Sheila is absolutely amazing! If you’re looking for a live painter, look no further - Our wedding painting was a gift from my grandmother (who has been attending her art classes every week for over 20 years!). I have always loved her work and loved seeing our painting come to life, the guests loved it as well! She is incredible at what she does and going home with the painting the night of the wedding was such a treat. She captured my vision perfectly along with the essence of the day & venue! Cannot recommend Sheila enough!!! -

Having recently celebrated our first wedding anniversary, we can’t help but think about how grateful we are for having Sheila paint our first dance. Over the last year, we looked at our photo album and video footage once or twice but the same does not go for our painting. We have the pleasure of looking at our painting, hanging up on our bedroom wall EVERY single day. Sheila used her talent to beautifully capture one of the most special moments of our wedding night and turn it into a stunning piece of art. Not only is Sheila a pleasure to work with, she is extraordinarily talented. To this day, our wedding guests still talk about how incredible it was to see Sheila demonstrate her talent and create such beautiful art during the reception. I would recommend Sheila a millions times over! -

I asked Sheila to paint watercolor portraits of my guests throughout my wedding. She is an incredibly talented artist, who is also kind and a pleasure to work with. One of the highlights of my wedding night was seeing my guests come up to me, portrait in hand, with huge smiles on their faces. Many said they were looking forward to getting them framed. She also mailed my husband and I a portrait, since we didn't get a chance to get one during the craziness of the night. I couldn't be happier that I met Sheila. -

Sheila was incredible talented and passionate about her work. She met with us for a site visit to determine what scene we wanted to be painted. She arrived early to begin painting the background before the ceremony. The guests all commented on how enjoyable she was to talk with and watch create. At the end of the night, we had a completed masterpiece capturing our first dance. It’s become a treasured keepsake from our special day. Sheila was a pleasure to work with and her artwork is stunning. -

As my wedding gift my husband surprised me with hiring Sheila to paint our wedding. I knew nothing about it until I met her at our wedding reception! I absolutely love our painting (the one featured at Danversport Yacht Club) it is so realistic and brings back amazing memories every time I look at it hung on our wall. -

Everyone loved seeing the artwork come to life throughout the night. My husband and I absolutely love the painting. It is so neat that you can tell exactly who everyone is in the painting. Sheila included so many small details that help us remember all the little things about our wedding. Her work is beautiful. -

Sheila did such a beautiful job capturing my husband and I’s love on our wedding day! Sheila was a pleasure to work with. She listened to my idea and truly brought it to life! It was truly amazing to see this vision in action. All of our guests were blown away while watching her paint during the reception. Sheila is so kind and very talented! I am so lucky to have received this canvas as a gift from my grandmother who has known Sheila for years, as her art teacher. We are grateful for her thoughtfulness and professionalism. Perfect fit
I knew I wanted to book a live painter as a surprise for my fiance. I wanted to have my fiance's father painted in to the photo as he had recently passed. I reached out to several in my area absolutely unsure of who I should chose. After weighing what I thought of their artwork/style and the costs they quoted, I landed on Sheila as my best bet. She was one of the most affordable quotes I received and her style ranged at the top of what I saw available. I was still nervous (all the wedding gitters!) and unsure of how it would all work.
Sheila nailed it.
My guests loved her.
I did not have a planner just an event coordinator and Sheila was able to arrive ,get set up, find the things she needed and handle all the day of details herself. She received very little direction from me and organized herself very well.
She took my request and gave me the most beautiful gift for my fiance.
Sheila produced some of the most memorable moments from my wedding and was very kind and professional to work with.
My family, guests, and friends on Facebook are still raving about the photo.
If you're considering a live painter, I'd pick Sheila again in a heartbeat.

True talent and so much fun!
I hired Sheila to paint at my best friends wedding as a gift and it was nothing less of amazing! She not only created an beautiful painting, but her fun and enthusiastic style made the experience that much better! I truly cannot emphasize enough what a perfect addition Sheila was to the wedding as a whole, the bride loved it so much she cried, and the guests were absolutely blown away at Sheilas painting and upbeat personality. And to top it off- the painting was started and finished at the wedding, and it looked exactly like the couple! I will definitely be hiring Sheila again! -

Rusty Sent on 12/23/2017How lucky we are that Sheila Foley commemorated our daughter’s and son-in-law’s wedding. I had read an article in the Boston Globe newspaper (June 12, 2014) about her and was amazed to know that such a service existed! I looked her up, communicated via email, then we met and connected.
Sheila was a joy to be with before, during and after the wedding. My husband and I met her at her studio and got to see a few pieces in progress, as well as her finished art. We liked the concept and really liked Sheila. She was caring, thoughtful and a true professional. Her excitement mirrored ours.
It was easy to book her services and she had some suggestions which we liked and made part of the experience. Our guests were intrigued and were able to observe and chat with Sheila. She was unobtrusive yet still caught the splendor of the people and the event.
When we presented the painting to the newlyweds, we took a picture of their reactions. They reacted as we did: breathlessly surprised, delighted, amazed. It was a wonderful gift to them.
Thank you so very much, Sheila. You are a special person with a great talent to be able to preserve a special moment in peoples’ lives. -
