Hiring Kimmi and Dragonfly Experiences was the single best decision we made for our wedding.
We hosted a ~150-person destination wedding in May 2025 at Half Moon in Montego Bay, Jamaica, with four events across three days: a Welcome Party, a Pool Party, a Rehearsal Dinner, and our Wedding Day—with a 10-piece live band and DJ-led after party to close it out. We’re based in NYC and planned nearly everything virtually. Kimmi was instrumental in making the entire weekend feel intentional, beautiful, and completely seamless from afar.
She brought an extraordinary mix of vision, calm, creativity, and logistical mastery to the planning process. No detail was too small, no last-minute change too complicated. She turned what could have been an overwhelming experience into something full of ease, joy, and heart.
Kimmi worked gracefully with both of our families, alleviating any tension or stress around logistics and decisions. She had a special ability to balance opinions, keep everyone feeling included, and make sure things moved forward smoothly. She also kept me honest about our budget—helping me prioritize, figure out where to cut, and still deliver a weekend that exceeded every expectation.
Each event had its own distinct feel—thanks to Kimmi:
The Welcome Party was warm and celebratory, even though we spent the least time planning it. Kimmi made quick, thoughtful calls on-site (like switching the wine to something I loved!) and set the tone for the weekend perfectly.
The Pool Party became a surprise favorite. Guests went wild for the Jamaican patties and KFC. Kimmi managed everything—cash orders, timing, pickup logistics—so we could simply enjoy.
The Rehearsal Dinner was a glowing all-white affair that felt elevated, intimate, and magical. From branded coconuts to twinkle-lit tablescapes under palm trees, it looked like a styled shoot but felt completely personal.
Our Wedding Day was a dream. Kimmi helped us upgrade to a 10-piece band that had everyone on the dance floor all night. She also found the DJ for our after party—and wow. He kept the energy high and effortlessly wove in our playlist. People are still talking about that dance floor.
From a last-minute tent pivot that turned out beautifully, to the fruit centerpieces and a perfectly timed post-ceremony song, Kimmi didn’t just execute—she elevated.
She also curated a phenomenal vendor team. Our beauty team (Sue and Cadey) made every bridesmaid look and feel like the best version of themselves. My mom felt more beautiful than she ever has. The food was outstanding—guests said it was the best wedding food they’d ever had. And Kimmi kept everything moving without it ever feeling rigid or rushed.
What I appreciated most was Kimmi’s combination of heart and precision. She understood my vision, brought it to life in ways I couldn’t have imagined, and made the entire weekend feel joyful, grounded, and unforgettable. Every rave message I’ve received from guests includes some version of: “You had the best planner.”
If you're planning a destination wedding, you want Kimmi in your corner. She’ll think of what you didn’t, fix what you couldn’t, and make it all feel effortless.
I would work with her again in a heartbeat—and feel lucky to now call her a friend. -

I was referred to Kimmi by one of my nearest and dearest friends, and from our very first meeting, we experienced what can only be described as a series of happy coincidences— it truly was serendipity. Every detail seemed to align effortlessly, from the vendors she recommended to a surprising personal connection we uncovered in our family histories. There are really only six degrees of separation in Jamaica.
To put things into perspective, I am a Type A person - who worries about everyone and everything. I also want to make everyone else happy. I knew planning a wedding could become overwhelming, especially with the absence of my Dad. But Kimmi immediately understood how to support me through the emotional ups and downs, giving us space to grieve, including navigating complex family dynamics. Her calm presence and expert guidance were exactly what I needed. I also learnt to let go a bit during this process.
On the big day, everything ran flawlessly. If anything went wrong, I never knew about it—because Kimmi and her team handled it gracefully. Even when my mom panicked because she couldn’t zip up the corset portion of my dress, Kimmi kept everyone calm and focused. She created a beautifully detailed timeline that brought the day together in a way I couldn’t have imagined on my own.
What I truly loved most is that Kimmi was literally there from start to finish. We were the last ones to leave after midnight, and she was right there with us, ensuring every moment was just right. Even down to recommending that we do a first look!
Thank you so much Kimmi and her incredible team at Dragonfly for creating a day that was intimate, beautiful, and full of lots of happy tears! It was everything I dreamed of! -

We knew we wanted to work with Kimmi for our November wedding in Kingston. She planned another family member's wedding and we had the opportunity to witness firsthand her professionalism, her calm under pressure, and her reassuring nature. As a bride, I felt able to give Kimmi total control and confidence, she always prioritized my needs and wants, ensuring that I had the best possible day. Kimmi and her team were amazing to work with. Sydney was very organized and easy to communicate with. Kimmi was extremely responsive whenever we had any questions. They made a destination wedding seamless for us, from coordinating all the vendors, the schedule, the welcome bags. Kimmi used her expertise to guide us in the right direction for certain decisions and helped us stay within budget. Our wedding day ended up being so much better than we even imagined! -

Kimmi came highly recommended and let me say, hiring her was the best decision I made during the entire wedding planning process. I went into this planning experience with severe decision anxiety and Kimmi helped me conquer that every step of the way. Between weekly to-dos, all the Zoom calls, early morning texts on the subway, and what felt like hundreds of Google Docs, Kimmi worked tirelessly to keep me on track (which I did not make easy for her) and calm my anxieties. There was no question she couldn't answer, no vendor she wouldn't stand up to, no feat that was too big for our wedding fairy godmother. I once told her that it felt like I was her only bride, the amount of attention and care she gave to me during our 18 months of planning. Her attention to detail is superb and her heart has turned her from planner to friend. Friends and family who participated in the wedding as well as wedding guests were so impressed by how seamless everything went during our wedding weekend, and it is all thanks to Kimmi. Even during the weekend, she helped guests who wanted to go out off property and provided recommendations as well arranged transportation spontaneously. I was blown away by how willing she was to go above and beyond no matter the ask. I went from not even wanting a wedding to now texting Kimmi photos saying "let's do it again!". She truly is a gem of a human, a joy to work with, and will help you realize your wedding dreams! -

From our first conversation with Kimmi, we knew she was the perfect fit for us.
Prior to jumping on the intro call, we didn’t have a clear idea of what we wanted our wedding day to entail. By the end of the call, we were certain of two things: 1) we severely underestimated the work that goes into planning a wedding and 2) working with Kimmi was the only answer. Obviously she was extremely knowledgeable about the industry, but she has this aura of calmness and confidence about her that you can’t help but notice and take on yourself.
Leading up to our wedding, she was extremely responsive. She gathered estimates from various vendors and sent them our way to compare and approve. When we had questions (and trust me we had many), she had all the answers.
Come our wedding weekend, she was at our venue overseeing setup bright and early. In the afternoon, she walked us through rehearsal and returned back to the venue afterwards to ensure everything would be ready for the following day. Wedding day comes around and we are just blown away by everything. From making sure that everyone is on schedule and has everything they need, to running around in the Jamaican heat with our amazing photographer (shoutout Dwayne!!) to get in our perfect shots. Not to mention all the behind the scenes work that she orchestrated to make the day flow seamlessly.
Kimmi was an absolute dream to work with and I would highly recommend her to anyone. She not only met, but exceeded any and all expectations. She really is the best! Thank you Kimmi for a weekend we will remember for the rest of our lives ❤️ -

A wedding is not just about the aesthetics, it is also about celebrating and honoring the union of two people and doing so in a way that feels authentic to the two people. The BEST Wedding Planner!!
Reaching out to Kimmi was for sure the best Wedding-planning decision we made! Planning a destination wedding from another country proved to be very stressful at times, but once we had Kimmi on our team I felt a world of a difference. Kimmi is extremely knowledgeable, professional, and attentive - yet personable & makes you feel comfortable through the entire process! There were times through our planning process that we'd explain a concept or an idea, not quite sure how to bring it to life, but Kimmi always knew just how to take those ideas to the next level. Our experience w/ the DragonFly team was hands down one of our BEST wedding planning-to-day experiences. Kimmi was extremely hands on in ensuring she had all the details for the experience we wanted, provided several documents of examples for creating our wedding music, program, flow of the wedding and more plus assisted in editing the wording for our website etc.
Apart from executing a perfect wedding prior to and the morning of our wedding, it rained extremely hard for 2 hours before the commencement of our ceremony. Kimmi had already moved the altar to a covered area and assisted in shifting the entire ceremony to an area where our guests would be able to see us (remaining dry) and for the wedding party to be covered.
She's sweet, extremely warm and friendly, and thinks on her feet! She also ensures that the wedding couple has the wedding that THEY want (managing all the family ideas and more that will come with planning). We truly appreciated her and lover her dearly!

Our Dragonfly
When you see a dragonfly, it is telling you to love life, a symbol of change and to have faith even amidst difficulties. Kimmi is the true definition of a dragonfly. Having changed two countries and three cities later, Kimmi was there every step of the way. Every tear of sadness, I don’t know how, but magically she turned those doubtful times into pure happiness.

We have no idea how Kimmi does it, but we are 100% certain that our dream wedding wouldn’t have happened without her. We are so grateful for her patience, diligence and professionalism but we are most grateful for how supportive she was throughout the entire process. Not once did she make us feel as though something was impossible and was always ready to help us with whatever we needed. Even after our nuptials Kimmi helped us put together a thank you gift!
In the hours leading up to the wedding no one could understand how either of us were so calm! The truth is Kimmi made us feel absolutely confident in her ability to execute our wedding. Now, two weeks later and people are still talking about how much they enjoyed themselves!

Destination Wedding
You are in great hands with Kimmi! Having a destination wedding during a Pandemic is for lack of better words....insane! But Kimmi, with her calming, confident demeanor and expertise in sourcing local vendors truly made the experience seamless. From our first video conference, we knew she could execute the destination wedding of our dreams; and that she did! Kimmi is EVERYTHING and more that you'd want in a wedding planner and everything you didn't know you needed. She will not only make sure your every wedding dream comes true; she will exceed all unimaginable expectations from start to finish to realize your perfect day.
Being a 2020 bride came with a whole additional layer of challenges and emotions, but Kimmi was prepared for all of it. Every cancellation, every government restriction, every overwhelming, heartbreaking moment of trying to plan a wedding during COVID was made easier with Kimmi by our side. She was calm, prepared, and most importantly, ever hopeful and reassuring that no matter what, she was going to make our special day happen. We cancelled and rescheduled more than 3 times, and went from a wedding of 560 people to the new legal limit of 50 people. We were mentally and emotionally drained, but Kimmi kept us afloat. Despite having 10% of the original guest list, we still got 110% effort from her on all fronts. We genuinely could not have made it through the disaster of planning a wedding in 2020 without her. If she could handle us, she 10000% can pull off whatever event your heart desires. The heading says it all. She is our superwoman/goddess/hero/magician and more!!
Kimmi, we can’t thank you enough for the perfect fairytale wedding only you could pull off. Through all our obstacles, the entire day was beyond every expectation and felt like a dream we still haven’t woken up from. You got to know us better than we knew ourselves and were always there for me, my groom, my parents and in laws, helping us navigate every step of the way. Oh my God where do I begin... Kimmi is very professional, creative and innovative. Once we had our wedding date and gave her our ideas it was executed making our dream come true. From invitations,transportation to venues, you name it and she took care of it. She is awesome to work with and was there for us from beginning to end. Our guests were delighted to see and enjoyed every moment of our wedding.
