  We love LonaCakes! The cake was absolutely beautiful - it looked like something out of a story book. It was so elegant and exactly what we were looking to have! It not only looked gorgeous - but it tasted delicious too!

  Lona and Anna did such an amazing job at our winter wedding! We had a ceremonial cake and an assortment of cake truffles, mini cupcakes, and regular cupcakes. Our guests LOVED the desserts, and the presentation was beautiful! Literally all of our desserts were gone by the end of the night, and from what I hear that usually doesn't happen. Beyond their fabulous work, both Lona and Anna were incredible to work with! All we had to do is make a decision on what we wanted and then they handled everything else with our caterer. They are completely professional, personable, and kind people to work with. We would recommend them for your wedding, and really any event you are hosting! Thank you Lona and Anna for making our day one we will never forget!

  Lona made us an absolutely spectacular cake, and both her and Anna were wonderful to work with through the whole process! I watched all of the wedding cake shows growing up, so I really wanted something beautiful and unique and LonaCakes was able to totally exceed my expectations all while working to stay within our budget. Our cake was fall themed, 4 tier (2 dummy tiers) ivory cake with navy blue ribbon, a realistic chocolate branch winding up the tiers and the most beautiful hand painted sugar fall leaves on the branch and extras that had "fallen" on the tiers and the base. Not only was the wedding cake beautiful, but SO incredibly delicious! We opted for the black and white cake with cookies and creme filling, this was the perfect compromise for my fiance and I, but they had so many amazing flavors it was honestly hard to choose. If you choose LonaCakes for your wedding you will not be disappointed! They helped make our day more perfect than we could have ever imagined!

  Lona was very easy to work with. She did exactly what my daughter wanted for her wedding cake and made a few suggestions that we loved. The cakes were delicious and the presentation was awesome!

  I absolutely loved my wedding cake and grooms cake! From our first meeting Lona made it clear she could create anything we wanted and appreciated the challenge! She created a stunning five tier large red velvet wedding cake exactly as I pictured it. It was simply gorgeous and tasted equally delicious!! For a non traditional flare we did a grooms cake and Lona created a life size sneaker of my husbands favorite shoe, a model of our beloved dog Bella and incorporated the Chicago bulls emblem and basketball. Our dog model was so cute and so realistic, it was wonderful. Not to mention the cake was so yummy as well! Our wedding day was amazing and our cakes were literally the "icing on top"! Thank you Lonacakes!!

  Lona made us an extraordinary cake. We chose the white cake with strawberry margarita filling. It. was. heavenly. The cake was moist and not too sweet and the filling was just the right amount and you could definitely taste the strawberry and lime. During the initial meeting we got to taste several flavors of cake and filling and they were all so good. Lona took down the description of the cake I had in mind and I showed her a photo of something similar to what I was thinking. I sent her a couple swatches of my bridal party color, and come wedding day, we had the perfect cake. It was an Irish wedding and the cake had green shamrocks all around and beautiful daisies (my bouquet flower) that Lona made. It was delivered by her right on time and the whole experience was very fun and professional. Lona is a beautiful person who makes beautiful cakes and if you are in her area, I wouldn't go with anyone else.

  It was a pleasure working with Lona and Anna of LonaCakes. They were kind, professional and made the whole process go smoothly.   We had a small cake made for our wedding, just 10 people. We just got a simple vanilla cake with vanilla iciing. My little brother ate approximately half of the cake on his own, so I'd say that it was a hit. The decorations were amazing, I asked for two little fondant cats on the top of the cake and they came out perfectly exactly like the picture I sent. They were absolutely darling and the flowers as an additional decoration were beautiful. She was very accommodating with all my requests and helped me pick out some elements of the decorations when I wasn't exactly sure what I wanted.

  Lona Cakes went above and beyond, right from the tastings. I was impressed with their professionalism, their personalization, and their flare! I gave them a general idea what I wanted the cake to look at, and they made it happen and then some! The cake turned out to look exactly what I had wanted; casual yet elegant, and very very cute with our otter cake toppers and fresh flowers cascading down the side.
  
  My first words after our cake cutting ceremony were "OMG IT'S SO GOOD!" We had four tiers alternating cake flavors of the vanilla and lemon, as I am not a big fan of chocolate, and they were wonderful choices. The cake was thick yet succulent, filled with creamy layers of buttermilk frosting and probably the best cake I have ever had the honor of tasting.
  
  Everyone at the wedding was raving about it all night, I think it's one of the things that I am most proud of to have had it!

She offers a wide variety of cake, filling, and frosting flavors and well as some incredibly beautiful sugar flowers that she creates by hand. She is very talented and can do a huge range of designs.
  Three weeks before our wedding we had a large change in requirements and she was unbelievably flexible and went above and beyond to make things perfect. All she asked of me the week of the event was what time the wedding would be and when we would be cutting the cake. The rest was like magic. The entire experience was a joy and we are so pleased with how everything went.

  Lona prepared a beautiful cake for our wedding! It was exactly how we imagined, and she was very flexible with our requests and last minute changes. Also, just a suggestion...I would recommend the cookies and cream filling. Yum!

  Lona Gutchess of LonaCakes created a delicious and beautiful wedding cake for my reception in March of last year. She was very helpful and involved through all the stages of planning. My husband and I had our tasting early on, before we had figured out our invitations, decorations, or other specific details. Lona gave us some great ideas about how to tie everything together. Wedding planning is a big undertaking and she was one of those people who made things much more manageable. We sampled several different options, ranging from classic pairings to the more unique. We chose an apple cake with caramel frosting. I know those aren't traditional wedding favors but it was so ridiculously good! Ultimately, we decided to match the cake with our invitations, which depicted mountains that my husband and I had hiked on a memorable trip to California. The three layer cake showed a different part of the mountain range on each tier and had handmade sugar flowers that looked JUST like the flowers in my bouquet. Lona even made an emblem with our initials that matched something my husband created for our website. It was just so personal to us. The cake was so good that many guests remarked on how delicious it tasted. We had such a great experience overall and highly recommend LonaCakes.

  Lona was very friendly and accommodating. We had a wonderful cake tasting and meeting where we discussed our ideas for our cake. Lona is an artist and came up with amazingly creative ideas based on our vision, and worked within our budget, too. Anna was great with getting us our paperwork/invoices. Lona is an artist and came up with amazingly creative ideas based on our vision, and worked within our budget, too. Anna was great with getting us our paperwork/invoices.
