Best DJ you’ll ever meet!

Terry was so helpful, our guest loved the music and his personality. He was very thorough on our two week call and very nice! The playlist turned out amazing, he was great at keeping us on schedule and kept the guest entertained. We are so happy with how it turned out, our guest are still talking about how much fun they had! Thanks Terry!

Wedding experience

Magic Entertainment was phenomenal!!! We were able to get a package price by getting the photo booth, dance floor lights, ceremony, and DJ experience. Terry was very professional and took the time to meet with us before signing to answer any of our question and also was available through email with any and all questions. Terry took the time to meet with us right before the wedding to go over the last minute details, the ceremony, and first dance songs. He then sent us the overall wedding day plan to confirm before the big day.

Terry Rules

Terry knocked it out of the park as a DJ, MC, and doing AV for our wedding ceremony. He kept the dancefloor packed and moving with the right crowd pleasers, but also made sure to weave in some really special songs for us the bride and groom too. He was super responsive leading up to the wedding and made sure to work closely with us on our vision for the wedding. Would highly recommend.

Would hire them again!

Terry's ability to entertain and also direct people helped our wedding be fun and run smoothly. He worked well with all the vendors and coordinator. He incorporated our music selection very well. He was also very flexible to change.

Also, the personnel working the photo booth was amazing and very friendly. Made taking the pictures twice as fun.

We will definitely recommend Magic Entertainment.

Super Fun DJ/MC!

We used DJ Terry for audio at our ceremony and DJ/MC at our reception.

DJ Terry was great to work with! Super responsive, experienced, and on top of everything. It was easy to give him all of the input that he needed to do a great job. He did a great job MCing our reception, and made the night flow easily. He did a great job DJing the reception as well. Played great music, and really responded to what the crowd was liking. Super fun party!

His AI powered Photo Booth might have been the hit of the night too! Everyone had a ton of fun with it and we heard from lots of our guests who really loved it. Best Photo Booth we've ever seen.

Put the Magic in our Reception!!

We used Magic Entertainment for our Ceremony, Reception and added the light production and Photobooth. Everything was fantastic!! Terry is an expert MC and is outstanding at reading the crowd and creating energy at just the right moments! I highly recommend his light production products. The venue we selected did not allow for the "fog" service much to my dismay, but the light production was amazing! The pictures we have are magical! Terry goes the extra mile with the video display to add the wow factor to the DJ booth. The photo booth was also a HUGE hit with our guests! My only regret was having to choose between the dance floor and the photo booth! I cannot say enough positive things about Terry's services. He is extremely patient and follows up with you, especially when he knows you are a swamped bride trying to keep your personal life and party planning life afloat! He knows all the right questions to ask to make sure you've got every moment covered including a "cake cutting song"! Who knew I needed that!? DJ services were reasonably priced and worth every dollar!!

Our DJ (Terry) nailed it! Ceremony AND Reception!

Our initial contact with Magic Entertainment was a bit late for our Wedding Day so Terry stepped up and walked us through the process while helping us secure our date as well. Our conference call made us feel very at ease hearing his experience just in the voice alone. The day of, he saved it a few times! Including last minute song changes! His experience made light of our mis-steps, and it was AMAZING! Our friends did not stop asking about our "Cool MC" that kept my Great Aunt dancing and my young Niece on the dance floor as well! It made our hearts so happy that we had him on our side and will not hesitate to recommend him for any event, ever!!

Greatest decision of my life going with them!

From the very beginning Terry was extremely helpful, I was a little nervous using a DJ I had never met before but am SO GLAD we went with Terry! From the planning to the big day he was helpful, professional and so kind. Our big day was so special because of the hard work from magic entertainment. Terry was a easy going, EXTREMELY funny and sweet guy and fit in with our group seamlessly. His wife was also so fun at the photobooth! It really shows that he goes above and beyond for his clients and takes the time to make sure that nothing goes wrong on the big day, which we all know CAN happen. If you are debating between this and any other DJ/Photobooth PICK THIS ONE!!!

Magic Entertainment

We worked with Magic Entertainment for our DJ at our wedding. Getting a DJ was a more last minute decision for us, and working with Terry made things so easy! He was accommodating and helped us figure out what was best for us. We only needed a DJ for the reception so we were able to figure out the timeline with Terry’s help. Our DJ was Andy Bently and he was so great! We met with him prior to go over important songs and entrances. Day of Andy was timely and very helpful with everything! He played music throughout the reception and then afterwards for dancing. Andy was so fun and played music from a playlist I provided as well as his own choices based on the mood. He also had colorful lights set up which we and our guests loved. Overall, working with Andy and Magic Entertainment was amazing and we highly recommend them!

Fantastic!

Magic Entertainment was absolutely fantastic.
They were kind, responsive, and very professional.
Terry helped me figure out lighting recommendations based off of the venue and the feel we wanted for our wedding. He was very understanding and flexible when I changed things around. And was a great DJ; he kept everyone dancing and having a great time. After the wedding, everyone told me how much fun it was and how it was one of the best weddings they had gone to, and I owe that to Terry and his fantastic DJ’ing/ MC skills.
I am very glad to have chosen Magic Entertainment for our wedding and I 100% recommend booking them for your wedding or any other event!

Perfect Wedding DJs!

We used Magic Entertainment to DJ our wedding and would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a DJ for any event!

For our ceremony, we had live music so they just provided mics to amplify us and our officiant's voices. The sound worked flawlessly for the ceremony, and all of our guests were able to hear everything, even those in the back row.

For our reception, we had DJ Andy. He provided us with uplighting which really livened up our reception venue, especially once we got to the dancing and turned off all the other lights in the room. Andy handled everything during the night, from our grand entrance/first dance, to calling tables for the buffet, to the music during the dancing portion of our reception. We gave Andy some songs so he could get a sense of our taste in music, and he filled in the blanks from there. We got so many compliments about the music selections during our reception, and there were people dancing from every age group all night long (even people that don't typically dance)!

Andy did a great job keeping the energy up in the room throughout the night. We were very happy with our DJ choice of Magic Entertainment for our wedding from the minute we booked them (working with Terry) to the end of the night (with Andy).

Best DJ ever!

We found Terry (Magic Entertainment) through a friend’s wedding and from the moment we reached out, he was friendly, communicative, professional and knowledgeable. Terry set up a zoom call with us to get to know each other and plan our needs for our wedding which was really helpful as I didn’t have previous experience booking a DJ. He was quick to respond to all my follow up emails and continued great communication throughout our event. He was a great emcee to announce us and all of our bridal party, was attentive for speeches and kept the dance floor packed! Everyone commented on how great the music was and were tired from dancing. We didn't have to worry about sound and music at all during our wedding!

Terry and DJ Magic Entertainment made this day so easy for us. We had met on a zoom call to go over the whole day, what music did we want played when, who would way what and when, what music did we want to start with, end with, all that. Prior to cocktail hour, we didn't have a chance to even say hi to Terry, and the ceremony went off without a hitch. He was even able to accommodate mixing a special dance song for us. Terry was a great MC, quick, funny, and entertaining. We didn't have to worry about the sound setup, or music at all for our wedding date. Highly recommended if you want a professional, no-fuss DJ for your event.

Amazing Service Through and Through on our Best Day Ever!!

Came across Magic Entertainment through preferred vender list from our wedding venue. We worked with Terry initially and was introduced to Brandon and Cheri for the Wedding Day execution.

Our package included ceremony and reception audio, plus Brandon's incredible DJ/MC skill that guided our full agenda smoothly. We also added the photo booth package, and we particularly loved the Boomerang. Dance floor wash lights and sparklers were a nice touch especially at our outdoor wedding venue. Many guests were impressed of the set up and vibe Magic Entertainment created and we can't wait to see our wedding photos!

The music play list builder was fun to work with and Brandon ensured to play all of our requested songs. He went above and beyond to coordinate with our photographers to ensure our ceremony, reception entrance, first dance and send off are all captured as planned.

Brandon was friendly and approachable. He felt like a friend at our wedding rather than a vender. We appreciate how he followed our agenda thoroughly and helped our guests feel comfortable and well informed throughout our 6 hour wedding festivities.

Want to have an amazing time? Hire DJ Magic Entertainment!

We are so glad our wedding coordinator (Kirin White of TLC Events) directed us to Terry Newberry of DJ Magic Entertainment! The music and MCing was absolutely amazing. Terry was a joy to have around and super easy to work with. He worked with us to figure out what playlist we wanted for the day and played fantastic music the whole time. The audio quality was excellent.
Everything from ceremony music, to microphones, to speeches, to the first dances went incredibly smooth. Our guests were dancing all night and my husband and I (who are normally awkward dancers) had a BLAST out on the dance floor.
We also did a photo booth package with them and that was SO worth it. I'm so glad to have those memories! The attendant was so sweet and made everything so easy. I would highly recommend this company to anybody looking for a DJ, MC, photo booth, and great time!

Terry - Great Emcee & DJ

Thank you to Terry at Magic Entertainment for helping us with all of our audio, emceeing, and DJing needs! He was super friendly, professional, and experienced from the start so we knew we had made the right decision. Our friend was our officiant and lived out of state so was unable to make it to the rehearsal and so when she arrived to our wedding the day of, Terry guided her through how the ceremony would go and she later shared with us that he put her at ease (she was so nervous!) and made her feel so much more informed about what she should know/do as the officiant! The ceremony went perfectly and leading into the reception - Terry was a great emcee and we did not have to worry about him being able to manage our 320 guests. Loved our wedding with Brandon!

We had a great experience working with Brandon! We found Magic Entertainment through our wedding planner, and they lived up to the hype! They were communicative and clear, asking us our preferences on setup, song choices, day of timeline and more to be as prepared as possible for the big day. Brandon and his music and lighting really got the crowd excited to start the reception and kept the party moving along on time. He was courteous to guests, was professional throughout, and his family helped run an amazing photo booth for our guests as well! If we ever had another big event we'd hire them again for sure. Terry and his team were AMAZING! We had the pleasure of having Terry as our DJ/Emcee at our 9/17 wedding and he was professional, personable, genuine and just AWESOME! High energy, fun DJ & convenient photobooth option!

We went with Magic Entertainment for our wedding because we loved how convenient the built-in photobooth package was and how highly others spoke of their DJs, and we weren't disappointed! Our guests loved how high energy our DJ was and how he could read the room and play songs that got everyone on the dance floor. Andy with Magic Ent was the perfect choice!

We went with Magic as they have experience and great service. We had Andy come out to Sonoma County for our wedding at the lovely BR Cohn. He was on time, super pleasant to work with, organized with notes from our meeting (special requests, names, etc.), and was very resposive to any requests or changes. The bride wanted specific parts of songs played at specific times during the walk and it was executed flawlessly.

We let Andy know the types of genres we like and let him work his magic- the dance floor was full from start to finish! He put together a great show for our big event and you can tell he just loves his job. Positive aura, handled guests very well with direction, awesome all around.

Also, he had really cool lights and the sound system was super clear- top of the line equipment (which we learned a little about through their excitment about it in our meeting haha). The microphones worked extremely well!

All our guests came up to us with DJ compliments!

Great to work with!

Great experience working with Terry & Brandon. They were very friendly, professional, and easy to work with, and Brandon ran everything day of super smoothly, checking in with us when needed and otherwise just taking care of business right on schedule. Every aspect where we said "we trust you to just pick something here" was perfect, and made our lives easier as we could let go of some of the details and go with the flow. Music for the dance floor was perfectly calibrated for our crowd and got people up on their feet having fun. They also provided our uplights & cold sparks, which were great add-ons. Would definitely recommend them for your wedding!

Friendly, Responsive, and Absolutely Fantastic!

Magic Entertainment came highly recommended from our venue so we reach out and immediately received a response from Terry. Terry answered all of our questions and even met with us on zoom a couple of times during the planning process. Magic Entertainment even has an awesome website and service that allowed us to add songs to different playlists if we chose to do so. Two weeks before the wedding we met with Terry to finalize our timeline, announcements, songs, etc. and he made it so easy for us. We added a few songs that our guests requested on their RSVP cards and let Terry know what genres we liked and left the rest up to him.

At our reception, we had no issues at all! Terry was familiar with the venue and the event staff which was extremely helpful We added uplighting to our package and Terry had it all set up prior to our guests arriving. After cocktail hour, Terry organized our bridal party for introductions (which was a huge task because we had a LARGE bridal party of 30 people), he played all of the right songs and got everyone's names and roles correctly. He again kept us on track with the toasts, specialty dances, cake cutting, garter/bouquet tosses, and our fake send-off. Terry had our guests and me on the dance floor all night which is exactly what I wanted. Terry is outgoing, professional, and is a natural at what he does and we'd highly recommend him and Magic Entertainment!

Awesome dj

Great DJ & Photobooth

We worked with both Terry and Brandon and they were AWESOME! They were quick to respond and flexible when we decided to add on a photobooth just weeks before the wedding. Brandon was our DJ for our big day and was great with the timing of songs and made our wedding party roast a wedding to remember for our guests! Beyond amazing!

Terry was without a doubt the best choice we made for our wedding as our DJ. He was beyond easy to work with, had so much charisma and really knows what he is doing. Wonderful experience!

From the moment we spoke with Brandon and Terry through zoom, we knew we found our DJ! They were so organized, fun, experienced and professional!
Brandon was an absolute joy to work with— he made the song selection process easy and seamless. We added our favorite songs to their website and filled out a thoughtful and detailed questionnaire that Brandon provided. We met several times through zoom before the wedding to ensure that everything went smoothly. Brandon is not only a talented dj but also a skilled emcee. He worked closely with our family friend to incorporate Ukrainian traditions and games and everyone had a blast! Thank you, so much Brandon!

They are amazing!

We booked magic Entertainment for our DJ/Emcee along with their photobooth and they were all absolutely wonderful. We had to reschedule due to the pandemic and everyone involved was extremely understanding and professional. My guests LOVED all the music chosen and the photobooth was a huge hit.

The planning process leading up to the day was thorough as far as picking out which songs to play for what times and creating the timeline. The tools on their website helped us pick from popular songs and they personally helped me find the ones (or parts of ones) that we wanted played at specific times. They arrived earlier than planned to set everything up, and partnered with our officiant for mic checks and timing on elements of the ceremony.

As far as emcee'ing went all my guests raved about how fun he was, how he kept the dancefloor full, and lead the guests when it was their tables turn for the buffet. The photobooth is "open air" so we didn't have to squeeze a bunch of people into a tiny box, and it's all digital too so guests got to text themselves the pictures, gifs, and boomerangs as well as receive a physical print. It's even like snapchat so instead of physical props guests got to add fun digital hats, etc to themselves!

10/10 would recommend!!

Danced all night!

Terry was our MC for our wedding back in August and him and his team truly did not disappoint! Our guests had a blast dancing all night, the DJ was incredible and took requests on a notebook to make sure all the requests were getting played.

Terry is super easy to work with, incredibly fast at responding and knows how to entertain a crowd throughout an event. Our guests couldn't stop talking about Terry and how funny/witty he was.

10/10 recommend if you're considering hiring Magic Entertainment!

The Best!!!

Terry was everything and more! We will forever recommend him to anyone looking for a DJ/MC for any event. He took the time to respond to my every inquiry email within minutes. When I first emailed him inquiring about pricing and potentially booking him for our wedding, he responded to me same day, while he was on vacation! He was always available to help, give advice, and was the most helpful in making my ceremony music dreams come true - which were complicated and difficult. He was so patient and so kind and put up with my OCD organization and my multiple lists and timelines. He totally made our wedding day and evening, he kept the party alive, his personality totally shines through when he speaks - just perfect for the occasion! He is a dream to work with, stand up guy, and clearly has passion for this industry. He also set us up with his photo booth vendor, which was the biggest hit of the wedding. The photo booth was custom to your liking (background and printouts you choose) and came fully stocked with every amazing prop you could think of. Very high tech and fancy. You could text the images to your phone for easy social sharing. Terry also provided us extra up lighting as our venue was a little dark come night fall and the lighting was amazing and made for fabulous evening photos. If you're looking for a wedding DJ/MC, he's the best! Thank you again, Terry and Magic Entertainment for everything!

Amazing DJ Experience

Terry is all around awesome! We really clicked with him from the very beginning and are so happy with our choice. Terry is so professional and has clearly done many weddings before. He was so helpful in making the wedding run smoothly and even accepted special requests from us (like announcing the end of the open bar, the start of dinner, etc). His prices are more than reasonable in my opinion. He has a playlist builder on his website so you're able to select which songs you want played during the reception. In addition to that he was also able to play custom songs (like instrumental versions of songs we found on Apple music) which we took advantage of for our ceremony. We really wanted to do Frank Sinatra-esque music for cocktail hour, but wasn't sure which songs to include. Terry said that he already had a playlist for that and suggested we do it for dinner instead (which was a great call!). In that case we wanted to do instrumental versions of pop songs for cocktail hour which he already had a playlist for as well (unfortunately we didn't get to hear this as we were taking pictures the whole time). We chose to do uplighting with him which was perfect. The dance mode is really fun. A month or two before our wedding we decided we wanted to do a photo booth. We ended up choosing him because it would be convenient but we were so happy with the photo booth. There are TONS of templates to choose from for the strips and they are even customizable. We chose to add on a TV to display the photos during the wedding which was so much fun. He also has an option to get all of the photos on a flash drive (which also includes a gif for each photo strip). We were able to print as many copies of each strip as we needed depending on how many people were in the photo. Tana who manned the booth was so helpful and nice.

Terry was amazing! He worked with us on everything, and he made everything so easy! The uplighting he did looked so great and really captured the essence and the feel of what we wanted. Our arbor that he provided and decorated was perfect and exactly what we wanted!
Our guests were moving and grooving all night long! The music was fun and lively, totally capturing the kind of music we like but also keeping our guests up and happy and dancing!
To sum up, Terry is the best and makes it all so easy!

Absolute Pleasure

Amazing Vendor!

Terry, Tana and Diane were absolutely amazing! By far the best team to work with. My fiancé is from Israel and Terry was able to accommodate the international music as requested! He kept the energy up as well as having everyone dancing all night! Diane and Tana kept all of our guests entertained with the photo booth and amazing personalities! Don’t look anywhere else!

Planning a wedding is stressful. There are so many aspects that go into picking vendors, but with Magic Entertainment I had no stress. Terry made every aspect of it seamless. I am not kidding when I say every single guest at our wedding loved him. His vibe, his upbeat attitude, he truly gets the crowd engaged and dancing, he is SO much fun! He is there every step of the way during the planning process and is extremely detail oriented. We lived pretty far away from our venue so talked on the phone and Skype called with Terry, and he always made sure to answer all questions and help walk us through the process since we weren’t sure of all the answers. I can not recommend Magic Entertainment and Terry enough, stop looking at DJ’s right now and call Terry!!

Terry is the best!

Terry was the DJ/emcee for our wedding in Walnut Creek in August, and he absolutely crushed it! We cannot recommend him enough. He is the perfect combination of professionalism and fun, and made sure that our day went smoothly. He and his team provided sound setup at the reception, cocktail hour, and reception (all in the same venue, but slightly different locations). As a DJ, he is fantastic in his music knowledge and offered a lot of helpful advice for crafting our playlists. As an emcee, he was extremely adaptable to any hiccups or last minute changes and ensured that everything flowed together. We couldn't imagine our wedding without Terry and cannot recommend him enough for your event!

Exceptional and Accommodating

Where do I start, first off I just want to thank Terry and his crew for helping make our wedding day incredibly special for us and our guests. Terry was nothing but accommodating from the first visit to the day of our wedding. Took his time listening and understanding what it was we wanted, while also reassuring us throughout the process that he would be their guide us. As you all know, the wedding day could be very nerve-wracking and stressful, but Terry reassured us that our only job that day was to have fun with our loved one and that he and our photographer would guide the evening to take any stress off of us. As for the entertainment and music, he was exceptional at keeping our friends and family engaged with his friendly banter and wonderful personality, as well keeping everyone on their feet and dancing all night until the "show" ended. Terry we can't thank you enough for professionalism, care, and dedication towards our special day. You were truly apart of the family, if only for one night.

The Absolute Best!

I first found Magic Entertainment through our venue’s preferred vendor list (The Club at Ruby Hill). I reached out for a quote and Terry replied within 30 minutes. My first impression was WOW, that was quick! We exchanged a few emails about pricing and services, then scheduled a video chat meeting. I had tons of questions, and Terry was SO thorough and helpful throughout the whole process. I immediately felt comfortable and at ease - Terry was so easy to chat with, so we booked him as our DJ/MC ASAP, and we also booked our uplighting through Magic. My now husband and I had the pleasure of meeting Terry in person at our venue’s menu tasting, where he MCed. Seeing him in action really confirmed our decision to book him. We were able to add songs that we wanted him to play in their portal, and about 2 weeks before our wedding day, we had another video chat to go over the songs we wanted, which songs to cut where, and the timeline. On the big day, Terry was nothing short of PHENOMENAL. He kept us right on schedule so my husband and I didn’t have to even think about anything, and kept the party going!

The uplights that Terry and his team provided looked AMAZING! It really added to the ambiance, and put our guests in party mode! I HIGHLY recommend booking Terry – he and everything he provided were worth every penny, and then some.

Highlight of the best day ever

Wow. Where to start with Magic Entertainment? I have a lot of words that describe how great Terry and his assistant were on our big day -- hilarious, professional, straightforward, flexible, and FUN are just a few of them, and that only scrapes the surface. We had the pleasure of video chatting with Terry about a month before our wedding, and from that point on we felt very comfortable with him -- he really knows what he's doing and knows how to make a potentially overwhelming situation like getting married feel easy and fun.

Anyone can tell you that your wedding is one of the few times when you'll have a ton of little preferences and worries, and you want all of them to go just according to plan. Music was a huge consideration for us on our big day, and Terry was very accommodating to our admittedly obscure music requests -- he went above and beyond to find all the special bootleg remixes that mean so much to us. Also, he helped us transition from ceremony to cocktail hour to reception seamlessly easy. This guy is a pro, and you can tell he loves his job. Team Jason for the Win

Amazing experience from start to finish: planning over email, phone calls, zoom meeting chat, Starbucks meet up, to the day of; literally one of the best decisions my fiance and I could have made for our day. Jason had an amazing presence the day of, kept us on time, flowed perfectly through the playlist we made with the help of their site, and gloriously took and 'un-took' requests (no Aunt Carol, Jason is not going to play a slow Shania Twain song after he got everyone on the floor with Bruno Mars). Seriously, team Jason for the win. Jason knows how to keep people on the dance floor and did a great job at bringing in songs that handfuls wanted while keeping it alive for everyone else. Jason did a wonderful job on the day but also getting to work with Terry from start to finish made the whole arrangement easy and one of the funnest planning parts of our entire wedding. Getting to go through and pick your songs is one of the best parts during the planning period, and Jason and Terry made it even better.
Incredibly wonderful people who want you to have the best day of your life, and they totally pulled through. Could not recommend more highly. Great people with wonderful, professional, and personal engagement that will make you going back for more.

Terry: an incredible ally, a terrific professional

The first time we met Terry in person was on the day of our wedding: before that, we had come across his listing on WeddingWire, and later we chatted with him over one video conference. In this small time, Terry wowed us completely with his kindness, competence, and amazing personality.

Before contacting Terry, we hadn’t even begun to think about our music. Right away, Terry provided us with the tools on his website to start picking our playlist and selecting the best songs for important moments of the wedding. Whenever we had a question about costs, times, or any little detail, Terry responded to our emails promptly and professionally. During our video chat with him, Terry won us over completely, proving himself to be charming, adaptable, and considerate of our still-incomplete grasp of the music.

On the day of, Terry was a consummate showman: he introduced our bridal party perfectly, guided everyone smoothly through the toasts, and kept the party going exactly as we had hoped. In the end, we weren’t able to 100% complete our playlist, so Terry provided a few extra songs to fill the gaps, which ended up working out wonderfully. Through dinner and dancing, all the way to our last song, Terry was there to make sure the experience was A-grade magic. We have the highest respect & gratitude for him, and will recommend his talents & services to anybody.

Terry did a great job at our wedding. We were worried about having dancing at our smaller wedding. It turns out we shouldn't have worried--there were people on the dance floor all night thanks to Terry's music choices. Dancing with guests is one of my favorite memories of the night. Terry was the best!!! He was very knowledgeable about the process of a wedding and was able to help us in preparation for the day. He is very responsive if you send him a message or email.

The day of the wedding he was great! The dance floor was never empty and he kept everything nice and relaxed with his personality. I highly recommend Terry and his staff for any event, especially your wedding day. We also used the photo booth and that was the best choice ever!!! Magic Entertainment was very professional, which made me feel at ease that our wedding and reception would flow nicely (I didn't have that same confidence in the venue itself unfortunately), which it did! We had some non-American music, and they made the song selection process sooooo easy - I was very thankful for that. Jason did a great job at communicating with and reading the crowd, and they do all of their own set-up. A cool bonus is that they work with a guy who provides arches and cool lighting features. It was nice to have one contract that covered all of that. Another interesting thing they do is that you don't have to pay a retainer fee. Given that we had to spend so much money at once, this was pretty nice. Terry said that he doesn't expect couples to pay for their services if something happens along the way (e.g. a break up, military deployment) - he prefers that his company's good reputation provides them business. I thought that was really considerate and caring. I would definitely hire them again!

Such a wonderful team to work with! Terry is very easy going and has such a great presence. We received many compliments from our guests about what a great entertainer he was at our wedding. We couldn’t be happier with the services he provided; from putting together all of our specific music requests to adding on a last minute request from us to include extra lighting on the dance floor. The photo booth Tana runs is so much fun, our guests loved it. We are so happy we had the opportunity to work with them!

Let me just start by saying that if I could give Terry 10 stars, I would. My husband and I recently hired Terry to DJ our wedding and from the very beginning he was professional, organized, and very easy to communicate with. We spoke with him twice via video-chat where he introduced us to his website with slick music database and requests form, and created his own timeline. He made sure that we did not have to worry about anything on the day of our event, including coordinating with our officiant prior to the ceremony.

During our cocktail hour we unfortunately had a medical emergency occur. Terry did a wonderful job directing guests, keeping everyone informed, and recovering the mood of the evening. He saved our wedding night and got everyone on to the dance floor (and kept them there!). Terry not only has a great voice and personality as an MC but he is also talented in reading the room and catering to a crowd with song choices.

I would not hesitate for a second to recommend Terry, and we hope to see him at future events.

Terry and his team was amazing and worked their butts off to make our day so special. He even worked hard to cut songs and find the Persian good versions of songs (which is not easy!) he responded quickly and got everyone on the dance floor! His daughters photo booth was a hit and they even designed a photo strip for us.

Terry was fantastic!! Very easy to work with. Knew the best music to play. I did not give him a list, I left everything up to him. He did a amazing job with keeping everyone engaged and on the dance floor. Everyone at the wedding commented how great he was. I highly recommend him and his company. I also rented lighting from him. The lighting was perfect and gave the room a special touch. He now does drapery too. Lastly, for the ceremony songs and special dances, part of his website has top 100 plus songs for each specific part of the wedding. The list definely helped us with our song selection. I highly recommend magic entertainment for any event!!!

Terry was our DJ for our wedding at the Berkeley Country Club and he was amazing from the beginning of the process to the very end. Terry was extremely helpful in planning our timeline and events, and he made great suggestions that worked out wonderfully at our wedding. He was extremely responsive to any questions I had leading up to the wedding and he held a meeting with us prior to the wedding to have a detailed discussion about what music and events we wanted at the wedding. He was detailed and knowledgeable, and just so very helpful. We had such a great turnout on the dance floor the night of our wedding and that was largely in part due to Terry's intuition, song selection, and emceeing. I would absolutely recommend Magic Entertainment. Thank you so much for everything, Terry!

Terry is not only a fantastic DJ, the way he engaged with the crowed provided an atmosphere of enjoyment. Our families loved his jokes and his personality. He’s funny talented and extremely outgoing. I would recommend him to anyone I knew looking for a DJ

For our October wedding, we chose to use Magic Entertainment for our DJ/emcee services and also used their lighting and photobooth. Terry’s DJ skills and emcee skills are amazing. He knows the right things to say to get the guests laughing and plays all the right songs at the right time! We are still hearing from our guests how great our DJ was! During our pre wedding meeting, Terry had great suggestions to keep the dance floor full all night. He had us use the playlist builder to select our favorite songs and played all the songs we wanted. Terry paid attention to our guests and what genres of music kept the dance floor full. He even threw in a couple of his selections, which were a hit!! Our dance floor was full all night! We also selected a lighting package and so glad we did. Terry was familiar with our venue and suggested lighting would compliment the venue. During our meeting, we agreed on light colors to correspond with our colors. Terry said he could keep the lights set or change them with the songs, but we thought the set would be best for us. During the dancing, we decided it would be fun to change up the lighting and asked Terry if we could do this. He said absolutely, and within seconds the lights changed. Another great option Magic Entertainment offers is a photobooth! We worked with Tana in choosing our photo layout and package options. She was great to work with and gave us exactly what we were promised. Our guests loved the photobooth, and there was a great selection of props for them to choose! We chose to get the package to get the photo album and so glad we did! At the end of the evening, Tana gave us a great quality album of all our guests’ pictures. It is so fun to look back through the pictures! We can’t say enough about Magic Entertainment and recommend them for all of our friend's events!

We hired Terry as our DJ after a referral from our cake lady and he did a completely amazing job!! Terry was incredibly professional and attentive to our needs. He met with us beforehand to go over all of our requests and followed through perfectly. I was very impressed by the selection of songs. Terry was on time, ready to go, and easy to work with! He was also very accessible in the months and days leading up to the event when I needed to contact him. Everyone had such a great time dancing the night away. Terry's uplighting provided the perfect ambiance for our special day!

We also selected the photo booth option from Magic Entertainment which was one of the best decisions I made for our wedding. It was a major hit! Tana from Magic Entertainment is also amazing! We chose the Platinum Package which included a photo book of all of our guests and some pictures of us as well. It was the most precious gift after the wedding. I enjoyed seeing everyone's photos and what a great time everyone was having.

I would highly recommend Magic DJ for all of your entertainment needs! Everyone had a great time at our wedding and it was due, in large part, to Magic Entertainment!

Terry was amazing! Here is a list of the various ways he helped with my wife & I's wedding:

Planning
1) He helped with the timeline, lighting ideas, floor plans that work well with the venue, and the song selection. All we had to do was provide a basic list of what we wanted to do and enough songs for him to gauge our musical tastes.
2) He provided recommendations for other vendors who were reliable, responsive, effective, and in budget.
3) He is friendly & punctual!

Wedding Day
4) All of the audio/visual equipment worked without any hassle and was set to appropriate volume levels
5) As the MC, he worked the room perfectly and kept us on schedule throughout the night
6) He added the perfect amount of goofiness that kept everyone entertained in the breaks
7) He was able to easily work with last minute changes and requests
8) Terry added a couple of the "instructional dance songs" (Hand clap, Cupid Shuffle) to make sure everyone felt comfortable out on the dance floor

All in all, Magic Entertainment is worth every penny.

From the first time I spoke with Terry, I knew that he was going to lead this wedding. I spoke with him for an hour before even letting him know that we'd selected him. He asks thoughtful questions and prepares thoroughly to ensure everything is on point.

As for the wedding, not only did myself and my wife think Terry over exceeded our expectations, but all of our guests went out of their way to say how much fun he was and how perfectly he read the dance floor. We had a playlist that he stuck to but moved around the songs as the crowd wanted certain genres. He was extremely professional, courteous but, most of all, a BLAST.

Terry was fantastic!! He was very flexible with all the last minute changes, very responsive and just an all around great guy! We had so many compliments from our guests on how "great our dj was." He kept our timining going, played perfect music for the occasion judging the crowd we had and did a fabulous job! We highly recommend him! Everything about Terry was amazing. From the first phone conversation I immediately knew that we had a great professional for our wedding. He walked us through all the music selections; even though we only chose a few songs he picked up our style and filled the evening with great music. I appreciate that Terry did not try to sell us extra services. When we had questions Terry would respond promptly. At first I was a bit nervous because Terry did not have any videos of him as a MC but I had nothing to fear as he was very classy and entertaining without being cheesy. The dance floor was occupied all evening even though the bride and groom were in and out of the dance floor. If you want a DJ/MC who will work well with minimal stress and effort on your part then I highly recommend Terry.

The uplighting were great too!

Terry is a wonderful vendor who totally won not only our hearts and smiles, but that of our guests too. The best thing about Terry is his voice! When we first called around for a DJ to play music at our venue we left a voicemail. Terry called us back within a few minutes. And when I heard his voice I told my fiancé "that's the DJ we want!" We met Terry a couple of times prior to the wedding. He is meticulous and worked well with our event coordinators at the venue. Terry isn't just a DJ. He's an excellent MC! So good, we are ready to book him for our 10 year anniversary celebrations! Thank you Terry!

We hired Terry of Magic Entertainment as the DJ for our daughter's wedding in July. He was great! He was professional and easy to work with. We didn't just want a DJ who spun music, but also an Emcee who would keep the party alive-and Terry was outstanding! Not only did he keep the reception schedule on time ( so we could just enjoy), he got all our guests on the dance floor laughing and smiling! I would definately recommend him for any event.

Terry is fantastic!! He provided music for the preceremony, ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner and dancing as well as slideshows for the parent dances. He had two separate setups: one for the ceremony and one for cocktail, dinner and dancing. He comes 100% prepared, completely self sufficient (including a battery powered setup for the ceremony where there were no outlets) and just nails the entire event! He kept the night moving and really vibed with the crowd playing the right music to keep people dancing. I literally have no constructive feedback as the night was absolutely perfect!! The slideshows he made for the parent dances were amazing and I highly recommend! Not a dry eye in the house! Thank you Terry!!

We absolutely loved having Terry DJ and emcee our wedding. During planning he's very organized, responsive, and willing to meet as many times as needed. He edited songs exactly how we wanted.

Terry's speaking voice was perfectly clear. His personality was very warm and energetic (though not TOO energetic) and made our guests feel welcome. When we were worried that our guests would leave the dance floor empty he offered solutions for how to get the dance party going.

Overall we were super happy with Terry as our DJ/emcee for our wedding event. We highly recommend him to anyone.

Terry is an AMAZING DJ & emcee! Book him immediately!

We had the best time with Terry as our DJ & emcee. My guests absolutely loved him! He is very professional, experienced, fun, and the perfect emcee! He knows how to read the crowd and go from there. It was all fun throughout the night.

Two weeks before my wedding date we had a final in-person meeting. He is such a friendly person, super personable. We went over the day-of timeline, music we wanted, and other important details. His knowledge with music is incredible. On my wedding day, he made NO mistakes (yay!), played all the kinds of music I wanted, and executed everything perfectly. My ceremony was held outdoors, and everything sounded clear and fantastic.

Bonus: He has the perfect emcee voice and personality!

Not knowing what to expect from a wedding DJ, I was extremely happy with Magic Entertainment. Both Terry and Brandon assisted throughout the process and provided excellent advice. Brandon was our actual DJ at the event, and he was awesome. He helped keep us on track, but was very good at allowing the schedule to be flexible based on the flow of the event. He listened to what kind of music we wanted and stuck to it, and when he got a random request he asked before playing. He also found a last minute (like literally last minute towards the end of the night) song for me. We also used their photo booth rental and the ladies who ran it were awesome. They interacted with the guests, helped with costume changes and overall were a great addition to the wedding. The photo booth also allows for you to pick the photo strip design, which is great because you can make it match your theme. Overall, I would recommend Magic Entertainment for any event!!!

Brandon was absolutely amazing to work with. Both Terry and Brandon met with me and my husband twice before our big day. They were so very comfortable to be around and made me feel at ease trusting Brandon with setting the tone for our reception. Brandon paid extreme attention to detail, including making sure that he pronounced names correctly for introductions. When we arrived for our reception, Brandon was there and ready to get the party started. He was very professional, but made things so much fun for everyone! The day before the wedding I threw a surprise in the mix. Since my husbands best man/brother wasn't able to make it to the actual wedding, we had him make a video speech for us to play at the reception. Brandon jumped right into it and without hesitation, set everything up to his system and made the moment so much more special than I could have imagined. He has charm, character, and professionalism. My husband and I received so many compliments meant for Brandon, including from my parents. They LOVED him. Not only do my husband and I give Brandon the highest of recommendations, but much, if not all, of our family does as well.

Terry Newberry is not just a great DJ, he is an outstanding entertainer. He kept the mood happy and light, and he influenced people to join in the dancing who normally would have just sat and watched. Everyone had a wonderful experience and several people came up to me to find out how I found DJ Magic Entertainment. We received lots of compliments from the guests. I recommend them for any kind of event. The experience was great, Terry is professional, dependable, knows how to communicate with a crowd of people of all ages, and was very reasonable. There is also a huge catalog of music to choose from, plus anything you want to add of your own. You can't go wrong.

Terry was absolutely the best choice for our wedding on March 12! We really needed someone to take over and be an emcee for our crowd. He kept the laughs rolling and played some really great music and games as well. It was a lot of fun to not only have him as the DJ, but he also worked so well with all of our other vendors that everything honestly went so smoothly.

Magic Entertainment is a great vendor to work with! They assisted us with our uplighting for our company holiday event. It created such a beautiful atmosphere. Terry is great at communicating with the customer and really customizing his lights for your event. The uplighting was setup before I arrived to my location and they came and tore down without any problem! 100% worth every penny spent with this vendor, we will be booking again with Magic Entertainment for our future events.

We used Magic Entertainment for our wedding in October. Terry from Magic Entertainment is truly amazing from coordinating the music and the time line he handled it all. Magic Entertainment provides a service beyond the standard DJ service. We had to change up the wedding setup day of and they were very flexible and easy to work with. So easy that I actually did no work. Terry made my experience nearly effortless from beginning to end. One might say he creates a magical experience. I wouldn't recommend anyone else and I would definitely higher them again.

I knew Terry was the best DJ for my wedding after I got to see him in action at my best friend's wedding earlier in the year. He is any wedding's secret weapon! Not only is he an excellent DJ who can read a crowd, keep a party fun and even play requests, but he goes above and beyond by doubling as a MC and directing the events of the day as needed. He's very approachable and easy to work with as well, which was really a relief. My husband says that if anyone we know ever needs a DJ, to do themselves a favor and get Terry Newberry!

We had overwhelming positive feedback regarding Terry from all our guests. He was great to work with during the planning process and better than expected the day of. The impromptu shoe game was a hit with everyone and the crowd raved about the music played. I couldn't imagine going with a different DJ. A+ for sure!
