Judy and Edith work so well together! In my trial appointment, it was easy to tell that they’ve been working together for a while because they were so in sync!! On top of that, both ladies have such positive attitudes, which is great for a stressed bride. The moments leading up to my wedding were very hectic. I was rushing back and forth between my venue and our air bnb, and it was raining. I even got into an argument with my father while having my makeup done, and Judy was wonderful in helping me calm back down. I also had a bridesmaid who is blind, and these ladies were so wonderful in accommodating her, even helping her to get dressed when I unexpectedly had to leave. I 100% recommend Madame Makeup on Location. They made us look so beautiful and bring such a wonderful atmosphere.

I've had the opportunity to work with several of their make up and hair stylists through various experiences during the wedding planning season, and they do a fantastic job each and every time. I am so glad I booked Madame Makeup and Hair.
They came highly recommended by my wedding planner (Nancy Hernandez, who is awesome). I am fairly clumsy with makeup and hair, and Nancy is awesome, so I went with her recommendation.
In the time I booked MM, my fiance and I moved cross country and I started a new job, so I didn't really have the time or energy to arrange a trial. I eventually did (about 2 days before our wedding), and was gobsmacked by how much I liked both of them. I have thick hair with fine strands that never works with styling, and somehow Leslie gave me volume and body with my updo. Liz did a great job at giving me both full coverage and natural makeup. Not only that, but the bridesmaids and the moms all had different types of hair textures and skin concerns, and they adeptly worked at giving everyone a style that made them feel beautiful. I am a fan!

The Best Hair and Makeup! Very Talented Artists
We hired Madame Makeup after seeing their wonderful work on their website and facebook portfolios. Roxy did an AMAZING job with our hair. We all LOVED our hairstyles. I told her that I had an extremely long and heavy veil, she made sure that my hairstyle was able to hold securely and she was kind enough to show us how to remove the veil without ruining the hairstyle. Marisa did a SUPER job on our makeup! She made our 72 year old mom look 30 years younger and we all felt just absolutely beautiful for our special event. From 4pm to midnight our makeup looked fresh. We had unfortunate weather and it rained on our outdoor ceremony. Through rain, sweat and tears, we looked beautiful all night! These girls are just amazing!!! They were also fun and friendly to work with. It made 5 hours of getting ready fun. I highly recommend them!

I've never looked better!
I've always had a bit of a self-esteem issue so the days leading up to my wedding I was worried about how I was going to look in the pictures. Well let me tell you, after I was done getting my hair and make-up done and Madame Make-up and Hair all those worries were gone!
Beth worked on my hair and Esme did my make-up and they both did such an amazing job that I couldn't stop staring at myself.
They took such pride in their work and were so friendly that I was able to just relax during the whole process. It really felt like they wanted me to look as beautiful as I have always wanted.
I would highly recommend anyone to get there hair and makeup done here.

The beauty squad was super efficient completing 11 hair styles in exactly four hours, and all my bridesmaids were super happy with the result. The team came to us at our hotel suite, and they made the getting ready process really fun. My bridesmaids, my mom, my mother-in-law, and I got our hair and makeup done at Madame Makeup before my wedding. They did such an amazing job and, despite standing for hours taking photos in the July heat, my hair and makeup lasted through the entire reception! Their hair stylists and makeup artists were great at listening and understanding the look I wanted for the day. The salon is so comfortable and spacious, and my bridesmaids and I were even able to play our own music while we were waiting for everyone to finish. My bridesmaids and I are still getting so many compliments on our hair and makeup from my wedding!

I hired Madame hair and makeup for my wedding on 23 September to do myself and my MOH's hair. Beth arrived at our house and we couldn't have been more lucky to have her. My MOH was worried her hair would be too short for the design she wanted but Beth made it work beautifully and was able to incorporate some floral pins she wanted to add last minute. For my hair, I had a new headpiece since my trial run that I wanted to add and was concerned it wouldn't work out. After some tweaking beforehand Beth got to use my headpiece and not only did the style come out beautifully but my long half up half down curls stayed the ENTIRE NIGHT!! Beth made the entire experience great and I highly recommend requesting her from Madame hair and makeup for any formal event you have coming up. Thank you Beth!!

From my trial, my bridals, and the day of, Madame Make-up & Hair was fabulous. They took pictures of my trials to reference every time I came back. They talked to me to get an exact idea of what I wanted and if I wanted to change anything. The staff was always very friendly and polite. The day of they arrived early and were did my four bridesmaids, MOB, MOG, and my hair and makeup done incredibly fast! They all came out really good! I scheduled my trial and as someone who doesn't hardly wear makeup my only request was to still look like me but a naturally enhanced me, and Elizabeth hit it out of the park! I booked Madame Make-up & Hair on the same day (onsite makeup 4 bridesmaids, myself, and 2 - moms)! I can't wait to see my bridal party all done up for the big day because if its any indication with how flawless my look was during the trial I will be over the moon excited. Thank you Elizabeth!
Fast forward to wedding.....everything went smoothly. Due to an emergency my original make up artist wasn't able to make the event but she quickly assigned another awesome technician in her place and we never missed a beat! Marisa did her thang!! She took care of me, my mom, mother in law, and sister, and we all looked amazing. I can't say enough about Marisa, and Elizabeth's professionalism, customer service, and overall artistry. They treat each person like a VIP and actually listen to what you want and they take it and run with it. I'm not a huge make up person so let's just say people that have photos of me on my special day will be savoring those for years to come and so will I!!! I found Madame Make-up & Hair last minute and quickly scheduled a trial right before my bridals. I loved the results so much, that I booked them for the wedding and also requested services for Bridal portraits, that were to take place only a few days later. They even met me at 5:00 in the morning to make sure I was ready in time for my Bridal Shoot. The day of the wedding, they were on time, super friendly, professional, highly experienced, and I think all of my girls loved their hair and make-up. I had the same hair stylist for all services, but my make-up artist was unable to make the wedding day, unexpectedly. However, they sent another artist who was exceptional and I did not ever feel worried or concerned about the quality of work they I would receive. They did an absolutely beautiful job and I highly recommend them!

I live outside of San Antonio and was not able to do a hair trial with them before I booked them for the wedding (I only used them for my hair, not makeup). I basically thought I wanted to something simple and that most people would be able to get it done easily, so i just wanted until the day of the wedding to have my hair done for the first time by them. Not my brightest thought.
The wedding was 30 min outside of San Antonio. Leslie, the girl they sent was AMAZING. I was seriously blown away by all the different styles she did on each of my bridesmaids (I let them each pic how they wanted their hair). I showed her a few pictures of what I wanted ( "I like this part in pic 1, and that part in pic2, with the overall style of pic 3"), and I LOVED the way she perfectly captured what I wanted.
She arrived on time. Got 5 bridesmaids, 1 mother of the bride, 1 bride and a guest done in the amount of time promised. She was a pleasure to work with. She was focused and to the point, and moved quickly but never seemed rushed.
I cannot express how happy I was to have Leslie do my hair. She really did a fantastic job.

I did my hair and makeup trial there and already scheduled my actual day of there for myself, my maid of honor and my mom. They helped me arrange my veil so I could see how the whole look would go together. They also did my mom's hair and she has extremely short hair but they still managed to make her feel special. I felt amazing and I loved that they were also very clear to take the day, figure out what I liked and what needed to be changed and let them know when I came back. Most of all, they were extremely patient with me considering I had a very busy and cranky toddler with me and I greatly appreciated it.

They work with you regardless of your schedule and are the sweetest girls I have ever worked with, Being new to Texas I thought it was pricey but when I did my research I found that the pricing was average for the area. I had hair and make-up done for my wedding and felt like an absolute princess. If you are getting married or even just wanting to get pictures done or have a special event then this needs to be your go to place. And to top it off my hair and make-up not only survived the heat of an outdoor wedding but lasted all day and night.

We had time before our session so we went to the little Italian restaurant next door and grabbed a bottle of wine. The girls doing our hair did an awesome job and the make up artist's are the bomb!! Great lighting for make up too. Well worth it.

They did a wonderful job! Did hair for eight people (seven bridesmaids and bride) and did an excellent job. We also got make-up for bride & mother-of-the-bride. All was absolutely wonderful! On-time, professional, kind, efficient, and talented! Highly recommended.

Madame Make-Up & Hair did the hair and make-up for myself and my maid of honor for my wedding, and it all turned out even better than I had imagined! Carol did our hair and Bobbie did our make-up. They came to the wedding venue, an hour outside of San Antonio, and both were so good-natured even though it turned out to be a little confusing figuring out where exactly I was on the property. :)
I had an idea for how I wanted my hair based on some photos I'd found on a blog, but when I tried to pull the photos up on my phone to show Carol, the wifi and cell service stopped cooperating and I never could get the photos to load. I gave Carol a very vague verbal description, and holy smokes, it turned out even better than the blog photos!! I'm sort of self-conscious about having up-do's, but the way Carol did it made me look elegant and lovely, and it was great to have my hair off my neck all night. We also let her just go for it with my maid of honor ("something incorporating a braid, maybe," was the direction we gave), and what she did looked wonderful!
Bobbie was also really sweet. It was fun having both of them around helping us get ready. :) I don't wear much make-up normally, so I was a little worried about being too overdone and not looking like myself, but I shouldn't have worried. Bobbie gave me a look that was bright, natural, polished, and perfect for me. Now when I look back at photos I think, "damn! maybe I should wear make-up more often!"...but I guess there's no way I'd ever do it as well as Bobbie did. :)
They were both also really kind and flexible when there were some last-minute styling requests (false eyelashes for mom and other bridesmaids, and curling the hair of my niece). They had time to work it in, so they did, and it made everyone really happy.
I can recommend them both very highly, in terms of talent and creativity! If have only very vague instructions for them, have no fear, you're in good hands.

The ladies at Madame Make-Up & Hair did a fantastic job! Not only did they make my hair and makeup look AMAZING, they also had my bridesmaids looking GORGEOUS! We had everything done at their location because there was a lot of us (2 moms, the bride, 7 bridesmaids, and 2 junior bridesmaids). We brought our own food and drinks and had a blast hanging out there getting everything done for us.

The hair and make-up team that were assigned to me and my girls on my wedding day were great to work with and really paid attention to detail. They made sure that everyone left 100% happy with the outcome of their hair and make-up. Also, every girl's hair and make-up held up the entire day/night. Madame Makeup provided on-site hair and makeup for myself, my mother and mother-in-law, and 6 bridesmaids in my hotel suite on the morning of my wedding. For such a large group, they sent two make up artists and two hair dressers. We all looked wonderful! When they say that their hair and makeup will last 24 hours: they mean it! Not even tears of joy during our first look could smudge my eye makeup (thank goodness!) Beth, who did my hair, was wonderful in making some modifications from my trial. I would use Madame Makeup again if I ever had a fancy event in San Antonio and needed my hair done up.

The hair and make-up artists at Madame Make-Up & Hair are awesome! My make-up stayed lovely for the entire evening, and you couldn't see even the faintest trace of my blemishes. This place is full of awesome staff and skill. The beautician and the hair stylist were so attentive and did amazing work. This place did not try to pressure me into anything I did not want as far as styles go and they were very flexible to notes and modifications. Feels as though you're at your girlfriends place getting your hair and makeup done; that's how friendly and inviting they are. A true value for your buck and just overall awesome!

Our group was a wedding party: bridesmaids, bride, mom's, and extended family members, probably 15 or so ladies (& one kid). We were so worried because the wedding had been moved up a day, but MH&M made sure they could accommodate us. The day of it was raining cats and dogs and they were busy, but Elizabeth made sure she had enough staff and was timely about getting all our hair and make-up done at her beautiful salon in Olmos Park. She took care of our party and many other appointments without making anyone feel rushed.
Beth did my hair, and it was AMAZING. She is very talented with braids in updos! I wish Beth could do my hair everyday.
Elizabeth did my make-up, which included the bright color of my dress, but was also natural enough for a wedding. It was an outdoor wedding (in the rain) and my make-up lasted all night beautifully.
Madam Hair & Make-up is the place to go!!!!!!

Bobbie and Beth did my make-up and hair for my bridals and on my wedding day. They did a fabulous job on me and on my bridesmaids and my mom. Everyone loved my hair and make-up. My husband loved it too because it wasn't caked on and looked natrual. (well as natrual as wearing make-up can look) When I went to saloon for my bridals it was a great experience. Then on the day of they came to my hotel and did just as good of a job there.

I changed my make up and hair company to Madame last minute and am extremely happy I did! Elizabeth did my make up and Beth did my hair and they were both fantastic! I choose Madame Make-up for my hair and make-up. They specialize in weddings and are very good. They go on-site if you prefer, but I chose to go to them. I did not do a consultation before my wedding because I live four hours away from San Antonio. Also, I did not have an exact picture, I told them the look I was going for and they created a great hair-do that lasted 12 hours. Also, Bobby did my make-up which looked amazing ( I do not usually wear a ton of make-up so I did not want it to be too extreme). Everyone came up to me and told how beautiful I looked. My make-up lasted 12 hours easily and through a lot of tears- they use a water sealant that keeps everything in place. It took about 2 hours to get both done. The only draw back was that I was not initially aware about a $30 charge to open on a Sunday until I called to confirm my appointment. Other than that, they were great and easy to work with.

The entire bridal party and I loved our hair and makeup. The team was punctual, easy to work with, and listened to what we all wanted. It's a little more expensive to have the services done on-location but well worth it. My makeup stayed on the entire night and we all loved our fake eyelashes! Beth did a great job on my hair and Elizabeth did a wonderful job on the makeup. I would highly recommend.

I am so happy I went with Madame for my pre-wedding and wedding day hair and makeup. I had my hair and makeup done for my bridal portraits, and it turned out beautifully. On the day of the wedding, my hair lady ended up being about 40 minutes late. Elizabeth was very apologetic and even gave me my day-of hair for free. Now that's great service! Even though she ran late, my bridesmaids and I were all ready on time. Everyone was extremely happy with their hairstyles, and mine also turned out gorgeous. My makeup stayed on all night, and I have never felt so beautiful. Overall, this is a great place to get your wedding hair and makeup done. The ladies are the best! You won't regret it!

The team at Madame Makeup understood the look I wanted for my wedding, and made my vision a reality. I was very happy with how my hair and makeup turned out. I had on location services, and because there were three weddings on my wedding day, some of the team was a little late showing up, but I was ready in time. I wonder if short cuts were taken to get me ready in time as my hair stylist arrived very late and time was running short. My hair started to fall as soon as I started dancing, but while it was still in place, it looked great.

I called Madame Makeup late in the planning process because my original makeup person did not work out at the last minute, and they were still able to accommodate me. They did my sister's and her bridal party's makeup a year prior to my wedding and were fantastic! When I went in for my trial, I had an updo done and a smokey eye. I loved it . When I showed my fiance, he thought it was too much makeup and wanted my hair down or swept but not up (he's use to seeing me with hardly any makeup and my hair down). So on the wedding day, I switched it up with no problem. I loved my side sweep, it stayed in place the entire night ( i have heavy, thick hair and danced a lot!), the makeup was pretty but not too much (my husband loved it!), and it lasted throughout the evening. They also accommodated a large bridal party. Great job! Only thing was they had increased their costs since my sister's wedding but failed to tell me the change in price until 2 weeks before the wedding. My bridesmaids were not too happy because the initial cost I had told them (the price given to me when I booked a few months prior) was different. Not much of a difference, but it was based on principal. Would use them again though; well worth the money!

After reading the reviews online and perusing local wedding magazines, we chose Madame Hair and Makeup. They seemed to have done almost every wedding featured in the magazines. My local hair stylist gave them glowing recommendations as well. They did my hair and makeup along with my two bridesmaids. They were professional and friendly, and all of our hair and makeup turned out wonderfully.

Alexis (sp?) was my hairstylist and Bobbie did my makeup for my wedding a few weeks ago. They were both fantastic! At first I had my mind set on airbrush makeup, and was a bit worried when they only offered traditional. But after the fact I could not be happier with the way my makeup turned out. It stuck to my face through the whole night despite crying and a lot of sweaty dancing!
When I came in for my trial a few weeks before the wedding, it also happened to be the day of my bachelorette party. Instead of wedding makeup, Bobbie did a great party look for me for that night. As talented as she is, I was not worried at all about how my wedding makeup would look a few weeks later. I looked great that night and felt sexy and confident!
Alexis was very patient when the day of the wedding I asked her to do a blowout and a look that was completely different from my hair trial. She did a fantastic job on the spot and I couldn't have been happier with the way my hair looked (and STAYED) that night!
I was hesitant about paying so much to have my hair & makeup done (even though their prices are fairly competitive), but seeing the final product I would not think twice about recommending Madame to anyone I talk to. They were great!

During my trial, they were running quite a bit behind due to a bride having her make up done. Because of the delay in starting my trial, they took off $50 from my trial price, which was very generous of them. Madame Makeup was a great place to have our makeup done for my small bridal party. It was easy and they were attentive to our needs. Unfortunately we finished a bit late and had to make a mad dash to the ceremony. I only wish they would have given us a more accurate timeline to make the day run smoother.

The only thing I wish is that I could've had the same hair dresser for both my bridal portraits and my wedding day. They didn't keep photos of what my hair looked like for my bridal portraits, so the hair dresser for my wedding day had a different photo from my first hair trial when she arrived. I liked working with Madame Hair and Makeup but I think they definitely could work on being more professional. When I went in for my consultation they were on their cell phones and playing with each other's hair, and it left me with a negative impression. These girls did an amazing job with hair and makeup for my daughters wedding. They even did the two year flower girls hair. Came to the venue to work, was on time, great service, and willing to work with our time schedule. The bride did a trial with them and was very happy with their service and the shop. I'm not sure what to say about MM. Let me highlight the positive experiences first. My trial hair and makeup went well to prepare my look for my bridal portraits. I like how the ladies take note and pictures to file for your big day. I have no complaints about the service, all the ladies are polite and informative, and treated my mother and I with respect & courtesy. I loved how my hair and makeup turned out for my wedding and it held up! Esp in this summer heat! My hair was done by Beth and makeup by Bobbie. I love their work and would recommend them.
BUT.....not without saying the-
CONS: On my wedding day, I was told and assured I would have the makeup artists work for us between the hours of 12-4pm. However, both makeup artists were pressed for time to have to be somewhere by 3pm. I wish I would have been told ahead of time that they would not be able to stay and work for us in the time expected instead of telling us right when we got to the venue. I could've investigated another place that would have had that full availability.
I did inform the salon we had 6 ladies getting their makeup done and in essence it only turned out to just be 5. Point being, I felt very let down because I felt like that time should have been reserved for us. I can understand leaving right at 4, but when I saw them start to pack up at 2:45pm and say "sorry, we have another make up session..." you just feel this sense of you're on your own because we need to be somewhere else. My mother was almost missed because of THEIR time conflict. Thank you Genieva for staying to do her makeup. She is 72 years old and not that it matters to Madame Makeup or to anyone else, but it mattered to her & it mattered to me that she also felt special on the wedding day as mother of the bride. Getting makeup done isn't free, we were happy to pay for each girl, we were not looking for a freebee, so why cheat the client of the time they're expecting to have your staff.?. oh well.

I called ahead a we days before my wedding to make sure my insure hair stylist would be able to give me the hair style I wanted which was an a wave or finger wave...The stylists was unable to perform my hair style was unaware of my request and was unable to.perform my hair style....she attempted but failed...in the end ...I ended up with ordinary loose curls....I don't like that look and was going for a vintage 40 look...it looked nice but not what I wanted...I don't blame her....but Madame makeup should have,made sure they sent the right person..

Let me start with the positives:
I had my make up and hair trial and absolutely LOVED both! I felt glamorous and beautiful. My hairstylist was prompt and so sweet!
***After reading so many reviews about not having the same artists as the trial i made sure to verify multiple times:
- time of booking
- week before
-morning of wedding
unfortunately not only was my make up artist almost an hour late the day of, it wasn’t even the same artist. It wouldn’t have been too much of a problem except the makeup was bad. I’m of darker skin tone and was completely “washed out”. My face was obviously lighter than the rest of my body.
A professional should be able to match your tone better.
Because of the fact that the original artist wasn't there without notice, my original run through looked nothing like the final, including the eyeshadow Color and i lost time which is money. The time that went into RE-DOING my foundation cut into photography time with my bridal party to practically none. This was time lost that I paid to the photographer and venue for our wedding.
Edit: I changed the rating slightly bc my MOH and moms make up did look great, and all 3 of our hair remained curled during the humidity and rain

Hair and makeup looked ok, just ok, for everyone. I was thinking they would do something that would be hard for someone without experience to do. I knew we would be outside for about an hour and I specifically asked about the makeup standing up against the heat and sweat. I was told the makeup will stay put for 18 hours, just to have lipstick . Unfortunately, before we ever even made it to the ceremony (right downstairs), let alone outside, I was having to get black from underneath and on top of the eyes of 3 of my girls. For a total of about $550 for hair, $355 for makeup, plus me having to pay for parking, I just don't think it was worth it.
