I was so nervous about finding a DJ for my Sept. 2022 wedding after I’d seen several DJ’s at different weddings really bring the mood down or make guests feel awkward or embarrassed or make playlist choices that made it hard to want to stay on the dance floor. I could not have gotten luckier finding GEMMA! From our cocktail hour to our dinner music to the all-important DANCING music, Gemma couldn’t have been more helpful and SKILLED helping us put together playlists that felt so “us” and perfectly matched the vibe of our wedding (and definitely elevated the vibe!) She truly went above and beyond, even helping me find the most beautiful instrumental version of my dream processional song, that I’d all but given up on after searching for and not being able to find anywhere. Her energy was unmatchabley warm and supportive while working with her beforehand and at our wedding, she was everything I’d hoped for and more! She was able to match and flow with the energy of our wedding and our guests, from the beginning of the night when there were mostly just kiddos on the dance floor, into the last couple hours when my husband and I and our friends made our way onto the dance floor, all the while keeping the energy comfortable and fun and unique to our wedding. She’s all of the fun and cute without any of the DJ awkwardness that you sometimes see at weddings. Trust me, hire her. Gemma is who you want in charge of your music on this important day! -

My wife and I got married at Appleford on April 10th and Luvdup DJs was our choice of DJ. We initially met Gemma at an open house at Appleford, and we immediately knew that we were going with them as our vendor.
Shortly after they had sent us a spreadsheet to fill out that which helped guide us into planning and thinking about the music for the event in an organized manner. We had a phone call or two with Gemma and then were assigned Amber as our DJ.
We had our first conversation with Amber around 1 month from the date and my wife and I felt that she understood what we were going for. She seems like a great person, but unfortunately she ended up sick shortly before the wedding and we had to change DJs.
Kelton had then been assigned to us. We learned that Gemma and him are married and that made us feel at ease because we felt he would have the experience to be able to jump in with short notice. We did speak with him and he was very prepared. Him and Amber had talked about the event and after speaking with him we knew he would do a great job
When the day came Kelton did an excellent job. We had some slightly tricky timing things during the ceremony and he knocked it out of the park. The music and energy was perfect and we loved his energy. He was very prepared and very friendly.
We really enjoyed our wedding and Kelton did a great job of facilitating a fun atmosphere for us. Thank you Kelton! -

Hiring LuvdUp to DJ for our wedding was 1000% the right decision. As someone who is passionate about all things music and curating playlists, I was instantly impressed and confident that LuvdUp was the right company for our wedding day when speaking with Gemma for the first time. They were professional, cordial, and detail-oriented throughout the whole planning process to ensure they had everything covered from the ceremony through reception. We had DJ Trev for our big day, and would highly recommend him as well!! He did an amazing job of facilitating the perfect mood from pre-ceremony, to cocktail hour, to dinner, to the reception. He kept the MC-ing to mainly just intros and key moments which was exactly what we wanted. The dance floor was packed the whole night and we got a lot of compliments from our guest. Trev did a thoughtful job of incorporating our inspiration playlists while keeping things fresh with additional tracks that met the mood. We would recommend LuvdUp to anyone, especially couples who care about good music!! -

Hire Luv'd Up for your wedding!
Luvdup is the best, and Kelton is the best! We loved talking to Gemma on our intro call, and were so grateful to have Kelton DJ our wedding.
Starting with our planning call it was clear we were in great hands with Kelton, who helped us figure out the finer details of our plan, and made a couple of recommendations that helped us make the day even better.
On the day he showed up early to make sure things were set up properly (something our venue and planner were particularly appreciative of), ran the mics for the ceremony which went off without a hitch (except for the obligatory sirens during our vows), and played amazing music all night long. We had assembled hours and hours of playlists — it felt like Kelton intuited all of the important songs and played them at the right time — everything was flawless.
Most importantly, it felt like Kelton loved being a part of our day — chatting with us and the other guests and vendors, taking photos and videos. He kept the good vibes going all night. Thank you Kelton and Luvdup! -

The ENTIRE night...we kept hearing "Your DJ is so fun!!!" and we could not agree more! Gemma and Luv'dup DJs was so easy, fun, and stress-free to work with from the very beginning. We were assured that the music we wanted to play would be played, that they had sound/mics/audio/lights all under control, and that Gemma would dance the night away with us. We opted to do the uplighting package, and that was worth every penny too. The whole Luv'dup team was so communicative and professional throughout the entire planning process.
We wanted a fun, upbeat feeling for cocktail hour and dinner, and a dance floor that was packed the whole night. Gemma absolutely delivered both, and she read the room SO perfectly to keep playing songs that the crowd would love dancing and singing to. I know I'm biased, but I truly don't think I have never seen a dance floor so crowded and happy at a wedding. We have Gemma and Luv'dup to thank for curating the perfect, joyful party.
We could not recommend Luv'dup DJs and Gemma more...especially if you are getting married at Curtis Arboretum! -

Gemma was the best MC we could have asked for! She spun all the right tunes at all the right times and guaranteed that our guests had a blast. On the technical side of things, she managed the audio equipment for the instrumentalists at our ceremony, configured the A/V system at our reception (separate location!), set up our photo booth, and worked a film camera (would you believe that she only has two arms?) all while keeping the party kept going! My wife and I didn’t need to lift a finger. And if I haven’t conveyed it already, Gemma is really, really thoughtful. We’re super lucky for her to have been at our wedding. -

When we married somewhat late in life we found our 125 wedding guests could be divided pretty evenly into groups in their 20s, their 50s and their 80s. As we watched Ty keeping our dance floor full and enthusiastically dancing despite the different musical tastes we knew we had a very talented DJ on our side. Even more so when he succeeded in weaving all our requested songs into the evenings playlist. His thorough preparation ahead of time and attention to pacing and detail during our reception kept the night flowing without anyone being conscious of how expertly they were being shepherded through the night we had planned for them. To our guests it seemed like things just kept working out like magic. He did a fantastic job for us. We highly recommend him. -

Luvdup is the only DJ you should use for your wedding. They are the best and have such a good vibe in planning and on the dancefloor. Kelton and the whole team were so easy to work and communicate with, Kelton nailed our vision for the music while making sure he got people on the dance floor. Several people have messaged us asking for our DJ and for the music we played at the wedding. He made announcements when we needed him to without doing too much like other DJs we have experienced. More than all of that, we both liked Kelton personally and appreciated his enthusiasm and attitude on the day -- he helped make it a wonderful and (importantly) an easy day. The lights were so good and fun for the dance floor, the mic set up for ceremony and speeches was easy, uncomplicated, and never an issue. We had such a specific vibe and music we wanted, which was different than most wedding we had been to, and Kelton nailed all night, from the ceremony to cocktail hour, and dinner and dancing. If you have distinct music tastes and you want someone to make sure all the sound is taken care of without any worry, Luvdup DJs is the answer.
We also used their Super 8 videography, and we can't wait to see it. Because of that, Kelton was with us for so much of the day. He got some incredible shots of us and it's something we are going to treasure for a long time. -

DJ Trevor did a stellar job at our wedding! He met with us in advance to get a feel for our music interest for the evening and the flow of the ceremony and reception. It was clear from our one call that he loves what he does. On the day of the wedding, Trev arrived well ahead of time to setup and the sound and music flowed wonderfully from the ceremony, to cocktail hour, to the reception. We were adamant about not playing typical wedding songs and he nailed it covering a variety of music including house, latin, hip hop, R&B and funk! We were impressed that he was able to mix just about every song on our "must play" list. Thank you Trevor! -

We were lucky enough to have Ty from Luv’d Up DJs DJ our wedding and we cannot say enough good things, but we will try!
First, we think Ty did an amazing job at paying attention to and matching the energy throughout the night and our dance floor was full the entire time! Every guest enjoyed themselves no matter their age and everything flowed well across many genres and decades. We received many wonderful compliments about how fun our reception was and we attribute that to Ty and his work!
Ty is very knowledgeable and helped us plan the music for a wedding for the first (and last :)) time. He also brings a very calm and reassuring energy to an exciting and nerve-wracking day and we really appreciated this.

Where do I start with Gemma? She is just a powerful, lovely, friendly force to be reckoned with! Luv'd Up DJs was AMAZING to work with. Gemma has an incredible team, and they were a joy and pleasure to communicate with from the beginning. They were easy to coordinate with from start to finish, and made it so simple to plan and structure our party--from the full night's schedule to planning details to picking our songs. They gave us great advice but also gave us so much space and autonomy to make everything how we wanted it to turn out.
We have to especially give a massive shoutout to Ty Russell. He was our DJ the night of the party, and was absolutely the BEST. He had such a calm presence which helped on a hectic day, and he helped us move the evening along to make sure we got to everything we wanted to do. He was so supportive of and understood our vision and vibe when planning, and he was extremely culturally aware. He understood and executed on weaving together our Persian and Jewish cultures and perfectly balanced Persian, Jewish, queer, current, and older hits throughout the night. He also played all of our must-plays and did an amazing job keeping the energy up.
Sooo many of our friends raved about our DJ and how fun it was. We felt so seen, understood, and celebrated by Ty, Gemma, and Luv'd Up and recommend them 100%. -

Gemma was the best wedding DJ we could ever have asked for! We heard about her as a recommendation from our venue (Curtis Arboretum) which she is very familiar with. She invited me to see her DJ a set and she was dancing and singing with everyone.
We knew she would be perfect.
She is very communicative and played music that got all ages on the dance floor. She plays all genres and you can tell she really loves each event she is a part of. I had multiple guests come up and tell me how much they enjoyed her DJ'ing.
With her services, lighting can be included as well as a wonderful pink photobooth. She also has vintage photography and videography services available.
She even saved the day and had a microphone for us to use during our ceremony when we found out we did not have one. At the end of the event, we felt like we were saying goodbye to a friend we had known for a long time! -

Where to start?!? The wedding process can be so insanely stressful, especially under the pressure of making sure you have the best vendors to fit your needs. As someone who absolutely loves music, finding the best person that understood the range of music and vibes I was looking for was a MUST. And WOW did I get so insanely lucky when I found Gemma! From our initial phone call, I knew Gemma was the person for my wedding. I instantly felt connected to her and the. finding out her love for Taylor Swift, it was a done deal. Throughout the entirety of our wedding planning process, Gemma was there to help and offer advice that went beyond DJ-ing. Come the day of our wedding, I knew I didn't have to stress about anything as Gemma was there to help and ease my nerves. Throughout the night, Gemma kept the vibes up and the dance floor full! I received multiple compliments about the range of music played and how there was something for everyone.
I cannot recommend Gemma enough. Working with Gemma and allowing her to be part of such an important aspect of your big day, may be your best decision on your wedding day, obviously after saying "i do" to your partner!🩷 -

We loved having Gemma as the DJ for our wedding! She was an expert at acting as our announcer and MC for our ceremony, speeches, dances, cake cutting and all of the important events throughout the evening, and everyone was on the dance floor all night! She did a great job at incorporating so many of our suggested songs we had sent to her prior to our big day, and she also played so many other good party songs that fit our crowd perfectly. Everything was also so seamlessly transitioned so there was nonstop dancing and partying which is exactly what we wanted for our reception.
In addition to providing the amazing music during our wedding, Gemma was also extremely organized and responsive during our wedding planning process. Her coordination and meetings before our wedding helped to ensure that we had an amazing event and she was able to answer all of our questions so we knew everything would run smoothly. We are so glad we went with her as our DJ to provide the entertainment and celebration ambiance that everyone enjoyed! -

I found Gemma connected with my photographer on instagram and knew immediately that she would be perfect for our dance-party-centric reception in the Bok gymnasium. When we coordinated on the phone prior to the event, I appreciated her wise but positive reframing about the need for certain songs to get good pictures of the range of guests (e.g., fine, fine, play Twist and Shout if you muuuuust. : )). She was just like the dream I had of her from Instagram (sort of kidding, ;) ) and not only did everything go smoothly from the planned out stuff, she kept the energy going on the fly. Late in the night, we consulted and rescued a couple who had finally gotten to the dance floor due to the Phillies anthem-- one partner threatened to leave the floor. Quick thinking on her feet and they were back at it. Also, she's fun and stylish and adds to the ambiance. Love that she's a women-owned and run company. When the time came to book a DJ for our wedding, Luv’d Up DJs/Gemma was the first (and only) person we needed to contact. Our wedding was DJ’d by Ty, who was AMAZING–we love Ty!! Ty answered our many logistical questions, handled custom song cuts for our processional, and took our extensive playlists of songs to play (and to NOT play) into account throughout the evening. He anticipated our concerns and addressed them before we even realized what was going on during the day of. Our wedding day ran very smoothly. Ty seamlessly moved between 3 different areas over the course of our wedding, and EVERYONE was out on the dance floor at the reception! Our music taste is a little all over the place, and Ty successfully incorporated oldies, jazz, 2010 high school dance hits, and Taylor Swift into our dance floor with perfect flow. We also rented uplights through Luv’d Up DJs, which added a cozy and elegant touch to our event space and took everything up to the next level.
We love Ty, Gemma, and Luv’d Up DJs and could not recommend anyone more! Their support with timeline, ideas, and making your day flow smoothly is due to their exceptional talent and care. They are some of the best people you ever meet, who will hype you and your new spouse up while keeping you grounded if stressful moments arise–but let’s be real, you’d never know about some stressful moments because they would have handled it for you.
Book Luv’d Up DJs and Ty, you will not be disappointed!

We just had our wedding last weekend and Kelton DJ'd - it was awesome! Both Kelton and Gemma were really responsive leading up to the wedding, which was really helpful. Kelton was really organized and did so much to help make sure the day and night went smoothly from introductions to speeches and dances. The photobooth was a huge hit (and Kelton made sure everyone knew how to use it!) and the music was great all night, from cocktail hour to dancing! Would definitely recommend!! -

Gemma killed the game for our wedding from start to finish. She knows what she’s doing and she’s GOOD at it. She walked us through curating a playlist to maximize ~vibes~ for the perfect night. It unfortunately rained on our wedding day so we had to make a last minute pivot inside, but everything played out perfectly because of Gemma! She helped us by accommodating with lighting for an inside reception. Folks were on the dance floor for the entire duration of our reception which is exactly what we wanted! If there were an option to give Gemma and her team at Luvdup DJs 100 stars, we would not hesitate! My partner and I are quite thorough and detail-oriented clients, and from the get-go, Gemma embraced our needs with extraordinary patience and high levels of responsiveness.
Gemma was not just our DJ but became a guide, navigating us through every minute of the reception, accommodating very last-minute changes (like, hey we're walking into the reception in 30 seconds last minute...) and even sprinkling in honeymoon recommendations for our trip to Australia!
Diving into the music, it was nothing short of a perfect. The dance floor was packed from the first to last song, which to us is the hallmark of a fun wedding. Despite the diverse musical tastes my partner and I hold, Gemma created a mix that was nothing short of exactly what we wanted, making sure we both heard our favorite songs while also doing a great job of reading the room and giving our guests what they wanted to hear.

Ty from Luvdup DJs was our number one vendor by far! He truly stepped up to the plate and did everything we asked for and more. Over multiple phone calls he helped us develop a plan for the kind of music we wanted to play. Then he curated playlists for each portion of the evening and shared them with us, months in advance of our big day. We listened to them over the weeks leading up to the wedding and removed any songs we didn’t like and added any more that came to mind based on his very helpful suggestions. Finally, at our dinner and on the dance floor, it was so joyful for us to hear and dance to exclusively songs we had handpicked with Ty’s expert help.
His demeanor at the event was so chill and supportive, reading our introduction exactly as we had written it and being willing to go with the flow when we changed the timing of our parent dances. He always managed to follow each moment with the perfect next song. We couldn’t recommend Ty and more and we really hope to have a reason to hire him as a DJ again one day!
Also, we got the photo booth through LuvDup DJ and it was a total hit and definitely worth it. It was much more affordable to rent through them than through our photographer and it ended up allowing guests to get pictures with friends and family that they wouldn’t have had otherwise. Thanks for helping to make our wedding so perfect! -

We can’t say enough nice things about Gemma and our experience with her! She was so kind and always patient with us along the way when we were struggling to figure out what music we wanted for our big day. She provided so many examples for us and really helped us bring our vision to life by outlining our day. A lot of flexibility and coordination happened between her, our photographer and caterer as well as both our busy schedules and we never once worried about a thing! She kept the lines of communication open and easy. She made sure all our key moments during our big day happened as we hoped and the music was great! People were dancing and having an amazing time.
We had a special request for a private last dance (twinkle tree pic) and even though it was past her timeline she stayed with us, brought a personal speaker, and made sure the crowd exited one way so my groom and I could be completely alone for our song. It was the most intimate and personal part of our night and we recommend it to any couple soon to be tying the knot !! -

Absolutely AMAZING DJ! Fun dance party!
HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Gemma is the best DJ around and really brought our reception to life. She personalizes it to the couple and is very communicative before hand what you want for your ceremony and reception (regarding timing, songs, favorite songs, traditions, etc.). She also reads the room super well of what's working and what's not when it comes to keeping the dance floor alive. She also communicated for us with the venue and caterer and took some amazing videos from her perspective of the dance floor, which she sent to me the day after to have as a keepsake. I cannot recommend her enough!
We also had some Jewish wedding traditions and the Hora was EPIC! She really helped create an epic and fun Hora that our guest's are still talking about. 100% recommend Luvdup DJ!!! -

Gemma with loved up DJs was absolutely fabulous! I found her services advertised through Zola and she was within my price range. After doing a little research, I loved that her business is woman, owned and operated – girl power! She sent me an email and a text message right after my initial inquiry so she was super responsive. We set up a time to talk about her services on the phone and after that first conversation, I was sold! As the wedding approached, she sent a detailed spreadsheet where I could view the timeline for the day, upload playlists and specify special songs for the night. She was very flexible and rolled with it when my husband threw in a surprise request for our friend to preform a song for the mother/son dance. The day of the wedding, she was super warm and all-around lovely. she even took time to film a few snippets of the day on her personal camera and got the film developed for us! And most importantly – she had everyone out on the dance floor (as evidence of our photos!) I would 100% recommend Gemma with Luv’d Up DJs! -

He also did a spectacular job emceeing the toasts and announcing the wedding party’s arrival. But what made working with Luvdup so special was the people who were dripping with charisma and who possessed a clear passion for their line of work. These DJs seriously KNOW music and they’re *literally* professionals at getting people moving and grooving on the dance floor. Lastly, I had wanted a “private last dance” at the end of the night and I had envisioned just playing our song out of my phone speakers as not to complicate the logistics of the big day. But Kelton and crew went out of their way to 1. hook up the sound system so we could really enjoy the song and 2. give us privacy as bride and groom to sneak away and have a moment to ourselves before the day wrapped up. y from Luvdup DJs made our wedding reception a success! We took a risk asking to incorporate karaoke into the night, and Ty worked with us to get guest requests beforehand, and went out of his way to figure out a karaoke app to make it feasible. He had great judgement of timing during the reception, kept the karaoke running smoothly, and then had a great mix of crowd pleasing music when we turned to dancing. Booking Luv'd Up DJs was the best decision for our wedding. Gemma's thoroughness made us feel comfortable, and the entire experience was a dream. We interviewed multiple DJs, including a cheaper option, but Gemma stood out. Despite my initial hesitation about the cost, Gemma proved her worth. A good DJ can make or break a party, and Gemma exceeded our expectations. She mixed songs, read the room, set up fantastic speakers, made announcements, created a vibrant atmosphere with a disco ball and light bar, and even danced along. Her attention to detail and impeccable vibes perfectly matched our colorful retro theme. We received countless compliments on our DJ, and if given the chance, we would choose Luv'd Up DJs a million times over.
Gemma provided an in-depth Excel spreadsheet to plan our desired songs for different parts of the wedding. Hearing our favorite tunes play throughout the event was incredibly enjoyable and meaningful. Gemma was flexible and understanding when we struggled with song choices, even adding some songs the night before. Despite a last-minute change due to my dad falling ill, Gemma adapted easily and remained flexible.
Gemma thought of everything, from setting up a discreet microphone for the ceremony to coordinating with our live musicians. She patiently maintained the atmosphere as we took photos, and then got the whole room dancing. As Taylor Swift fans, we were thrilled to discover Gemma's love for hosting Taylor Swift parties. Furthermore, her support for the LGBT+ community was important to us. If you're seeking an energetic female DJ who embraces diversity, Luv'd Up DJs comes highly recommended. -

Luv'd Up was the best…and definitely isn’t a typical wedding DJ that just plays all the hits. They were attentive to all of our needs in the planning stage, was on time and ready to go well before they were needed, played to the crowd, and jumped in to help on anything they could. A natural at event planning and timing, they knew how important it is to keep everything tight and tracked to a killer playlist.
Big point here: you can tell Luv'd Up was all about catering to what we needed as a couple…but bold enough to take control and make on the fly adjustments to keep the vibe and energy up. Our dance floor was never empty, and always active. Everyone said how great the music was from my grandmother to my buddies from NYC. If you don’t book Luv'd Up (for a wedding, or party, or anything really) you’ll absolutely regret it. so do it. -

Gemma with Luv'd Up DJs is THE BEST!
First of all, I barely left the dance floor all night, the music and the vibes were SO GOOD!
Gemma was fantastic start to finish. I had never hired or spoken with a DJ before, the only thing I knew was that I didn't want any cheesy announcer type, but from our first call I felt so comfortable and like she understood exactly what I was asking for.
After booking Gemma sent a spreadsheet for me to fill with information about my favorite songs, songs I didn't want played, the timeline of the evening, and what specific songs would be used where in the ceremony and reception. It was incredibly easy to use to plan, as I had not even considered the music I wanted for where yet, so I knew I wouldn't be missing anything. Closer to the event, I spoke with Gemma again over the phone where we went over the spreadsheet and chatted about what went where and made any changes needed to the timeline. After this call, even as a type A bride, I felt like I did not have to worry about literally anything at all regarding music or the timing of the day.
The day of Gemma was a dream come true. She was communicative about her arrival time, arrived early to account for any traffic, and was just a joy to be around since arriving at the venue. She set up all her own equipment and sound checked the microphone with my officiant and made sure he was comfortable. She asked me if there was anything I needed multiple times before the ceremony even began and checked in on me all night. She perfectly coordinated and cut the music for our ceremony so that the best parts of the songs were used and made a huge impact. The dinner music had amazing vibes, I was singing along the entire time. She made sure each person giving a speech knew when and were they should be and gave them a heads up to prepare.
And then, the Reception!!!!!! Gemma got everyone on the dance floor and kept them there. She perfectly mixed my requests with music that would keep my older relatives dancing as well. I am not kidding I think I left the dance floor for a total of two songs all night and it was out of necessity. And I think I knew every word to every song. Also you can tell that she is having an amazing time DJing as well which just makes you want to keep dancing and jamming with her all night long.
Gemma also managed (in between all that!!) to take videos of some super amazing moments throughout the wedding and sent them to me and I am SO grateful.
She also has been so sweet and supportive on social media after the event too. I will be requiring any of my friends and family that need a DJ to hire her, she is incredible! My bridesmaids and I especially have not stopped talking about how amazing Gemma is. -

We booked our DJ after attending a friend's wedding and we were so happy to have Gemma work with us for our event. She was organized, communicative, and excited for our event, which made us even more excited. She was also able to coordinate two musicians on contract for live music during the cocktail hour. Gemma had a really helpful spreadsheet we could use for choosing music for the reception and keeping track of the special moment songs (first dances, ceremony songs, entrance songs, etc). She did a wonderful job incorporating our ideas and specific song requests but we trusted her completely to keep the flow of the evening going with the music. It was also so wonderful to see her fully enjoying her self behind her set up - dancing and even taking some videos of the dance floor she was kind enough to send me later. Where do I start with Gemma & Luvdup DJs - Gemma was amazing all around! From the very beginning inquiry all the way through the planning process, leading up to the wedding day. I don't think we could have found a better DJ! We were hoping to customize our wedding playlist with songs that we both love, without the standard/stereotypical wedding tunes. Gemma did just that and more! She was super professional, personable, lovely and the list goes on! The music Gemma played made our wedding that much more special - not to mention the lights she brought for the dance floor! It had guests getting down! She also took little video clips throughout the day capturing the most special moments - she went above and beyond.
