Mai Oui Wedding Catering

Karen was excellent to work with and I would recommend that you use Mai Oui for your wedding. A few days before our wedding, we reached out to her about a few concerns and she responded within 24 hours and assured us that we would have a great experience and personally took charge of managing the event, which we appreciated.

The day of the event was executed perfectly, her staff worked tirelessly to make sure that guests were fed and worked in the background to make sure that there were no hiccups. Our guests really enjoyed the food and dietary needs were attended to! If you’re looking for a great experience for your wedding, I highly recommend hiring Mai Oui!

Best Catering in Jacksonville/St. Augustine!

We worked with Mai Oui for our wedding reception in November 2025 and were blown away by their delicious food and wonderful service. From the initial outreach to our curated tasting to the beautiful event itself, their team was professional and organized. Despite their extremely extensive list of food options, we asked the team to make a special hor d'oeuvre and not only were they accommodating enough to make it, they executed perfectly. It made our day that much more special! The donut flambé station was a huge hit with our guests! Thank you Sophie and the Mai Oui team for helping to make our wedding the best day ever!

Dream team

We are beyond thrilled with how the food turned out for our wedding! From the first bite to the last, everything was absolutely delicious. The appetizers were beautifully presented, and the main course options were diverse, ensuring there was something for every guest to enjoy. Our guests couldn't stop talking about the flavors, especially all the Latin food (tamales & empanadas), which was a standout!

Sophie and the Mai Oui! team was incredibly professional, ensuring everything was served at the perfect temperature and that every detail was taken care of. The catering staff were friendly and attentive, and the seamless service allowed us to truly enjoy our celebration without worry.

We also appreciated the flexibility in accommodating dietary preferences and restrictions, which made our guests feel well cared for. The desserts were an absolute hit—light, flavorful, and the perfect sweet ending to a perfect day.

We can’t thank the Mai Oui! team enough for making the food one of the most memorable parts of our wedding. Highly recommend to anyone looking for exceptional wedding catering!

Delicious food and creative menu! The Mai Oui team was excellent and provided a wonderful experience for us. Everyone loved their meal and our wedding was perfect! Wedding day catering!

Mai oui exceed our expectations and would recommend to anyone!! Karen and the entire staff were fantastic to work with. From the start they were so professional and fast to respond to ideas for the menu. They helped us create a unique menu that was tailored to us! The food was beyond delicious, and we got so many compliments from our guests saying, “this is the best food they have had at a wedding.” We are so grateful for everything they did to make our day so memorable. Best catering for wedding

Choosing Mai Oui for my wedding caterer was one of the best decisions I made for the entire wedding. The food was amazing, guests were raving about it. Amazing food and service

I’m just going to start off by saying that Karen and all of the staff at Mai Oui are the most “catering” group of people in this industry I have ever met. Karen answered all our crazy emails and text messages (that I will say we’re sometimes daily) without hesitation. She changed our menu requests time and time again and made sure we had everything we could have wanted within our budget. Not only that, but the food was amazing, as was the service. I would recommend this company tenfold. They made our wedding experience amazing and handled our wants and needs with ease and positivity. 10/10 would use them for any catering needs we have!

You MUST hire Ericka!

We worked with Ericka Yeager and her team at Mai Oui! and we knew we were in the best and most competent hands from our first tasting to the end of our wedding reception. Ericka is experienced, smart, professional, and exceptional at her job. We felt very comfortable talking about food options and giving feedback with her. She knew what we wanted before we did. During our 30-day walk-through and throughout our wedding reception, my husband and I repeatedly said to each other that Ericka is taking great care of us. She was buzzing around and getting the job done! I could go on forever but if you want someone who is smart, efficient, and who you can trust to run the show and take care of you and your guests, I strongly recommend Ericka and Mai Oui! Lastly, my mother, the mother of the bride, worked in catering for 20+ years and she was tremendously impressed with everything. If that doesn't say everything, I don't know what does. Wonderful food, wonderful staff!

The Mai Oui team is absolutely amazing. They helped us create a menu that fit both my needs (I'm a very simple eater) and my partner's vegetarian diet without making it an afterthought. He, and other guests, loved the spicy Korean tempeh steak, especially the sauce (no for real, can we get that recipe? :D ). Our bartending service was also found through them, so it rolled right into our full catering price (one less invoice to worry about)! We also utilized their day-of-coordination package with Karen and she was a tremendous help, taking so many things off of my plate so I could focus on other things while she took care of the details. Ericka and Karen did so much for us and were with us every step of the way through a postponement due to covid, our initial venue canceling on us 2 months before the new wedding date, and us almost fully canceling because it felt so hopeless during all of this. Ericka, Karen, and the rest of my vendors were all absolute godsends. I cannot express how grateful I am. Highly recommend them for both catering AND coordination.

Incredible catering service!

I cannot say enough good things about Mai Oui. It was an amazing experience, starting with the very first e-mail, which was answered in record time might I add. Ericka is the most patient, kind, understanding person in the world. I was embarrassed by the amount of questions I had, but she was diligent in answering every one, very thoroughly. She didn't mind the many changes that were made, including the major one of needing to postpone. We worked together to come up with the perfect menu with all of the things I wanted. The tasting was such a lovely event, as well. She made my mother and I (fiancé was abroad at the time) feel SO special and listened to our comments and feedback. On the wedding day, everything was perfectly seamless. Food came out on time, hot, delicious, and with the most GORGEOUS presentation. They seriously crush it with the presentation. The chicken was so juicy, the steak tender, and all of the cocktail items were incredibly tasty. Everyone RAVED about it. To this day, whenever I talk to a wedding guest, they always say the food was delicious. Not a single complaint. They even make sure to have a little sampling for the bride and groom right before the reception entrance AND a basket of leftovers and goodies to go home with. Ericka and the Mai Oui team is outstanding at what they do. They are thoughtful about their food and how their clients will experience it. They are detailed, organized, reliable, friendly, and talented. I strongly recommend them to anyone planning an event. I will always be grateful to Ericka and the Mai Oui team for making my wedding the best ever.

AMAZING food and experience!

I am a destination wedding bride from NY, and I can honestly say choosing Mai Oui and Karen was one of our absolute BEST decisions. Karen was accommodating, creative, kind, and a dream to work with. Not only is she professional, but the food is out of this world. Everyone was blown away by the food stations and the cocktail hour. We wanted something fun and different, and Karen nailed it! Delicious Food, Great Service

Let me say this first ... we love food and love eat so were so pleased with the quality of the food from Mai Oui. Their pricing included all the plates, real glassware, silverware, servers and food. We chose a package that included appetizers (the Mac 'n cheese bar was a guest favorite!) and a plated and served dinner with three entree choices for an exceptional price. Our appetizers included ceviche, shrimp & grits, meatballs, honeyed goat cheese, crabcakes and the mac 'n cheese. The entrees were herb crusted pork, chicken and a vegetable tower. It was all so good! Ericka was a dream to work with, and we recommend them to everyone.

Mai Oui, perfect wedding caterer!

I am the Mother of the Bride and Trust me when I say I do lots of research before committing to something, and very picky! I cannot say enough about "Mai Oui". From the first contact all the way to the end of the wedding, this team was nothing but professional! I loved our initial phone conversations, the emails, tasting day and then the Wedding! Their food and presentation is amazing! Guest raved about the cocktail hour Hors d'oeuvres as well as our plated entrees! Delicious!!! The servers were so sweet and attentive to all needs of guests. Ericka is especially SOOO easy to work with, as I feel like we have a new friend. I would recommend her and Mai Oui for your wedding or up coming event hands down!! There is not a better caterer on the planet

We are SOOOO glad we found Mai Oui Catering. The first caterer we did a tasting with was kind of a horrific experience, so we decided to keep looking. We had our tasting with Mai Oui, and were absolutely blown away. The way the plates were prepared, from aesthetics to taste, were complete perfection. We didn’t ask to change a single thing. We developed a relationship with Ericka, who is just hands down an amazing human, who exudes hospitality and passion for what she does. Ericka is organized, has an amazing attention to detail, and it made us completely calm knowing she was there for us on our wedding day. Part of us expected the food to not be as amazing as it was at our tasting on our wedding day, because they were going from feeding just the 2 of us, to feeding 120 people. We couldn’t have been more wrong. I have had tons of our guests STILL talking about the food, 5 months later. The service staff was so professional, and amazing. They coordinated the tables, stations, pre-bused, and waited on my wife and I perfectly. Our glasses were never empty, our plates full with whatever we desired. They even brought us out appetizers during cocktail hour that we couldn’t attend, due to picture taking. Ericka and Mai Oui literally went above and beyond what we expected, required, or requested. And we both have very high expectations, with us both being in the hospitality industry. This is a 5 star catering team, that we just sincerely feel lucky to have had a part of our day.

Look no further! Mai Oui is everything you need!

Ericka was amazing from start to finish. She made sure the service was flawless at or wedding. Ericka ensured that everything we needed was there. No stress wedding day!

After initial contact and setting up a menu they handled everything after that! The food is amazing! If they had a restaurant we would dine there often, my husband and I always joke about this! We were able to choose items that fit with in our budget. We choose caprese skewers, Mac and cheese bites, deviled eggs and shrimp and grits for starters (omggg 🤤). A salad that was plated at each table and a buffet of chimichurri skirt steak and chicken piccata. The sides were potatoes au gratin and greens beans. Everything was fantastic! The service was great and the staff makes sure everyone was attended to. If you are looking for a caterer with great food and a great price and exceptional service look no further!

Amazing from start to finish

We were unable to do a tasting prior to the wedding and we were crossing our fingers that everything would go smoothly and be delicious. Wonderful food & service

Mai Oui did such a fantastic job during our wedding at the Jacksonville Main Library! From the beginning, the communication with Karen was open and clear and she was an absolute pleasure to work with. There is a charge for the tasting, but it is waived upon booking with them. The food both at the tasting and the actual wedding was wonderful! Staff who passed out appetizers recognized the need to ensure they were offered to guests far away from where they were coming from. During dinner, the staff was very attentive to our needs and the needs of our families. Karen and her staff were also excited to be able to accommodate a custom dessert bar (halo-halo bar, traditional Filipino dessert-- my husband and I provided all the ingredients and Karen even made a mock setup for us to ensure it was exactly how we wanted it. They were able to set it up and execute and it was a huge hit! Overall, we would highly recommend!

My experience with Mai Oui was amazing from start to finish. Having to plan my wedding remotely, in Sydney, Australia, seemed daunting at first but Karen accommodated my calls at times that worked with the time zone difference and put me at ease. She’s incredibly knowledgeable about the menus and what works well for weddings. She also had extensive knowledge of the reception venue, which I hadn’t seen, so I relied heavily on her for set up ideas and table placement. I would highly recommend Mai Oui For any kind of event you need catering for.

Karen and her team were INCREDIBLE! As a catering service, they definitely go above and beyond. Every single thing about their service was top notch and I felt like they had us in mind every step of the way. Also the food was so delicious. My guests told me it was the most unique, but also most tasty wedding food they have ever had. Usually wedding food is bland, maybe dry, regular food that anyone can eat. This felt like a gourmet dinner by the seaside, filled with flavor and distinctive taste. I also loved the bamboo cutlery and plating they provided, eco friendly and really good looking. We were married at The Treasury on the Plaza 12/16/16. Karen was beyond amazing working with our budget to create a menu and finding experience that reflected us as a couple and our favorite foods. Freda was a beyond amazing Day of coordinator- she worked with us consecutively for the first few weeks prior, helping us with every step and making sure all of our vendors were communicated with and accounted for! Freda was a calming and supportive presence for everything, she has such knowledges and understanding and Karen and Freda have such a great rapport with our venue and all vendors! -needless to say it was an amazing creative experience and you are working with talented, knowledgeable, gracious and bride focused people, that truly get pleasure from having your day go perfectly this is not just a job for them it's a lifestyle.

Working with Karen and Mai Oui! was a terrific experience from beginning to end. Karen was so helpful and the menu choices were outstanding - hard to pick (but she helped guide me into some delicious choices). Her attention to detail is amazing, not only was the food delicious, but displayed so beautifully. I got so many comments from my guests on the food and how much they loved it. If you get to choose your own caterer, Mai Oui! is worth it - I couldn't have been happier. She also helped with other details like chairs being set up on the beach and the bartender. We had a take away box at the end and some leftovers to come home and eat after the honeymoon. Thank you Karen and all of your staff!!!

Mai Oui! had great food, especially the appetizers which my guests loved. The fried mac and cheese poppers went so fast and they would not stop talking about them! I also thought the service was great, even though as the bride I was so busy I hardly noticed the servers and somehow everything managed to be where it needed to be and at the right time.

Perfect pour managed our bar and Alicia was incredible with helping us (being patient with us) and delivered an exceptional night of bar service and our signature drink.

In addition to the food, perhaps the most rave worthy part of my night was the superb wedding day coordinating of Karen Bassham and her partner Freda. Karen was so thorough in following up with me, my family, and my vendors. She truly made the wedding come together as I dreamed. She was always so prompt in responding and gave great advice. She was also incredibly organized and thought of and paid attention to details I was oblivious to. But the best part was on the day of the wedding, I did not have to worry about a single thing because I completely trusted Karen and Freda to keep the day and night on track. They truly went above and beyond everything I was expecting from a day of coordinator and I don't have a single negative comment to make. I will refer and praise these ladies to everyone!!!!

I absolutely recommend Mai Oui! Gourmet for all of your catering needs. Karen and team catered my wedding reception at River House and their food and service blew me away. From the beginning the staff at Mai Oui! was very responsive and accommodating. Their menu options were fabulous and tasted amazing! We had some "surprise" last minute options added to the menu and the team was very flexible and happy to meet all of our needs. Karen made sure that my husband and I got a plate of all of our favorite foods and looked after us along with our "day of" event coordinator. The Mac and Cheese food station was something all of our guests kept talking about as well as the ice sculpture that served cocktail shrimp. From the crab cakes, to the coconut shrimp, prime rib, mahi, and everything else....it was all PHENOMENAL and I am SO happy we went with Mai Oui for our catering needs. Karen also ensured that her decor and layout for the food went with what our florist was providing so that everything looked amazing together- it really did. I hope in the near future I have some other exciting event that occurs where I can have Mai Oui! cater. Thanks so much Karen and Mai Oui! Delicious!! Ruth and Karen blew it out of the water. This company is topnotch, Ruth was super responsive and helped me every single step of the way. The food and presentation was impeccable. Mai Oui and Karen did an amazing job for our April wedding. We really wanted our passed appetizers to be inspired by a place my husband and I lived, and Karen could not have been more accommodating!! Mai Oui! Gourmet went above and beyond expectations for our wedding. Not only was Karen an absolute joy to work with, but on the big day, her staff were so friendly and helpful and we got nothing but compliments from the guests about the food and service. My husband and I came into her office without a clue in the world of what kind of food we wanted but she helped us craft a unique menu that infused the Indian, Japanese, and American cultures of our families and the food was nothing short of amazing. Karen was so attentive to our needs and she even helped me with some day-of coordination! She made sure the bride and groom had their food first, their glasses were never empty, and she stuck to the timeline of the night while keeping a smile on her face the entire time. Her staff did a great job with set up and clean up...and even took a photo in our photobooth and signed our photo-guest book which I LOVED! 5 stars all around for this catering company!!!

Mai Oui Catering was a wonderful experience. Their food was delicious and I have been told a number of times that the food was the best ever!! What I loved was working with Karen! She is creative, responsive and paid attention to every detail . For the mother of the bride, this was invaluable. Her price was very competitive, but she enhanced the delivery of her services with the number of servers, the delicious quality of her menu, the smooth operation of the entire evening. It can only be described as priceless!! Thank you Karen and Mai Oui Catering for being such a wonderful partner on what was one of the biggest event in my life.

We used Mai Oui! for our wedding in November on Amelia Island and we could not have been happier! From the first phone call with Karen, I knew we were going to be in good hands. She immediately asked about our favorite foods and created a wedding reception menu that was exactly what we were hoping for. Throughout the planning process, Karen was extremely responsive and a genuine pleasure to work with. Our guests could not stop raving about the food - we went with shrimp and grits, grilled cheese bar, antipasto and late night sliders. Karen was very professional yet caring and great with suggestions. We found her services were spot on and I have no complaints as a matter of fact I would not only use her again but recommend her to anyone who is in need of a caterer. All of her staff were very nice and accommodating. She has been in business for years and trust me in this day and age if she were not good at what she does then she would not have a good reputation. Karen and her staff were amazing beyond words!!!!! Karen has this warm demeanor that makes her so easy to work with and that sets your nerves at ease! The service was impeccable but the food was EVEN BETTER! All of our friends and family are still talking about how wonderful our wedding was and how incredible the food was! Mai Oui and Karen were outstanding for our wedding in June. Karen is the epitome of a professional and exceeded all our expectations. Everyone is still talking about the food over a month after the wedding! They made sure we ate too and gave us a great snack basket for the hotel. We had a change of plans the day before due to humidity and chance of rain we moved things inside our venue and the staff and Karen were great adjusting to the change. I fell in love with Mai Oui the first time we met Karen and I highly recommend her and Mai Oui!

We had so many wonderful comments about our food from friends and family! The service was excellent!! We were so lucky to have Karen and her excellent staff working with us throughout the wedding planning process. From day one, Karen made my husband and I feel so special, like we were her only clients. After doing an initial consultation, we ended up changing a lot of what we initially had picked. Karen was so easy to work with over the phone and via email, she had no problems working with us to change the menu until we got exactly what we wanted. This was really important to us as my husband and I were both living in different states, not even close to Florida..where we were getting married. Karen took care of everything for us- she even encouraged a last minute switch from the late night "chicken and waffle" to the "flaming donuts"...YUM! The food was amazing and the presentation so unique and beautiful. Everything from the food presentation to the linens to the lemons in our water glass blended so well with the entire theme and feel of our wedding.

Karen also handled contracting out the bar staff, "Catered Cocktails". We provided the alcohol suggested by them, and they provided the stem wear and mixers (even the raspberries for the champagne!) These were actual bartenders who knew how to bartend- they were excellent! It was no problem to last minute add staff holding trays of champagne & wine greeting guests as they arrived.

The entire evening went by way too fast, but Karen's staff made sure to take care of us, making certain we tried each appetizer and making us plates of food first and delivering them to us.

Overall, we cannot sing enough praises to Mai Oui Gourmet. No doubt if we ever need a caterer in the northern Florida area, we will be using Karen and her team! THANK YOU!

Karen and her team are awesome!!!! The first time I met with Karen I had no idea what I wanted. She came up with a menu that only needed minor adjusting. She is very responsive and knowledgeable of the wedding industry. We had a great time at our tasting. Table was set beautifully and they even served wine which my husband spilled all over the place. At the final walk through Karen and two day of team members make sure the bride knows how things will flow and make adjustments as needed. They let you know if what you are asking is realistic and stand up for the brides vision. At our wedding the food was delicious and Karen did a great job of making sure we ate our food and always had a drink in our hand. They really take care of their customers. Our guest still talk about how tasty the food was. The only problem I heard about after the wedding was food for vendors. This could have been because our number changed a week before the wedding and had more guest than anticipated. Since our wedding, we have used Mai Oui for a corporate event and once again they did not disappoint. Food and service were perfect.

Mai Oui! Gourmet was incredible from the first time I talked to Karen through to our wedding reception. They took the time to get to know us and to know what was important to us. Mai Oui! Gourmet was flexible and helped us pick the perfect menu, despite how picky we are. Karen came and looked at our venue the day before and made changes in order to accommodate the venue and make it a better experience for our guest. On the day of our wedding Mai Oui! Gourmet staff were nothing but professional and the food was excellent. Everything was fresh and beautiful. Karen also made sure my husband never had an empty drink:). Our guests even commented how great and friendly the caterer was. I would highly recommend Mai Oui! Gourmet!

I really want to extend a big THANK YOU to Karen and her team at Mai Oui. I had a huge wedding last weekend in St. Augustine, and Mai Oui came through without a hitch. Karen was extremely easy to work with and accomidated my requests the entire time planning. She helped execute my vision of "tapas" style food. It was such a great success....whatever I asked of Karen she said yes. I wanted a HUGE paella and the chef did it with an amazing presentation. The other tapas included chicken and waffles, beef brisket and roasted corn, and creamy palenta with roasted veggies. On top of that we had amazing passed hors d'oeuvres during the cocktail hour. The entire night I got so many compliments on how delicious and unique all of the food was. Thank you Mai Oui team!!! Beautiful presentation, delicious food, and hard working staff....couldnt ask for anything more!!

Mai Oui made wedding planing and the wedding day so much less stressful! Karen is an amazing lady and loves what she does, she takes pride in her work and it shows! I had so many compliments about the food at my wedding! They went above and beyond what I would consider traditional catering duties for my wedding. Karen was there for the walk through before the wedding coordinating the evening with the other venders I hired, took so much stress off of my shoulders because I knew everyone would be on the same page during the wedding. Mai Oui may seem a little more expensive than some other catering companies but you pay for what you get! I would use Mai Oui again in a heartbeat and would recommend them to anyone who wants delicious food served in style!!

Amazing Food! My husband and I are still getting compliments on our food at our wedding...thanks to Mai Oui! Karen is so easy to work with and she is so sweet and not to mention organized! The thing I loved about Mai Oui, besides the food of course, is that they use the theme of your wedding or event and incorporate it into their food displays. She is not just about the food (although you can tell it is their first priority) but also the presentation. Karen and her team (Lindy) were great to work with. The food was customized to the desires of the bride and groom. Karen listened with an open heart as to what we all wanted and adjusted the quantity and menu to fit our budget. Her staff, including Catered Cocktails, was completely professional and without their level of experience and assistance, I'm not sure it would've run as smoothly, as the venue itself was lacking in all of the above. We totally relied on Karen and it was seamless.

I researched a lot of catering companies on-line but Mai Oui was the first and only Caterer that I met with in person. We really hit it off and I loved their menu selection so I saw no reason to look any further. Traditionally you book a caterer first and then set up a tasting but my fiancé at the time would not allow me to book Mai Oui (or any other caterer for that matter) until he got to taste their food. Mai Oui was very flexible and had no hesitation in accommodating us. We chose to do a cocktail reception featuring heavy hors d'oeuvers and we liked everything we tasted. I started my wedding planning about a year and a half out so I had the caterer booked very early on. I was fortunate enough to be able to hire Mai Oui for my company's holiday party so that I didn't have to wait an entire year to eat their yummy food! Five months before my wedding date we found out that we were going to have to book a new venue (our original venue had permitting issues and was going to be closing well before our booked date). The owner of Mai Oui, Karen, was one of the first people to reach out to me to see how I was holding up after hearing the news and offered to give me suggestions for a new venue. Karen was even willing to give my deposit back if I could not find a new venue that would allow me use an outside caterer (because she knew we had already lost our deposit with our original venue). I worked very hard to find a venue that would allow me to keep Mai Oui and I eventually did! My new venue had never hosted a wedding so Mai Oui came with me to do a walk-through of the space. I felt like I was sharing something with friends; it made me happy to see that they liked the new venue as much as I did. On my wedding day, they arrived right on time, their team was very professional and the food was delicious. My only regret is that I did not get to taste everything. Mai Oui was everything I wanted in catering company and I owe them many thanks for going above and beyond.

If there were two things we did correct for my wedding it was the photographer and the caterer. Mai Oui was OUTSTANDING. The food was totally amazing, they met with me as many times and I wanted and did countless proposals until it was exactly what I wanted! They were absolutely perfect!

When we started planning our wedding, my husband and I both agreed that the caterer would be our most important vendor. From the moment we sat down with Mai Oui, we knew we had found an incredible caterer. We worked with Karen to create the most incredible menu. Mai Oui even stayed late at our wedding to bring out delicious duck fat french friends and other fried goodies for a late-night snack. Everyone who mentioned the food said it was by far the best wedding food that they ever had.

I'm sure there are other good caterers out there but there are some things that set Mai Oui apart. From the beginning, Karen made us feel like we were the only people whose event they were catering. Throughout the entire planning process, Karen and her team went above and beyond for us. They created custom food items, they had appetizers and drinks waiting for us after the ceremony, Karen personally brought us our food at the reception and made sure we had time to eat. Karen attended our walk-through at the venue and I felt like she was actively involved in the planning process without being intrusive in any way. After getting to know Karen and the rest of the team at Mai Oui, I never worried about the food again. Having one less thing to worry about was worth more than I can say.

If you want to be confident that you and your guests are in good hands, you should hire Mai Oui for your wedding.

Holy geez! they went above and beyond. my original venue at PVG was canceled and they were in constant contact w/ us to see what other categories they could help with. The menu was reasonably priced and creative. The food tasted amazing. Dont forget to ask about their desserts. Thank you Chrissy and Karen! I especially love the photo that Chrissy surprised me with. She took it right before my dad and i walked down the aisle. It was a very precious moment that i am so happy i will have forever.

My husband and I could not be more pleased with the catering Mai Oui provided for our wedding. We chose a venue that did not have a kitchen and was much more challenging for a caterer serving dinner to 200 people but they seemed to do it without any problems. Karen was a pleasure to work with and was very accommodating. We received many compliments on the food and even had guests notice how beautiful they decorated their tables to match our decor. Mai Oui provided great service in a unique and challenging venue on the day of the wedding!! We got plenty of compliments on the food from the wedding! (Unfortunately I really didn't get to eat much but what I had was awesome!!) They also provided much more than catering by helping with planning, tables, chairs, linens, centerpieces, bar service, ceremony decor, etc. We had several visits to make sure everything went smoothly. My husband and I just absolutely loved everything about Mai Oui. They were extremely flexible and open to our suggestions when it came to changing some things about the food we picked out to better suit our (and the majority of the guests') liking. They stuck to our budget and always asked us if it was if it was okay before any changes were made to the menu and to the amount of food needed. Karen and her team at Mai Oui! catered my October 1st wedding and we couldn't have been more satisfied. We wanted to have good food that people enjoyed and Mai Oui! delivered. It was great to hear guests talk about the food even several weeks after the wedding. Karen is personable and fun to work with. I highly recommend them. You won't be disappointed.

Our best vendor!!! From our first meeting with the Mai Oui team up until the wedding day, Karen, Jeff, and the gang have bent over backwards for us to ensure that our wedding was everything we hoped it would be. And it was thanks to them! It was slightly difficult to choose a menu, because their menu choices were so vast and flexible for all budgets and tastes! But they helped us focus to choose a menu that would satisfy us and all of our guests with the special food preferences everyone had. They even helped us plan aspects of the wedding that were not related to the catering – they ensured that their services would complement the entire event. And Mai Oui provides their own florals and décor for the food & beverage stations. Everything was fantastic and they worked closely with me to ensure that their décor would complement the other florals and décor provided by the florist. Finally, the catering staff at the event was extraordinary! Very professional! I would highly recommend Mai Oui Gourmet to anyone that is planning a wedding. And I will definitely be using them for any other event that I may have in the future! Thanks, guys!

Mai Oui is a brilliant catering service. The food is amazing! We had so many compliments on how wonderful the food was and how beautifully it was done. The tuna is still being talked about a month after the wedding. If you want flavor explosion, aesthetically pleasing food, and top rate service this is who you have to use. They really stood our from other caterers with their creative and unique style. Thank you so much for being a part of our day!

Mai Oui was amazing! The food was really good but what really put them over the top was the amazing service. They feel so invested in making sure that your wedding is everything you want it to be. The whole staff is kind and reassuring and they have wonderful little touches that make you feel like they are family taking care of you. Use hem for your wedding and you will be very happy with that decision! (Plus there prices are incredibly reasonable)

Karen did more than provide a service the night of the wedding. She checked on me to see if I was alright. It was an out of town night wedding for us and she took care of small details we did not discuss. The food was delicious and her staff during the reception was excellent. The young adult servers were professional and discreet. In the planning stage I asked for her opinion and she always gave it but stressed she would do what we requested.

Mai Oui was the talk of the night. Everyone loved the food and unique options that were offered. Even the kids loved the lamb burgers (as long a we didn't tell them it was lamb!). Their flexibilty was fantastic as specifics changed through the months of planning. I never felt like a burden or that I couldn't ask questions, which gave them big bonus points from my perspective. I truly appreciated all their help and attention to detail. They came recommended to me and I would recommend them again and again. Thank you!!

When my daughter got engaged, we knew Mai Oui Gourmet was the only caterer we wanted. My daughter would have changed her wedding date to ensure we Had Karen taking care of everthing. In fact she's the first person we called. She handled everything...perfectly. And the food was amazing.

Mai Oui! gourment went above and beyond for our wedding March 5th, 2011! They were very professional at everything they did! I loved all their big and little ideas and they really made our dream fit into our budget! I couldn't have expected anything more! They were amazing!

Using Mai Oui! Gourmet was the best decision we made! Karen and Nikki were absolutely amazing and I can't imagine what we would've done without them!! The menu and decor they planned was above and beyond anything expected; they truly captured our theme and brought it to life. The menu was well thought out...perfect, actually...and the food was absolutely phenominal. Presentation was top-notch and one of our favorite aspects of Mai Oui. Throughout our day, we had several guests comment on both the food and the courtesy/professionalism of the staff. Our guests were just as impressed as we were. Karen was tremendously helpful with planning the layout of the reception. Mai Oui! Gourmet also took care of our rentals and the bar service for a hassle-free and wonderful day. Their suggestions were amazing and I think we used them all! Karen and Nikki were very responsive with all our last minute questions and concerns and kept us updated throughout the planning process. We were truly amazed and grateful for everything they did for us and HIGHLY recommend them for any and all catering needs.

If you are lucky enough to have Karen and Pat cater your wedding or any affair, then you can rest assured that it will be perfect. Mai Oui thinks of every detail that you won't think of, then they go into action. I have spent the last 12 months working with both of these incredible women. They are very classy and create an incredible atmosphere. The presentation of every morsel of food was beyond my every expectation. There is no NY caterer that I know of that could have done a better job then my two favorite Jacksonville ladies. You should feel free to allow them to create a menu that will certainly please everyones palette. All of our friends and family are still talking about the food that they were so happily eating at our daughters wedding on 10/10/10. Thank you sooooo much, Karen and Pat. We would not have been able to do it without your expertise.

FANTASTIC!!!! The best decision we made in our wedding planning was working with Mai Oui. The food was incredible, looked good, and her staff was awesome! What to say about Mai Oui! Gourmet?........They are AMAZING!! Karen played such a vital role in making our day so special, she even stepped in as "wedding coordinator" when needed at the reception. I cannot say enough about Mai Oui! We had our reception in my sister's backyard. The food was amazing! Karen and her staff went above and beyond on everything. Even though drink service was not part of our agreement, I saw the Mai Oui staff serving drinks to several of our guests. When they left, the kitchen was spotless and the trash had all been hauled out to the trash bins beside the garage.
Karen was full of great ideas and extremely accommodating. We had a Renaissance themed wedding. When I told her that we did not want to provide silverware for our guests because we wanted them to eat with their hands, she didn't bat an eye. Instead, she made sure we planned to provide wet naps for our guests to use both before and after eating, and that there were plenty of extra napkins available.
We originally were not going to have a caterer, but my parents convinced me that it would be too stressful any other way. Mai Oui was fabulous; I didn't have to worry about a thing. Their prices were reasonable—cheap if you consider all the extras they provided. If I ever need a caterer again, Mai Oui will be my first call.

Karen at Mai Oiu Gourmet is absolutely amazing! She is intelligent, attentive, responsive, punctual and a perfectionist. She listens to you and creates something that fits you and your vision perfectly. She was the backbone to our wedding and reception. I could not have done it without her. I would hire her just based on this not to mention the food. It was delicious!!! She is able to cater to any budget and to make it look beautiful. The food really is as good as it looks. We had a large rehearsal dinner and the feedback/comments from our guests were fantastic. The presentation of food was stunning. All of our guest were commenting on the beautiful presentation and the exquisite taste of the food. Mai Oui provided exceptional service and phenomenal food! I was genuinely concerned for the usual comments you hear from guests about their wedding meal quality. After experiencing our tasting, we were beyond convinced that Mai Oui was the caterer for our wedding. We could truly taste the heart and soul that the chef put into his work. Not only was the food amazing, but the table and buffet scape set up was beautiful. We made the choice to have a buffet for our guests to eat from. The presentation looked nothing like your usual buffet set up. Karen provided flowers for decoration similar to the ones we ordered through our florists. Overall, it was a great night with a wonderful meal and I couldn't have been happier! We received many compliments from our guests about the deliciousness of their meal. Needless to say, my husband and I were very happy with our caterer selection.

Food was very important to me and with over 200 guests, I wanted to make sure everyone was satisfied. Mai Oui! did just that and their service was excellent. They catered and provided bar services for my March wedding. The food was delicious, the décor was amazingly beautiful, and Karen was very easy to work with! She was knowledgeable and provided great suggestions! Karen worked closely with me and was flexible to trying new things (i.e. chocolate caramel macaroons).

Mai Qui! Impressed us from start to finish... Karen and her team went the extra mile to make us feel special on a very important day (and all of the days and weeks leading up to it)! Our guests raved about the food, the displays for our station(s) were great and when we were munching on food at 2am after the day was over, we were thanking our lucky stars that we had selected them.

We are so glad that we went with Mai Oui for our catering! Everyone raved about the food the whole evening. And not only was the food good, but they went above and beyond to make the buffet setup look wonderfully decorated. Karen was so helpful throughout the whole planning process and even worked directly with my Day-of Coordinator so that I didn't have to be in the middle of things. And I can't leave out the wonderful staff that attended the wedding! We had a Polaroid Guestbook and they took the cutest photo and left us a wonderful message. Overall, I would say well worth the money. The only thing we ran into was that the original quote they gave us ended up being quite a bit below what we ended up paying - and we didn't change much. The reason for the stark increase was that the quote of the linen rental they gave us was well below what it ended up costing. So again, well worth the money but just be careful if you have a tight budget like we did.

Mai Oui! gourmet is fantastic! They are so flexible, accommodating, and professional. The food is absolutely delicious. They definitely know what they're doing! They will do whatever they need to to fit your budget and still have great food, and they take care of everything the day of. I didn't have to worry about anything. The only issue that I heard at the reception was a difficulty getting drinks and things from the waiters. They would leave to get what the guest was asking for, and then never come back or forget to get what the guest asked for. However, this may vary depending on how many servers you have the day of. Overall, they are a great company, and I would recommend them to anyone!

Food was one of the most important aspects to us for our wedding. We deem ourselves foodies. Right off the bat we kicked it off with Karen at Mai Oui. Karen embraced our idea of having common foods with a twist. Even weeks leading up to the wedding we kept in close contact with Karen. She even allowed us another tasting when we decided to change one of our entrees. We rented all our linens through Mai Oui and Karen allowed us to bring our homemade centerpieces over to do a mock up on linens before we committed. It\'s been a month since our wedding and people are still talking about how they loved and are craving Mai Oui\'s shrimp and grits. Guest equally raved about the chicken and waffles late night snack we had. Chrissy also did a great job in assuring everything was running smooth on the day of. The servers that night were very attentive. I definitely got to eat on my wedding day, hubby had seconds, and enjoyed every bit of it. There was only one glitch that happened with one of our entrees, but within days after our wedding the situation was rectified. As George Bernard Shaw said “Success does not consist in never making mistakes but in never making the same one a second time.” I would highly recommend Mai Oui Gourmet Catering the food and service were phenomenal. I would defiantly book them again.

Mai Oui Gourmet is an amazing caterer and was a wonderful choice for our wedding! They are very detail oriented which really helped with a bride like myself who is a bit type A, but didn't had a day of coordinator. They volunteered to help with a lot of the smaller details, which was so nice.

We were going to do a seating chart instead of place cards and while they had agreed that would be fine, the week of the wedding they called and asked us to reconsider place cards. Based on their reasons - issues at a reception that weekend, I did reconsider because they offered to make the place cares, which they did. I'm not sure if it worked out better that way, but better safe than sorry.

The one complaint I had was that when the toasts began, they asked if we had champagne. Well we'd exchanged emails about the champagne and I was told they'd order the glasses. Apparently that wasn't done, so while it worked out and they put the glasses out as soon as they were finished serving salads, it threw our timeline off and we didn't have the time we'd thought to go around to each table. My parents also commented that since the food wasn't covered when it was brought out, it wasn't necessarily hot, but rather warm - fine for me, but not for some.

All in all, I would highly recommend Mai Oui and definitely use them again based on the appetizers everyone raved about and the delicious entrees. The value was incredible and they really worked with our budget to get some delicious food within our budget limits.

Overall they were great. I do however think the food during tasting was much better than what was served at our wedding. I'm guessing the quality decreased with mass production. The vegetables were not cooked the same way as they were when we taste tested it. But they were by far the best food vendors out of everything we tried in the area. The people are very nice and professional.

Karen and her crew do an amazing job with presentation and quality of the food. We had so many people state how great the food was, and many went back for second helpings. There was never a time that we thought we were going to run out of food. Karen is able to provide the client with anything needed, linens, bar service, pastries, etc.

I will give you my honest review. My wedding was on 10/23. I will say, the FOOD was the most important thing to me for our special day. I spent so much money into this and I did my research for catering companies around Jacksonville. From day 1, Mai Oui felt like the right choice, they were very nice, they listened to my wants and Freda was amazingly helpful. Great to work with. I seriously felt like my day would go perfect having them as my caterer. WRONG. I was told all tables would be set with the plates, napkins. I was told the guests would be offered food by having the staff walk to them with the food. I was told the food i paid for would be enough for 55 guests. I even increased the main dish (chicken and waffles) to ensure we have enough food. Well, the day comes, and when i arrive to reception, i see no plates in the tables,(i was told to hand over the plates knives and forks i bought to caterer once they are prepping the venue, which we did) i see guests standing at the bar area asking for food not sure, but my sweetheart table had no plates, nothing. We sit down, and we were not offered food until like more than 5 minutes after. One of my guests came over to my table to hug me and she noticed i had no food, i told her i was waiting to be served, she was livid. She complained to staff and they brought me food. One of the plates was a plain waffle, because apparently they had run out of chicken. Yes, i never got to eat chicken and waffles. I was so disappointed. The rest of the food was great, but service was terrible. Some of my guests left hungry, and even told me day after wedding that the staff skipped their table and only served them once. I had a friend that ate 5 times of the same food, and others only ate once. I was told each guest had 3 servings per menu items to ensure they get to all eat, well that wasnt the case. By 1PM half of my guest had left because they had to go eat. I am mad, of course, because i made myself very clear before booking the
