We’re so happy we decided to trust Cassie from Liz Moore Weddings with our hotel block booking for our destination wedding in Mexico! While we had already chosen our venue, we needed help finding the right accommodations for our group and Cassie found us the perfect fit.
We were looking for a resort that offered both adults-only and family-friendly sections, along with plenty of vegan dining options since my husband and I are both vegan. Cassie listened to all our requests and came back with multiple great options. Once we chose TRS Yucatan/Grand Palladium, she made the entire booking process incredibly easy for us and all our guests. She even took the time to go into our wedding website and personally input all the necessary information, which I really appreciated.
Our guests had no issues making their reservations, and the resort exceeded all our expectations. It was absolutely beautiful. The concessions we received through Liz Moore’s block booking were an added bonus, and Cassie’s responsiveness and attention to detail throughout the process made everything feel seamless. To all brides I would just say remember to be patient and trust the process!

We had the absolute best experience with Liz Moore Destination Weddings, especially working with Cassie, truly gold stars all around.
Honestly, I was probably a client from hell for most of the process. I was stressed, overwhelmed, constantly second guessing myself, and could never fully make up my mind. Through all of it, Cassie was nothing but patient, understanding, and incredibly accommodating. At one point, we were very close to booking a resort and almost ready to lock in rooms when we completely changed directions because we realized it was over budget… exactly like Cassie had gently warned us it might be. I was so nervous to tell her we wanted to start over, but she responded so kindly and professionally, and we simply moved on to finding another resort that worked better for us.
My biggest advice to anyone planning a destination wedding: just trust Cassie’s advice. I definitely challenged her recommendations more than I should have because I was anxious and indecisive, and somehow she always ended up being right. I sent more than a few “okay, you were 100% correct” emails throughout the process. She truly has your best interests at heart and wants you to have the best experience possible.
What impressed me most was how supportive she was from beginning to end and even during the trip itself. I was messaging her once we arrived at the resort and throughout our stay whenever we had questions, and she was always available to help clarify things or talk us through anything we needed.
I’m honestly shocked you don’t have to pay thousands of dollars for this level of service. She handles all the communication and sorting with the hotels, helps narrow down the perfect resort, and takes so much stress off your shoulders. We couldn’t have done this without her, and I would recommend Liz Moore Destination Weddings and Cassie over and over again. -

Carolina at Liz Moore Weddings was absolutely amazing to work with! She was attentive, organized, and explained everything so clearly throughout the entire planning process. She helped us find the perfect resort that catered to my gluten allergy, stayed within our budget, and matched exactly what we were looking for for our wedding week.
She was also incredibly helpful with all of our guests — answering their millions of questions, helping them plan their trips, and making the whole process so much less stressful for us. Having someone handle all the travel details and communication was such a huge help.
We truly couldn’t have done it without her and would highly recommend Carolina and Liz Moore Weddings to anyone planning a destination wedding or vacation! 🤍

We worked with Janel to plan our destination wedding in Cancun! She was very responsive, knowledgeable, and professional. We communicated many times through email/text, but it was as if she knew when we needed to talk on the phone! She was always there for us throughout the whole process. The resort she recommended was nothing short of amazing! We had a few concerns around reservations at the resort and Janel worked to rectify this as quickly as possible. Janel has a lot of knowledge around the resorts, Mexico, the vendors at the resort, etc. My husband and I couldn't have done this without her. When we did have a small concern related to lack of communication from the resort, not only did Janel work to find out the issue, but Liz was also involved. We felt like we had the whole company taking care of us...a great feeling when you are planning a wedding so far away! At the recommendation of a Finest Punta Cana Brides Facebook Group, I reached out to Liz Moore Weddings (https://www.lizmooredestinationweddings.com/) and worked with Travel Coordinator: Delia Cruz (I have linked her info below). Delia worked basically as a liaison between myself and the hotel. She was extremely knowledgeable and well versed in the workings of the Finest Punta Cana and was able to guide me through this entire process. I honestly can’t imagine trying to organize everything just with the hotel alone given that communication with them can be very slow. Delia provided me with all of the contracts, booking promo codes and even a sample Wedding Website through “The Knot”. I had already begun building one with Zola but the information was super useful! Working with Delia is free of charge as I believe she is paid by the hotel - don’t quote me on that. I highly recommend her or any other travel agent/coordinator familiar with the Finest/Excellence collection and booking destination weddings as a whole.
Delia was ESPECIALLY helpful when my promo code stopped working a couple of times. Around Christmas and again at the end of January a couple of my guests reached out to me to let me know that they were trying to book rooms and that the promo code was “invalid”. I reached out to Delia and she had it fixed within 24 hours!
As you may or may not be aware, the promo code allows your guests to book their room for your wedding with only a $1 deposit. Their room is then charged 30-45 days prior to their arrival. Delia advised that calling the hotel and having them “charge” all of the rooms while you are on the phone with them is WISE for a couple of reasons:
Many times people book their rooms well in advance using credit cards that may no longer be in service or expired.
If these cards are not active or cards are declined, the resort will only hold room reservations for 48 hours. Automated messages are sent to these guests however, Delia advised that many times the emails get sent to spam and guests are not alerted that their payment was received until they receive an email informing them that their room was canceled, at this point, your promo code has expired and it’s too late for them to rebook with the discount.
I called 35 days prior to our wedding and had them run everyone’s credit card while they were on the phone with me (this took 5 minutes), the service team member then was able to tell me that 5 of my guests’ cards had been declined. We were then able to reach out to those guests and let them know they needed to go in and change their billing information within the next 48 hours.

We had such an amazing experience working with Jessica Pong at Liz Moore while planning our destination wedding in Punta Cana. From start to finish, Jessica was incredibly helpful, organized, and responsive.
She took the time to answer all of our questions (and we had a lot!), always making sure we felt confident and informed throughout the entire process. One of the things we appreciated most was how she assisted our guests with their bookings, she made everything seamless and stress-free for everyone attending.
Jessica also acted as a great line of communication between us and the hotel coordinators, which made a huge difference. Having someone advocate for us and keep everything on track really helped the planning process run smoothly.
We truly couldn’t have done it without her. Highly recommend Jessica to anyone planning a destination wedding! -

I had emailed Janel very early on. A good 2 years or so before getting married. She was responsive and very patient with all my questions and trying to decide on what to do.

Working with Cristina was a dream. Once we decided to have a destination wedding I was immediately filled with anxious thoughts about how to organize it all and where we should choose without ever having visited the location. I happened to find Cristina on TikTok and I messaged her and I felt instantly comfortable.
I explained my vision to her and she began sending me venues and hotels that matched what we were looking for based on our budget and the quality we desired.
We wanted a location that was great for adults and children and close to the airport. We chose Moon Palace Cancun. Cristina went above and beyond to calm any concerns me or my guests had leading up to our travels, she was so responsive and most of all patient. She made sure that we had the best deals, pricing and took care of any refunds or change of plans that were required from the guests. I feel blessed to have found her and would highly recommend her. Our wedding was more than my expectations, went totally smooth and I have Cristina to thank for that ! -

If you’re considering a destination wedding, I cannot recommend Cassie O’Connor enough! Planning a wedding in Cancun from another country (Dallas, TX) can feel overwhelming, especially with coordinating the resort, vendors, and countless emails. Thankfully, Cassie made what could have been a stressful experience feel effortless.
From day one, she was incredibly knowledgeable, organized, and always willing to help. Every email she sent was clear, detailed, and easy to follow, which made communication between us, our guests, and the resort so much smoother. She anticipated questions before we even had to ask and kept us informed every step of the way.
One of our favorite parts was the beautiful wedding website she created for us. It was not only gorgeous but also extremely informative for our guests. Everything they needed—from travel information and booking instructions to wedding events and FAQs was all in one place. It saved us so much time and made the entire planning process feel seamless.
Anyone who has planned a destination wedding knows how challenging it can be to communicate with the resort and coordinate all the moving pieces from afar. Having Cassie as our travel agent truly made all the difference. She bridged the gap between us and the resort, making sure nothing fell through the cracks and that every detail was addressed promptly.

We worked with Cassie O’Connor to plan our destination wedding, and we’re grateful for her help throughout the many stages of the process. Cassie was especially supportive in helping us find the right resort — we went through multiple rounds of suggestions, and she was always patient and responsive to our feedback. Her persistence really paid off, and we ended up with a resort that was a great fit for us and our guests.
We opted for the accommodations-only package, and Cassie played a key role in organizing the room booking process. She offered helpful recommendations along the way that made planning from a distance a lot easier to manage.
One thing we really appreciated was how Cassie helped get the communication flowing with the resort at the beginning. There was a bit of a lack of responsiveness from the resort early on, and Cassie stepped in to follow up on our behalf and make sure our questions and concerns were being addressed. That helped ease some initial stress and gave us more confidence moving forward.
Based on some guest feedback, some of our guests mentioned that there were a few times when responses to questions took a bit longer than expected. That said, we still genuinely appreciated her efforts and commitment to making our destination wedding possible and so perfect.
We appreciate the time and effort Cassie put into helping us plan our dream destination wedding. Planning a destination wedding can seem overwhelming, we would recommend her to couples looking for early-stage guidance and someone to help navigate the resort selection and booking process. -

Our Cabo Dream Wedding
My husband and I reached out to LizMoore in January of 2019 as we had set our sites on a destination wedding and had heard great things about their services.
Choosing a resort was not easy. There are so many options in Mexico! But once we had the location and some details decided on (5 star but allows children in Los Cabos) it was much easier to decide.
Once you have your resort chosen and time of the year, be prepared for a lot of back and fourth about flights and vacation packages! We chose Westjet vacations and have friends all over Canada. Trying to guess how many people would come and which airport they would be flying out of, was not a simple task but Keeley was so professional and helpful during this task.
Once that step is over, you are passed along to a wedding coordinator at your resort. We chose Dreams Los Cabos and our coordinator was Virginia. She was so amazing! Unfortunately, 6 months later Virginia moved on to another position and we were passed off to another coordinator named Karina (who was lovely but much less attentive and detail oriented than Virginia).
Overall, our wedding day and trip as a whole was AMAZING! We were blown away and overwhelmed by the wedding decor/set up and the ability to visit with our best friends and close relatives for a whole week in paradise.
I will admit that there were some small hiccups through the resort that didn't feel small at the time. Here is a brief summary:
1. There were a few guests that the resort stated that they did not have reservations for. They were given rooms eventually but had to deal with a bunch of stress for a few hours until it was sorted.
2. We were not given an upgrade but many of our friends were (amazing top floor suites with multiple rooms etc. etc. ... strange that preference wasn't given to the wedding couple but we didn't fuss).
3. My husband's parents and many other guests were given rooms with 2 doubles rather than 1 king they had requested. Again, nothing we would have stressed over, but his parents were definitely not impressed.
4. Our photographer that we paid to bring from Canada was not on the WestJet transfer pickup list from to transfer back to the airport at the end of the trip. The bus driver argued with us about whether she had to pay for the transfer back. Again, annoying, but got sorted out.
5. The 'makeup artist' was not a makeup artist nor could she speak English ... Thankfully I had lots of friends and family who are resourceful and talented and the day turned out to be absolute PERFECTION.
6. For guests that were not staying at Dreams, they had to pay for a day pass to join us. Our contract stated that the cost was $115 USD per person but there was fine print that stated that they could only come 1 hour in advance of the wedding and then had to depart within 30 minutes of the wedding ending. However, the resort security was telling people different prices throughout the week.
Overall, LizMoore's service (specifically Keeley Dahl), helpfulness, and flexibility was fantastic! We especially loved being upgraded to plus seats round trip on our flights round trip. Thank you so much!!! I believe most (if not all) hiccups were Dreams related and at the end of the day we are incredibly happy and everyone had an amazing time!

Lyssa came recommended to us by our daughter who was recently married at a destination wedding. We were looking for the same. We did most of the legwork to narrow down the resort we wanted. Lyssa helped us make the final decision. We definitely chose the right resort. Lopesan Costa Bavaro was amazing! It was beautiful, very clean, excellent service and the food was really good. There was a total of 47 people for our wedding. As hosts of this many people, you obviously worry about your guests to make sure they're having a great time. For the most part, they did their own thing. Almost on a daily basis, we would bump into them and many would comment about how great the resort was. It is very big and there were a lot of people but it never felt crowded. There is plenty of space to scatter and enjoy yourself. Our wedding coordinator was outstanding. She helped us make decisions on all aspects of the wedding and we couldn't have asked for anything better. For a wedding size of around 50, we were married on the beach. Our cocktail hour was at the Unique Club bar and the reception was at the Unique Club restaurant. They were all in essentially the same location. The venues were perfect for this size and we would highly recommend the same for others. During the process, you will require some patience because a lot of the communication with the resort is done via email. More focused discussions were done over the phone and they were much more productive. We'd imagine we would have the same level of stress dealing with local venues. Although the wedding package we chose included most of the options we wanted, be advised that they include basic finishings. You can add whatever you want at extra costs. Looking back, the process was excellent. During the wedding itself, Eliana ran the show and everything went smoothly. As for the resort, you need to book your restaurant reservations as soon as possible because space gets fill up quickly. We had a butler and he did most of that for us but other guests just used the on-site app to do this. Our experience with Lyssa was outstanding. She we very responsive with plenty of recommendations and suggestions. She helped make this experience so much better. We highly recommend their services. -

Updating this review. The owner of Liz Moore Destination Weddings reached out after I posted about my bad experience using this company to attend a friend's destination wedding in Cancun. The owner quickly looked into the problems that I encountered on my trip and provided a refund for the specific items that went wrong. I am satisfied with the level of service I received after the fact, although I wish the travel agent we originally worked with or the company's vacation help line would have handled the situation during/after our trip when I reached out. If you use this service, I recommend steering away from 'newer' agents and confirming all reservations made on your behalf directly with the vendors.
We worked with Rashmi, who had two jobs - reserve our ground transfer and hotel room - and both went wrong. (UPDATE: the owner refunded the cost of these services that went haywire.) Furthermore, the company's vacation help line goes to a call center with no actual ability to help you. (UPDATE: still true, but I am satisfied with how the owner resolved the problems several months later.) -

I would not recommend Liz Moore Weddings based on our experience. One of the main reasons we hired a destination wedding planning company was to reduce stress, but unfortunately, it had the opposite effect.
We worked directly with both Nicole and Liz, and communication was a consistent issue throughout the entire process. Emails were not responded to in a timely manner, and phone calls often went unanswered, even when we were up against important deadlines. The only option was to call their 800 number and explain the urgency to a phone attendant, who ultimately could not assist and could only escalate the message. This created unnecessary stress and delays for us and our guests.
Because of the lack of responsiveness and urgency, many of our guests experienced confusion when trying to book accommodations. As a result, around 20 guests ended up booking directly through the resort instead of through our room block, something that felt completely avoidable with better communication and organization.
What was most disappointing was the lack of empathy from the owner when these concerns were raised. Planning a wedding is already stressful, and we expected a higher level of support and understanding from a company that specializes in destination events.
If I could do it over again, I would strongly recommend exploring other options, such as working with a service like Destify or booking directly through the resort to have more control and clearer communication.
