The Most Amazing Venue

We are so grateful to have gotten married at Long Beach Museum of Art! The staff are incredible, so kind and helpful, and the setting is stunning. From the start of our wedding process LBMA was wonderful to work with, super prompt with answering all of our questions and true experts. On the day of the event, everything was well organized, the setting was beautiful, the food was delicious, and the vibes we are amazing. LBMA will forever be part of our story and we are so grateful for it! We are so glad we chose LBMA as our wedding venue!

Best. Venue. Ever.

Long Beach Museum of Art was the absolute perfect venue! The ocean view background, the twinkly lights, the historic building, the greenery - so gorgeous!

Andrii, Keith and Gabriella were amazing! They were so nice and accommodating and made the whole process so much fun and enjoyable. The day of, they made sure everything ran so smoothly. They are the best team ever!

Beautiful and Stress Free!

I got married in March and the service was amazing. I had the most stress free wedding I felt well taken care of the food was phenomenal and it felt so romantic and peaceful. The staff is amazing and so is everyone that works there just lovely and helpful and so sweet.

Amazing Venue and Staff

We had a pandemic wedding which made everything about planning a bit more difficult. Giselle and Andrii were very patient with us as we bombarded them with emails and poured over the details of the day. The day of, (with the help of our planner Adam Corsaro-Peyton) they absolutely pulled everything together smoothly and beautifully. The outdoor site overlooking the beachfront with string lights, fountain, and museum access was just perfect for our very intimate microwedding. We would absolutely do it all over again with them.

Beautiful Venue & Responsive Planning Team

The view of Long Beach and the ocean from this venue is gorgeous and, even in December, it was perfect for an outdoor wedding. Giselle and Andrii were so helpful during rescheduling our 2020 wedding and were so supportive and available to talk through the planning process. The food was amazing and we heard lots of compliments on the food! Our guests enjoyed going through the art gallery during cocktail hour and complimented the beautiful sunset. We are so happy with our choice to get married here and an added plus is we can visit our venue anytime to see the art exhibits or eat at their restaurant!

Truly Amazing

Our wedding at LBMA was simply amazing. The planners there are fun, creative, and always positive. We wanted a nontraditional wedding and they were enthusiastic and helpful at each step. I can't thank them enough for the continuous support while planning a wedding during a pandemic. They provided advice with changing city standards and were completely accommodating and even encouraged us to move our date to allow for a safer environment for our family. I would 100% recommend this venue to anyone looking for a beautiful, fun, and reasonably priced venue.

Everything we Dreamed and More

TL;DR: This is the perfect wedding venue with world class staff, 10/10, would recommend to everyone.
The venue was very accommodating with all the COVID-induced date changes. Andrii and Giselle were very responsive and helpful—they are both really great individuals to work with, and made the entire wedding planning process feel very low stress, even during COVID times. They are so incredibly hospitable and friendly, and it was a joy to work with them over these past 2 years. They worked with us to host an event in as safe a manner as possible.
The venue is incredibly organized and everyone works quite efficiently. On the day of the wedding, everything was exactly where it needed to be when it needed to be there – champagne was ready to go when we arrived in the bridal suite, while beers were on ice and waiting in the groom’s suite. They worked seamlessly with our wedding planner, Aisha Harris, such that everyone was always on the same page and timeline management was top notch. At some point between the ceremony and dinner, during our cocktail hour, the entire lawn area was flipped from being a ceremony space to being a dinner space. However, this occurred so smoothly and seamlessly that we did not even notice and were distracted by guests, appetizers, and beverages.
We were so thankful that the site could accommodate our Pomeranian, Yukihiro, and allowed him to stay in the bridal suite after the ceremony. He was a focal point of our wedding and also the ring bearer, and they made it quite convenient for him to take a nap upstairs before we had our family drive him home.
The site itself is stunning, and the lighting and view were absolutely perfect and memorable. In the late evening, with the light breeze, palm trees, crashing waves, and sunset backdrop, there are few locations in LA that can offer such an impactful and romantic atmosphere. We held our ceremony at 5:30pm in August, which ended up being the perfect time of day, as the museum casts a nice shadow over the lawn and keeps guests cool in the summertime shade. After sunset, the existing overhead lighting of the outdoor space worked wonderfully with the DJ lighting.
The chef on site at Claire’s is a culinary genius and the food was PHENOMENAL – one of the best meals that we’ve ever had in Long Beach (and probably one that our guests will remember for the rest of their lives). It is a rare thing to dine like royalty at a wedding. Every single appetizer or side dish was polished and perfected to the same degree as the entrees (Chilean Sea Bass and Braised Short Rib). The cocktails, wine, and beer selection were impressive and garnered high praise from our guests – everyone found something that they enjoyed.
The best choice we ever made was marrying each other, but the second-best choice we ever made was choosing this venue. I wholeheartedly recommend LBMA as the perfect venue for any event, and have nothing but praise for those that worked so hard to make our wedding day perfect.

Excellent Support Every Day!

Today would have been the day that we were going to get married at the Long Beach Museum of Art's venue. We had our tasting and seating planned as well as food and a guest list and were absolutely thrilled for our day to arrive. However, due to unforeseen circumstances and the COVID-19 pandemic we made the decision back in June to cancel.
Throughout the entire process Giselle and Andrii made planning our special day the easiest, least stressful, and most fun experience we could have ever had. Through our challenging decision to cancel they were supportive, caring, and always had our best interest in mind.
We highly recommend this venue as they are always there for you, have the perfect location and experience, and the food is amazing!!

Amazing AF

From the first meeting to our wedding day, the process was so EASY! Adreanna and team made it so simple and would answer all my questions and emails within a day or two. You can truly tell that they take pride in their work and putting on a fantastic event. The food is phenomenal and the bar perfect. We chose the standard bar, which include beer & wine and one signature cocktail form the restaurants menu. You need very little decoration because the ceremony and reception space is beautiful. Definitely worth the visit/tour if you are looking for an outdoor wedding space!

We love LBMA and wish we could re-live our wedding! First, the LBMA team are all-stars: we loved working with Adreanna and Andrii, who were personable and offered the highest level of customer service from start to finish. Second, the ocean views and photogenic premises made it a perfect venue for our all-outdoor event. Third, the food and signature cocktail selection are excellent! We would recommend LBMA in a heart beat!

LBMA was the perfect place for our wedding, we couldn't have asked for a better venue, view, and team to work with! The team was so organized from the beginning, the food/drinks were fantastic (guests still tell me how great the appetizers and main course were!), and the over all ambiance/setting made this place worth every penny! Adreanna, Dahnia, and Andrii were amazing to work with, very prompt and professional. They definitely know what they're doing at this venue! We HIGHLY recommend choosing LBMA for your wedding!!

We had our daytime wedding at LBMA and I cannot recommend it enough! I gave it 5 stars for each category and I'll try to break it down in this review. Overall experience was perfect and our wedding was better than I could have ever dreamed. Andrii and his special events team did a fantastic job making sure everything was in order for our big day. From their professionalism to their attention to detail, they did an excellent job.

Our original wedding location canceled on us and, in the end, we are so glad everything worked out the way it did. We were able to have a daytime, ocean view wedding at a much more affordable price. Although the venue fee only provides 3.5 hours (for a daytime wedding), it ended up being the perfect length for our wedding. I was worried it was going to be too short but it truly was the perfect amount of time. You're able to pay for additional hours but it wasn't necessary for us. The site fee includes an on site coordinator, food tastings, and all the essential rentals (chairs, tables, heat lamps, flatware, arbor, etc.)

Working with Andrii and his team made the planning process very easy. He is very organized, communicative, and professional. We felt very well taken care of and trusted he would be able to deliver our expectations for the day (and he absolutely did!).

The food is catered by the restaurant at the Museum called, Claire's. We had such a difficult time making our food selections because everything was delicious. We had gotten several compliments about the menu options at our wedding. So while you are not able to use an outside caterer, you will not be disappointed by their onsite caterer.

I could go on forever about how great our experience was at LBMA. All in all-- excellent service, excellent venue, and excellent price. You will not find an ocean view wedding venue at this price in all of Southern California. I highly recommend having your wedding or event at LBMA, you will not be disappointed!

Words can't express how grateful my husband and I are to have had the wedding of our dreams at LBMA!!!! There is no other venue in the world that I would have rather had my wedding take place. Everything down to the finest details were taken care of so seamlessly by the attentive and caring staff. From food and alcohol tastings, to mapping out our tables and selecting our chairs and utensils, to the month of meeting, the LBMA staff was there listening and prepared to deliver on our big day. They provided input and guidance and were more than gracious in making sure every request of ours was met.
A very special shout out to Adreanna and Dahnia for going ABOVE AND BEYOND to deliver and exceed our expectations. They took care of us from start to finish and treated my family as if we were their own. When Adreanna left on maternity leave, Dahnia stepped in full time and was so quick to respond to every email and phone call we had with questions regarding even the smallest details. Our experience would not have been the same had these two incredible ladies not been a huge part of making our wedding flawless. I cannot wait to return to the venue for brunch at the delicious Claire's restaurant and share our wedding book with Dahnia and Adreanna. 10/10 would recommend this venue to anyone that is looking for a beautiful and charming venue with incredibly delicious food and drinks, a stunning view of Long Beach and a staff and coordinators that will do everything possible to put you at ease not only on your wedding day, but in all of the months leading up to it as well. I am eternally grateful for all of the fond memories I will have and those that were made possible by everyone involved at LBMA.

I cannot rave ENOUGH about Long Beach Museum of Art! I've been a wedding planner for the past 10 years and the team at LBMA is one of the absolute best that I've worked with. Every one of my couples who sees LBMA instantly falls in love (what's not to love about a waterfront view??). The food is also not only great for "wedding food", it's stellar food!! Their staff is so detailed, the customer service is unparalleled, and they're a fine tuned machine. Could not recommend them more highly!

From start to finish, LBMA exceeded all of our wedding expectations. This place and Sara are amazing!!! We had such an beautiful wedding and it was so easy!!! We couldn't have found a better venue, and trust me we looked at about 11 up and down the coast! This review is woefully belated but the gratitude my husband and I have for everyone at LBMA knows no time limit. We were married there in May. The area is stunning, beautiful view of the beach and charming buildings full of great art, but the people that work there are really what stands out. I'm just going to copy below the email that we sent Sara, our venue coordinator, after our wedding because I think it sums up how great our experience was with them:

"Dear Sara and team of superheroes,

We just wanted to say THANK YOU for everything you and the whole team did to make our wedding so absolutely perfect. We were just blown away by how hard everyone worked and how unendingly nice they were, especially when the next day was another big event. Over and over me and E have said to each other how much it meant that everyone seemed really invested in making sure we had a wonderful day. The LBMA staff are our personal superheroes.

The food was somehow even better than at the tasting and the drinks were perfect. E's grandfather, who usually refuses to drink anything but Budweiser, even loved the lavender whiskey magic the bartender made (enough of it to make him dance, something else he won't do, much to E's grandmother's delight). The tent looked AMAZING, we are so lucky that we got to use it. The lighting, just everything was so lovely.

Sara, you have just been absolutely the best throughout this whole process. We always felt 110 times better after meeting with you and we could not have asked for anyone better to help shepherd us through all the madness. You are so stellar at your job, but also just a marvelous human being and well, we just think you rock.

Please let the whole team know that they have our unending gratitude for everything they did for us, especially all that we don't even know about.

The Long Beach Museum of Art was the perfect location for our summer wedding. We could not have asked for a more beautiful and elegant location. Besides the ocean front view, the onsite buildings are gorgeous and rich in history. LBMA is an all-inclusive experience, providing both the ceremony and reception venue, catering, and breathtaking views. They provide you with a plethora of preferred vendors, ranging from florists and Djs to transportation. If you are looking for a venue with great food, look no further. Claire's at the Museum has an excellent selection of food from the appetizers to the main course. We have eaten at the restaurant before and knew the food was incredible. The food for our wedding was amazing. The top sirloin was perfectly cooked, the chicken was tender and the salmon was perfect. We could not have asked for a better meal! The team at LBMA is phenomenal. We worked with Sara from our first meeting until the wedding day. She is professional, sweet and extremely organized!! She has an answer to literally everything. She helped us organize and shape our wedding day into the image we had in mind. She recommended vendors to us, set up food tastings and drink tastings, and answered any and all questions we had. On our wedding day she made sure everything went smoothly and without a hitch. If any problems came up, I did not know about them. She took care of everything and made sure we enjoyed every minute of our day. In the end, she was the glue that held everything together. I would highly recommend this venue. Between the amazing staff, great food and wonderful drinks, we could not have asked for a better wedding experience. I would recommend contacting vendors from the preferred vendors. They know the venue well and have worked with the coordinating team a lot in the past. Thank you LBMA and Sara for the best wedding we could have asked for!

From the moment my now-husband and I met the team at LBMA, we knew that it was the wedding venue for us! The location is gorgeous (a view of the ocean was a non-negotiable), and it is much more affordable than many venues on the coast in the LA area. The Special Events team are rockstars, especially Sara, and they made us feel as though we were a part of the LBMA family before we even signed our contract! Sara was there for us for nearly a year (and patiently answered all of my random and very detailed questions) - and on the day of, she and her team made everything run smoothly. They were so accommodating with all of our requests and ideas - and seemed to have fun helping us plan both our ceremony and reception. The venue offers lots of perks and was able to accommodate all the ideas we had (setting up our personal decorations throughout the venue, using sparklers, pet-friendly, taking photos at different points throughout the day - in the museum, at the ceremony site, on the beach) and - most importantly - the team made sure that we were well-fed in the midst of all the activity! Speaking of the food, by Claire's at the museum, many of our guests said it was the best wedding food they have ever had. We loved everything we tried at our tasting (narrowing it down to a menu was the hard part!) and the staff made sure we had a little bit of everything throughout the day. The signature cocktails were delicious, and the beer/wine selection appeals to all tastes. Lastly, they have a rental company they work with for all your table/chair/linen/place setting needs and it was great to not have to worry about coordinating that on our own.

Our day was exactly what we had hoped for and more - largely in part to the LBMA. Our photos are gorgeous, our guests had a great time, and we were able to "customize" the wedding to fit our personalities (which is not always possible at a more "standard" venue). My husband and I had our dream wedding at the Long Beach Museum of Art a few weeks ago and can’t recommend this place enough.

The venue itself is beautiful. You have the ocean backdrop, the beautiful brick buildings, and the lush grass. It’s like you’re getting all the aesthetically pleasing things you could possibly wish for. You could spin the wedding into a Nautical wedding, a garden wedding, a black tie affair. It’s just that versatile. We walked in the first time and instantly fell in love with the venue!

Sara and her staff were amazing to work with and they made up for the fact we didn't have a wedding coordinator. Sara was there for us the whole time and got us anything we needed!

There were NO hidden fees and they returned our security deposit 3 days after the wedding.

Only downfalls (they didn't really matter to us though):
-Your event has to start by 5:30 and end by 10. Our wedding felt very short. There’s no possibility for extending the wedding because it functions as a museum in the day time and there’s a night ordinance for sound.
-You have to use their catering services and rentals on site. However the food is delicious and the rentals went smoothly!
-You must use their preferred vendor for valet parking. It was an additional expense we weren’t planning on (~$1000 for 150 guests) but in the end it was nice not having to try and find parking on that busy street.

The LBMA was my dream venue. I never thought that it would be a reality. Having an initial meeting with the ladies of the special events team (Sara and Nalleli) they assured me that I could make this the place of my dreams. THEY WERE RIGHT! Every detail I wanted, I had. The staff was AMAZING, the epitome of customer service. I couldn't have asked for a better day. And the executive chef, Martin, is an EXTRAORDINARY chef who is personable and easy going. I'm sad my day is over because I don't get to pop in on them. Guess lunch at Claire's is in order very soon!

Nallely and her amazing team made our day spectacular! The venue itself is beautiful as is, but we were allowed to place a bit of our own flair to the place to personalize the spacet. The evening was magical and Nallely handled every little thing imaginable so as to keep the night running perfectly smooth. Her team is professional, friendly and had constant smiles on their bright and cheery faces. Claire's provided incredible food dishes, which turned out even better than we received at our food tasting. Jaime and his bartending crew created a specialized drink for the occasion. He has a knack for creating exotic concoctions out of seasonal fruits and herbs. A spectacular touch to the night.
I don't see myself EVER getting married again, but if I do, i'd do it all over again at the Long Beach Museum of Art!

We fell in love with this venue immediately. We wanted a small intimate wedding with a gorgeous view. Nallely and her staff were amazing! Nallely was very professional and helped manage our big day smoothly. Everyone was friendly and it was a pleasure to work with them. We got so many compliments on the venue and the food was deeelicious!

LBMA was where my husband and I had our first date, naturally it was the perfect spot for our wedding! Nallely (and of course all the other people, like Adreanna) were so incredibly helpful, knowledgeable and caring! They were ALWAYS friendly (even while getting stressed out calls from *cough* a stressed out bride). The wedding was smooth with them keeping us on time. We were so thankful to have them and would recommend the LBMA to anyone having a wedding in Southern California!

When looking for venues for our reception (we got married in a Catholic church) I wanted something more unique than your typical hotel ballroom. As soon as I visited LBMA, I knew it was perfect! The beautiful ocean view and unique location was just right for my reception. After the wedding, guest continuously commented about how beautiful/unique/amazing/perfect the LBMA was! I was so happy to hear they loved it as much as I did! Not only is it beautiful, the staff is amazing! We worked with both Sara and Andrea and they were so nice and helpful and accommodating through the entire wedding planning process, and on the day of! They couldn't have been better! Overall it was definitely a 5+ star experience and I highly recommend it!

The Long Beach MOA was the absolute perfect place to have our big day! They have the perfect combination of the two biggest things when looking at venues...the venue itself being beautiful and the venue's staff being helpful. We were highly impressed with both as the venue is very gorgeous and unique and our coordinators Sara and Nallely were amazing! They both were extremely important to us and helped us out greatly through all the planning leading up to and then on the actual day of. We couldn't have had such a wonderful and memorable wedding without them and it allowed us to be confident through all the stages of our wedding and make the most of everything. Thank you so much for all your hard work! The LBMOA and all the staff there will always have a memorable place in out hearts not just because we said 'I Do' there but because of all the amazing memories that were created and people we met along the way!

The staff at LBMA was amazing. I have never worked with such professional and kind people before. They were very flexible with what we needed and made sure everything was perfect. They made our day so special and it is a day we will never forget! We had so many complaints on the venue - truly amazing!!!

I have nothing but great things to say about this venue. It was a perfect location to have both the ceremony and reception in one place, and the view is amazing! They are very accommodating to your budget and schedule, and the staff alone was impeccable! They have a bridal & groom suite at separate housings in one location, and the bridal suite was in the main historic mansion. They provided bucket of beers for the boys and a bottle of champagne with cheese and fruit platter for the ladies! We ordered more from the menu and the food is absolutely delish!

They allowed groom photography to take place in the museum and I can't wait to see them!! The staff was helpful throughout the whole 10 month process, and they went above and beyond with their services. Sara and her team was amazing with our dog as well. They made the day of stress free and everything went smoothly even in the sudden temperature drop that week! They filled in the gaps seamlessly and I was very impressed!! I would do it all over again with them but thank goodness it's a one time thing for us because we didn't hire a wedding planner. However, they did a superb job following through and stepping it up as event coordinators. I adore them!! I can't wait to go back just to say hello. We're now part of the LBMA family! :)

I was lucky to get married at the Museum two weeks ago and it was the HAPPIEST day of my life. We had Andrea as our coordinator and from day 1 she made me feel at ease and stress free. If by chance she wasn't there when I called or emailed with one of my hundred lame bridal questions someone else in the office QUICKLY responded to me and never made me feel like a bother or nuisance.
On the day of our wedding everything was perfect - the team worked together and everything went off without a hitch.
My one recommendation for the next bride/groom - pay the extra $ and start at 5pm...you will want the extra time to enjoy this event and this venue...cannot wait to see my pictures and have future events at the Museum.
Thank you Andrea for EVERYTHING - you truly helped to make it the day of best day of my life!

We had so many compliments from our wedding guests about the venue, even had a few tell me they would think about LBMA when it's time for them to get married. Everyone loved the view of the ocean and heard many good comments about the dinner (we had chosen the marinated tri tip and fresh tilapia). My husband and I had picked this place for our wedding because it was one of the few venues where the ceremony and reception were outside, whereas many of the hotels we looked at along the coast had only the ceremony outdoors and the reception in their ballrooms. Plus, LBMA was more in our budget in comparison with the hotels and other venues we had seen. Also, because LBMA comes with their own catering, bar, and seating and dining rentals, it took away a lot of the stress of finding vendors for all of that. Andrea was my main contact throughout the process and she was amazing. I didn't know what I was doing really and she made it an easy process and offered suggestions and was as sweet as can be. Our wedding went off without any problems and it was an amazing experience having it there. I will definitely recommend it to my friends and family.

Thank you is not enough. Everything was perfect. My guests have not stopped complimenting on how beautiful your grounds were and how perfect your servers were. Even the 21 kids had nothing but smiles on their faces! That is a tough job to do during a wedding....they were having as much fun as I was!
Everything was set up according to plans and any changes I needed last minute were made. They are a true bunch of professionals who genuinely see to your needs....they all understand and will remind you that this is your day, nothing is too small or too big! Sarah, thank you for all your patience and smiles. I have already suggested, more like insisted, a friend use your venue next year! Working with the staff at the Long Beach Museum of Art to plan my wedding and reception was such a great experience. Everyone was so positive, friendly, and helpful. My event planners were Sara and Nallely. Both of them have such a happy disposition that it was actually enjoyable and exciting to meet with them to plan my event. My whole family and some of my husband's family had the opportunity to meet them and our families had only kind feedback about them. In fact, by the end of our event, I was a little bit sad that I didn't need to work with them anymore. Through the whole experience I felt like I had made two new friends. On top of such great service, my event was beautiful and very comfortable for me and my husband, as well as our guests. Throughout the whole party, and ever since, people keep commenting to me how beautiful of a location and venue it was at the LBMA.

I had my wedding reception at the Long Beach Museum of Art and had the best experience! Besides the gorgeous and unique location, Andrea and Sara & staff were extremely professional, consistent, and had amazing follow through. I would give them a 10 on this scale if it were possible. A+ event coordination!

From day 1, I was given a wedding packet and a timeline of what to expect and estimated costing. They returned my emails and happily met with us on time and with all information. They confirmed dates, outstanding information, and all my special requests in a timely manner. Andrea even had an idea of when the marine layer would lift and when the sun goes down in July so we could time photographs.

I had ZERO worries on the day of my wedding. Andrea even came out to greet us when we arrived with a server with our appetizers and glasses of water on a tray! Our friends and family were so complimentary on the day of the wedding with the event site and staff. You can't get a better deal and service by the beach. And, we opted to keep the museum open during cocktail hour, what a treat for our guests!

They exceeded my expectations and I would strongly recommend LBMA and their staff.

My husband and I were married at the Long Beach Museum of Art about two months ago! I could not have asked for a more perfect setting for our wedding- the venue was absolutely beautiful and aside from us loving it- we got so many complements on it! Seriously, walking down the aisle and seeing my handsome groom surrounded by palm trees and the ocean in the background was such a dream. The venue allowed us to have a sweet intimate setting with all our favorite people. :)

Aside from the aesthetics of the venue, our coordinator Andrea was beyond amazing. She played a BIG role in our decision to have our wedding at LBMA. Andrea is so sweet, easy to work with, and someone you can totally get excited about your wedding with! She is so incredibly organized and on top of things- I could not imagine having planned our wedding without her! She was always quick to respond to e-mails, flexible to schedule last minute appointments or change appointments, and helped our day run so smoothly. I knew I could trust her opinions and rely on her to be there for our big day and that's exactly what she did. :)

The food was also nothing short of amazing. We got so many complements on it and people kept talking about it even after our wedding- and the portions were a good size too.

I would choose this venue over and over again if I had to start from square one again. It was the perfect setting for our first moments together as husband and wife and I couldn't imagine having gotten married anywhere else. Everyone at LBMA was wonderful from start to finish. I couldn't have dreamed up a better team to help pull off such a sweet day.

I absolutely LOVED this venue!!!! It has a gorgeous view of the ocean, an interesting museum, a great menu, and a gorgeous historic building. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly (unlike someplaces we visited). I can't imagine having my wedding anyplace else. The grass area outside is really nice because you can really go any style you want--gardeny, modern, chic, elegant--it is kind of an fresh canvas. I also was really happy to choose a venue where I am supporting the arts and a museum.

The staff at the Long Beach Museum were incredibly easy to work with. They were flexible and assisted with making the wedding fit my budget. I never felt that they were trying to up-sale me and were honest about were to spend my money to make the biggest difference. There were no hidden fees either. Above all they were kind. I would recommend this venue to anyone who is looking for something unique and different from the same old hotel wedding. The nicest part... it was cheaper then any of the hotel venues we visited.

We had our wedding in September 2013 at the Long Beach Museum of Art and it was absolutely perfect! Thanks to the Museum staff as we were able to enjoy every moment of it. From the beginning planning stages of booking the venue to after our wedding day, the professionalism and commitment of the staff was an A+. Our main contact person for our event was Sara, who is a wedding coordinator for the Museum. We have never worked with someone that is so genuine, professional, and makes the couple & families feel at ease. Sara took care of all of the details and on the day of our wedding everything flowed together so seamlessly. She ensured that everyone knew what they were doing and the entire highly trained staff worked together like clockwork. Sara even made sure that my wife and I got our meals first, so we got to eat before greeting all our guests. The food was incredible. Claire's at the museum catered the food and everyone was raving about it. We had the stuffed chicken, orange glazed salmon, and a vegetarian mushroom dish. I would highly recommend the Museum for any event. Our wedding was beyond our dreams amazing!

We loved this place! The setting is gorgeous - outdoor, overlooking the water at sunset. We got a lot of compliments on how beautiful our wedding reception was. The event staff (Sara & Andrea) were very helpful during the entire planning process. They are very easy and comfortable to work with, and really help out when you don't know what you're doing. On the day of the reception, all of the staff was very accommodating and professional. We have absolutely no regrets choosing this as our reception venue.

It's two venues in one! Beautiful outdoor venue with ocean views AND a museum wedding with art exhibits! The views are amazing, the food is delicious, the staff is so helpful... It all went great! My husband and I absolutely loved having our wedding at the Long Beach Museum of Art. The setting was perfect and the price was more than right - it was the only place we truly wanted to have our wedding at and the venue fee was less than half of that of the other venue we were considering. My only comment is that sometimes it took 2-4 days for LBMA's coordinator to get back to us. This wasn't a huge problem but I would have liked some acknowledgement of receipt of my email by another LBMA staffer, even if our contact was unavailable. A suggestion to the museum might be giving their amazing events employees individual email addresses so they can set out of office responses. Again, not a big deal and this shouldn't deter anyone from hosting an event at this fabulous venue.

Working with the LBMA was wonderful! Sara was very helpful and responsive to my (many, many) emails. The day-of was picture perfect - she was very helpful, organized and cheerful. Even though she was just the venue coordinator (rather than my wedding coordinator), she was so helpful during every step of process leading up to the wedding.

The venue requires that you use their contracted vendors (food, beverages and valet) - but other than that they are super flexible. The food was fantastic! We received many compliments on many aspects of our wedding, including food, scenery and setting - a little gem hidden in Long Beach.

I highly recommend the LBMA if you are looking for an outside, garden-style wedding with a fantastic view.

We had our wedding at the LBMA on October 4th, 2014. It's an absolutely beautiful venue and overall, we had a very good experience working with the staff to plan our wedding.

Shortly after we booked the LBMA, our original coordinator (Andrea) left the LBMA. After that our coordinators were Sara and Nallely and then just Nallely, and she was awesome! Nallely made our meetings (food, wine, and beer tasting and month-out) so much fun and throughout the planning process, she was super helpful and flexible. She made suggestions when we couldn't make decisions and she was accomodating to special requests.

At the rehearsal and the day of, Nallely was fabulous! She coordinated our rehearsal very professionally and was super sweet when people were late. Our wedding day was amazing! We were on, or ahead of, schedule the entire time, the food was absolutely delicious (we got many compliments), and the staff was friendly and professional. We were especially pleased with all the extras that were included in the cost of the venue and catering, including lighting and the gallery being open for cocktail hour.

We did, however, have some communication issues during the planning process. We were particularly frustrated by the LBMA's email system. They have one email address that several people monitor, so when we sent an email to our coordinator, any one of 4 or 5 people would respond. This was a problem as we often had to repeat conversation history with whomever was responding. We sometimes received double responses from different people, and had to be vigilant about our paperwork to make sure it stayed accurate.

Despite the communication kinks, we felt very well cared for by the LBMA and Nallely. The venue is gorgeous and the quality of the food and service really made our wedding day perfect!

This review is long overdue. I got married at the Long Beach Museum of Art on 10/15/16. When I first found this place on The Knot, I called and got a pretty good estimate through the phone. A couple days later I was there for a tour and booked the venue that same day. It is hard not to fall in love with it. The venue has a breathtaking view of the ocean, a beautiful grass area, a cool modern fountain and beautiful brick buildings. I booked the venue just for the reception since I had my ceremony at a church. At first I work with Adreanna. Adreanna was very nice and helpful however, I felt that every time I had a meeting with her I always had some unanswered questions. Two weeks before the wedding I had a meeting with her supervisor (Sarajeva) since Adreanna was going to be out of town for the day of my wedding. Sarajeva and I had an excellent meeting and I felt that day knowing that my wedding would be in good hands. The day of the wedding I had a little wardrobe malfunction so I was not there to greet my guests at the beginning like I wanted, Sarajeva was there to help out in every way she could, she brought my mom and I some drinks and even opened the bar a little bit earlier for my guests who were arriving sooner than expected. To me that is taking customer service to the next level. We fixed my dress and we were ready to enjoy the party. My husband and I had our first dance right at sunset with the Pacific Ocean as our backdrop. We enjoyed our dinner and danced the night away. There were some glitches here and there (mostly with my complicated, untraditional) timeline but none of that mattered the day off. Everything was absolutely beautiful, the tables, the placement, the wedding favors, the drinks were amazing, the music was good, the lights were beautiful. I have to give it to Sarajeva for being superwoman the day of my wedding. Handling my wild guests and a very drunk bride at the end of the night she was extremely professional and just amazing. LMBA was the first place we visited when selecting a venue and while we went to a bunch of others this one stood out because of the beautiful location, package service and Sara, who was our awesome event coordinator. The planning was really easy and Sara walked us through everything and gave us plenty of great advice from her years of experience to steer us in the right direction to have the perfect event. They were super accomodating to last minute changes and requests. We used their preferred vendor list primarily to select our vendors and they were all fantastic.

The location was absolutely stunning, and our out-of-town guests were very impressed with the views at such a beautiful location. The food was outstanding and we are still receiving complements on the main courses. One of my favorite parts of planning the wedding was getting to try all of the delicious food! Sara, the event coordinator, was a dream to work with; she answered all of my questions and was able to offer many helpful suggestions to make the event a huge success.

What a wonderful place. Beautiful wedding. Great food. I mean, GREAT food. Such a beautiful setting. Very flexible with what we wanted to do with the decorations. My only issue was that our original planner changed jobs 5 months before our wedding and we got new planners. They were awesome - except for missing some of the details. I feel like we had so many people cover our wedding that the specific notes and directions for our wedding was missed. I don't think any wedding is perfect. Things happen. This is an amazing place and I would have my wedding there again. I highly recommend them. I think the price is pretty good for the view and the location, etc.

We had our ceremony and reception at LBMA last month, and we could not have been happier with our entire experience from beginning to end. When we first began contacting possible venues last year, Jose at LBMA was the most responsive to all of our questions and the most willing to be flexible so that we could create the kind of day we really wanted. My husband and I were planning our wedding from out of state, so that flexibility and responsiveness made things so much easier for us. We met Sara, the site's special events coordinator, at our first visit to the venue last December, and I can honestly say her genuine enthusiasm for her job made me want to work with her. She and Jose worked out every aspect of the contract with us until we felt completely comfortable and then followed through on every promise they had made (even the ones we failed to put in writing). Sara and her assistant, Andrea, were always available when I had a question or needed to change something in the months leading up to the big day. And on the day of our event, even our guests commented on how wonderful these two women were.

Claire's - the exclusive caterer for LBMA - was magnificent. My husband and I had resigned ourselves to the fact that wedding food is never very memorable, as we can't imagine how a kitchen can make that many plates of food taste consistently good. And yet...the meals served at our wedding were absolutely delicious. The staff was wonderful and made sure our food was served in a timely manner, which meant we had more time for the most important part of the reception: the dancing!

The only downside to this venue actually has nothing to do with LBMA itself but rather with Long Beach noise ordinances - we had to have all music off by 10 p.m. Our guests were left wanting more time on the dance floor, and so were we! Still, everyone there told us it was the best, funnest wedding they had been to. We're so grateful to all the LBMA did to make our day so amazing.

Overall we are happy with Long Beach Museum of Art (LBMA) and the services they've provided. The venue is beautiful, especially at night. Quality of service was good but the food was only okay. Sara was our main coordinator and she was very easy to work with. She is responsive and professional. She was very outgoing and fun to work with. Throughout the planning process, we only had to meet with them a couple of times to get things finalized and on the day of, Sara was great and helped with things that were probably outside of her responsibilities as a venue coordinator. Although there were some mishaps on the day of due to LBMA's lack of coordination or whatever the reason may be, things sometimes happened outside of anyone's control even though we tried our best to make our special day perfect. Overall I am satisfied with their services and do recomend the place. It is absolutely beautiful and not too many venues has both ceremony and reception outdoor, which was what we wanted.

Very beautiful venue. Recent price hike for facility rental make it very expensive. The facility coordinator changed several times during my planning time but the day of there were no problems. They were fairly accomodating with the delivery of my rentals for drop off and pick ups.

The venue is really beautiful. And the food is amazing. So our guests were super super super happy.

Planning was a huge pain in the neck! I can't blame anyone because they were extremely flexible and helped move my outdoor ceremony indoors and we were still able to capture a beautiful ocean view at sunset.

If your wedding is on the small side, <75, definitely go for it! Another tip: take as many photos at the venue as possible! It's really a gem in Long Beach!

LBMA is a venue with so much character. It's not just a usual venue overlooking the ocean. It has a real unique feel about it but at the same time, it was a blank slate that you can do anything in the venue to make it "your wedding". For us, it was such a romantic, intimate setting that really set the mood for our wedding. The views are amazing and the whether you do an indoor or outdoor wedding, you do not have to do much to make it look spectacular because of the venue. The food was great. Sara is such a sweetheart. She was a little hard to get in touch with because she does all the events at the museum and always busy but once you get her, she will help you and will get things done, especially the day of. We had 63 people at our wedding and this place was perfect.

My husband and I had our wedding at long beach museum of art in 2013. The place is stunning. My husband and I fell in love with the place when we visited for the first time. Staffs are very friendly and flexible for things we wanted to be. However, my husband and I was a little irritated by coordinator who always forgot to update our changes regarding wedding schedules via email. So it took longer time to discuss about it when we had meeting face to face. Other than this, everything was great! We had the most beautiful fun wedding at the venue.

My wedding reception was at the The Long Beach Museum of Art and it was absolutely beautiful! However, the service is not so great, but since the location and the grounds are so beautiful, I would still not have my reception anywhere else. The museum event planner is very unorganized and it shows. That is the only problem I came across, but it's a pretty big problem because it determines if what you ask for actually happens. You'll have to worry about this the entire time you plan your event. But like I said, it was still worth it because the view and the grounds are just breathtaking. I don't regret having my reception there at all, I just had to work really hard to make sure I was heard. There were a couple things that went wrong, but I don't think anyone noticed but me.
