When we first met with Laura, we had no idea what kind of floral arrangements we wanted, let alone anything about flowers in general. Laura was extremely helpful in guiding us toward a look that we would be happy with for our wedding. She was so kind and patient in the face of our indecisiveness. We were thrilled with the result! All of the arrangements looked phenomenal and were exactly what we were looking for, even if we didn't know it initially. Laura also works closely with some fantastic florists who assisted on the day of our wedding to really turn our beautiful venue into something spectacular.When we first met with Laura, we had no idea what kind of floral arrangements we wanted, let alone anything about flowers in general. Laura was extremely helpful in guiding us toward a look that we would be happy with for our wedding. She was so kind and patient in the face of our indecisiveness. We were thrilled with the result! All of the arrangements looked phenomenal and were exactly what we were looking for, even if we didn't know it initially. Laura also works closely with some fantastic florists who assisted on the day of our wedding to really turn our beautiful venue into something spectacular. -

Laura is fantastic. When I went to her home for our first meeting, she had quite the setup on her dining room table with a huge tv/monitor and my pinterest board already pulled up. She is so knowledgable about flowers and makes great recommendations for how she thinks your vision will work in reality. We had to change our whole game plan the week of the wedding because the weather wasn't going to cooperate for an outdoor ceremony. Laura called the venue, discussed the inside setup, and constructed an amazing floral garland archway for us from scratch. It made the indoor ceremony feel outdoors. All of our guests said how gorgeous the flowers were. I was so heartbroken that I didn't know about the proper ways to preserve my bouquet until it was too late that I found someone online to paint a watercolor of it because I loved it so much.Laura is fantastic. Wow. Where to begin...I called Laura about two months before my wedding, and totally lucked out that she had availability. I told her the the vibe I was going for and gave her our wedding colors, and she created something absolutely beautiful that was better than anything I could have dreamed up on my own. We had planned to have our ceremony outside under the venue's pergola, which she had planned to decorate with lights and fall foliage. When our ceremony had to be moved indoors, she created an arch indoors that gave the same effect that turned out to give the same effect, allowing us to feel like we had an outdoor ceremony. The centerpieces were absolutely beautiful, and she went out of her way to find items that matched our theme. All in all, I would absolutely recommend working with Laura at Loda Floral Design. I planned my wedding out of state, without meeting any of my vendors. Let me tell you, that is one scary proposition!! But after one conversation with Laura on the phone, she had a vision for my wedding with little to no direction from me. She sent me some images that I immediately fell in love with and that was it! On my wedding day, we met for the first time! She hand delivered my bouquet to my hotel room before going to the venue to set up for my wedding. What service!!! The flowers looked exactly like the images we discussed and she created a magical affair. From the chuppah, to the bouquet, to the centerpieces, everything was stunning! I wanted a very minimalistic modern look for my wedding and she created that with flair! My guests are still raving about the flowers! I wholeheartedly recommend Laura. Floral Perfection!
Laura helped to create the exact wedding we imagined. She listened very specifically to our ideas and input, and helped mold them into a reality. She was a consummate professional, and extremely easy to work with. Her recommendations were objective and very thoughtful, aimed at giving us the most information about style, pricing, and availability of certain types of arrangements/flowers, and never being pushy. I think the most important thing in the end, was arriving at the church and reception venues and seeing not only exactly what we discussed, but better than I ever imagined. After being involved in many other weddings, with friends who were pushed to tears when the flowers were nothing like they discussed/expected, I knew I was in good hands with Laura, and she nailed it! Not to mention her prices were very competitive, and seemed like better value than several others we spoke to. Can't say enough about Laura or her expertise!!Floral Perfection!

Found Laura last minute since we planned on doing our own flowers and no regrets ! She is AMAZING !!! She went above and beyond and my flowers looked better then I could ever imagine ! First off I just need to say.. Laura is AMAZING.
When I first met with Laura at Loda Floral design, before I ever hired her, she had put together a story board of how she envisioned my flowers after filling out a questionaire. Basically from this point forward I was sold as having her as my floral designer.
After our initial meeting, I will admit I was negligent in sending her really any more details on what I really wanted... but it didn't matter because Laura had it all figured out for me. She looked at my pinterest board and just went off of our initital meeting.
She not only came up with all the designs for my ceremony space, centerpieces, aisle decor, and bouquets.. she also went to my venue on her own time just to make sure it would all be perfect. She also worked directly with my venue at the Textile museum to keep everything in code.
I will admit I was completely BLOWN AWAY the day of my wedding. For never really giving Laura any direction, she had come up with her own designs that were better than I ever could have told her I wanted. I was so pleased and got so many compliments on my flowers I was sad when I had to throw them away before our honeymoon.
Her responsivness, detail oriented nature and pure skill is unlike any other in the area. I would definitely recommend to anyone who needs flowers for their wedding to check her out... you will not be dissapointed.

I met with Loda and discussed what my idea for flowers was. I told Laura to go ahead and do what she thought would be best. Honestly, she made my vision. Our flowers were out of the world. Being that I had everything very simple, I wanted the flowers to be the focal point at the reception. I have to say, they most certainly were! I requested VA wildflowers and she and her mother went all over Northern VA to gather fresh and local wildflowers!! Service was just amazing! I've only been hearing WONDERFUL things about our flowers. Thank you so much LODA!I met with Loda and discussed what my idea for flowers was. Laura was great. She was able to create something beautiful with me knowing nothing about flowers and not really being able to tell her what I wanted. I showed her a few pictures and she created something that looked wonderful with all our other decor. We got tons of comments on how beautiful the flowers were. The best thing Laura did was create flowered collars for my dogs. My dogs were "flower dogs" in our wedding and they rode up the aisle in a wagon. The collars were just enough to say they were in the wedding without overpowering the dogs. Overall great to work with. I even recommended her to a friend of mine for a big birthday party.Laura was great. We can't say enough good things about Laura and Loda Floral Design. We met her not knowing a thing about flowers and only brought in a few photos of bouquets and centerpieces that we liked. We didn't even have our colors nailed down at the time. She listened to our very loose description of how we wanted our wedding to look and feel, and boy did she deliver! We had asked for the centerpieces to look like flower boxes because our wedding was in a garden and had a garden theme. The flowers were exactly what we had envisioned and made our wedding and rehearsal dinner look amazing. Everyone told us how gorgeous the flowers were, and even took photos of them to post as backgrounds on their facebook pages. Some of my girlfriends who had recently gotten married also told me they had bouquet envy. Laura was professional and helpful throughout the whole planning process. I called her a number of times for advice on caterers, venues, etc. and she was always willing to give her honest opinion since she has worked closely with many of the vendors in the industry and knows the good from the bad. We began working with Laura Williams, owner of Loda Floral Design, when a friend gave us a gift of flowers for our wedding party. What a wonderful gift!!! We supplemented the gift with additional flowers for the ceremony and reception. Laura easily navigated the line between gift and additional flowers purchased by us - and helping us stay within schedule and budget.
Working within a rapid time frame (whole wedding planned in two weeks), Laura quickly developed beautiful, refreshing floral designs that met the practical concerns of a hot summer day and a swimming pool. As my focus flower was delicate: blue irises, this was not as easy as it could have been!
A small swimming pool was located in the center of the ceremony location. Laura developed a graceful floating centerpiece -- and actually got in her swimsuit the morning of the wedding to install the floating arrangement!!! The crowning touch were a few floating irises at the side of the pool -- so artful !! and perfectly enhanced when mingled with a few of the white and ivory rose petals scattered by my flower girls.
Laura was the first vendor we began working with. Once the caterer was brought on board, we rethought the table centerpieces slightly as we developed the overall decor for the garden event. Laura remembered my request "I just want to keep it simple and have beautiful fresh flowers" and proposed a beautiful alternative for our garden reception.
Our flowers were coordinated, but perhaps in an unconventional way, coordinated by the colors of blue irises, white lilies and roses, and fresh greenery. My bouquet was just irises. My matron of honor was just white lilies. Boutineers were white roses, with blue thistle and another small pale blue flower. A gardenia for my mother, as that is her favorite flower. Other arrangements incorporated these flowers and more in this color range. The variety was well balanced and fitting for a casual summery garden wedding!
Laura was easy to work with over the phone, via email and internet (using Pinterest.com) -- we didn't actually meet until the day of the wedding!! She was skilled at discerning our aesthetic preferences and her creativity and flexibility as a designer are tremendous. I highly recommend her as a floral designer!

I met with a few other florist before meeting with Laura Williams of Loda Floral Designs. Laura was the only one who seemed to really listen to what I was saying about who me and my husband are as a couple and the look and feel we were going for at our wedding. She had a style board with ideas from what I showed her before even meeting in person. She went through each picture I showed her and asked what it was specifically I like about it. Was it the colors? the flowers? the size? etc. She really took the time to figure it out. Laura provided a proposal that included pictures to make sure we both understood what I was purchasing.
My husband and I planned our Maryland wedding from Michigan and Laura made it very easy to communicate with through phone and email. She was response and readily answered any questions I had.
All of the flowers were absolutely beautiful on the day of the wedding! Everything was EXACTLY how I had pictured it in my head. From the bouquets to the centerpieces, I wouldn't have changed a thing! Laura created a beautiful for our ceremony with turquoise fabric and cascading orange flowers to create a beautiful backdrop.

I met with a few other florist before meeting with Laura Williams of Loda Floral Designs. Laura was the only one who seemed to really listen to what I was saying about who me and my husband are as a couple and the look and feel we were going for at our wedding. She had a style board with ideas from what I showed her before even meeting in person. She went through each picture I showed her and asked what it was specifically I like about it. Was it the colors? the flowers? the size? etc. She really took the time to figure it out. Laura provided a proposal that included pictures to make sure we both understood what I was purchasing.
My husband and I planned our Maryland wedding from Michigan and Laura made it very easy to communicate with through phone and email. She was response and readily answered any questions I had.
All of the flowers were absolutely beautiful on the day of the wedding! Everything was EXACTLY how I had pictured it in my head. From the bouquets to the centerpieces, I wouldn't have changed a thing! Laura created a beautiful for our ceremony with turquoise fabric and cascading orange flowers to create a beautiful backdrop.

She had cards sorted by color with large pictures of each flower to make the selection process clearer and had even set up a concept board for our first meeting based on our phone conversation.
During the day of, the flowers were actually one of the things I was most excited to see. They were as beautiful as I expected and put together with a thoughtful eye for detail and balance. As a design professional, I am pretty picky about design and detailing, and Laura is quite good at it.

I came to Loda Floral on a recommendation from a friend, who indicated Laura, the owner, was flexible, creative and willing to work with clients with varying budgets -- my friend was right! Laura seemed to "get" the overall look and feel of what my husband and I wanted for our day, even if I didn't feel like I was explaining it very well. Imagine my delight when after our initial consultation, I got a proposal from Laura that included an altar design she found online that she thought I might like. I loved it and I took her up on it! She built it from scratch and it turned out beautifully. She was punctual and friendly and willing to swap out certain flowers if I didn't feel they were quite right. Loda Floral Design did a fabulous job for the arrangements and bouquets for our wedding.
When my mom and I first met Laura, we both had a good feeling about her and her work. She went over several ideas and asked for pictures of the dresses, venue, linens, etc. in order to design a scheme which complimented other elements of the wedding which was aligned with our budget.
Laura has the ability to see the space three dimensionally which contributes to the design of the centerpieces being perfect for the reception space. We had so many compliments on our centerpieces and we loved them - it made it worth every penny!

Loda Floral Design was recommended to me by a family member and I am more than grateful as the service I received was beyond outstanding. Laura was very warm and easy to work with. Laura is very creative and knowledgeable in flowers therefore she was able to make the most beautiful arrangements out of the small budget I had to offer. I could not be more thrilled with both the service that was provided and the results that were achieved (gorgeous flowers!) by Loda Floral Design.
The planning time period for our wedding was short enough, but when I started going down the path with another florist that didn't feel "right," I was starting to be worried about having flowers at our wedding and reception. Loda Floral Design not only swooped in and saved the day, but also exceeded the expectations I had for the flowers.
Loda Floral Design listened very carefully to the description of what I was envisioning for the flowers - the look (the colors, flowers that I was interested in incorporating, etc.) and the feel (the mood that the florals would set when guests entered the reception). Also, upon Loda Floral Design's suggestion, I passed along a link to the Pinterest board where I had been pinning ideas. With this information, Loda Floral Design put together a proposal that was not only timely, but incredibly professional. Suggestions and prices were provided for each member of the wedding party and for the reception - which included centerpieces on the tables, flowers for our photo display table, and other centerpieces on the cocktail hour tables. Loda Floral Design also suggested in the proposal vases at the reception for the wedding ceremony bouquets, and tea lights for the tables. These are extra details that we had not even thought to consider, but definitely added to the overall ambiance.
On the day of our wedding, the wedding ceremony flowers arrived and we could not have been happier... until we arrived to the reception, and everything was taken up another notch - the flowers at the reception were amazing. All of the flowers were perfect and Loda Floral Design captured exactly the look and feel for which we were aiming. Loda Floral Design is absolutely amazing!!!!
I consider myself a very particular/hard to please person (just ask my other wedding vendors haha), and I can say that Loda Floral Design not only met my expectations and vision but completely exceeded them!!!
From an initial e-mail where I had stated some general concepts/ideas, we went to Laura's home and she had made a concept board for our wedding that completely captured my vision. She just gets it!!!
We were so excited from the inital consultation that I'm pretty sure we signed the contract right there. Coordinating and finalizing details of the event was easy with Laura and she is a true professional in that she presents you with all the information you need to make a decision and make sure you have all of the components of the wedding covered.
She is also extremely creative and sought out appropriate stands for our arrangements during our ceremony and also was able to exactly replicate a flower girl wand I found online.
When I walked into the wedding and saw the flowers, I was so pleased. They were absolutely stunning, and of course exactly what we had discussed!!

Laura Williams and Loda Floral Design created the most amazing and beautiful floral arrangements for my wedding! The centerpieces were stunning - with a gorgeous balance of color, shape, texture. She took Mother Nature to the next level! The bouquets were gorgeous - with shades of pink and purple complementing the bridesmaid dresses and decor. My "bouquet" was a giant dinner-plate dahlia - unique and bold and Laura accented the flower with greenery that was light and airy. She was so accommodating and really "got" what I liked. She made an adorable keepsake headband for my baby - soft and stretchy to wear comfortably and with dried flowers that will preserve well. The arch for my ceremony was flanked by wavy branches and covered with a green garland that had just the right amount of blooms placed to "pop", and they were removeable so guests could take a flower too afterwards. I was so happy with my flowers, they looked amazing and so many people complimented me on them as well! I loved the way they turned out, especially since I was pretty vague about what I wanted.
