I worked with Lockstar for my wedding in July of 2023. April helped coordinate everything leading up to the event, and then we had Alyson and Tara doing my hair and my bridal party's hair. Everyone was so happy with their style, and I loved my updo I got!Lockstar Weddings's reply:

Incredible Team of HMUA!!
The wedding team at Lockstar was a dream to work with!! I always knew I wanted to book my HMUA’s through a salon so that everyone knew each other and worked well together and they did not disappoint! The trial with Cassie & Diana went great & they even did a trial for my mom. The day of the wedding everyone loved spending time with the team. Everyone was so kind and helpful with the women who prefer less makeup. They stayed right on schedule and worked together swimmingly! I changed my hair style from trial to wedding day (personal preference) and Cassie absolutely killed it!!! Diana is so wonderful and has become my go to for makeup. One of my friends booked Lockstar for her wedding because of how much I raved to her about them :)Lockstar Weddings's reply:

Thank you Lockstar Weddings for making myself, my sister and my mother look the best versions of ourselves for my wedding! Our stylist, Monica, is a total gem - she made the environment fun and upbeat with great music and fun stories while giving each of us one-of-a-kind glam sessions. Our hair and makeup lasted for the entire evening (no touch-ups needed) and our looks radiated in all of our photos - pure magic! I am so thankful to have worked with the Lockstar Weddings team (shoutout to Monica, April and Brooke) and will highly recommend them to anyone in need of a top-tier beauty experience!Lockstar Weddings's reply:

Perfect Makeup Vendor
The Lockstar team is amazing. Brooke is quick to respond to your emails and is so on top of the schedule. Cassie did my hair - she was attentive and listened to exactly what I wanted. When a bridesmaid wanted a complicated up-do, Cassie and Michael pulled up a how to video and got it done. There was no length they wouldn't go to ensure we all felt our best. Diana did my makeup and nailed it. I do not wear a lot of makeup in general and have sensitive skin. She went over all the products with me and made me feel perfect with a makeup - no makeup look. I even bought all the products she used on me after the wedding!Lockstar Weddings's reply:

I got married Sept 10th at the Wyndham and had been most nervous about my hair and makeup. I normally don’t wear any, so having extensions and a full face was daunting to me. Yet, Lockstar Beauty’s team completely nailed my look. They were extremely professional and efficient with their getting ready process. Emily was my hair stylist and I can’t tell you how many people complimented my hair! I forget the name of the girl who did my makeup (I’m sorry)!! But she made me feel so beautiful. All of my bridesmaids were very impressed with how their hair and makeup turned out as well.Lockstar Weddings's reply:

I can't speak highly enough about Lockstar- I had Dorisa and Kelsey come to do hair and makeup for myself and my eight other bridesmaids/ my maid of honor and they made what could have been a very stressful process so easygoing and FUN. Candie is also extremely organized and made communication about pricing and payments a very easy process. I (being incredibly indecisive) changed my hair and makeup style a few weeks before the wedding (I decided to do more dramatic makeup and I bought hair extensions, which we didn't do either at the trial) and both Kelsey and Dorisa were unbelievably accommodating and reassuring that they could handle whatever changes I threw their way- and wow they were right- I felt BEAUTIFUL on my wedding day. I really can't thank these ladies enough. I absolutely recommend using Lockstar Beauty Bar for your wedding. -

Lockstar was absolutely amazing! They not only accommodated a wedding party of ten plus mothers/grandmothers, but made every girl feel absolutely beautiful! We had so much fun with them the morning of the wedding, with April and her team putting everyone at ease and making every girl feel special and beautiful. I would highly recommend Lockstar to any bride that wants to feel gorgeous on her wedding day! They truly are the best! -

Erica Sent on 09/04/2018I was in Newport for a wedding and I ultimately chose Lockstar because of their proximity and rates. From start to finish, the owner April was great at answering my questions and helping me through the booking process. I sent over a difficult hairdo but their stylist Kate did an amazing job with the execution! She was fun to talk to and really boosted my confidence through the whole experience! My only feedback would be that Kate started 30 minutes late which really set me behind and almost made me late to the wedding. BUT other than that, I would go back time and time again!

April was a dream to work with! I reached out to a few salons, looking for make-up artists in the Newport area. April responded to my request within minutes of my inquiry and from that point on, things could not have been any better! The two make-up artists she sent were talented, listened to what the bridesmaids wanted, and were so professional. My daughter was stunning! I would highly recommend Lockstar Beauty Bar to anyone looking for top notch quality at a reasonable price. I was never hit with unexpected costs and all of her services were clearly spelled out in the contract. We were also given a wedding day schedule, which was so helpful! The bridesmaids knew exactly what time they would be having their make-up done, and by whom. That also helped with times for hair, for we brought our hometown hairstylists with us and they could work their schedule around the make-up. Having that, made for a stress free day. We couldn't be happier!! -

April and Candie at Lockstar took care of my bridal party during the COVID-19 pandemic. They were very professional and got all four of us safely in and out while making us look absolutely fabulous. April was very responsive to my requests and made the vision of my wedding day hair come true. -
