M.A. Photography and Renee were absolutely fantastic. We hired M.A. Photography for our engagement pictures and are very happy with the results. Renee was very knowledgeable about all kinds of photography which was impressive. He was responsive, professional, and very easy to work with. Friends and family have been asking us who the photographer was after seeing the beautiful pictures, as they would like to book their services too. Me and my fiancé will definitely be giving M.A. Photography a call once our wedding date is set.

My husband and I loved our wedding and engagement photos by Renee! He always responded to us super fast (within a few hours), was very professional, and made us feel very comfortable around him. He took amazing photos that we have all over our home already! We received our wedding photos in just two weeks! He arrived earlier than was scheduled to both shoots and was a huge help on the wedding day! He was more than a photographer, he also helped with a lot of the coordination (talking to the music people, venue staff, etc) and getting people in there place, which was a huge help on that day! He is very talented and made our pictures look super gorgeous! We have received many compliments on our pictures! We would definitely rehire him and plan on getting him for next events in life (pregnancy shoot, kids bday party, etc)!

Renee and his crew were amazing! Very professional and on time. He was very creative at our pre wedding shoot. Pics turned out amazing. I would really recommend him for any events. Renee was a great photographer for our wedding! He was flexible with the time of the ceremony changing, and also still able to fit us in even though I'd originally given him the wrong date! The photos were all of a high quality, nicely edited and posted online for us to view - and they came back to us very quickly as well. Renee always responded to our texts and emails very quickly. He was also able to work to our somewhat limited budget, but still do a fantastic and professional job. Happy to recommend him to anyone!

Renee is awesome! We were able to schedule a photo shoot super last-minute and he was very responsive and flexible. He was also extremely good at putting us at ease and capturing those candid moments that are so hard to get when you know you're being photographed. I was impressed how quick he was at delivering the photos and, on top of everything, he was available for additional professional help afterwards.

Your wedding day is one lifetime event that can never be repeated. Finding the right photographer to capture every moment in time is incredibly stressful. What can I say, we love Renee and the team. Promptness was so important to us because we were on a tight schedule.
The entire team of 4 were early and made suggestions to allow our day to run smoothly and the photos and video are so gorgeous. Renee suggested the photography be taken on film instead of digital, so we agreed and we are so happy we did. We received our wedding album this week and OMG the photos on film just pop off the pages. Our video is just Awesome. We are so glad we chose M.A. Photography. We honestly thought our $5000 budget for photo and video would not yield such awesome results. But here we are with absolutely great memories. We definitely recommend this vendor!

This was the vendor of ALL my vendors that I'm most impressed with. First, Renee was always super responsive with any questions I had and the price was great for what was provided.

And now for the day of the wedding. Renee and his team arrived 20 minutes before the call time of 1pm. It was him and 3 other people, with 2 on video and 2 on the camera. They were very thorough in setting up, and covering me and the groom getting ready in the different locations. Renee knew what he was doing and was efficient in delegating his team to cover various parts of the hotel to make sure we have full coverage of the every aspect of event.
They were the first to arrive and last to leave (around 11pm).

The best part was turnaround time. The actually sent us a teaser of about 10 pics the NEXT DAY and within 10 business days, we got all the photos in a download. They really covered everything! There was a lot of photos of me making a weird face or something because I guess that's how I look when I'm talking emotionally, but, they took SO MANY photos that there were still a lot of beautiful pics after I take out all the ones where I looked weird.

I'm just so impressed at how thorough they were. They definitely captured every moment that was even slightly important in the wedding.

We hired Renee semi last minute to shoot our small backyard wedding and we could not be more pleased with the results. Renee and the videographer he worked with, Mario, are a friendly, punctual, exceptionally skilled, and thorough pair. Renee caught all of the most special moments and was flexible when we wanted to take specific/atypical shots. He is also skilled at being mindful of the time to ensure that things move along nicely. He had some really creative and unique ideas as well, like an entire group shot of everyone at the wedding. He got back to us really quickly with the 1100 photos to choose from! Thank you for capturing our special day exactly how we remember it!

I am so glad that Renee was my photographer for my wedding! He was so professional, was always on time, and made my husband and I feel very comfortable. We weren't sure what to expect when we did our engagement session, but Renee had so many great ideas and we had such a great time doing it. Renne was a great find in Los Angeles . We had spent hours calling different places asking for quotes and time after time we were quoted thousands of dollars , intill finally I called a listing and Renne answered the phone. Planning a wedding has definitely had its ups and downs. One of the things that was stressing me out the most was the photography because it was just soooo expensive and I was working with a very strict budget. Thankfully M.A. Photography walked into my life. He definitely helped us out with great pricing and made us feel very comfortable.

We took our engagement pictures and we definitely felt awkward at first but he was just a sweet heart and made us feel like we had been friends for a very long time. It was so much fun doing our engagement photos...we had our daughter who doesn't really do good in the mornings...but M.A. Photography just made best friends with our daughter and by the end of the shoot she didn't wanna stop. It was a long day of events and celebration and MA Photography did a wonderful job snapping away on all of the important moments of us, the wedding party, and our guests. Renee is artistic photographer. If you allow him he will deliver a modern and artistic product. I feel that if I would have provided him with a little more flexibility I would have gotten even more for my money. The pictures were plentiful but yet I feel that there are at least two picture I wish I had and didn't get. Same thing in regards to the edited video. Although it was fantastic, better quality then I could have ask for I feel there are a few people that were there I wish would have been part of the edited version. Maybe if he would have offer to meet with us I could have better chosen whom or what to edit out of my final product. I was beautiful don't get me wrong. I do love it. I will treasure it always. Update 10/15/17. I’m adding an update because unfortunately we’re still waiting on the video and album, just shy of 14 months after the wedding. We saw the nice digital photos, and got the lovely print a few months ago, but I wasn’t expecting to wait this long for the album and video.
Original Post: Renee is amazing. I took note of his emails, and decided one day during lunch to look at the website. I saw his online portfolio, and saw that he was a Veteran. Then, I saw great, great reviews on weddingwire.com, and I was sold (also we got a great price for what we wanted). My husband and I are also both Veterans, and our wedding was patriotic themed at a military installation, so I knew he would understand what we wanted. He got everyone to do great photos, and he always had a smile on his face. I'm so glad I chose Renee and M.A. Photography!

Although I spoke with and hired Renee, he was not the one who took my photos. He never told me he would be contracting someone else out for the job (nor did it say that it was a possibility in my contract) however I had very little choice when it was my wedding day and my photographer was someone else. I think the person he contracted out was a photography student, he had no knowledge of posing or lighting, and our photos were mediocre. It took 6 months and a threat of legal action to actually receive our photos. Like I stated previously, the photos weren't horrible, but they could have been a lot better. Our wedding was 7/16/16 and we are still waiting on the wedding album that we have paid for. Although he is quick to respond to my requested status updates (He never contacts me with updates, I ALWAYS have to be the one to contact him) he keeps giving me terrible excuses as to why our album is delayed. His most recent excuse is that because my husband and I are a mixed race couple, the images need to be heavily edited. I'm sure if he contacted a better photographer to take our photos, this wouldn't be such an issue in the first place. Please save yourself the headache and do NOT hire him. I'm baffled by the amount of positive reviews, because my experience has been the opposite.

As of 12/2017 we still have no video DVD to show our family. Email after email of excuse and delay. Renee left the company so go elsewhere. Still waiting to have our wedding albums and videos delivered to us after over a year. Raw images and video were sent to us at least. As long as you don't mind showing your family what your wedding looked like from your phone/computer and not the professional album you paid for. Great photos and videos were captured but it's sad that I had to go to Target to print the pictures to give my family.

Stay away worst wedding nightmare

I used M.A. photography for my engagement photos, wedding photos and wedding video. The engagement shoot went fine, but the photographer didn’t show up for my wedding. He sent an intern that took awful photos and the videographer never made a video for us and never sent the raw footage or anything! We got totally ripped off and have received excuse after excuse of why they still haven’t sent a video. It’s been over 2 years since my wedding. No excuse is valid and we never received a refund! Stay away!!!!!

WORST !!

Its been almost 3 years and I did not get my copies. They just postpone it every month with a new deadline. Never happens. I wonder if they even have a copy of it. I'm tired of chasing them.
I am really trying to reach out an attorney. If someone can help me please.

HORRIBLE. UNPROFESSIONAL. SHADY. LIARS. My sister and my girfriend both used M.A Photography for their weddings. I thought it would be fine for mine. I was so wrong. The photographer ended up “calling in sick” on the day of my wedding (8/19/17). Hired a (seemed to be student or very inexperienced) photographer for the day of my wedding. She failed to get any pictures of the groom and groomsmen before the wedding. She didn’t get ANY pictures of me walking down the aisle. I had a Dodgers themed wedding and she didn’t get any pictures of any of the decor I worked so hard to put together. Our pictures were far from what I expected them to be. I was told I would get a 50% refund for the trouble. It has been 6 months and I still have no refund or wedding video. I was promised the video 5 months ago. Now they say it won’t be ready until mid March (if there is even a video!). Every time I ask for status on my check and video, they give me every excuse in the book. “Family death, we were closed, check was sent out 2x (but never received), on vacation, will give you an answer next Tuesday. I’ve Checked MA photography website and they say the will not be taking any new clients for 2018! I paid for a service that was NOT rendered. I would definitely stay away from MA photography.

This photography service is awful! I would not give them the satisfaction of having any stars! My wedding (August 12, 2017) was booked with Renee (who no longer works with them). He was great. However the day of the wedding we had a young lady who had to be told what to do by me. I had to encourage her to take photos up close and not stand in the rear of the room. No photos of my wife walking down the aisle, no photos of me walking down the aisle. Regardless we were moved forward with the photos and ordered our DVD and album. All we have to do is wait now for the finished product right? In three (3) months I will celebrate my one (1) year anniversary and still no DVD or album. Can you spell A-T-T-O-R-N-E-Y?
