Amazing work

Magda was so patient with me (someone who knows nothing about hair and makeup) and truly elevated my wedding day look with her expertise. She was also so good with my friends and family who also got hair and makeup done. HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend. She's the best.

Best makeup experience for the best day of my life

Magda did my makeup as well as my mother’s and some of my bridesmaids’ makeup for my May 2021 wedding and looking back at the pictures I could not be happier with her work. She is a true professional, talented and so knowledgeable about skin care and makeup application. As someone who does not wear makeup on a regular basis, it was so important to me to look beautiful but natural and like myself on my wedding day and Magda pulled the look off. She truly listens to you and her pricing and contract are reasonable and straightforward. My mother and bridesmaids only had positive reviews of Magda’s work, and everyone looked so beautiful because of her.

She has a great energy, is down to earth, and is open to feedback. Her calm demeanor was much appreciated as we all scrambled to get ready the morning of the wedding. From the way she prepped my skin, to the application of the eyelashes, to the colors she used, every product was quality, and I am proud to say my makeup lasted on a hot day from the ceremony to outdoor reception to the afterparty that lasted through the night.

Best wedding makeup

I am so happy with the results of my makeup Magda did for myself and my bridesmaids. She is an artist and her work is fabulous. Our makeup was radiant from the beginning of the day all throughout the evening. I couldn’t be happier and would recommend Magda for any and every event! Magda’s Designs

I can’t express how happy I was with Magda, she truly is the best makeup artist you will find. My experience with Magda was wonderful she was on time and very professional. She did makeup for my sons wedding for me, my mom, sister-in-law and niece. She had an age span from 28 to 83, she did elegant glam for my niece to a beautiful natural look for my 83 year old mom and everyone’s makeup was impeccable and flawless.

The wedding day was very humid and despite sweating a little, the makeup lasted all day and night.

Now for me, I felt beautiful and loved the way I looked. I can’t express how happy we all were. I highly recommend Magda, I will never use anyone else.

Fantastic Experience with Magda Designs

I highly recommend Magda Designs for your wedding day! After several COVID twists and turns, and having to significantly downsize our wedding, Magda came to the rescue and put me at such ease. She asked great questions, understood my vision, and addressed all my concerns about safety precautions. On the day of the wedding, Magda and Stephanie were so attentive to exactly what my ladies wanted and got along beautifully with my family and wedding party. We had so much fun! Everyone felt pampered and amazing. We also finished early. Everyone's hair and makeup stayed beautifully all day, even wearing masks on and off throughout the day, and taking pictures on the beach. Thank you so much Magda for making my day so special!

Magda is amazing!!

Update! Magda did both my micro wedding and my big wedding this past June and she was absolute perfection just as expected! My makeup lasted the entire day and was the exact look I was envisioning for my wedding day. I cannot recommend her enough!

Everything about my experience with Magda was amazing. She went above and beyond to accommodate me when my June wedding was postponed due to covid and converted into a micro wedding in August. My makeup was perfect for the occasion of a micro wedding and lasted the entire day. I can’t wait for her to do my makeup again for my big wedding in June. She is the best!

Magda was amazing

My sister used Magda for hair and make up for her COVID mini-money and will be using her for the big wedding day and all I can say is that she is amazing. The makeup looked untouched by the end of the night and felt super light on my skin.

Magda was super professional and respectful of the COVID restrictions / guidelines. Made us feel safe and normal! Would recommend to anyone!

Beautiful results!

My wedding was during the pandemic, and we didn't want to reschedule as my husband and I didn't want to wait any longer. My original hair and makeup girl didn't feel comfortable working on my hair (due to the pandemic) and Magda came recommended to me by an owner of a bridal boutique. I didn't know much about her at the time and just took a chance. And I hit the jackpot with Magda!!!

She was very good at communicating with me from the start. I didn't have enough time to have a "trial" as I found her last minute, but I didn't need it. I gave her an idea of what I was thinking of and I am so happy with the outcome. My makeup and hair were FLAWLESS!

Not only is Magda very talented but she is very nice, thoughtful, and had a good energy. I highly recommend her!!!!!

Love love love - excellent service

Magda was absolutely wonderful. She came with her assistant Stephanie and I had a full wedding party for them both (6 bridesmaids, my mom and myself) and they did an absolute amazing job with everyone! She started at around 10:30 and we finished around 3:00. She stayed true to her schedule and her pricing are fair. I had a trial with her earlier in the year and this really helped as she got to learn my style and was able to portray this into my wedding day hair and makeup so it was one less stress to worry about. Thank you for everything!

Absolutely Flawless!!!

Magda did my makeup and Stephanie did my hair for my wedding day and I felt flawless!! I hardly wear makeup and am not used to the way it looks on me all the time but Magda does a stunning all natural look. She takes her time and has an incredible eye for design. Stephanie is a genius when it comes to hair. On the day of my trial I told Stephanie what I wanted and she created the look for me. Then she asked if she could try something and tweaked the style a little bit. She made it 10 times better and that was my perfect wedding hair! I also had 7 bridesmaids that requested different hairstyles and makeup and they all looked so beautiful and loved their looks. On top of this, Magda and Stephanie are just great people and it was so nice to have their calming energy in the bridal suite. They are both extremely talented and I look forward to working with them for any other time I need to get glammed up! (hoping it's soon!!!)

Magda and her team were amazing! Words simply cannot describe how stress free the process was to ensure I looked gorgeous on my wedding day. Natural and beautiful - Magda's style is a rarity!

Magda impressed me, my Mom, and my bridesmaids beyond belief! Most importantly, she will make you feel beautiful in your own skin. Her style is more natural than a lot of other makeup artists, which is very hard to find (she can do any style though!). I fell in love with Magda’s style during our trial – she asked me for photos of things I liked and didn’t like and she basically nailed the look on the first try. I felt like I was in really good hands for the wedding and was really thankful to have found her. She is nice, makes you feel comfortable around her, and is open to suggestions - her goal is to make you happy with your look! I had a first makeup trial with another woman who made me look not like myself. I wear subtle makeup day-to-day so I didn’t want to lose my features. On the day of the wedding, she was very professional and detailed, but she worked swiftly – the girls loved their natural, but gorgeous looks which accentuated all of their best features. My makeup stayed on pretty perfectly throughout the whole day even though I am definitely a crier and love to dance. Both of my maid of honors who are getting married this year immediately inquired about her availability. After my wedding photos had come in, multiple people have asked me where I had my makeup done and those that live far out-of-state have asked for my wedding photo for reference to instruct their own makeup artist. If you are looking to feel beautiful, like the best version of yourself on your wedding day – book Magda without a doubt!

Incredibly Special

I cannot express say how amazing Magda was, from the trial through to the day of the wedding. In addition to being amazing with the hair and makeup at the trial, she became my aesthetician and helped my skin get to a place when I felt effortlessly beautiful and glowing. Our personalities instantly clicked and her willingness to help and communicate with me from day 1 immediately won me over. I didn’t even have to go to any other trials because I knew she was the right fit for me and booked her right at the trial and I don’t regret it for one second! Not only did she take wonderful care of me, but she also did my sister’s, my best friend’s, and my goddaughter’s hair and makeup. My makeup and hair didn’t budge and I felt just as beautiful at the end of the night (one of the images below). Thank you so much Magda. You truly added to the magic of my special day.

Awesomeness!

Magda was the BEST makeup and hairstylist any bride could ever want. She not only was professional but exceptional in the work that she does. Excellent experience!

Magda did hair and makeup for myself, my mom, and my sisters for my wedding day. I've been in a lot of weddings and have had my hair and makeup done many times before, and can absolutely without hesitation say Magda did a fabulous job, much better job that anyone else I have worked with. My mom was so transformed that the photographer didn't even recognize her from before to after hair and makeup. Magda listened to what I wanted, helped me interpret that for a look that worked with my dress, and was very flexible to my feedback (including doing a second trial when I wanted to try adjusting my hair.) The best part though is everyone not only looked amazing, but also looked totally natural. The makeup looked as good up close as it did for the camera. She is also friendly, fun, and an awesome addition to the bridal suite for the day of the wedding.

Perfectly smooth even without a hair trial!

Magda did a wonderful job on my hair as well as my girls. It was too difficult for me to do a hair trial because I was living out of state in Indiana. On the day of my wedding, I showed her a few pictures of what I wanted my hair to look like (Hollywood glam) and she was able to create that look for me perfectly. I chose not to use any hair extensions and it still looked beautiful. Thank you Madga for your services! 😘

Just Amazing!!

Truly 5 star in every category. I had 4 hair trials before I selected Magda. Needless to say I am picky about hair. Magda was able to perfectly recreate the natural, yet elegant, down style I was looking for that I was having trouble finding with anyone else. My hair looked soft and finished, and my 3 bridesmaids looked perfect as well. Magda was so calming and organized the day of the wedding. There was never a minute I felt rushed. She had used her time so well, we even had time to do a style for Mom (which also looked perfect) that we hadn't planned for. I have been in many weddings. The speed that Magda is able to work with achieving the level of quality she does shows how well she knows what she is doing and this is exactly what you need the day of your wedding, a professional. She also was able to give me a few tips about how I needed to prepare my hair leading up the wedding. I am so happy I chose Madga for my day. I cannot thank you enough Madga!

Best make up/hair team ever!

Magda and her team of girls made my wedding day go smoothly and perfect. I had 6 bridesmaids all of them were extremely happy with their look. The team was timely, professional and gave everyone and individually stunning look. Generally, I am not a photogenic person so I was extremely nervous about how I would look in pictures but I came out amazing! I definitely plan on using them for other events... baby showers, holiday parties etc.

Thrilled with beautiful and natural wedding hair and makeup!

My bridesmaids and I were thrilled with how natural and beautiful Magda and her team were able to make us look for my wedding! We loved their ability to make everyone's natural hair (ranging from curly to straight, thick to thin) each look gorgeous and special. Our makeup similarly enhanced each of our features, while looking flawlessly natural and elegant. Magda also went above and beyond agreeing to stay for her normal rate extra time to do touch-ups after we were outside (it was really hot out). She is a wonderful vendor to work with and her and her team helped make my big day have a really special start!

Magda rocks!

Magda and team were an absolute pleasure! We had to start getting ready at 6AM, so not only did they have to be there at the crack of dawn, but they managed to be so professional and relaxed while we were all exhausted and stressed — they totally brought good vibes for us all. The work magda did was absolutely amazing, particularly the makeup. My ladies were all beautiful to begin with 😜but I was completely blown away by how magda managed to emphasize all their best features without making anyone look over done. Totally will be recommending to my engaged friends!!!

Weddings are stressful, but hair and makeup is one thing that doesn't have to be! My advice: HIRE MAGDA! She's amazing! She has a spectacular ability to bring out your natural beauty without losing the "you" in your wedding day! I'm super picky with my hair, and very anxious anytime I get it put up, but she was patient and responsive to every little concern I had! After our trial I knew I had nothing to worry about re: hair/makeup for the big day! She's just wonderful! Excellent for moms, sisters, bridesmaids (and even a little touchup on your handsome groom!). Seriously, I would recommend to stop reading reviews and give her a call ASAP!!!

Magda has been a lifesaver for me. I first started seeing her when I had severe acne, and I continue to go to her for regular facials and micro needling. Although Magda works in New Jersey and I live in Philly, I make the 2-hour trek every month or so for treatment. Believe me when I tell you she is amazing. I've tried other aestheticians in PA and have never seen the results I do when I go to her. I'll follow her anywhere and drive as many hours as I need to so that she can work her magic on me. I've also had her do my makeup and was beyond thrilled with the results.

I booked Magda for my wedding day and I could not have been happier with how my hair and makeup came out! I am not usually one to wear makeup and Magda's natural and soft makeup looks are the reason I reached out to her. She came to my house for a trial, and we went through multiple options for my big day. She was patient and attentive and I never felt rushed. We finalized a look, but as the wedding drew closer I began to change my mind about how I wanted my makeup to look. I was nervous about how the changes I requested would look, but Magda absolutely blew me away! She was accommodating and when I explained what I wanted to change since our trial she listened to exactly what I wanted and it came out better than I ever imagined. She was a pleasure to work with and was so knowledgeable about her craft. She also did makeup and hair for my bridesmaid, mother, and mother-in-law, and everyone loved their looks. They all requested different styles of hair and makeup and Magda was able to pull it off with ease. Everyone's makeup and hair looked flawless throughout the entire night. Magda made me feel like a princess on my wedding day and I can not recommend her enough!!!

Magda was amazing to work with. She did hair and makeup for myself (the bride), the MOB, the MOG and 5 bridesmaids – and everyone looked amazing! I have curly hair that tends to look awful in up do’s and she had it looking perfect all night long. She juggled all of my bridal parties demanding personalities (a few ladies had specific requests and wanted it redone just so and had us all commenting that we never looked better. I would definitely recommend her to everyone!

Magda was fantastic to work with. I am typically weary of online reviews but getting married 800 miles away from where I live meant I had to believe what I was reading. Magda was always available when I had questions and had great ideas when it came to my look for my wedding. She makes you look and feel so special and treated my entire party wonderfully. If you want to look and feel fabulous on your wedding day, Magda is who you want!

Magda was amazing! She did make up for myself, my 7 bridesmaids, and the MOB and MOG. Everyone looked fabulous!! I got so many compliments on my make up and felt like a million bucks. I dont wear make up normally and wanted a very natural look. All of my girls looked so natural and classic. She uses individual lashes which are must better than the strips. She's very easy to work with, knows a ton about make up (she told me not to be too tan or my make up will look green.) She asked all the girls about their normal skin treatments and make up regimens to try to match their skin types. Because of Magda I looked beautiful :) If you're looking for natural flawless elegance, she's your girl :)

Magda is EXCELLENT at what she does! My family and I have used her for makeup and/or hair for 3 majorly important occasions, and she is fantastic.

For my sister's wedding, we hired her to do the makeup for my sister, my mom, and me (for logistical reasons, bridesmaids' makeup was done at another place where we did all of our hair). She did such a great job; our makeup looked natural, yet beautiful (just like we had requested!) and it lasted all day & night. Magda really knows how to make a bride stand out, and my sister's makeup, especially, was STUNNINGLY gorgeous. I actually wore mine the following day because I was so tired by the time we got back that I forgot to wash my face, and since it still looked perfect in the morning, I kept it on :) So basically, her makeup application lasted from 2 pm on a Saturday until 8 pm on Sunday! I'm prone to getting very shiny, and the fact that this didn't happen is a miracle in my book.

She also did my sister's makeup for another big event in April 2015, and I used her again myself in May 2015 for hair & makeup. We will all definitely be contacting her when the need arises for us to look our best.

She always responds quickly to messages (via text/email/voice), arrives exactly on time, keeps everybody on schedule, pays attention when we describe what we're looking for (and actually delivers it), has a great attitude, is a total professional, prices reasonably, and is all around a pleasure to work with! And I feel that the fact that she comes to you is a bonus and makes everything so much more comfortable. I highly recommend her; you will not be disappointed!

Magda was wonderful to work with from when first inquiry to wedding day. I was planning my wedding from across the country so had only a week time to have a hair/makeup trial run. Scheduling was a breeze and Magda helped put my ideas into a look I felt both great and comfortable in. She is no-nonsense and really works to ensure that you are happy with your final look. Very clear on details throughout so no surprises, follows through and professional throughout. My 5 bridesmaids, mother and I got our hair/makeup done and the morning of the wedding was not hectic at all - would highly recommend!

Madga was professional, prompt, response, and great at making natural beautiful makeup. I didnt know exactly what I wants for my hair and she was accommodating and it came out perfect.....stayed all day!!! She was wonderful to work with! Meeting Magda and choosing her to do my hair and makeup, and my five bridesmaids as well, for my wedding was one of the best decisions I made! I had my makeup trial with Magda and was so happy with the results that I also had Magda do my makeup for my bridal shower. Everyone complimented me at my shower.

On my Wedding Day Magda showed up to my house promptly and went to work immediately to get us all ready and beautiful. She did an incredible job - everyone complimented me all day and told me I looked like a movie star. I told her what my vision was and I'm still in awe of the look that she created for me. I looked like a polished, natural, and beautiful version of myself. I had never worn hair extensions before and they came out perfectly. I didn't worry about my makeup fading or my hair at all (which I wore down and curly and with extensions). I even had a bridesmaid wake up the next day and tell me her hair still looked perfect. I typically think that so many bridesmaids look overdone at Weddings but every one of my girls looked incredible. Magda did such a great job that my future sister in law booked her for her wedding next June - I can't wait to work with Magda again. I highly recommend her, she is a delight to work with and a genuinely great person.

Magda was so amazing to work with! As the bride, we obviously need to look flawless, and Magda did just that. I was worried about my face looking to made up, as I'm not a very heavy make-up wearer. She made me look natural and beautiful, and all of the makeup stayed in place throughout the whole night. I was also worried about my hair, as it's naturally curly and sometimes difficult to handle. She made it look so elegant, and still look at pictures in awe as to how amazing she made me look. She was quick, and timely, and she really understood what me and my bridesmaids wanted. She is truly a talented make-up and hair stylist, and I HIGHLY recommend her services!

I had a fantastic experience with Magda. She was very punctual, professional and easy to work with. She came in early to set up and made sure that both me and my mom were ready and looked absolutely flawless on my wedding day. Magda did such a magical job on my wedding hair and makeup. I had the individual lashes put on and they looked incredible. My hair and makeup stayed looking flawless all night and I have received many compliments from our guests. So did my mom. It blew my mind how amazing my mom looked. Magda was able to enhance my mom’s natural beauty and made her makeup look very elegant and age appropriate. My mom loved it! My wedding pictures proved that Magda is a very professional and talented artists!!!. I have already booked her for this year’s events; a wedding, a communion and a 50th anniversary party. I booked Magda and her team for my wedding on July 20, 2013. I first met Magda in February for my trial. Within minutes, I knew this was the person I wanted to work with for my wedding. She listens to exactly what you want and instantly both her vision and your own vision come to life. On the day of my wedding, her team was on time and ready to go. All of my bridesmaids looked beautiful, my mother and mother-in-law were ecstatic, and I couldn't have been more pleased with how I looked at how my entire wedding party looked. I got married on the hottest day of the summer, and when you look at pictures my hair and make-up is still in place. Every guest commented on how beautiful everyone looked, and it was all because of Magda and her team. My best friend was so thrilled with the way she looked, that she booked Magda for her own wedding this summer. I would highly recommend Magda to anyone who is getting married and know they will not be disappointed in their choice.

Magda did hair and makeup for myself for my wedding, along with my 7 bridesmaids and mob! She was absolutely amazing!! My hair was perfect and she did exaxy what I wanted. All I had to do was give her an idea of what I wanted and she got to work. I could not have asked for a better hair and makeup artist. My wedding day was perfect and I can thank Magda for having such a huge part in that. My hair lasted all night and my makeup did not smudge at all even though it was almost 100 degrees and we took our pics outside! You should definitely use her!!

Magda is a pleasure to work with and is really talented at hair design. Magda did my makeup for my wedding day and was awesome. She is a one-woman-army of beauty. As a business woman, she was punctual, responsive and flexible with time changes. As a makeup artist, my makeup was flawless and beautiful all day. I looked and felt awesome. I don't usually wear makeup so it was very important to me to look natural and not feel like I was caked with makeup, but still look great in my photos. Magda did all of those things. I also truly appreciated how calm and focused she was the monring of my wedding since I was super frazzled. She definately helped me calm down :)

I would definitely recommend her to any bride.

When our initial hair appointment for our wedding morning went bust, a friend recommended we contact Magda. Fortunately, she was available, did an OUTSTANDING job, and was very accomodating to our tight schedule on incredibly short notice. Thanks for making our wedding day so much brighter!!

Magda is AMAZING. She made me feel like a supermodel on my wedding day. I am not someone who likes to look overly made-up, but I also wanted to look special on my wedding day, and Magda totally understood what I meant and followed my wishes to a T. She is truly a professional in every way! My bridesmaids were also thrilled with their hair and makeup. This was especially important to me because with the exception of my maid of honor, my bridesmaids were all my young nieces. So, I was nervous about them looking too made up or wearing too much makeup for their ages. But Magda completely respected their ages and their wishes, and made them all look simply gorgeous. The same goes for my mother, who hadn't worn makeup in probably 30 years and was very uncomfortable with it! But Magda did an amazing job with her, too. I have gotten SOOO many compliments on how great my hair and makeup looked, as well as my bridesmaids'! I cannot recommend Magda highly enough!!!

My sister hired Magda to do make-up for her (the bride), the bridesmaids (myself) and our Mom for her July wedding. The morning of the wedding was the first time I met Magda and my first impression was a fantastic one. She came fully prepared, she was extremely friendly and nice, she demonstrated her flexibility with completing our make-up routine and collaborated extremely well with our hair stylist, whom she's never worked with before! Magda did the makeup for myself, my bridesmaids and my mom for my July wedding. She is professional, reliable and understanding. My trial and wedding day makeup was fabulous- she used all the right products and colors for me on both occasions. She made me look like myself but better! My husband was worried that I would show up looking like a "clown" but one of the first things he commented on was that I looked like me! One more important point I would like to make here is that Magda was recommended to me by another makeup artist who has worked with her; plus my hair stylist (who has been in the business for 20+ years and had never worked with her before) was very impressed with her work and how well they collaborated on all our looks. Magda is amazing! I am usually sketchy about using people that were not referred by a personal acquaintance but I was so pleasantly surprised. I will continue to use Magda's services for as long as I can!

Magda is, hands-down, the BEST wedding hair & makeup stylist in the whole wide world!!!! She has done my hair & makeup several times for weddings & on December 23 she made me look like the most elegantly beautiful, natural version of myself. To say that Magda did an amazing job on hair and makeup for my wedding would be an understatement. She really made my day perfect!! The talent that she and her team brought the day of my wedding was amazing, and everyone was absolutely thrilled with the work that they did. Susie and her team did such a wonderful job for my friend's wedding. All of the the bridal party and the bride were so happy with the service and the quality of the work. Susie was beyond professional and really took time to accentuate each persons features. We had a great time with our beauty morning and really enjoyed our time with Susie. I was a bridesmaid in a wedding this past September and I could not have asked to have a better person to do my hair and make-up than Magda. I brought a picture of what I wanted my hair to look like and what she did was soooo much better. It was absolutely gorgeous and did not move all night. I have very, very hard hair to work with especially when doing up-do's and this was the first time I didn't have to keep fixing my hair. As for my make-up, I didn't have to say or do a thing. She just looked at me and suggested a few things, which I of course let her do since she is the professional, and I loved it! I didn't look fake and she brought out all of my features! You would have never known I was just a bridesmaid in the wedding because I was treated like I was the bride. I will definitely recommend her to anyone who asks and I plan on using her when I get married!!!

She made sure everything went smoothly as far as hair and make up! She is very professional but so fun at the same time! She was on time in the morning... Maybe like 10 mins early! She did all 8 of my bridesmaids and not one complaint!! All just thrilled with both their hair and make up! I can't describe in words how happy I was with my hair and make up. She also made this absolutely beautiful, unique, classy hair piece for me to wear that night...just loved it! It was perfect, it went so well with my whole look and it didn't look like some ordinary hair piece! Magda really understood the look I wanted immediately!
She actually did my hair and make up for the following day dinner... And wow also stunning....but she made sure I looked different than the night before! The girls that came with her to assist were also really good!! I liked how Magda and they were all on the same page. EVERYONE from bride to flower girls were ready with time to kill! And looking fabulous! Hair and make up stayed put and photo ready alll day and night! I honestly didn't do one touch up because there was just no need!!! I have magda to thank for making sure the morning of my weddingnwent smoothly and stress free! She also knows that YOU ARE the bride and that you are her main priority! Just love her! For my October wedding, Magda did both my hair and make-up and my bridesmaids as well. She was professional, punctual, and efficient. My make-up was exactly how I pictured it to be on my wedding day. My bridesmaids make-up matched perfectly with the eggplant colored gowns. Overall, she did an awesome job! My make-up stayed on throughout the entire night and my hair held up well considering all the dancing I did throughout the night. Magda met with me about a month before my wedding, and helped me pick out a veil and a headpeice that matched perfectly with my ivory dress. I used Magda for my recent wedding and she was terrific. She did the makeup for myself, 4 of my bridesmaids and my mother. The makeup was beautiful and flawless and she listened to the requests of all of the girls and was very accomodating. Everyone looked very elegant and not at all overdone. At my trial I felt that some of the eye makeup was heavy handed and when I mentioned it to her, Madga took my concerns to heart and made the appropriate changes so that I felt comfortable and beautiful on my special day. Magda did the hair and makeup for my wedding on 9/5/2010. Including myself, Magda and her team worked on ten of us the morning of my wedding. They were on time, set up quickly, and immediately got started on me and the other girls. Magda and her assistants were professional, knowledgeable, and a pleasure to work with! We were finished early and getting ready was a relaxing and fun experience, thanks to Magda's hard work and expertise. I absolutely loved the way my hair and makeup looked, and I got compliments all day and night! (I had had a trial done back in April and Magda was great then too - we talked over how I wanted to look on my wedding day and she listened to my requests and gave me a very 'romantic' yet elegant hairstyle and soft makeup). Additionally, she recommended skin products for me to use and gave me a cleansing/exfoliating routine so that my skin would look its best. Finally, my bridesmaids looked perfect and beautiful - Magda listened to them and styled their hair according to their preferences. She really understood the look and 'theme' I was going for and I thought all of the girls looked elegant and classy. I thought she was completely fabulous and I can't thank her enough for being an integral part of my dream wedding :) I would highly recommend Magda and her team!

Magda and her whole team were amazing! They provided 11 sets of hair and make-up; everyone was done on time, and looked gorgeous. Madga is professional, responsive, and incredibly talented. I'm sure you'll read that dozens of times on any reviews of her. However, perhaps the best thing I can say about my personal experience with Magda was that she took my suggestions seriously. I was in a mind-set to defer to her as a professional stylist, but was afraid of ending up with the dreaded "prom hair." While she encouraged me to try new ideas, I never felt any pressure to say OK to something I didn't like. At the end of the day, I ended up with the perfect, vaguely-retro, easy to manage hair and make-up that I had wanted. My bridemaids were all styled according to what they had asked for-- sleek and modern or romantic or glam. The moms were all thrilled, and everyone was comfortable enough to forget about how we looked and simply enjoy the party. I highly recommend her and her team.

I can't thank Magda enough for what an amazing job she did the day of my wedding. My entire bridal party looked absolutley amazing! Each and every single one of my girls commented on how much they loved there hair and makeup and they all looked stunning. Jessica did the girls make up and Magda did all the hair. Both women did such a phenomenal job and i have already recommended Magda and her team to two other brides! Magda did both my hair and makeup and it was just simply all perfection. I have nothing but GREAT things to say about Magda and her team. Magda worked very closely with me prior to the wedding until I was satisfied with my hair and make-up. I have curly hair and thought that it would be difficult to create a nice hair-do, Magda worked with my curls with ease and created an elegant and classy look. Regarding make-up, I wear very little or none at all on a regular basis, Magda used airbrushing on me and gave me a very NATURAL and elegant look. The day of the wedding, Magda and her team were on time and ready to get to work. They worked on 9 make-ups and 6 hairs and they had us ready on-time. I received nothing but compliments on my hair and make-up from family and friends throughout the night, I�m still hearing about it and it�s been 7 weeks later. Her office in is NJ but I always met her in the city at the Designer Loft as she has no issues with transportation, she goes where you are! I HIGHLY recommend her, I know of two individuals getting married next summer and I have already passed on her contact information. If anyone has questions call her she is very approachable and easy to work with! Thank you Magda for making me and my ladies look beautiful on my special day!

Magda was amazing! I was SO thankful that I found someone so talented and that didn't give me a "Prom up do"! That's how I knew she was the one!!! She was so accomodating and down to earth. She made me look stunning! She met us in Manahawkin, NJ for our wedding at Bonnet Island Estate. She did my hair and make up, my mom's hair and make up, 5 bridesmaid's hair as well as my maid of honor's eye make up! THRILLED!!!! Absolutely positively beyond happy with Magda Designs. Magda and her assistant were professional, efficient, flexible, and extremely skilled in their field. Magda really listened to what I wanted, and more importantly what I didn't want. It was very important to me to look like ME, just a little done up, on my big day, and that's what I got! My day of hair was exactly like my trial hair and she did it so effortlessly! (She comes to you for trials!)
I had 5 bridesmaids and a 3 year old flower girl....they were all SO happy with their makeup application because it was to their taste yet fancy for the day, and Magda's assistant absolutely PERFECTED everyone's hair. We had braids, curls, short hair, long hair, thin hair, thick hair, extensions.....she managed to make them all look cohesive and match the style of the wedding and dresses as we showed and described to her (without doing any trials!).
Highly Recommended and would use them again in a heartbeat!

Magda did a fantastic job on wedding hair and makeup for me and my MOH. She completely understood my vision and our hair and makeup looked beautiful in the photos. I wish I could give 5 stars but my updo did fall out a little and we were running a bit behind schedule. In the end, we ended up having enough time for photos but it added a bit of stress. Magda is not the most calming presence (if that matters to you) but she is very good at what she does! And I really appreciated that she didn't require a minimum number of people. I would recommend her services to any bride who wants to look sophisticated, classic, and beautiful on her wedding day.

Magda truly knocked it out of the park with my hair and makeup. My wedding was outdoors in a garden and I was going with a romantic, vintage look. I don’t generally wear a lot of makeup, and I have very curly hair that I am reluctant to let anyone else touch. But Magda worked wonders on both fronts. She gave my makeup a soft, natural look that didn’t look overly done but was enough for the photos to pop, and stood up well to the long humid summer day. And my hair was amazing! She loosened my curls in a way that I’d never seen before, pinned them up loosely with a gorgeous swooping side part, and found just the right way to use a beautiful large silk flower that I’d bought in place of a veil. I knew Magda would be great to work with because she did my sister’s wedding, too, and created a fabulous look for me around a bright lipstick that I’d picked out. She’s fun and upbeat and did a wonderful job with my mother and sisters, too. I recommend her highly!

Magda does exquisite work with hair and make-up. She makes it very natural but elegant. She comes to you wherever you are getting ready. She does a fantastic job, I would just say you definitely pay for it. If you have seen her work at a wedding or even online I would say hire her and don't even do the trial. Only do the trial if you have never seen her work or you are going to try on your dress with the hair and make-up done. She'll do a fantastic job even without the trial. She will also tell you like it is.

Magda is truly amazing at her craft!! She has years of experience and it is evident! I had 8 bridesmaids plus myself that needed hair undoes and Magda did it all herself and in a timely manner!! Magda took her time asking and clarifying with each girl what they wanted and any Pinterest picture shown to Magda , she did effortlessly! The girls including myself were SO happy with how their hair looked and it lasted ALL night! Magda will give you her honest opinion on how she thinks hairstyles will look, and although it may be brutally honest, I trust her opinion. Her website showcases her work and I can attest that you will not have to worry seeing any "prom like" hairstyles, all her undoes were trendy and beautiful! I was so happy with my hair and makeup! The airbrushing of the makeup was the best thing I could have ever done- it makes your skin look flawless- and it doesnt feel like you have makup on all! My only gripe --- is Magda had a lot of hair and makeup to do- probably about 10 hair and 5 makeup- including me the bride - my ceremony started at 11- she assured me that her starting at 6:00 was enough time becuase she was bringing an assistant- - she did not bring an assistant with her- and i was late!!! my guests waited for a little while- and i had to wind up taking pictures during my cocktail hour instead of before the wedding as I had planned- but it could have been worse! looking beautiful was worth it! Magda did both hair & makeup for myself, my bridesmaids, and my mother. She arrived on time and got right to work and allowed herself more than enough time to finish all of the services without rushing or slacking in her work. Everyone's hair looked beautiful and stayed put through the entire day and night and even through til the next morning, and the makeup looked fantastic and lasted without needing any touchups through 5 hours of dancing and sweating and having a good time. When I went for my initial trial with Magda I was unhappy with my makeup. The second time around I told her exactly what I wanted, something that I was unsure of the first time, and she did a beautiful job of making me up to look even more glamorous and elegant than I had imagined.

I shopped around for hair and makeup services that would travel to me the day of my wedding for quite a few months before I decided to go with Magda. Her prices were comparable to others and in some cases considerably less expensive, but the work she did was fantastic. I would highly recommend her, but I will warn that she does have somewhat of what I would call a "strong personality." She made remarks and the way that she explained or said things may have come across wrong to some people but I recognized it as her just being very serious about her work, and she definitely is. I know that there have been other brides who have commented about the same thing, as her maybe coming across as not very personable but like I said I interpreted it as her just taking her work very seriously and wanting to educate her clients. During my trials Magda definitely educated me on a few things and explained to me what I need to do and not do to keep my skin looking nice and the methods that she uses to apply makeup and such. It is good advice, too, something that I would not have thought much about.

Anyway I really loved the work that Magda did and am so happy that I went with her for my hair and makeup for my wedding. I am very pleased with the results and would use her again!

Magda does Make-up Magic!
Any other issue is beside that point. If you have additional concerns- and there might be some- I recommend you use your time and energy to deal with them and concentrate on the results. Keep that in mind as you read below.
Originally my regular stylist was going to do my wedding. We did a trial and took pictures but events kept her from being able to be there the big day. So thats why I hired Magda's Designs on (relatively) short notice. My hair was done by another beautician, Netia, working with Magda. I had brought photos of myself done the way I liked to the trial. They said it was my time to "play" but it didn't feel like fun. The hair stylist came a bit late, seemed rushed and not focused. I couldn't seem to impress upon her what I wanted. I just didn't have the energy to keep correcting her details and decided accepting a final version was on me and I could live with it.

I had not intended to hire anyone for make-up but changed my mind while booking for the hair styling. Magda did my make-up. She asked about what effect I wanted and delivered it! If I could, I would put that last sentence in intalics. I wanted to look glowing not glam -but I bet if I told her my dream was to be some Kardashian-like creature she would have made me just as pleased. She is very self-confident, she listens and then gets to work. The day of the wedding she also did my Mom's make-up and it was just right; my Mom's a natural beauty and the make-up just let her shine.

I also booked at the salon in the same building and had Magda give my mother a facial. She also did an especially careful facial for me. Magda does "sell" while she works, so be prepared. You are hiring her for her make-up skills and she has them.

The "day of" the hair stylist did seem rushed but my MOH was late so I take that into account. There did not seem to be any cushion in her schedule, something I noticed when Netia was late to my trial. Nedia did my MOH, then my BM, then me. The results weren't what we had in mind but there did not seem to be any time to stop and fix things. We were told we looked beautiful.

I wish I could review the hair and make-up seperately. The hair stylist is just a less focused person who you need to engage. I could have said I wanted changes, so ask for more time then you should need or that won't be an option.

Magda did hair for my bridesmaids and 2 relatives who did not speak english well. She did beautiful hair for all of the bridesmaids, but had a little difficulty with one of the ladies. She had no patience and was rudely rolling her eyes at the other girls in the room. Not very professional. It did not help to have Magda acting like this when it's already a stressful morning for the bride.

I used Magda for my wedding on 10/2/10. She does awesome work! I had one make-up trial done and loved it - it was done the same way on my wedding day. I also had two hair trials (because I changed my mind after the first one). She traveled to my hotel on my wedding day, on time, and did make-up for me, my mom, and two bridesmaids. She also did hair for me, two bridesmaids and a touch-up on my mom. She did not need an assistant. The services are pricey - but well worth it for such a big day. She really knows what looks best on you and what will photograph the best. The makeup and hair styles lasted from early morning to the after party. The hair & make-up was very natural, pretty, and we all looked like ourselves - not too overdone. She listened to all the girl's concerns and what they wanted. I would definitely recommend her to anyone.

Magda did mine and my maid of honor's hair on my wedding day, and in both cases, our hair was beautiful. She did a great job, working thoughtfully on our overall look and making sure we liked the way it was done. The first time I went to meet Magda, when planning the wedding, she did not show up and emailed me there was an emergency, which was unfortunate and I understood. The second time she was late, because of traffic, and this frustrated me because I left work early to meet her. And on the wedding morning she was again late, because of navigation issues. I mention this because she was 0/3 on timeliness, and it worried me that she might not show up at all on each occasion! Her work is good though, and she is a competent stylist and nice person.

My hair lasted most of the night and so did the girls but unfortunately, her attitude and demeanor to the bridesmaids and especially my mother on the wedding day was unacceptable. I would not recommend having her around the morning of your wedding day, there are other people that do great work.
