If there is one piece of advice I would give to any couple planning a wedding, it's this: invest in a videographer. We did, and choosing Jerry was one of the best decisions we made.
From the beginning, everyone told me that if there was one thing worth splurging on, it was the videographer. I listened, but I was still a little skeptical. Now, after receiving our wedding films and all of our raw footage, I can honestly say they were absolutely right.
The videos turned out better than I could have ever imagined. I have watched them so many times already, and every single time I laugh, cry, and relive all of the emotions from our wedding day. Jerry captured not just the big moments, but the feeling of the entire day in a way I didn't think was possible.
These are memories that my husband and I will cherish forever, and I truly can't thank Jerry enough for giving us something we will treasure for the rest of our lives. His talent and ability to tell our story exceeded every expectation we had.
I will absolutely be recommending Jerry to anyone and everyone I know. Thank you for preserving one of the most important days of our lives so beautifully. -

We hired Luminous Event Films to capture our wedding on 11.22.25, and wow did Jerry deliver! From the start, he was extremely communicative and always prompt with his responses, which immediately put us at ease.
On our wedding day, he was so kind, positive, and genuinely happy to be there. It was clear how much he truly loves what he does.
One of the most special touches was receiving a one-minute teaser the day after our wedding. It was such a fun and meaningful way to relive the day with our family and friends before leaving for our honeymoon, and we’ve probably watched it close to 100 times already.

Wow, where do I begin with Jerry. His videos are like movies and he was so kind to us throughout the entire process. I remember talking with my mom while looking for a wedding videographer and saying how nice he was through just email. Then, when we met him on my wedding day, he was just as kind as he was online! Finding vendors like these are so important to me as a wedding photographer and Luminous Event Films was easily one of my easiest and best decisions I made. He even incorporated in-home videos of us as kids in our highlight film and it makes EVERYONE cry when they watch it. He also gave us a film THE NEXT DAY (INSANE!) with a preview video and it was so sweet to relive even the moments from the day before that we may not have seen. He was such a fly on the wall and did a great job at capturing the moment without being in our faces. He guided us when we needed assistance, but he did exactly what a skilled and incredible videographer does and captured our wedding day exactly as it happened. He spent so much time making this perfect for us and I recommend him to every person I know that is a newly wed. You would be crazy not to book him. Jerry is amazing. -

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Jerry. Beyond his incredible videography, he was one of the kindest, most genuine, and most communicative people we worked with throughout the planning process. From our first call, he truly wanted to know us — our personalities, our story, and what mattered most to us. When the wedding day arrived, Jerry was everything we hoped for and more. He embraced all of the elements on our wedding day, navigated his camera fogging in the humid rain, creating a new plan for photos and video, all while capturing all the little moments. He worked so incredibly well with our photographer and we couldn’t be more appreciative of how important, special, and at ease he made us both feel throughout the entire day.
The Sunday after our wedding, my husband and I were eating the leftover food from the night before and cried our eyes out reliving our wedding day with the 60-second reel he delivered. It was one of my favorite moments of out wedding weekend and we are so grateful to have worked with a fellow member of the NC State Wolfpack! -

if you are thinking about hiring a videographer or unsure if you need it- you do need it and you need Jerry!! Jerry is the absolute best for so many reasons! He is so flexible and easy going. He gets all of the perfect shots while working with a photographer (which can be very hard to come by). He has a wonderful and sweet energy about him! He knows what he’s doing so you don’t need to give direction or be worried. From start to finish, Jerry has been an absolute dream to work with! My husband and I loved him, our families loved him, our friends loved him and our vendors loved him! I mean when you have friends after a wedding asking about who your videographer is, you know he did an amazing job!
Jerry fits in perfectly with any vendor team that you have and he truly goes above and beyond for you! Jerry is the best in the business and we were so fortunate to be able to work with him!
Jerry is also VERY busy so I would book him sooner than later as his talent shows and he will book up!
Thank you Jerry for being the absolute best videographer we could have asked for. Truly you were a dream to work with and we are so thankful for you and all of the amazing memories we have! It’s so fun to remember all of the amazing times but then to get to watch it from another angle is so so special! Jerry also offers raw footage which most videographers do not offer. Jerry goes above and beyond for you without giving it a second thought. Jerry was more than a vendor to us, he was a huge part of our day and we will forever be thankful for him.
Also, I am VERY nit picky. I wanted the best for our wedding and I was extremely nit picky with vendors. I interviewed 30 videographers, 30 photographers, 25-30 bands, 40 wedding planners etc. Out of all of the options in Charleston, I found Jerry to be the best of the best! You will not regret it. Video is just as important as photo and anyone working with Jerry is so fortunate to have him!

Jerry with Luminous Event Films has been nothing short of amazing. From the day we reached out, our wedding day, and follow up after the wedding his communication was thorough, timely, and helpful. You can tell he genuinely cares about your day, his reputation, and the quality of his work. My wife and I feel so lucky to have found Jerry on a whim while searching for a videographer. If you are debating getting a videographer because of the cost, don't, and go with Jerry. He is extremely reasonable. We did a lot of shopping around and couldn't find prices better than his for the quality of work provided. The shots he got were perfect, and the audio was all super clear. Truly can't recommend him enough. He even followed up with us almost a year after our wedding to make sure we downloaded our films before he permanently deleted them. Top notch person. -

A good amount of brides debate getting a videographer. I enjoy watching back on my life's memories and still also debated. However, I can definitely say this was one of the best decisions I made for my wedding.
The quality of these videos are top tier. I LOVE that we got different kinds such as the instant, highlight and then documentary. All of our family members complimented us on how beautiful they turned out.
Now the videographer himself makes you extremely comfortable and after a little bit I hardly noticed which is what I wanted. He worked extremely well with my photographer and was such a nice person. I could not have made a better choice. I HIGHLY recommend. We will treasure all of these forever. -

My husband and I can’t say enough good things about Jerry/Luminous Event Films! We were so grateful to have him be a part of our wedding. If you're thinking of hiring a videographer for your special events, you will not be disappointed in the result if you hire Jerry. He not only beautifully captured our most special moments at not one but two wedding events, but also delivered the a highlight video of our private ceremony overnight so we could share with our larger list of guests and loved ones at the reception the next evening. We were also able to watch the video instead of a private final dance. By the look on my face, you can tell we were just amazed by the production.
Jerry is communicative, thoughtful, intentional and has an eye for capturing all of the moments from tear jerkers to belly laughs. I can't think of a better person to have trusted with capturing these moments forever.
I have so much appreciation for all of the incredible people who lent their exceptional talents to make our vision a reality, and we have Jerry to thank for so much of it. -

Amazing Work and Friendly Videographer- it’s easy to see why they are so highly rated
We could not be happier with our choice to use Luminous Event Films. Jerry was so friendly and welcoming to the wedding party. He was a calm fixture amongst the pre ceremony craziness and made sure to get professional and beautiful shots even while i had bridesmaids running in every direction. He worked incredibly fast and got us some footage the day after our wedding.

Jerry is the best at what he does! Everything was stunning and I'll forever be thankful for my wedding videos. I feel like I could write a book on how amazing everything he did was. From our very first conversation I knew he was the one I wanted. He responded quickly and covered everything he'd be providing thoroughly and even sent videos he'd done before of small weddings. He was early on wedding day, so kind and so accommodating to everything I wanted and needed. We had a sunrise beach elopement so he had an instant film video out to me the same day so I could share my elopement with friends and family. Even though our wedding was small and intimate no detail was left out he got drone footage and angles from multiple cameras of my ceremony. He captured my wedding in the most gorgeous way. He even walked down the beach with us and got footage of us doing our favorite things in our favorite little beach town. I watch my videos nearly every day and I'm so happy I can re-live my magical day over and over because of him. If you're on the fence about hiring Jerry don't be because you won't regret it. -

From the initial reaching out to Jerry about our wedding, he was super personable, willing to answer any questions and just all around great. I had looked at some of his work, and it was amazing! We had a certain vision for what we wanted in a videographer and the style of video we wanted his worked showed. Although he is based out of Myrtle Beach, we were looking for someone who could do a wedding in the Charlotte area and Luminous was it.
We booked early and all of our interaction was through email and through phone, but we were confident in what Luminous would bring to our big day. The day of the wedding was the first day that I met Jerry. I was getting my makeup done when him and our photographer came in. He introduced himself as he began shooting and for a while I didn't realize that he was who he was with so much going on. I watched as he continued to move through rooms and spaces getting footage and capturing moments of our big day. Him and our photographer got along so great and worked together well to the point that I would have thought they worked together on a regular basis.
There were some surprises that my husband had for me during the wedding and Jerry captured it all flawlessly. He also did a great job at live-streaming our ceremony for our loved ones who were unable to travel at the time for the wedding.
After the wedding, the turnaround for the instant film was literally the next day and I cried in the airport on the way to our honeymoon. It wasn't long after that Jerry delivered all of our videos and raw footage and I am beyond myself in all that he captured. If I ever have events or things I need captured for video, Luminous will be our go to. Do yourself a favor and spend the money on a videographer. Do yourself a greater favor and book Luminous and have all the confidence that Jerry will capture memories to last for a lifetime.
Hands down Jerry was the best decision we made for our video and to capture so many details. -

Look no further if you are wanting an incredible, high quality wedding videographer. Jerry was truly OUTSTANDING on our wedding day. I think he sat down maybe 30 minutes of the entire 8 hour day, he was constantly shooting clips and ensuring every little detail was covered. He worked seamlessly with our photographers, covering all of the shots together. He was so kind, so professional, and so very dedicated to his work. We received our instant film in less than 24 hours and we were blown away. When our full wedding videos were ready, I think we watched them over and over for 2 hours. We loved that in addition to the highlight film, we also had the full ceremony video, as well as all first dances, first looks, toasts, etc. We also really LOVED the raw footage he provided us, it was so fun to relive our reception. The quality of the coverage and editing was top notch. You could really feel the love and joy of the day through the screen. He captured everything so very wonderfully. Jerry was absolutely amazing!! He was able to capture all of the important moments and arrange them in such an appealing way in the instant film, the highlight, and the documentary. We got our instant film the next day, which was just beautiful to have so quickly! We also got our highlight & documentary within a month of the wedding; which we haven't stopped watching because it is just so beautiful! And did I mention he also gives you the raw footage too? (these are great!)
Not only did he make us feel comfortable and appreciated, but he made our family and friends feel the same way. We would HIGHLY recommend using Jerry for your wedding! You will not regret it! :) -

Jerry was the BEST! We could not have asked for a better wedding videographer! My wife and got married a little over a week ago (on New Year’s Eve) and not only did Jerry arrive to the venue earlier than scheduled to ensure that he got to meet, face-to-face, with my wife and I before the wedding activities began, but he even had our instant film done six hours after the wedding ended! Communicating with him via email leading up to the wedding was a breeze since he was very responsive and respectful. All around, Jerry was just a great videographer to work with. He got some great footage, and we barely realized he was there. We also had many guests unable to make it because of COVID and Jerry was able to live stream the ceremony to his Facebook page for everyone to see. My wife and I HIGHLY recommend Luminous Event Films to anyone looking for the best videographer out there! Thanks so much for capturing our special day! -

We hired Jerry for our wedding in Wallace, NC, on October 2, 2021. Jerry was absolutely amazing from the moment we booked. He was pleasant our entire wedding day and captured EVERYTHING from the wedding party getting all glammed-up, priceless moments as family arrived throughout the day, spectacular drone footage of the venue, gift exchanges, all of the memorable moments of our ceremony & reception, AND he took videos of everything the photographer captured with his camera. Jerry & Luminous Event Films were absolutely fantastic. There is nothing quite like the instant gratification of that 60 second instant film you get within 24 hours that leaves you with so much happiness. Jerry was so easy to work with and made it everything so much fun!
Then you get to relive all of those wonderful memories with the highlight film. Jerry's editing of different parts of our night perfectly aligned with the songs we picked for our highlight film. He captured all the best moments of our day.
I immediately texted my husband when we got our video and said that I can't wait to show it to our kids one day. And all of our family and friends ask if we can do it all over again - because Jerry is just that good at getting the feelings of the day to come through. I'd hire him again in a heartbeat. He's fantastic! -

We unfortunately had a bad experience with our wedding videographer and spent a ton of money on a product that was poorly recorded and put together. Thanks to Jerry we were are finally able to watch our wedding video and love the outcome. He took our raw footage from the other company and in less than a week gave us a video we absolutely love!
