I found Love Lit (Kaitlin + Amy) through Instagram. I stalked them. We hired them.
I looked for photographers who:
- didn't mute out color (I'm from Los Angeles and like lots of color)
- ability to take photos of real people who were not models
- help real people pose naturally
- not use the same poses over and over again
- get along and be comfortable around spending the entire wedding day with
You could say I had a laundry list of expectations as a former corporate event and wedding planner. They may not even know about my long list until reading this.
They checked off everything on my list and more. For example, they were extremely accommodating with our dog 3 times: the engagement shoot, a surprise wedding appearance, and even in our initial meeting.
We just viewed all of our photos from the day of our wedding and could not be happier. All of the work we put into making the wedding special. All of our guests from out of town. All the little moments we want to remember. It was all captured in photos.
We purchased Package 2 and added an extra hour (which was nice to have). -

We adore Kaitlin and Amy. They captured all of our special moments from our engagement photos, to our engagement party, to Christmas photos (because they're awesome), to the big day. We would 10000% recommend them to anyone, and we hope they'll let us use them for life photos forever!! -

Highly recommend!
We were referred to Amy & Kaitlin by our planner and got a really good feeling from our first meeting. They were so easy to work with leading up to the big day, very professional & knowledgeable. Then on the big day, they were great! Really easy going, they were very stealth throughout the day while working super hard to get all the shots. They made sure to get our full portrait list, which I appreciated so much. We just got our photos back this week and both my husband and I were blown away! They are so beautiful! The color, the mood, the moments....so authentic and real! I feel like they captured our day perfectly while also getting all the little detail shots that I had hoped for. We were so surprised to see so many great photos of our guests during the reception too, we never even noticed them photographing around the room! We also had made a special request to have a self portrait photo station set up during the reception and they did a great job with this. Our guests had so much fun and the photos are fantastic! We can't thank Kaitlin and Amy enough, we will treasure these photos forever!!! -

User2018806 Sent on 01/22/2015I am not one to write reviews, but I just LOVED my wedding photographers so much that I knew I had to share with others how amazing Amy and Kaitlin are and how pleased I was with them! I heard of Love Lit through a friend and when I looked at their work online I really liked what I saw. After talking with them and meeting them in person I knew immediately that I wanted them to be our wedding photographers. Amy and Kaitlin are super sweet gals with so much talent and style and creativity. They are super sweet and friendly and made me feel like I was so beautiful! They were happy the day of the wedding and never looked stressed or bored. You can truly tell that they love their job and it makes it so nice to be around happy photographers! They helped my husband and I feel at ease and really made taking photos enjoyable. They were able to find the best angles and shots for flattering and beautiful pictures. I also loved how they captured our guests and bridal party. Having two photographers was awesome because they each divided and conquered! You can tell they work well as a team because they move around so naturally and do not get in the way! I love how we had close ups and far away shots of so many different times throughout the day. This really made a huge variety of photos and made everything so cohesive. Amy and Kaitlin also were flexible nod followed us to our after party (after the ceremony and reception) just so we could capture a few more important shots! They were probably exhausted but you wouldn't even know! If I were to do it all over I would for sure have them take our wedding photos again. I'm obsessed with our pictures and cannot stop looking through them. It's so hard to pick my favorites also that I had to print multiple photos for family members because I couldn't pick just one! Of course they loved them and made the perfect gifts. I also liked how we got color and black and white shots. They are truly the best! -

I was referred to Love Lit photography by a co-worker and was super happy with the work they did. Kaitlin and Amy were warm and friendly yet still very professional. They had an amazing talent for capturing natural light in our photos.
After spending the time we did with the leading up to our wedding day it felt as though they were more like our friends then vendors. If we were to get married all over again tomorrow I'd be torn whether to hire them or invite them as guests. Seriously though, even through we must have been the thousandth wedding they did that summer, they made us feel like we were their only client.
I couldn't be more happy with their work and would recommend them to anyone getting married. -
User2018801 Sent on 01/22/2015Wow, Amy and Kaitlin did the most amazing job capturing our wedding day through detailed and beautiful photos. I am so happy we chose this team of friendly and talented photographers. They seemed to immediately understand our personalities individually and together as a couple. We not only loved talking with them but thoroughly enjoyed the entire process with them. From the first time we spoke to the last email exchanged, I was more than completely satisfied. They we're prompt with communication and answered my hundreds of questions without any hesitation. They listened to us and were wonderful to work with. They had terrific insight as to what needed to be captured and in what order. I felt like I could trust them to get every detail that I wanted to remember and yet didn't have to request it because they already took the time to understand what we wanted out of our wedding photography. On top of feeling super comfortable to be myself (even my husband, who hates getting his picture taken more than once) around the camera, they made it actually really fun and natural! I didn't have to wonder or guess what to do for poses. They allowed my husband and I to be ourselves without being overbearing and then they also provided the perfect amount of direction and guidance so we didn't feel awkward! In addition, the photos were beautiful!!!! So many people complimented us on stunning photos! In fact, two friends of mine asked me to share their contact info for their upcoming weddings because they were so impressed. I loved having Amy and Kaitlin as our wedding photographers and would highly recommend them! Plus they are reasonably priced and give you so many photos!!! Also they package it super cute so it's extra special to receive the photos! -
User979096 Sent on 10/18/2012We used Love Lit Wedding Photography for our wedding and had a fantastic experience. Kaitlin and Amy were total pros and did a great job of choosing locations and getting all of the formal shots we wanted quickly and efficiently so we could enjoy our time with friends and family. They also did a great job of making everyone feel comfortable and getting photos that really captured the personalities of our guests. We got our photos back just a few weeks after the wedding and couldn't be happier with them -- they are beautiful and will be a wonderful way for us to remember all of the details of our wedding day.
