Shawnee Farms Estates is a truly magical place for a wedding. Our wedding was on the grounds by the farmhouse on June 5th, 2021 and it was absolutely gorgeous. There are so many options for where to have the ceremony and reception that you can make your entire day personalized to exactly what you want! Katherine, the property manager, is so kind and works very hard to make sure you're happy with how it all comes together. She stayed in constant communication through COVID-19, and she was very open to any idea I had for my special day. Everything came together exactly how my husband and I had envisioned...and then some! We owe a big part of how it all came together to Katherine and the team at Shawnee! THEY REALLY CARE. -

Best wedding I could hope for
We had a fantastic experience at Shawnee Farms and with Katherine especially. Our family stayed for 4 nights, we had the ceremony in Luray caverns and reception in the barn of the Shawnee Farms Estate. The rooms were beautiful and beds comfortable. Kitchen was really awesome for hosting a lot of people and preparing some wedding snacks, also the master bedroom upstairs is a lovely place to prepare for your big day and have some photos taken. Katherine was so helpful and communicative. She went above and beyond to help us make our day the perfect day it was. -

I am so so grateful to Katherine and Naomi for everything they did!! They were so helpful, kind, flexible, hospitable, and worked so hard to make everything happen!
The venue we used was Shawny Farms Estate and it is BEAUTIFUL!!! It was everything I wanted and was hoping for!
I am so so grateful to them and everyone who made our day so special and beautiful!

We found Shawnee Farms Estate while looking for a wedding venue in the Shenandoah Valley. As we pulled up and saw the 360 views of mountains we knew we found a special place. The estate house was perfectly maintained with old fashioned luxury and the property offered so many diverse ceremony sites. Our wedding turned out to be our best day ever. Guests loved the scenery and charm from another time. The staff was so easy to work with from day 1 and did everything possible to make this day so special for us. We wish we could do it all over again. -

September 2021 wedding - Luray Caverns and the Inn & Barn at Shawnee Estates
We reserved the Inn at Shawnee Estates for our daughter's fiance's family (16 people) since we booked their wedding in Luray Caverns and reception at the Shawnee Estates' Barn. The inn is beautiful decorated, comfortable, and very clean. Perfect for wedding guests, family reunions, ... The barn is perfect for a reception! Our Venue Director, Katherine Spain, was terrific to work with! She listened to what we had in mind, and offered ideas and suggestions. She and her team worked their magic from organizing the wedding itself, to decorating the Barn, and making sure the reception was memorable! Everything was so very beautiful! Every guest commented how lovely this venue was! -

My husband and I can't stop telling everyone how amazing was our wedding, and how important was Shawnee Farms Estate & LCC Staff in the making of such an amazing wedding. Katherine Spain and Co definitely went above and beyond helping us to make our dreams come true, the caves are a truly magical place that needed no decoration to bring out it's true brilliance. We went for the full package, that included the cave ceremony, the barn for reception, and the Airbnb for the bridal party; and that was the best decision. Not only was the ceremony at the cave magical, but the whole weekend turned into an amazing celebration that all our friends and family couldn't stop talking about, thanks to the accommodation at the Shawnee Estate Farm and Luray Caverns. We would 100% recommended this place to make your perfect wedding dreams come true. -

THIS PLACE IS UNBELIEVABLE!!!! everything from the location, the Estate/the Barn and the staff is exceptional! The event planner (Katherine) is the most helpful, trustworthy and bubbly person to work with . We had to make changes to the "location" of the ceremony last minute due to the rain and Katherine buckled up her staff and was ready to get to work. As the bride, my jaw dropped after I saw what they had done to the barn! it was magical! Even though we provided a lot of the decorations, Katherine and her staff added so many " little surprises" for the ceremony and the after party --- i literally cannot say enough about the Estate and the staff. Everyone I've talked to who stayed with us at the Estate and attended our ceremony will tell you that it was " PERFECT in every way" ! Thank you Katherine and Shawnee!!! You have met and exceeded any expectations I had for a small, mid-COVID, wedding ceremony! -

A Royal, Impeccable, Historic House For Classy Celebrations
We hosted our Starr Johnson Investment Services 20 Year Anniversary Party at the Shawnee Farms House and had an unforgettable experience. The house was immaculately prepared creating tons of space for people to eat, drink, and mingle during our joyous occasion. Katherine Spain, the events manager, was quick to respond to all of our questions and helped us every step of the way. They did a wonderful job collaborating with Leah Pence, our event planner of Another Wild Hare, to make everything go as smoothly as possible. We even received thank you letters from some of our party guests who were delighted to celebrate with us at a scenic, secluded venue where you can really experience Southern Hospitality.

Kristen Sent on 03/11/2020Absolutely Incredible! Luray Caverns and Burner Barn Wedding
My husband and I had our wedding ceremony in Luray Caverns and our reception in the outside porch at the Burner Barn. Our wedding was absolutely incredible and our guests continuously say what a great experience it was. The caverns are such a unique venue that resulted in incredible photos and the Burner Barn had such an inviting and fun atmosphere. Katherine Spain (the event manager) was so amazing. Her and the other staff, spoke with us frequently leading up to our wedding and made sure everything was perfect, from planning, to set up, to managing the wedding day events and all the way through to clean up. It was definitely worth walking down through the caverns in my wedding dress for such an incredible ceremony.

I would definitely recommend Luray Caverns and the Burner Barn to anyone who wants to have a truly unique and beautiful wedding day. -

Luray Caverns Property
I’ve used the Burner Barn at Luray Caverns for my sisters bridal shower, as well as my mom’s surprise birthday party. Both times, the events team has always been extremely easy to work with, professional, and helpful. As far as the venue, it’s always been clean and perfect for any type of get together. Whether you are using the outside patio space and admiring the gorgeous flowers and the view or the upstairs of the barn, it’s such a nice place for a get together. -
