We absolutely loved having Jonathan help us with our wedding!

We had two major things working against us in our preparation - we have hectic schedules and we didn't know what we wanted for a wedding ceremony. Jonathan met with us after dinner on video chats, telephone calls, and lots of emails to ensure that both my fiance and me were happy with the ceremony design and wording. Jonathan explained all of the ins and outs of the ceremony. In particular, I appreciated how he explained why some wedding ceremonies have a unity aspect (candles, sand, dirt, ribbons, etc.). He helped us find what would work for us personally and practically (it was an outdoor wedding).

If you are looking for someone to help you throughout the process without bringing a list of things that you have to do for them, Jonathan is the best!

Professional, well spoken, kind, organized, punctual, reliable, willing to go the extra mile. Jonathan was the perfect fit for our Santa Barbara wedding. We had found Jonathan while searching the internet for a local officiant and could not be happier. He communicated with us very well throughout the entire process and worked perfect for us. Her family being Catholic and my family being Christian, Jonathan worked with us in constructing a perfect mix of tradition and modern day beliefs. He even went as far as asking us what we wanted him to wear! I would highly recommend Jonathan to anyone looking for an officiant.

The main reason why we give Jonathan such high praise is because during the shuffle and commotion of the wedding we some how misplaced our marriage license and thought we would have to go through the entire process again. Jonathan went to the courthouse personally and handled the matter by himself and let us know when it was done.

With wedding being so hectic, having someone you know you can rely on, is really one less thing you will have to worry about. Also, when Jonathan asks if you would prefer him turn in the wedding license, SAY YES!

Having Johnathan Hall from Make It Yours Weddings and Ceremonies as our officiant was the easiest and best decision we made! Working with Johnathan was seamless and absolutely enjoyable! Our ceremony was exactly what the groom and I had vision. In fact after our ceremony we had guests ask if our officiant was an old family friend because the way he spoke felt so personable. Johnathan was awesome! The first time we met he asked us a lot of questions and really listened to what we wanted for our wedding. He gave guidance when we needed it and made sure our wishes were priority. He was always very quick to reply to emails and texts and the best part was after we first met my husband said how much he liked him. We both agreed that he was by far the best choice as our officiant and exceeded all our expectations. If your looking for an amazing officiant Johnathan is the best choice!

After thorough research online, we have scheduled our first meeting with Jonathan and right from that meeting, we didn't have to think twice. He was very pleasant and accommodating. And very caring and concerned about the details of the ceremony. He made sure that the ceremony that we have dreamed of actually became reality. He was also very fun and he made everyone at the wedding feel very comfortable and happy, like he's part of the family. Our wedding was on Easter Sunday and he still accommodated us even with his busy schedule that weekend. He even coordinated our rehearsel the day before. He made it all happen as promised.

After a few minutes talking to Jonathan, he got it. He understood how I wanted the event to happen and "listened" to us. The event was the best ever. To anyone in Ventura County, my wife did sales and catering for colleges and country clubs for years. Her experience with anniversaries and weddings is vast, and Jonathan was professional as well as personable. I recommend that you talk to him first, you wont have to go any further.

This was a destination Wedding and we did not know anyone to perform our wedding. Jonathan was super willing to meet up with us at "Peets Coffee" just to get to know him and we decided that he was the right fit for us that very day. We were amazed at how Jonathan gently helped us through several things in our planning and our wedding could not have been better! Thanks so much for every detail Jonathan!

We were from out of state and late on getting an officiant and Jonathan was available at the last minute. He fulfilled all our expectations and then some. He helped make our special day just that much more special and we are grateful we found him.

My bride and I had never met Jonathan prior to our wedding event. Neither of us could have asked for more, his direction was spot on, his input was caring and he made us feel as if we had known him for years. I run a ministry and know plenty of pastors, I can say with all confidence that I would recommend Jonathan before all of the pastors I know with the exception of maybe one. You wont be dissapointed.

Jonathan officiated my wedding and was so great- he was very professional, responsive, and easy to communicate with. He met with us in person before the wedding to discuss the ceremony and attended the rehearsal as well, which I really appreciated and felt like was above and beyond. He provided several resources for me to help with creating the perfect ceremony. I would recommend him to anyone!

Jonathan was absolutely awesome!! After having met with another pastor who was very blah, no spark, I knew once meeting up with Jonathan that he would be a great fit for my husband and I, and our families for our wedding. Very friendly, genuine, funny, informative, flexible, understanding. He's awesome! Our ceremony was based on what my husband and I wanted, he never tried to force anything. Jonathan offered multiple options to ceremony ideas when we were too crazy or tired to think :) Bottom line, all of our guests had nothing but compliments to say about Jonathan and so did we. Let me start off by saying that if you are a bride/groom looking for the most amazing wedding experience, you need to hire Make It Yours Weddings & Ceremonies! Finding Jonathan was like finding a bright light at the end of a dark tunnel for us and was by far the best wedding decision we made. I had been through so many phone interviews trying to find the right officiant but didn't feel any connections and was starting to get discouraged that I might have to settle for less than I had envisioned on my wedding day. BUT I definitely didn't have to settle, in fact my wedding was far more perfect than I could have ever imagined thanks to Jonathan. After talking to him on the phone for the first time, I felt instantly at peace and so excited for our ceremony because I knew he understood all of our wishes and was commited to making the ceremony unique and all about us. After our initial meeting in Ventura, Jonathan made sure to email me in the months leading up to the wedding so that I could rest assured that we were on track. He sent me a draft of his sermon ahead of time and also sent us examples of ring vows to choose from. It was also a wonderful help to have him proofread my personal wedding vows. When our wedding day finally came I was so calm and loved every minute of our ceremony. People are still telling us how detailed and personal it was. God has truly blessed this man with an incredible gift and we are so thankful and honored that he officiated our wedding. Thank you Jonathan so much for going above and beyond to make our wedding day so special!!

If you need an officiant this is your guy! He's an amazing pastor and he made us feel so comfortable from our first meeting to our big day! He was so helpful with my new bride questions and helped me get to our wedding day with no stress! He was so understanding and worked with us and our ceremony was just how we pictured it!! Can't explain how greatful i am to have come across his name!

Jonathan was fantastic! My husband and I wanted our ceremony to be more faith-based and spiritual versus having a religious wedding since we practice different faiths. Jonathan was able to provide us that sense of spirituality that we were looking for as well as making it very personal to our relationship. He communicated easily and made us feel very comfortable from the start. He also helped make the whole processes of planning out the ceremony easy and non complicated. At the end of the day most of our guest said that our ceremony was one of their favorite ceremonies they have witnessed and I know it has much to do with having Jonathan as our officiant.

We found Jonathan after searching for over a month for the perfect officiant!

We went through almost every officiant in the area and they were either boring, overpriced or looked like a creeper (it was important to us NOT have creeper vibe at the wedding). We were at our wits end when we somehow came across Jonathan.

Our first meeting was at Coffee Bean for a drink. My husband and I love traveling and he was such a good sport sharing tales of his travels to far away countries. He was also super patient because during our interview we were probably interrupted 10 times by random strangers who wanted to say "Hi" to our newly adopted puppy This is when we decided our puppy would not be coming with us during any more meetings....

Jonathan had a template for us as an example so we just filled in the blanks. What I loved was the ceremony was sincere, not too long and not too short. He tailored his message to fit our theme. He was professional and paid attention to details. There are no unwanted surprises because he goes over the format with you before the wedding.

He also attended our wedding rehearsal and did the prayer for our reception (My family has verbal diarrhea so I appreciated that!)

He was everything we wanted in an officiant! So glad to have found him!

Jonathan was very easy to work with and very flexible with our requests throughout the process. He was very easy to talk to and get to know making the ceremony more intimate. In the end, he was able to make the ceremony the way we had pictured it and wanted it to be. Most thought he was a close friend that must have known us forever.

He was an excellent officiant and a new friend!

My husband and I had less than a couple of months to find an officiant because the SB courthouse could not provide us with a Judge they promised was available when we rented out the Mural Room and we were in panic mode. Jonathan was very professional and went out of his way to help us since the beginning. From quick email responses to working with our schedules in order to Skype with us, he was not only professional and pleasant to work with but also flexible to assist us with last minute changes. He is truly a gift and we cannot be more grateful enough to have found and met him!

Jonathan is AMAZING! I was very particular when I set out to find our officiant, I had been to sooooo many weddings where the officiant was horrible (ie talked in 3rd person, make tasteless jokes, or over powered the ceremony with their own personality) Thus, finding the right person to stand with my husband and I on our special day was VERY important. From the first meeting, we felt so comfortable with Jonathan. He is professional, organized, flexible, funny and kind. Overall the perfect person you want standing up there with you. He is amazing at guiding you as you decide on what you want your ceremony to look like. I had some ideas, and he helped me bring them all together. If really is about you and what you want, our ceremony was exactly us and even better than we had imagined it to be. We also took advantage of the pre-martial counseling session option. At first my fiancé felt it was just another money and time commitment in our very busy pre-wedding lives, but after a few sessions he was opening up more than I have even see him open up to anyone. We had already had the "big issue" conversations and were on the same page about money, children and the like; but the sessions helped up focus on us and our relationship in a way we hadn't over the 13 years of dating, yes 13! I can truly say that our relationship is the best its ever been. I recommend Jonathan without any hesitation; my ceremony was my favorite part of my whole day!

Jonathan performed our wedding ceremony, and we could not have been more pleased with the outcome. His guidance and expertise was incredibly helpful when it came to planning our ceremony. He allows couples to start entirely from scratch and build their wedding exactly as they want, providing lots of materials to go off of and input when it is desired. He went above and beyond, meeting with us ahead of booking to discuss our hopes for the big day, and then helping to lead a rehearsal the night before. He also came early on the wedding day to be with my then-fiance and I as we prepared for the ceremony. The ceremony itself was just beautiful, and Jonathan did an amazing job of capturing the spirit of the day in words and emphasizing the religious and familial aspects we wanted to stand out. I felt that his rates were very affordable for the many services provided.

We could not have found a better officiant for our wedding than Jonathan. He guided us through the entire process of creating our ceremony, providing us with readings and suggestions, but letting us take our own direction and giving us valuable feedback. He truly let us make the ceremony into our own, with a compassionate understanding of how we wanted the ceremony to go.

Jonathan delivered our ceremony so beautifully. He was professional, yet fit right in with the relaxed atmosphere we wanted for our wedding. We were very lucky that are entire day went so smoothly, and Jonathan played a huge role in its success. He took the time to make sure that everything went the way we wanted, down to the smallest of details. Our friends and family keep asking us where we found such a wonderful officiant who fit into our day so perfectly. From the beginning process of crafting our ceremony to the moment we walked back down the aisle as husband and wife, we were so glad to have Jonathan as a part of it all!

Hi! I just wanted to say that Jonathan was extremely professional throughout the process with us. We wanted a fun and simple wedding - Jonathan delivered!

He did not fill our names in the blank with his same old service. He genuinely cared about our service, which was so nice (compared to a friend's ceremony who was not happy with her officiant).

He showed up early and took the time to get to know our family and friends. I had a funny middle name that I wanted pronounced. Jonathan nailed the pronunciation! Yep...it is the small things! :)

Jonathan was absolutely fantastic! Jonathan was in constant communication with us throughout the process, and he helped provide insight into how to craft the ceremony of our dreams. We loved that Jonathan didn't rely on a cookie cutter script/vows, but instead really took the time to get to know us.

I'm truly pleased that we were able to find Jonathan because he really understood how to make our day perfect. If he's available on your wedding date, do yourself a favor and book him now!

Jonathan was a huge help during my wedding planning. He was very flexible both in schedule and in what I needed done for myself and the ceremony. Hopefully I will never need to get married again, LOL, but I would definately recommend him to anyone who askes.

The officiant (Jonathan) made our wedding unique for us. We had met with other officiants and they had a pre-set services. Basically, they just inserted our names. "Make it yours weddings and ceremonies" did exactly what their name says that they would do for us!

Jonathan met with us and designed the service. He understood that we wanted family members to play music, read poems, etc. He was extremely flexible.

Jonathan offered to do pre-marital counseling. The counseling was not required; my mother offered to pay for them. We did three sessions to help prepare us for some issues that we thought might come up (in-laws, kids, finances). We came to a mututal understanding in these areas. He also helped us better communicate our love with one another.

Jonathan showed up on time and acted professional throughout the entire service. He partnered with the wedding coordinator, so everything ran smoothly. By the time of the wedding, he was a part of the family, which was nice. My mother thought that I was being married by a stranger, so she was happy that I got to know him better.

We need an officiant for our Santa Barbara courthouse wedding and found Pastor Jonathan Hall on wedding wire. We emailed back and forth and then met with him twice. I could not have been more pleased with the helpfulness and professionalism and the time he took with us to make this a very special experience. We are not very creative and my husband and I had no idea what to write for our vows. The first time we met with him we talked for about 2 hours. He got to know us and we got to know him as well. After that meeting he emailed us many samples of all of the vows and ideas of how to make this special. We picked some and tweaked some and the final draft was awesome and fit us just perfectly.
During the ceremony itself I was super nervous. I do not like any attention on myself and it's overwhelming to have a group of people staring at you, at least for me. He has a very calm way about him and made it much better for me.

We had an excellent experience with Jonathan from Make It Yours Wedding. He has a relaxed, but professional approach and his sincerity and demeanor on the day of our wedding made the entire experience just the way that you want your big day to be.

We were looking for someone to perform our non-traditional, make it our way, ceremony and Jonathan was perfect. We met with him and told him about us and what we were looking for. He sent us his ahead of time the word for word vows that he was going to say. He made it personal and perfect. The only thing we missed was a rehearsal. We couldn't get our schedules to work. Aside from that, he was great and we would definitely recommend him to others. We had many compliments from our guests how great he was.

Jonathan was great, he was professional and flexible. We were having trouble choosing our vows, so Jonathan met with us and helped us out. He did a great job performing our ceremony, thanks Jonathan????

Jonathon worked within our budget. We had a very brief five minute ceremony. He showed up on time but there were issues with payment in terms of agreeing to when payment was due and the method of payment. In the end it got sorted out. Jonathon is pretty low key which calms the nerves!
