Perfect Alterations

I cannot recommend Long's Bridals and Alterations highly enough for their exceptional work on my wedding dress. From the moment I stepped into the shop, I was greeted with warmth and professionalism. Their expertise and attention to detail were evident in every stitch. The alterations made to my dress were flawless. They understood exactly what I needed and executed it beautifully. Their suggestions were very helpful, and the final result was a dress that looked as though it was made just for me. What really stood out was their efficiency and punctuality. Amazing alterations !

Gwen was amazing to work with ! I had a mermaid style wedding gown and I needed it taken in to get a more form fitting look. The dress came out perfect and fit like a glove !! I was so happy with the alterations ! I also got a lot of compliments on how gorgeous the bustling looked ! Thank you longs bridal !!

Worked magic on a difficult hem!

Very nice experience with Gwen and Long’s Bridal and alterations. My sister had a dress with a very difficult hem that was intricate and I was so worried it couldn’t be done, Long’s was able to make it happen and it really looked beautiful!! She also took care of the minimal alterations I needed for my dress and did my bustle. My dress fit me perfectly!! Thank you Gwen!!

They took my dress that another alterations place messed up and fixed it! Fast service and great work! They also did my bridesmaids dresses and did an awesome job on theirs too!

I would highly recommend Long's. The service was excellent. They were very patient with my mom, sister, and my niece when educating them on how to carefully bustle my wedding dress train, allowing us to practice over and over again. The bustle they made for my multi-layered tulle dress is absolutely beautiful. They were also very helpful in educating me on how to properly get in and out of my dress which requires a hoop skirt/ petticoat without ruining my hair and makeup.

I am so pleased with the work done by Longs Bridal on my wedding dress. I went in with a big idea in my mind and they completely delivered! I wanted an entire layer of tulle added to the skirt meaning they had to take apart the entire dress and put it back together including all of the intricate beading and sparkles...but they did it and it's perfect!! They also added cups, fixed the modesty panel, and made a few other small changes to make my dress absolutely perfect and for a great price. It looked beautiful on my wedding day and I cannot thank them enough for all they did. They worked quickly and professionally and I would not hesitate to recommend them to any bride. Thank you Longs Bridal!

I used Longs to alter my wedding dress. They had very fast turn around times, and they genuinely cared about me as a customer. The customer service was phenomenal, and the staff was very friendly. It was a bit pricier than I would have hoped, but the quality was superb. My dress was a delicate material, and they really knew how to work with the restrictions. I would recommend them to anyone who has a little extra cash to spend and wants that perfect quality.

I went to Long's Bridal and Alterations after the store I purchased my wedding dress from closed unexpectedly. Luckily I had received my dress, but I desperately needed help with making sure that it was fitting for my very special wedding ceremony day. Luckily the talented team at Long's Bridal and Alterations worked their magic within the 2 months I had to get my multi layer chiffon dress in a beautiful state for my shorter curvy frame.

Simply put - my interaction with Long's Bridal and Alterations was absolutely perfect. My wedding dress was fairly intricate - lace, beading, you name it! I knew I needed to find a talented alterations specialist to work with. I looked online for highest rated alterations stores in Orlando which led me to Long's - and those reviews are more than accurate. Not only did Gwen and Jenny adjust my wedding dress perfectly, they also provided helpful suggestions for my dress and bustle that made it even more beautiful. They are both so kind, professional, and extremely accommodating with scheduling. They took excellent care of myself, as well as my mother and other members of our bridal party. I will definitely be returning to use their services again, and I highly recommend any bride to reach out to Long's Bridal for their alterations.

My best friend and I went into this shop just to get a quote on alterations for my wedding dress. She'd used them for her wedding dress a few years back. I live 2 hours away and was just in town to pick up my dress from my brother's house and they took me in for a fitting without an appt on the spot. Talk about lucky! Gwen and Jenny were amazing! So friendly, personable and professional!

My husband and I both go our wedding dress and suit hemmed here for our wedding. They are amazing and did an awesome job! The bustle on my dress was so elegantly done that the dress looked just as beautiful when it was bustled. 5 star service! Highly recommend!

I've been going to Long's Bridal for many years. Over 8 to be exact. I've always taken personal items to be altered or fixed and I've always walked away happy!! 2016 was my year to finally discuss weddings and dresses. Knowing Gwen for so long we had always discussed the day I will finally marry!! Obviously, I went dress shopping back home with my moms and bought my very expensive dress to Gwen for alterations. I was super nervous as the dress had lost of ruffles and a very big train. I don't know why I was nervous because Gwen and Jenn did such an amazing job and you couldn't even tell the dress had been altered. I mean it was perfect! It for me like a glove and I was so PLEASED at how glamorous I looked! I've trusted her for years and I will always trust her as she is the best!! Ps. I've recommended others (Alisha, Amirah) and they both love her as well!! 10 stars!!!

My husband and I have been going to Jennie and Gwen for many years for our alterations. I bought my dress from another vendor brought it to them specifically to have it busteled and altered. Thank God I did that because they were so helpful with my whole alteration process. Flexible schedule and extremely welcoming. Great customer service and highly recommended. They also helped me with my family's alterations for their wedding attires and dry cleaning for the wedding dress as well! Thank you so much for everything Jennie and Gwen. :)

I had the best experience at Long's Bridal and Alterations! Everyone who works there is dedicated to the customers, and to their craft. The shop itself is beautiful and yet small enough to be personal. I visited several other dress shops prior to arriving at Long's Bridal, but I still didn't know what I wanted. We looked around a bit, and I saw a dress that was kind of puffy at the bottom which isn't at all what I was thinking, but I liked the bodice part and decided to just try it on. The moment I put it on, I knew it was what I wanted! Until that point, I did not think I would have that "aha" moment that so many brides describe. Jenny was so helpful and let me keep the dress on (quite a while) while I walked around the store. I simply did not want to take it off! Even though I knew it was "the one," I needed to think for a week and said I would return. I visited other shops and yet all I could think about was the dress I had found at Long's, so I went back and got it! It was absolutely beautiful; fitted, and yet tasteful. The order process was easy, and the price point was hundreds lower than I was expecting to spend which made room for me to purchase a beautiful veil with a thin line of crystals at the edge. I'm grateful to Long's for having a wonderful inventory that was not overwhelming, an inviting atmosphere, and a friendly staff. They even kept my dress at the store for months because I had nowhere to keep it. It was there, safe and sound! They only had to make some slight alterations a few weeks before the wedding, and it fit perfectly. I highly recommend making Long's Bridal and Alterations part of your wedding dress shopping experience!

The ladies at Long's Bridal were fabulous! They were very helpful and kind when I had to go to my first fitting alone. When I came back to pick up my dress it fit me like a glove! I could not believe how perfectly it fit! The shop itself is also very pretty and welcoming. I drove about 30 minutes for this alteration spot, even though there were about 4 bridal alteration shops within a 5 mile radius from me.

All the girls at Long's Bridal were so amazing!! All just the sweetest and most helpful and fun (and prettiest-not going to lie! ) people I could of asked for! I just want to go hang out with them even though my wedding is over!! But most importantly- there work on my dress and the added belt last minute was absoluty perfect!! I wish I could put a picture of it on here to show you. People are still talking how it looked my dress was made for me- and thats because of what they did! And they really had to do alot of work on it...but it was perfect!!! I am going to tell every person I know or hear talking about getting married about them.. and send them right there way!!! Long's Bridal was AMAZING! I was nervous to leave my wedding dress anywhere and they made me feel so comfortable! Not only did they do an amazing job, they are some of the sweetest people ever! Gwen is absolutely amazing and very talented at her job. My dress had tons of beading and she made it look absolutely amazing. It fit perfectly and she even showed my bridesmaid step by step how to help me get into the dress and bustle he bottom. I highly recommend Long's to anyone needing alterations!

Long's saved the day. After a really bad experience at a different bridal shop and receiving a dress a whole size too small, they graciously greeted me with open arms and assured me that they could fix and mend the dress so that it would be perfect on wedding day. The corset back they put into the dress was absolutely beautifully done and made the dress stunning. I was very nervous to make such a dramatic change to the dress, but in the end I could not have been happier. Such a wonderful place to do business with. Definitely recommend. The shop is beautiful.

I brought my wedding dress to Long' s bridal about a month before my wedding. I first walked in there just looking for a sash. Then I met Gwen and read her reviews online and decided to get my dress altered there, even though I bought it elsewhere. Both ladies were complete sweethearts! They are professional and flexible. My dress fit perfectly and looked beautiful!!

I know exactly where to go for any alterations I may need.

My wedding would not have happened without these wonderful people. My wedding dress was ordered in the wrong size, so it was already too small. Add in some weight gain, and there was no way the back of my dress would close. I was referred to Long's from my soon-to-be sister in law who also had her dress altered here (7 layers of tulle, which they hemmed perfectly!) Gwen came to my rescue. Long's Bridal did all of my dress alterations, altered my mom's dress, and steamed all of my bridesmaids' dresses. I was extremely pleased with the quality of their alterations, and their level of service. My mom and bridesmaids weren't able to come to my final dress fitting (when I picked up the dress), so they took a video on my phone explaining how to bustle the dress. The video was extremely helpful on the day of the wedding!

I couldn't have been more happy with the alterations to my bridal gown. It is a satin gown with chiffon overlay that I was sure would be a pain to have hemmed but they did AMAZING!!! The fit is perfect and the bustle is beautiful! Everyone there was so nice and worked around my schedule. I will definitely be using Long's Bridal for any of my future alteration needs.

Long's is an amazing bridal/alteration shop. The personal attention from Gwen and Jenny is hard to find elsewhere. They carry a great selection of beautiful wedding gowns, they are patient during the selection process, and their alteration work is impeccable. We had multiple fittings and they were always ready for us and gave us undivided attention. We'll continue to go to Long's for future tailoring/alteration needs.

Stunning work. They worked with my budget, found me my perfect dress, and provided excellent tailoring work even with exceedingly intricate beading and the sheet amount of fabric they had to remove (2+ sizes overall, ~12 inches from the length). The dress fit perfectly, and I couldn't have been more happy with their work.

I bought a wedding dress and had a vision of what it should look like in my head, which was completely different than what the dress actually looked like. Long's Bridal was able to bring my vision to life! They made my alterations exactly how I wanted and they did it so quickly! I was on a time crunch because my wedding as literally the next week. Long's Bridal had all of the alterations done in 3 days! They completely transformed my dress into an entirely new dress! I loved it and everyone that saw it raved about it! The work they did was impeccable. To top it off the owners of the store are so wonderful! They truly care about you and your special day. I will never go any where else for my alterations needs. I can't say more great things about Long's bridal. The care and safety of my dress was of the utmost importance to me. So I called up Long's. They were a bit further out for us, but it was worth it. I met Jenny & Gwen & told them about my fears, but they assured me it would be fine! They got me in my dress without a problem and were so funny and personable! I knew the panel on the back needed to be moved over & I really needed my rack to be on point, and a bustle. Desperately. I had a very long train. Gwen & Jenny were positive & professional & explained everything that they were doing & gave me options. When they went over all the changes that they were going to take care of, I calmed myself & tried to accept the fact that it was going to be between $400-500. They quoted me at $197!! I could not believe it! That was with moving the panel over, putting in a push up bra, and a 6 loop bustle. I was so excited! I was 100% relieved and comfortable, leaving my dress in their hands.
My roommate, who was also getting married, was looking for a place and was going to take it to David's Bridal. DO NOT TAKE YOUR DRESS TO DAVID'S BRIDAL. I referred her to Long's and she was SO PLEASED with the results and the price.
When I got my dress back, it fit like a glove and I looked stunning. The bustle was perfect and simple to put up (they even took a video of them putting it up so we had a reference!). My boobs were practically to my chin. And the corset laced up without a hitch! I almost cried out of relief and happiness. Jenny & Gwen were absolutely perfect. If you're looking for a great place to go that is fun, affordable, trustworthy & professional, I highly recommend Long's. I'll continue to be sending business their way! Thank you again!

The service at Long's Bridal was awesome! I went a few places without an appointment and everyone was really short with me except at Longs. They we very accommodating and didn't rush me at all. I ordered my dress and veil from them. The alterations we exquisite. She made me a bussel in the back that was virtually unnoticeable. I didn't have to tug or readjust my dress on my wedding day at all, even with all my dancing. The personal service I received was the best. She even remembers you by name when you do it. I was extremely happy with the purchase. I even took my mother of the bride dress for her to alter.

Compared to the larger chain stores, Long's makes you feel like family rather than a number. They made me feel so comfortable and relaxed about this big event and my parents and I had a blast trying on dresses with them.

I ended up finding my dream dress within 5 minutes! I live across the country so I was only able to get in 1 fitting before my wedding. It fit perfectly. I also had some things added/changed on the dress and it was absolutely seamless to the rest of the dress design. Also, I only had a 6 month engagement!

I am so grateful for the staff at Long's and for making the dress buying experience a memorable one.

Long's bridal was amazing! They were able to fit in a last minute alteration, bustle, and fitting with less than a month turn around. My dress had a complicated lace overlay and they were able to hem it to my height quite nicely. Their staff is very friendly and knowledgeable, even helped me make decisions about my hair. Gwen is AWESOME!! I purchased my Ysa Makino gown from Boca Raton Bridal, but did not want to travel back and forth from Orlando to Boca for alterations. I took my gown to Gwen at Long's Bridal, and she did wonders! I'm a very petite person, at 5 ft and 110 lbs, so it was quite a challenge to make my gown fit like a glove. However, Gwen stepped up to the challenge! I loved how my gown fit me and I'm so happy that I chose Long's Bridal with the task of my alterations! I HIGHLY recommend Gwen and Long's Bridal!

did something many brides dare not -- ordered my dress online sight unseen (except for pictures of a supermodel wearing it.) It came straight from China. The website touts made to order (and it was made to my measurements) but a combination of losing weight and overestimating my measurements out of fear that it would be small -- I wound up with a dress that was too big! The ladies at Long's bridal were amazing. They tailored this dress to fit me like a glove. She took in 4 inches -- not just along a single seam -- this amazing woman tailored my dress from head to toe. It was NOT EASY. It had a lace overlay on the top bodice that went off the shoulder and onto a three-quarter sleeve. Beneath it was a sweetheart neckline corset-style top bodice that she had to slice down in order to flatter my now smaller bust. She was flexible, kind and accommodating with every concern I voiced. Nothing was a problem, nothing was too much or too difficult. She exceeded my expectations and was a joy to work with all the way. I wound up paying more for my alterations than I did for my dress -- of course that's not saying much since my dress was only $150.00 -- but she was worth every single penny. Even including the alterations, my dress was a steal and it looked amazing... I owe it all to her. If you're a perfectionist looking for value and attention to details, this is the place for you. Long's Bridal provided me a gown on my budget and even let me buy it off the rack which saved me money on shipping and waiting for my dress to arrive. Their selection of gowns is impeccable and every gown was just to die for. I wanted to buy 5 gowns so it was hard to narrow it down to one. They have a seamstress that works there and is so sweet and good at what she does. The dress fit me great and they even steamed cleaned it for me for a low price.

The best bridal shop ever! Best prices, great people, and offer brides the opportunity to connect with other vendors so they do not need to travel so much to meet others to work their wedding. SO GREAT! This was the first place I tried on dresses and Amanda was so very helpful! They put as much time aside for me as it took, let me try on as many and whichever dress I wanted, they even let us take pictures and made the experience so enjoyable for us! Naturally I wanted to try dresses from other places as well just to make sure, and every place I went didn't come close to having as good of customer service as Long's. When I finally found the dress I called Long's to see if they could order it and luckily they could!! The alterations were amazing as well! Everything was perfect from them.

Long's Bridal and Alteration provided me with great service when it came down to my wedding dress alterations. I also use them for my bridesmaid's dress alterations as well. She was ver nice and relatable and she knew exactly what I wanted and was able to execute it within a reasonable price range and a reasonable amount of time. I went to Long's Bridal to get alterations done on my wedding dress and I also purchased all of my bridesmaids dresses from there. Everyone is beyond friendly and very helpful. They did exactly what I wanted done to my wedding dress and everything came out perfect. I didn't even have to come in for a second fitting! My bridesmaid dresses came in on time and in the correct colors and sizes. I highly recommend them!

Words cannot express how great my experience with Long's Bridal was. I went in with a dress I purchased online for $100 and they made it look like a $10,000 dress. I was skeptical to spend so much on alterations when I didn't see that much wrong with my dress but when I showed up for my fitting it was like the gown was made for me. The quality was beyond any hopes or expectations that I had and turned a dress I already loved into a dress even better than I could have dreamed. The girls that work here are such sweet, genuine people and they were such a pleasure to work with! I would send anyone who needs alterations they can really trust for their big day to Long's Bridal. For my dress, they dropped the illusion neckline so that it would not rub my collar bone, straightened and shortened the hem of my dress, made the bow go from a flop to the perfect accent, and added 6 bustles since my dress originally had none. In addition to my dress, they took my mother's veil and sewed it onto a new clip, bringing it from the 80's to a style that perfectly compliments my dress. All of this was done in under a month! I cannot wait to wear my dress on my wedding day and I owe so much of my excitement to these talented women!!

Very helpful and did a great job with altering my wedding dress. They did not pressure me to get anything unnecessary fixed. I even had them create a corset in the back and it looked awesome. The workers were very kind. The only issue I had was that one time when having a dress fitting, the workers had two small dogs in the store which made me nervous that they would rip or step on my dress. However, none of this happened and I had a great overall experience.

My wife choose this place to get her dress. I was never able to actually see the dress until the day of the wedding, but I often communicated with them to discuss cost and alterations for the dress. My wife wore a Maggie Sotera Dress of which was absolutely stunning. It was the most beautiful thing I have ever seen on anyone. She truly looked like a princess. They had a wide variety of dresses for her to try and the staff could not stop raving and complementing my wife during every visit for alterations. If you want to look beautiful, then you have to stop by and check this place out!

I purchased my beautiful lace wedding gown from this store and had them make the alterations also. I have an hour glass figure and Gwen did a great job taking the dress in at the waist to accentuate my curves. After the alterations the dress fit perfectly! Jenni was very helpful during my multiple fittings and made sure my MOH knew how to get me in the dress, bustle it, and gave techniques on how to fasten the multiple buttons along the back quickly! The alterations were quite pricey as well as the fee they charged to tack on a waist embellishment I wanted added to the dress. However, since they specialize in my brand of dress I wasn't going to take it anywhere else to be altered and I was happy with the result! The boutique itself is very cute and I like that it is a family owned store and not a chain, it definitely gave a more personalized vibe to the wedding dress experience. I love my dress! Gwen and Jennie are so great to work with! They are so nice and accommodating! After searching several places for a dress I finally found the one here! The service is great, I didn't feel pressured or rushed into buying the dress. They allow you to make payments as you go which I really liked. I also got my alterations done here, and the dress fit perfectly!

I would definitely recommend them!

The ladies at Long's were amazing from the minute I walked through the door. The space is clean and beautiful. Hardwood floors & floor to ceiling mirror. Fittings are by appt only but they are always there to answer any questions and work with appt times. My dress needed minimal alterations but what they did made it look that much more amazing .

Long's bridal was great to work with. My family and I have used them previously for numerous occasions before my wedding. We used them for prom dress alterations, bridesmaids dress alterations and now this year for my wedding dress. I chose a Maggie Sottero dress for my wedding. I also got my veil with crystals on it from this shop. They handled all my alterations to my specifications and although quite pricey, they did a great job. They also steamed my dress and veil for me on my last fitting day. The owner Gwen's husband walked the dress out to my mom's car for her when she was taking it home for me! They were excellent, easily accommodating when making appointments for fitting and wonderful people to work with. I would definitely recommend them.

We went to Long's because we read so many amazing reviews online and our friends had told us about them too. The girls are amazing and so much fun, and I would go back again and again, but we did have a few mishaps that is hard to overlook--considering the high price you pay to go there. My wedding sash was starting to come away from the dress prior to the ceremony--it did hold up throughout, but, the ends were coming undone. Also, the seam running down the middle of my husband's jacket came apart a bit, exposing a hole in the middle. It really wasn't a big deal, we still looked amazing, and I would completely recommend them to anyone, I would just say to look over everything before leaving; we didn't, or we would have caught these 2 little things; and they are quite pricey, so just make sure you are completely happy before you walk out. The ladies working there would gladly do anything to make sure you are satisfied.

Long's bridal was great and very professional. The only complaint I have is I spent $700+ on alterations and they refused to throw in a new garment bag and wanted to charge me $25. I just felt like that was nickle and diming me. It was very expensive but they did a great job.

Long's was actually the only place that I went for a dress, I tried on 5 dresses and found my dress during that visit! I bought off the rack, so I've been a little worried about it but the ladies who work there are SO nice and really helpful, and make you feel like a princess! I will be going back in a month for my first fitting since I still have 3 months to go but so far they have been wonderful to work with!

I got a great dress at a great price from this Vietnamese-run bridal shop and tailors on East Colonial. They did a terrific job altering the dress to fit my...eh...curvy body to a T. I would definitely recommend them for a bride on a budget.

They did my wedding gown alterations (I bought my gown elsewhere). It took them a little longer than expected and I had to go back for two fittings but they did a lovely job. Bring a friend because they offer no help in getting into your gown.

I CRIED FOR DAYS!!!! BRIDES BEWARE!!!! LONG'S RUINED MY GOWN...DO NOT TAKE YOUR DRESS HERE!!!!! On March 20th I took my Wedding Gown (new, never worn, with tags) to Long's Bridal on East Colonial. The dress fit me perfectly. I needed no alterations other than a bussel put in the back. I felt like a princess. I originally purchased the dress a size too small and over the course of six weeks to lose 20 pounds to fit into the dress. Gwen, the manager recommended that I get the dress cleaned after she noticed a small speckle of makeup near the zipper. She said that steaming the dress would be an additional $99 but would get out the wrinkles and the speckle. I agreed. The total cost was $153.36 of which I paid half. A few weeks later I contacted Gwen on March 19th concerned that I may need additional alterations due to weight loss. I was told that she was swamped and could not see me until five days before my wedding. Tuesday around lunchtime I got a call from the Manager asking me to come in for the final fitting at 2pm. When I arrived my dress was hanging in a dressing room. The first thing I noticed was two large palm sized scuff marks in the back area on both sides of the zipper. I called Gwen into the dressing room and asked her about the marks. She told me that the dress was already like that when she got it. I disagreed and told her that I would have noticed something that extreme. Gwen then told me that the dress could be steamed and cleaned for an additional $99. That's when I reminded her that I had already paid for the cleaning. In addition to the stains, some of the pleating in the back of the dress was coming undone. I pointed this out to Gwen. She told me that it was suppose to be that way. I told her that it looked out of place and not at all like the condition I had left the dress in. She then told me that she would get the stains out free of charge, and look at the pleating, and told me to come back at 5pm to pick up the dress. I left the shop visibly upset. About 5 minutes later the Gwen called me to tell me that the stains had come out of the dress. When I returned and viewed the dress in dim lighting the stains appeared to be removed. However the pleating in the dress was still hanging down showing the threading underneath. When I questioned Gwen about this, she told me that it would straighten itself out during wear. I expressed my concerns about the pleating and also told her that I did not feel I should pay for the cleaning being that the dress was dirty when I went to pick it up. She told me that the dress had been cleaned and its easy for things to get on the dress. I paid the remaining balance and went home to try on my dress. In normal light it was then that I noticed that faintness of the stains and that the pleating she mentioned was still out of place. I immediately called Gwen in a panic expressing to her that the stains were still visible and that my pleating was altered. Gwen told me that I could bring the dress back in two days and that she would take a look at it. With the wedding in four days, I could not take that chance. The very next morning I missed four hours at work in search of a shop that could clean and repair the dress on such short notice. When Long's reopened on Thursday I called and spoke with Gwen and told her that the dress was being cleaned and repaired by another shop and that I would like a refund for $99 to cover the cost of repairs and cleaning with the other shop. Gwen told me that I would have to take Long's to court because I left the shop with the dress. I told her that she knew my concerns before I left. She said that she was not willing to do anything more and refused to provide me contact information for the owner. My wedding is two days away, I paid Long's $156 and now I am having to pay another shop for the repairs and cleaning. Long's Bridal ruined my beautiful dress....
