In love with lovesick

We hired LOVESICK to DJ and video our wedding and could not be happier with our experience. Keenan and Jon were enthusiastic and reassuring, both in our planning meetings and on the wedding day. They found creative ways to incorporate all of our personal touches and requests and helped the day run seamlessly, quickly adapting when necessary. The music perfectly intertwined my husband and I's favorite songs, and our first look video felt like a movie, taking us back to relive our wedding day!

Amazing DJ Experience

So nice we used them twice!

My sister got married in 2023 in Bucks County, PA, with Lovesick as their photographers! They were so exceptional to work with and the photos were so beautiful that when I got engaged, they were one of the first vendors we reached to. My wedding was in Upstate NY but Jon and the team didn't hesitate (or charge us more) to say yes to the travel. We ended up hiring Lovesick for both Stills and DJ and we couldn't have been happier. Jon + Jason take amazing photos that perfectly captured our day and were totally on board to forgo typically portraits. Keenan was our DJ and he absolutely nailed it. We were very particular with the music and provided over 12+ hours of "inspiration" which he perfectly distilled it into a balanced cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing mix. 100/10 would recommend Lovesick to anyone who is getting married in Philly or beyond!

Absolutely the best.

If you want a dance floor that is high energy, where your guests don’t want to leave as the party is ending, choose Lovesick. It’s really clear that Adam and the whole lovesick team are passionate about music - they were able to blend my wife and I’s disparate taste in music into one seamless playlist that was live mixed. One of our guests is a DJ and commented on how great the music was. No joke, I got heatstroke from dancing so hard/having so much fun at our wedding. More than that, Adam noticed the change and checked in on me to make sure that I was ok - who does that?? The absolute best DJ, that’s who.

Great personal attention from this DJ!

We worked with Adam, who was absolutely fantastic! We got MANY compliments from our guests about how much they loved the music and he worked hard to make the process and wedding night as easy and fun as possible for us. He put in an extensive amount of time to talk to us, get to know us personally, and really dig into our musical taste. His music selections were a fantastic blend of our specific recommendations and other songs that perfectly fit the vibe. He always played the right song at the right moment and you could tell he was smartly watching the crowd and responding to what they were reacting to in real time. The DJs were super adaptable to sudden changes in circumstances (it started pouring 15 minutes before our ceremony and we had to shift inside) and there to make helpful announcements and keep the flow of the night perfectly organized the whole way, while fading into the background ideally during the rest of the party. When we lost the script for an announcement we wanted to make, before we could even look for it.. he was there next to us with it pulled up on his phone, thinking two steps ahead about what we would need and how he could be helpful, even though he didn't need to. He really went above and beyond. All our dealings with Lovesick were great and we can't recommend Adam or Lovesick more highly!

Better Than I Could Have Expected

Lovesick DJ made our wedding into the best party of our lives! Everyone had so much fun and enjoyed the music from start to finish, especially when dancing started. Adam was extremely receptive on our multiple video calls leading up to the wedding. We shared our diverse musical tastes and those of our families (including Guyanese & Indian dance music on my wife's side) and they mixed all the genres into an amazing playlist that kept everyone moving the entire night. I could not have asked for a better DJ outfit - at least 5 people came up to me to say how great the music was! Book them for yours!

Amazing, FUN, professional

Working with Jon as our dj was simply delightful from our very first interaction. He is first and foremost an incredibly kind person who was enthusiastic and massively helpful. He and everyone we worked with at Lovesick were friendly and professional. Jon put our minds at ease throughout the process and was eager to get to know us as individuals and as a couple. He and Jonny translated our musical requests into the perfect daylong setlist. As our emcee and dj, Jon came up to us a several points in the night- to check on us and gently transition us to our next event. Seeing his happy face was always awesome and he was also able to remind us to take our time and enjoy our night. We can’t thank him enough for this. Our guests had a blast and we had the most magical evening. Cannot recommend enough!!! THANK YOU!

The BEST vendor we hired

We can’t say enough nice things about lovesick! Their prices were more than reasonable and their work is so fantastic. It felt like we took no time at all out of our day to do photos but they somehow captured every part of our day so perfectly and the photos are all so beautiful. It was such a gift to focus on eachother and our guests and still have such amazing photos to remember our day by. We would give them 10 stars if we could!

Not your average wedding DJ!

My husband and I were initially skeptical about a DJ as we’d been to enough weddings where it felt corny and stale. But Jon at Lovesick is none of those things and working with him was one of the best decisions we made!

Jon was truly amazing in so many ways but to name a couple:

- He is so thoughtful and knowledgeable about the flow of the event, and gave great advice about sequencing things like first dance, etc. The Lovesick team is always super responsive with questions as well.
- The music he put together for the whole wedding - but especially the cocktail hour/dinner - was incredible. We had multiple people coming up to us throughout the night complimenting the choices. We gave Jon a couple ideas but really couldn’t take credit because he created an amazing playlist off of that!
- He jumped in to go above and beyond - providing music and mic for our small ceremony, pouring champagne during photos, you name it!

We will now recommend Jon to any couple we know getting married and are so grateful to have had the chance to work with him!

Danced the night away!

Best DJ ever! As I’m sure most people would agree, music plays an enormous role in setting the tone of an event. My husband and I had very specific ideas on how we wanted our wedding to sound and feel. Jon was so supportive and collaborative. We had serval conversations with him in the months leading up to the wedding and again the week of to talk through the entire flow of the day. He really took the time to get to know what we like, not just as a couple but as individuals too. We already felt confident that he totally understood our style, but hearing it all play out at our wedding exactly as we hoped absolutely blew us away. The dance floor was packed the entire time and before the night even ended we were getting compliments on how great our DJ was. In the weeks since every conversation about our wedding has included several comments about how great the music was and what an amazing job Jon did. The epitome of non-corny DJs

The DJ was VERY important to me for our wedding day and I was nervous about making a decision because you can’t exactly experience a DJ’s work before booking. Luckily we had a wedding planner who recommended Lovesick and we could not be more pleased. We worked with Jon, who was willing to dive as deep as you wanted into your music selections or take complete control if you didn’t want to be involved. I think we struck a happy medium - we sent him over a playlist of songs we liked and told him we trusted him to read the crowd, which he did flawlessly. One of my favorite memories from our wedding was when my dad’s speech ended and Jon transitioned straight to one of my favorite songs - Rivers and Roads by The Head and the Heart. It was the perfect transition and just a feeling of “this guy gets me.” Throughout the night he balanced out what our personal preferences were with what would keep the majority of people on the dance floor. We really didn’t want to do an intro into the reception but thought we HAD to since it was a wedding and that’s what you do. Jon reassured us that it would be completely normal and not awkward to transition to a first dance without an intro and he was right. He checked in with us during dinner to let us know when speeches would be starting and during our first dance, father/daughter and mother/son dances, all you had to do was give him “the look” if you wanted to bail out early (which we did). If you’re looking for a DJ who will execute flawlessly on your preferences, not use weird radio host voices to MC, and would never dream of playing the Cha Cha Slide (unless that’s your thing and you ask for it), these are your people!!

Perfection!

Tom from Lovesick was incredible. From getting to know him during the planning process to the day of entertainment, he was an absolute joy to work with. He had our full trust going into the wedding day and absolutely delivered. Tom catered to the energy of the room the entire night and guests could not stop raving about him!

Overall, the entire Lovesick team was incredibly friendly and lovely to work with. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience or better DJ.

Book Lovesick! Don't look anywhere else!

We hired Lovesick to Dj our wedding and could not have been happier. My husband and I worked directly with Adam about 1-2 months before our wedding, and he really took the time to get to know our music styles, likes and dislikes, etc. You could tell that he was putting a lot of effort into making our wedding feel like "us" not just a typical wedding. The week of we had a final call to run through timeline, details, wedding party entrance, just about everything so that we weren't stressed out. Day of our wedding he totally nailed it - he played all our favorites and incorporated some pieces we would have never thought of but we're absolutely perfect. He totally crushed the last few songs as well - all our guests were dancing non-stop. Thank you so much to Adam and the team at Lovesick - you totally made our wedding!

It's true a DJ can make or break a wedding...

And with Tom from Lovesick, our Wedding was in the right hands. It's an understatement to think that the DJ is just another piece of the wedding. From the moment we spoke to Tom, we were excited by his friendly personality but even better was his ability to perform the job we paid him for. He controlled every single detail that he was hired to do and more. We spoke several times leading up to the wedding and really connected on the vibe we wanted musically. Then he took our list of songs and added some of his own flair and put together a wonderful evening full of energy. He's willing to do as much or as little as you ask of him without batting an eye or adding any stress. It was great to work with him and he's a true professional. Cannot recommend this guy highly enough.

The Coolest DJs

We worked with Jon from Lovesick as the DJ for our wedding. He is the level of cool that I aspire to be, while still being the friendliest, most approachable guy out there. He gave great suggestions for our cocktail hour and reception, as well as made sure that the wedding would flow in a way that made sense and kept people dancing. It felt like Jon really cared about our opinions and wanted to curate an experience that would make us truly happy, and he did just that. We've had so many friends tell us that our wedding was some of the most fun they've had in a while, and that they haven't danced so hard in recent memory. If given the choice, we would most DEFINITELY hire Lovesick and Jon all over again.

Magical Photos. Best Playlist Ever.

After experiencing Lovesick (as both DJ and photographer) at a close friend's wedding, we knew to consider them for ourselves. And after interviewing several photographers, it was CLEAR Lovesick was the right choice. We hit it off with their super knowledgeable yet unstuffy vibe, and loved their photojournalistic yet beautiful aesthetic. Most importantly, they stay until the very end of the night, whereas most photographers peace out 2 hours into the reception... well, we just got out first look back photos and ARE AMAZED. Lovesick captured the magic, love, fun, and everything else that can only be shared through a picture. The photos aren't forced, but they are joyous and gorgeous. And the dance floor pictures from the end of the night are some of my absolute favorites. Of course, Jon and Jay themselves are hilarious and a delight to be with throughout the entire day, making us feel special and comfortable and like ourselves all at the same time.
We also hired Lovesick as our DJ after realizing we'd rather not have a band in our somewhat limited dance floor space. Best. Decision. EVER. Adam worked with us throughout multiple, multi-hour calls to curate and adventure through what became the ultimate playlist. Our dance floor was packed and lively and I myself didn't stop dancing the ENTIRE night. Several weeks later, I'm STILL getting compliments from guests: "most epic wedding playlist ever" and "was the most fun wedding I've been to." Adam knew just when to play each song, reading the crowd perfectly and it was awesome... especially the Beetlejuice Conga line and spontaneous Mumford swing circle to close it all out. I will never forget this night, as it was the absolute best night of our lives, owing SO MUCH to the music.

Incredible music and coordination!

Adam could not have been more helpful throughout the process for our wedding. When we added some additional music for cocktail hour and the dinner part of our reception, Adam coordinated with the other vendors to ensure that everything ran smoothly. Our conversations regarding our style of music led to the most perfectly DJ'd night. Our family and friends were on the dance floor the whole night and couldn't stop complimenting how great the music was. We have loved so many of our vendors, but Lovesick is the top one we are recommending to all of our friends and family!

Tom & Doug crushed it at our wedding!

It took me over a year to sit down and write this review because I saved the best for last! Also because of procrastination, but you know . . .

As a former wedding photographer, I've encountered many wedding DJ's over the years and can say that I did not care for any of them. When it came time to select ours, it was a really hard choice because I felt like we had no options. Just when we were giving up hope, we attended the Lovesick Philly Wedding show and encountered Tom & Jon and that was it!

Tom was our point-of contact for the big day and he was such a huge help. I planned our wedding ceremony and reception; he offered invaluable advice about how to time everything and really helped us think through all those details to make the day flow.

My husband and I threw all kinds of weird music requests at them and Tom & Doug were able to wade through them all and create the best playlist. Friends were coming up to us all night telling us how awesome the music was. They respected our do-not-play list to a tee! We had so much fun dancing with guests that we forgot to cut our cake and never even made it to the photobooth. Thank you so much to Tom, Doug, & Tiffany for making our experience awesome- we cannot recommend Lovesick's DJ services enough!

Happy dance crowd!

The best!!!! Do not hesitate for a second to hire Adam! He DJ’d our wedding in August at Pomme and did such a wonderful job. We met the team at an event and were immediately impressed with the whole organization and their thoughts around our wedding. Adam instinctively got our “vibe” and was able to not just accommodate our range of music tastes, but also make his own suggestions and mix that were even better! From the initial prep calls where Adam not only had ideas for our timeline but also helpful suggestions for details around other aspects of the wedding (such as tips with photography & the officiant). The attention to detail he put into our prep calls was incredible, and Tiffany is super responsive with paperwork and questions. Adam was also timely and patient in answering any questions that we had (and we had a bunch!)
And most importantly, during the wedding, he was able to keep all of our guests dancing & having a blast! A few of my friends are DJs themselves and they had nothing but great things to say! Our guests were mostly in their late 20s to 50s (we are in our late 30s), and everyone was on the floor, including my 70 year old mother who didn’t stop dancing for a second! So many people told me it was the most fun wedding they had been to, which I couldn’t agree with more, thanks to Adam! (And the staff at Pomme)!

DJ and Photography

This was an absolute no brainer. I cannot express how amazing Jon, Jay, and Adam were throughout our entire wedding. From the moment we had our first talk with Lovesick, I knew this was perfect. The music was absolutely killer and no one left the dance floor. They listened to our wants and read the room perfectly and it was far beyond my wildest expectations. We’ve been to so many weddings with your average wedding DJ and Lovesick is just not average and will take the time to truly understand what you want for the big day. I cannot express how grateful we are and how many compliments we received on just the music alone. As for the photography, Jon and Jay were incredible and while it might seem a bit awkward to spend your big day with a lot of strangers buzzing around, they fit into the group naturally and were amazing. Hands down the best decision we made for the wedding!

I was living my high school dreams

When you wake up the day after your wedding, barely able to walk because your feet are so sore from dancing so much, and without a voice because you were singing to all your favorite songs, what more is there to say about Tom and his Lovesick Inc. Crew?

I've known I've wanted to book Lovesick Inc, before I even knew when I was getting married. At least two of the weddings Bill and I went to prior to getting engaged had the most phenomenal music and when I asked who the DJ was it was the same answer: "Lovesick".
Hands down, Lovesick was one of my most favorite vendors to work with. The natural relationship we built with Tom made our experience planning our wedding so memorable. His ability to cater to our guests but also fulfill the high school girl in me was phenomenal. I received so many compliments from the music and entertainment provided at our reception, supporting our long awaited decision to have Lovesick join our vendor group.
The only thing I'm sad about is the fact I won't be able to dance my ass off to the music selections Tom and his crew have selected for me. I have offered my services as a party starter so I'm hoping they take me seriously. LOL

Best dj ever

Lovesick was the absolute best DJ ever! They were able to effortlessly and seamlessly blend my husband's love of folk music and my love of party/dance music (aka Kanye and Rihanna lol). Everyone was dancing until the very end of the reception, at which point everyone was chanting, "One more song, one more song!" I hope I can have another party just so they can DJ for us. This was the best part of our entire wedding!!!

Kept the Dance Floor Packed!

One of our top priorities for our wedding was that the dance floor be packed, all the time. We wanted a wedding that was fun, and that no one wanted to leave. Thanks in large part to Tom from Lovesick, that's exactly what happened. Tom had the dance floor rocking, from start to finish. He eschewed the cliche wedding songs and played the music we liked, and the result was that we (and our guests) wished the wedding had gone on even longer.

Leading up to the wedding, Tom took the time to get to know us and our musical tastes. We shared a spotify playlist and had multiple phone calls, bouncing ideas off him about both the ceremony and party. His advice about everything from the order of events to what song to walk down the aisle to was on point, and his confidence and attention to detail made it easy to trust him. His mc'ing throughout the wedding helped make sure that our wedding flowed, and even the cocktail music was great and tailored to our tastes.

Tom is not only great at DJ'ing; he also knows a lot about weddings. His advice about how to structure our wedding (i.e. when to do the first dance, the toasts, etc.) was perfect, as were his ideas about music for the ceremony. He worked seamlessly with our wedding planner and was a pleasure to talk to throughout the process. He made us feel from the start like his goal was to get to know us, which is a great feeling as a couple. The results show that he did just that, and we couldn't recommend him more.

Redefined how I see the wedding DJ exp

They were absolutely perfect. Let me preface - I work at a record label and approached this entire DJ process with cynicism, thinking that we just need to find someone to do a "good enough" job with the playlists we crafted. I had no idea how pleased we could be.

We were looking for a "non-cheesy" DJ experience and found that + more. Both Tom and Jon are incredible guys and despite our wide-ranging taste in music (motown, folk, indie, pop, hip hop, classics, etc.), they understood our vibes with almost no effort on our part. They were even familiar with the deep cuts on my playlist. The whole thing was incredibly easy. They had *sound* technical recommendations for the more structured aspects of our reception (intro songs based on our vibes, when to fade out the first dance, etc.). The few surprises they had in store for us on the dancefloor really upped the ante. No unnecessary interactions with the crowd. We even forgot to tell them what we wanted for a "last song" and their selection was not only on-brand for our vibes, but it was just a uniquely fantastic finish.

Countless friends of mine said they were the best DJ's at any wedding they've ever been to. My brother-in-law said the last 5 songs played was the best "last 5" he's ever heard. I lost count of the amount of people who came up to me to praise these guys.

We were all too tired to go hard at the after party, which is honestly the biggest show of success in my mind (huge blessing in disguise, btw - in my opinion, if you can end the reception with everyone exhausted, you've won). Even our biggest party animals were just beat after dancing so hard.

Simply the best!

Having Jon and the team from Lovesick provide the music for our wedding was one of the best decisions we made when planning for our day. Jon is an awesome guy and really worked with us to curate our day. He took the time to talk to us, listen to us, learn our musical style, and made sure he was going to be able to represent us and have our guests dancing at our wedding. His recommendations and suggestions were so helpful, he is a true professional that I would recommend to everyone and anyone. Lovesick were THE DJ our wedding planner recommended and we are SO happy to have them on our team. Tom and Jon created an incredible night for us, from the ceremony through to the last dance. They were so thoughtful and fun and were somehow able to create playlists for the cocktail hour and reception that reflected both of our divergent musical tastes AND kept people on the dance floor the whole night. I lost count of the number of times I said to myself, “I love this song how did they know??” We really appreciated how active they were in talking with us to craft the entire night and how they encouraged us to not just stick with what we thought wedding music was “supposed” to be to so that the night really reflected us.

Incredible DJs

Lovesick made our wedding an unforgettable evening, and ensured that the entire night truly felt like “us”. On our first intro call with Jon, my husband and I knew we needed to work with Lovesick—they were clearly music experts, and understood/appreciated our taste :) We loved the idea that anything could be “wedding music”, even if it wasn’t something that would necessarily come to mind when creating a dance party playlist (eg Radiohead). As we got closer to the event, we had calls with Tom as well, and he helped us choose our processional and recessional music, our entry song, and walked us through the timeline with overall music choices for the event.
 
Tom and Jon are an amazing team—they arrived early, coordinated with our officiant, worked with our Dhol Player, and played a crazy awesome assortment of music throughout the cocktail hour and reception. Tom also found/directed us around the venue throughout the evening to make sure we were in the right place at the right time to keep the schedule moving along.
 
There were many times throughout the night where a song would start and my husband or I would just turn to smile at the two of them because they just KNEW it was what we needed/wanted to hear in that moment. You should also know that they are out there partying with you the entire time, jamming out to the music with you and your guests. They clearly have passion and talent—the dance floor was packed the entire evening, and we continue to get tons of compliments on the music.

We cannot thank them enough for making it such a memorable night. You cannot go wrong with Lovesick :)

Made my wedding day!

Tom and lovesick were incredible. I was apprehensive about getting a dj for my wedding originally because of the cheesy Djs at friends weddings but upon meeting with Tom I knew I was in good hands. Not only did he speak the perfect amount of time as requested but he killed it in his music choice. I truly could not have put together a better playlist, it was like he knew exactly what we liked even things we didn’t speak about! He also did an incredible job of not playing any song too long and was so intelligent with his selections and when he cut to certain songs that our dance floor was packed the entire night! Everyone was commenting on how amazing he was and myself and husband talk about throwing another party just so we can have him play again because it was that amazing. Lovesick was amazing and really made my wedding so much fun! I would suggest them to any and all brides!

Awesome DJs in Every Regard

Lovesick was fantastic in every step of the process. They asked questions, listened intently, and made a point to understand our personality as a couple and what our dream wedding looked like. They adopted our vision and then pulled it off seamlessly. What's more, they could not have been more friendly along the way. In terms of specifics:

Tiffany was very quick to respond to all of our questions leading up to the wedding. The team as a whole met all of our logistical needs - microphones, multiple music set-ups, etc. - without ever trying sell us things we didn't need. Jon offered great advice on how to structure our reception to be the most fun for us and our guests, though he was clear that he would happily do whatever my wife and I requested. Jon was interested to learn about all our favorite music, NOT just what we thought was "wedding material" or "dance songs." He took time to understand even the weirder fringes of our musical tastes (like my love of Aesop Rock, Talib Kweli, etc.). On the wedding day, Jon and Adam found just the right music to keep our guests excited and dancing, while also reflecting our personal tastes. They even snuck some of the more niche sounds into quieter parts of the evening, like dinner, for my wife and I to recognize and smile at while everyone else carried on as normal. It made the whole evening feel tailored to us, and at the same time a blast for everyone. Jon was attentive before and during the wedding to know our schedule in detail, so that he and Adam could raise and lower the tempo and energy at just the right moments. Our dance floor was packed the whole evening, even with some of our most shy and reserved relatives, and the night ended with our guests repeatedly chanting "one more song!" We could not have asked for a more attentive, talented, down-to-earth, and unique crew.

Best DJ Company!

When my husband and I were discussing what kind of DJ we wanted for our wedding, we both had a similar picture in mind: unique, fun, ability to tailor song selection to our style, and high quality equipment. Adam from Lovesick was amazing from start to finish. Before the wedding, he met up with us to get to know us both as people and as customers. He genuinely seemed to take interest in our lives, which is perhaps why he was able to deliver such a good performance as our DJ. Not only did he help with the DJ portion of wedding, but he also gave so many great tips and suggestions for everything else! The song selection was great, the equipment was top notch, and everyone ended up having a great time. Thank you for everything Adam!

Tom from Lovesick did an incredible job as DJ at our wedding. He was able to accommodate our requests from the ceremony to cocktail hour to the reception. He was able to deliver the right style of music for each phase of the day. We had a few surprise dances and Tom worked with us to make it happen flawlessly. Our most important requirement was to get people on the dance floor and he delivered. He has a great feel for the crowd and was able to put together a mix of music that satisfied everyone and kept the party going. He had multiple encore chants until the venue had to end the party. He also provided some invaluable suggestions during our planning sessions based on his experience at weddings. His professionalism and attention to detail were phenomenal and we are thrilled with our choice.

Tom literally made the night. Tom was incredibly accommodating from our initial phone call all the way up to the wedding day. Our guests came for us, but stayed for Tom. We had so many of our friends and family from all ages and types tell us how much they loved the DJ and the music - and three weeks after our wedding, guests are still messaging us to tell us how much they loved the music! He kept it fun and bright during the cocktail hour, classic and heartfelt during dinner, and exciting and fun when we were all dancing. Multiple people commented on how it was the most people they’ve ever seen dance at a wedding. He took everything we asked for and made it better. Go with Lovesick.

Hiring Lovesick Inc for photo, film & music was hands down the BEST decision we made for our wedding. Their services were our big splurge for our otherwise small budget wedding, but in terms of value, what we received and experienced is easily worth 10x what we paid. Everyone we worked with from start to finish was kind, creative, genuine, prompt, professional and fun to be around. They don’t over complicate the process and their wedding wisdom knows no bounds. Our friends and family danced all night and the photos and video received so far are so beautiful and captured us and the feeling of the day so well. I cannot give enough praise to these guys. Working with everyone at Lovesick Inc. from start to finish was easy, reliable, fun, professional and downright amazing. One of the biggest things I hated while wedding planning was having to deal with vendors not answering their emails quickly and working with Lovesick Inc. was a breath of fresh air. Tiffany would respond so quickly to every one of my emails and was an absolute pleasure to work with. We were able to meet Tom in person prior to booking him as our DJ and as soon as we left the meeting, we knew we wanted to book him. Tom is a musical genius and crafted the perfect playlist for what we wanted. He truly listened to what we said and was able to incorporate that into the music that he played at our wedding. We also didn’t know how to organize parts of the wedding and Tom was able to give us great ideas and we got so much positive feedback from guests on how the flow of the night went.I had so many people come up to me at the wedding and say that the whole night they felt like they were driving in my car because of how the music fit so perfectly for the vibe of our wedding. At one point my husband said that he was so happy because not a single person was sitting down and that’s the way a wedding should be – people were dancing the entire night. I actually didn’t even get to eat dessert because I did not leave the dance floor. Not only was Tom an absolutely amazing DJ, but working with him was a true delight – he was always happy, eager to help out when we wanted ideas, and so reliable. We did not have to worry about a single thing with Tom because he handled the wedding perfectly from start to finish. This recommendation does not even do Lovesick Inc. justice because to truly put into words how amazing they are is impossible. I would HIGHLY recommend Lovesick Inc. to anyone.

Really had no experience with DJs so asked multiple people for recommendations, kept hearing Lovesick, so decided to go with them, and so glad i did! They were easy to communicate and work with and i basically told them some "do not play" songs and had them just go with it. Tiffany was their administrative coordinator and she was helpful and responsive. Tom was my DJ and couldn't have been a nicer guy and played a GREAT set, kept everyone dancing, and handled the cocktail hour music, speeches, intros, etc. Couldn't recommend them more!

I cannot say enough good things about Tom and Jon from Lovesick. While I mostly worked with Tom leading up to our wedding, both were amazing together on the night of the wedding. Leading up to the wedding, I met with Tom in person to grab drinks and discuss my overall vision for the evening. We chatted for about 2-3 hours, oftentimes wandering into unrelated topics of interest and then back again to business. I had a very particular vision for how I wanted my reception to be, and Tom took that to heart. I sent Tom all of the music I’ve ever liked and he synthesized a reception based on all of my music interests. Once him and Jon had a good idea of what I had in mind, we chatted on the phone again to go over things. Tom just gets it. He spends the time to get to know his clients and then puts together a specially crafted music experience. I wanted my reception to feel like a club by the end of the night and Tom and Jon totally delivered. My friends had an absolute blast! Tom was dropping tracks I hadn’t heard but absolutely loved, and I have to think that is because he really took into account the music I loved and then adapted it to the evening. My friends all thought the music was amazing. Tom and Jon were having a ton of fun with us, dawning glow stick headbands and jamming out. I realize this might not be the vibe everyone wants at their wedding, but this is EXACTLY what I wanted. I have no doubt that whatever vibe you want, Tom and Jon or anyone else in their crew can nail it. Our wedding was perfect and I couldn’t be happier I chose Lovesick. My fiancé, at the time, came across Lovesick on instagram and then we were lucky enough to party with them at a birthday party in the city. They operated as a two man team. The music was hip and transitions were smooth. We had an interview with Jon over FaceTime and booked Lovesick for our wedding. They invited us to there wedding expo at the World Cafe Live, so much fun. Leading up to the big day we had two more interviews in which we discussed details of the music vibe we wanted, how to present and conduct the flow of events, and all necessary equipment needs. On the day of our wedding Jon and his partner were very attentive to us and when the time was right they brought the house down! It was comforting having such proffesionals leading our reception, and everyone enjoyed the dance floor.

Lovesick is perfect if you want to go a less traditional route. Jon really took the time to get to know us and what we were into, and after our phone calls, we felt like he was an old friend! Seriously, stop looking for other DJ’s now. Lovesick is simply the best in the business! We had multiple people tell us they were the best DJ they have ever heard at a wedding (and we couldn’t agree more). Our wedding day would not have been as incredible without them.

These guys take the time to understand exactly what you want regardless of the “wedding industry standard”. The rules don’t apply to Lovesick and they make sure you understand that. They will do anything you want. They are masters of their craft when it comes to creating and controlling the flow of an event starting from the ceremony all the way to the last song of the night.

Over the year and a half of wedding planning we did not have a single minor or major problem interacting with Lovesick. They’re super responsive, always on top of things, and always willing to help. Jon was amazing to work with. We always felt calmer and more confident after talking with him. He’s a super rare mix of professional, insanely knowledgeable, and down to earth. There was not a single thing Lovesick could have done better.

WE LOVE LOVESICK, INC!! They were awesome to work with! They took time to talk to us on the phone when we were searching for a DJ and Videography, they really wanted to get to know us and what we were looking for from a DJ and Videographer. After I filled out the Event Form, I got to speak to the Videographer and DJ on the phone again. They went over everything that would happen on the wedding day. When the wedding day arrived, they arrived on time and immediately got to work. Our videographers were so friendly, that we enjoyed hanging out with them all day. When the reception started, the DJ got the party going right away with how he introduced the bridal party. And then when it was time for dancing, the DJ kept people on the dance floor all night; which was exactly what we wanted. I would recommend Lovesick, Inc to everyone!!

Lovesick did a fantastic job for our wedding – we could not have been more pleased (in particular, Tom, who was our lead DJ and primary contact). We used them for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception and they did an outstanding job on every part. The ceremony was outdoor and we had a long processional and a few song changes that could have gotten complicated. The sound quality was great and all the music and sound for the ceremony went flawlessly. The music for both the cocktail hour and reception were on point with our tastes and what was right for the event and the crowd. Tom listened to us completely about our styles and tastes but was able to run with it. The musical choices were great the whole way through – from early dancing songs when the older crowd was still around, dinner, and dance choices. So many people have commented on how great all the music was. There was not a single song that did not go off well on the dance floor (or at least that I remember, if there was I imagine Tom mixed to the next without it ever being noticeable). Lovesick is super responsive and really helpful in designing your day. Tom was helpful and laid back about helping us layout our timeline, making song suggestions where we wanted them, and being generally supportive. They were a huge part of our wedding being the phenomenal experience we hoped for and we highly recommend them.

There is so much to say about the crew at Lovesick, but I'll try to keep this short and sweet! If you're considering booking them, just do it. Admittedly, I'm writing this before seeing our finished product (perhaps I will update you all then), but I have nothing but confidence. The whole day, Jon and Jason were fun to be around, kept things very loose, and honestly worked their tails off. I don't think they missed a moment of our day (but I'm sure they'll edit out a few ;-) ), and they worked really well with our photographers.

One thing that stood out - these guys seemed like they genuinely had fun. On such a special day, that means a lot. They stayed well after the reception to make sure they didn't miss anything (for what it's worth, that's up to YOU to keep doing cool [stuff])... But I can't imagine booking a different vendor. Literally, not a single complaint.

Truly blown away by Lovesick. From our first phone conversation right through the big day, Lovesick delivered above and beyond. Tom, Jon, and Jason were phenomenal.

I found them via internet searches looking for a non-traditional wedding DJ. My husband and I wanted our music tastes to be captured, while at the same time making sure our guests had a great time. Tom delivered above and beyond. Every time I looked at the dance floor during our reception, it was packed. Almost every guest I stopped to chat with commented on how much they loved the music and complimented me on our DJ choice. Even my mom, who had her doubts as she is quite traditional, was floored by the amazing music. They also provided the music for our ceremony and it was perfectly executed, right down to our non-traditional choice for a recessional song. Cocktail hour music was also on point too, of course, and that was due in a large part to our phone conversations with them and how much time Tom and Jon spent getting to know us and our tastes. They were just so excited to help us project the perfect vibe for our wedding day.

Lovesick provided the videography for our wedding as well. When my husband and I first started planning, we didn't plan on a professional videographer, but after finding Lovesick and looking at their work, we were sold. Jon and Jason were so calm and professional. It was amazing how they just slipped into our group so seamlessly and captured so many great moments. None of us were used to being filmed, but we felt at ease very quickly. Our sneak peak video is beautifully shot and rendered, and I can't wait for the final piece.

My last comment is that they are just a very fun group of guys to spend the day with, and that was definitely appreciated on such a high-stress day. Top-notch professionalism and a sense of humor are a perfect combination in wedding vendors!

Tom was so easy to work with and had a really great style of getting to know us as a couple and what sort of music we like. My wife and I chose Lovesick for both DJ and photography services. We really could not be any more pleased with how the day went. We wanted a photographer that was more documentary and artistic … not taking cookie cutter posed photos. And the results were amazing! Wedding can be extremely stressful, but Jon and Jason made sure to the extra mile to keep our minds at ease and comfortable. My friends loved the photographers. “Totally hipster photographers!” 
And Adam, our DJ, was extremely accommodating to our music choices. We did not have the crowd that was infused with dance fervor, but the mix and blending were spot on. I got so many rave reviews of how cool the music was. (And how the music didn’t deafen everyone’s ears!) Win!

So cool and so professional. You don't always find that combination! I wrote a plea on my Facebook page for our friends to recommend "non-cheesy DJs," and I am so glad someone suggested Lovesick. They could probably play a killer wedding with their eyes closed, and they really took the time in a few phone calls to talk with me and my husband about what we did and didn't want our wedding to feel and sound like. The first song Jon played at dinner was Chet Faker's cover of "No Diggity" - it perfectly set the tone for the cool, smooth, fun night ahead. Once the dance set started, the floor was packed until the very last song.

There is nothing bad we could possibly say about Lovesick. They team was extremely responsive and creative with ideas about how to make our day even more special. And when a family emergency meant we were out of town the two weeks leading up to our wedding, Jon and Jason took care of arranging all of our photo locations, and even recreated our first date as part of our first-look photo session. You know you've picked the right team to work with when they suggest you invite friends to have drinks with you after your first look, and then joke around with your friends the whole time. Jon and Jason fit right in and made everyone comfortable the whole time during our wedding day. The pictures are super creative and not your standard wedding photos, which we both wanted. In terms of music, Adam was amazing. He really captured what we wanted, and everyone had a great time dancing the night away. We will be recommending Lovesick to anyone and everyone looking for photographer/DJ in the future.

If you're looking at Lovesick, LOOK NO FURTHER - you've found the best out there. Lovesick photographed and DJ'ed our wedding in October of 2016. From the first inquiry about working with them, to shooting some awesome engagement pics, to phone calls, to the final moments on the big day, we could not be happier to have had the opportunity to get to know these guys! They are professional, hilarious, talented, and just plain old good people. They love what they do and genuinely care about their clients and helping them create the best day of their lives. The weather on our wedding day was less than ideal (think drizzling in and out all day), but Jon, Jason and Tom kept everything moving, adjusted where needed and worked so well with our other vendors. Lovesick Inc is AWESOME! We met with Tom in person in the beginning of the process, and then had follow up phone calls and emails. They were so easy to work with and you can tell that they love what they do. From the ceremony to the end of the night, they kept everything flowing perfectly. They tweaked our timeline of events, which really helped keep the energy going. Once dinner wrapped up, the party continued, and our family and friends had a blast. So did we! We danced all night, and the crowd even requested an encore. I cannot recommend them enough - Tom and his assistant did an amazing job!!!

We cannot emphasize enough how good these guys are at what they do! We had an amazing time at our wedding and the music was absolutely perfect. Everyone was on the dance floor all night, which was exactly what we had hoped for. Tom also provided a lot of guidance with the planning of the sequencing of events and timing, which was really above and beyond the call of duty. I never envisioned having a DJ at my wedding and had been to few weddings with DJs. However, when we made up our wedding budget, bands we liked did not make the cut. So we went to DJs, and I was terrified. Lovesick was one of 3 DJs recommended by our venue. They really only need to recommend 1 because in our minds, Lovesick is amazing. They were probably a better choice than us than a band would have been. The artists we wanted to have played at our wedding included: New Kids on the Block, the Backstreet Boys, Justin Bieber, Green Day, Vampire Weekend, Adele, Ben Folds, Tupac, Hozier, Bruce Springsteen, Fetty Wap, and, Bone Thugs and Harmony. We wanted none of the traditional wedding/party songs. Not only was Lovesick up to the task, but they enjoyed this task. They are also so professional that if someone wanted very traditional wedding music played, they would do it wonderfully. Finally, Lovesick is expensive as compared to many DJs. However, they are totally worth it. They treat each wedding as a unique event and are super easy to work with. It was totally worth any extra money we may have spent over other DJ options.

We recently used Lovesick at our wedding at the cairnwood estate. Absolutely amazing! Great communication and very reasonable pricing. Very professional and easy to work with. We gave Tom some songs that we said we liked and he was absolutely spot on with the "feel" of our wedding and the style of music. The progression of music as the night went on was perfect. He had three generations of people dancing for hours! There was never a lull between events throughout the night. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! My husband even hugged him at the end of the night!!

I cannot rave about everyone at LOVESICK enough! I booked them for DJ and video services and paid to have them travel to my wedding in Connecticut. Let me tell you--worth every penny!! Everyone I interacted with at Lovesick was professional, fun and best of all they dissolved any stress I had about how my day would go! The video products that they produce are the best videos I have ever seen. They are high quality, creative, hollywood looking productions. The feedback that I've gotten from friends and family regarding my video has been outstanding and I owe it all to the guys at Lovesick. I am so happy that I booked them and that I will have these amazing videos to view for the rest of my life! The DJ services were amazing. They took the list of songs I like and genres of music I mentioned and created an outstanding musical event. They were able to read the crowd on what everyone wanted and created such a fun night! I will start off my review by stating plainly: hiring Tom and Team Lovesick to DJ our December 2015 wedding was *without a doubt* the best decision we made (besides, you know, the actual deciding to get married part). As two people who value the art of a good mix, whose music taste may skew a little outside of the mainstream, and whose relationship has been punctuated by songs of great sentimental value, we knew we didn't want to hire a typical wedding DJ. From the moment we Skyped with Tom, and bantered with him about all sorts of music--from the Ramones to the Ronettes to David Bowie and everything in between--we knew we found someone who would respect our tastes, but also create a great party vibe. And to say that he did would be an understatement. Six months later, guests are STILL talking about how fun our reception was, and that was in large part due to the fact that Tom had such an intuitive way of reading the crowd. The dance floor was packed the entire night and everyone there-- young, old, into the same music as my husband and I, those with tastes that veer into a different direction--danced until The Pixies' "Where Is My Mind?" played to close out the evening. (An excellent suggestion from Tom.)

For us, the most important part about hiring wedding vendors was to find people who shared the same values as we did--people who you can trust, who you'd be happy to call friends. Tom and the team at Lovesick were exactly that. They went out of their way to make us feel supported and calm throughout our wedding journey--from email check-ins in the weeks leading up to last minute Skype sessions. My husband and I are so grateful for Tom for everything he did to make our wedding the rock-and-roll dance party of our dreams. If you're looking for a DJ who will treat your wedding as the unique experience that it is, rather than some cookie cutter affair, you have found the absolute right team with Lovesick. We cannot recommend them highly enough!

We could not have been happier with the guys at Lovesick. First off, they’re just SO cool. In preparation for the day, Jon was wonderful to work with and he encouraged us to think outside the box and not settle for a cookie-cutter day. On our wedding day, Jon and Jason were amazing to spend the day with. They’re fun and fit in seamlessly with our wedding party as we got ready. They both absolutely added to the day. On top of that, they’re incredibly talented. A few days after the wedding they dropped a “sneak peak” on Instagram. Our wedding was the happiest day of our lives, and they somehow managed to capture that in just a 15 second video. I can't help but leave another review for these guys after receiving my full length wedding video. The quality of the production is incomparable. I had given Tom an extensive list of favorite songs as part of the DJ process, and the team somehow knew to use the absolute best options to enhance the incredible moments of that day. My family mentions the drone shots almost daily since they were out of this world, (I didn't know Worcester looked so good from the air?!) and there was a golf compilation that followed the trajectory of the ball <3 Crazy awesome.

One important piece that fell out of this final cut was Lovesick's ability to capture my sister as both my professional photographer and maid of honor during the whole day. So many thanks and love to Tom, Jon and Jason for their amazing work and incredible product, which has my friends already committing to using their services.

My wife and I are very pleased with how Adam helped us construct our DJ set as well as how he performed at our wedding. His personality, experience and knowledge made it so easy to build a great collection/network of music to play at our wedding. He was really nice, down to earth and his method of gathering and assessing our so-called "Music ID" was evident on the big day when many of our favorite tunes to listen and dance to were played in an ever-so tasteful fashion. I read a review somewhere that described Lovesick as the cool well dressed Indie guys with skinny ties, tattoos, and converse shoes. This is what originally intrigued me about them, as I would describe my husband and I as a mix of both Indie and just plain all over the map. Lovesick weren’t *just* the cool Indie guys. Lovesick managed to be everything.

Our experience began with a 40 minute phone call between me and Tom. The first 20 minutes of our call, we talked about tattoos (my husband is an artist), music, and Philadelphia. Talking to Tom was like catching up with an old friend. He was super friendly and laid back, but also really excited and passionate about nailing down exactly the vibe we wanted to go for. They were great at communicating and answering emails back within a day if not an hour or two after I pressed send.

The day of, they were fantastic. Somehow they managed to combine my crazy mix of top 40 with Indie, cliche wedding songs we requested (you're welcome, Mom), and some 2000s era house music to make this fantastic selection that people were dancing to nonstop all night. They were awesome about reading the crowd to see what they were into, and there were no bad transitions that made people leave the dance floor. They were great about announcing our bridal party, and were amazing at helping coordinate my husband’s dance with his 3 daughters to one song, announcing each girl to come up at a different minute mark. How can you not love these guys?! Their energy and presentation were just awesome. They were so attentive to our requests, it made us feel like we were the only couple they were working with. These guys were worth their weight in gold after hearing from all of our guests about how amazing the music was. They’re more than DJs, they’re professional entertainers. You won't regret hiring Lovesick for your wedding, I promise.

My husband and I want to re-iterate all the wonderful things already mentioned about Lovesick. We were initially hesitant to book them as they were more expensive than the other company we were looking into, but we decided to cut back in other areas as we really felt from our first meeting Lovesick was worth every penny. We initially met with Tom, and then had a second meeting with Tom and Adam, and in both meetings we felt like they are truly interested in helping you have the best night possible. They really try to understand your taste, and go above and beyond to capture hard to find music (such as the theme tune to my husband’s favorited British soccer team!). All of our guests raved about the music and many said it was the best dj at a wedding they have ever seen.

Finding Lovesick was a wedding prayer answered. For those out there who tend to cringe at the typical wedding DJ, please give Lovesick a call. We worked with Tom (and the lovely Tiffany in lead-up) and we couldn’t have been happier -with the experience. Using our getting-to-know-you conversations and please play/do not play lists as a starting point, Tom curated an incredible (non-cheesy) soundtrack to our most special day yet, merging our styles, creating a seamless flow and keeping the dance floor PACKED throughout the evening. Tom helped us shape a timeline that worked well for the elements we wanted to include in our reception and our venue’s dinner service – Lovesick truly knows how to rock a Congress Hall wedding. All in all, Lovesick DJs are awesome – totally cooler than me and my husband will ever be but they definitely made us seem a bit cooler on our most amazing wedding day.

My husband and I planned our Philadelphia wedding while living in NYC, so we didn’t have the ability to meet with many of our vendors in person. Our wedding coordinator (Caitlin from JG Domestic) recommended Lovesick Inc., and we are so glad she did! They were absolutely amazing to work with—easy-going, extremely knowledgeable, and spot-on for our non-traditional (slightly Hipster) wedding.

Even though we were planning from NYC, Tom took the time to get to know us as a couple, our favorite music styles, as well as our overall vision for the wedding. He was a huge help guiding us through various music selections (i.e., father/daughter dance, processional/recessional music, etc.), as well as helping us set—and follow—the agenda for the evening.

I would highly recommend Lovesick, they were a huge part of making our wedding as amazing as we had imagined.

Our DJ (Adam) was very laid back and easy to work with. He was like a musical scientist and he and my husband had an instant rapport in setting up the playlist. It was one of my favorite parts of wedding preparation, because it basically took care of itself!

And when the day came, all the details were accounted for and the music fit exactly what we were looking for each step of the way. It was a blend of my and my husband's (very different) musical tastes and set the mood perfectly for the entire evening.

Lovesick was our DJ for our wedding in July -- but they were really so much more! In the months leading up to the wedding, Adam helped us work through our day. Whenever we wanted, we he was happy to help us decide what music would work and what wouldn't, and really encouraged us to put our unique spin on our wedding.

He did the music for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. He helped us set the tone and, most importantly, the flow and schedule of the wedding. We really wanted it to be a big party -- and he found music that helped us get there. If we could give 1,000 stars they would all go to Lovesick.

When we began planning our wedding my fiance was anti-any DJ. And I couldn't blame him, we were both weary of paying a lot of money for a cheesy voice on a microphone handing out inflatable guitars.

And then we found Lovesick.
And then we got really, really excited about our wedding.

These guys get it, and then come the day of your wedding they blow it out of the water.

We hired Lovesick for both our DJ and Cinematography. Tom and Jon really understood the type of wedding we were hoping for, offered some awesome ideas and brought everything together seamlessly. They were also a ton of fun to work with.

We didn't want our day to end, and they are a big reason why. Thankfully, we have the amazing videos they created to remember it by.

Loved these guys!! They did a phenomenal job. Highly recommend them. They were awesome for the following reasons:
- I was nervous/concerned about all sorts of things related to music, microphones, dancing, timing, etc. I spent 20 minutes on the phone with Tom, and when I hung up, I felt FANTASTIC. I was absolutely sure that everything was going to be AMAZING. And it WAS! He was incredibly understanding, reassuring, took all my concerns to heart and immediately came up with creative solutions and recommendations (which were all exactly right!!!). He made the planning part a lot of fun. It is clear he has done this a million times and knows what works, but he is also a people person and an absolute pleasure to talk to.
- We had an eclectic assortment of music requests from various family members and weren't sure how/where to fit everything in. Tom and Jon did a great job at finding appropriate times for various types of music and had people out dancing. Lots of compliments from guests on the music!
- I had asked Tom where they would set up during our outdoor ceremony and he told me "in a bush." I have to admit, I actually have no idea where they were because I never saw them during the ceremony or cocktail hour. But the music was playing! So I guess they really were were hidden in the bushes somewhere!
- They implemented everything we discussed perfectly, did not forget anything.
- They are responsive and professional. I never had any difficulty getting in touch with them. Their assistant was great at providing info and confirming payment receipts, etc.

Lovesick Inc was absolutely wonderful! We used them as our DJ as well as our cinematographer. We received so many compliments from them throughout the wedding as they really knew how to compile our music choices with what would get people up and dancing. They were very open to our eclectic music tastes and really made our song choices work for our wedding. There were a few songs that I hoped they would play (as I forgot to specifically request them) and was shocked when I heard them! Our guests were not only amazed by our DJ and music selection but also our video! We have received the 3-5 minute first look and cried while watching it quite a few times. We were taken right back to our wedding day while watching that video and we cannot wait for the full length version. They are very easy to work with and very accommodating. We had Lovesick DJ our wedding reception and they had everyone dancing the entire time - the dance floor was packed! my husband and I had a pretty eclectic mix of songs that we wanted to hear, and they did an amazing job creating a playlist that catered to everyone's taste at a 200 person wedding, while also weaving in our favorite bands so the entire time it still felt like us! Tom was so awesome and so helpful in creating our timeline and flow for the evening - we absolutely loved working with him. My family was very much of the mind-set that having a live band is the only way to go for a wedding, but after experiencing Lovesick at our wedding they now think having a DJ is better!

Loved these guys!! They did a phenomenal job. Highly recommend them. They were awesome for the following reasons:
- I was nervous/concerned about all sorts of things related to music, microphones, dancing, timing, etc. I spent 20 minutes on the phone with Tom, and when I hung up, I felt FANTASTIC. I was absolutely sure that everything was going to be AMAZING. And it WAS! He was incredibly understanding, reassuring, took all my concerns to heart and immediately came up with creative solutions and recommendations (which were all exactly right!!!). He made the planning part a lot of fun. It is clear he has done this a million times and knows what works, but he is also a people person and an absolute pleasure to talk to.
- We had an eclectic assortment of music requests from various family members and weren't sure how/where to fit everything in. Tom and Jon did a great job at finding appropriate times for various types of music and had people out dancing. Lots of compliments from guests on the music!
- I had asked Tom where they would set up during our outdoor ceremony and he told me "in a bush." I have to admit, I actually have no idea where they were because I never saw them during the ceremony or cocktail hour. But the music was playing! So I guess they really were were hidden in the bushes somewhere!
- They implemented everything we discussed perfectly, did not forget anything.
- They are responsive and professional. I never had any difficulty getting in touch with them. Their assistant was great at providing info and confirming payment receipts, etc.
These guys are really terrific. Cannot say enough good things!

Nothing short of AMAZING! I don't even know where to begin!! We used Lovesick as our videographer, which was the best decision we made! From the first time meeting Jon at Surf Taco to the wedding day, everything was absolutely perfect. The whole staff was extremely friendly and professional who really LOVES what they do, because it shows! We absolutely loved working with all of them and would recommend them to anyone who is looking for a great company who is all about customer service, very professional and really amazing at what they capture and are able to produce--we are anxiously awaiting our "first look" preview to our video & we know it will be amazing! Highly highly highly recommend!

AMAZING!! Lovesick was the best DJ ever! We wanted a non traditional wedding with the music that we love to hear. Tom had us make a list of songs and genre of music we wanted and they played ONLY that! It was perfect. Tom & John executed it perfectly! They played my requested song for our ceremony, music for the cocktail hour & reception. All my guests were up and dancing & loving them! I would definitely recommend them if you are looking for an alternative and unique DJ that doesn't play cheesy electric slide or any of those other corny dances! Tom,thank you so much for making our wedding awesome & Out of this World! YOU ROCK!

Tom and John DJ'd our wedding. They are consummate MCs--true professionals at keeping it all moving. From prep to the day of, they helped us get exactly what we wanted. Everybody was on the floor all night because Lovesick know how to figure out your taste from a play/do not play list and know how to please the crowd in the moment. And they got a table full of DJs up and dancing without any "I would haves." Can't recommend them enough.

THESE GUYS ARE AMAZING!!!!! im speechless at their abilities. Not to mention they are such a pleasure to work with. All the pre wedding meetings at Bar Ferdinand were so much fun. I actually miss them! My friends had an amazing time dancing and the video they put together was even better.

We asked you to run the show and you killed it. We knew our taste in music wasn’t suited for a party atmosphere, but you managed to play songs we loved while keeping the dance floor packed, and you sent us off in style. Talking about your taste in music—especially to a live DJ—can be intimidating, but not with Adam. From day one it was all about what we wanted and how we could make it work. Even with a small venue, our wedding was a party all night. On the biggest day of our lives, you came through with an incredible set. Thank you for all you put into it.

My husband is a huge music guy. He loves heavy metal. Me? Not so much. Complete opposite, actually.

The mission: Find a DJ who would carefully blend both of our music tastes, while ensuring our guests had enough of a variety to dance the night away to. Oh, and let's through in a filmogrpaher while were at it. ;)

In step Jon, Tom and Cenna. All are incredibly talented. Jon and Tom spent a great deal of time getting to know our tastes and expectations, and did so with a high level of patience, all the while leveraging their insights and expertise. What's neat about this duo? Jon appreciates dance music and Tom gravitates to more of the punk, rock and heavy metal genres. So, both my husband and I had someone on our side during the planning process, and as you might imagine, the collaboration and end experience was a huge hit. Cenna and Jon did a fantastic job with our filmography. They nailed it with the song they used for our theme music and captured so many awesome moments form the wedding.

I highly recommend Lovesick Inc. You will not be disappointed and the investment is beyond worth it. Mission accomplished!

Adam had us dancing the night away. We had a casual, BBQ wedding and he got people up on the dancefloor and everyone raved about how much fun they had. Adam set up a mic for the ceremony, which was very helpful. We had a call with him a few days before the wedding so he could gauge our musical taste (or lack thereof) and the music he played was perfect for us. We were very happy with Lovesick and would recommend them to anyone getting married who wants great music!

Adam was the best DJ we could have asked for. For our wedding my husband and I were not looking for the traditional wedding music service. We wanted someone who understood all genres of music. Adam had us research and think about the music we liked. He then sat down with us for an hour or so and went through so many different songs to see how we felt. At the wedding he is extremely sensitive to the crowd. He would change music depending if people were on the floor or not. He takes his art very personally and it shows in his work. At the end of the night everyone was telling us how wonderful our DJ was. They felt that all the music they like was played and no one felt pressured on the dance floor. We could not be happier with Adam.

The Awesome DJ Adam-

Thanks so much for everything. We can't tell you how many compliments we received on the music selection. The music at dinner was so good that we made a mental note to ask you who some of the artists were. Then, during the dancing portion of the evening, you played something for everyone (e.g., we don't think Leaya's parents have EVER danced to anything except for that night) and you made sure the dance floor was never empty. Finally, you killed it with the last set of songs.

Simply put: the night was perfect and we couldn't have done it without your help. Thank you so much.

Adam was the absolute best. Erin and I are big music fans, and Adam was the perfect choice to accomidate our needs. He was extremely accomidating, making time to meet with us at least 6 times leading up to the wedding where we talked about our likes and dislikes, played us samples, and helped seamlessly integrate our punk rock style with some amazing dance mixes that kept the party going all night. Adam DJ'd the ceremony (processional, recession, etc), and gave us plenty of totally unique choices for ceremony music (that on several occassions freinds told us they were gong to steal for their weddings). He did a great job announcing everyone, and once it was time to dance Adam got everyone out of their chairs with great dance, hip hop and punk mixes. The music was awesome, and kept everyone moving all night because he played great songs, not because he had to MC and steal the show. If your looking for a DJ to keep you wedding moving because the music is rocking, not because he spends the night trying to talk everyone out of their seats, Roots and Grooves is the DJ to choose. I would recomend Roots and Grooves to anyone!

We were referred to Roots & Groove by our photographer. We were looking for a DJ who was inventive, creative and just played great music that kept our guests dancing all night long. Adam really worked with us to understand the type of music we like, whether it was music for dinner or dancing. He was able to get a great understanding of the music through a couple conversations, and produced a wide variety of music that we were looking for at our wedding. He created a vibe that met our vision. He is extremely professional and listened to what we wanted... it was evident in the music he played throughout the night.

Besides the fact that Adam and his assistant Mandy really played great music and had the entire place dancing the whole night, Adam is one of the nicest, most relaxed people to deal with... He put us at ease with his laid back personality and confidence. We were totally impressed with his understanding and ability to capture the atmosphere we were looking for at the reception.

We would absolutely recommend him to anyone who is looking to keep their guests out of their seats and on the dance floor.

Adam is the best! Guests asked if we made a giant playlist for him because his musical selection was EXACTLY what we like to listen to. Adam spent over an hour with us just getting to know us and our taste in music. He is like a human pandora, figuring out our likes and dislikes like that. He made us feel confident during the reception that we would never have to ask him to play something specific, we just waited for it and sure enough he put it in on his own. There was NO ONE sitting down, everyone was dancing all night!

Adam, AKA DJ Prof, is incredible! He took the time to really understand the music tastes of both of us. As a result, I spent most of the night excited about each song and busting a move on the dance floor. All of our wedding guests were up dancing the entire night! Adam took extra time to scope out our venue space beforehand to make sure that he brought the right equipment to make the sound quality perfect. This is not your average DJ! He set the tone of the evening for the perfect downtown, swanky vibe we wanted!

Roots and Groove did one absolutely fantastic job DJing our wedding! They paid such attention to our love for music and helped us create the perfect playlist for both dinner and dancing. Everyone was up dancing, and we had the most fun we've ever had at a wedding. So happy it happened to be ours! Our favorite part? There was never a lull between songs! Never a chance for guests to stop dancing and find a distraction to get off the dance floor. The party was all about dancing, being together and celebrating our love. That's exactly what Adam and John gave us and we couldn't be more grateful.

After an exhaustive search for a totally unique, non-wedding “wedding DJ” for our December 30, 2011 celebration, we stumbled across Roots & Groove via a Real Weddings feature in The Knot: Philadelphia. The bride and groom interviewed for the article had a great vibey reception with a gypsy jazz theme and we instantly latched onto the specific vision and the way the DJs apparently played a range of awesome tunes from vintage to contemporary. We, too, had a very specific vision for our day organized around an Art Deco theme. We knew we wanted a ceremony playlist that would be old-timey and classy, as well as a 1930’s cocktail hour and a diverse but soulful reception that would keep guests on their feet. A lot of other DJs we queried just didn’t “get” the 1930s thing or worse – didn’t know what Art Deco meant! Then I emailed Adam Levy, AKA “DJ Prof.” An instant (platonic) love affair was born.
We agreed to meet the next week in Adam’s basement studio in his then Chestnut Hill home. His partner, John, joined to spin some grooves while Adam took copious notes based on our reactions. In short, our screening was really them interviewing us for nearly two hours, sparing no biographical detail. It really was unlike any other vendor meeting out there. They talked to us about our musical tastes and backgrounds, what we absolutely needed and absolutely did not want. Adam and John make a great team and manage that blend of professionalism, personality, and warmth perfectly. That night, we went home and booked them for our date immediately without a second thought.
Over the course of the next nine months, Adam corresponded with us regularly about song ideas and gamely read through our neurotic and extensive Google Doc with “must plays,” “would like played,” and all of our dedications to friends and family without missing a beat. He’s a true guru and an artist so you’re not just getting a DJ with Roots & groove: you’re getting a creative and dynamic force of nature. Adam made custom mixes, loaded a zillion carts of music for our exceptionally long reception, and even made a truly epic father/daughter dance mashup that brought the house down. (This is all in his “spare time” mind you. They are also club DJs and play showcases in the Philly area so definitely go check them out.)
Adam and I had at least two very long phone conversations in the final few months of planning, going over every last detail of the wedding day timeline and making sure the songs fit the vibe we were going for with our ceremony. Here’s a nice fact: though the Bride and Groom are Adam’s chief concern on the happiness scale, he is also an incredible diplomat. He needs to add “parental envoy” to his resume because he diffused a few rather tense situations and his suggestions offered a great compromise so that everyone ended up happy with the result. Adam has opinions and when you ask him, he’ll give them. We highly suggest asking at least a couple times. You won’t be sorry.
Getting down to the wire, we even had a final in-person consult in their new studio space in East Falls. That last meeting ran about 2.5 hours. They are dead serious about making your wedding a memorable and unique event so don’t expect it to be a “hands-off” experience…because if that’s what you want, then you should be hiring some Average Joe wedding DJ since it would be a total waste of their talent. ;-) Collaboration is the hallmark of working with Roots & Groove in order to craft that super-awesome one-of-a-kind wedding celebration that will leave all of your guests breathless from exhaustion after dancing up a storm for five hours. Do yourself a favor and book them. They were the highlight of our wedding reception and we cannot recommend them highly enough.

Adam + John, where do I begin? Finding Roots + Groove was the best thing that could have happened to us when planning our wedding since my husband and I are music-heads at two opposite ends of the spectrum...I love old school R&B, dance music and hip hop, while my husband is into punk indie alternative rock and the Dropkick Murphys. How could a DJ or band pull this one off for both of us? Well, anything is possible if you go to Adam + John. They spent almost 3 hours with us in their studio at our first meeting and we have never had so much fun rocking out to our favorite music, including some songs we had never even heard before. They wanted to know what we grew up listening to, what our parents listen to, the vibe we wanted our guests to feel at the wedding, EVERYTHING. They took note and got to know us so quickly and luckily, still have love for me even after the million phone calls and emails between us while compiling my neverending list of songs for the wedding. At the end of the day, all we wanted was for Adam + John to do their thing, which is always amazing. Our list simply helped them get to know us even better and the MUST PLAY Michael Jackson was never an issue and always respected - ha! They are one of a kind and know music better than anyone. Our wedding was completely "us" (a difficult feat) and our family and friends are still raving about the music and how it made the entire night for them one of the best...and we couldn't agree more. Not to mention, three friends of ours booked R + G for their weddings after hearing me brag about them and they couldn't be happier! We also loved getting to attend weddings as guests, dance all night and see Adam and John more often!

Absolutely awesome. We had so many compliments on the DJ, despite everything else going wrong, we had great music. They played a great mix between songs I had asked for, and other music they thought I would like. The dance floor was wonderfully busy all night. I had a great time. They were very attentive during the wedding to make sure everything was going well, and met with us twice before hand to get all our details and music tastes. And, after we had to make alot of weather changes at the last minute, they were ready to accommodate us for whatever we needed.

Adam and John at Roots and Groove were amazing! From the very beginning of the process through the end of the wedding they were helpful, responsive, calming, and fun. They met with us in their studio as many times as we wanted. We listened to music together and talked a lot about what we liked so that they could get a good sense of who we are and what we were in to. They had great suggestions, and helped me develop a schedule for the elements of the wedding. Their MC'ing of the event was commanding without being overbearing or annoying, and the music! Oh, the music! We could not have been happier with the music. Every song they played we loved, even if it wasn't a song that we had heard before. It wasn't just us who were thrilled with the music either, our friends and family danced like crazy, and also complimented the DJ's. The dance floor was full all night, and John and Adam really seem to excel at playing the right music at the right time to set the mood and draw people out. I am just so happy with our choice of Roots and Groove for our wedding, and recommend them whole heartedly! I just cannot sing their praises enough.

We really appreciated the way John & Adam worked with us to pick out the music and personalize the whole experience. We had a lot of fun just talking music with them, and learning about some great stuff we didn’t even know existed.

As far as the “big day” went, the activity on the dance floor— and the range of ages represented there— really spoke for itself. Only one of the old fogies complained about the volume of the music— and, let’s face it, it wouldn’t have been a party if he hadn’t!

Not only was the music fantastic, but we also really appreciated how they rolled with everything (including young children experiencing meltdowns) and helped us through the moments when we weren’t really sure what we were supposed to do. We would heartily recommend them to anyone seeking DJs for a wedding— or any other type of event, for that matter.
