  Best dj ever

  My wife and I are both music lovers so choosing the right DJ for our wedding was important to us. We found Mike and the Lujan Entertainment team via Instagram and were so impressed by the content we saw, we knew he would be the right choice.
  
  Mike and team absolutely blew our expectations out of the water.
  
  From our officiant's mic during the ceremony to the speakers indoors and out - the quality of the sound couldn't have been better. Neither of us can remember hearing such crystal clear microphones at a wedding before this.
  
  Leading up to wedding day, Mike gave us access to his software which was pretty incredible to see. We got to link our own music directly from our preferred music streaming platform, answer questions for Mike about our preferences and the day, and leave notes about anything we thought was necessary.
  
  Mike's preparation is evident in his execution. The day-of, he had everything ready to go and executed it perfectly. We had an outdoor ceremony and indoor cocktails hour and reception, and Mike made the transition without skipping a beat.
  
  We also chose to hire mike for our photobooth and that was the best decision we could have made. The photobooth is very modern and easy to understand for all of our guests. JC and his assistant who ran the booth were so kind and engaging. They made the experience fun and facilitated having guests add their photo strips to our guest book which means we have a full book and memories to last forever. I truly can't quantify how valuable and special that is for us.
  
  If you take nothing else from this review, know that Mike is the most incredible DJ I have ever heard. We received so many compliments during the wedding and days after from guests who said he was the best DJ they'd ever heard. And they're right. Mike took the music we chose and added the perfect complements which meant our dance floor was the place to be all night long. Even as the bride, any time I would think about taking a break and make my way off the floor, another incredible song or mix that Mike had put together would come on and I found it impossible to tear myself away.
  
  I really can't say enough good things about Mike and the Lujan Entertainment team. In terms of value for investment, what Mike will bring to your wedding day is worth easily twice what he charges. He is kind and professional and easy to work with. We truly had the wedding and party of our dreams thanks to him.

  Responsive, Flexible, Fun!

  We couldn't have asked for a DJ better than Mike! From the beginning Mike was super friendly and responsive (even answering as late as 11 pm on a weekend!) He was able to blend music of our multi-cultural wedding flawlessly, able to read the room and quickly pick up on what kept people on the dance floor. His ability to speak both English and Spanish made sure everyone in the room understood and felt comfortable. He also made beautiful cuts and mixes of our special dances (first dance, father-daughter, mother-son)! Truly a pleasure working with Mike. Thank you so much, Mike!

He is prompt, personable, and helpful in all our communications, and we especially appreciated the ease of the planning process when using his app, to choose songs to play, info he needed to know as MC for our wedding night, and timeline planning. As DJ, he kept everyone on the dance floor all night, and kept the energy of the room up flawlessly. The balance between English and Spanish music was perfectly executed, and it’s clear that he knows and loves his work! As MC, he helped us to keep everything running smoothly, and make sure we were cued on time for our events. He made sure to make certain announcements in Spanish for my husband’s family as requested, which was such a nice touch. Overall, we had an amazing experience with Mike and his team, and couldn’t have asked for a better night!

  The best vendor of them all! Amazing dj

  Our wedding was 3 weeks ago, and I still cannot stop raving about Mike and his team. We have received so many compliments about our reception but for me the true excellence came with his service leading up to the big day. Mike is the epitome of a true professional. He was incredibly responsive, clear, flexible, and friendly from start to finish. As I'm sure many of you know, the planning process can be stressful, but with Mike, he was hands down the easiest vendor to work with. We utilized his photo booth option, at first it was one of the "extra" options on our chopping block to try and save some money but let me tell you...We are SO glad we decided to add it. The photo booth and props were a huge hit with our guests. We absolutely got our money’s worth and appreciated that all the photos were saved to a cloud for us to see after the event. If you're wondering about his style of music - We had the same question - He plays it ALL. Living in the DMV, there are so many cultures and music influences, we wanted to hire a DJ that could keep up with our diverse group. DJ Mike did not disappoint, our guests complimented on the beautiful music during the ceremony and even more about the party music, Mike kept the dance floor hyped! Overall, 10/10, HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
  Mike, we still cannot thank you enough for sharing your craft with us and our guests. You truly were the MVP of the day. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

  Mike is the best!

  I would give more than 5 stars if I could! Reasonably priced and incredibly easy to work with, Mike and his team were amazing. His photobooth services were also a hit and he even designed a template for the print outs to match our wedding invitations. He used a new platform to help organize our music and indicate “must plays”, cake cutting songs, etc. that we really liked and was easy to use. We had a pianist for our ceremony that he was able to accommodate and we did not experience any technical difficulties in the 4+ areas that required mics, music, and lighting. Truly a full service vendor.

  Amazing dj that keeps the crowd lit

  My husband had found Mike through a wedding website. After watching a couple of his videos, my husband was adamant that this would be our DJ for our wedding. Working with Mike was great! He was an awesome communicator and set us up for success with our preferred wedding music vibes! Mike was very thorough with the details of music, when to stop songs, how to pronounce the bridal party names, and any other special requests. He was kind enough to let us hang a felt banner we had made for our wedding, from his DJ booth! It looked awesome. Our wedding was during Hurricane Ian, which brought a lot of rain on our wedding day. Mike was able to up the vibes with his amazing skills. He was happy to take some requests as the night started to come to an end. Our guests still rave about our wedding DJ and how great the music and vibe was. I HIGHLY recommend Mike from Lujan Entertainment for your wedding or event!

  We love mike lujan entertainment

  DJ Mike Lujan was hands down one of our favorite parts of our wedding. He kept the party going all night long, and our guests were raving about how much they loved him. He was professional, knowledgeable, and handed every detail music, emcee, and lighting-wise to help create our perfect event. Mike, we are SO grateful for you!!!!!!

  We Had a Blast!

  We booked both the DJ service and wedding coordinator service with Lujan Entertainment, and both turned out great! In particular, Carla, the wedding coordinator, was a GOD SEND! She helped us think through so many things that were just in our blind spot, and she stuck with us even as we changed our minds about the wedding timeline about 100 times. By the time the wedding was underway, we have absolute certainty everything would run smoothly and efficiently. We went back and forth on whether to have a coordinator at all, and having Carla was by far our best idea during the wedding process. Overall, the planning process was very smooth, and Mike and Carla made things feel very personal. Mike even came to our walkthrough despite not actually being the one to DJ for our event, and we thought that was a really nice touch. I was very particular about the wedding playlist, and Mike and DJ Rick were happy to accommodate all our requests. Overall we would recommend Lujan for your DJ needs (and definitely definitely get Carla too!!)

  We had a fantastic experience with Mike! First of all, he kept our dance floor jumping all night. He is so talented as both a DJ and emcee. Mike truly loves his craft & gave us the best mixes and song transitions. He incorporated our preferences while also reading the crowd. His setup had very cool light projections and color-changing uplights. Secondly, Mike and his partner, Carla, were professional, organized and prepared. Even afterward, they were very thoughtful and sent us some awesome video footage they happened to capture at the wedding. It was truly a stress-free experience working with them from booking up through the wedding day. Best decision for a fun wedding and guest experience!

  What's not to love?

  What’s not to love? We were so thrilled with Mike and Carla. We are already trying to figure out what other events we can hire a DJ for because we want to work with them again. Mike was extremely communicative, organized, professional, and friendly. His app outlined every question and detail. We provided some “must have” songs but we let him take the reins for the rest and he was spot-on with his selections. He kept the dance floor packed the entire time (and probably could have another 2-3 hours). He also accommodated one of my friends singing at the reception, was extremely adaptable to a variety of scenarios regarding the weather and our ceremony being indoor/outdoor, and was prepared to step in and cover audio and music no matter what we decided.
  We are also extremely happy that we utilized the photo booth. The photographs are high-quality and were so much fun to look through. Additionally, the uplighting really improved the atmosphere of the ballroom and we loved how they looked. Carla also snapped some great photos for us!
  Going with Lujan Entertainment was one of our favorite decisions that we made in this process. Without a doubt, we would recommend Mike and can also promise that if we ever need a DJ in the future, we already know who we would hire. We would easily recommend Mike to our friends and family. We have heard so many compliments from our guests as well which just reinforces our feelings. THANK YOU!

  As a Mexican bride-to-be marrying a Caucasian American, I quickly found out that I wanted a DJ that not only had good taste in music, but also able to mix English AND Spanish hits. I made sure to check out EVERY DJ's webpages and link and once I found Mike, I KNEW HE WAS WHO I WANTED AS OUR DJ!! Mike's mix (found on his youtube page) hit the nail right on the head for me. My wedding had all age ranges, from babies to elderly folks and Mike was able to keep everyone dancing the night away! Following our wedding MANY if not ALL our guests RAVEDDDDD about Mike and Carla and what a FABULOUS job they did!!! Mike is VERY professional, responsive, and he tries his best to not be pushy but give friendly reminders as he knows wedding planning is stressful enough. Mike did an AMAZING job mixing my and my now husbands first dance and surprise dance mix. Honestly Mike and Carla are the BEST TEAM OUT THERE!!!
  
  We also had the pleasure of working with Dante "Mr. Shutters Worth" (photobooth guy). Dante was also very flexible and he made my prop vision come to life!

  Awesome DJ services from Lujan Entertainment!

  This review is embarrassingly-long overdue as we reach one year after our wedding. Mike and Carla (his fiancee) were fantastic to work with. Mike was very organized and prompt to respond to all our messages. He provided great input to our choice of songs for key moments of the night. Everyone enjoyed the music and hit the dance floor at least once during the night. We asked Mike if he could make announcements in English and Spanish, and he was able to accommodate our request. Mike attended to all details with our wedding coordinator. We could not have been possibly happier with his services.
  If you are considering hiring him as a DJ, please do not hesitate, you will have a great experience.

  Living legends

  MIKE AND CARLA! What more can we say but two living legends, and our absolute favorite vendors. We booked Lujan Entertainment in a world where we though we were going to have a 200 person wedding, and when we pivoted last minute to an intimate party of our 50 closest family and friends in an entirely different state, the one thing we KNEW we didn’t want to change was booking Mike and Carla and they did not disappoint. Between Mike expertly live mixing some fire jams, to Carla capturing some of our favorite moments and sharing on social later you will NOT be disappointed with this power duo.

  Exceeded Expectations!

  We hired Mike to DJ our wedding after party, which was a huge priority for us. From day one, Mike was friendly, responsive, and an overall pleasure to work with. I stressed how important the music was to me and gave Mike a very thorough list of songs that I wanted him to play, and he absolutely delivered. He was amazing and exceeded all of our wildest expectations! To this day, I am still receiving compliments about how amazing our DJ was! He made the after party an absolute blast.

  Mike and his team were an absolute delight to work with. He was the most responsive vendor out of all my vendors which I really appreciated. Mike worked with us even to the day before the wedding with song changes and schedule changes. Everything we asked for was listened to and the flow of the reception went so well because of Mike! We had the best time dancing at our reception and had an absolute blast!!! Thank you again for being part of our special day!!!

  My husband and I can't think of a single complaint for Lujan Entertainment. Mike was amazing from the minute we contacted him to inquire about his services to the end of our wedding reception. He was extremely friendly, responsive to emails, and proactive throughout the entire process. He even came to our venue with us to scope out the place and ask questions of the Events Director. He created a detailed schedule for us and accommodated all our requests for edits to the schedule, including the last minute ones. He even offered a few creative ideas (which we took). We couldn't ask for a better MC for our reception. He and his assistant, Carla, made sure our guests were on the dance floor throughout the night. Thank you, Mike, for everything!

  Amazing DJ!

  Mike and his team were amazing! From the moment we booked him, until our wedding, he was professional, accommodating, and very responsive to our emails and phone calls. He showed up on time and played the music just as we had discussed. My husband and I are Latinos, so it was very important to us to have a mix of both English and Spanish songs at our wedding. Mike definitely delivered a great mix of both. He was better than we had anticipated, and everyone at our wedding had nothing but great things to say about our music. Everyone was dancing from the moment the dance floor opened, until the last song.
  
  To make our day even more special, Mike created a mix of two songs for our first dance. We told him our intention to dance to both songs, and he made us the mix as a surprise. The best part is that he gave us the mix early, so we were able to practice our dance to the mix before the wedding!
  
  Lastly, Mike gave us a highlight reel of us and our guests dancing at the wedding. This was another surprise that we did not expect, and now we have a great keepsake from our wedding.
  
  I would recommend Lujan Entertainment for any event, but especially for your wedding!

  I cannot say enough awesome things about DJ Mike Lujan! When my husband and I started planning our wedding, we agreed that the music was one of our top priorities. As soon as we came across Lujan Entertainment, we were captivated by his energetic and smooth mixes. We were also shocked at how affordable his packages were, and he has multiple options to fit within a wide range of budgets. When we reached out to him to talk details, he was extremely responsive and professional. He even came out to check out the venue several months prior to the wedding so that he could get a feel of what the space would look like, and to show us the beautiful lighting options. We communicated frequently via zoom and email to make sure that we were always on the same page, plus he provided us with a very detailed and user-friendly google form where we could customize our music as little or as much as we wanted!
  
  On the day of our wedding, Mike's energy and professionalism were unparalleled! We even ended up having to move our ceremony indoors at the last minute due to rain, but he was still able get everything set up on time and sounding perfect. The reception was, for lack of a better word, LIT! He made sure to play all of the songs my husband and I had requested on our form, and he fulfilled requests from guests (even my 5 year old flower girl). Mike truly knows how to read the crowd, because all of our guests said once they got on the dance floor they just couldn't leave! I've been to a lot of weddings, and I know I'm biased here, but it was seriously the most fun dancing I have ever had thanks to his amazing music and upbeat vibe. If you want your wedding to be tons of fun for you all your guests, DJ Mike Lujan is your guy!!!

  I can't even begin to explain how amazing Mike was! He made everything so easy and played all the songs I wanted! My wedding guests were up dancing the second they could and didn't stop for the rest of the night all thanks to Mike! Even with a few changes the day of the wedding with speeches and announcements he did AMAZING! Best DJ! BOOK HIM!

We were deciding between 2 other DJs and Mike and so we did a video call with all three. Mike was down to earth and shared the passion my fiancé and I have for music. He understood our vision. He had a wedding day worklist and we filled it out with what he was asking but we also wanted him to be a DJ and really add his own style too. On the day of the wedding Mike was prepared, professional and we loved hearing our favorite songs. He set up music for our outdoor ceremony & cocktail hour, and seamlessly transitioned his gear inside for the reception.   Professional, responsive, and played all our favorites and built a fun playlist that kept everyone dancing and having an amazing time. Would strongly recommend! Good value too.

  A must for an all around great time

  I can’t thank Mike and Carla enough for making our wedding celebration the night we’d been planning for so long! He knew exactly what songs would get everyone dancing and there was not one person in attendance who wasn’t on the dance floor at some point throughout the night. We was also super attentive to our needs as we did want a wide variety of music styles, he was more than able to accommodate our bilingual/multicultural celebration.
