We couldn't imagine getting married anywhere else! Live Wire is a family owned business with a true family feel. All of their staff were incredible leading up to and on our big day. As an Athens local it was incredible to get to regularly visit Live Wire at their public events (shout out to Tiki Taco Tuesday) as it made the space feel like home. If you are looking for a unique venue for an amazing party - this is the spot!! -

We chose Live Wire Athens for our wedding reception because of its location, aesthetic, and positive reviews from previous weddings. The staff was responsive and provided helpful recommendations for additional vendors. Erin and co. were fast to communicate and respond to our questions and helped us coordinate and plan from across the country. We loved the space (before and after the remodel) and the way it reflected our personal style. Folks loved the customized marquee sign, as well. The lush greenery outside was gorgeous for our early November reception. Many thanks to Erin and her staff for making our day magical; Go Dawgs! -

Elegance + Athens Charm = Perfect Venue
We could not be more excited for our big day, and feel that we couldn't have found a better venue for our wedding. As lovers of the Athens music and bar scene, LiveWire Athens offers the perfect balance between elegance and Athens charm. There isn't a venue in the world that is more "us"! Erin has been incredible in helping us customize our day by offering a variety of packages that fit our wishlist for a reasonable price. As soon as Erin gave us the tour and went over their packages, there wasn't a need to look at other venues. Erin is super responsive with communications and so easy to work with. We are over the moon excited for our big day! Thank you Erin, and everyone at LiveWire Athens! -

My wife Morgan and I have enjoyed working with Live Wire. We decided to have an anniversary party since we didn't have a wedding due to COVID. After speaking with different vendors it was clear the Live Wire Athens was the right choice. They offer great flexibility and are very responsive to all our questions. -

Smooth planning process with Erin and Erika at Live Wire made for a relaxing and enjoyable rehearsal dinner !!
Erin and Erika at LiveWire made planning my first ever and very special rehearsal dinner for my son and daughter in law. They explained the timeline and deadlines for head-counts, menus and other items needed well in advance so that I never felt rushed or unprepared!!
By the time we got to a week away from the event we had everything settled and had communicated each and every detail. We were able to enjoy the evening with the help Of Live Wires attentive staff.

While planning our 2022 wedding we met with multiple venues, but as soon as we walked into LiveWire we knew it was perfect. Erin and her team were responsive, understanding, and gave us so many packages to choose from and customize. Every other vendor I book (including flowers, cake, caterer) has wonderful things to say about working with LiveWire. I just know our day will be perfect. -

Nothing but excellent!
Everything was AMAZING!! The staff were all very friendly, efficient and accommodating. It was a wonderful evening enjoyed by everyone. Shout out to your sound/music guy......he made the evening fun and entertaining! And Erin was so easy to work with in planning and everything was exactly like we discussed. After we visited Live Wire for the first time, I knew right away this was the perfect space for our reception. Andrew and Erin awesome, and really made the process easy. While this is certainly not the cheapest option in Athens, it is worth the money, in my opinion. They do some of the coordination work, however, I do recommend still having a day-of coordinator because we had our ceremony elsewhere. The space is really kind of rustic/industrial which is exactly what we were going for. We had 86 guests and 8-9 people at each table and it was PERFECT. I wouldn't recommend any more than 8-9 people at that size table or you would be on top of each other, and I think max you can fit 12 tables in there (and you would have to move 2 after dinner to clear the dance floor), so this isn't a space for a massive wedding, but it was absolutely awesome for our number of guests! We had our cocktail hour in the bar area and outside, and then opened up the big barn doors for dinner and dancing. I love the drama of the barn doors, it was perfect. As well, there is corn hole outside and several picnic tables up on the patio area to the side, so people can sit out if they like. We also had our buffet along the wall outside just to try to keep more room inside, and it worked perfectly. They have the main bar inside, as well as a portable bar they can set up outside for cocktail hour, so there were plenty of bartenders! They also own a tent that they can set up (for only the price of setup rather than renting a tent and setting it up with someone else!) if the weather is looking bad. We didn't wind up needing it, but it was very nice to know that we had the option and could decide kind of last minute if we needed it. Our reception turned out perfectly and the space is amazing! Highly recommend! -

We knew the first time we went to Live Wire that it was the perfect venue for our wedding. The space, decor, and overall layout were perfectly-suited for both our reception and ceremony. We were drawn to the fact that it's a family-run business, which felt more personal during a time where we were overwhelmed by all of our options. They took time to meet with us on numerous occasions, including meeting with other members of our family to make sure that everything was perfect. Erin was fair and flexible, and did a great job of getting everything organized and running smoothly. Our vendors had a great experience working with them, as did our family members that were involved in setting up the day-of. All of the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and were a huge asset in making our wedding day perfect. As big music fans, their lighting and sound equipment were top-tier for musical entertainment. We'd recommend Live Wire to anyone looking for a fun and intimate setting for their wedding, reception, or both. -

Favorite Venue in Athens!
I have held several events at Live Wire over the past 4 years. Each time, I am reminded why I continue to book with them. They are helpful, attentive and very friendly. Their patio space is awesome! You cant find this at any other venue in downtown Athens. We held a luncheon for my daughters high school graduation, complete with a taco bar, and photo booth. It was the perfect space for our family to gather for a meal and drinks to celebrate. I highly suggest the venue and their team! You won't be disappointed! -

Wedding Ceremony + Reception
Live Wire Athens was our venue for our wedding. This place was a very good size for our list of 120-130 guest. The exposed brick and barn doors added a homey feel while still feeling formal enough. If in the summertime, there is a courtyard for the ceremony and an inside area for dancing, food and everything else. We were even able to have a fire pit and hot chocolate bar in the courtyard for our Winter Wonderland. They also have a parking space for a food truck and the most gorgeous string lights around! This family-owned business will work with you as best as the can to make your wedding day a dream. -

Beautiful venue and great night! … after a few blunders
DOUBLE CHECK UGA HOME GAME SCHEDULE! We are not local to the area, and did not know the UGA football schedule, so we asked LiveWire for guidance on scheduling around home games. They were not honest on the schedule when we suggested a date; this created quite a panic finding lodging for our guests when we realized we scheduled during a home game weekend; this forced us to change the date. It was too late to find another venue without penalty, so we were stuck. They eventually dropped the change fee, but we had to pay more after moving from a Friday to Saturday😔 The night itself was fantastic, but I was disappointed in losing money because of their lack of communication. -
