair and makeup, she will fulfill your expectation. If you have no idea what you want and leave it up to her to glam you up, I know you wont be disapointed. Her prices are affordable and customer service is phenomenal. She made me feel so pretty on both my engagement shoot as well as my wedding day. I have nothing but great things to say about her, would highly reccomend, and hire her again. If I have another special event, she will be my go to person for hair and makeup, no questions asked :)

Jackie is hands down the best make up artist I have ever used. Not only is she extremely talented, but she is so personable. Everyone who was at our getting ready location was amazed by her work and thought she was so sweet. We originally agreed upon a look at our bridal trial and 4 days before the wedding I decided that's not the look I wanted and gave her a vague description of my new desired look. She took my notes and ran with it. I felt like such a princess! Jackie also does amazing hair. I had mine in a low bun and let me tell you, after all the running around and dancing I did that night I'm surprised it did not move at all. I would recommend Jackie to every bride. Jackie and her helper Becky did an amazing job on my wedding hair and makeup. My 4 bridesmaids and my mom's hair and makeup also was just beautiful. We had so much fun during the morning getting ready and were so happy to have Jackie and Becky be apart of our day. My now husband cried at first sight because I looked so beautiful. I hired Jackie and her team to do my hair and makeup + 10 other women's for my wedding. They (especially Jackie) did an amazing job! I hired Jackie not knowing anyone else that she's done and just trusting online reviews and I was SO HAPPY. I'm now recommending her to all my friends who're getting married or have events! From the first email she was very sweet and courteous, not to mention always prompt in getting back to me! Scheduling the makeup trial was a breeze, and I did mine about three weeks before the wedding. She's very patient and even spent about 15-20 minutes helping me decide on the lip color I wanted (we ended up mixing two colors). She was very responsive to my feedback and ended up making the tweaks I wanted quickly and easily. I didn't really give her much direction and she still did an amazing job. On the wedding day, she and her team showed up at 6 AM (!) and they worked non-stop until everyone was done (about 5-6 hours). My hair and makeup lasted ALL DAY from 9 am until I wiped it off at midnight. Everyone was asking me where I got my makeup done and all women they did ( both bridesmaids and our moms) looked amazing well after midnight. Overall, Jackie turned out to be one of my very favorite wedding vendors and I look forward to having my makeup done by her again in the future!
As a plus, she's VERY competitively priced! The value you get is phenomenal.

I am so lucky I discovered Jackie. She is that rare find in a makeup artist. She is talented, professional, loves what she does and holds herself to an incredibly high standard. She is also the sweetest person ever.
She did my hair and makeup for an event and the results were amazing. I have hair extensions and difficult skin tone to match. I've been to other makeup and hairstylist that weren't able to get good results. Jackie transformed me. She did my makeup and it lasted perfectly all night. I had dinner and drinks and did not have to touch up anything, not even my lipstick.

Jackie and her assistant Becky are awesome. Jackie did my make up for the wedding and I was getting compliments all night of how gorgeous I looked. Jackie made me look just like a princess right out of a fairy tale and her assistant Becky did a great job as well keeping everything to schedule assisting with my hair while Jackie did my make up. I didn't have time for a trial planning my own wedding was hectic, but Jackie is so talented that you only really needed just to tell her what you want and she will do everything she can to make sure that you are happy with the end product. I showed her some pictures I got from the internet of the style of make up and hair that I wanted and she was able to execute it perfectly. She even did my mom' s make up and hair and she love it, all my friends kept telling me how beautiful and young my mom looked. She makes you feel at ease and is so responsive to changes or your feedback, if you want to change your hair or makeup a different way while in the process or after her work, she is so willing to accommodate you. she comes with tons of makeup options. I used her services several times for various trials and a wedding shoot before the wedding. She is so sweet, and transformed me. On my wedding day, I decided not to do an up-do and instead a beach-y wavy look with a flower and decided less eye makeup for an outdoor wedding. She really treats you face like a canvas, making anyone's skin look flawless, but not caked since I am all about au natural. My hair was so good it lasted for 3 days after the wedding!! OMG I normally don't last a day with a good blowout. Jackie and her assistants worked on my aunt, my mom, and my mother in law at the day of the wedding, and made them all look stylish and glam, and not overdone for older women. I found her pricing to be the best around, so you are getting top notch service for a price that is not overly ridiculous. $200 for her to come to you for hair and makeup for wedding, a trial is a different price, and different price for the moms.

I hired Jackie for my engagement photoshoot, wedding hair and makeup trial and for my wedding. I did not have bridesmaids but hired her to do myself, my mom, mom in law and sis in law. From the first day I met her she was so professional and is just truly an expert at what she does. I really was nervous since I am Asian and have had issues with people doing my makeup in the past- especially my eyelids! She was very understanding but there was no need for my nervousness as she executed my vision perfectly - both for my engagement and for my wedding! She is a great listener and is very open to criticism but also is not afraid to put in her 2 cents. For example, I usually only ever wear a darker hue for a lipstick and never a nude or a lighter color, for my wedding she suggested I go lighter and she was perfectly right. I ended up looking very classy and soft and elegant rather than the darker lip I had thought I wanted which made me look older and more serious! She is really the sweetest too and we had the best conversations when she was doing my makeup. She is so easygoing and really put me at ease especially the morning of my wedding. I highly recommend her she is the best! Also, the makeup did not budge- my mother in law fell asleep with her makeup on and she said it was still on the next day lol.

I can't say enough good things about Jackie and her team! They arrived at my home on time, ready to take on the 8 of us for my wedding. I looked exactly how I envisioned and better than the pictures I sent her. I wanted natural and romantic, but with enough coverage to take great pictures - and that is what she gave me. Everyone in my party was so happy with their hair and make-up, which isn't an easy feat! When I first contacted Jackie to inquire about hair and makeup services for my upcoming wedding, I immediately felt Jackie's warm and friendly personality come through via the emails we exchanged.
My decision to book with Jackie was based on the value of her services and the quality of her work - based on her Instagram and website photos of previous clients. I don't live in the area, and I knew that a trail session would not be possible. I wanted to make sure that the hair and makeup artist that I chose, would be able to deliver on the day of my wedding, and Jackie truly did.
We had a party of 7 who were getting hair and makeup services and Jackie brought a whole team with her, to ensure that we'd be done on time. For anyone planning a wedding, knowing that your vendors value your wedding day timeline, is extremely important.
I didn't have a clear idea of how I wanted my bridal hair and makeup done, but brought some example photos to show Jackie. She put me at ease and always communicated with me during the process to ensure that we both were on the same page. If I had a preference, she made sure to adjust to accommodate that preference. She would also provide guidance, if I couldn't make a decision. In the end, I absolutely loved how my hair and makeup turned out for my wedding. I felt in control and pampered!
My only advice to other brides is to communicate to Jackie if you have a preference on who in your bridal party, you want her to work on. I didn't do this, so it was somewhat random, who got Jackie and who got her assistants. Jackie won't be able to work on everyone, especially if you have a larger party, so you definitely want her to work on the VIPs in your group.
Thank you for making me feel great on my wedding day, Jackie! You are a truly gifted artist and your charming personality is just icing on the cake!

Having Jackie do my hair and make-up for my engagement photo-shoot, bridal shower, and wedding was one of the major things that made being a bride this year so amazing for me! I hired Jackie not ever meeting her, but as a referral. Oh my gosh, am I SO GLAD that I did. She did exactly what I wanted in regards to hair and makeup for my wedding day! I don't wear a lot of makeup on a daily basis so I was a little nervous that I wouldn't feel like myself with a professional doing my makeup. I felt beautiful! Like most brides, I needed to make sure my make up was flawless for photos yet, that I looked natural when people were standing close to me all day at my wedding & Jackie accomplished this without a hiccup !! She listened to my needs, she offered suggestions if i wanted them on the trial run and per my request, she used different makeup tones/colors and liquid/powder on each side of my face to let me choose what I felt comfortable with because I wasn't sure and she just wanted me to be happy ...to top it off she is genuinely sweet and calming by nature which will be exactly what you need on wedding day with everything else being so hectic. Jackie was absolutely a dream to work with. She was flexible, understanding and gives you absolutely everything you want. She's a true professional and knows what she's doing. I received so many compliments for my makeup and hair, makeup was done at 11am and i was dancing the night away in full makeup after a day full of emotions. She makes herself available to the time you need her with great spirits and you really cant ask for anything more. I have found my makeup artist for life. She's a ray of sunshine on what was one of my best days of my life, I would recommend her to everyone. I look forward to working with her again.

Jackie was so easy to work with! I showed her pictures of what I wanted for the big day and she just got it! On the actual wedding day, her and her team were super efficient and made sure to take each girls desires for type of curl/style into consideration and they all nailed it. She also did a few of the bridesmaids makeup and they were STUNNING! I definitely recommend her :)

Jackie's work is AMAZING!
She did my make up for my wedding and it came out perfect! it was exactly the look my bridesmaid's and I were going for. I loved working with her, she provided great service. Jackie was very responsive when it came to exchanging emails, and on the big day she arrived right on time :) the make up / hair process was smooth...she applied her skills and turned me into a beautiful bride ( make up lasted ALL day/night)

Jackie is the best hair/makeup artist in LA! She is my glam girl for all my red carpet events (film premieres, Grammy's, Emmy's, AMAs, shows, etc.). She is super sweet, I love her dearly. Jackie always makes me look and feel my very best. I would give her 12 stars if I could!

Jackie is a gem! She made me feel and look incredible on the big day! I found her on thumbtack and messaged her, she instantly replied and was clear with the vision I wanted and also with the budget I had- big plus! I immediately booked her! Leading up to the big day, I would text her pictures of different kinds of make up I liked on different women and she was so kind to understand my wants and the style I liked. On the big day, she was on time and fully equipped when she came to my home. I was so impressed. She uses top notch products and she's very sanitary. When we were done and I was ready to go, she cleaned up her station and packed it all up in record time. I can't stress enough how happy I am with Jackie. She has become my go-to artist also for my mom and family! I've referred her to all of my family and friends and they all love her work! Thank you Jackie!!!

Jackie played such an amazing part of my wedding day. As far as her part in completing my hair and makeup, she was masterful in her attention to details, highlighting the best characteristics, and providing me with the look that I wanted. When she was done, I felt beautiful and special like the day, but yet still myself.
The reason why I chose Jackie, however, was for more than her talent in hair and makeup. I chose her because when I met her I immediately felt comfortable in her presence. She has a positive personality and genuinely cares for her clients. I knew that on a day where there would be so many things to stress about, she would be someone who would not add to the stress-but she did in fact diminish it!
Jackie will give you what you are looking for, and over-deliver in the best way. You can't go wrong with this talented and caring artist.

Jackie is an amazingly talented makeup artist! I have never been happier with my makeup and hair. She has done many photo shoots, shows, and my wedding and knew what to do to make each one unique. She's a true artist. On top of her talent, she's extremely professional, always on time, very sweet, helpful, and organized. She helped me coordinate and organize the timing for my bridal party on the day of my wedding which was extremely helpful! She always goes above and beyond. She comes highly recommended! ??

Hire her! I used Jackie for not only my hair and makeup for my wedding, but for my mother's hair and makeup, and my grandmother's/aunt's/bridesmaid's hair. There are not enough good things I can say about Jackie - she is a true professional and extremely talented at what she does. She contacted me several weeks prior to set up a trial appointment (which I recommend if you're a bit on the fence about what you want), which she traveled to my apartment to complete.
For the wedding itself, I decided to do my hair differently from what was done at the trial, and Jackie rolled with it seamlessly and did magic with my hair. She showed up to our hotel right on time, and everything was done exactly on schedule. My mother and family were thrilled with what she did and could not stop mentioning to me afterwards about great Jackie was.
On top of everything, Jackie is incredibly sweet and personable, and does a great job of putting you at ease as she's getting you ready. As someone who normally wears next to no makeup and isn't used to having a lot on, it's wonderful to have a cheerleader like her in your corner. Hair/makeup held up through the whole night and looked perfect.
I cannot recommend her enough - Jackie is worth it!

JACKIE....IS AWESOME! She definitely will make you feel beautiful on whatever occasion. She did my make-up for my bridal shower, wedding and for my friend's wedding! She makes you feel comfortable and is willing to go to your house. She has so many options in her collection and gives you make-up suggestions, if you do not know what your look is. Several friends have used Jackie for their weddings after seeing her work at my wedding. She allocated plenty of time to get the bridal party ready according my timeline. Everyone loved the way they looked! She made me feel so comfortable and relaxed the day of. Her positive energy is contagious! My hair and makeup turned out even better than I imagined. She was so organized and professional throughout the process. I was so grateful that she listened and executed exactly what I asked for. I don't know a single person who didn't love the way they looked after using Jackie.

I had just moved back to Southern CA and needed to find a hair and make-up artist that was local to LA for my wedding in Long Beach. I found Jackie on this site and am so glad I did! She was very easy to work with and VERY affordable given the prices of other LA hair/make-up artists in the area. I showed her some pictures, explained to her my style, and she made me feel like a beautiful bride. And despite the heat and humidity of the day, my hair and make-up stayed put! She also accommodated a last-minute change in location of where we were getting ready which I was very grateful for. I would definitely recommend her to anyone!
