Planning a wedding on a short timeline from the East Coast to the Pacific Northwest coast near Seattle could have been incredibly stressful, but Matthew made the entire process seamless from start to finish.
He was extremely accommodating with all of the logistics, including traveling several hours to the coast for our ceremony. His guidance, professionalism, and calm presence helped make our wedding day smooth, heartfelt, and truly memorable.
Matthew created a beautiful ceremony that felt personal and genuine, and we could not have asked for a better officiant. If we could do it all over again, we would hire Matthew Love again in an instant. Highly recommend! -

I recently got to witness the magic of Matthew. A few weekends ago, he officiated the wedding ceremony for close friends and it was an unforgettable experience.
Matthew has a rare gift — he truly connects with people. He’s deeply curious about everyone around him, and that authenticity makes him incredibly powerful in this role. His words were thoughtful, personal, and moving. By the end of the ceremony, the entire group (though small) had tears in their eyes.
Even though the ceremony centered on the couple, Matthew somehow brought everyone into the experience. It felt intimate, meaningful, and unforgettable.

Working with Matthew for our wedding was truly a delight! He really cares about you as a couple and your story so that he can customize your experience. We had him as our officiant and DJ, so he was with us from start to finish at our wedding. We are so glad he was, because the venue screwed up and didn't provide us with a day of coordinator like we agreed upon. Matthew naturally stepped in to fill some of those gaps and we couldn't be more grateful! He saved us from so much stress on our special day. Amazing Officient!
Matthew was the best officiant we could have asked for our wedding. He made an effort to get to know us as a couple and our backstory and asked about our family so that our ceremony was perfectly tailored to us. He communicated with us through the whole process and helped guide us through our rehearsal which he made very fun and meaningful. Our ceremony was so beautiful and he took a selfie with us and the guests which was so great! I would recommend him for any event! -

Wonderful Experience from Love's Events
As someone who's been in the wedding industry for a while, I've got to tip my hat to Love's Events for their outstanding work at Amber and Jason's wedding. They handled everything — from coordinating and officiating to DJing and MCing — with such ease and professionalism, it was truly impressive. When we started looking for help with our wedding we weren’t entirely sure what we needed. We found Matthew and he offered to come to our house and sit down with us to explain what kind of services he provides and helped us to get an overview of how the night might go. After talking with him we really started to see the wedding take shape.
We ended up hiring Matthew to fill multiple roles in the wedding, which he did seamlessly. He even helped us to choose our vows and song choices. When we needed help he offered advice but when we knew what we wanted he respected our choices.
When the day actually came everything went perfectly. When small things came up Matthew adjusted on the fly to handle them. When I spilled my champagne all over the table Matthew was even faster than the venue staff to come help clean it up. As DJ he read the room and changed his playlist to match the energy level of the crowd.
In total he Matthew really did everything he could to make our night as special as possible and we would absolutely recommend him to anyone. -

Matthew was a consummate professional, warm, engaging, flexible and fun all rolled into one guy! We chose Matthew to be our wedding officiant, host, and DJ. During the months leading up to our wedding, we met with him several times to come up with the perfect combination of vows, songs and schedule for our big day. Matthew was incredible at our ceremony, and I(groom) especially appreciated how he incorporated our thoughts, feelings, and mental state into the ceremony. We truly enjoyed the ceremony and got a ton of compliments on our vows! Matthew worked with us to make a "public" version that really wowed our guests, but also let us have an intimate moment while at the altar.
Matthew is a great connector and he always had a way to keep the day moving forward. Whether that be at our rehearsal when we asked to switch our call/response to a monologue, or when our family's were less-than-willing to fill up the front rows at the ceremony. I have waited three years to write up something because our experience was so special it's difficult to articulate. My now husband Travis and I met Matthew at the now defunct (due to Covid) Serious Pie in Seattle and I still think of him every time I drive by. The next time we got together was at our newly acquired small farm way out in Enumclaw where Matthew met my children, Sean and Ryleigh as well as Travis's visiting parents. Matthew would spin his wedding magic in such a warm, endearing manner we became ever more excited and confident in his abilities to make magic. When it came time for a two day one night wedding weekend at Wellspring Spa near Mt. Rainier, not only did Matthew officiate, DJ, emcee and be the unifying presence of the experience masterfully, but THE most special thing he did (and Sean and Ryleigh speak of this as their FAVORITE part of the wedding) was taking them a few miles away to breakfast to give me the peace, quiet and time a bride wants on her big day. That was Matthew's idea, the highlight of the weekend for my kids and an extraordinary gift to me and Travis. This is beyond exceeding expectations; this is truly the heart of a man who could not be doing anything else in the world more perfect for him than THIS! That's what makes him completely different; a sincere passion to connect and facilitate from the heart. Don't keep him at arms length or at the periphery of your closest loved ones if you want that same magic. This is among the most personal intimate experiences of one's life and Matthew couldn't be more ideal to help craft your very best! -

Highly recommend Matthew Love to help curate the wedding of your dreams!
We hired Matthew to be our wedding officiant in 2019... and got married in 2022. Needless to say we stuck with him and his work through all three years of cancellations and setbacks. It ended up being a great decision, Matthew was integral in the flow and communal elements of our wedding. He will take as much time as needed to ensure that your wedding makes sense to you, meaning anything from the big plans to the small details in wording. We can only speak from our experience, but we wanted our wedding to lean away from a lot of older traditions and maintain intimacy amongst our small wedding. Matthew delivered, in his work, and in his time spent with us, always ensuring that our day would be the one that made the most sense to us. We had an amazing time, and highly recommend Matthew. -

We searched and messaged quite a few officiants, and after receiving so many messages that the officiant wasn't available, Matthew emailed and then calls me not even 5 minutes later. Matthew and I (groom) immediately clicked, and we talked for probably close to half an hour that first phone call. That phone call made such a huge impression on me, that I knew we had found our officiant.
Matthew was extremely professional and personable throughout our whole process. He always had everything prepared prior to our meetings and helped take away tons of stress that we were feeling going into the wedding. We loved his approach to the ceremony which gave us control of what he was going to say during, and how we would like our ceremony to go. The way he performed the ceremony was absolutely perfect, and we wouldn't have wanted it to go any other way. We HIGHLY recommend Matthew to anyone who is needing an officiant, or honestly any of his other services. -

Matthew is the best MC we have ever met!
Matthew is the best MC we have ever met! He is super responsive, full of passion, professional and has magic hosting skills. We had to move our wedding date from 2020 to 2021 due to the lock down. Matthew is very considerable and flexible and we worked out the new dates and plan.
Matthew is a very good officiant. For the ceremony wording, Matthew came up with touchy lines tailored just for us. During the ceremony when I was too excited to repeat after him, he was able to read my subtle feelings before my brain went blank and auto broken down the sentences and nobody except myself ever noticed.
Matthew is professional being a MC. Our family was not able to travel to our wedding. Thus, when our shy friends all sat from the back and the first row was empty, he politely invited the second row to the front and filled second row with people from the back with appropriate words and no one felt asked to do so and the movement was quick and minimal.
Matthew is very receptive as a planner and has a lot of ideas. Never thought I could have the opportunity to throw my lovely DOTA2 puffy dolls to my bachelor friends and my best man actually caught it! Matthew listens to our needs and always encourage us with "you should do it!".
Matthew is a good DJ + MC. He is able to find our special versions of songs and cue the songs seamlessly. I did a small guitar performance (Yea Matthew said to me "you have to do it"), and my AMP did not agree with my mic and kept howling (I tested it before the wedding but you know, things always happen when you are on the spot). Matthew helped me fix the problem on the stage real quick. I used Matthew's mic for singing and my own AMP & mixer just for the guitar. That performance was not rehearsed and he was able to handle the situation and it went really well.
Finally, the biggest reason for us to choose Matthew (and we are glad we did) was he could invite our guests to enjoy and be part of the wedding. We really want our guests (we had a small wedding thus only close friends were there) to enjoy the small reunion for themselves.

Matthew Love was amazing! Thoughtful, kind, professional, and just a great person to be around! Our wedding was impacted by Covid-19 (went from a 180 person guest list at a venue to a 6 person early-morning elopement in the mountains), and he was so flexible and great to work with though navigating all the changes! He really put effort into getting to know us prior to the wedding and crafted a beautiful ceremony just for us. We are planning to have a vow renewal with our family and friends later on and will definitely be using him for that! -

Matt was our go-to guy for our wedding. A DJ, officiant, MC, day-of-coordinator, planner, you name it... everything he touched shined.
Our ceremony was an emotional extravaganza. Matt, having helped us frame the ceremony and our vows, translated our dreams perfectly. Put simply, our ceremony was a pivotal and defining moment in our life.
Our reception afterwards could be best described as electric. We wanted things to be spontaneous, which Matt somehow honored while maintaining a schedule full of first dances, speeches, joy, laughter, and food. In the middle of COVID and wildfire smoke, no less.
He was (is) our advocate, friend, and go-to guy. We'd recommend him one billion percent for like, any event ever. -

Matthew was our officiant and DJ for our wedding. We loved how he included everyone in the wedding party and all the guests throughout the entire wedding weekend. He was also very flexible and helpful with our plan B wedding, which was pretty much completely different from plan A besides the location. Would not have been the same
It would not have been the same without Matthew. He was the perfect officiant and DJ for my husband, Jeff, and I. Through our meetings and experience, there were two big things I immediately learned about Matthew. Firstly, was his ability to make everyone feel warm and welcome and secondly, his hard work in making sure he connects with you and learns who you truly are no matter if you're the bride, groom, bridesmaid, or guest. He was addressing people by their names and while our wedding wasn't large, it was heartfelt. The word choice at the service was so personal, thoughful, and full of energy.
Matthew- Jeff and I are so appreciative of you. Through your words of encouragement, all your organization when we were not, ability to quickly and efficiently set up in only about an hour before the ceremony, and way you made everyone feel warm, welcomed, and relaxed- you exceeded Jeff and my wishes. Matthew Love was our wedding officiant. He was so much fun, charismatic, professional, personable, & comical. It was important to us to have someone with all of those qualities & he was it. The best for the job!
My wife and I interviewed several officiants before we decided to have Matthew Love marry us. We knew from the first call that he was the right choice. While most others discussed their strategies and payment processes, Matthew opened with “So how did you guys meet?” Throughout the whole process, Matthew was there to ensure we got just what we were looking for and helped us wherever we needed him. We had dinner after the first venue tour to go over some final details and my mom liked him so much that they were sharing sandwiches in between talking points. He was our officiant, DJ, and MC for the wedding itself and he crushed it! Matthew met with the bridal party before the ceremony and I was approached by a groomsman afterwards who said, this was the first time he had actually felt like he was a part of the wedding as a groomsman and not just another guy standing up there. That was the environment that Matthew created. The ceremony had everyone in happy tears, the reception went seamlessly following his direction, and the music kept the party going until we had to leave. Matthew made sure our wedding went exactly how we wanted it to and we couldn’t have done it without him. The moment I met Mr. LOVE (Matthew), I knew he was someone special. He is genuine, personable and full of LOVE! My son hired him to officiate one of the biggest milestones in our family history. Bethany Sent on 10/10/2018Matthew officiated and MC’d our wedding at Hangar 30 on September 15, 2018 and we honestly can’t say enough of ALL the good things about him. Planning a wedding is hard, finding perfect vendors is even more difficult. Matthew was a joy and a true partner in the process.
He really took the time over several meetings to get to know us, learn about our families and our vision for our day. The result of this collaboration really shows in a ceremony that is as unique as your relationship and promises that you can truly live by. This is no “canned” ceremony script! Before the ceremony- Matthew took the time to cut through the (inevitable) chaos, focus the wedding party on the reason why we were there and set the tone for the day.
As MC, Mathew is a true asset. One of the most important aspects of the day for us was that the flow of the reception felt natural but also engaging for our guests. Have you ever been to an event where you ended up kind of waiting around for the next thing to happen? One of my biggest pet pet peeves. Matthew helped us craft the timeline and on the day of worked with our vendors to execute while keeping guests engaged and informed.
In the end, we laughed (so much), we cried (happy tears) and we wholeheartedly recommend hiring Matthew for your event.

I knew after one Skype call with Matthew that he was the PERFECT person to perform our ceremony. It felt like I had known him forever and we were old friends picking up where we had left off. Our situation was a bit different. My now husband and I live and Texas so we didn’t get the chance to meet Matthew in person until a month or so before the wedding. Finally, my mom and I met up with Matthew for lunch and in one meeting had EVERYTHING planned. He helped us think through every tiny detail and offered amazing recommendations to make our ceremony perfect for us. I hadn’t had that much fun at a lunch in a long time!
Not only did Matthew officiate our ceremony, but he was also our DJ and Host/Emcee. Having Matthew there the entire evening was the BEST decision we made. He truly set the tone of our wedding and made everyone feel so involved and special. He captured the attention of everyone while keeping the focus on Tony and I. By the end of his “pow pow” before our ceremony, I think our entire crowd felt as if they had known him for ever. They felt comfortable with him and that feeling carried over into our reception. The entire place was filled with so much love. He has a magical way of bringing everyone together in that special moment. His beautiful words and bright personality radiated throughout our wedding.
Matthew worked so beautifully with us to create the perfect vows, wedding, party, everything! Our day wouldn’t have been as perfect as it was if Matthew wouldn’t have been a part of it!

Ashlea Sent on 10/16/2017When I first started wedding planning I was looking for a specific look, personality and professionalism in an officiant that would best fit both my husband and I during our wedding planning. Love's Events was actually the only Officiant with such a high rating near our area and every single person that he married wrote glowing reviews. Mathew had everyone in tears during our ceremony or maybe it was all the love in the air? He went above and beyond with making our special day even more special. Our wedding was so moving that a friend of mine who was separated from her husband came up to me and said that our ceremony was so beautiful that she was so inspired by our vows and our love that she wanted to work things out and recommit to her husband. I feel like that is the best compliment in the world to hear, that a friend was so moved by our ceremony.

Heather Sent on 09/27/2016Book Matthew! He is amazing! Weeks before our wedding, the officiant we had planned to use was in an accident and was not able to attend, let alone officiate, our wedding. I reached out to Matthew via his website and minutes later he called me to see what he could do. That first phone call led to another with the three of us, and then two in-person meetings, with Matthew going out of his way to find a location and time that would work for us. He provided us with so much more than just a beautiful ceremony; he acted as the DJ, with a song list that was perfect for our group, and played it on his own sound system, and acted as the emcee to keep the party flowing smoothly.
He is great at what he does, and is such a caring and personable individual, that by the day of our ceremony, it felt as though we had known him much longer than 3 weeks. The ceremony that he created was touching, reflected us as a couple, and was able to draw the audience in so that they were really involved in the ceremony, not just watching it. It was evident that he took the time to create a personal ceremony for us, not just something with our names inserted in the right places, as others might do. The ceremony he created really resonated with everyone in attendance and I heard nothing but praise from our guests, many of whom said they had never been to such a touching ceremony before. We wanted a casual wedding, without many of the frills that seem to accommodate other weddings, like bridesmaids and groomsmen, first dances and the like, and Matthew was able to listen to what we wanted and created a simply amazing ceremony. I cannot recommend him more.
