Alli and JohnMark went above and beyond for us.
The words “thank you” fall short.
Not only will they both forever be part of our intimate, special day, but they captured every single moment perfectly and so beautifully and somehow made us look even better?? Me and my husband felt like movie stars on the day of, and we look it from the absolutely STUNNING video and photos thanks to this team!!! Truly I could not love them more. They’re chic, timeless - everything we wanted and more. And I am very, very picky.
Aside from how just incredible the final product came out, the team was so kind in dealing with our last minute shifts. My dad got sick two weeks before the wedding, so we had to pivot away from our already-planned full blown wedding to an elopement instead. I can't thank Shanshan enough for quick communication and for everyone for being so flexible and willing to work with us.
Without my family and grieving the new reality surrounding my dad, I was nervous about the actual day. But the team calmed us down, hyped us up, and added to a day that will live in my memory as pure of love and joy - something I wasn't sure was possible.
Then, I was able to watch the finished product and share all the photos with my dad. My heart truly felt complete. Thank you to this amazing team for giving me this invaluable gift.

We had the pleasure of having Lulan and Sarah be our photographers for our wedding day and we could not have made a better choice. They were both so attentive, patient, and creative with everything. They used the space of our venue expertly and new how to direct us. As Leica camera enthusiasts, my husband and I were especially drawn to Lulan because he is one of the few photographers who shoots with this brand. We also love editorial and non-posed photography for a more organic, still life feel. Lulan did our pre-wedding ceremony photos at Caesar's Palace and the Botanical Garden at the Bellagio. Lulan outdid himself on this day in 103 degree weather. He made me look like a 1960's Chanel model which was truly amazing. Lulan created whimsical photo moments for us. The bonus was the good lighting balance. We found Lulan Studios about nine months before our wedding day. We were immediately drawn in by their professionalism and their reputation. Lulan is an inclusive photographer who was very receptive to our wedding vision. He and his team were incredibly kind, supportive, and helpful all throughout the process.
We elected to go with Lulan Wang himself for our photographer who worked with an associate. After our initial consultation we were turned over to Shannon who was our go to contact for day to day clarifications and vendor contact until Lulan took over just before the wedding. Shannon was immensely resourceful and responsive. She communicated with our coordinator very efficiently and was always on top of our booking. We are very grateful to her as well for making the process so easy and for continuing that communication after the fact.
On the day, Lulan and his associate were spectacular. It was clear his associate had more than enough talent for the job just like Lulan, but they divided and concurred by using two different types of cameras for different types of shots. We regret not doing an engagement session with them, but we will likely return for an Anniversary session in the future. We didn’t even need one though, because he is skilled enough that he understood us as a couple immediately. They made us feel comfortable and confident. They hyped us up and moved through the shot list masterfully. Nothing was missed and we captured far more than we expected. Please look through our attached photos as they speak for themselves. One of the most exciting moments was when Lulan handed us a little blue book filled with about fifteen physically printed preview photos DURING THE RECEPTION. A lovely surprise that absolutely shocked me.
Turnover was 4-6 weeks and we got ours just before the six week mark right on schedule. We were floored. They are jaw-dropping. We ultimately got 950 photos permanently digitally available for high resolution download and access to a shop with impressive options for prints and albums of a wide array of types and sizes. I’m thrilled to show them to you here and implore you to consider booking Lulan Studios. We trusted in their ability from the beginning and we were not disappointed. They are among if not the absolute best in the business.

We booked Lulan Studios for our wedding and had an amazing experience with them from our engagement photo session down to the wedding day. They were professional and communicated quickly. And we’d like to give a special shoutout to Dany Del Bosque for the best videography. He took his time and created a very special video for us that highlighted our weddingj day perfectly, and we will cherish it for the rest of our lives. We had our wedding on 05/10/2024 at the Houdini Estate was absolutely enchanting, and our photography and videography team captured every moment beautifully. Although the venue will be closing their doors very soon. We were lucky enough to be the last few weddings there. Lulan Studio seamlessly blended into the backdrop of the historic venue, turning our special day into a collection of stunning memories. From the lush gardens to the charming architecture, every photo and video reflected the magic of the estate and the joy we felt. Short and sweet, their work exceeded all our expectations. We were able to work out the style and direction of the photography early on and felt confident going into the actual event. During the event, the team was extremely organized and efficient, since every minute matters on the big day. Photos were extremely important to us, and we wanted to make sure that our photographer is able to capture the vision that we wanted. Lulan was amazing throughout the entire planning process, and on the day of the wedding, he was extremely prompt, professional and amazing to work with.
We had a slight confusion and miscommunication on the day of where we also wanted to take some additional on-location shots that Lulan wasn't planning for, but Lulan went with it and took our photos anyway, and we loved and really appreciated that flexibility. He is amazing to work with, and I think the photos speak for themselves on how amazing they turned out!

We had a WONDERFUL experience with Lulan's studio. From our initial phone call with Lulan, to our email communications with the studio, to our big day with photographer, Moses, and videographer, Peter, everything was smooth and easy. Moses especially blew our minds with his skill and ability to get the best out of ourselves and our guests. He even researched us a bit before the wedding to get a feel for our personalities and really took to heart our vision and overall vibe we wanted. Peter's video also came out beautifully, and perfectly captured how fun our day was. ALSO, our wedding happened in the midst of one of LA's biggest rainstorms of all time, and Moses and Peter were such pros. Rain did not stop them from getting the most beautiful shots, and they even incorporated the rain in a gorgeous way! If anything, the rain made the day even more memorable and special.

We had a unique wedding and we wanted the pictures to match. I found Lulan Studio through the knot app which lead me to their website. Once I saw it, I knew I had to book them! Not only were they familiar with our venue (The Newhall Mansion), but every photo they capture just looked so cinematic with rich colors and beautiful moments you could tell weren't staged.
The entire process with them was super easy. Just a simple conversation about ourselves, what we were looking for, and details about our wedding to help highlight what was important to us.
When they arrived, I was running a little late. But they found plenty to do while they waited and never rushed me. Taking detailed pictures of the things I had laying out for our big day. Once we got started, everything was on a tight schedule, but we never felt rushed if that's even possible. And they captured every single moment we could ever hope for! We keep laughing as we see the pictures and saying "I didn't even see them there to catch that moment!"
We definitely recommend them for your event if you want quality memories. And their website is so user friendly when it comes to payments, contracts, and your photo organization. Even sharing your page is super easy! You won't need any outside apps for assistance which makes organization easier.

We did a destination wedding so all my vendors were found online. We loved Lulan Studios “look” so much. During our first phone call Lulan answered all
our questions and helped customize our needs for a videographer for a limited number of hours. We felt his pricing was fair and he was transparent. He even provided us with his personal contact ( which we didn’t have to use). Day of he and the videographer arrived on time. The team was easy to work with during the day. We found Lulan Studio because my husband was looking through our venue's instagram page and found a photo he loved that was taken by one of their photographers. The cinematic and photojournalistic style was exactly what we were looking for, and knew we found our photographer when we went to their website. The communication leading up to the wedding was always very quick and responsive. Alli was our photographer, and I cannot express enough how absolutely wonderful she was. Not only is she phenomenal at what she does and her work obviously speaks for itself, but she made the whole day fun and I always felt her looking out for us. When my veil kept coming off as I walked down the aisle, I was just going to forget it in the moment so I didn't have to deal with it. When I got to the front, I felt someone securing it in the back of my hair. At the time, I thought it was my mother-in-law since I had given it to her, but later I was told Alli said that I would regret it, and she put it on for me. In retrospect, she is absolutely right and I can't possibly say how appreciative and supported I felt by her the whole day. The best studio to capture your cherished moments
Where to even begin. Katerina was our photographer and Herbert was our videographer. Everyone knows how important it is to get the right team to capture your special day, and we couldn't have picked a better team. We can't even express how happy we were that we went with Lulan Studio. Both Katerina and Herbert made it so easy for us. Katerina took every shot imaginable and Herbert video-graphed like there was no tomorrow. Their attention to detail and ability to capture the candid moments made such a difference. Our photos turned out better than what we had imagined. We can't stop going through them, and can't thank them enough for providing us the opportunity to remember our special day.

We discovered Lulan studios while attending a wedding expo and right away, their style, artistry and expression caught our eyes. After an initial phone call to learn more, we decided they were the right studio to capture our wedding.
Moses was our photographer for both our engagement photoshoot and our wedding day. Good lord, this man is talented! He was so much fun to work with – friendly, easy-going, genuinely passionate about his craft, and always available to call or text.
Before the shoot, he took the time to get to know us better, and explained how the shoot would go, how he’d be directing us, and why. If you aren’t used to being on camera, this was incredibly helpful, as it made the shoot that much more comfortable and fun.
Then the engagement photos arrived. Oh. My. GOD. His eye for capturing those stunning moments-between-the-moments is unreal. The expressive mood, dramatic style and artistic depth of the photos themselves were exactly what we’d hoped for, yet totally unexpected. On our wedding day, working with him felt like seeing an old friend. Clear and helpful direction, check. Razor-sharp eye for every moment and angle, check. Plus, he made sure to capture all the important photo requests we discussed during our pre-wedding meeting. Moses works wonders with the camera, and if our engagement shots are any indication, our wedding photos are gonna be legendary. Lulan Studios rocks – we couldn’t recommend them enough.
Also, a huge shout out to Dani for doing our wedding day videography! She was like a force of calm that helped us stay centered through the chaos of the day. Masterful Photography
There is a reason that Lulan Studio has a perfect rating and the stellar reviews on this site as well as many others. Lulan is a true master of his art which has already been articulated in the many reviews written by others, so all I can add is THEY ARE SO RIGHT. We first got to know Lulan during our engagement shoot a few months prior. I had expressed my preference for candid playful shots versus posed stiff photos. He made my fiancée (at the time) and I feel so at ease - as if we were just hanging out with a friend. He captured our personalities so perfectly. Fast forward to our wedding, he seemed to be a part of it all as we already felt so comfortable with him. In all the chaos, he provided the calm to both me and my husband. He was everywhere, capturing everything…and all the while, he never got in the way. We LOVE all of our photos. They are absolutely stunning. We don’t know how he did it, but he so beautifully captured all of the beauty and emotions of the day. We will forever cherish our photos and be forever grateful to Lulan and his assistant for the beautiful memories they have given to us. What I truly appreciate most is that I feel like he remembered what I had told him before we first met him for the engagement shoot - that I dislike posed shots. Upon receipt of our wedding portfolio, my heart melted. I remembered that on my special day, he kept the posed shots to a minimum and instead focused on capturing “moments” that mean so much more to me than any cliched posed photo for Instagram ever could. Katerina absolutely crushed it
We were looking for a reasonably priced photographer for our wedding in Pasadena CA. Of the four photographers we interviewed, Lulan was both our favorite and the cheapest. It seemed too good to be true, and we were a little bit worried that since they did so many weddings each year, that maybe they wouldn't fully give it their all to our wedding.
I'm happy to report that was not the case! Katerina was our photographer and she did a phenomenal job. She did 10 hours of photos from getting ready to the dance floor, listening to our requests, but also knowing when she had a better suggestion for where to get the next photos based on her considerable experience. We cannot say enough amazing things about Lulan Studio! Lulan was our photographer for the big day. We also added the videography package and were over the moon when we saw the footage.
Lulan and his team arrived on time and immediately began shooting and filming candid moments of the bridal party getting ready. He got a ton of photos both traditional and creative. He also listened to my feedback and requests as far as wanting a lot of candid moments, as well as a few photos edited in film style.
Our photos are simply breathtaking. The venue, The Hilton Santa Barbara Beachfront Resort, was so impressed by them that they requested a release form to use them for their wedding advertisements. I cannot explain the number of compliments we’ve received on our photos and wedding video!
If you are in the Los Angeles area, you must must go with Lulan Studio. They are professional, friendly, experts in their craft, and the pricing was totally reasonable. The Most Romantic Photographer in the World
Lulan is surely the most romantic wedding photographer in the world. His images of my daughter’s wedding are dreamy, elegant, playful, reverent, intimate, artistic and deeply emotional. His photos are so much more than pictures of the wedding. They tell how the wedding felt. They tell the story of love and hope and dreams coming true in the most magical way. Like a beautiful still-life movie.
He captured the quiet, thoughtful moments of the bride and groom preparing alone…mother’s nervous fingers buttoning the dress…Grandma’s tears…the joyful gathering of the bridesmaids and groomsmen. He honored the wedding clothes on their hangers waiting to be worn, haloed by sunshine. He made stunning still life pictures of the invitations, handkerchiefs, and rings. He preserved the bouquets forever in the perfect lighting. All those little pieces of the wedding that could have faded with memory were turned by him into lasting pieces of art.
Lulan made the formal shots warm and fun. He put the most camera-shy at ease with his gentle demeanor. He froze the most special moments of the ceremony — the kiss, the dance, the party. He and his assistant were everywhere and, at the same time, completely unobtrusive.
He was extremely respectful, taking time to get to know the venue and the bride and groom beforehand so he knew the perfect spots to capture my daughter and her new husband in the most personal and special-to-them way.
We will treasure these breathtaking photographs and our experience of working with Lulan forever.

Amazing Photographers
Lulan came highly recommended to us by a close friend of ours whose wedding he had photographed last year. We were initially a bit hesitant as we weren’t sure if Lulan knew South Indian wedding customs well enough to be able to capture the important moments. However, from our initial conversations, it became apparent that Lulan was deeply interested in understanding our culture and ensuring that our wedding photos would be memorable. We also looked through his portfolio and fell in love with his photography style. As a result, Lulan ended up being the first vendor that we booked for our wedding. Amidst all the stresses leading up to the day of the wedding, working with Lulan was a pleasure and his professionalism and intelligence shone through in all our interactions.
We must mention here that Lulan became a dad to a newborn just a few days before the wedding. Once we got to know about it, we told him that we’d fully understand if he decided to spend time with his baby and sent the rest of his lead photography team to cover the wedding. However, he assured us that he would be there for the entire day along with his other leads as he’d already promised us earlier. We were blown away by his dedication at this point. Needless to say, Lulan and his team exceeded our expectations at the wedding.
On the day of the wedding, Lulan, Katerina, and Alli were there on time at 6:00 am and ready to go. Given that we had a traditional Indian wedding, which tends to be about 6-7 hours, the team was very patient and respectful throughout the process. They were very cooperative and adaptable to changes to the timeline during our wedding. Lulan always had a smile on and helped us feel calm amidst any wedding chaos. His team also went above and beyond and would fix my hair or my dress for the photos as needed. For the reception later that evening, they were again full of energy even though they’d had a long day by then. They made sure to capture everything beginning with the getting ready shots of the bride and groom all the way till the song and dance performances and the open dance floor at the end of the reception. They were also always available to take a group picture of our guests if they were requested to do so. The day after our wedding, we lost count of how many of our guests reached out to let us know that our photographer was amazing!
Their passion for photography was never more obvious than when we saw the final pictures. They had captured over 8,000 pictures across the wedding and reception and the team gave us around 3,000 pictures that they processed and edited and didn’t miss one single moment. The pictures were fabulous and everyone who’s seen them till now can’t stop raving about them, and we couldn’t be happier for hiring Lulan and trusting him and his team with our special day. Phenomenal!
We found Lulan Photography through a family member who had him for their wedding many years ago. We loved their pictures so much, it was a no brainer when it came to picking his team. After reaching out, they were incredibly responsive and understanding, especially as this was happening during the pandemic. As we were trying to figure out the details of the wedding and whether or not we were even going through with it, Lulan and his team were incredibly patient and flexible. They worked with us time and again.
As the wedding got closer, Lulan sent over a Wedding Day Questionnaire, that covers everything you need from locations, to specific poses desired, and timing. There are also a couple of phone calls to iron out the details. Very thorough.
During the wedding day, Lulan and his team showed up on time and ready to go. They had already visited the groom and were coming to photograph myself and company. I'm not the most photogenic and can be a little awkward in front of the camera, but he knew exactly how to pose me and guide me where to look to get the best photos. This expertise also extended to everyone else getting photographed.
Lulan was also very good at picking the right angles and catching all the best moments throughout the wedding. Especially the candids! There was not a single bad picture!
In the middle of it all, I had a few moments where the stress and the nerves got to me, but Lulan and his team did not judge and just rolled with the punches. It got crazy there with timing and everyone chiming in with an opinion, but if he was stressed he certainly didn't let it show.
When it came to getting the photographs back, he was on time to the week. I was so happy to see them I couldn't contain my excitement! He captured the whole day so perfectly that I relived it all just looking through the pictures. I cannot wait to start framing them all and creating an album!
Notes of advice to clients: be very clear on your timing for the day and what you want out of the pictures. Especially where you want the photography to be happening.
All in all, Lulan is a true artist and he perfectly captures the love and the happiness abound. Please do not hesitate to hire him and his team! And remember to have fun to maximize your moments on camera!Lulan Wedding Photography's reply:

This review of Lulan Photography is loooong overdue. My apologies, Lulan.
My wife and I held our wedding at the end of August 2019. Impeccable timing in hindsight. The vendor selection process for the event was a daunting one. Not being familiar with the market for wedding photographers, shopping really helped define the balance between quality and price. We looked into all of the renowned photographers - the Lin and Jirsa’s, and D Park’s in the space. It was serendipitous that we happened upon Lulan. We looked through his portfolio, even visited his lovely studio. He checked all of the boxes for a couple who is prioritizing a photographer above other vendors. I would say his pricing versus his talent and skill in photography fill a sweetspot in this market, but it truly is more than that. The quality of work and level of service from Lulan and his crew are stellar. However, his philosophy on the craft was the selling point for us. The passion he had for bringing the beauty of a couple’s love to the forefront and capturing those meaningful moments during the wedding day compelled us to go with him.
Lulan’s process was very professional. Although everything from engagement photo locations and timing, to the wedding day, was outlined and articulated in advance, Lulan and his folks went above and beyond what we expected. He stayed with us a few hours over what was agreed upon to finish up the engagement photoshoot. He and his crew even showed up to capture the tea ceremony we held the day before the actual wedding. Getting married is a wonderful time, don’t let anyone tell you different…but it is chaotic. Lulan and his group were not only our support through much of the process, they were our guides. We hold them in the highest esteem and feel privileged to have had them shoot our wedding.

There are no words to describe how thankful my husband and I are for Lulan and his team. From our first meeting with him we knew there is no one else we wanted to capture our day. His communication skills are beyond those of any of our other vendors. His skill and creativity brought the photos of our day to a whole level we never expected. Our family and friends were in awe of the moments that he was able to capture amongst the chaos that was our lively and rambunctious family. I was lucky enough to have Lulan capture my bridal shower, engagement photos and wedding. His attention to capturing all the details that as a couple you do not get to see on the day of gave me the ability to see all of the work my husband and I put into our wedding come together. From the photos of my shoes to the photos of the end of the night every memory we could imagine was captured.
For anyone who is looking for a true artist with an amazing eye for capturing your big day Lulan is the person you want photographing your day.
My husband does not like having his photos taken and is uncomfortable in front of a camera. Somehow Lulan was able to bring his personality out and he was able to have fun in front of the camera in a way I didn't expect. The photos during the engagement shoot were so fun and allowed him to become more comfortable in front of the camera. Lulan did a fantastic job bringing out the best in us and capturing us the way we are as a couple.
Every single person who has seen the photos from any of our events has asked who our photographer was and where we found him.
